The furniture, especially the couch, needs updating/replacing. Everything was neat and clean, and the breakfast was truly amazing
- 5/5
What a gem! Beautiful building, sweet staff and nice touches everywhere.
- 5/5
The staff was beyond welcoming and kind. The building is beautiful with so much character. It is a very old building with some quirks but overall we had a wonderful stay. Easy parking and quick drive to downtown. We would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
This is a wonderful place to stay, the building is full of chatacter and has great history, the rooms are nicely decorated and were very spacious, the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and really made you feel welcome, thoroughly enjoyed the home-made cookies and the hot breakfast. Definitely would recommend a stay here
- 5/5
Comfortable room, great location, quiet, with balcony
- 5/5
Breakfast was amazing. Couldn't finish it! The Inn is an amazing dwelling filled with history and in a great location.
- 3/5
not a clean room, but loved the staff and breakfast.
- 3/5
Great building and location. Looks better in pictures that reality. It is tired and in need of a good cleaning and some better furnishing as some of them are cheap copies of classics and worn out. Breakfast horseshoe was pitiful. Untoasted slice of bread, some undercooked hash browns covered by powered eggs and cheap commercial gravy with slimy undercooked bacon. The fruit course was orange or cranberry juice. If your going to do breakfast that bad, just offer coffee and decent pastries. Those were the cheapest commercial pastries you can get too. Overall if you have been to a few small boutique inns or B&B's don't go here, you will be sadly disappointed.
- 5/5
Such wonderful staff! Kathy was amazingly helpful! Moved our stuff to another room as we decided late and couldn’t have the same room we started in! We love it here so much we then decided to stay even a third night! I would love to live here!
- 3/5
We expected daily housekeeping. Didn't happen. The furniture looks worn and tired, the exterior of the building is in need of paint and wood rot needs to be repaired. Water stains on the ceilings. This property has so much potential. Sadly it didn't deliver.
- 5/5
A hidden gem, within walking distance to attractions, insulated from greater Springfield, uniquely different and more memorable than the homogenized hotel experience
- 4/5
Reasonable distance for walking to the sights, not too many options for eating but free parking.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay! I’d stay again.
- 4/5
If you stay at the hotel for longer than a day, they do not clean the room unless it’s requested. We did request and they made the bed and put fresh towels but did not vacuum the floors. A huge positive appreciation to the chef who has a sweet, positive and helpful attitude and prepared for us guests different and delicious breakfasts every morning. The hotel provides cheese and crackers and warm freshly baked cookies early in the evening. The cookies were absolutely yummy and appreciated. It almost made us forget the dirty carpet. The location is great within walking distance to all Lincoln tourists areas. The staff is very friendly.
- 4/5
Dislikes - low toilets
- 4/5
GREAT! Just know this is an OLD building....EMBRACE IT!!!
- 5/5
For something unique, check out
- 5/5
Beautiful vintage building. Wonderfully restored. Free parking. Breakfast was lovely. We came into town late and booked this late, the booking said to call for check in details, which I did but the voicemail was confusing. This slowed down check in a bit, but the manager on staff at the time took care of everything. We selected the king suite and apparently that is a totally separate house from the hotel, which was slightly disappointing. That said, being in the house, I think the Hotel blocked sound from the road and train. The bed was a bit firm for me, but my husband liked it. The garden area is lovely but definitely needs some TLC as weeds were growing and plants overtaking others. The location to downtown activities was nice. I would definitely stay again.
- 3/5
Included breakfast was excellent. Nostalgic vibe.
- 5/5
Nice B & B good breakfast etc…
- 5/5
The staff were friendly, of great service and hardworking. Breakfast was served after the person who prepared it briefed me on what was to be served. It was delightful.
- 5/5
Very very nice. Staff was very excellent. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Wonderful restored apartment building from 1920s, mostly original elegant woodwork. Some rooms still with much or all original features - such as a cast iron clawfoot tub in our room (Dahlia), also an old treadle sewing machine converted to a side table. Very generous and helpful staff, including breakfast chef who made a hearty breakfast each day. Great location ~7 blocks walk from historic district. Only minor drawbacks - slightly worn linens, bed so-so, curtains not light-blocking at least in our room.
- 4/5
A lovely stay in this very unique place. Breakfasts were delicious. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
Everything was great! The room was so cozy with access to a veranda, ALL of the staff we encountered during our stay were amazing! Can't wait to have an opportunity to stay again!!
