Holiday Inn Express and Suites Fisherman's Wharf by IHG

Great location near the Wharf.

Parking was $60 overnight which was not advertised. Additionally there is an additional $38 "resort fee" on top of the nightly stay upon arrival. Got stuck in the elevator for 10 minutes. Let staff know and they took the resort fee off our bill. Good location, and clean otherwise.

These were helpful services - valet, quick check-ins, 24/7 fresh brew to order coffee machines, large lobby sitting area, safe neighborhood and convenient location, clean and staff was very helpful. Breakfast was typical but one thing to improve not a killer was to have either have sausage or bacon - not chicken Patties. But I would stay here again and recommend this place.

Staff was super nice but they need to upgrade their rooms a bit. Shower curtain was tattered and had stains. Sheets had small holes and stains on comforter.

Its a good location. 2 blocks from Fishermans warf. 5 minutes walk to Trader Joe's. Nice rooms. Ours was on the street side so not totally quiet. Really nice staff and good breakfast. Close to the bus stations. A good stay.

While visiting San Francisco we needed a place that was walking distance to tourist attractions and safe to leave our rental vehicle. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Fisherman Wharf by IHG was the perfect place because of its proximity to Pier 39, delicious breakfast, clean rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast selections was the same the entire 3 days that we stayed. The selection of cable channels was limited. The noise from the adjacent room was audible almost the entire night/day.

This was our first time at a Holiday Inn Express, It was good for our family. Perfect location, close to all the sights and Fisherman’s Wharf just an 8 minute walk. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean. We will definitely try a Holiday Inn Express and IHG hotels again!

Close to the cruise port. Also, the hotel provides a free breakfast. We heard loud noises from street traffic until 9:30 in the evening. Just around the block seems to be the main drag for revving, blasting loud music and showing off your car.

Small complaint their tubs have a weird or old style Flip It Stopper which is a toggle style bathtub drain plug that opens and closes with a simple nudge of a toe or finger. The problem is literally the pressure of the water would turn the stopper closed so the tub constantly fills up with water as you shower.

I really enjoyed our stay here. Very close to Fisherman's Wharf.. within walking distance. Parking is only valet and it's $65 which is a bummer but it is what it is. Breakfast is good but even right at 630am it was crowded. Our room was 268 and the view was weird because there was a random empty concrete view of nothing...like no furniture nothing. It looks like they could possibly put a pool there but nope ...just concrete.a lot of action going on at this hotel. People in and out and sitting in the lobby area but our room and floor was quiet for the most part. I would stay here again

The place was a 9 min walk pier 39, where the sea lions were when we had dinner and walked to see them after ! Family friendly ! The front desk was so nice and the hot chocolate station in the evening was a great way to wind down from the day adventuring ! Breakfast was good in the AM before we headed out ! Def would stay again !

The hours of the hotel breakfast were very convenient, and the food was really good! The service from staff was 10/10. The only complaint that I had was that there was a rattling noise in my room. I think from the AC unit? It would shake randomly throughout the evening.

We rode a motorcycle and the location was very good, no major hills to deal with in traffic and easy to get to from the CA1. We paid for parking through Expedia, highly recommend that as it was much less than the $65 at the hotel and they let me park the bike myself, which was the only way I would have done it. The hotel and the room was very clean! The only surprise was that there are very few rooms with view windows, like 5%, but that was not a deal breaker as the rest of the place was very nice. Breakfast was good, but I have had more options at other Holiday Inn Express'. Over all it was a very good stay, I like Holiday Inn Express for their consistency in cleanliness and quality. I highly recommend.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Even though I forgot to ask that the rooms not be cleaned with scented products…neither room smelled of anything scented (we both have fragrance allergies). The front desk gentleman was pleasant and efficient, as was the gentleman when we checked out. Loved the 24 hour coffee/tea station. Valet was great. We were not able to enjoy the breakfast buffet due to our schedule…maybe next time!

