This is a budget hotel. The room was basic but clean. Nice shower. Great location. Very steep stairs. I would stay again if on a budget as good value for money.

My room (310) was above the alleyway, which was quite active (noisy AF) throughout the night on both nights of my visit. I understand that that’s part of the experience, and I could’ve closed the window but it was a bit warm during my stay and fresh air was necessary.

Perfect location closer to Bart station, mission St, everything. My new perfect option if I need a hotel

This is a budget hotel, bare bones. It was clean and in a great location for where we wanted to be. Just steps away from many resteraunts and entertainment venues. Cheap, clean, and no frills. The place is run down. For the price it is a good value. We did not spend much time in the hotel, so it worked well for us. It was clean, and all we needed.

Friendly and approachable staff. Room was clean and tide. Clean towels pretty much every day. Bed linen was changed every couple of days. This is a decent hotel. But for me, it's a great location! Less than a ten minutes walk from the BART station on 16th St and Mission. Restaurants, coffee shops, bars and entertainment are close by on Valencia. The 22 bus stop on the corner of 16th St. runs up and down Fillmore. Bus connections on Fillmore can get you to Haight Ashbury/Golden Gate Park. Ocean Beach/Sutro Baths and the Golden Gate Bridge. So, the Hotel Sunrise provides a comfortable stay with great accessibility to the city. Nothing!

Very helpful and let us leave our luggage with the staff until we could check in!

It was clean and that is important. Everything worked and as mentioned in many of the comments, it is in a great location if you like to stay in the mission. My room (310) was above the alleyway, which was quite active (noisy AF) throughout the night on both nights of my visit. I understand that that’s part of the experience, and I could’ve closed the window but it was a bit warm during my stay and fresh air was necessary.

Quick and easy stay. Will stay again.
- 3/5
It took me a while to figure out the toilet and TV but this place is super convenient to a lot of cool places, so I didn't let it bother me much.
- 3/5
Convenient location near shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly. The room and bedding looked shabby and dusty and the tv and fan didn’t work. I could live with that, but then I found several ticks in the room. When I tried to tell the staff the next morning during check out, they just seemed to blow it off and said the room would be cleaned. I wasn’t trying to complain, but if there’s a chance of a bug problem, I thought they should be aware.

Great location for The Mission District. Basic but good value.
- 3/5
Price was good Very noisy unable to sleep
- 4/5
I really liked my room! It was small, which was perfect for me as a solo traveler. Very comfy place to lay my head for a couple nights. Another thing was staying a mere two doors away from Venga Emapanadas ??! And this was very easy to get to from SFO- a single BART ride away! The only thing I didn't love was that my bathroom fan didn't seem to be working; not too problematic, as the window in the room opened, so at least I could let out the steam from the shower.
- 4.5/5
The hotel is in the heart of Mission, very close to everything. The toiletries in the room were very small

This hotel is showing it's age.
- 2.5/5
Nice little cafe next door. No reception area. Pictures of the laundry department on the profile, yet none to be seen.
- 5/5
Great location with a lot of places to visit close by. Only 2 blocks from BART, so getting the hotel from the airport was very easy. The room was clean as was the hotel. Only issue was the alley behind my room was noisy. But that is to be expected in a city. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs.
- 3/5
It was a doable hotel, but very bare bones. Bed, functional shower, clean sheets. Great if you want a budget hotel
- 3/5
It was fine for a one night stay. It’s like a mini Mexico room. You do have to go up stairs to get to your room. Our sheets had stains on them minus one star. Even with all the lights on it was too dark in there.
- 5/5
Great location and value.
- 4.5/5
I loved the location since it was right on Valencia and mission with great restaurants nothing
- 4/5
I loved the location of the hotel and how clean it was No window view
- 5/5
No laundry. As for the area, The16th street, west side of Valencia is good. I ride Bus 22, dropped at half block away with no problem. Valencia itself is a busy street with lots of nice store and restaurants. There are bum 1 or 2, but it is safe, I walked at 9 pm & it was fine. My favorite eatery is Sunflower, an authentic & cheap Vietnamese cafe, very delicious. The not so good area is the east side of Valencia, on 16th street, Union Street & the Bart station itself. But on the day time I can walk from the hotel to that trendy Dandelion chocolate factory. Don't forget to bring your credit card (or $100 cash) for damage deposit.
- 4/5
Listing said hair dryers were included, and there was not one in my room.
- 4/5
Hotel was safe and clean, it's no frills, but that makes sense being cheap for the city. Just know that if you have a car you will have to find a parking garage.

