Great job

We had breakfast there on May 23. I want to give a huge compliment to your kitchen team. They are the nicest hardest working people I have ever seen. You have a very caring staff working with you.
- 5/5
Our stay was great from check-in to check-out. Staff was very friendly and helpful.Breakfast was good- lots of choices. Rooms were a little dated but very clean and comfortable. The only complaint I have is that the pickleball court lines need to be repainted correctly and a new net is needed.
- 3/5
Breakfast was reeally overcrowded.
- 4/5
Good for short business travel.
- 3/5
Staff was attentive and nice. I appreciated the pool and kitchenette, although no time to use them. Big rooms. Breakfast had a good assortment. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Clever idea to have the TV pivot to both living and bedroom. Decor was dated and dark. Update the wood tone. Shower head offered no water pressure. Air conditioning room door rattled and fans came on with loudness every 1.5 hours interrupting my ability to sleep. I had to rurn it off the next night. The area has very few options for entertainment, only 2 dining options in walking distance and no stores. About 40 minutes to Petco Park, downtown and airport added around $230 to our stay in Uber costs. The Treehouse Cafe was impressive- fantastic food and service! Gravity Bar was good too.The Residence Inn and convention building need to negotiate a gate to pass through to each site using a hotel access card. It's a long walk in heels.
- 2.5/5
Our bathroom was dirty, the AC was leaking causing the carpet to be constantly wet, the sleeper couch was super squeaky, plates, cups, and silverware we dirty in the room.
- 1/5
No food options near the hotel that are open past 6 pm. Tv did not work so I had to move rooms after I already unpacked and late in the evening. Hotel accommodations are expensive for what you get.
- 5/5
Good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, clean and maintained, good value and convenient location.
- 1/5
halls and room smelled. room next to us had over 10 people come in and out. Room was loud and we couldn’t sleep
- 2/5
Room smells like sweat, Staff good, Wi-fi - Good - Breakfast excellent
- 5/5
The breakfast was really great. Everything seemed fresh, breakfast area was clean, staff was attentive and asked if you needed anything or how the day was. The room was excellent, very clean and well stocked with everything you could need!

Excellent 👌👍
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay at the Residence Inn. The stay was welcoming upon my arrival and departure. Overall, the hotel was clean and well maintained. The hotel over a great breakfast selection. I definitely recommend this hotel because of the quiet and serene setting.
- 1/5
Disappointed in the accommodations for the cost. very out dated. Do not rely on the pull out couch as a bed for your party. The springs are coming through the mattress and are painful and bedding is pilled, stained, crusty and seem about 20-30 years old. Could see that it may be a functional place to stay for those in need of monthly/extended stays for work in the industrial/business area in which it resides (if a discount), but do not recommend it for vacation.
- 5/5
Clean amenities, continental breakfast, friendly staff. Quiet area and just about 20 min or so to most places to visit.
- 5/5
THE BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD!!
- 5/5
Clean room and good brekkie
- 4/5
Very large and comfortable room, fridge and microwave, pretty good breakfast, not too far from the coast and La Jolla (8-10 miles). The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have the kitchenette. We were not told (or we didn't notice) that there's a parking fee ($20 a day as I recall), which, considering that it's on the fringes of the city means it would be hard to get there without a car. Had we known would probably have booked somewhere else with free parking. However, after our protestations, the staff (who were generally pleasant) allowed us to waive the parking fee.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast setup had options for everyone. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5

Clean room, friendly and helpful staff, nice facilities, quiet environment.
- 5/5
Room was very nice. the breakfast was good with many options and the staff kept the trays full with hot food. check in and out was very easy.
- 2/5
Room and amenities were not great. Smelly hallways and jad issues with the light and shower that were not addressed. Breakfast was mediocre. Not a great spot.
- 5/5
Room was clean and the staff are wonderful
- 5/5
The breakfast was amazing
- 4.5/5
I enjoyed the home feeling it was like being at home at home away from home
- 4.5/5
The bed was a bit smaller than expected
- 5/5
Israel is the best breakfast attendant I've ever met! He really made am impression on me in 2023. I was so happy to still see him there this year. Carol was lovely too.
- 5/5
Great service!
