Comfort Suites near Route 66

Stayed for one night the pool was very clean. Overall the hotel was very clean. The front desk and check-in were super easy and nice and the breakfast in the morning was wonderful with a lot of protein options.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby was under rehab and it created a messy area with paint and drywall mud spilled all over. The breakfast was terrible. Eggs, 2 types of sausages and waffles, the hotel was bombarded by little league teams. Food went fast slow to refill. Eating area was very small for the 3 floor hotel.

Good value stay. Rooms included basic appliances like fridge, coffee maker, microwave. Beds are comfy, a pull out sofa bed also available in the room. Breakfast is good, they have hot dishes like egg and sausage. Check-in / check-out process is quick and easy. Room is generally clean but there is little dust on the bed sheet and some tissue paper in between the sofa bed seat. The housekeeping might missed cleaning the pull out sofa bed. The ice machine is old and it takes time to get some ice.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Our rooms were clean and ready. The stairwell smelled like weed. The breakfast was less than stellar. Only dereal, eggs, sausage and waffles. Very small eating area for the size of the building.

WOULD RETURN FOR ANOTHER STAY IF IN SPRINGFIELD AGAIN. NO DIFFICULTY FINDING THE LOCATION EXCEPT GOOGLE MAPS WANTED TO SEND US TO "COMFORT INN & SUITES" NOT "COMFORT SUITES". THAT WASTED AN EXTRA HALF HOUR. MAYBE THE CORPORATION COULD CLARIFY WITH GOOGLE MAPS THE DIFFERENCE.

Had to use a flashlight to find our room because the hall lights weren’t working. No pillow cases. No anti-slip mat or stickers in bath tub. Burned out lights. Cable not working. Internet didn’t work. Water temperature in shower kept changing. Had to chase down toilet paper and Kleenex. Horrible place!

Pictures of the rooms on the website with hotels.com was not the same as the room we got. Hotel was currently under remodel and would have chosen a different hotel if we knew that. Staff was scarce. Was not visible at the front desk most of the stay. Pool was good! Kids loved it. Washer and dryer worked well.

Overall the room was wonderful! Their breakfast was out of a lot of stuff. In their defense, there was a big biker event and all the big boys cleaned them out.

We liked the large room with separate sitting area to eat dinner we brought with us. Breakfast had good gluten-free choices. Eggs, yogurt and juice were great Walls were a little thin could hear the kids ne t door

Had to change rooms due to the cleanliness and smell and the second room I was placed in did not have such a noticeable smell but had filthy walls and hair in the sink.

Staff was very friendly and responsive. Great location with several great restaurants within a half mile. Breakfast had good variety, but there wasn't enough seating during busy weekend (lots of families), and they could really use an extra set of hands in kitchen on Saturday and Sunday as breakfast items were running out all 3 times we tried to get food and we ended up having to go out for breakfast Sunday. They only have one toaster, and only one side worked. Our room was very nice and roomy, and beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, our refrigerator had to be replaced, the first 2 coffee makers were broken, and our toilet valve malfunctioned a couple days into our stay. Please note however, that the staff responded quickly to each reported issue, and were all very friendly and professional. Everything was in great working order when we checked out:) We would stay here again despite some inconveniences.

The room was clean my only comment was if the bed was a queen bed it was very small. Comfortable but two could hardly fit comfortably. The breakfast had plenty of good choices. We didn’t use the pool and the staff was very greeting.

The room they were assigned was leaking water from the roof due to the rain.

The pool was warm, the beds and linens were very comfortable, and the rooms were very big. Staff was super friendly and helpful, giving us recommendations on restaurants and helping us find our way around. Only drawbacks were the shampoo and conditioner bottles were both empty (did not contact someone to fix as i was already in the shower) and the breakfast left something to be desired. Both mornings they were constantly out of food, and the only fruit they had were apples that were all wrinkly and mushy, probably because the room with the food was at least 80 degrees. We travel frequently, even more now since my oldest will be out of state for college, and have been trying to find the perfect hotel chain.

The room was clean and comfortable, but the TV was out the entire time we were there. My husband has insomnia, so a TV is very important when we stay in a hotel. Also, breakfast was chaotic and haphazard, with many items not restocked in a timely manner, some items not restocked at all. Also, quiet hours were not enforced adequately.

Clean and comfortable room, heated pool that my daughter loves, friendly and helpful staff, and a discount at Smokey Bones next door make this a must stay nearly every time I go to Springfield.

Staff was amazing.