- 3/5
Bed was uncomfortable, comforter was ripped and burnt, but the place was safe and clean
- 2/5
Horrible room, the positive point is that the room was clean except for the bed cover with a footprint on it. The walls were thin and I had a room to the road, it was terribly noisy. Fortunately I had some earplugs with me otherwise I would’ve not been able to sleep.
- 5/5
Always stay here when in town. So convenient and easy, safe and clean. Unbeatable location, staff is helpful.
- 4/5
Nice location during the day and close to the BART station. Our Waymo dropped us off about two blocks away in the early hours, and it was the scariest walk to the hotel with all the homeless around. I didn’t feel unsafe during the day, though. There are no elevators, but the stairs aren’t bad. The room is small but clean. The bed felt firm, yet I slept really well. Overall, it’s a good, affordable place to stay if you just need a place to sleep.

Sextant coffee good place

Great place to stay in the heart of the Mission District. Spartan accomodations but excellent. Location is amazing. Dining options are limitless and it is so close to public transportation.

Bien 👍 no me puedo quejar
- 4/5
Great for a 1 or 2 night stay! I think some of the reviews are old news - the owner has clearly made a lot of effort to improve everything, and I didn’t have any of the troubles found in those reviews. Yes it’s a small room, no A/C but a great fan and with the cool SF air it was fine. It’s quaint (queen+private bathroom) and a great value. Yeah Valencia St is loud but that’s SF for ya. I’d recommend it for a quick stop. The gentleman at the front was courteous and promptly available. Just pay the extra few bucks for the private bathroom. Nice job Sunrise thank you - we’ll be back
- 4/5
Bare bones necessity spot within walking distance to action packed area. The mattress was SUPER comfortable. Enough space to crash out. Cool enough with fan going but consider the time of year you book as there's no central AC. Room service was strange. Cleaned bathroom and put out new towels, but didn't make the bed. Also didn't like they left the window open as that's a security concern though I faced the street. Microwave and mini fridge were great and the wardrobe was great to organize luggage and clothing. Lots of sink space but could use a shower organizer to hold items and I didn't have a towel rack. TV channels are limited and grainy but I don't watch TV much. Overall, decent for the cost, location and needs. I'd book again as I had no issues for the stay.
- 1/5
Otherwise the hotel is more akin a 1 star property. The location is in a rough part of town, and the front door is unlocked all day and night, often without anyone at reception in the late hours to check who can come in and out. The room itself was tiny, basic cleanliness, but my bed spreader had a huge stain and holes in it, and there was dirt within the sheets. The room was hot (26c) when I got in at 10:30pm, even though the only one window was half open and it was a cool 16c outside. There is a fan provided, but it's very noisy. The window has wood shutter blinds on the inside, so if you want the window open for cooling, you can't close any visibility to the building immediately next door, thus no privacy. The bed was insanely hard, it felt like the mattress was only an inch thick. "Reception" (small booth with window) staff was friendly and courteous, but that's where the positives really ended. Again, happy they refunded the nights I didn't stay, but my advice is until they seriously install proper ventilation in the rooms, clean up the furnishings, get the cleaning under control, and have proper night time security, AVOID THIS PLACE.
- 3/5
Acceptable for a quick stay especially to be in walking distance to some of the residential neighborhoods to be close to friends and family. Condition is basic but clean. Street facing rooms are quite noisy.
- 1/5
Door lock would not engage, window had no lock and could be accessed from neighboring room, did not feel safe opening window so room was hot and stuffy. Noisy room neighbors....would not recommend
- 3/5
Ok it is what it is, it’s cheap and in cool area. It ain’t 5 star by a long way but but bed was good and bathroom ok . So if you just want place to crash it’s ok but don’t expect a honeymoon suite
- 3/5
Nothing wrong with the property based on price. We sort of knew what we were getting based on the price we paid. The location was centrally located to where we wanted to go but was not the best part of town. Also noisy on the street with the window open since there was no air conditioning. Again, price was it was fine, but you are getting nothing more than a bed to sleep.
- 2/5
