Breakfast was ok
- 5/5
Our stay was comfortable and got a room on the first floor close to the exit. This worked out great for us; our early check-in request was also honored. Room was clean and well-appointed to our liking for this short stay.

Property looks like a nursing home that hasn’t been updated since the 90’s.

Rooms were clean and staff excellent

They over charged my credit card by $110. It was a total pain trying to get the money back

Decent hotel. Not amazing but not bad. Breakfast was ok. Nothing was bad but not great. Smelled like weed every night in the halls.
- 5/5
Very nice place. Everyone was friendly and kind. Looking forward to staying there again.

I chose to pay at property when I made my reservation upon arrival and was charged the day before. I had a water leak in the bathroom, I told reception sfaff about this and was told it would be fixed. In the end this was not addressed. The rooms were not cleaned (even when told it would be every 2 days, we stayed 3 days). We explicitly asked for the room to be cleaned as well. Overall, poor sevice.

Have enjoyed this residence inn many times. This stay was as expected. Staff is friendly and helpful especially at the front desk.
- 4/5
The space of the unit was nice! The breakfast also was very nice. I enjoyed the fresh oatmeal and many toppings, including the cinnamon. I would like it more if it didn’t have the popcorn ceiling. Some upgrades to the building to make it more modern would be nice for the price. Other than that, great stay!
- 4/5
Would’ve loved a better price due to hurricane evacuation. Would’ve liked an earlier check in due to hurricane evacuation. Would’ve loved a later check out due to airline rescheduling due to hurricane evacuations. Was there four days and nobody cleaned our room. Also their coffee is gross. Way too strong like mud! The best part was Carey the desk lady.

Me encanto por ser muy calladito y tranquilo y el staff muy agradable.

Good hotel
- 5/5
Beautiful property. Clean and quiet. Well run and staffed with enthusiastic friendly people.
- 5/5
The front desk staff was very rude the whole time and wasn’t willing to help. Probably won’t go back to this property as on that same street have many hotels. When I stay in a hotel I really look for good customer service.
- 5/5
She was wonderful. Room was ideal for our stay. In my opinion, better than a typical hotel because of the kitchen accessibility. However, breakfast in morning prevented us from using😃. Think I just found my new choice when traveling.
- 1/5
Worst front desk check in experience ever. Person did not know how to use the computer. Probably also the worst Residence Inn ever as well.

Great suit room! We were given a Handicap accesible one: 113, first floor. Hotel is in a safe area. Very clean overall. Suit was perfect! Like a small one bedroom apartment. Loved the privacy of the room, (a door separates the room from the kitchen and couch area). Very quiet. Two TV's, spectacular, well stocked kitchen. Staff was friendly. Loved that the gym has a filtered water dispenser and you can refill your water bottles there. Pool is very small but it was clean. We didn't try the breakfast so I can't comment about it. Parking was free and a breeze. Wi-fi worked fine. Our room had the sink outside of the toilet/shower area; loved that. Shower had body wash/shampoo/conditioner dispensers. Overall we had a great one night stay and would recommend this place for the $135 rate that we paid on a Memorial Sunday weekend.
- 5/5
Excellent staff specially Judy at breakfast area.
- 2/5
This property is outdated. Really old. The rooms are gloomy and dark. The lighting is very limited. Rooms and hallways are very dark. The sofa bed was broken. This hotel is overpriced. I paid $300 for such a poor facility.
- 1/5
old and smelled like a bar in the room definitely was a smokers in the room disgusting and disappointing
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. Even though it was very close to the airport, it was quiet and peaceful
- 5/5
The front desk man was amazing. Very helpful and friendly . Overall nice and quiet and comfortable for business. However Inside of room smelled of mold and had trouble with allergies
- 5/5
The Front desk staff was amazing! Super nice and extremely helpful. Loved grilling out and enjoying our evening in the outside area
- 5/5
Staff very helpful and accommodating.

- 5/5
The property was very clean and the room was nice. The staff were very kind.
- 2.5/5
Way too noisy. This room should not be used. There are 2 large exhaust vents outside the window that go off and on routinely and are louder than keys taking off across the street. There were 2 maintenance items reported twice, only one was fixed.
- 5/5
Being a facilities manager i would get my employees a parking lot vacuum.. just saying
- 5/5
This place was great. The only complaints are that that the pillows suck (small and overly soft, no head/neck support) and the placement of light fixtures (& maybe bulb wattage) didn’t really provide adequate light. The staff was friendly helpful & great.

