Reviews
The hotel received mixed reviews with guests appreciating the cleanliness, friendly staff, and excellent breakfast, while others complained about musty smells in rooms, poor customer service, and lack of cleanliness. One guest had a particularly negative experience with a rude front desk employee and a room that smelled like weed, leading them to check out early and file a formal complaint.

Breakfast was a C, no higher. Did not meet standards usually associated with a Marriott.

I love how friendly the staff was. They truly went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. As a business owner myself, I really appreciated that. I did find that there was some hair in my shower that did not belong to me. And a few of the towels had some stains on them that made me skeptical to use them.

Jonathan and Leanne were very welcoming and all staff made us feel at home. Room, AC, breakfast were all great. Mini-fridge, microwave, hair dryer and more - all available. Thank you all.

air conditioner is so close to the bed you can't sleep on that side. bath tub has mold around it, shower curtain has mold on it. towel rack was falling off wall. coffee maker has mismatched pieces and had to be jerry rigged to work. very limited closet space that is accessable. the whole room looks like it was redone by an inexperienced designer. the center desk is unstable and rattles every time it is touched. There are more. I won't be back.

This hotel room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The area was quiet despite being so close to the airport. The breakfast was mostly carb and sugar items (muffins, cereal, waffles, etc) that I don't eat (my problem, not theirs). The eggs were straight up gross and inedible.
- 2/5
Breakfast was poor quality and they ran out of food several days. The elevator maintenance door was wide open, with a high voltage electrical panel also open. Super dangerous. The staff were nearly shouting to each other in the hallways during cleaning hours. The shampoo bottle in the shower was empty. The bathroom fan was really loud and the bathroom entrance was right in front of the beds, nuking the whole concept of a 'suite'. And there is no airport shuttle!

There was no hand soap for the sink. Said it is on order. The lobby coffee was broken, the juice machine for breakfast was broken. No plates for breakfast. Said they were also on order.
- 2/5
They never came to clean our room once, not even to place new towels or empty trash, from Tuesday to Saturday. That was our biggest complaint. Every evening upon returning to the hotel, we had to go downstairs to pick up new towels.
- 5/5
Good location about 15min away from the beach, right across airport but you wont hear a single noise from airplanes! Decent breakfast with better options than other similar hotels! Well cleaned and taken care! Rooms are great size, up to 6 easy

I still have a dispute open for this reservation. Due to making a 2nd reservation for the same night at a too similar Name/description of this hotel you /Expedia list vs. the Springhill Suites in Bradenton (102 12th st, bradenton). So I paid for a reservation for a room i didnt use and tring to get reimbursed even for a credit with Expedia for a future trip. If you can assist with this request, i would be most grateful.

Excellent stay at SpringHill Suites. Room had King bed and sleep sofa and 2 T.V.'s Hot Breakfast was perfect to start the day. Also gym, outdoor pool, and plenty of parking. Located at the airport. Car needed to explore area and/or go to the beach. Staff was pleasant and helpful, especially Rachel at the front desk. nothing

It was clean. We stayed 7 nights, and didn't have to ask for anything except coffee. They ran out of that. They had coffee in the the lobby but I brought my 5 yr old grandson and liked having coffee before he woke up but couldn't the last 2 days. Everyone was friendly.
- 4/5

Hotel is clean breakfast was great and location is good The beds are extremely uncomfortable and the pillows are as well.I did not know they don't do housekeeping everyday and was not made aware when checking in. When I called to ask since my bathroom had dirt because of our shoes was told a notice is on the door. How many people read the notices behind the door ?

Kayla was very kind when checking us in.
- 4/5
The daytime staff was very professional and courteous and everyone was helpful. The room had a clean smell and was well-equipped. The air conditioner was quiet. The bathroom was not maintained with care and it showed in sloppy caulking, rusty screws and shower door seals that interfered with the proper closing of the door. A load of laundry will run $8 with the detergent. The beach towels are tiny- you may need 3 or 4! Overall it was fine but I expected better at this price point.
- 5/5
Nice clean quiet room
- 5/5
Front desk staff & breakfast service was wonderful! Rooms were clean & staff was very friendly
- 5/5
Not enough variety of items.
- 4/5
It was fine. We never had our beds changed after a 4 night stay. Breakfast was average. The elevator was painfully slow so always took the stairs.
- 5/5
Great Hospitality

