The location was fantastic, very central, right at the lip of Union Square. I really liked the bathroom. It was simple but well-appointed with good water pressure in the shower. I liked the shelf above the sink, a small detail but it really made a difference. The staff were wonderful, personable and responsive. It was a effortless check-in and I had requested an earlier one not thinking they would accommodate me and they had my room ready. That really helps when you have less than 24 hours to stay, the ease of being able to throw your luggage into your room and leave to see the city. The check-out person was lovely and I had a great conversation as I waited for my cab, which is rare in such a big city and the sweetest way to end a stay:) The desk could have been not as abused as it appeared. The alarm clock with the extra plugs could have been a little more weighted so that it didn't feel quite as flimsy. I appreciated the safe, however it was located underneath the end of the bed and I kept banging my shin on it's open door and the instructions on how to lock it was microscopic and I had to lie down to read them. It was weird and quirky and even slightly charming in a dorm-room sort of way! My view was of a brick wall, which didn't matter as I wasn't there to look out the window.

TLDR: housekeeping swept rotting sushi from takeout under our bed, the staff attempted to charge us in full THREE times for our stay, they potentially are taking pictures of your room (massive privacy violation), the managers ignored and blocked us, the rooms have no air conditioning and are TINY, and the staff lied to us and refuse to resolve the issue. We noticed a disgusting odor and discovered housekeeping had intentionally swept rotting sushi takeout fish under our bed, along with our personal charger. Night staff couldn't help, forcing us to change rooms due to the biohazard. The next morning, front desk staff spent 30 minutes faking phone calls and pretending to mediate with a manager in the back. Only after intense pressing did a supervisor admit no manager was even on the property. To evade responsibility, they claimed housekeeping takes pictures of occupied rooms—a massive violation of privacy under California law (Intrusion Upon Seclusion). Yet, they couldn't produce the photos. They are either illegally photographing rooms or lying. We tried resolving this privately with Priscilla and Jordan. Instead of a refund, Priscilla ghosted our emails and Jordan blocked us. The service is aggressively hostile. Worse, the hotel tried to charge my card unauthorized THREE times. When trying to check out early, they ignored Expedia’s approval requests

It was so close to everything, just step out the front and hop on the tram it was so handy. They only have one lift and it’s was very slow. I could have used the stairs but when your on the 8th floor it to much.
- 4/5
Hotel room seemed pretty clean, LVP flooring. Helpfull staff. Reasonably priced hotel, good if you spend all day outside. Beds close to door and hallway noise in morning but hotel seemed quiet. You can hear people talking in hallways. Rooms very small, safe under bed on floor so be prepared to go on hands and knees. Shower door installer needs to be fired. Water leaks out from door and makes a mess everywhere. No air conditioner but window offered a breeze.

No refrigerator available. No luggage rack. The tv and phone didn’t work at check in. Had to wait 2 days for it to be fixed. No maid service. Very strange hotel. I saw other much nicer rooms with a refrigerator and proper windows. Maybe they didn’t like me as a hotels.com customer.

Great location, clean and stylish rooms with nice shower. Coffee on morning is really nice. Lack of room temperature control makes it a bit uncomfortable and can be noisy as near the lift. WiFi had issues.

Great location great Price comfy bed one more. Can you ask for? People that clean the rooms ignorant not friendly dismissive
- 3/5
location and cleanliness no refrigerator and microwave
- 4/5
The hotel itself was pretty, clean, and well located. The room was small like you’d expect in a downtown area but the bed was comfortable. Maybe this is typical in SanFrancisco but there was no parking on site and the street in front of the hotel is for street cars and deliveries only. We had to pay $45 in the garage a block away and haul all of our stuff through the rain to the hotel.
- 4/5
No breakfast available but I was not expecting that. There was no WiFi when I arrived. It took them all day and night to fix it. I was in town for a conference so that really messed with my preparation.
- 5/5
The check-in was quick and easy. The clerk was friendly. The "little Queenie" room was just what we needed while visiting the City. A comfortable bed and a large bathroom. The shower was large. The room and bathroom were spotless. Check-out was just as quick as check-in. I really like the nearness to Union Square and the bus lines. I will definitely return to Hotel Stratford.
- 5/5
This hotel was buffet friendly and was located in the heart of a city full of luxurious brands near the hotel. The rooms were small but that’s sfo for you.
- 2/5
Cons: Minimal seating in room (one small stool). No luggage rack. There was space for a chair and small table but nothing to sit on except the bed! Bathroom fine except it had a tiny low toilet. No cups of any kind in the bathroom for water. Pros: Location is very good and room was clean.