- 4.5/5
Residence in is a great concept for an extended stay. All of the staff were competent and friendly. But the kitchen staff (chef and woman cleaning and replenishing food) were exceptional! Always welcoming and genuinely friendly 1. Really did not appreciate having a $20/day parking fee. Not in this part of town. 2. Somehow our reservation got mixed up (I think they reversed my first and last name) was hard to find 3. It was incredibly hard to call the hotel directly before our arrival. When I tried to call the hotel directly, to confirm my reservation, I kept getting routed to a phone center inn India? I tried to ask questions and could not understand or get answers (partly because of the mix-up in my reservation)
- 3/5
Staff was so nice! Room wasn’t clean, microwave top vent kept falling out, it was detached, and we had to get the hot tub turned on, which they did right away. Mostly the hotel looked rundown.
- 5/5
The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The grounds are well kept. Nice pool and hot tub. Breakfast was very good. Everything was fresh and usually consisted of scrambled eggs (Real eggs!!), bacon or sausage, potatoes, waffles, oatmeal, fruit, cereal, breed, bagels, English muffins, juice, coffee. Always well stocked, nice clean dinning area The only negative I had was the HVAC equipment is located inside a closet in the bedroom. Even when the AC in not running the HVAC equipment emits are low volume rumble 24/7. I'm sensitive to these types of sounds so I always heard it. Conversely, the sound didn't bother my spouse. Defenitely would stay there again.
- 2.5/5
The air purifier was greatly appreciated! The kitchen and refrigerator were well-maintained. Having a dishwasher, a full-size refrigerator, and a stove was very convenient. Our sleep was interrupted at 3 AM by several people talking very loudly on the basketball court. Your system failed to acknowledge me as a Bonvoy member. It would have been better to have a light in the bathroom without the vent automatically on.
- 1/5
Our heater wasn't working properly we called the hotel they brought a tech over but he couldn't fix it and we were checking out the next day 😕
- 0.5/5
Nothing, not staying there again Everything, old, elevator didn’t even work. Kept my deposit for ever. I asked if I could pay with cash and they said I could, then told me I couldn’t. Gave me one deposit amount, then made up other deposit amounts to try to get me to pay more.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable
- 3.5/5
The staff, the complimentary breakfast was really good and the staff was very helpful and kind. The room wasn't fully equipped with the complimentary utensils (dish soap) and the coffee was not restaffed during our stay. Parking in the facility is quite expensive.
- 1.5/5
Breakfast staff was very nice and friendly! The room was ran down and in poor condition.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 2/5
The TV in the living room and bedroom did not work. The living room TV had a busted screen from the bottom left corner to the top right corner. The sound on the TV in the bedroom was faulty and kept going in and out. The kitchen sink was dirty. It had sticky stuff all over the handles. There was mold in the shower and the microwave was not wiped down and had food on the top inside of the microwave.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
All was good
- 4/5
One woman staff at the Front desk on 10/27 was dismissive without asking if I had any other questions.
- 4/5
It was quiet and the building was secured. There were no stores nearby. And no free parking.
- 3/5
The hotel was Ok..
- 5/5
Clean room..n friendly staff
- 3.5/5
Well lit, safe, clean and very good staff. Breakfast was fresh and food was plentiful. Toilet didn’t work well (we told staff and they came and fixed it). The breakfast area was small. The exercise room was very small with no fan.
- 2/5
Old room, shower broken, not clean, old towel
- 1/5
Lots of bugs too many bugs flying and crawling need pesticides. Stay was terrible slapping bugs all night.
- 4/5
We enjoyed the setup of the room. It was a great size and had everything we needed. All staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good and offered a great selection. We noticed was that some furniture was very worn and peeling. The refrigerator was dented in several spots on the outside. This gave the room a less clean look although it was clean. Otherwise it was a great stay. We would return again.
- 5/5
I love it!
- 5/5
Awesome ! i love you guys.
- 3.5/5
I’ve been to this property before and this time I loved the pool and the rec area The staff that called me with the noise complaint were rude. I had a baby and 3 kids I was trying to put to sleep around 9 and got a call that the people below said we were too loud. In order to reduce negative interactions I believe the best thing is to put families as close to the bottom floor as possible
- 2/5
Very outdated property. In need of major upgrades. Our room felt dirty and had dirty carpet smell. The refrigerator was broken and making loud noise all night. The bed was worn out. Went to the pool, I had to use the skimmer to clean the leaves out of the water. Will not return unless it’s renovated.