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay.
- 2/5
Room very dated and small
- 5/5
The staff were very helpful on arrival and the server at breakfast was delightful.
- 5/5
Breakfast was delicious!!…AND fresh cookies were delivered to our room in the evening!!!
- 4/5
We chose this property based on a) its location, b) the descriptions/reviews we'd read and c) it's value for the money. We stayed in a room that was actually in a back building and, while the main building was in good shape and the amenities were nice (nice porch and lounge areas, access to a shared refrigerator/microwave, good cookies delivered to the door, etc.), the room we stayed in needs some TLC. It was large, the bed was comfortable and the water pressure was good, but the two porches need cleaning, light bulbs/cabinet hardware needs replacing and some of the plaster/paint needs attention. With a little more attention paid to fixing things up, it would be a very special place. Wishing them the best.
- 5/5
The room was charming , the staff were friendly . We were given a tour of the place upon our arrival . Cookies were delivered to our door despite us not being present at the time . Breakfast was tasty and service was good . Location was excellent close to many interest points .
- 5/5
The room was nice and quiet and we loved the basket of cookies each night. Breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
Beautiful building, great location, the staff was fantastic, breakfast was great. Recommend it very highly .
- 5/5
Love staying here. Will be back again!
- 5/5
Cute place and we loved how relaxed everything was. Only complaint was the bed was hard.
- 5/5
Great stay in a beautiful old home!!!
- 4/5
I really loved the property itself. Very charming and the architecture is spectacular. Stayed in the Iris suite. The bathroom could use a refresh. The shower stall is permanently stained on the bottom. The cookies each night were a thoughtful and lovely touch. The breakfast was a disappointment, not the chef or the innkeeper at all who were marvelous and engaging, but the food offerings themselves were obviously pre-made and just heated up. That is the one area that you could greatly improve.
- 5/5
Great stay! Especially loved the warm cookies left at my door for an evening snack. The breakfast was great! All employees really cared.
- 5/5
Breakfast was utterly amazing! Staff was great
- 5/5
Stayed one night (3/21/2026) in room Dahlia. The room was fine. However, the bathroom door scraped the floor and it was difficult to open and close. Also, the bathroom fan was not working. Breakfast was good. Overall, it’s a nice place and we had a nice stay.
- 5/5
Convenient, comfortable, calm.
- 5/5
Parking was easy! Things were very good. Loved the cookies and breakfast.
- 3/5
Safe and easy to access
- 5/5
Clean room! Easy parking. Close to downtown Springfield!
- 4/5
About what we expected from an old facility.
- 5/5
Parking is adjacent to building. Very convenient.
- 5/5
Welcoming and comfortable.
- 5/5
Staff very friendly, fresh cookies great breakfest. old time rooms with brass pipling and old time charm
- 5/5
Great service and very friendly staff.. Fresh breakfast..
- 4/5
The room was clean, staff was very nice. But they definitely could improve on breakfast.
- 5/5
The B&B was charming 19th century and an easy walk to the sights. My tough critic 14 year old son loved it. I’d go back again!
- 5/5
Cozy and comfortable! Great stay!
- 5/5
I believe this is my 4th or 5th time back for I lost count due to businesses trip. I LOVE this place. Never disappointed in this place.
- 5/5
The staff was great, the hotel was quiet, breakfast was delicious. I ordered chocolate covered strawberries that were in the room on arrival and were also delicious
- 5/5
always a great experience at the Inn
- 4/5
Very clean rooms! Beautiful facility. Kind and helpful staff. Food was delicious! The cookie delivery to your door was a fantastic perk! It would have been 5 stars, but we were woken up early in the morning by loud music that we believe was coming from the kitchen.
- 5/5
Staff was extremely helpful and explained everything well. And, loved the basket of warm cookies!!!! Nice and quiet, too.
- 5/5
Yes, Yes and Yes!
- 5/5
Great breakfast!
- 5/5
Great old hotel, quiet and clean, close to meetings and capital.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff. Beautiful building. Excellent breakfast.
- 3/5
The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, but that is honestly why this B&B even received 3 stars. I booked here because of its high rating, but I have to honest for my fellow travelers - I would not stay here even though it pains me to say this because the staff were really amazing people. The room, the lounge and the food were just not good. Sorry.
- 5/5
loved it all and Carrie was the best! loved the fresh baked cookies! Will stay again when in Springfield IL!
