Very nice- with a gorgeous view of the beach. Within walking distance of restaurants, ice cream shops, shopping, and night life. The staff was kind and helpful. The rooms at Ocean Park Lodge were very nice, with gorgeous views of the beach. The beach is just steps away. The property has its own parking. The location was awesome- 20 minutes from the airport. Less than a half hour to several attractions: whale watching, the historic Del Coronado Hotel, San Diego Zoo, the shops in La Jolla. Our 11 year old granddaughter loved it too! There was nothing that we didn’t like.

A special thank you to Pat, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. He was incredibly, friendly, and truly made us feel welcome. His exceptional service truly made all the difference. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

I travelled with my three children and this hotel was fantastic! We loved the breakfast choices in the morning as well as the easy access to the beach!

Every base was covered for a successful stay. Beach towels, robes, beverages, pool towels, breakfast, all provided. Extra shout out for the woman managing breakfast who was STRESSED with that waffle maker, great stay, would def book again

Upon arrival at the hotel I received a very friendly welcome and check-in was smooth and efficient. Secure underground parking at USD 35 a night was also great. The hotel is located right on the beach, in a busy area with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The room was light and well appointed, offering a view of the pool and the beach and ocean. Due to it's location, the room was quite noisy, with loud music from outside audible in the room, as well as kids playing in the pool until late. Soundproofing could be better, as I heard guests in the room above walk back and forth all the time. Breakfast buffet was very, very basic and not what I had expected for this location. Best to go out for breakfast.

Location, swimming pool, the room had a wonderful view, the breakfast was very good. The extra cost for parking seems unnecessary. We were able to park on the street right beside the hotel for 3 days and nights as long as the car was moved once during the day.

We were given an upgrade at check in but I think it was smaller than what I had booked and was very noisy because we were right on the ally. Garbage truck are loud, people leaving work are loud. Ear plugs were given but didn't see them until our last nights stay. Breakfast was the same thing everyday. Scramble eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, hash browns. Eggs were cold most mornings, hash browns were under cooked. There was so extras like cheese or salsa to put on the eggs. We ate out after two disappointed mornings, but checked to see before we left if it was something different. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Has great knowledge of the area and can get you to where you need to go. I'd stay again it is a very cute room, location was great.

The staff apparently are not on the same page one staff member said he was gonna refund the parking never happen then I called again and talked to Jonathan who said the person that authorized that can’t do that and he was rude about it and uncompromising on the situation. Along with the night time guy don’t know if he was a manager or what but he would walk behind all the sliding doors 4 or five times a night was odd specially when are sliding glass door was open

The room was neat and well appointed. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was convenient but repetitive for a longer stay. The pod coffee in the room was good, better than the coffee served in the breakfast room. The location was great, with immediate access to restaurants, night life, groceries, and the beach. The underground garage parking was convenient but expensive. The Expedia rate was high relative to the direct hotel charges.

Perfect stay right by the sand. We didn’t realize we booked the weekend of SDSU graduation so we were worried about the noise/crowds. I can say that we had no reason to worry! Couldn’t hear anything from our room and never felt too crowded. We were able to borrow chairs and boogie boards and had a fantastic time on the beach. The room was super clean and staff was lovely. Breakfast was great too. We can’t wait to come back!

The beach is just across the street The loud music from the restaurant right next to the hotel was unbearable. The pool is very small. Breakfast was minimal. Overnight parking was expensive.

It’s not a bad hotel but breakfast is very subpar and needs attention and charging for parking that was something I never expected.

Special thanks to Jonathan and Pat for their professionalism and great customer service. We had a small request, and they handled it quickly and with a positive attitude, which we really appreciated. The rooms were very clean, the towels were fresh and spotless, and you can tell the property is maintained with care. Honestly, we did not expect the hotel to be this clean and comfortable. Everything from check-in to check-out went smoothly. Definitely recommend this hotel to others visiting the area.