- 5/5
All was great
- 5/5
Great affordable property. Older property, but they clean it well. Would stay again!
- 4/5
Do not agree with the parking fee of $20 a night. Saw a lot of people parking on street.
- 5/5
I absolutely love Bonna at the front desk. Her customer service is out of this world. I always book this hotel because it's convenient to to get to the activities I have planned. I love it here and the staff keep it clean. Please guys I pray that you keep up the good work so that others may feel the same way I do and make this their go to spot for years to come.
- 3/5
Location is in a nice place but there's a need to drive to a restaurant. Also the breakfast only serves hard boiled eggs... yuk!
- 4/5
Staff Cathy was very hospitable and accommodating. Hotel is a bit Old but rooms are spacious. Location is a little bit odd in between factories , offices and a big Parking building.
- 5/5
Great hotel to stay in. Nice and peaceful. Basketball court helps out with kids.
- 5/5
Property was quiet, room was comfortable and close enough to shopping and dining.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable It was not convenient to stores or restaurants.
- 4/5
Room size was good for 3 of us. It was clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was average. The downside was housekeeping was not everyday, only 2 times a week. We stayed for 2 nights when housekeeping was not available during our entire stay. However, when we requested for new towels, the staff responded very quickly.
- 4/5
Okay
- 0.5/5
They had no record of my booking.com reservation and were sold out so I could not stay there. I had to go to another hotel. They tried calling booking.com but the agent hung up on them.
- 3/5
The staff at the front desk were rude. I requested an early check-in was told they would call whenthe room was ready. I never received a call as to whether they would accommodate my request. I had put my request 2 weeks prior to my arrival. I understand a request is not a guarantee, but a courtesy call would have been nice. The gentleman that checked us in was very professional and kind, but the two female clerks I felt were rude.
- 1/5
Stayed in two rooms during my stay because the first room was filthy. Had little kids walking around and their feet were black from dirt. There was also mold in the shower. They had us moved, only to a room that also had mold in the shower. Called back later to let them and they said engineering came by and confirmed it wasn’t mold, but it very clearly was. Hotel rate was fair, but I’ll probably spend more elsewhere and not have to worry about where I shower.
- 5/5
Pool was good.
- 5/5
Loved it here
- 4/5
Loved the location , amenities, 2bed/2bath, fireplace, kitchen, living room , staff interaction, complementary breakfast, pool, basketball court. Great for families Room cleaning was only every two days and staff did not thoroughly clean. They only emptied trash and replaced towels. Fresh bedding not provided and bed was not made, staff just threw old covers back. A fair amount of dust on furniture, bath tub chipping. Dining chairs old and scratched up.
- 4.5/5
It was conveniently located close to everything with a vehicle. The staff was TREMENDOUS! I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all staff. Cathy was very kind. Kitchen staff so pleasant to see each day! Maintenance and housekeeping staff members were so pleasant. I would return again, wonderful stay for my family. Daily parking costs.
- 5/5
We stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott San Diego Sorrento Mesa/Sorrento Valley from July 4th to July 7th in a one-bedroom suite with a pull-out sofa. The room was very comfortable, and both the front desk staff and housekeeping were incredibly sweet and accommodating. For the price we paid, the value was excellent—I highly recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay here again.
- 5/5
Loved the location and that the pool is heated with a jacuzzi and basketball court!
- 5/5
4th July celebration
- 5/5
From the check in to the breakfast to the check out I received the most amazing customer service. I come to this location multiple times a year and the service is always awesome. Keep doing what you're doing.
- 1/5
Horrible
- 4/5
Attractive grounds.
- 1/5
Free breakfast was poor quality and had limited options. Holiday Inn is much better than this Morriott.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
The front counter staff are very pleasant and cheerful specially Kathy.
- 5/5
Breakfast and cleanliness
- 5/5
Nice, quiet, comfortable
- 5/5
Staff are super helpful and friendly
- 3/5
Fair amount of noise from basketball court right outside my window as I tried to sleep. Missing significant number of food items, plates and bowls for free breakfast, resulting in my simply having a cup of coffee and nothing else
- 2/5
Quality of breakfast was very poor!
