No attention to the needs of the upcoming visitors; limited supplies, coffee, tp, etc. Fridge didn't work and subsequently ruined food we purchased. Outlet on the lamp didn't work and ended up draining phones rather than recharging them. Walls are paper thin. We spent the night listening to rude and ignorant neighbors hollering and pounding on tables and walls. Do not recommend.

The website said this property was renovated in 2023. I think 1973 would be more accurate. Very very outdated and very very dirty. We left due to mold in bathroom that was so bad my husband, who has asthma, couldn't breathe. The paint is peeling, the carpet was sticky, the furniture was stained and chipped, the AC units were falling off the walls, wallpaper growing mold. It was awful. We booked the suite expecting a comfortable experience. It was a nightmare. We left early,

This hotel was very clean and staff was very accommodating.

My stay was pretty good aside from being put under an entire family with kids running around from sun up to sun down. Management was always helpful, specifically the overnight manager we had over the weekend. He was great and very attentive with no complaints. Housekeeping could've been a little nicer. Asking them for towels was lile asking for world secrets. Some got major attitude when asked about a few towels.

Staff were a mixed bag, often absent from front desk and rather clueless about the area. Breakfast was good, regular free fare, but fresh coffee available 24/7 on the lobby. Maintenance was needed. Our room had cracked and peeling paint, with an area where it was just plain missing. Hot water was available during morning hours, not so much in the evening. I don't think we'll be staying at another Wingate.

The place has low ceilings, which makes it so you hear footsteps from guests upstairs at all hours of the night. The breakfast was subpar. The maids forgot their cleaning supplies in my room. I paid for early check-in, but it wasn't available, and I didn't get my money back on the day of. The suite space is good, but the entire place is dated.

The young woman behind the desk when I checked into was untruthful and very aggressive twords me. On the Expedia site it's tells me to make sure that I call the hotel before I check in about my room, my accommodations and I did a couple of time's the morning before going to the hotel and check in to make sure that' the room that I booked had a walk in shower because it was a must for me, a deal breaker. The couple times that I called and spoke to the young lady about my room and if it had a walk in shower she said yes both time's over the phone on the morning of check-in.I got up to my room and began to unpack.I went to use the bathroom and noticed that it was a tub and no walk in. I called the front desk calmly and peacefully asking why did you tell me that my room had a walk in shower when it doesn't. The young lady denied ever saying that to me. She continued to be combative and very aggressive, saying that she never said that ( calling me the lier), she then said that I should gather all my things and that she would refund me the money and have me out of the hotel in 5 minutes.She was horrible not hospitable. I am deemed disabled by the SSI Administration.

The front lobby looks great but the hotel rooms could be better. Although, it’s clean; however, the rooms specially where I stayed could have been improved or renovated. The closet doors wouldn’t close properly unless done certain manner. Bath rooms don’t have exhaust fan, which typically I guess of most hotels and there are old patches and cracks that could have been fixed. The pictures of the model rooms from the website is completely different and deceiving. Moreover, the rooms could have made it more sound proof because not only you can hear loud footsteps from above from but also noice from outside the building and inside the hallways. A disappointing.

When first walking into the hotel we immediately noticed an odor. This odor lingered throughout the hotel including into the actual room. The toilet in the bathroom smelled as if someone had just had a bowel movement. The bed and pillows were not comfortable. The tv didn’t have very many tv options and the WiFi didn’t work which interfered with my work. We were there for 3 days and no one offered to clean the room. Paint on the walls chipping and the water pressure in shower and sick were very low. The walls are very thin and you can hear people walking above you if one a lower floor. The only nice thing I can say is that the staff were nice. Breakfast was okay. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Clean room but I felt itchy. The bathroom did not have a vent, there was a wall decorative vent. Room looked cleaned but it was dirty. The doors could use a scrub down. Visually dirty closet doors. Our hotel room was in poor condition. The shower rod was broken so you could close the shower curtain. The bathroom fan on the wall was overflowing with lint. The hair conditioner was empty. The room was for 4 people but there were only three mismatched chairs at the dining room table. We pulled over the desk chair which was also damaged. We pulled out the sofa bed and it was covered with crumbs. There was also a pile of crumbs under the A/C Unit. The lamps and furniture were haphazardly arranged in the rooms. The curtain in the bedroom was torn in multiple places. The window screen had a big hole in it. When I expressed my concerns at the front desk they were dismissed with a smile. They did send someone up to repair the curtain rod, but that was it. It seems that when something breaks they leave it broken or replace it with something random. Would not recommend.