I expect more from Marriott, at all levels of hotel stay. Having Elite status, we stay with Marriott always. Booked this for convenience and was surprise at how dirty my room was. The carpet was dirty, the walls had huge gross marks on them. Not sure what it was but it was not inconspicuous, right above the bed. The amount of mold in the vents of the air unit that blows right in your face as you sleep is disturbing and unacceptable. Mold in the shower is to be expected to some degree but this mold as not in the caulking, it is as in the walls. Horrific. The overall cleanliness of the room was bad. Do better Marriott.
- 5/5
All is said in the above.
- 3/5
We used the pull out bed, under it there was a bunch of chips and other trash that had probably been there for ever... therefore, those carpets inside the rooms are NOT being cleaned as maybe the hallway was. Sheets and pillows you can tell they are old. They smell like body odor because they are old. Might be washed, but that smell doesn´t go away with a regular wash, and/or need to be replaced. I wouldn´t stay here again, sorry.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff and very clean facility.
- 4/5
Excellent
- 5/5
The staff was wonderful. Cleanliness was probably the best of any hotel I have stayed at. Beds were comfy. Can walk to ringling museum. Plenty of shade by pool. Will definitely be back!
- 4/5
The stay was decent. The hotel had issues with their doors. The bathroom door was so hard to open once you closed it. At one point I thought I was locked in. I had to get someone to push it from outside to open it. Also, the door to get into the room was having some issues, as well as the door to get in the hotel, also, the elevator would always shake, very hard when going to another level. It was very scary because several times I thought I was going to get stuck
- 5/5
The room, lobby and breakfast area were all clean. The breakfast was good
- 5/5
Love staying here it is always great service and quiet.
- 4/5
The continental breakfast was Better than expected and the high ceilings in the room were also a pleasant surprise. Although I don’t know if that is only because we stayed on the ground floor.
- 5/5
of all the places i have stayed, overall best staff i have encountered
- 5/5
Best staff I have ever encountered.
- 2/5
My family booked a room at this location and was very disappointed in the upkeep of the property. The front doors were off track, rooms had dated furniture, the bathroom smelled like urine, and the water smelled like dirty pipes./.
- 5/5
It was a wonderful place. Quiet. Convenient. Good breakfast. Reasonable for price.
- 3/5
Broken ice machine on second floor, no extra towels available,
- 5/5
Liked everything about this place
- 2/5
Staff was generally friendly, except for the manager.
- 5/5
Great convenient property, near Sarasota airport, nice room, sofa, desk, 2 TVs, coffee station, fridge, 2 queen beds, pool, exercise room, free breakfast.
- 4/5
Nice Springhill suites facility. It was clean and comfortable but nothing more. Was in the area for work so the location is C .
- 5/5
Nice place to stay, comfortable rooms.
- 1/5
Property needs to be updated and better maintained. Stained carpets, dirty pool, recked pool furniture. Planned to stay 6 nights, but due to condition of hotel, we checked out after one night. Desk staff did not check us out properly and charged us for 2 extra night, then said they were unable to credit us. Do not recommend and will never stay there again.
- 5/5
Was very convenient to Airport and Bradenton and Sarasoto beaches and img soccer event. Staff and cleaning staff very polite and helpful .breakfast abar was cleaned and well managed and food good
- 1/5

