The staff was very attentive and very friendly. My room was so comfortable.

The banquet staff was able to provide a full list of ingredients for me during a work trip to help me navigate a food allergy easily.

The hotel was conveniently located for my trip. Room was clean but the drains were slow so had to stand in 4” water to shower and a sink full to wash my face. The bar/restaurant had specials and neither the Buffalo wings or the Bourbon drink was available when we got there at 7:30 PM for dinner. Our staff was OK but I a positive note. The breakfast was really good. The girl who was working, the breakfast area was an absolute sweetheart and made our stay a little bit more enjoyable. I would stay here again in a pinch but nothing fantastic.

We were unable to use the TV to watch most of the channels due to a provider issue that has been unresolved. This was explained as something the provider has to come to the property to fix but over the 3 days we were there this issue was not fixed.

All convention rooms on first floor as you enter the hotel. Had to go up elevator to 2nd floor to check in. Absolutely NO employee, especially a security guard, on 1st floor was seen during our 3 day stay. Concerning in this day and age where anyone could walk in with a weapon. Under staffed. Saw the same 3 restaurant/bar workers during our 3 day stay (dinner/breakfast shifts). You could tell they were stressed and overworked. Room we stayed in was clean but definitely “older”. Bathroom was modernized all but the tub. Tub was worn and extremely aged. Room was missing small things like bedside and desk lamps. Could not get any local channels on their Dish network and front desk had no answers other than “not my job and to busy to find out”. No microwave. They had water massage chairs and the one I used “froze”-no one at the hotel could assist and/or give me a number I could contact for assistance. Was told by front desk, while they are in the hotel, they have nothing to do with them. Overall, for a Crowne property, was disappointed.

The water was shut off for almost my entire stay and I was not informed of this until after I checked in.

Would have been nice to know at check-in that breakfast was a $15 buffet and that it started at 7am i stead of going down at 6:15 to find out. Also the “coffee shop” didn’t have as many coffee options as you would think with them advertising “Starbucks” coffee. Wanted to purchase breakfast there since Buffett wasn’t open and they didn’t have any in stock.

It looked cool and was a great location. Pantry and restaurant were convenient. It was very outdated and honestly kinda dirty. The bed was TINY. I booked a king room but the bed was more like a queen. Pool was cold and the sauna was nasty. Full of old towels and pizza.

Easy to get to and rooms were very nice. Registration is on the second level. It was very confusing on where to go.

I liked how spacious the room was. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The overall atmosphere in the lobby was great. I was most disappointed in the room itself. The toilet did not flush properly prior to our arrival. We arrived late in the evening, booked a room with a sofa bed, and stated we had children with us. It was clear in my opinion that they would be sleeping on the sofa bed. There were no extra linens or pillows for the sofa bed. We called the front desk and my husband offered to go grab them because it was time sensitive since it was already after 10:00 PM and we had three children 9 and under to get to bed. Instead, they assured us someone was heading to the laundry room to bring us some right away. They did not arrive for over an hour. My husband and I gave the kids the sheet off of our bed so they could sleep on them. They had no pillows other than the decorative pillow that was on the sofa. They were already asleep and I was nearly asleep before the sheets arrived. There was also no remote, but that was an easy fix when we called down and they had one waiting for us at the check-in desk. Considering I could have paid $60 less for another hotel but chose this one due to high ratings and what I thought was overall better quality, I was not happy with our stay. We have to come back for confirmation and first communion next year. We will likely not be staying here, unfortunately.

I felt the staff was amazing!! Ben at the front desk was super nice and very accommodating of my crazy group!! We have 4 children ages ranging from 6-16 so that can be a challenge. But overall good experience and I will be back!! ? We stayed in an executive suite and my husband was the last to shower before departure and there was no hot water ?needless to say he was not impressed

A nice place! I will say that room housekeeping was not good! The makeup mirror was covered with powder and fingerprints. There were fingerprints on another mirror in the room. My wife wiped down surfaces and the wipe was black. Not good! Once we had the room cleaner, the rest of the stay was nice.

In the booking it stated it came with breakfast and after I booked it didn’t state anything about breakfast so it became an extra charge! So No breakfast for us and that was the reason for booking this place. Management was uncooperative in this matter.

That said, this hotel used to be THE hotel in Springfield outside of the downtown area. Visiting it now, it's in need of a remodel. The common areas are nice enough, but the elevators are run down, escalators are broken, and there are many upgrades needed.

The hotel needs major repairs. I’ve stayed at plenty of crown plaza hotels before and this by far was the worst. The facility looks and smells like they should be closed for renovations. The 9th floor smelled like fecal. We flushed our toilet twice and it overflowed. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. The plates for breakfast were dirty. I think if the owners cared about the esthetics of the hotel it would be great! I couldn’t wait to check out to get home.

I stayed at this property several times about 25 years ago. It is typical of the Springfield area with surrounding restaurants and businesses shuttered. It is surrounded with low end porn video shops and a huge strip club as anchor tenants. The employees were great, but they should look for employment in some other city out of Illinois before the last business leaves and turns out the lights.