Good visit with friends

My husband and I stayed in room 318. The bathroom floor needs to be retiled, every time we walked in, it made a crunching sound, almost like the floor wasn’t stable. Also, the air/heat unit door by the bed kept popping open every time the unit turned on, which was frustrating because I had to keep getting up to close it. Another issue was the noise. It doesn’t seem like the rooms are soundproof at all. Around 5 a.m., we were woken up by an alarm going off in the room above us, and it continued for over an hour. With some renovations and attention to these details, this hotel could easily earn a 5-star rating from me.

I was also overcharged for my room due to me booking online.

The man at the front desk was rude. The iron in our room didn’t work and he didn’t want to exchange ours for a working one. The hotel itself literally makes noises all throughout the night-knocking sounds, whistling, pipes running it’s absolute chaos if you actually want to sleep at night. I paid for late check out at 1pm. At 12:10pm they were knocking at our door asking if we were checking out. I will never stay here again.

Room was ok. It was extremely hot and dry upon entry. Phones didn’t work and neither did the TV. House keeping was able to get us some channels. Overall, staff was accommodating and the facilities were just ok for a one night stay.

This place didn’t have our room and there was 5 of us and they gave our room to someone else wouldn’t refund any money for them making the mistake and my 9 year old had to sleep with makeshift cot I made her for the 3 days we was there ! All we had was 2 queen beds and a chair for 5 people 😩😬😡

The first room on the fourth floor that I booked had a noise problem from the bathroom fan. The staff moved me to a room on the second floor which was smaller and chipper than the first room. Towels were prepared just for one person. The heater fan in the second room did not stop at all.

Although I received a text msg welcoming my stay, upon my arrival for check in it was anything but “welcoming”. The desk clerk didn’t even speak. I greeted him & he didn’t even respond. I asked a question regarding room assignment. His response was very terse and dismissive. Very unpleasant individual — wasn’t hospitable at ALL!!! The accommodations were excellent though.

I shouldn't be able to hear people walking around in the room above me. I was supposed to stay for 3 nights, but left after the 2nd night because it sounded like a herd of elephants running back and forth late into the night and early in the morning. I did not sleep well. On a positive note the room was nice and clean. I just couldn't enjoy it.

No towels or soap in the room, After we picked them up from the front desk and went back to the room we realized there was no shower curtain. Tried to call the front desk, neither of the phones in the room worked. Went back to the front desk for the shower curtain and were told they could give us a shower curtain and we could hang it ourselves or we could pack up our stuff and move to a different room. There was no one to put up the curtain. The front desk attendant was very rude.

I cannot understand why the hotel would put someone me who is by myself on the first below below a family with little children. That was absolutely thoughtless and inconsiderate. I dealt with noise and banging above me the entire stay. I spoke to the front desk several times. I killed 2 bugs and the bathroom smelled like someone was smoking in there, but your hotel says no smoking. My room was right by the exit door so I heard everyone's conversation. I am so disappointed and upset!

Worker at the front was kind, but they were the ONLY worker in the entire facility. Room had a huge bug over the bed, people outside were speaking in a way that left the family feeling unsafe.

It was SO rundown! Stains on the the hallway carpets and paint peeling. The first room we tried had peeling paint, yellow running down a wall, visible mold on the lamp shades, and the window was sealed shut. The 2nd room was even worse. Just walking through and taking pictures I had broke out in a rash! I asked for a refund because I couldn't stay there. The manager said she wouldn't charge me, but I need to now go thrpugh Hotels .com for my refund. We had to find a different hotel at the last minute.