Absolutely amazing location and fun spot to stay in San Diego! Joseph and staff were awesome….upgraded our room to FULL Ocean View for our 20th wedding anniversary! Took an uber from the airport and everything else was walkable OR we rented E bikes from the front desk one day and road to ocean beach, sunset cliffs and famous fish tacos at south beach bar & grille! Front desk also has chairs, umbrellas, etc for the beach! We can’t wait to come back and bring our our crew of teenage kids! Thank you Ocean Park Inn!

I loved everything about my stay. The room was very cute and clean. Breakfast was awesome. Staff were all very friendly. The paid parking at the hotel was totally worth it. They offered bike and other beach rentalswhich was really nice. My room faced the ocean and overlooked the pool. I left my door open with the closed screen at night so I could hear the ocean. The location was unbeatable, direct access to the boardwalk and beach. It was also very walkable. There is a grocery store that is like a 3 minute walk and tons of restaurants and coffee places. The Pacific Beach vibe was very cool. Totally would recommend.

While I noticed some guests mentioning noise concerns, this was not an issue for us. After spending a full day exploring San Diego and the beach, any background noise was minimal and easily managed. The room includes thoughtful touches like earplugs, and using the TV ( and they got a nice big tv ) or a fan effectively masks any outside sound. Even as a light sleeper, and with our room located directly across from the clubs, I slept comfortably without disruption. Overall, if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-kept place to stay, I would highly recommend this property. I was genuinely impressed and will absolutely be returning in the near future.

We had an ocean view room on the 1st floor which was easy access to the pacific beach; literally could walk there. Breakfast was alright; more fruits and pastries would of been a great addition. However your front desk person (Emily) made our stay worth the visit. She's has a great personality and knowledgeble as well as a nice sense of humor. 5-Stars Emily :-). Parking is tight at times so be cautious going in and out the secured area. We will be back, soon.

I loved the view of the ocean! If you stay here you must request the ocean view on floors 2 or 3! I enjoyed sleeping to the sound of the ocean! The board walk is busy with people so you will get the occasional noise or the lady who decided to sing with her karaoke machine(not so great). You get free breakfast, nothing to write home about but it was eatable(meh).The best thing is the waffles, but couldn't have it(glutten free). The staff were amazing! The parking was secure! I highly recommend this hotel!

The security at the hotel was visable after dark and the partiers next door were not too rowdie. I was comfortable staying there with my pre-teen daughters. You can't beat the location and the price. The staff was very nice and quick to fufill our every request.

The location was pretty un-beatable. Lots of restaurants as well as a grocery store a block away. We took Uber many times from our hotel and pickup was always super easy (next to the fire station). Rooms were clean and bright and very comfortable. Staff was always feiendly and helpful. Breakfast was a plus. The waffle maker was the highlight but there were plenty of other options as well. Pool was heated as well so that was great. Other families were staying as well and eveyone seemed to have enough space to enjoy their time. They even provide towels and toys to enjoy at the beach. The big plus was being able to leave lugguge after checkout because we had a late evening flight. They allowed us to stay and use the pool and restrooms until we had to leave which saved us a lot of headache. Overall an amazing stay and would highly recommend.

Breakfast menu was the usual fare, but abundant. I paid for an o Dan view but I mostly got a view of the pool area and the ocean beyond that. The pool and hot tub looked great and it seemed like many kids and adults enjoyed them. The beach was great and the boardwalk was certainly interesting

Front desk staff was super-friendly! Hotel is right on a beautiful beach. Family-friendly. Only negative is that this part of the beach has unhoused campers at night. But they were were quiet and kept to themselves. If that bothers you, ask for a 3rd floor room. Security is there all night too.

The water pressure for shower was awesome and water got hot.The staff were amazing.we stayed for 5 nights and the staff was in every day to change towels. The area was nice; on the beach; however, very much suited to a younger clientele as there is a bar next door that blares their music until 1230 am. We would return ; however we didn’t get to sleep until 1 am; so not likely our jam. But great for younger people!

The room was clean, beautifully decorated, with nice amenities including robes, rolling coffee tables, and ear plugs. We didnt have a angle that directly faced the beach, but that option was available and the view was amazing. The front desk staff was very kind and efficient, especially as we checked in super late due to late flight. The breakfast included a variety of eggs and sausage, cereals, pastries, and waffles. Ample parking in the parking garage, and we were able to drive a Kia Carnival into it. The hotel also had equipment to rent and we were able to rent bicycles for the boardwalk which was a nice bonus.