We were only staying for one night and the room worked well for our needs. The rooms were a little small but as we weren’t staying long it wasn’t an issue for us. The bathroom was updated and spacious, the beds were comfortable but the pillows were a bit lumpy. There is no AC in the rooms which can be fine when the city is not experiencing a heat wave. The hotel is conveniently located in the union square district. Shelf check in was very easy.
- 5/5

- 4/5
The room was clean with good wifi. Location was great. Had to request to fix the bathroom ceiling light and also to change the defective alarm clock. Also there are no glasses in the room which I found very particular. So I had to go to the reception to get plastic glasses.
- 2/5
Upon arrival, I was greeted by a young man who could care less one way or another if I was a guest at the hotel or a janitor cleaning the building. The room I was provided was the smallest, darkest room I'd ever seen, with the windows facing the HVAC system of the building. I requested a different room, offered to pay more for an upgrade, if I had to. The young man said nothing at all, took my old key, then gave me a new one. I went to the new room, and it was adequate. The towels were not in the bathroom, rather in the main room. The outlet next to the bed to charge electronics did not function. Worse, the bed was hard, I mean, very hard. It was difficult to sleep, and what made matters worse, I guess the city of San Francisco does all its major dumpster dropping at 4:30am. I expected noise outside, but it was worse than I could have imagined. I found myself wishing I'd stayed at the Westin down the street. Upon checkout, the lady didn't ask how things went. Just took the keycard and said, have a nice day. I will not be returning to this property.
- 4/5
Good central location. Just the basics. No view
- 4/5
Room and hotel is very clean. The location was excellent too, and the area is safe. However I was surprised there was no mini fridge which was a bummer and couldn’t store my leftovers or snacks. Pretty pricey for what you get, but it’s San Francisco. No A/C either which was fine with the windows open and fan. Probably wouldn’t want to stay here in the summer…
- 5/5
Right by Union square. Very civilised boutique hotel centrally located. Staff very helpful
- 2.5/5
I did not I didn’t it it’s tiny
- 4/5
Location and price Rooms are very small, but ok for the price. But they don’t leave any water or a coffee maker in the rooms. Also, you have to request cleaning service 24hours before.
- 2.5/5
I like how the location was close by to the areas I wanted to site see. It was convenient. It would’ve been nice if they have a closet to hangout clothes and mini fridge. My clothes were wrinkled because I had to keep it in my luggage and there’s no fridge to store drinks and food. While taking a shower, our bathroom flooded and water was everywhere. The employees didn’t bring up the iron and iron board at the time that we needed it. I was already in the lobby and needed to use the bathroom. There’s a bathroom around the corner of the lobby and the guy that works there, followed me and said I couldn’t use the bathroom. He was rude and his behaviors are not acceptable.
- 5/5
It was very updated and clean. Has a cafe connected with GREAT Coffee!!! The room was nice, clean and the bed was very comfy. It felt like an Air BNB, but an actual hotel. Easy check-in and checkout. Parking Garage close and reasonably priced. Location was perfect for our stay. It is right in the Heart of Union Square! I would definitely stay again. No valet parking.
- 5/5
Way more than I expected for the price. Room was basic, but the handicapped bathroom was exceptional. We took the Bart from the airport. I use a walker and the hotel was much closer than expected. About two blocks but saw hotel sign as soon as stepped out of Bart. There was even a burger king between bart and hotel!! Also close to F line to hop on for our cruise this morning. If noice bothers you the trolley is noisy. At night didn't hear much though just started early morning. Didn't bother me though because part of San Fran charm.
- 4/5
I needed a fan! Lol Other than that it was great!
- 5/5
There was nothing that I didn't like
- 4/5
Great location and comfortable bed and shower. More affordable than other options dowtown They don't store your lugagge if you have a late flight, which most hotels do for free these days. There's a souvenir shop right in front that does it for $8/bag.