Breakfast was a little hard to deal with only because there was pageant and wrestling events happening off site so it was very crowded. Staff did the best they could keeping the food filled but I ended up with one sausage and a spoonful of eggs. I'm not sure if another waffle maker would've helped?

Checkin was quick and easy. Attendant let us know about a couple of discounts available at local restaurants if we show our room key. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. We did eat the breakfast provided and it was a good start to our day.

Good customer service, but when looking for a hotel - the primary reason for us is to sleep. Uncomfortable hard beds and tiny pillows made it impossible for us to get any shut-eye. Bathroom was clean and nicely updated. Would have appreciated a long mirror somewhere. It felt odd that the second mirror was small and above the desk rather than over the counter with refrigerator, etc. Breakfast was decent, but had limited options.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the area is good, no complaints at all.

The room was dirty. The closet had juice cartoons and something else in it, red stains on the carpet and chair. Floor wasn't vacuumed, bathroom had hair and conwebs. Turned on heat and smoke detector sounded. Maintenance guy said the other guy didn't clean the A/C vent. He said he would give us a stick disarm the smoke detector if we wanted the heat on and he would come back the next day- he didn’t. I took pictures.

The hotel reflects the customer rating indicated on expedia.com. The front desk person was very friendly. The room is very nice! The bed is very comfortable! The air conditioning can be adjusted easily, and the carpet appears to be clean. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately our van’s fuel pump and regulator broke down 1 hour from the hotel. We had to stay at a motel in the local town where it broke down. It was gross. We were sooo happy to stay at the Comfort Inn and Suites. Friendly staff, clean room, a gym for my husband, great breakfast. I highly recommend staying here! Thank you.

The property was well located and fairly clean. Everybody was nice but it seemed very unorganized abd unprofessional. No general cleaning times it seemd like cause there were always carts in the hallways and rooms hanging open. I just generally dont see that.

First room we got wasnt cleaned yet, door was open with the dirty linens in bag. Second room they gave us the door key didnt work so had to go back to the front desk. Great place to stay....just down the road from my son and his families home. Mom and I traveled to Springfield to meet our granddaughter. We stayed 6 nights and then I came back for another 4 days 2 weeks later. I stayed again. The beds were very comfortable, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast (included) was great! I would recommend Comfort Suites near Route 66 to anyone wanting to stay overnight during traveling or if Springfield, IL as your destination, this would be a good place to stay. Thank you for your hospitality!

I was staying for business/work. The room was clean and nice and quiet. Breakfasts were good. A lot of variety for food. Front desk staff were nice and had great suggestions for dining. I would stay again!

We stopped just for 1 night on our way from NE to OH. Only small complaint was the front desk said the pool was a “balmy 85” and it definitely was not.

We had a 3 night stay and on the first day our room was cleaned. The 2nd day the room was not cleaned and I had to ask for bath towels. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and enjoyed the pool and the gym.

Hotel is in poor condition. Totally needs a make over. Doors bubbled, shower and hinges rusty. Carpet dirty and in poor condition. Bed hard. Couch was in a room adjacent to the TV. Poor layout. Breakfast was minimal and not serviced well. Eggs gone, no plastic knives.

I liked the staff, the room, and breakfast. i had to get a new coffee pot because the one in my room didn't work. The elevator was broke down (one day) and when you're 83 , three floors is a lot. Overall, it's a nice property and I liked my stay.

I would not recommend this hotel for any travel teams. I did tell the tournament director to take them off their preferred stay list. The front desk staff was rude to adults and make unprofessional comments to each other in front of the adults.

I just needed a restful night of sleep and that was accomplished. Bed was firm and comfortable. Bedding very clean and comfortable. Bathroom clean. Overall a decent property. I didn’t try the free breakfast so - no opinion on that.

Seems like a festive environment, guests having a joyful time in the lobby. Public restrooms were clean.i didn't use the pool but saw a family seeming to enjoy themselves. Parking was simple as was the checkin process. Establishment was easy to locate with Google maps.

The room was very nice and clean. There was a conference for young people so they were running around but the workers kept them in check. The breakfast was somewhat empty because of all the young people. We made due with what was left.

I thought it was perfect for what I needed - a quick place to sleep and grab a breakfast. Everyone was pleasant and kind checking in and out.

Common spaces all very clean and inviting. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was good and selection was better than most. Room itself was clean, comfortable, and convenient. For a basic, non-luxurious hotel stay, this checked all the boxes.

This hotel was one of the best I’ve stayed in a long time! We had a very spacious king sized room, with kitchenette and a nice walk in shower! Pleasantly surprised by the modern amenities and how quiet the room was!! Would easily stay there again!
