Homewood Suites By Hilton Schenectady

It was clean and modern. Most importantly the beds were super comfortable. There were no surprises! Access to a very nice restaurant and the view of the Hudson River was appreciated.

Loved the property and staff

We have stayed here before with no problems. But this time the shower streamed water out the side of the sprocket getting the floor soaked. We got back there late at night, so we weren't going to call someone up when we had kids to get to sleep. Then my daughter got in her bed and there was candy and candy wrappers in the bed. So they didn't change the sheets from their prior guest. We won't be going back there again.

Everything was good except for the pool. Breakfast was good, room was clean and view was great. Staffs were nice and helpful. Only not perfect part is the pool. Dead bugs in the pool for three days and no showers there. Only bathroom in the pool area has a not cleaned toilet.

The staff texted daily to ask if we needed anything. The kitchenette was well appointed and the room was spacious. The bath was spacious and clean as well. The pool was clean and our daughter was thrilled with the view of the trains passing through several times per day. The room was quiet and the grounds were lovely.

The front desk staff was the best. Our room seemed clean except for a nasty smell like old clothes. We asked for it to be addressed and it wasn't. But other than the smell every part of the hotel including breakfast was great

Perfect for a nursing student doing her rotations at Ellis hospital. The hotel had breakfast bags for us students at 5:30 am even though breakfast wasn’t scheduled until later in the morning. They made sure we had everything we need to start a good shift!!

The main reason I stayed at Homewood Suites was their availability of EV chargers. When I arrived, with a low state of charge, I found that all 10 chargers were out of service. The next morning, nearly out of charge, I had to try three other charger locations before I found one that worked and was available.

Nice clean hotel, one restaurant on site, definitely recommend making reservations if you want to dine there. Restaurants near the casino are for guests 21+, be aware if travelling with kids.

The room was ok. The tv was facing the couch not the bed. Was woken up at 12:30 by a barking dog. Also someone in another room was vomiting on and off all night. I did not get much sleep fir the high price of the room.

Overall hotel was clean and friendly but the air conditioning unit was noisy and kept us up all night. Maintenance was unable to take care of it.

I always stay here when visiting my mom in Schenectady and the front desk is always so helpful, patient and kind. Huge thanks to Colin for his warm reception. Manager covering during check out could use some of the hospitality training from the other staff. The room was clean but toiletries need to be freshened up as most are out but i bring my own so had it wasnt a dire need. Rooms are clean, bed pillows should be changed, pretty small and flat for a king size bed. Overall a good stay.

Stayed here for a weekend trip. All rooms are suites with a kitchen. Very modern and clean (which i need). We did however get a room that smelled SO BAD of bad food (maybe from a previous tenant) it was horrid, they tried to clean and it made the smell worse. They did in fact let us move rooms the next day and IT WAS PERFECT. Clean and no smells. Excellent. I know people stay here for some time due to them being like small apartments so likely why the smell but room 217 smelled like rotten chicken! Room 208 is exceptionally clean.

i was there for a wedding and the conference room where the bridal party was getting ready was very hot as the air conditioning was broken. Also, the patio off the conference room was not blocked off for the wedding party and a hotel guest would not leave the area when the photographer was taking pictures and insisted on staying and smoking despite the no smoking sign. He was very rude and eventually the wedding planner had hotel management and the police contacted.

The breakfast buffet was different daily which was nice. The front desk staff was extremely accommodating and friendly.

Clean, everything seemed fairly new. Excellent restaurant on property and a proper breakfast was part of the deal. Awesome place to stay...best night sleep that I had on my week long trip.

I was disappointed in the room I stayed in, considering how much I paid for it. The bed/ mattress was very uncomfortable, the doors were dirty, there were no extra cups to use, and the kitchen area was very dark. There was not a brighter light to turn on, unless you wanted to turn the whole room light on. This is my 3 rd stay in this hotel, only choosing it because it’s close to where my father lives. Like I said, it’s really not worth the price. I wish I could get a partial refund.

It’s a very nice property. Staff try hard and go out of their way to help you. Breakfast was good everyday and the ladies that prepare it were always kind and smiling. We stayed 4 days, our room was only made up once but we did have the do not disturb hanging out a lot due to people sleeping late. When it was made up, it was very clean. It’s not too far from Saratoga but Schenectady has a lot to offer travelers too. Next time, we’re taking our boat.

The prowery was very nice. Comfortable and we really enjoyed the room and areas of the holtel. The only issue we had was with thw service. We had to request multiple times and wait a very long time for some extra sheets for the bed. Multiple calls were requires for a set of sheets. Aside from that everything else was fine

Hotel is under renovation which was somewhat disruptive and you had to walk through the construction area to get to the pool. Room we stayed in was very nice.

