The rooms and beds are very comfortable. The hotel is rustic but modern. Nice touches like the wine, breakfast and cognac sitting in the living room. Very nice neighborhood, feels safe and comfortable. Stuff for helpful when needed.

Very comfortable accommodations, great location to our daughter and son-in-laws place. Plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance...nice simple continental breakfast, coffee and juice available. Also a very beautiful garden area for a simple happy hour of regional wines and cheeses.
- 5/5
The continental breakfast was wonderful (but could have some pastries to balance all the healthy items). The room was convenient and was very clean and well kept. We would definitely book another stay the next time we visit SF.

Very nice staff and great location to explore nearby neighborhoods.

A wonderful garden setting a block from SF’s iconic Dolores Park. Close to public transportation, great restaurants and cafes. It feels like living in SF instead of staying in a corporate hotel downtown.
- 4/5
Pleasant looking hotel, beautiful buildings, nice gardens. Shower was disappointing. Not full body stream.

Dolores Park is about half a block away, you are surrounded by cafes and eateries, and friendly people all around. Easy to get to/from (walking distance to the Castro), it is a fairly tranquil experience that I look forward to experiencing again whenever I travel to San Francisco. The light rail runs down Church street for extra convenience, but if you are a light sleeper, you may need ear plugs the first night. All in all... LOVED this place.
- 5/5
This is a great place to stay. The breakfast is excellent and the staff is very helpful. I will stay here again in the future.
- 5/5
The breakfast was wonderful with bagels, Danish, Greek yogurt, cereals, eggs, toast, jams...we loved every morning sipping our coffee in the garden room and talking with other guests.

I LOVE this place! Just super comfy and beautiful. Great, quiet and safe neighborhood.
- 4/5
For the US, breakfast options were really good, they even have oats for porridge :) Next to the location there's the Mission Dolores Park - really nice when it's sunny and warm! The garden right outside was also super nice to relax and the staff was very friendly. There were several hair in the drawer in my room and also on the wall in the bathroom.. Additionally, I had 2 spiders sitting on the ceiling :( Not negative, but just be aware that there's no elevator, so it might be a bit of a workout to get your luggage into the first floor.
- 5/5
Beautiful property. Wonderful breakfast. Old charm. Will go back. Everything was perfect.

nothing they canceled booking day off and proposed to sub my stay with some random low cost hostel. avoid this place

Great staff, amazing location, great accommodations. It’s wonderful being right in the middle of the city, yet the private garden provides such a nice break from the bustle.

Nice place well located. Room was clean and the breakfast was very good. Staff attentive.

The friendly atmosphere created by staff created the same among guests.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful! Great location with walking distance to everything we needed and great restaurants. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The property was so well furnished and the garden was beautiful. We’ll be back on our next trip!

I had a wonderful stay at Parker Guest House in San Francisco. The property is charming, peaceful, and feels like a true home away from home. The highlight was the cocktail social hour with a delicious charcuterie spread — such a fun and thoughtful touch that made the stay extra special. Great hospitality, cozy atmosphere, and a perfect place to relax after exploring the city. I would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
We love this place. We have stayed there several times, and it is our go to place for San Francisco! See you next time!
- 5/5
Great neighborhood and really nice play to stay in it
- 5/5
Amazing staff! Property was immaculate and all the decorations and attention to detail made it feel like we were staying in a home, away from home. The wine and cheese hour every night was very relaxing and breakfast was absolutely perfect. Great coffee! Loved the location and the garden was very well taken care of. Cant say enough good things about Parker Guest House, literally can not wait to go back:)