- 4/5
ok
- 3/5
I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks and had a couple of issues. The bathroom sink was clogged and I had to request a plumber to come and fix it. It took him an hour but the issue was resolved. Additionally, there were several small flies in the room. I would find them dead on the study table and bed, and the cleaners would leave them there. The cleaners did a very poor job in cleaning the room and only vacuumed once upon request during my 2 week stay. There were very limited breakfast options for vegetarians. Lastly, after I checked out, I saw a charge of $600 and $300 on my credit card although I never got any room service nor purchased much from their market place. I had laundry done twice and was charged $20 everyday for parking my vehicle, but that still should not result in a $900 charge. I had an ok stay at this hotel and wouldn’t recommend it for the price they charge. I paid around $2600 for my stay, and on top of that was charged an extra $900.
- 3/5
Furniture seemed clean but super out dated and made the room feel dark
- 4/5
The place was very clean throughout, and the included breakfast was a nice touch to start the day. I especially appreciated that the hotel is dog-friendly, which made our trip that much easier. While the décor is a bit outdated, everything was well-maintained and cozy. Overall, it was a great stay and I’d definitely come back. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a clean, accommodating, and pet-friendly place to stay.
- 5/5
We booked a two-bedroom suite. The room is big enough for six people, and the kitchen is clean and convenient for a family. The staff are very friendly.
- 4/5
Very quiet
- 5/5
Wonderful staff!
- 5/5
Really wonderful two-bedroom suite, was perfect arrangement for my family while on our vacation. Building was old but maintained satisfactorily. The lack of daily housekeeping was not ideal, and when they did come in every other day, the floors were not vacuumed - only the beds were made and towels refreshed.
- 5/5
Lobby staff was so friendly!
- 5/5
Great service. Comfortable room. Loved the sitting area. We will go back.
- 4/5
Comfortable, clean and staff are very pleasant and responsive
- 5/5
The stay was relaxing, and quiet
- 4/5
Good experience with no high expectations. It does feel outdated with the hallway and inside the room. It definitely needs renovation. The sofa bed is not comfortable at all. Recommend getting 2 beds instead. It’s a clean property. The breakfast is subpar but it’s free. Probably wouldn’t stay again.
- 5/5
The staff throughout the hotel (front desk, cleaning staff, breakfast crew), were all consistently friendly and helpful!!
- 4/5
Hotel very comfortable, but there were no hand lotion like most hotels. Coffee maker just a very cheap one with weak coffee. Location was too far from dining options nearby. In very high tech business park.
- 5/5
Breakfast was superb. Weight room and pool. For kitchen, fully stocked with dishes and cooking pans, it had a fridge, a couch, and my favorite shampoo and conditioner in the shower. highly recommend this for any business, adventure, or pleasure, The price was affordable, but the customer service is why I would come back.
- 5/5
The place is located walkable to the company I work for. The kitchen is also very nice with everything needed for a simple cooking.
- 5/5
We stayed in the two bed/bath rooms, and it was perfect for our family of four with two teenagers! The breakfast was great. The staff was accommodating and welcoming. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay. The breakfast room lady was super!
- 4/5
Love the friendly staff and the cleanliness of the property and rooms. Parking fees were expensive ($20/day) and was not disclosed on the website.
- 2/5
Worst breakfast offerings I've had in years. Overcrowded eating room. Major construction on adjacent property so noise, dust, and driving were problems. Also had horrible guests over my head which I realize was not the hotel's fault. Maids use door latch to catch door while cleaning so they can frequently access their carts. Doors slam into those latches every morning. Also very isolated location.
- 5/5
Excellent property, breakfast and staff service.
- 4/5
Great for the value.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff from front desk, to buffet staff to house cleaning.
- 5/5
Very friendly and helpful staffs
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay and the staff was friendly and accommodating
- 5/5
Wonderful stay! Great breakfast, friendly staff, quiet and clean
- 5/5
We love it here! It will be our go-to place every time we visit San Diego. Thank you for making us feel at home. The first time we visited last year was when our baby was 3 months old. She just turned one and loved crawling and pulling herself to stand up and take steps using the furniture. We love making memories here!