It is in a great location to Fisherman's Wharf, just 1 block up. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. $65 per day for parking was the downside. But I guess that is normal for SF. The "hot" breakfast was on the cold temperature side. But, I would stay there again.

Flattest pillows and very uncomfortable hard as a board mattress. For this price point I would expect fluffy pillows and a great mattress and fabulous linens. Not what you get though. Breakfast was not edible. Watery eggs tht were obviously powdered. Sausage that was steamed/watery. Really gross. Didn’t eat. Don’t charge me for a continental breakfast and have it be positively disgusting. Just charge less and I will go get food elsewhere or make the food not disgusting. Why am I paying but can’t eat it.

Reserved standard Queen room with 2 Queen beds. The room I got had 2 double beds (full size) which are smaller than queen. Asked the front desk about it and they insisted the beds were queen size but they definitely were not as my feet were hanging off the end, and the width was very tight for 2 people. Other than that, the room was clean. Water pressure in shower very weak. No view outside whatsoever, just a tiny internal courtyard surrounded by walls. Breakfast was decent but not great. Valet parking was nice. Good enough overall, just wish I got the room that I paid for and that the staff would be honest about bed sizes.

Room was very clean, it was cleaned daily and the ladies that did it were amazing. Front desk was exceptional with helpful tips for exploring the city. Parking on-site was convenient. Breakfast was basic, but it worked for our family with kids. Hotel was in a great area to explore the city.

We loved everything about this hotel. The location was great, Jeff and Steve at reception were so helpful, the room was clean. The breakfast choices were amazing! The one thing I’ll mention is the rooms on the back of the hotel can be pretty loud as the trolley runs right by it. But that was minor compared to how great everything else was.

Nothing was extraordinary but I didn’t expect that either. Even though it was included in the cost, I was disappointed in the breakfast and also, just in my opinion, the bed and pillows were hard and uncomfortable. Would I stay here again? No. I’d rather pay more $ for more quality.

Front desk was super helpful. The smile as they handed me the mini toothpaste after my flight when I asked. The breakfast reminder which I ate 2 out of 3 days. The properly is super close to the wharf. Rooms clean. Staff very nice.

The bathroom sink was surprisingly small—uncharacteristic for a Holiday Inn.

Everyone was delightful and helpful except someone forgot to order our cab. They resolved it on time. Towels are ready for replacement but very clean. The concierge stuff was phenomenal and patient.

The hotel itself was extremely clean & staff was courteous. Breakfast was generous in both options and volume. Plenty to go around for all even though it was quite busy. They offer ice water, coffee & tea during non breakfast hours as well which was a perk we enjoyed while heading out for walks. We had two small dogs with us and a decent patch of grass is just one block up, quick convenient walk for potty breaks. Pillow quality was the only thing I might complain about but I find most hotel pillows lacking. We marked this spot as a new favorite and look forward to our next visit.

The lobby and breakfast area was spotless! Check-in was a breeze thanks to the attentive desk clerks. Our room was clean as well…and the beds were FANTASTICALLY comfortable with just the right amount of pillows! Susan, the staff at breakfast, was amazing! So friendly and helpful…she immediately found me a bandaid when she learned I had cut my finger (on my tweezers) …such a nice person! We will definitely be back soon!

Another chair in a room that can accomodate 2 people should be a must. It's hard to move around the room because it's small and having only one chair makes it much more difficult.

The Hotel itself was pretty good. The staff was friendly and helpful. And the location was great. But, I was not pleased to find the extra $25.49 "Guest Amenity Fee" tacked onto my bill for each night I stayed. I prepaid for the room a month in advance through Expedia. I was not pleased at all to find out that I had to pay an extra $127.45 on top of the amount I had already paid for 5 nights. I'm still trying to figure out what exactly the Guest Amenity's were. I stayed in a standard room, didn't order any room service, and had the do not disturb sign on the door so that room service wouldn't have to bother with cleaning the room. So what was the extra $25.49 for exactly? I asked at the desk and didn't get a clear answer.