- 5/5
Best place to stay! Beautiful decorations, felt like I was home for Christmas!
- 5/5
Another great stay at Parker House! Holiday party in the City and it’s location is very walkable and convenient. Staff is so helpful and go beyond to assist. The garden and grounds are lovely. Breakfast is continental but the bagels and other baked goods are high-end and fresh. Yogurt, cereal, granola and hard boiled eggs beautifully presented. Some construction to keep the place ship-shape, but did not bother us. Happy to return.
- 5/5
I always like how comfortable it is. The little kitchenette where you can make tea or whatever you need is so nice.
- 5/5
Beautiful place, kind staff, good breakfast, great vibes.
- 5/5
Like: location, stuff, and breakfast.
- 5/5
Staff were courteous and location is excellent!
- 5/5
Parker guest house was absolutely gorgeous. They had a great continental breakfast, they had an evening open bar and Brandy nightcaps in front of the fireplace. It is very close to Dolores Park and the Castro.
- 5/5
I didn't get a chance to sit in the beautiful garden or partake of their wine in the late afternoon or brandy anytime in their living room with the fireplace. I'll just have to do that on a return stay!
- 5/5
Fantastic place! Would definitely come back again.
- 5/5
Such a great spot - we appreciated the friendly staff, convenient location, charming space and super comfortable BED/linens! We will be back!
- 5/5
The location is great if you are visiting this area of SF and the Inn is a wonderful place all around. Highlights include beautiful outdoor space, gorgeous flowers and touches all over the house, great breakfast and happy hour. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms well equipped. We will definitely be back.
- 5/5
Very clean
- 5/5
An oasis in the hustle and bustle of San Francisco! The staff had the highest of Hospitality Quotient as we felt like family upon arrival with a spread of local wines and a charcuterie board. We loved our tiny room nestled into the basement and while we shared a bathroom, it wasn't too much of a bother, as there was another one upstairs if ours was occupied. Oh and did I mention the morning brunch? Delicious pastries, fresh juices, coffee, and cereal. We had it all (and quite honestly didn't want to leave even though our next destination was wine country). I will mention that our room was on the main street and the street cars dinged all night, so if you're a lighter sleeper you might want to request a room away from the street. With all the said, what a marvelous stay! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
- 5/5
From the moment I stepped inside, the atmosphere was instantly inviting. The historic Victorian architecture is beautifully maintained, blending classic elegance with modern comfort. My room, in particular, was spotlessly clean and served as a tranquil retreat after a long day of sightseeing. Waking up and having my morning coffee in the peaceful, lush garden courtyard felt like a little slice of heaven. The staff's hospitality is what truly sets Parker Guest House apart. They were incredibly welcoming and helpful, always ready with a smile and excellent recommendations for exploring the Castro and Mission districts. They made me feel less like a guest and more like a cherished friend visiting their home. The complimentary breakfast was a delightful start to each day—fresh, varied, and served in a lovely dining area. It provided a perfect opportunity to meet and chat with other travelers, enhancing the communal and friendly spirit of the house. If you are looking for a place that feels authentic, comfortable, and beautifully situated in one of San Francisco's best neighborhoods, look no further than the Parker Guest House. I wholeheartedly recommend it and absolutely plan on returning.

Really beautiful house, decorated for its style. Comfortable bed, friendly service, great location for exploring the city. Lots of small, ethnic restaurants nearby.
- 5/5
This is a lovely and charming bed and breakfast located in a great neighborhood. Staff - especially the managers - are friendly and helpful. We can't wait to come back. So friendly and comfortable!
- 5/5
Super friendly staff, lovely decor and super comfortable room. Beautiful grounds on a quiet street.
- 5/5
Wonderful, 11/10.
- 4/5
Great staff!!! Older but quaint. Could be just a bit cleaner overall. The grounds are beautiful. Would definitely book there again. Also in the Mission, which is a great location 🙂
- 5/5
Beautiful property! Very nice happy hour & breakfast, and wonderful staff. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
I really enjoyed the quietness of the bnb. Lastly regarding location, nightlife is very walkable but not close enough to where you hear bar activity.
- 5/5
My favorite "hotel" ever. Much more like a friendly cozy home. Super safe building in a great neighborhood.
- 5/5
The establishment and amenities were amazing BUT it's the staff that made it exceptional! The garden is a treasure and oasis I needed.
- 5/5
A beautiful setting in the middle of the Castro! Staff was excellent. Would stay again!
- 5/5
Cozy and comfortable room, staff very helpful, beuatiful outdoor area and well located near parks, coffee shops, and downtown
- 5/5
A wonderful place to stay highly recommended
- 5/5
Great atmosphere, friendly staff.

We absolutely loved Parker Guest House! The property is beautiful, our room was clean and so comfortable, and the service was friendly. We will definitely be back.

Friendly and engaging staff.