You get what you pay for. It was cheap. Room has its own bathroom which is good. Room had mold on thr walls and fixtures missing. No ac but had a large fan. Glad i was on the third floor because there was a bum fight outside my window. Also many many homeless/drug addicts on the street. Street parking hard to find. Garage parking $40 ish dollars a night.
- 2/5
Take your business elsewhere.
- 3/5
This hotel is what it is. The most inexpensive place I could find in a somewhat decent neighborhood. The plus side is the close proximity to the BART station at 16th and Mission. Easy walk to the Judah line. Great coffee shop half a block north on Valencia. The place has character and is old school. Not a place to hang out and chill, but worked well as a place to sleep.
- 4/5
Came to town solo to attend the 60 year celebration of the Grateful Dead. Room was small but was a perfect home base for the weekend just to grab some sleep and shower. No frills but it got the job done. House keeping came and made the bed everyday which was nice
- 3/5
Third story, no elevator, im elderly.
- 4/5
When I checked in I could hear music coming from a very nearby apartment, building or room. I expected to have to use earbuds for sleeping. But during the late evening and over night it was surprisingly quiet. Didn’t even hear any pedestrian or vehicle noise on busy Valencia Street (room 303). The flush kit in the toilet needs attention… slow to fill and continuous running. I had to shut the water valve off to silence the running and to prevent wasting water
- 3/5
Fairly clean hotel (though it smelled of cheap disinfectant). Check-in was easy but the proprietor was not particularly friendly (brusque, maybe). For the price, it was a good deal.
- 5/5
I have stayed at Hotel Sunrise on several occasions and for a hotel under $100 per night in San Francisco, it can’t be beat. The location is relatively safe and highly walkable with many bars, restaurants, cafes, food stores within a half mile radius. The 16th street BART station is a 5 mins walk away. You get your own private bathroom, which is not a given at other hotels in this price range. The room is very basic and small but importantly it is clean with daily housekeeping service, adequate clean towels and toiletries, a small microwave and fridge (again unusual for a hotel in this price range), and a little coffee machine. Staff are friendly. My only complaints are 1) the building is old with thin walls and the surrounding area can get lively at nights, so depending where your room is, or if you have loud guests next door to you, it can be a little noisy; 2) no elevator but it’s only 3 floors, still if you’re on the 3rd floor you have to lug your luggage up stairs and 3) the TV in tge room is functional and even includes HBO but unfortunately it’s not a Smart TV so you can’t use your Netflix account. Still, overall this hotel is excellent vakue for the money
- 5/5
I've been coming here for many years for my layover for international travels. Very safe and clean
- 4/5
The room was clean and we had no major issues during our stay. At night, there is a lot of noise from nearby bars. The location is close to a lot of great restaurants, a BART station, and the Mission Dolores park. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, was upgraded to a bigger room, cleaning of room everyday by hotel staff. 16th street Bart station area has shady people around even though there is Police around..
- 4/5
My only complaint is the mold on the bathroom ceiling.
- 4/5
The perfect place to stay if you're planning to be in the Mission District. It's kinda loud outside at night and too early in the morning, but the cost and location make up for it.
- 1/5
The building smelled weird and you can hear all the noises around.
- 3/5
Property was fair for the price in the area. The hotel is old and needs some work but you get what you pay for. If you don't mind this than the area is the trade off, with dining, shopping and a hip vibe and seems pretty safe.
- 5/5
Nice no frills place to crash in the mission. Stayed with gf for one night. It was clean, quiet and safe. Lots to do around here. I'd stay away from the alley nearby though.
- 5/5
Inexpensive and clean. Nice service. Walking distance to Dalores Park. Amazing empanada place next door!
- 5/5
You get what you pay for. For the price, the room has everything I need, including a good fridge, microwave, and TV. Too bad the hairdryer in my room doesn’t work. The heater works great for cold nights. There’s no elevator, but it’s acceptable for a three-story hotel. It’s just a five-minute walk to all transportation. A very basic hotel, but all the facilities are functional.
- 1/5
Very unsafe area, staff were being extremely rude, I checked out after one night and they refused to refund me for the rest of the nights I booked.
- 5/5
I need a late check in my flight was canceled Im coming in late. thanks
- 2/5