The room was clean and staff were friendly and super helpful. We requested late check out at the last minute and they didn’t have any issues. Breakfast was okay with a variety of selection with sausage patty, eggs, bagels, oatmeal, muffin & cinnamon roll (both kind of dry), and juice was water down. We like the open dinning area by the lobby area. You can order take out and just eat here as an option. Parking was $65/night for valet or find an open spot park on the street. Valet is the only option. Great location especially a short walk to Pier 39. We enjoyed our stay.

The staff and room were good. The breakfast was horrible. The omelet, turkey sausage and potatoes were cold and tasteless. Even with adding hot sauce and ketchup it didn't help. I've stayed at other Holiday Inn Express and lest the food was hot.

Front desk was kind enough to let us check in early. Parking is a nightmare and your only option is to find street parking, paid parking or the hotel valet which cost $75. Room was small but clean.

We booked a holiday trip for the family. This is a prime location for fisherman‘s wharf and close to everything. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to say hello and make sure you’re stay as enjoyable.

I want to give a great review but unfortunately the breakfast is always the same everyday. It is really good to stay in the hotel coz the staff are so nice and helpful . The room is clean everyday and you have unlimited coffee, tea and hot water, even ice if you need it. Thanks so much for a great experience. Kuddos to all

The room was clean. Amenities such as breakfast provided good value. The location was conducive to walk to Pier 39, the wharf, Ghirardelli’s as well. It was close to grocery stores and many eating places to choose from.

Overall good place to stay. Had the Expedia parking credit but was a bit of an issue getting the benefit for the two night stay but ultimately front desk at check out resolved it. Great area to stay in, close to the Wharf and pretty easy to walk to everything or the buses to get to other locations. Rooms had a little bit of a musty smell to it but you got used to it after a second lol Breakfast was great every morning and good coffee. The staff were great.

The room and amenities were not as expected especially considering the cost. Beds are uncomfortable the breakfast was subpar and reused. The water pressure was low and the room in itself seemed out of date and stuck in the 80’s to bad the price didn’t match.

I truly enjoyed staying here with my family. It’s conveniently located near fisherman’s wharf and walking distance to pier 39 and Ghirardelli square. Valet parking could be a bit much but keeps your car safe and comparable to garage parking nearby for a daily rate. Breakfast is convenient and they have a 24 hr coffee station which is a wonderful touch. Housekeeping did an amazing job daily. The staff were very friendly and front desk staff provided info on great places nearby for those that have never visited before.

Nice place if you want to be in the center of it all. Showering was bit annoying because it was coming out slow.

The breakfast would have been nice to change up the food options. All three days there were eggs, sausage and potatoes as the main dishes. Now there is pancake, cereal, regular bread options, yogurts and some fruit. It would have been nice to have a different main course option for guest who are staying multiple days. The good: good location to fisherman’s wharf, the cable cars, pier 39 and Ghirardelli square.

Everyone working in the hotel from cleaning staff to management was immediately attentive, courteous, and greeted the guest with a smile and acknowledgement. It was great having 24-hour desk and coffee or tea in the lobby. The dining area was lively and well-used by the guests for dining, computer use, and as a general family interaction place. It was great to have a number of breakfast options buffet style ready starting at 6:30am to prepare for a day of sightseeing. The managemant is so attentive to every need and request. I had a malfunctioning USB port on one side of the bed and within a short time, they had changed it completely. The location itself is within walking distance of the pier and Ghirardelli. Several bus/other transport lines are within a block or two. Just fantastic and i would book again on my next visit to SF.

It wasn’t bad however we were on the 2nd floor street side it was very loud early in the morning on Friday due to trash removal. There was also a barking dog staying in a room near us. Both not the fault of the hotel itself. But still kinda annoying. Otherwise quiet the other mornings. Good location to cable car, Giardelli Square and other warf attractions. Parking was very easy and safe with their vallet service. Employees were nice and helpful.

Excellent 6 night stay. Good area for seeing all the dutes with good sccess to buses, trams and trolley buses within a short distance. Breakfast can be a bit chaotic at times if lots of people come down at same time, but staff do an excellent job of trying to keep supplies of food available.