I've been staying at the Stratford since late 1990s I know it has had several different owners but this recent version of the Stratford is the best so far
- 3/5
Room was great! Clean and nice! My biggest complaint is that they couldn’t leave our bags at the front when we arrived early we had to go across the street and pay $20 to help our bags cap for a couple hours until our room is ready. I’ve never been to a hotel in my entire life that didn’t have the ability of your luggage while you wait.
- 5/5
Room was nice and clean, good view. Staff was very niice and helpful. The cafee area was great
- 5/5
Clean room, helpful staff
- 5/5
I especially liked the cafe area which was open to guests all the time, and I could sit and work on my laptop there It was a very inspiring space! A comfortable chair in the room would have been nice to have
- 3/5
The check-in experience was awful. The Front desk staff needs to be trained to help people. The person just stood by the kiosk while we struggled. She seemed very put off when my colleague from Belgium had issues. Very uncomfortable situation. It was quite embarrassing. There was an Asian Gentleman on the last day that was nice. But no eye contact or smiles from anyone else. Very strange. Room was clean and nice. But COLD as the heater didn't work.
- 4.5/5
The location of the hotel is convenient especiallly if you have to be close to union square and moscone center. From there, touristic places around San Francisco can be reached easily. The hotel does not allow to store the bags on the last day, so it is very inconvenient especially if you have some hours to spend and you want to do it light. Drip coffee next door is included in the morning, but the staff of the cafe are a bit unfriendly when asked for the "free" coffee.
- 3/5
Pictures don’t match. No vending machine inside and the closest thing to you is a block away it’s not fun for night time
- 4.5/5
Couldn’t beat the price Awesome, pretty clean
- 4/5
Location & cleanliness No bidet in the toilet, we feel not clean when using toilet without bidet on it.

I would definitely stay again.Clean, shops. cable car infront of the hotel, beside Macy's and Union Square.

Kind of noisy. Super small room bur good price quality ratio
- 0.5/5
Great location Staff attitude.
- 2/5
Our main issue was the hallway to our room reeked and there was a large bag of trash left in front of our door. The room across from us (802) looked like there was a long term resident living there since it was the only room with a swipe card entry and had old flyers/signs on the outside. Most importantly it seemed to be the source of odor which then started coming into our room making it unpleasant for sleep or spending time in our room.

The hotel is wasn’t clean, the sheets had stains. The room was very small, misleading post
- 2/5
The room had no ac and it was so hot in the room
- 3/5
Staff was modestly attentive. Room was very small which is ok but our view was of a brick wall with plumbing (sewer?) that seemed to leak all night was a problem. But the worst thing was that there were no plastic cups or any cups in order to to take pills or brush your teeth. And they also locked us out of the room before the 11 am departure time. We had to climb the stairs to get a key extension to get into the room for our luggage and it did not work the first time. So we had to climb the steps again. Not bad really but irritating.

- 3/5
Room was cosy albeit small. Staff was really friendly. Location is great! But there’s no tea/coffee in the room and they don’t have locker room to leave the luggage pre/post check in/out.

My check in was excellent thanks to ALEX!