- 2/5
Water interruptions
- 1/5
Didn’t like it at all
- 5/5
Everything was awesome except the pool. It didn't look it's best for me.
- 2/5
We woke up one morning and did not have any water when I call front desk and ask, how are we supposed to bathe and brush teeth their response was I do not know they did not even offer us a bottle of water so that we can brush our teeth. We have to leave the hotel and find facilities elsewhere.
- 2/5
Sadly we went to this hotel due to needing to evacuate as we had a hurricane warning .we were allowed to book in early which was helpful but The power / lights / tv all went off at 7.30 pm. We could therefore not use the facilities /apart from the bed.as there was no light to even see our way around the room . The corridors and stairs were also completely dark . There was no attempt at any breakfast for guests . Before the blackout we found that the microwave in the room did not work , the fridge did not seem cool and the ice machine for the whole floor did not work . I also could not work out how you could control the tv from the bed -is probably a clever techno thing but I did not know how to do . Obvs it was not then a problem as there was a complete power black out ! The room seemed clean and had a nice big bed with fresh sheets . In other circumstances maybe it would all have felt nicer but at least we were safe from the storm !
- 5/5
Staff were very helpful.
- 5/5
Pretty good
- 1/5
The room was ok but the breakfast it was gone missing 45 minutes to finish .
- 2/5
I found no fresh fruit offered at breakfast, and no meat with the eggs. Elevator out of service. Had to walk up stairs to room. Overpriced for the value
- 4/5
The hotel was nice enough, the room was clean with lots of space for a family with kids and the second tv is great when you are traveling with little ones. The front desk agent who did our check in was very friendly and helpful. I didn’t get his name, but later he suggested places to visit with the kids. The same day of our arrival the elevator broke down, so for the remaining 4 days of our trip, we had to use the stairs. This wasn’t a huge inconvenience for us but I see how I would affect people with limited mobility as well as when you are coming with luggage or lots of bags. To go to buy groceries or restaurants you have to drive a couple of miles. The Ringling Bros Museums are less than 5 min away which is great because the place is awesome. The included breakfast had a few options.
- 4/5
Hotel was ok, not as big as I expected.
- 4/5
More guest towels in room. Bigger pool towels. Staff was very attentive.
- 5/5
.
- 3/5
Breakfast was bleak. Eggs and sausage gone and had to ask for more
- 5/5
Muy buen servicio y las habitaciones excelentes
- 5/5
Clean and friendly staff, excellent breakfast
- 5/5
Hotel was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Room had a musty smell, otherwise the stay was great.
- 5/5
Perfect stay for our purpose.
- 1/5
With that, i will be reaching oit marriott corporate and placong a formal complaint on the agent and general manager. Stay away from this property!!!! Youll do yourself a big favor!
- 4/5
This hotel is nice, but the decor seems a little dated. The scariest thing is the elevator jerks when you use it, but it never broke for the whole week we were there. They have a nice hot breakfast every morning but it was the same - scrambled eggs and sausage, oatmeal, waffles, bagels, bread, and yogurt. One day we had bacon instead of sausage and another day we had sausage gravy and biscuits. If plane noises bother you beware, it is across from airport.
- 3/5
Room muggy upon arrival and carpet next to AC unit saturated. Like stepping into a puddle of cold water.
- 4/5
Great location, quiet, clean, good staff,. Would recommend and stay again.
- 3/5
We like the location, but we’ve had issues on both of our last two trips there.
- 5/5
This was booked last minute after our flight got canceled. Gentleman who checked us in was incredibly kind. The next morning our flight got cancelled (again), and they were so sweet to extend our checkout to 2pm. We would stay here in a heartbeat. Clean, price is good, rooms are spacious… great stay
- 2/5
Had problems checking in charged again, had problems getting room service. Halls were not cleaned our whole time?
- 1/5
What did I LIKE? There were two young men on the front desk. They did everything they could to help us out. One of them brought us shampoo and body soap at 8:00 pm beings housekeeping refused to do their job.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
We arrived early and were assigned our room immediately. Our room is clean and spacious!!
- 3/5
The hotel is nice. The front desk experience was not so good. The associate was not friendly. The air conditioning is too noisy. The room was recently renovated, but the elevator and common areas need more attention.
- 4/5
Overall, it was a wonderful stay. Plus for me was the breakfast and free parking. Nevertheless, the breakfast was not all that. The variety was limited and void of fruits. But it served its purpose nevertheless. The staff was courteous. The hotel was pretty clean and smelled good.
- 4/5
Great breakfast!
- 3/5
light by table needed adjustment, lamp as you walk in did not work, lighting in bathroom by sink was so dull, and the shower was not clean, was not impressed. i would of expected a higher quality of attention to detail at a marriott.
- 5/5
Front desk women was outstanding. Young man in bkft area totally unable to stock area, even when there were only " seven" guests there . Out of , coffee for 35 min,, no waffle batter, no bread, even when several people asked, He finally brought 4 wrapped slices of read, that were taken by a family with small children since he didn't bring waffle batter, We left about 8:30 the whole area was swamped, long lines waiting for " food". He needs a different position.Almost nonverble, flat affect.
- 3/5
Room smelled bad. Checked under the sheets and discovered that the mattress was wet with urine.
- 1/5
Property was very dirty and very moldy. All betting was damp and moldy
- 1/5
Received an email 2 hours later that an accessible room was not available any longer. I can only presume that they gave it to someone else.
- 5/5
is good
- 3/5
Loved the suite with extra sleeping space. Did not like mold in bathroom and no transportation to airport
- 3/5