Amazing B&B in a fantastic location. Very personalized interactions and service. Loved the breakfast, coffee, and atmosphere. Room was adorable, clean and comfortable. I will be back!
- 5/5
Fantastic stay, great service, amazing gardens, great food, lovely, super helpful staff! Wish every bed and breakfast was this great.
- 5/5
They think of everything.... snacks, wine social, games to play by fireside, beautiful floral arrangements everywhere
- 5/5
Great B&B, my room was very clean, very comfortable, the staff (Carol and husband) were excellent. Coffee and light breakfast in the morning was perfect. The exterior grounds are private, beautiful, serene. The B&B is very safe, secure. Excellent location, I will return.
- 5/5
I love the breakfast and the patio! Such a beautiful place!
- 5/5
We were going to a holiday party in the Mission area and wanted a place to stay close by. Beautiful property and attentive staff. Very much a traditional bed and breakfast with secure entry and exit and parking for a reasonable fee. Room was nice and big and bright. Very clean. Had a nice quiet stay and continental breakfast in the morning was great. Will book again.
- 5/5
An incredible place to stay. A great continental breakfast, so many options. Wine and cheese hour every evening. It’s as social as you want it to be and the gardens/sitting areas outside are fabulous. We will be back!
- 5/5
I only had the overnight there, but breakfast was good and they had a wine bar in the evening. Very personal.
- 5/5
I stayed me night but I truly loved the atmosphere, the comfy room, and the beautiful garden. I’ll be back!
- 5/5
A delightful place to stay with a beautiful garden to relax in .
- 5/5
What a beautiful place! The room was large and spotless, and there were wonderful outdoor and indoor spaces to hang out in. All that, in a relatively quiet neighborhood with nearby cafes and a trolley that takes you directly downtown. (There is a large school across the street, so it may not be as quiet midweek when that's in session.) We will be returning!
- 4/5
First, I want to say that the managers do a FANTASTIC job!! I’ve been staying at PH for many years (many times each year). I’m sad to say that I will not be staying there anymore. I don’t know if it’s the change of times or people. The last three visits I was there. It was impossible to sleep at night. Every 20 minutes somebody is slamming a door (the entire night). There were people sitting under the trees in the backyard, talking throughout the entire evening (loudly). At the Continental breakfast each morning, people selfishly get plate after plate of food with no respect for all the other visitors. Most people act like it’s the only meal they’re going to have all day. It’s definitely the change of times, and the way people feel entitled nowadays. Plus the surrounding area is extremely dirty and full of homeless people now. Parker House will always be one of my favorite places I’ve stayed. It’s just time to move onto somewhere else. Thank you PH for all the great memories.
- 5/5
The Parker House was within a block and half of our son’s apt.-a real plus. During our stay we enjoyed our room and both the inside and outside common spaces. Love the new and old decor! Breakfast was very good. We enjoyed a very comfortable stay!
- 5/5
The location was ideal for me for this trip, and secure parking was important. Beyond that, the room was large, comfortable, and clean. The staff were exceedingly kind, and the outdoor area was a quiet, beautiful place to sit and have a glass of wine.
- 5/5
Really great place to stay. Well located and lovely touches
- 5/5
I don't usually write a review, so that alone says a lot about my stay.
- 5/5
Very well kept, good location that is close to the Castro. Limited parking but is is secure, be sure to reserve as there are only 4 spots.
- 5/5
Parker Guest House is beautiful! I loved the common areas, the courtyard was so pretty with all kinds of flowers. It was convenient to public transportation. The staff was friendly. I recommend to everyone and will definitely be staying there again when we come back to SF.
- 5/5
Parker Guest House is beautiful! I loved the common areas, the courtyard was so pretty with all kinds of flowers. Our room was perfect with a king bed and attached bathroom. It was convenient to public transportation. The staff was friendly. I recommend to everyone and will definitely be staying there again when we come back to SF.
- 4/5
Parking nearly impossible.
- 4/5
The bouquet was beautiful although the hydrangea was wilted by the time we checked in. I thought the bed was too soft, but it was perfect for my wife. The garden was beautiful. Only complaint was the voices/noises seeming to come from beneath the closet or through the walls of room 26.
- 4/5
We stayed at the Parker House a few years ago and had a very positive experience. We were happy to return and see the place is still airy, clean and friendly. There are not many nice places to stay in the area. The only downside is that we got a basement room, which was dark and a bit loud (could hear noise from lobby) but staff reassured us we will get an upstairs room next time.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
think they may have a parking area.
- 5/5
Lovely property. Great place to chill and escape from the…
- 5/5
The staff went over and beyond! Great service! Highly recommend this place to anyone.
- 5/5
Coming off a three-day road trip, staying at the Parker Guest House felt like a home away from home. An immediate warmth embraced us as we entered the property. Thanks to the fireplace and warm reception.Text communication ahead of our stay was polite and accommodating of our needs based on arrival time. The room was clean, the bedding had a nice thread count, and the mattress was super comfortable. Breakfast consisted of many healthy options and the kitchen area was bright with plentiful seating. I would 100% stay at The Parker Guest House again.