- 4/5
Everything was amazing the only thing was just the air room was stuffy but we opened the window
- 5/5
Rooms were compact but clean, large bathrooms. Water pressure in the shower needs work, but good location and would stay again
- 3/5
It would be better if there was luggage storage after checkout, having cups and fridge in the room
- 5/5
This is hotel is perfect for sight seeing. The location is just right if you want to ride to the bay on the cable car. The hotel is a small size, quiet, clean and comfortable. I'd aboslutely stay here agin when no doubt I come back to visit in the future. There are breakfast options in the hotel but plenty of eateries in the area.
- 5/5
I was in San Francisco for a conference at a different hotel. Hotel Stratford was within a few minutes walk. I knew I would be at the conference throughout the day. I just needed a place to sleep. For <50% the cost of the conference hotel, Hotel Stratford was clean, convenient, and comfortable. There was no refrigerator in my room but that didn’t matter. I was able to get chilled water or hot water from their dispenser in the lobby (less waste). WiFi was fast. The room was small but functional. I didn’t choose the breakfast option since the conference had breakfast. Their coffee was reasonably priced and good. Shopping was just outside as were dining options. I was able to walk to Little Tokoyo and the waterfront (1-1.2 miles away). I did have athletic shoes because San Francisco is hilly. The bed was comfortable, the desk was suitable, there was no shortage of electric outlets, and the bathroom was fine. The staff were friendly and helpful. I like staying away from the conference hotel if I can to get a break from it. Hotel Stratford allowed me to do this comfortably.
- 5/5
I loved the ambiance of the hotel. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I loved the area as it was by all the shops and close to easy transportation.
- 4/5
The online check-in system was flawed. The staff are friendly and the room was clean. The Wifi worked well.
- 4/5
We had a very good stay for 2 nights. Thank you for extending our check out time so we could leave luggage in our room until mid afternoon pick up to the airpott.
- 5/5
Great hotel in a good location.
- 5/5
Great stay. Super convenient.
- 4/5
The hotel is close to everything. Staff was nice. Downtown vibes. My room was small and quaint and clean. My view was not that much to brag about it was facing a corner and walls but I was fine for just a night stay. Would I recommend? Sure. It is walking distance to restaurants, transportation, etc., etc.
- 1/5
The room was very small, and while the location is right next to Union Square, the street noise was unbearable. There were many homeless people around and the area felt dirty and unsafe. Honestly, I would not recommend staying here.
- 5/5
There's many shops and places to eat nearby. Room was smaller than I expected but honestly I was out on the town anyways. No fault of the hotel but the homeless issue is bad in the city.
- 3/5
Rooms were small, no air conditioning, low water pressure in the shower.
- 5/5
Costumer service it’s exelente
- 4/5
Loved the location, a little small but so cute.
- 4/5
The breakfast was good, you can choose one pastry and something to drink, coffe or soda.
- 4/5
Modern hotel with easy convenience. Only thing that was annoying was that the water from the shower soaked the floor outside when when I called lobby to request more towels I never got them and had to call multiple times to get them.. also loud construction going on outside in the morning
- 4/5
Overall was good. It would be helpful if front desk helped when doing self check-in. We had to go downstairs two times because keys was not working.
- 4/5
This was a nice property to stay at. It doesn't offer much, such as dining, etc., on site, but it has plenty of other things around it to try, and that's within walking distance. There was a small smell where I was located -- on the top floor -- in the hallway. And I think one of the staff members could've been a tad more informative on how the door system worked, but that's all minor things.
- 5/5
Very cute !
- 2/5
My bed was dirty and they brought me new sheets and made me change my bed
- 1/5
Rooms were extremely small, no AC, thin walls and front desk employee was not friendly and seemed bothered to do her job. We will not be back.
- 4/5
It is generally a small room. Luckily enough it wasn’t hot on the day I checked in. Only a fan in the room was my biggest concern and issue. Everything else is pretty okay.
- 1/5
I have been staying at this property for a couple years now, this past trip I was put into a unit on the top floor, the unit directly across mine which belongs to squatters. The hallway and my unit smelled like smoke and had gnats throughout with trash throughout the hallways left there for days. This property is unsafe and unsecured with squatters.
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Our stay was overall okay. The rooms are pretty small and we had a view of a brick wall. The room itself was clean and renovated but the hallway smelled like urine. The staff was nice as well and very helpful. This hotel is one of the nicer ones considering the price but it has its shortcomings
- 4/5
The rooms are quite small and there's no air conditioning.
- 5/5
The room itself was cozy, clean, and comfortable, creating the perfect space to relax after a day of exploring. It had a charming feel that made me feel right at home. While the hotel doesn’t have air conditioning, the weather was absolutely perfect during my stay. I was able to keep the window open the whole time and enjoy the fresh San Francisco breeze, which actually added to the experience. Overall, The Stratford delivered exactly what I was hoping for. A comfortable, welcoming stay in a prime location. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting San Francisco and will absolutely consider staying here again on my next trip!
- 4/5
Excellent location for tourism
- 4/5
It’s overall decent hotel. Not for primadonas, its really for sleeping and showering after a long day out in the city. You come to San Francisco for the sightseeing, the scenery, the food. Not the hotel.
- 5/5
This hotel is right in the heart of everything and the staff is amazing!!! Hotel Stratford was Perfect!!! The hotel is simple, clean,, modern, and a great location!!! I’m so glad we stayed here!
- 5/5
The room itself was clean, modern, and very comfortable – just perfect for a couple of nights. The location is also excellent, within walking distance of the train station, public transport, shopping, and plenty of places to eat. Overall, a great stay and I’d happily return.
- 4/5
This was a basic hotel in a great area. The hotel itself had little to no amenities, except coffe and pastries in the morning, which were okay. No ice machine, microwave in any of the rooms. Thank goodness the neighborhood had everything to offer from retail stores, cafes, restaurants, and multiple modes of transportation, in addition to an open air plaza around the corner where you could sit, listen to free music, play games etc. I would not stay here again, but definitely stay in the area( Union Square) again.
- 4/5
We will stay here again. There is a kettle and instant coffee and tea in the room and a hair dryer. No other amenities. We enjoyed our 2 night stay.
- 3/5
It was a quiet peaceful hotel. So close to various attractions. Also loved the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash that was provided!!