Overall a great stay- loved the location the breakfast wasn’t bad just not a lot of space to eat the hotel room was clean and exactly what we expected

Don't pay the extra money for a Bayview room. I did and my view was of a carpark. I queried at Reception as to where my view of the Bay was and I was yold as the building is only 4 floors you can't see the Bay! No money was returned and I was offered another room on the 2nd floor that overlooked the street. I feel the extra that was paid should have been returned.

I didn’t like the surprise $30 per night “amenity” fee I was charged at the end of my stay. IMO it t should be included in the actual price of the hotel. Charging extra at the end for breakfast and having coffee and water available 24 hours seems deceptive when the hotel advertises the stay includes breakfast, etc.

The room wasn't the cleanest. It was obvious the floor hasn't been vacuumed since there was a Bobby pin on the floor. The front desk staff was great.

This was a great location, central to pretty much everything. We rented a car and there was plenty of parking. The bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was good, although they might want to rethink those coffee machines and have one that at least has coffee ready to pour. Would definitely stay here again.

But i could not sleep. we were on the first floor and u heard absolutely everything that went on on the hallway and lobby. the ac unit was also extremely loud. every time it kicked in. so loud that it woke me up.

No microwave for a week was a huge disappointment. We were also VERY disappointed in the TV as well. I am astonished that this day in age that the hotel has only 6 channels - cable. I could not even hook up my firestick. That was horrible. The staff was amazing!!!

Walkable and clean property.

However, I travel often and this hotel did not have good customer service similar to other hotels. From upon arriving, first thing we encountered was the Valet. Although we were the only car there, we did not receive a greeting whatsoever by the employee, no acknowledgement that we were even there 😂 so we walked towards the valet counter and provided our key to the attendant. No hello, no thanks, nothing. I then started walking towards the receptionist counter, thinking that the whole valet situation was just an isolated incident. I was wrong it just got worse 😩 As I was walking in, I looked up and made eye contact with the receptionist. Again, first impression. She looked at me and then looked back down. No hello, no smile, no welcome in, nothing. I had never experienced that at a hotel so I was put off by it. Lastly, the employees working the morning breakfast also lacked customer service skills. We asked for assistance with the pancake machine and that was a lag. The lady had no sense of urgency in assisting us. She went in a room and disappeared for a while so my daughter and I had to stand by the machine for a while as the line got longer and longer. We stayed two nights and spent approx $800 there, you would think we would receive better service, unfortunately we did not. Customer service is everything to me and my family and this hotel did not provide that for us during our stay.

The room was very clean & a good value. Erica at the front desk was such a pleasure. She was very informative & gave us two excellent dining suggestions (and discount coupons). She was also helpful with directions & general tips about the area. Our stay included a really nice breakfast, as well. I would absolutely return to this property if I ever find myself in San Francisco in the future.

Was fine. I especially liked location since I have a knee that bothers me some. Area was flat and near attractions I was interested in. My only complaint is that the breakfast area on the weekend was super busy. Not enough seating. One of the coffee machines & one of the pancake machines was broken. Food needed to be replenished. Staff didn’t seem attentive. Much better on a week day.

Lovely hotel, in great location for tourists. Hotel was clean, beds comfy and decent breakfast choice. Staff were always friendly and approachable. 5mins walk to main shops and restaurant's in Fisherman's Warf. 10-15mins walk to piers for boat trips and Lombard st. Close to stop 2 for Big Bus tour though stop one and main centre only 5 mins walk too. Wouldn't hesitate recommending this hotel to anyone wanting to explore amazing San Francisco!

Breakfast was plentiful if arrived very very early - but bland in taste. Air conditioning was good. View of other guests windows! Maid did excellent work Reception staff upon check in was monotone and unwelcoming. Gym is tiny and limited machines.

Service was great from everyone we encountered, from Valet to the Manager. Although the hotel is not right on the wharf, it is a straight shot by a few blocks. On the same street, in the opposite direction, you are at the corner of Ghirardelli Square. Their breakfast was a large 2 sided buffet. I've posted pictures.