We’ve been long time clients of Residence Inn Marriott The Asst. Mgr Salina did not bother to listen to my concern as the TV wood panel dropped and hurt my leg. She just assumed that there was a note not to pull the panel. I t was a wood panel that was loose and not screwed. Luckily I was able to avoid it and just had a scraped skin and bruises.

Nice atmosphere, location and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Nice clean hotel.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff..
- 5/5
We showed up with our dog and everything went very smooth and we had a comfortable night.
- 5/5
Very nice, very friendly, very clean, very professional, and very secure!
- 3/5
Daytime front staff were good. Night time one’s not so much. Room was old but clean. Thin walls. I could hear others talking and TVs going. Breakfast was awful. Had to ask for sheets for couch pull out. They did bring them very quickly.
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Friendly and quiet atmosphere!
- 5/5
TV in living room had no power
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room cleaning could have been a little better, sand left on furnature, floors did not appear to be swept. Lots of leaves in the pool.
- 3/5
air conditioning unit noise
- 4/5
Service was good. The shower was good, and hot. The bed was comfy. Breakfast was adequate...as normal. Quiet. The only issue I had, and it was a big one...was the door did not lock. You could push it open, unless you were inside and had the safety latch on. So when I went to breakfast, or to get coffee, my things were not locked up. I told the front desk and they were going t address it.
- 5/5
Excellent staff, friendly and helpful. Great location. Clean rooms and facilities.
- 5/5
Great an spacious room
- 5/5
The Hotel itself was awesome! We got one of the rooms facing towards the University, so any large trucks passing by made a lot of noise. It is very convenient to be near the airport, but it's also VERY loud. Overall we enjoyed our stay ♥
- 5/5
This hotel is going to be our go to hotel every time we visit Sarasota. It was amazing. The bed was so comfortable, the room was extraordinarily clean, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. I love this hotel. Thank you so much for making our trip so wonderful.
- 5/5
Propert was clean and exactly as pictured on Expedia.
- 3/5
Liked the location across from SRQ. Still not doing daily housekeeping. Breakfast offering is one item per day.
- 5/5
Clean and secure.
- 4/5
The rooms are a little dated but overall fine for our stay. Location is close to the airport but noise from planes was not a problem. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
The staff and location was excellent. My only complaint was the cockroach found in the room upon entering. That kind of spoiled the evening due to not feeling comfortable. The lighting in the bathroom was flickering because the bulb needs to be changed. The stay was pleasant afterwards.
- 1/5
The toilet clogged 2 times and water came way out to the vanity area. The staff was rather snotty. I won’t stay there again.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and clean hotel.
- 4/5
My wife and I stayed here for three weeks while our nearby home was undergoing renovations. We liked the fact that we had a kitchen with full-sized appliances. This made eating our meals in the room easy and convenient, especially during this time of the pandemic. On the negative side, the hotel is apparently a home-away-from-home for lots of utility workers; it sometimes seemed that trucks of various types filled up half the parking lot.
- 4/5
Hotel was clean and the room was wonderful, but disappointed that they are using COVID as an excuse to not offer services they advertised for when other hotels in the area still offer the services. This was a higher priced hotel but we were fine with that because it advertised 2 items we were looking for (FREE breakfast buffet and a pool). Only stayed one night as a result. We were disappointed that they had closed the pool area before we checked in "due to COVID" when the website and signs posted on the property said it was open until 10pm. Also disappointed that they advertised a breakfast buffet but only had a grab and go bag with a muffin, orange and granola bar "due to COVID" while other hotels we stayed at in the area were serving hot breakfast buffets and large grab and go options. For this reason we did not stay longer.
- 2/5
Carpet was dirty, Air condition next to bed blowing cold air in your face, outdated decor, old elevator. To have the name Marriott associated with this place is a shame.
- 2/5
The room was ok, but the public areas were not. In general, the hotel needs overhaul. It's not up to the Marriott standards.
- 3/5
Breakfast was awful. The room was nice and spacious
- 5/5
Amazing trip, :)
- 5/5
Awesome clean place fresh friends are awesome everywhere
- 5/5
Was great stay but air conditioning was not blowing cold air . Otherwise great location to all walking .
- 5/5
More washers available
- 5/5
Very nice front desk and clean and nice room. Worth the money.
- 1/5
horrible
- 3/5
It was a disappointment.
- 4/5
The stay was good
- 4/5
Everything was nice but if someone traveling with kids you should not accommodate them close to laundry room and front to the pool area.
- 5/5
handicap I really appreciated the well equipped shower with grab bars and hand held shower head.
- 5/5
because I love the hotel and I can take my dog, very friendly staf
- 5/5
The elevator needs maintenance and the carpet need to be clean
- 5/5
The room was great. We liked the pool