TV did not work even after raising the issue. I knew it was not a top end hotel when I booked the trip. It fit my needs, clean respectable bed and hot shower.
- 3/5
Decent, clean affordable hotel in busy neighborhood. The room had a mini fridge, microwave and 1-cup coffee maker. Tiny bathroom, but everything worked. Neighborhood is noisy and some of the guests were too at times. Conveniently close to transit and restaurants, small grocery stores etc. Though the building is old it had fresh paint, efforts being made to keep it up. Staff was friendly but the person you need may not be there when you need something. We asked for an extra pillow and first it was “have to ask the manager “ and then “the housekeeper isn’t here”. So don’t expect anything extra, but if you just want a basic place to sleep this is fine.
- 4/5
A little noisy and smell of sewer or something
- 5/5
Enjoyed the vintage ambience.
- 4/5
Nearby street is dirty
- 1/5
Rude host. Talks to you if you’re dumb and unimportant with disrespectful hand gestures. I didn’t appreciate non of that attitude so I gave him a hand gesture back. He snapped and refused to talk it over. If that upset him; what made him think that his behavior was acceptable?
- 4/5
The two employees that worked hard to make our stay pleasant, was Sammy at the front desk and Paula the cleaning lady.
- 3/5
It’s a good place to stay for a night. The area is not the greatest, woke up to yelling outside around 3am but again, not a big deal if I’m just there for one night and that is not the fault of the hotel. The place did smell a little vinegar-y and the room was a little outdated. Cleanliness was iffy- there was a loose hair in the shower and the floor under the bed was dusty. But again, for one night it did the job of having somewhere to sleep.
- 5/5
This place was great and the staff was really nice. Would come back again another time to stay.
- 5/5
The staff was very accommodating and allowed a late check out for me. This hotel is a 100 year old, wood frame building, it is not fancy but it is well maintained and kept clean. I appreciated it for its cleanliness and price.
- 4/5
Everything was okay according what you pay. It was really helpful during an unexpected event in my building. It would be great more safety in the main entrance. It seemed to me that anyone could get in. Also it would be fantastic to conduct some rules like keep quite at night time. One of the rooms in front to my window had loud music at midnight.
- 5/5
If you need a safe, convenient, inexpensive place, Hotel Sunrise is a great choice.
- 3/5
Meh
- 2/5
To be fair I only looked at the price and location of this hotel which were as expected. Most hotels will grant an early check in. I couldn’t even store my bag so I had to walk around the city for 3 hours with luggage. The 2nd and last time I saw the lone desk clerk out of my 4 day stay was at check in. I stood outside the front door at 2am calling the hotel for 10 minutes because no one was at the desk and, no one informed me that there’s a button that needs to be pressed to access the building. There is no AC in the place and the room was unbearably hot. The shower runs only extremely hot or extremely cold and the bars of soap they leave disintegrate when you open the package. Terrible to non existent service , improperly functioning shower, and zero amenities are reasons I would not book at hotel again.
- 4/5
We always like staying here! For the price it’s comfortable and clean
- 3/5
Nice little hotel. There was nothing wrong with the hotel, it was what was going on outside that made for a miserable experience. Loud music from people who were walking by. Seemed like they were right under our window. This went on past midnight. About 3 in the morning a woman starts yelling at her date. Same words over and over, i didnt hit your car. This lasted about 15 minutes. I guess her date wasnt paying attention to her so she proceeds to honk the horn for another 10 minutes. At this point i was wide awake and said to myelf, next ime i'll ask for a room on the back side away from the sidewalk.
- 3/5
Well if im telling the truth (1) its not handicap friendly thank got i was on the 2 floor but i really had a hard time climbing the stairs. (2) the bed was not all that everything i move around it make a nose. (3) i was the lucky one who had a window next to coffee shop and man there is a speaker next to my window and the music got turn off at 11pm 😞😓😩. (4) the room its self was good not the bed. That all im going to say
- 4/5
Because I had a reservation I was able to check an hour early
- 2/5
Location is good the building is old. The linens did not smell clean. The shower was difficult to use as the hardware did not seem to fit with the shower.
- 5/5
I stayed here many time over the years. Always found it great place to stay while I'm in San Francisco