Bathroom had mold in the shower. Breakfast had very limited items. There was no meat unless you count the sausage gravy. A/c unit was very loud.
- 4/5
Overall a good experience. Seemed like there might be a staff shortage in housekeeping as some things had not been cleaned thoroughly in my room prior to my checking in. Also, the elevator is rather loud and stops roughly when going up.
- 4/5
The staff is super friendly. Unfortunately, our first room had a shower head that was not working. We called the front desk and we were notified that it would be 15 mins for maintenance to come. After a half hour, we called again and got a new room. The continental breakfast was better than expected.
- 3/5
Broken TV never fixed for 6 days, asked for housekeeping, did not service rooms, had no change for laundry machines
- 5/5
One night stay, check in was easy, room very comfortable and clean, no excessive noise…. Great stay
- 5/5
Room and bathroom dirty .
- 5/5
Great accommodations if you have more than 2 couples sleeping in 1 room!
- 5/5
Very clean room and also very quiet. We rested very well. Met our expectations.
- 3/5
For the price, it was not up to a Mariott's standard. Suite was cramped. Not everything worked in the room. Sink barely drained properly. Definitely overpriced.
- 4/5
The shower floors need update. Great service and easy parking. Close to everything by car.
- 5/5
Clean and convenient to the airport
- 3/5
Close to the near the airport
- 4/5
Staff very polite.
- 4/5
The hotel is not bad, just need updated on the pool area and the gym put more stuff. But was nice, the breakfast is fine
- 3/5
BUT ONLY 1 ICE MACHINE
- 2/5
The app said housekeeping would come every other day. The front desk said every three days, We were there four days and nobody ever came. The breakfast offerings on most days were the worst I have ever seen. The room was ok but it is hard to sleep when the air-conditioner/fan is right next to the bed making a lot of noise and blowing air on you all night. I would turn it off as long as I could before it got too hot and stuffy in the room but eventually, it had to come back on.
- 1/5
The pool was closed and the staff could not have cared less that that was an important feature for people from Wisconsin vacationing in Florida.
- 2/5
The hotel property was in poor repair. Pool was pot of service. Breakfast was sub standard, always the same and cold. Had to ask to have room cleaned. It was cleaned 3 times in 10 days! All in all a pitiful stay. I don’t know how you rated it 8 out of 10. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.
- 2/5
The property is at a great location if you are flying in and out of the area. The only complaint I have is that the bathroom needed work. The shower was weak and the water smells of bad sulfur.
- 1/5
This was the worst hotel experience for my wife and Iever. It was dirty, outlets did not work, i got bit by something while sleeping, lady took 45 minutes to check us in. Needs renovation and new management!
- 2/5
This is an airport hotel. It's literally across the street from SRQ. Listed on Orbitz as a "downtown hotel".
- 5/5
accommodations were excellent...breakfast not so appetizing...most of pastries still frozen when served...stock of food bar was poor.
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 2/5
bathroom is out dated and disgusting, elevated jars you on take off and sounds like its about to snap in half. front desk guy had to call his manager because he couldnt figure out how to check me in. sat in the lobby for over a hour at 1:00am completely exhausted. I will never stay here again. very poor quality springhill hotel. very disappointed for the money.
- 4/5
Very helpful staff especialy given the condisions. We were going thru a huricane.
- 1/5
Not worth the drive.
- 1/5
Even tho I had a reservation paid in full and THEY HAD OPEN ROOMS they turned us away and left us homeless when we tried to check in. Had to drive 2 hours north (where we just came from) to find an available room. Not cool!!! Very heartless during stressful times/post Hurricane Ian. Front desk staff said per her manager she could NOT give us an available room and then refused to refund me. We sure didn’t need this added stress post hurricane and HOMELESS!!! Our home was destroyed and uninhabitable but it didn’t matter at this hotel.
- 3/5
The staff was friendly. The room needs some work.
- 2/5
The bathroom was unfortunately very dirty. The elevator would shake and make loud noises, and overall the hotel just needs some more maintenance.
- 1/5
Rooms smelled like mold, hairs all over the bathroom, not clean at all. Will never stay here again.
- 1/5
Dirty bathroom, large sticky stain on carpet, goldfish cracker crumbs on floor, hair in shower, no towel bar, brackets only, ceiling falling in from leak.
- 1/5
The room was dark and the sofa bed was dirty with a white stain. The shower floor was dirty.
- 2/5
Don’t have fruit on breakfast Shower it not enough clean.
- 5/5
The hotel was very accommodating. Original room was not available at check-in but found a room with more amenities and upgraded at no additional costs. All minor requests were able to be granted.
- 5/5
Profesional team and excellent service
- 4/5
Location to city and airport
- 5/5
The front desk was very accommodating, as our travel plans to return home were disrupted- they had a room for three nights, and when we still couldn’t get home, and needed a 4th night stay, it was not a problem- they had everything we needed to make our unscheduled stay pleasant- Thank you!
- 1/5
For $400/night I would expect that my 82 year old mother who walks with a cane due to a stroke, would not need to climb stairs because of a broken elevator. Pay for emergence repair service already... At those prices, you can afford it
- 2/5
Sink water didn’t work. Pool had lots of leaves in. No gym available, no elevator.
- 1/5
Very disappointed with this hotel. When I arrived for a pre- Valentine's Day getaway the elevator was down. For someone with a bad ankle this is not acceptable. American Disability Act states reasonable accommodation is required.
- 2/5
Breakfast service with Rachel was outstanding. Location is close to beaches and shopping. Bed is confortable. Access to apps on tv like Neflix.
- 4/5
Elevator is broken the entire 5 days stayed there. Gym is under Reno, but you can use the gym at the Residence inn next door.