- 3/5
The location and the facilities were good but housekeeping dropped the ball. Had not made up the room by 2pm. Asked at the front desk. It still took 3 more hours for someone to clean room. Shorted us on towels every day.
- 4/5
The TV could was not sufficiently visible from the couch and the bed as stated; the waste basket in the kitchen area was way to small; the A/C was very loud disturbing sleep; and the room was the last one on the top floor which made lots of walking to the elevator. What we liked was the full kitchen, the cleanliness and the layout of the room. We would recommend it.
- 5/5
Nice and clean, home away from home. Location is good.
- 5/5
I had a very pleasant stay at Residence Inn by Marriott Sarasota. The room was clean, staff was very helpful, and we had a great breakfast. The hotel has a nice pool and a firepit with lounges. We had a spacious room with a kitchenette, comprehensive of a full-size fridge and dishwasher. The only small inconvenience was the bathroom, located by the bedroom and not in a shared space: as we booked a suite, i would have preferred an independent walk to the bathroom for the guest sleeping in the sofa bed. But we overall had a very good time.
- 4/5
It is a place to be if one requires peace and quiet with minimum distraction
- 4/5
If there are any issues staff does their best to solve them quickly
- 3/5
Outside party made it difficult to sleep on second night. Housekeeping failed to freshen up room after first day.
- 5/5
Spotlessly clean, quiet and comfortable. Very pleasant staff. Woukd recommend.
- 2/5
They wake you every morning at 8 am and keep going all day. There are guys walking around the lobby and breakfast area in tool belts. They ripped up the carpet entering the elevator causing a trip hazard which my wife experienced hurting her knee. We tried escaping for a few hours by the pool but it was impossible with the noise from them doing work in the lot which is outside the pool area. We move the first day from the second to third but it made no difference. The sink in the kitchen had no hot water and they forgot to clean our room 1 day. They also left us no toilet paper. we had to use tissues till we got some The other funny thing is the room we had was already renovated. The quality of work was horrible. They had to be non union workers because that type of work was at best amateur. The caulking and tile work in the bathroom was bad. They should have been upfront and said something on there website. I took pictures in case they say it's false
- 3/5
The hotel is under refurbishment. Line for check in. Parking price so high. Room is good and comfortable bed.
- 1/5
highly disappointed
- 5/5
Centrally located between everything we wanted to do.
- 5/5
We love residence inns. Great rooms and lovely breakfast. Staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
Great stay here. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Walking distance to Sarasota Kennel Club/poker.
- 1/5
They over booked the hotel and gave my room to someone else
- 5/5
clean, comfy & too brief. We are Marriott Hotels customers & we try to stay in their properties whenever we can, since we can always count on good service, comfortable mattresses & pleasant surroundings.
- 4/5
It was great
- 2/5
A one bedroom suite and was downgraded to a suit Studio Suite because they said they were oversold and the rooms that are Reserve through a third party and not directly with the hotel or the first to be downgraded
- 5/5
We were very happy with this hotel-Located near the airport and about a ten minute ride to I 75-close to Tamiami trail and the Ringling Museum. staff was very helpful and professional.Room was large with kitchenette.Daily housekeeping was excellent-Good breakfast choices
- 5/5
I loved this hotel. Very nice and quite. Not too far from the beach and shopping areas too. I was actually able to cook a meal with my family and avoid expensive restaurants. Breakfast was very tasty and they had many selections which kept my younger children happy.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel and the continental breakfast was amazing
- 5/5
We had a wonderful time! The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and not overly crowded with furniture.
- 5/5
The motel was great but was in the wrong part of town for our needs.
- 4/5
Bed very hard, You only get top service if your a Platiuium or Silver member. When your staying for extended stay you must let housekeeping know when they can come in to give fresh towels. otherwise you never see a clean room. A perfect hotel for couples that have small dogs. but the hotel is kept clean. Scrambled eggs everyday for 7 days. French toast good. Close to downtown Sarasota.
- 5/5
could not have asked for anything more
- 5/5
the staff was excellent when we lost our cat. I can't think of a thing they could have done better. they were ask hands on deck helping us look. the took apart furniture, posted signs... we felt very grateful for their support and would have really struggled on our own. aside from that the hotel was clean, convenient, restful, well stocked, roomy, comfortable and just all around perfect. from cleaning staff, maintenance and front desk to management staff we got top notch service
- 3/5
One-night stay for work. Hotel is in convenient location, across the street from the airport and close to interstate. Hotel was looking a little dated. Room was clean and full kitchen is a nice touch. Breakfast buffet was skimpy and no vegetarian options. Overall, it was a good stay and a good value for the price. I would recommend this more for business travelers.