- 5/5
Felt well taken care of.
- 5/5
Super friendly staff, great location, awesome outdoor space.
- 5/5
Very quaint property with incredible attentive staff. Lots places to enjoy on the property, sitting room with a fireplace, outdoor patios. Thank you so much!
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay. Very accessible to everything. Staff was nice and helpful. We will definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Parker Guest House is a lovely place to stay.
- 4/5
The best staff. Feels like you’re staying in your friend’s comfy guest room. I would go back because of the staff who are excellent. The only issue is climate control and noise. No A/C or central heating so you have to open and close the windows to get the temperature comfortable and then the noise from the street gets to be a lot.
- 5/5
Beautiful small bed and breakfast with charming living room and breakfast room. We shall be back. Would recommend highly for others
- 5/5
The breakfast is wonderful and great quality food. This is a good option for folks who want to be in a less intense area of the city but still walkable distance to great areas for dinning and exploring. We will definitely be coming back!
- 5/5
Very helpful proprietors, nice room, good food and amenities.
- 5/5
Lots of nice amenities.
- 5/5
Quintessential San Francisco bed and breakfast experience.
- 5/5
Charming, convenient, affordable, beautiful Victorian home. Excellent staff and value! Beautiful gardens.
- 5/5
Carl was so very helpful when checking us in and with breakfast. He was a delight. Our room was small, but charming and it was ADA accessible which was necessary for one of our party. It was a bit tricky for her to turn her wheelchair to go down the ramp in the tight space. Also, the only way to enter the property in a wheelchair is through the parking lot because of stairs in the front. But overall, we loved our stay at the Parker Guest House and we plan on staying again.
- 5/5
We really loved the Parker Guest House. The property is beautiful, the room was spacious and elegant, and there were many small details that showed genuine care and attention to make the stay pleasurable and memorable. The staff was warm and not intrusive. Staying at this property helped make our weekend visit to San Francisco one of the best of all time. We definitely will be happy to return and stay here again.
- 5/5
This was a great find, close to my sons apartment.
- 5/5
Beautiful property, comfortable room, very kind staff. Don’t miss breakfast!
- 5/5
Free breakfast each morning was great! They also have a wine tasting at 5:30 pm. Staff were super friendly. Parking requires a reservation which wasn’t clear to us having booked through Expedia.
- 5/5
This is an oasis at the border of the Castro district. Breathtaking garden, very comfortable bed. I loved the decor and the healthy breakfast. Both store managers were super nice. I will stay here again!
- 5/5
Loved our stay at Parker Guest House! What a beautiful, sweet place. The staff and manager were also wonderful. Very helpful for our trip planning and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and the property charming and vintage. We will be back for sure!
- 5/5
The Parker Guest House was the perfect place for our week getaway. The staff was attentive, kind, and professional. The rooms were very nice and clean. We will definitely be returning!
- 5/5
We have stayed at the Parker House several times and each stay has been such a pleasure. It's lovingly maintained, has beautiful grounds & common areas, a nice light breakfast, and an enjoyable daily "wine o'clock". Love the feel of both of the lovely homes on this property.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay at a charming property!
- 5/5
Everything was. Great for my guests
- 4/5
I liked the continental breakfast. There is bread, mini muffins, and cut fruit. The hotel is very secure. We had to push a button to get in. The clerk came down the steps and let us in. The housekeeping is very minimal. Guests have to ask for towels or extra toilet paper. It is a great place to stay overall. Good neighborhood. The staff is helpful.
- 5/5
I had read all of the great reviews for Parker Guest House and had high expectations (so much so that we booked a whole two week stay!) Needless to say, it exceeded even those expectations. We had the most fantastic time. The rooms are great, staff are lovely, gardens are beautiful and it's really well connected if you need to get in to town. Also nice parks nearby, and lots of places to eat and drink. If we're ever in SF again, we'll be back.
- 5/5
We loved the garden and everything else.
- 5/5
Was a lovely place in a beautiful space. Exactly what you’d expect as a guest house in the Castro with very accomodating and lovely staff.
- 5/5
Very impressive breakfast spread. My room in the back of the house was quiet and overlooked a lush landscaped garden.
- 5/5
Charming place with large, comfortable room and lovely sitting rooms, etc. Nice variety at the continental breakfast and great to have wine and cheese in the evenings. A definite winner and we look forward to staying there on our next SF visit.
- 5/5
Second time staying at this lovely place. This is our favorite hotel to stay at when we visit.
- 5/5
This is a charming and lovely B and B with nice sunny rooms and beautiful gardens. I give it high praise.
- 5/5
Very charming property, friendly and hospitable staff. Incredible location. Will definitely be back.
- 5/5