Very nice stay.. I haven't stayed at a Holiday Inn in decades. I dont know if the brand has improved that much over the years or if this particular property just does an amazing job. Either way, I'm thinking I may need to add Holiday Inn back to my rotation of hotels. I'll definitely stay at this location again.

When we checked in our room key didn’t work. I went down to get a new room key they checked us into a room that people were already in and they had disgusting things on the bed. when I went back down, they checked us into a new room and a shirtless that they would take the resort fees off and they apologize for the inconvenience and the resort fees were not taken off and I felt very unsafe there, but I had no vehicle and because it was a holiday weekend majority of the downtown was sold out so we couldn’t switch hotels. I will not stay here again

Staff was awesome! Only gave 4 stars due to one of the elevators going down. I asked where the stairs were and was told those are only for emergencies. I get it but it was a holiday weekend, sold out property, and one elevator for our first two days.

It was our second time staying at this hotel while in San Francisco. We had excellent stay. Staff was super friendly, breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety, coffee (all day free) was consistently delicious and fresh. Facility is well kept, housekeeping was great and on-site tour advisor is a bonus. Overall, we had a great stay there except it was hard to find good dinning places for lunch and supper around the facility.

Located in a great area around Fisherman's Wharf. Really walkable to many places. The property is nicer than most Holiday Inn properties I've been to before. Breakfast gets a little tight for the amount of rooms there are and food was basic and didn't change the whole time we were there. We stayed on the top floor on the water side and there was a nice view of the bay and Alcatraz. The noise from outside was pretty loud though, we could hear cars zooming by all the time. I would stay there again however for it's location and accommodations.

It was great being near the shore and next to plenty of public transportation options.

Reservation on Aug 28. I ha one already booked for August 31. All together they made me 3 reservations. Thankfully Steve from Holiday inn took care of it all. I was only charged 30$ additional to room. Thank you so much for not charging me 740$. I would recommend hotel but not Expedia app to reserve a room.

Room was clean, but the toilet extremely close to the bed and the door entrance. Only one elevator was working so that was awful and staff wouldn’t let guests use the stairs. To top it off, there were homeless people sleeping outside of the hotel and peeing on the streets. And the valet driver hit a sign as he pulled our truck out.

I liked cleanliness and readiness of my room earlier than the check in time...but breakfast options were limited!

This is super close to Pier 39! We were able to walk there with zero issue. The staff at the hotel were also so helpful. My coworker and myself were honestly kind of annoying, I’m sure, but they never let it show. They held our luggage after our check out while we explored during our one free day of our work trip, despite us having to come back several times to add items to the luggage or get things out. Valet was very fast as well!

Our ratings would likely have been all fives but the breakfast was disappointing. Eggs were watery and had no flavor, turkey sausage was dry and pork links looked barely cooked. Cinnamon rolls however were good. Staff were all friendly.

The staff was courteous and helpful in every way. The breakfast was great and the room was clean. However I didn't sleep at all. I had people running on the floor above and the bed was so uncomfortable that I had to buy a memory foam pad at Walmart to be able to sleep even a little. The water pressure is the worst I've ever experienced, I imagine it's due to drought. I spent to nights miserable without sleep after taking an 8 hour flight from Florida.

Everything was excellent from check-in to check out. Staff is very professional and polite. By far the cleanest Holiday Inn Express we have ever stayed. Also loved the location.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they even allowed me an early check-in, which was a huge relief. The interior is spotless and well maintained. While the exterior looks a little dated, it hardly matters given the comfort and service inside.

The hotel looks very nice and seemed very clean but had a few major flaws. The breakfast room was chaos. The coffee machines took forever and seemed to break. The front desk staff ranged from super friendly and helpful to get lost I can't help you. No bar soap in bathroom. Broken USB's in the room. No place to buy sundry items. Didn't clean our room one day and we had to ask the next day.

Room could have used more lighting and a bigger thermostat to be able to read and adjust the AC