- 3/5
We've visited the Inn for years and it seems like it could use some TLC. Paint touch ups and new curtains could be used desperately. We couldn't get the fireplace to work and we had bulbs burnt out in thr bathroom. Dissapointed that they stopped the wine and cheese hour and replaced it what looked like a single serving bowl of chips and salsa. Also wish they still included a complementary water bottle since we were in the Bell house not attached to main building. Dissapointed they no longer have robes in the rooms. It would have been so nice since they have the jet tubs. Lastly, the breakfast chef was nice and personable, but the breakfast was cold.
- 4/5
Staff was courteous and accomodating to dietary needs. A few roaches were found in the room and the bedspread was well worn. The hotel had a lot of charm and class however. It was beautiful.
- 5/5
The room was spotless. The amenities were fantastic. We had the Hyacinth room and it had a jetted whirlpool tub, and a fireplace next to the bed. There was a beautiful breakfast in the morning and fresh cookies at night. It was a cozy, historic, quaint inn. It made this made our trip.
- 5/5
The staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast was amazing!
- 5/5
Safe, snug and lovely place to stay. Amazing location. I love this place.
- 5/5
everything is great , nice clean room. very hospitable staff. great breakfast!!
- 5/5
The staff was excellent and extremely helpful. The room was spacious
- 5/5
It's a nice place! Everything is great!
- 5/5
Great place very cute and cozy. Rooms are clean and very unique
- 5/5
Awesome.
- 5/5
It was an extremely comfortable and quiet room. Carrie was excellent upon my arrival and helpful during my stay. Overall this is a great old building and very well maintained.
- 5/5
The suite was very clean! The breakfast was amazing!
- 5/5
My 3rd time back for business in the past 5 mths. Just LOVE THIS PLACE! My room 302 this time the coffee machine didn't work at all. I even unplugged it and retried it several different ways of trying to get coffee. It would only spit few drops out then shut off. Others wise NO other complaints ever! Can't wait for me have to come back and stay!
- 5/5
Great staff, clean rooms. The cookies were very good!!!
- 5/5
He was friendly and helpful! I should remember his name. He is a huge asset
- 5/5
Facility was charming and clean, the staff welcoming and the welcome snack and evening cookies were lovely,
- 5/5
Very nice boutique hotel in convenient location. Great breakfast!
- 4/5
Tasty hot breakfast of scrambled eggs, biscuits &gravey with a side of fresh strawberries- excellent!!
- 5/5
Beautifully restored apartment building in the city of Springfield. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was hot and individually prepared. One of the best stays we have experienced!
- 5/5
Very comfortable. The cookies in the evening are a nice touch.
- 4/5
An historic old property with the charm of the old mid-west. A wonderful breakfast with a live cook! Centrally located.
- 5/5
Great staff! Wonderful breakfast! Unique hotel in a great location.
- 5/5
The breakfast was hot and delicious. The room Delphinium was spacious, clean and very comfortable.
- 5/5
Lovely place to stay in Springfield. They’ve done an excellent job with the decor. It’s very quiet and clean, and it’s nice to have both free parking and free full breakfast. Great location.
- 5/5
Recommend to everyone
- 5/5
Upon arrival we were greeted by staff and they gave us lots of information about the history of the house, which was very interesting. The room was clean and comfortable. The decor is period and it was fun to shower in a claw foot tub original to the home. The breakfast was delicious! Individuality prepared and served fresh! Within walking distance to many of the Lincoln attractions. The Lincoln Presidential museum (suggested by hotel staff) is a must see! Such an enjoyable stay we will be booking it again for our return journey!
- 5/5
The staff were remarkably kind and accommodating. We arrived in the early evening for a funeral the next morning. They allowed us to leave our car in their lot after we checked out so we could walk to the service at a nearby church. Breakfast was delicious. It was lovely to stay in a proper B&B.
- 5/5
Plenty of on site parking, well lite. Only downside is a nearby train that we could hear, periodically through the early morning hours.
- 5/5
Beautiful historic hotel in a quaint walkable neighborhood. We loved everything about it.
- 5/5
Fun accommodations in downtown Springfield. Clean and comfortable with wonderful staff and a fabulous freshly prepared breakfast every morning.
- 5/5
Convenient walking to downtown. Friendly staff.