- 3/5
Surly, rude. if you can go without interacting with the staff the small rooms are clean enough and very good value for money, considering the neighborhood.
- 1/5
I was unaware of the $100 Security Key Deposit so when I refused to pay as I was under the impression that I was being ripped off as I did not believe I wound get the deposit back and paid for a different Hotel for the two nights. I now understand I had made the error and forfeit one nights rental payment as a no-show.
- 4/5
Very Basic, Very Affordable, well worth the money.
- 5/5
Been here many times. Staff always helpful. Transportation and restaurants nearby.
- 4/5
So if you’re on a budget and you need to stay in the mission, this place is fine. It’s clean and the staff is very nice. The shower is great and everything works. There are cracks in the walls and the bed linens are not fancy but this is not a fancy place. It’s fine for a solo person just a couple days.
- 5/5
The place is close to transportation and Restaurants also grocery shopping
- 5/5
Walking distance to music venue we where attendjng public transportation just around the corner from our room.
- 3/5
Saw mice running around inside entrance. TV did not work well. Reported it to manager and was not properly resolved. My advice is to only stay here if you are on a tight budget.
- 3/5
The hotel is in one of San Francisco's unique neighborhoods, just a few hundred feet from the original Mission San Francisco de Asís (aka Mission Dolores) and a five minute walk to the BART station, where many unusual characters and homeless people congregate (I found them all to be harmless and many friendly). Many good restaurants nearby. The hotel stairwells and corridors are not kept clean or updated (i.e. vacuumed or painted) when needed, but the room was clean although quite compact. Toiletries provided were minimal (shampoo and bar soap), but that was ok. There is a small refrigerator, microwave, and wall mounted TV but no safe, so I carried my camera, passport, and laptop with me when I went out. The manager was very responsive when I complained about noise in an adjoining room at midnight (There are no phones in the rooms so I had to go to the night counter). The manager was kind to let me check in an hour early, which I appreciated. All in all, it was a pleasant stay but I was charged $20 more than what was shown on the Expedia check in page, making the stay cost more money than the value. I am not pleased about that.
- 3/5
The location was good and the property was about as expected and decently priced. However, my toilet got stopped up on the second day. They blamed me for it even though toilet water leaked into the shower and it took them over a day to resolve. Fortunately, they moved me to a different room after half a day when I requested it. The second room worked out fine. The first room had pre-existing plumbing problems.
- 5/5
Comfortable one-night stay at this centrally located hotel, which was clean and well kept. Only disadvantage is that there is a lot of street noise.
- 1/5
I reserved a room and paid for it on here. Ashen I got to the hotel, they didn’t let me check in because I didn’t have a credit card to pay them with. Mind you, i offered both cash and my Wells Fargo debit card with had over $8,000 in the account at the time, but they insisted it be a credit card only. They refused to let me check in and made me leave. The only, and I mean, only, good thing about this hotel is that the guy who didn’t let me check in didn’t give me a hard time about refunding my money. At least he did that. Well, actually, I don’t know if he did or not, I haven’t checked, but he said he was going to. Otherwise, though, fudge this place! I heard it got bedbugs.
- 5/5
Was really great for the price, there’s a parking garage around the corner but it got full quickly so there’s also lots nearby that my car was parked safely overnight. The owner was nice, he gave us a room with a really nice street view, right above the empanada place so our room smelled really good. Really loved the location, was a close walk to the Castro and in such a convenient location in the mission. Will definitely stay here again when on a budget. Only weird thing was our room was slanted, which was a mind trip when we first got there.
- 4/5
Area is a little rough for my comfort but since hubby was with me, I managed my anxiety about it.
- 4/5
Pros: Low cost, walkable distance to a lot of places, and quick check-in from my experience. Cons: You can hear all the neighbors through the walls, the door of the room I stayed in had to be pushed/pulled hard for the latch to click. I definitely felt like the room was very sketchy when I first entered it. Eventually warmed up to it overtime. Wouldn't mind coming back again, but only if I'm traveling solo.