Reserved a king with a bathtub, got a queen with a cracked bathtub that had rust and what seemed to be dried conditioner stuck to the wall. Behind the door was a dirty Q-Tip and there are stains on the right side of the couch. Had it not have been so late in our drive, we would have eaten the cost

Apon arrival we were told that the air-conditioning had just been repaired and it would take a while for the room to cool. We stayed 2 night and it never went below 75 in our room. We were offered our money back but decided to stay. We understand things are uncontrollable sometimes but took longer then expected to cool the room, this is why I didn't give it excellent. Would definitely stay again!

During my stay, the AC and water was not working due to a sewage line break by the city down the road. The GM at night was pretty rude about the information when I checked on the issue because my room was 78°. They did give me bonus points when I had to ask a third time the next day about the AC. The front desk worker was very nice and very polite. I believe his name was Ben. But again, I believe the GM at night would have been courteous and understanding I would have provided a much better review even though the hotel could not provide the services required of

The A/C units were not working and it was 80 Degrees in the room. We had to make other arrangements.

I was not able to take a bath their was some type of stain in the tub and when I called about it they send some man who stated it was a hardwater stain and it could not be cleaned and suggested I take a shower instead. But as a whole it was ok considering they were experiencing air condition problem.

We have previously stayed at CrownPlaza and were very pleased with the experience. However, this trip we were disappointed in that we couldn't get a breakfast deal with our room. They said we booked on a website that doesn't offer the breakfast and we needed to book directly with the hotel to get the breakfast deal. Not a good practice since we were staying at the hotel with an approved booking. Probably won't stay here again.

For the price we paid and the crowne plaza reputation and pictures reflected on this hotel selection—-our stay was a huge disappointment. The escalator to get down from the check in area was broken. There was ONE working elevator the entire two days we were there. We asked for more towels—-the guy brought us bath mats and hand towels. The picture of the outdoor area on the top floor—-closed to the public. All the furniture and items shown in the picture—-gone. The lamp in our room——broken. This hotel is OLD and needs a remodel badly. It does not feel clean. Nor does it feel elegant or classy. AT ALL. Horrible experience.

Bed was comfortable. Three elevators-one didn’t work then another went down and it didn’t stop at your floor it just skipped right by. Only microwave was in the snack area and it was old and very over used. Something was in our room that was motion activated with a red light on it didn’t appear to be a camera but was still suspect. Once upon a time this was probably a top notch hotel but it’s lacking some much needed TLC. The top floor balcony had loose pavers so watch your step.

I traveled with an elderly parent the stairs were not an option. The front desk does not answer the phone after 10pm. Called the morning of checkout to request extra towels they brought towels 45 mins later…. Disappointing property.

The room was lacking a blow dryer. This is a 14 story motel. It only had 1 working elevator. This made for long wait times during a very busy weekend due to the state fair.

I checked in late and when I pulled down my covers, I had a hole in my sheet. The toilet did not work well and the room was not very clean. The next morning I got a cold shower because they forgot to turn on the pumps to heat the water. I will be looking for a new hotel to stay in when I go to Springfield.

Clean, quiet hotel with attentive staff. Close to many chain restaurants and 15 minutes from the State Fair.

When I tried checking out and asked for a receipt. She told me since I didn’t book directly through them and used a 3rd party (Expedia). She could not and would not give a receipt. I have to ask Expedia for it. Was very rude about it too.

Was disappointed that there was no late check out. Could have been more user friendly ie restaurant menu in hotel room. The staff were very friendly. The bartender on Sat was very friendly and corrected our food order promptly. Greg and Ashley B at the restaurant were excellent servers. They were prompt and attentive.

This is a great hotel. Our bathroom floor was so slick we almost slipped every time we walked on it. Not sure what kinda of cleaner is used, but it’s slick.

Overall a great place to stay. The beds were extremely soft. The breakfast buffet is good, but definitely NOT worth the $18 they charge. We were fortunate to add the breakfast for $1 here. Central location.

Booked a king bed got in at 11pm with a 2 yr old put me in a queen but staff was very nice and put us in a king room. Hotel need some updating.

Sketchy people in area.

It was quite on most nights. The parking lot was roped off most nights which meant I had to park far away from the front of the hotel and Sat night there where hundreds of motorcycles and owners in the parking lot partying which being only was not that secure feeling when I parked and had that long walk alone.

The bar was extremely busy and only one bartender. He was very nice and working very hard to keep up but it left service very slow.

Really a top-notch stay. The gentleman that checked me in was really friendly and made sure that I was happy with my room. The two men that we’re working in the bar restaurant tonight were so fun and warm and take a genuine interest in you and that’s just really nice especially when you’re done driving for 11 hours and just want a quick meal. The beds are absolutely amazing and the room is flawless. I’m really glad I stopped here and I will come back again.