Ocean Park Inn is truly an amazing beachside gem. I was in town celebrating a friend’s birthday, and from check-in to check-out, I couldn’t have asked for better service. The staff was incredibly attentive and responsive. When my room key wasn’t working upon arrival, they immediately took action and got me settled without any hassle. The location is unbeatable: everything is within walking distance, making it easy to enjoy the area without needing a car. The continental breakfast hit the spot every morning and was the perfect way to start the day. My room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, and one of my favorite moments was relaxing on the balcony, watching the sunset in perfect 75-degree weather. It was the ideal escape, especially coming from New York City, where temperatures were in the teens and there was a foot of snow on the ground. This was exactly the weekend getaway I needed, and I will definitely be returning. Ocean Park Inn will be at the very top of my list the next time I’m in San Diego.

Room - I had a corner room facing Mission. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable, plenty of drawers for storage. Being across the street from the dive bar, it’s loud. Up until 2 am. They provide ear plugs but still…minus a star for all the noise that comes thru even with windows closed. But if your into the bar scene, good location. Sounded like people were having a good time. View was good though and I could still see the ocean even on the corner room facing Mission. Staff - are friendly. My door wasn’t locking so maintenance had to come up to fix the door, 10/10 attentiveness. Asked for extra blankets, they quickly provided them. Only one staff working at check in though I waiting >10 min to get the key to my room. Amenities - pool is heated, 9/10. Breakfast, 4/10. You’ll want to go elsewhere for food and coffee. Location - excellent location for quick access to beach. Plenty of food nearby, lots of good choices. Was a quick <25 min drive to areas like La Jolla and Coronado.

Wow what an amazing find this place was! This was the second part of our family vacation and we were looking for something close enough to the beach we didn’t have to drive and fight for parking. We were on the 3rd floor and had stunning views of the ocean, had our own balcony and the room was perfect! Such cute decor and so clean. The bed was comfy which is super important to me. The breakfast buffet was great! They actually had bacon…. For those of us who do not eat sausage this was a big win! The staff was very friendly. Very close to everything. Walking distance to shops and food. The pool is heated and they also have a nice hot tub. If you’re staying in the area you must try this place….. you won’t regret it!

The room was very clean and right next to the beach. Room toiletry is was minimal. Unfortunately, there was vacuum cleaner noise before 9AM in the morning (Sunday).

Loved our stay at Ocean Park Inn in Pacific Beach. Our beach-themed room was clean and roomy and located on the ground level. We had a nice patio with views of the boardwalk and the ocean. I would suggest requesting a 3rd (top) floor room to avoid noise from upstairs neighbors since we had a bad experience with the lady directly above us who started walking/stomping around her room in high heels. This happened all 4 mornings of our stay. Other than a noisy upstairs neighbor, we loved our room, the comfy bed, the free morning breakfast, the hot tub and the ocean front location!

The hotel was clean, nice staff, continental breakfast and a parking garage that was safe. There was a private outdoor area to sit in outside the room also, looking at the pool. The hotel is on the boardwalk, which made it nice to walk our service dog.

Beautiful, comfortable, and convenient! One of the laundry washers was broken. Parking is tight and unauthorized vehicles were in or intruding on ADA spaces, making them unusable. The Manager was responsive and kind when we asked for help to resolve any issues. Most of the staff were really helpful and courteous, too.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The access to the parking garage is very close to the alley and is obstructed when someone is checking in but I see little that can be done about that.

If you are considering staying here - DO IT! The ocean view room is absolutely worth every red cent. I literally had my door open day and night. Despite the clubs the loudest noise I heard was the ocean waves crashing. While the views were breath taking - from watching surfers, the unique sunset and just staring at the ocean - nothing beats the once in a lifetime sighting of dolphins from my balcony! The cherry on top - very friendly staff and clean rooms. Sure there are homeless people around, yes there are clubs whose music travels and yes the breakfast is sub par BUT the views, the staff and the ocean air supersedes all of that. I reluctantly left because silly me only booked 3 days but I will most definitely be back.