We arrived at the property after 1:00 AM, following a drive of over 10 hours with three small children. Initially, everything seemed fine until I realized that the exterior door to our room could be opened without using the key card. I went down to reception, and the lady at the desk mentioned that she could offer a full refund if we wanted to move to another hotel, or she could have someone fix it in the morning. As you can imagine, moving to another hotel in the middle of the night with three kids was not an option, so I agreed to have it fixed the next day. When we left in the morning, no one was at reception. Upon returning in the evening, I checked the door again and found the same issue with the handle. I went back to reception and spoke with a different lady, who had no idea about the problem. She didn’t even bother to call or check with the previous staff to see what had been done or why no one had come to address the issue. To me, this clearly shows that they do not care at all about the safety or concerns of their guests. Honestly, what surprised me the most was that this happened at a Hilton property, where you expect a minimum level of service and security, especially for a hotel charging over $500 CAD for just two nights. The staff's attitude was as if we were staying at a hostel — completely careless and unhelpful. Moreover, the breakfast was the worst we’ve experienced so far in any hotel.

The sofa bed is very, very uncomfortable; it's impossible to sleep there. At 9:48, they started clearing everything from breakfast, and by 9:50 there was no juice left, only water, even though breakfast was supposed to end at 10h00

It was a great property and quiet, had a good selection for breakfast and over looked the water. I’ll definitely this hotel again when visiting my friends in NY again.

Indoor pool would have been nice to use, if it were emphasized as Indoor on the site and not merely the presence of a pool.

I was greeted graciously, and the room was ready. Slightly disappointed about the updating/construction that was going on but the amenities seemed to be the same but I didn’t have time to appreciate them. I only did breakfast on Sunday and that was fine. The bath in the room was spacious and plenty of grab bars for seniors - nice touch! Only wish it didn’t have a tub - would have preferred to have a limited step in rather than a step over. Nice that room was on 5th floor but when the trains go by you can really hear them. I didn’t mind them being a train fan but others may not like it. Nothing you can do about that! Overall, much better then last year!

Well I booked the one bedroom suite and got to my room and it wasn’t my room I had booked. I tell the front desk and with her attitude told me they didn’t have any of those rooms left wasn’t very happy and nothing was offered to me my difference in the price of the room . Also fix t even tell me that my room wasn’t available and they are putting me in a different room . Just rude

The stay was great. Room very nice. I did find a qtip on the floor when we got there and the toilet wasn't cleaned. Had pee stains on the seat. The water pressure wasn't very good. The bed was comfy. The breakfast was good but on Saturday morning they didn't plan ahead so people were waiting for hours and kept being told "more is coming" even after waiting for hours they never brought more out.

The radiators in the room were very noisy making it difficult to sleep. Temperature difficult to control. But otherwise, great hotel choice.

Wonderful stay over Christmas. Lovely hotel and breakfast. Beautiful setting on the river. Our main attraction was that they are dog friendly, so our furry family member was about to comfortably spend the holiday with us.

The shower did not work properly, rooms were large and clean.

My only complaint was that I could hear the people next door. It sounded like there were a couple of kids.

Liked view of river., but windows were VERY dirty and smudged. Person who had tried to wash them did lousy job. I f hotel is only going to clean every other day, they need to leave a two day supply of coffee. Used coffee 1st day, none there the second day. Check out person did not inquire to see if I had a nice stay etc.

I loved the waterfront view. Waking up every morning and being able to sit on the balcony of our room and see the water was so relaxing. Staff was very attentive and would even send a text throughout our stay asking if we needed anything. Only downside was the ac control on the wall was difficult to use and the room did not get very cool.

I did not like the fact that the rooms are not being cleaned daily or upon request. I asked for the roomed to be cleaned and was told this happens only every two days.

Check in was easy since i did the digital key option. When i got there at around 10:30pm there was a person at the desk. I stopped real quick just to figure out where the elevator was and when breakfast would be, since i had never stayed at this location. The lady at the desk was helpful in that regard, and i got my bottles of water. But she did look like she was bored, and didn't quite look like she was in uniform. After going upstairs to my room, and checking everything out i discovered a few things that could be fixed up a bit. The sheer curtain on the window had a pretty decent yellow stain on it, in the kitchen area there were crumbs left over on the edge of a tile area, one of the cups in the cupboard was heavily stained where it looked like it was dirty. Different sections of wallpaper in the kitchen and bathroom areas are peeling. The fridge light was broken so no light when you opened the fridge. But other than that the room was fairly clean, the bed was comfortable (but pillows a little too soft for my liking lol). But i had a great night's sleep and the ac was cold which was amazing.