- 5/5

- 5/5
I liked the self check in and self checkout process, very easy and efficient.

- 4/5
Nothing unique, I did not like no refrigerator or microwave in room or lobby
- 5/5

Con: Need better shower door. Every time we showered there was a puddle of water on the floor. The hotel is right across the street from Union Square and close to stores like Nintendo, Macy's, Trader Joe's and high end shops (Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Saint Laurent etc). There's restaurant, cafes and bars nearby. The streets around the hotel were busy and bustling with people throughout the day, but found the area to be sketchy at night so we wrapped up playing tourist by 10pm. The hotels location made catching Lyft and Waymo very convenient. Would stay here again for short/budget friendly trips.
- 3/5
Very basic but clean hotel. No frills whatsoever. Basically just a place to sleep at night. No coffee in the rooms, no fridge, no microwave, no full length mirror, no seating area, and a TV the size of an iPad. We were In town for a music festival so this was okay but would not stay here if you’re looking for any amenities. The sink was also separate from the bathroom/shower and was placed right where you walk in the door.
- 5/5
Its a wonderful spot for when visiting the city! Small but tidy rooms near the heart of the city made it easy to have a sightseeing trip! Restaurants nearby aslo made it easy to find something to eat the whole time.
- 5/5
I like how it was close by Union Square and other best locations. Depending what room you get the view isn’t the best. Unfortunately we got the room that the view was another room. But the room itself wasn’t bad. There isn’t a microwave or fridge but we only stayed for a day, we didn’t mind of it. But if your planning to stay over more than one day, it would help to have one. But overall not a bad place.
- 4/5
The hotel itself is tidy and is very central and we cant complain if it was for a night or two. Just felt that it was an effort for the girls behind the desk to be there.
- 4/5
Lighting is not great. No cups. They have a small cafe that is underwhelming. But other coffee places and restaurant close. Lyft or Uber is easy access. Would stay their again, price was right.
- 5/5
This hotel was located in a perfect location. Really enjoyed my stay. Staff was nice.
- 5/5
Very nice m, clean and central. Totally recommend it and will definitely come back again

Strangest Hotel l have ever stayed in. It was clean, but there was no shower curtain for the tub, no closet, no drawers and no ice on the property. Most of the people at the front desk were not very friendly and even though it said in the description they could store your luggage, they could not. The cable car runs just outside the hotel. Other than that, l really liked the location. There are other hotels around that might be a better choice

Decent stay, but no luggage storage service.
- 4/5
Very nice hotel, clean, quiet and great location. the only drawback is they do not have storage at the reception for temporary storing the luggage. I was told by the receipting that I have to go cross the road to store my luggage at the souvenir shop at $8.