Honestly, was nowhere near as bad as people were saying. Even the area. Sure I wouldn’t say it’s SUPER SAFE, but definitely wouldn’t say I felt constantly in danger. Not at all! I feel like people really dehumanize the homeless/mentally ill. Now I wouldn’t say go around walking at night. I did & felt semi safe-ish. Some sketch forsure but overall ok. I just personally didn’t want to look for trouble. Still, for the price not terrible. I didn’t have a car tho so mileage may vary. And the hotel itself is great! Clean, and basic. The staff just checked me in & out. That’s it. Which I honestly appreciate lol I don’t need help with my bags or any of that jazz. Just need my key & we’re good to go. Plus a personal shower & toilet??? For the price??? In SF??? It’s Heaven on Earth. Just an fyi, it’s very very small (the bathroom). But even for a big guy like myself it was plenty of space. But a really big guy let’s say 400 pounds plus, it maybe an issue. Or for older folks. There’s no elevator which I didn’t care about, but just an fyi for the older or heavier crowds. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Just don’t be an ahole to the staff, and just use this as a space to sleep. It’s as simple as that. For the price it’s plenty!

I was in town for a festival, and this was one of the cheapest options available that had its own bathroom. Not that I had sky high expectations coming in, but it didn’t disappoint. The room really needed to be dusted and/or vacuumed, but was otherwise fairly clean and well kept. It is noisy, so I do recommend investing in some earplugs, but the area is relatively safe. Overall, I enjoyed my stay