- 4/5
Lovely older property located in the heart of Springfield. Very close to the Lincoln presidential library/museum, which was a great stop. Only critique goes needs paint touchup cleaning behind the toilet a little better.
- 5/5
This place is adorable, with period pieces and lovely balconies. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast was made to order in style.
- 5/5
It was absolutely beautiful stay and very warm and welcoming wish we had longer there
- 5/5
The architecture and interior of this historic property is beautiful. It was built in 1990 as apartments and later converted into this 7-room Bed and Breakfast. We stayed in the Rose room, which had a comfy large sofa and 4-poster bed that was so comfortable - slept so well! This room has both a jetted bathtub and a large shower with dual shower heads. The breakfast was very nice; scrambled eggs and french toast but also continental if you want to grab and go. We had yummy chocolate chip cookies waiting for us. So appreciative of this small but wonderful surprise.
- 5/5
delicious breakfast, friendly staff
- 5/5
Interesting property with exceptionally nice and attentive staff. We enjoyed our breakfast that Scott prepared. This is an old historic property with lovely vintage feel.
- 1/5
They put me out in single room (out by the garage). No security. I was traveling alone. Not what I had registered for.
- 4/5
This is a really nice property and a well-preserved piece of history. Our rooms were very nice, clean, and the beds comfortable. Loved the experience. I would have rated it a full 10 but the internet was so slow it was not useable. Over all it was a pleasant stop on a very long road trip.
- 5/5
My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at this historic hotel. The building is beautifully maintained with lovely antique furniture throughout. We ate breakfast twice during our stay and both times the food was delicious and the portions were generous. The location is convieniently located within walking distance of several areas of interest. The staff was friendly and helpful. The chocolate chip cookies that were delivered to our door each night was a nice touch. My only complaint is that there was very little empty surface space in the Iris room to place belongings. A small table with nothing on it would be a welcome addition.
- 5/5
Definitely my favorite place to stay in Springfield. Love the people, breakfast, rooms, cookies, location. Highly recommended.
- 5/5
Quaint, quiet, charm, character! Excellent service and food. They even bring you fresh baked cookies at night!
- 5/5
Location, history, parking, amenities
- 5/5
Beautiful!
- 5/5
Wonderful little hotel with plenty of attention to detail to make for a memorable stay. Rooms were uniquely decorated and the staff was very welcoming and engaging. Wish we could have stayed longer but will be back.
- 5/5
FYI: others mentioned train horns that could be annoying but they stopped in the evening until 6 am or so. You may need insect spray -we got bit up on veranda in evening.
- 5/5
Staff friendly and made me comfortable during stay in a new place.
- 5/5
Great location for visiting downtown and Lincoln home and museum. Quaint older building with lots of character and personality. Not plastic like the modern chains. Breakfast very good and just right.
- 5/5
While the cost was more than I preferred, the accommodations met ALL of our wants, needs and desires.
- 5/5
We enjoyed the room and the privacy
- 5/5
it was better than i could imagine, great place, people
- 5/5
Creaky, but it is an old building, tub is a littke dated but nice abd big
- 5/5
Beautiful old building with antique furniture and fireplaces in rooms.
- 5/5
Breakfast is very good. Can walk to Lincoln historic sites.
- 5/5
I was AMAZING and quiet for me. The service and staff was super friendly and helpful. LOVED the food and the room was more than I had ever expected. I will for sure stay again when I come back into town. Thank you. By the way the cookies in evening time with the tomorrows forecast was so amazing sweet. LOVE IT!!! THANK YOU!
- 4/5
The cookies at night were a nice touch and they were tasty. I had high expectations for breakfast given the many positive reviews, but it fell short due to bacon being barely warm.
- 5/5
Love the relaxed vibe and that your place has so much of its original charachter. The beds were super comfy. It would be nice to have a couple of spare blankets though. Super yummy cookies delivered to your door ♥️
- 5/5
Warm. Baked chocolate chip Cookies in the evening & our breakfast was soo good!
- 5/5
Very comfortable place to stay. Great service, friendly hotel staffs, good breakfast, and the hotel baked cookies are so delicious.
- 5/5
Room has a private jetted hot tub.
- 5/5
The gladiolus suite is a full blown clean apartment with two bedrooms, huge living room, one bath, large covered porch. No kitchen but there is a fridge and microwave for all on the floor to use. Delicious hot breakfast. Really impressive
- 5/5
The hot breakfast was delicious and served elegantly. All of the rooms were beautiful; I loved the private patio where my husband and I could sit outside and read with a snack. My husband walked to the Lincoln museum, very easy walk. The bed was comfortable. I would highly recommend this place.