- 5/5
The studio room was great. Nicely equipped kitchen with stovetop and full size refrigerator. Friendly staff that provides everything you need, breakfast was wonderful, fun sport court with basketball and pickle ball.
- 3/5
It was ok . The tub and bathroom sinks wouldnt drain so that was kinda gross.
- 5/5
Words cannot express my appreciation! Have a great holiday season
- 5/5
$16/day charge for parking
- 3/5
Got to the room, and the sing table had not been cleaned, I whipped me finger across it and felt dirt on it, my finger had stuff in it. One of the ceiling lights in the room had its base coming off from the ceiling so we could see the hole.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay.
- 3/5
Looking it’s age - food was inedible- housekeeping only did partial cleanup
- 5/5
Parking available means optional $16 parking fee per night, which is a common charge from hotels in this area, but it’s not clearly stated up front.
- 5/5
room was comfortable and quite.
- 4/5
Friendly staff and quiet surroundings.
- 5/5
Parking fee is expensive.
- 5/5
Staff was really friendly.
- 1/5
The front desk lady was really rude and unprofessional. Our room was just by the busy street and very noisy. Our three day stay was like a nightmare. I would give 0 star if I could.
- 5/5
Very quiet location.
- 5/5
Room is very big with kitchen.
- 1/5
Empty hotel and they place me adjacent to loud construction.
- 5/5
The staff immediately resolved any issues and were helpful with directions and information. The room was comfortable and clean. The pool and hot tub were also clean. I liked the key required doors on everything- the pool, access to the interior and to the clothes washer room. Could use a air fryer in the room ☺️ And my husband thought the parking stalls needed to be a few inches wider - especially since we paid nightly parking.
- 4/5
A lot of construction going on immediately all around the hotel
- 5/5
The suite was really clean & spacious. My kids enjoyed having their own room. The staff was ready nice & understanding from the beginning, very helpful.
- 5/5
Amazing by the definition of the word from front desk to all hospitality workers there. Loved being grated by all staff even engineers with a good morning/afternoon.
- 5/5
Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Room was excellent with everything. Plus many fun activities and good food places close by.
- 4/5
I like the speciation two bed rooms suite with full kitchen. It was very important for family with 5 members. My kids loved it. The only issue we had was the floor was too dirty that we had to put shoes all the time.
- 4/5
Wish breakfast had more options. Nice quiet place to stay. Friendly staff. Overall good experience
- 5/5
I would go there again.
- 5/5
Very average hotel with a crowded feel. It's an OK place that's out of the way if one prefers that.
- 4/5
The room i booked was perfect for my family. It allowed me to cook for my family since my husband is on a diet restriction. There was plenty of space for my teenage children to sleep. In addition all the location we wanted to visit were only 15-20 minutes drive, which is not too bad since the I-805 was newrby. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay at this place again if we are in San Dieog area.
- 2/5
There was construction right next to the hotel. Noise started as early as 6am. The carpet was wet from shampoo which made the floor sticky. The bathroom light had a malfunctioning motion sensor. When you are doing your business, the light will go off. The gym was dirty and unkept. Overall, i would not revisit not recommend this place to any of my friends or family.
- 5/5
As always, Residence Inn didn't disappoint. Easy check in and out process, good coffee and decent breakfast options. Well equipped quiet rooms. Only minus is that they charge for parking which i think nowadays should juat be included in the rate...but hey, its California, so, it is what it is.
- 5/5
The Residence Inn has so many amenities that add to my comfortability while away from home.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
Great place, except o wish it was closer to food areas that were walkable
- 3/5
It was okay.. not like the pictures
- 3/5
Average at best
- 5/5
Everything was great. Except for a traveler spending just shy of $3,000.00 for six nights, should not be made to pay for parking. Exceptions to that rule should apply based on length of stay. California already nickels and dimes you to begin with… why add salt to the wound?
- 5/5
Clean. Comfortable. Good amount of space.
- 5/5
Located within an industrial area, however, it was both clean and quiet and there was sufficient shopping and dining within walking distance. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly.
- 5/5
Super cozy and welcoming environment! Rooms and buildings were extremely clean and staff was super friendly. Plenty of amenities in rooms, nice swivel tv with plenty of streaming options, very well stocked kitchen, and varied breakfast options. Very pleasant stay!