Room was very hot even with a fan during the afternoon okay at night. Walls are thin.

There a sign on the hotel. That's it's not safe for an earthquake because it hasn't been retrofit for earthquake

Rude stuff and bad management, the shower was not working and no water came through also noisy area with bad smell of spices inside tge hotel , no guests after 9 pm … don’t go there anymore….. Bad Indian management with curry smell

Good value for the price, room is tiny but clean and you get a private bathroom, little coffee maker, tv, fridge and microwave so no complaints. Staff is friendly, immediate area has a ton of eating options. Only real complaint is that building is older with thin walls. If your neighbors are loud, you will hear them. Can also hear outside noise which is bustling on Friday’s, Saturdays. Would stay again

Was given an upgrade room overlooking the street. Enjoyed the 7 days. I will do it again. Awesome area great for food and transportation.

This was a wonderful, inexpensive little hotel - very clean and convenient! It's not high-end and there are no frills, but if you're looking for a low-priced place to sleep in a convenient central location in San Francisco, this is it. The rooms are very small but very clean - would definitely recommend to anyone who's here to see and do things in San Francisco and isn't planning to spend a ton of time hanging around the hotel.

Very convenient to the lively neighborhood on Valencia. Great restaurants nearby. Hotel is clean with good amenities. Our room overlooked the street and, while, bright and sunny, on a Saturday night, it was very noisy late into the night. Only disappointment: we asked several staff for extra pillows and eventually learned we couldn’t get them. Excellent garage parking around the corner.

Wanted my room cleaned on Sunday and I wanted to wash my laundry. No room service and was not able to do laundry until 8: o’clock pm. Because housecleaning was using the laundry room. Quite at night upper staircase is small but overall good area for public transportation and restaurants. Room is less than $80 can’t beat the price. Perfect for one person. Stayed here for 8 days for business.

I was comfortable there. The bed was nice, no dips or noise. Hot was almost instantly. Bedding and sheets were in great shape along with nice towels but they ran a bit small. Also I didn’t receive wash cloths which was a downer but i was was there only one night. The front guy was ok I told him I didn’t get WC so don’t charge me please. Didn’t say anything but oh that fine.

I was in a bit of a jam and needed to print something out last minute before and interview the morning of my check out, and the kind man at the front desk helped me out and printed what I needed. All interactions with other staff were also very pleasant. There are some really good eats in this neighborhood as a plus!

Small room, noisy, no lift,

Convenient transportation, blocks from BART station. Lots of restaurant choices in the neighbourhood. Noisy on street at night, must close windows, and there is no air conditioning.

Nothing

This is an old building. It is not fancy. It does appear to be lovingly maintained and is a very fair price. I was able to get to where I was going easily due to the BART Station around the block and frequent buses along 16th.

You pay for what you get!..... The noise was horrible you can hear the homeless fighting and yelling outside every night. Great location close to everything in the city.

The hotel was OK. The third floor was very clean. The area around the hotel was interesting, but at night there are a lot of people. The staff was friendly.

The bed could have been more comfortable, the shower knob was extremely difficult to use, very noisy with the window open but couldn’t close it because it is stuffy in the room with it open. Staff was quiet. You get what you pay for I guess. Better than some places I’ve been.

In another year or two we will need to stay where there is an elevator.

Horrible Hotel. Dirty, terrible service and no lights in the bathroom
- 3/5
Staff were helpful and room was clean though an odd smell through most of the building. Didn't have issues but did not feel entirely safe in the building and general area at times so likely would not stay again.

Mattress could be improved a bit but still clean. Great access to everywhere in SF and for this price it's a pretty decent place

TERRIBLE...room wasn't ready, had to wait an hour then realized the deadbolt didn't work and my room could be accessed from a neighboring room thru my broken window screen. Insisted on another room, was given a room the size of a walkin closet, difficult to move around in there, small screen tv with about 15 BASIC channels half of which were news channels, tiny little bathroom with no sink, it was in the main room, would NOT recommend.

Prime location if you’re trying to see a lot of the city

Good location in the Mission district on Valencia street. Perfect for exploring and surrounded by plenty of places to eat and socialise.

A bit tired. Met my needs and budget. Loud at night at the windows arent well sealed/soundproofed.

They never allowed me to check in. I feel insulted with the excuse i was given as to why? Why was i forced to walk around in the cold? Aiso although my friend was hired a night watch neither he nor i were allowed to keep my reservation with the hotel. Although this was not the first time that i was.jerked by a 'business owner' here in san francjsco ca however as 51 year old. Sf native i am not only insulted.....i am kinda hurt. I just want to know 'where do they do that at!'