- 5/5
Such a charming place. We loved the throwback feel to the place. It feels as though you step back into another era. The breakfast was very good and the staff was excellent.
- 5/5
Exceeded expectations
- 5/5
This property is a renovated 1909 building that maintains the old time feel: wood floors, grand staircase, claw-foot bathtub, creaking floors, heavy wood doors, community spaces, etc. The hotel is well-maintained and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. If you like historic buildings and enjoy staying in a hotel of yesteryear, this is your place. If you are looking for a modern day hotel, this would not be the place for you! The hotel location is excellent; walking distance from many of the area historic sites, restaurants and bars.
- 5/5
Incredible service and staff. The nicest breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. Historic building was charming and one of the best parts of our Springfield trip.
- 5/5
This is our second time to stay here. Its convenient to various locations in the city. The staff is great and breakfast is always enjoyable and I love the antique charm of the entire hotel.
- 5/5
Upon arrival back the room was well stocked and cleaned to perfection. Local papers and travel maps were provided to navigate around the locations near the establishment. Fresh Baked Cookies were dropped off after a bit of travel around town and morning breakfast was top notch. If I were to stay anywhere local again I would definitely look for availability here.
- 5/5
Beautifully restored B and B. Friendly staff. Great breakfast
- 4/5
Great location.
- 4/5
Breakfast was cooked and served hot, thank you!
- 5/5
I love this place! I have always had a great experience staying here.
- 4/5
Friendly, accommodating staff.
- 5/5
This is our 2nd time staying here. Its comfortable, clean and attractive.
- 5/5
Love, love loved this unique place! Enjoyed it so much that we decided to make a reservation to stay there on our way back home. Breakfast each morning was a treat!
- 5/5
What a quaint Inn! Our Innkeeper Carrie was lovely and her basket of chocolate chunk cookies for a bed snack were divine! Breakfast was yummy! Enjoyed our Magnolia room with six pillows a king size comfy bed and big jacuzzi tube! Charmed!
- 5/5
We loved our stay and the personal touches like having snacks in the afternoon, fresh baked cookies delivered to your door in the evening and delicious breakfasts. The location is walking distance to all of downtown which made it super convenient as we love to walk versus trying to find parking.
- 5/5
A delicious breakfast, afternoon snacks, incredible evening cookies (delivered to the room!), a wonderfully historic site, engaging staff, convenient to the downtown historic locations and museums, and at less than half the cost of a commercial hotels in further, less convenient and less interesting, locations. We stayed our first night en route to places west, and immediately reserved for our return drive.
- 3/5
My room needed some updating. The bathroom door wouldn't close at all. The door scraped along the bottom of the floor and it was impossible to close. If I was staying there with another person it would have been totally unacceptable. A bedside lamp was loose and almost fell over. The air conditioning system couldn't be modified. You couldn't turn it down so I had to turn it off. I only saw the staff at the front desk when I checked in and out. They were never around. I know it's an old building but there were definite issues so I won't be going back there.
- 5/5
Beautiful restored house with all the touches of home. Definitely would stay there again .
- 5/5
We really enjoyed this
- 5/5
Impeccable customer service Breakfast was awesome had a choice of times Provided 2 tickets for local venue for 2 coffees or 2 drinks Cookies at Departure - melt in your mouth I’d recommend to all don’t miss this treasure in Springfield
- 5/5
Love staying here! Great service and breakfast!
- 5/5
The sweetness and stateliness of this historic hotel was wonderful. I recommend it. Clean, good food and an excellent location.
- 5/5
The sweetness and stateliness of this historic hotel was wonderful. I recommend it. Clean, good food and an excellent location.
- 5/5
Excellent experience is staying in downtown Springfield!
- 5/5
Free homemade chocolate chip cookies brought to our door hot at 8:00.pm!!
- 5/5
Nice impromptu stop near Capitol area
- 5/5
Warm and friendly, restful, quaint--and tasty breakfasts!
- 5/5
Great breakfast
- 5/5
Wonderful stay! The staff was very accommodating and it was a beautiful space!