Charming bed and breakfast with warm hospitality. Loved the common areas & beautiful outside garden & seating.
- 5/5
Parker House is warm and welcoming. We enjoyed talking to the other guests. Hot cider in the kitchen greeted us on our late arrival-- a lovely touch! Hope to return.
- 5/5
This was an amazing stay! Everything was perfect. Can’t wait to come back.
- 5/5
Beautiful spot in a great neighborhood. Loved the breakfast each day and chatting with fellow guests, the room was great, the garden especially was lovely. Far and away exceeded my expectations! Will definitely stay again if I’m in San Francisco.
- 4/5
Lovely facility, friendly staff, beautiful courtyard, and great location. Perfect place for a weekend in the city.
- 3/5
Room cleaning is offered on request, but they did not specify this as check in time so our room was not cleaned. Hospitable staff, beautiful gardens, nice breakfast selection.
- 4/5
Lovely property. The only negative is that it has a many stairs which if you have mobility issues, is a challenge.
- 5/5
They had a ton of info for tourists to help you out if you went into San Francisco without a plan
- 5/5
The property is wonderful and the staff are amazing. The rooms with shared bathrooms are noisy because of the street cars. But the rest of the rooms are wonderful. This was our second stay here and it was like coming home.
- 5/5
My second stay here and I hope to be back next year. Thank you for the hospitality!
- 5/5
Such amazing staff and grounds definitely will go back.
- 4/5
Our arrival was slightly disconcerting as no-one answered the bell at the street entrance. We had requested a possible late check-in as we were flying into SFO from the UK and didn't know if we would be delayed in immigration - we weren't. So perhaps they weren't expecting us at that time. We eventually got in and were warmly welcomed. Our rooms for both stays were spacious and comfortable. One was upstairs, the other downstairs from the lobby level. There was a pleasant lounge area containing a grand piano and the furnishings are in keeping with the Victorian style of the house. There was an excellent breakfast buffet with some tables overlooking the well maintained garden - or you could sit outside and enjoy the peacefull air in the middle of the city.
- 5/5
Charming and friendly and comfortable, with gorgeous gardens to look out at or sit in with tea / wine / breakfast. Tricky if you have mobility issues (lots of stairs from area to area) but friendly, accommodating staff probably know what to do to make that easier.
- 5/5
Staff was so gracious! The continental breakfast was beyond our expectations and we got free cognac. Beautiful property. Will be back!
- 5/5
It’s a beautiful property
- 5/5
We stayed at Parker Guest House for four nights during our mini-honeymoon to San Francisco, and couldn't have been more pleased with the property! The staff is really friendly and we had no problems getting checked in and settled. Our room was clean and a good size, and they left us a little treat in our room to help us celebrate which was so thoughtful! The property is located close to transit and walkable to the main Castro area, but it isn't too noisy. The gardens are absolutely stunning with lots of seating outside - we were happy to take advantage of them in between excursions to see the city! The continental breakfast was great with lots of options, and the wine and cheese hour was really lovely as well. We were so happy we stayed here and would absolutely do so again on a return trip to San Francisco.
- 5/5
The only thing I was disappointed by was that it is not so much of an LGBT guesthouse (I think it used to be) but they also didn't advertise themselves as such, so it was my mistake to assume. They definitely are LGBTQ friendly but there is no flag or any gay symbols/art etc, and there were many straight guests. Would stay again anyways! Thanks!
- 5/5
Lovely property and staff
- 5/5
Such a cute place and the staff is amazing.
- 5/5
Comfiest bed I’ve slept in while traveling for a very long time! Definitely coming back here!
- 5/5
I was so impressed by this place. The staff could not - absolutely could not - be any more helpful or friendly. And they have wonderful attention to detail throughout the place, with fresh flowers, spotless cleaning, thoughtful touches like brandy in the living room, and a superb breakfast. Great location, too, and the common areas are wonderful to spend time in, including a beautiful backyard. I had a room with a bathroom down the hallway, which initially was a small concern, but it turned out totally fine, only I had a key to it. I’ll definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Muni J Line out the door on Church St. Delores Park two blocks away. Great staff, interesting guests, great comfy room, and secure. Manager let us park our car in the garage. Parking was $28 extra. Quiet and serene grounds. Substantial continental breakfast. Wine social was a nice touch. Our new go to place when we visit the city.
- 5/5
Great area, great breakfast, our place to go to in SF
- 5/5
Our experience at Parker Guest House was perfect. This is the second time that we have stayed there and it will not be the last. The location is ideal, the staff is tremendous and the garden out back is splendid. This is a jewel in the middle of the city.
- 3/5
Room was small—no closet. Breakfast was average. Room cost was high.
- 5/5
One of the best B&Bs. Great location. Very kind and attentive staff, warm atmosphere, clean rooms and bathroom. Continental breakfast was nice and complimentary drinks were a plus. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Very clean, charming and friendly!
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff, very cozy place