Had a wonderful experience at this beach front hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The entire property, especially my room was very clean and welcoming. Got to enjoy the pool area which had everything needed to relax and enjoy the ocean view. Can't beat the location with close proximity to everything you might want to enjoy on Mission Beach. There seemed to be plenty of underground parking which could be too tight for a long vehicle. Would definitely recommend this property as a great value compared to others I stayed at in the area.

Everything about this property was outstanding, room and furnishings were clean and spacious, did not have much interaction with the staff, but the little we did was just fine

Clean room, the staff was great. We had a small view. Our room was on a corner in the alley, and the noise level was loud. I feel like the garbage truck came every day. Lol I just wish they had more beach chairs to use daily.

Ocean front, pay parking at this place was very convenient. I would pay again if I stay there in the future. Our room was clean, updated, and modern. Perfect beach room. Breakfast included in our stay was nice. I wish they had more fresh fruits options (such as Banana, oranges). I would definitely stay this Inn if I have a chance!

I was not able to get the beach front room I hoped for but I was in two different rooms and both had a view. The location is walking distance to grocery store and restaurants. I initially had a room directly next to a club with loud music at night. They readily moved me to an inside room that was quiet and just as cute and comfortable as the other one. Over all a great place to stay. I would book again.

Amazing, relaxing, fun

We had a fantastic time at OPI, the staff was friendly and helpful! the views from their ocean front rooms are just spectacular!! There are plenty of restaurants and a CVS walking distance away. We would love to go there again!!!

We really enjoyed our stay! It’s in a great area for all the shops, beach and restaurants. Breakfast was included which was nice. They upgraded our room to a beach view which was AWESOME. The staff were very nice and the room was big and comfortable. We really enjoyed it and would stay here again.

Gem of a place! Clean, rooms are big, restaurants close, beach right out your door. What else can you ask for?! If I had to pick something I would say the coffee downstairs is yucky and they only have powdered creamer.

We were put in the back of the building in the alley - even though I had booked a Ocean View (through a third party) - but instead we looked at the roof top of a run down green building. We were woke up every morning around 5am to the garbage trucks dumping bottles due to the bars. People were walking through the alley at 230-300 loud and obnoxious. If you are going to put someone in the alley they shouldn't have to pay as much as we did.

Our hotel stay was a fantastic experience. Spotless, great decor, the staff is fabulous. Very accommodating. Location is adjacent to the beach and boardwalk. Definitely recommend this hotel!

I asked for a room that will not face a wall since I am claustrophobic. The receptionist mage a big deal about giving larger room for me to accommodate but it was the worst room I ever had. It was facing a neighbor room right across with no privacy. Only choice was to have the window shade down always. Had to go down again to switch room. Other than that, I like the stay. Used the hotel mostly to sleep and to eat breakfast. Was out most of time. Location was good.

Great access to beach, pier, coffee, and resteraunts. Cleaning service missed one day of cleaning room. But otherwise great place and breakfast at the Inn was great.

Beautiful rooms with fabulous location

This was such a convenient stay for our little family. We have four children under 12 and absolutely loved the access to the beach! Everything had a cute beach theme and our check in experience was great. They were very helpful when we needed anything, and we loved walking to dinner every night with so many nearby options!

We absolutely loved this hotel! We stayed in an oceanfront first floor where we could walk right out onto the walkway along the ocean or just sit outside and soak up the sun and people watch! It was such a great location, the staff was excellent and the views of the beach were beautiful!

I thought the facility was very good. The pool & hot tub were dirty/cloudy by sunset but staff cleaned everything by 9:00 am!

Our family stay at Ocean Park Inn was wonderful. The building and rooms were modern, clean, and helped the whole beach vibe. Staff were also helpful and kind. Breakfast was fine and other food options were nearby including a grocery store. We would love to stay here again.

We loved seeing the beach outside our door everyday also we walked everywhere. We didnt need our car...and this was with our 18 month and our 7 yr old .