- 3/5
The room itself was comfortable. The bathroom was hazardous with wet tile floor and old style bathtub that was hard to get in. The shower curtain was difficult to use. The only mirror in the room was a small bathroom mirror that was set too high. I had to stand on two pillows to be able to see myself. Also, there were two holes in the sheets. One was rather large, which was unacceptable. Not sure how you could overlook a ripped sheet. Breakfast was good.
- 5/5
Perfectly lovely spot!!!!
- 4/5
Layout of the Lavender Suite was a little awkward. There was only a single couch to sit on and it was not in a good location in the room, plus the cushions were very worn. Would have been nice to have a chair to sit on although I don't know where you would put it in the room. Outdoor furniture was nice, but it was very dirty so that made it unusable. Breakfast was excellent and staff was friendly/helpful.
- 5/5
A few minor complaints. The TV took about a half hour to set up and get working properly. There's a "business center" that had a computer that didn't work. The showerhead in the jetted tub wasn't working but then it turned out that it was working but they hadn't taken down the sign. Overall though, it's a really solid historic property and I will stay here again.
- 5/5
Great place. Very classy with helpful staff. The room was a great value. Will stay again.
- 5/5
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
The inn is just lovely, with beautiful old woodwork and charming rooms. Our room was so comfortable, the staff was amazing, and the location is minutes away from attractions and dining. Breakfast was just right and the evening cookies were SO good; a touch that made us feel so welcome. We will definitely come back!
- 4/5
It was a nice area and quiet I did not like the fact that someone who worked there came in our room when we were not there and all our belongins were there and put a basket and small letter on a chair ? Not sure who did this but why? Also very dusty and dark space and screen door slammed very hard
- 4/5
Pleasant stay. Being a few blocks from the train tracks the Amtrak train horns into the night were annoying. It is what it is.
- 5/5
this is the best place to stay
- 3/5
Beautiful hotel and great location. Strange check in with new employee knew very little about the hotel or set up. Shame no amenities such as a bar on site. Lovely touches of warm cookies before bedtime but other areas really lacking - need to get the balance right! Shower didn’t work and tub took a good half an hour to fill half way!
- 5/5
Loved the Inn, we will return
- 4/5
Convenient location, friendly staff
- 5/5
Beautiful old property, close to downtown sights. Very comfortable.
- 5/5
Nice older building with modern updates. Very close to RR tracks so you will likely get woken at least once during the night. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and the coffee was really good too!
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay! Unique, walkable to all the downtown sites.
- 5/5
Loved this place. We weren't sure what to expect. What a surprise.
- 5/5
Great history and staff
- 4/5
The property is well maintained for being an older house. Each room has unique character and charm. Beautifully decorated. The only issue I had was with the heating in my room. It was blowing cold air. Staff had to come to my room 3 different times to try to fix the problem. They were not successful because the room was either freezing cold or extremely hot. Eventually they moved me to a different room.
- 5/5
I don't think I could have picked a better place to have our honeymoon. We stayed in the bell house. Off back to ourselves, private decks, nice hottub in our room. The staff was amazing.
- 5/5
Wonderful property. It is a quaint inn and I felt at home. The staff left warm cookies on my door at night and made sure you had what you needed.
- 4/5
Very comfortable stay while visiting the Springfield area.
- 5/5
We had a great stay. Cookies every night and a great little breakfast, handmade, in the morning. It's nice staying in a hotel that's not a huge chain. People are more personable and the overall experience is just better.
- 5/5
Great visit, very accomodating! Cookies delivered to the room each night, delicious breakfast every morning, friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed, great shower, free drink tokens to the local bars/coffee house. Will definitely stay again if im in town. Thank you!
- 5/5
Beautiful property!!
- 4/5
One night stay and everything was very nice.
- 2/5
Arrived @ 3.45pm-front door locked, no way to get in the lobby. Inn keeper emergency phone number not answered. Not a pleasant start
- 4/5
This was a charming and historic inn with friendly staff who seemed genuinely welcoming, caring for the guest experience and for the property. A lit fireplace in the common parlor area provided wonderful ambiance. Cookies in the evening were a yummy treat, and the freshly prepared, hot breakfast was delicious. Each room is uniquely furnished and equipped. The room we stayed in this time (our second stay here) did not have the two chairs we expected based on pictures provided online here. This mattered to us when choosing from among the many lovely rooms, though it might not matter to everyone. We appreciated that a staff member located a chair we could temporarily use instead. We look forward to visiting the inn again.