Amazing stay

When Andre was working in the kitchen for breakfast I loved how he kept walking and making sure nothing was empty, he would go get the coffee refill it while still making sure food was available for the guests. He kept it clean even while it was packed. I stayed a week and the times he was there it was the same service from him. I definitely recommend

The property was very clean and tidy with nice decor. The bed was comfy, but the pillows were not. Our kids used the pullout couch to sleep on, and the mattress was very stained and had lots of glitter in it. The blankets they provided for the sleeper sofa were not comfortable. We asked for an additional white comforter, like we had on the main bed and they gave us a scratchy blue blanket. Everything else was clean. Just wish we had a better night’s sleep.

We arrived around 9 PM and had to wait approximately 20 minutes to check in. The person at the front desk was very rude and showed no courtesy. The first two key cards we were given didn’t work, and only on the third attempt were we finally able to access our room. When we requested a pillow and blanket, we were given only a pillow and a bedsheet instead.

I liked how quiet this hotel was. The charging station was a plus, too. There don’t seem to be many hotels with that amenity, especially at this price point, so I appreciate it. The room was clean and comfortable. The things I didn’t like were limited cable channels, the ice machine on the first floor not working, and the weird/musty smell in the lobby and at the elevators when we arrived. It wasn’t there the next day so I’m not sure what that was (cleaning products?). Overall a good stay.

Convenient location adjacent to shopping and restaurants, and about 15 minutes to the O'Hara airport, but the property feels old and not being well taken care of. Sticky floors, squeaking elevators, and loud air conditioner. Breakfast was decent though, and staff was friendly.

The only complaint I have with my stay is the wifi is very slow at night when everyone is in their rooms, but thats such a minor detail. I will always stay at this hotel when i come to the chicago area.

Only 2 issues. First, Internet was very slow 10mb/sec. that is ridiculously slow and no reason for it with today's tech. Second, breakfast was bad. Not very fresh, limited choices but the staff was very nice. Would not stay if either of these are an issue for you. if not, definitely recommended.

This hotel is just so, so. Nothing is horribly bad, but nothing great. I chose based on location, but will probably choose a different option when in this area next time.

AC did not work in the room, it was hot but we just needed sleep. LOUD people above us, walking back and forth, but the quit around 10PM so all was good until midnight...then the stomping and running began again. I went to the desk and the clerk was VERY nice and actually cared about the situation. I informed him of the bad AC also. He said a basketball youth team was staying in the hotel for the last month and they knew better and had rules to follow, he was calling the room as I left to go back to mine. I got back into bed for a couple of minutes until the stomping began again. I went back to the desk and asked for another room. The clerk was again a GREAT guy and was able to give us another room that was smaller, but all we cared about was sleep. Then front desk clerk was GREAT, but they need to put youth sports teams on the first floor not the third. Hotel was standard otherwise, breakfast was edible but low quality

We stay in Schaumburg IL 2 or 3 times a year. We will be staying here again.

i usually enjoy myself at location but this time there were a large number of boys for basketball camp that were very noisy on my floor .. no order or supervision it seems and the leader obviosly did not emphaise to them to think of others.

This was our second time staying here and it was nice returning to a familiar place. Right down the road from Medieval Times and 10min away from Woodfield Mall.

The hotel and room were nice, but the cleaning was not up to par. There were sticky stains on the desk, splatters of something on the walls in the living area and the bathroom, chips/crumbs on the hide-a-bed. If it was clean it would've been fantastic. I asked for some cleaning products at the front desk and was given a Norwex cloth, which nice for home use, but in a hotel room I'd like things disinfected. There was also a plastic bag over the smoke detector which was odd.

Quiet convenient hotel

We celebrated our anniversary ... spa tub was wonderful ... bed was comfortable ... breakfast was good ... service was also very good.

The property was very clean.

It was clean , the room was bigger than expected. Fridge was a cooler for me. New HD TV👏. Maid service on second day was excellent, I had spilled something on the sheet and they changed it. Where other hotels just made it up. Good typical breakfast and coffee throughout the day. Didn’t like the dim lighting in hallways and in rooms maybe this is something new with lights. Will stay here again.

The walls are paper, thin, the faucet in the bathroom would not turn off, and in turn made screeching noise randomly for minutes throughout the night. Worst night of sleep.

Excellent customer service, very corteous and professional staff. The only con is that you can hear every sound made in rooms and aisles, would be a perfect place with sound proofing.