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this hotel. We were blessed to have an ocean view room. This hotel has parking and walking distance to restaurants and coffee shop to have a gourmet cup of coffee. I would highly recommend this hotel. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

We love the hotel and the location. This is our second year staying at the ocean park inn. The hotel is on the boardwalk seconds to the beach. The restaurants are great and the shops are within walking distance from our hotel. The amenities are great and the complimentary breakfast is good too! You will not be disappointed with your stay! The rooms are also a delight with balconies and some rooms overlook the beach for those who enjoy an upgrade, but at a cost! The staff is fantastic and always willing to assist their customers with a smile.

Busy weekends in the summer you should have someone parking the cars so people can get into a spot! I have a compact car but the two people either side don’t Anyway that’s it. Everything else was wonderful

Tremendous. Staff knows it all re dining and transportation and aim to please. Greatest beach in USA footsteps away. Rooms are comfortable, charming and check every box. TV is big and a pleasure. Parking costly but easy otherwise. I wish I was still there.

It was a great location

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Ocean Park Inn. (Funny story, I used to stay here with my mother on our family vacations as a child!) Our room was fantastic; clean, spacious and 100% worth every penny. The breakfast was fresh every morning with plenty of selections, the pool and hot tub were well cared for and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. Our 5 year old loved the pool and the short walk to the beach was one of the main reasons I chose to come back to OPI! Thank you for making our family vacation a 10/10, we’ll see you next summer for sure!

To quote Ed Sheeran - “The club is not the place to find a lover, the bar is where I go”. This place and the room we had was loud. The bars at night or the garbage truck emptying the trash in the morning. The later it gets the louder it gets. When the hotel offers a complimentary set of ear plugs that should have been my warning. The room was clean, and the staff helpful, but the overall scene was not our cup of tea.

The staff is friendly, lots to do in and around property. Love that the beach is right outside property. Would definitely stay again.

San Diego is my happy place, and this place is the perfect place fits the vibe! The rooms are modern and updated and the hotel is brightly colored and inviting, and don’t get me started on the staff! They were the most friendly, helpful, and informative staff I’ve ever encountered. Not to mention they serve drinks at the front desk! 10/10 if you’re looking for a place directly on the beach, chill vibe, but still want to be a step away from the action.

Clean and direct access to the beach. Rooms are super cute and comfortable! Safe, secure parking. Could not be nicer and staff is lovely. This is PB so don’t expect a quiet getaway but it’s fun and the property itself is quiet.

The hotel is nice overall. You can’t beat the location in Pacific Beach, it’s near everything. My feedback would be for the hotel to leave water out for guests. We stayed at some other hotels in San Diego and it was nice that they’d leave complimentary iced water out. Not sure why they’re charging for water bottles in the room either. Additionally, the front desk staff was not friendly. The cleaning staff was great though.

OPI overall needs cleaning & updating. Get rid of soap/shampoo body wash dispensers- don’t work! So annoying- small bar soap would be better. Breakfast inedible! For hotel price, poor value.

It was a beautiful location, very close to a large supermarket and lots of restaurants. The desk folks were friendly and helpful and it was a great place to stay.

The rooms were renovated since Covid 2020 and are now much nicer with vibrant colors and good lighting. The rooms used to be darker/nice improvements. Hotel location is right on the beach boardwalk. Not a super quiet spot if you crave that, but an awesome spot for sun and fun. Will definitely stay there again!!!

Really nice hotel, right in the happening area of Pacific Beach. It is right next to the Firehouse (a big club with EDM), which was paled because it was spring break and St, Paddy’s Day weekend. The music really could not be head from our room. The rooms, decor and location were great. Would definitely come again!

The room was clean, comfortable, and recently updated, with a beachy vibe that made the whole experience feel relaxing and fun. The staff was super friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out, and they made sure everything went smoothly. The pool and hot tub area was a great spot to unwind after a day at the beach, and I appreciated the little details like complimentary breakfast and beach towels. Floors needed to be cleaned in the room they were sandy and sticky. Carpets in hall needed deep cleaning also. Bed was comfy. Need to step up coffee game. No creamer ….