It was ok. You definitely get what you pay for. It's in a horrible part of town. The self-check in computers didn't work. The shower leaked. The shampoo and conditioner bottles that were supplied were half empty. There was hair in the bed that wasn't mine. I wouldn't stay there again, but I didn't die so that's a plus.
- 4/5
Great location very central. Overall the room was nice clean and tidy. It did get a little warm because there was no air conditioning but it did have a ceiling fan. Very reasonably price all things considered.

Great
- 4/5
The bed was very comfortable, and while the room and bed were small, it was perfect for my needs to sty overnight in the area.
- 4/5
Fine for a couple of nights, reasonable central location in the centre of town.
- 2/5
The property was at a great location! but the fact that room service wasn’t offered daily and the sink was 2 ft from my bed was terrible. also, there was no A/C, not that it didn’t matter since at night the temps dropped to a cold that the paper thin bed sheets properly covered me in. when requesting room service for new sheets and then a desperate request to see if it was possible to get another blanket there was also no reply to any messages. bright side, all staff was very professional and nice so good job to that! otherwise, never again.
- 5/5
It’s a very small room. Service was excellent and location pristine! Highly recommended if looking for a place to shower and sleep.
- 2/5
People were fine they answered any question we had. We weren’t given the room I originally booked, the sheets had dried blood. They changed them as soon as we told them. The room view was an A/C machine but the room had no A/C. Overall it gave the impression of newly renovated to modern look but service and cleanliness isn’t matching. It just did what we needed though which was a place to stay so it’s not a bad price for just that but that’s all. Also, this is more of an Expedia experience but I kept seeing the price fluctuate from 109-150 and instead of honoring it for the cost I was just given the difference in credit but for the experience I had I wish I just cancelled and rebooked at the cheaper price with the hotel.

Great location to tour San Francisco from. Room was very comfortable & quiet. Perfect for the solo traveler.
- 5/5
The hotel is really beautifully decorated as it has a great mix of mid century modern aesthetic with a classic vibe. The hotel room was smaller than I expected, but great for just me on the trip. Overall great experience, also don’t forget to get the breakfast package.
- 3/5
Very small room, no bathrobe, no cups for water, no garbage can
- 5/5
It was good
- 5/5
Modest and clean, makes excellent use of space in the room, comfortable bed, sweet shower. Two blocks from the train, half an hour from the airport (via transit or car). Incredibly affordable, especially for the area!
- 4/5
Very lovely lobby and clean. My room was small, a very tight fit. Shower is super tiny. There's no ice machine and no items for clothing care like a steamer or iron. It would've been helpful to have those things, but I'm glad the property was very clean and everything worked well.

The hotel was newly renovated and very clean. The rooms were small but fine for an overnight stay. There is no A/C, and the high was 75 outside that day but the room was super hot. Radiator was not on in the room but it was stifling. Slept on top of the sheets with almost nothing on, ceiling fan on high, and just sweated all night. The area around the hotel is full of empty bldgs and permanently closed businesses. The smell of urine and Marijuana is everywhere along with the homeless. I had business in the area but was glad to leave as soon as possible.

Clean, efficient, good security measures. Will stay there again.
- 2/5
Sheets had holes in them- no water drinking glass- no turn down service- the absolute minimum in terms of expectations
- 5/5
Room was clean and cozy. No refrigerator or microwave to make you aware. The building is old, though modernized in the room. There were however lots of popping noises and unrecognizable radiator noises we weren't accustomed to that kept us awake in the night.
- 5/5
Superbly renovated hotel next to Union Square near many dining and shopping options.
- 4/5
Small, clean, modern rooms in a great location. Good for a solo traveler or a couple. Basic amenities, but acceptable if staying just a few nights.
- 5/5
Great location! Clean.

definitely had a mold problem floors flooded after taking a shower and woke up with a terrible headache. unsafe location with expensive limited parking.
- 1/5
One of the worst stays I've ever seen for the money you're paying. It's very expensive $150-300 a day, while you'll get a room with a sink in the middle of the room facing the bed. It's super awkward. There's 0 facilities, no ice no frodge nothing.
- 4/5
Great location; very simple and clean. Didnt have coffee in the rooms or in the lobby.
- 4/5
Nice hotel in an excellent occasion. Very friendly and helpful at front desk. Rooms are small but that is what makes it an affordable stay. Only complaint is a bad smell in the hallway during our recent 5 night stay.
- 5/5
Great location, no frills except for free fizzy water on tap in the lobby area, value for money
- 5/5
The Stratford is conveniently located right on the cable car street. The room was small but very clean and modern like it had just been renovated. I would definitely stay there again.
- 4/5
Its located at a convenient place. Next to union square and metro and cable car stop. Neat and clean place with very helpful staff. They have to work on breakfast menu. Our stay included breakfast. In breakfast you could get one cup of coffee and one crossand or cinnamon bun. I never never had that limited breakfast options. Though they have a good breakfast sitting area. They need to improve their breakfast options.
- 4/5
It was a clean room. Even though room was small you have your own bathroom, good size bed, and great location. Great spot for a quick trip to SF.
- 5/5
Hreat central location. Within waljing to distance to Union Square, cable cars, major shops and BART train system. Modern design. Clean hotel, minimal ammenties.

Great location

Staff was very friendly and professional very simple room but that is all that you need.
- 5/5
Our stay at Hotel Stratford was great. Check-in was quick and simple, the location is super centric, just one block away from several metro/Muni/BART/cable car stations. The room was a little bit smaller than anticipatef but tbh, you don’t need more if you’re going as a tourist or for business since you’re going to the hotel just to sleep. One thing though, there is no cleaning services as in most hotels, you have to ask for it 24 hrs in advice. Overall, pretty good experience.

On the first morning we had no breakfast , I didnt understand why. We were sent to a near by cafe and were told that we will get a discount there. Of course we didnt. The breakfast at the hotel was poor: only one cup of coffee and either one pastry or a cup of yogurt and granola. Everything else or more is by payment. All in all, quiet dissaponting. Especially because the pictures in the site are so misleading

Traveler from NorCal Humboldt. So, Stratford Room 608 is not a supreme room nor should it be referenced as one. Was quite disappointed at the size of the supreme room for $175. Also, no amenities for that price accept cup of coffee. The room was tiny and for the price I could have gotten a much larger room at another place which included breakfast. Had my transportation not previously been arranged at this address I would have stayed else where. The young female attendant was kind and proper but not very helpful and appeared to be in her own world. Room 608 was quite clean but remember to bring your own hand soap there was none at the sink. Overall, I give the room a solid 7.0 and thank you for an interesting stay, Hotel Stratford!

Access to BART

Good place to stay. Clean, accesible to main areas and transportation.
- 1/5
Abysmal. One lift for the hotel, forcing you to take the stairs that smell like a mix of urine and weed. No staff or services to speak off. Tiny, tiny rooms without any amenities, not even a cheap coffee maker. All this for $470 / night. Unbelievable. Never again.
- 5/5
Nice location, price wise.

Small rooms, never serviced in 3 days. Wouldnt consider this place again
- 5/5
Great location, rooms are tiny but clean, lobby is small as well. Staff was overall nice.

Centrally located to shops, dining and transportation

No restaurant. Coffee bar with limited menu. TV had limited channels.
- 4/5
Very modern and close to most things. You can hop right onto the cable car from here! Rooms are very tiny and some of the rooms have the sink and mirror outside of the bathroom as an FYI.
- 5/5
Very clean. There was a staff to help if needed
- 5/5
Small rooms but good for sleeping if your only goal is to be out on the town
- 5/5
Quiet Prime Location Excellent Coffee offered in morning Filtered water available
- 5/5
Clean modern rooms. Comfortable beds and pillows. Was very quiet after 9. Incredibly affordable for the area. Stayed for the week on business. Would definitely stay again.
