Sink was broken and backed up. No plunger or person to fix sink. Towels were very small. Appeared to have drug addicts residing on opposite side of hotel, referred to as "local hotel guests." Hotel was under some type of renovation.

It was clean inside our room No signs to where to go. You pull in and you see rolls of carpet and other items. It was not very appealing. Parking lot was not very clear on how to park. Lines were every 2 ft. Inside, lobby was too big and not clear where to go. Staff, was hard to listen to due to not able to speak English well enough to get answers. No amenities for the price, even though they had space. Room, overall it was clean but out dated. Our ceiling was chipping away, TV only gave us 2-4 channels on a good hour. Jacuzzi was alright, however there were supposed to have soap, shampoo and conditioner for the shower and it was empty!

I was only staying one night so it was fine for my needs, but the site was really in bad shape. At least the bed linens were clean. Wifi was barely existent, but if you found it, I was able to check email. Didn't test out the TV or bath. It's ok to crash, but beware of the site and the area in town. I was also not traveling with a car, which I might be concerned about leaving. The check in staff was really nice and had some great local recommendations.

We enjoyed our stay here and Vijay was very kind to us and offered us early check in offered water and upon check out, took great care of our bags to continue exploring more of the town. Everything worked out well along with clean and comfortable room with ancient feel to it. Also, it's walking distance from the state capitals museums and more. We would stay here again!

Stayed for the weekend for St Patrick's festivities, rooms were clean and renovated. My room was affordable, had a king size bed and a Jacuzzi. Slept like a rock after the festivities and the check in/out times were reasonable. Had an amazing location and unbeatable for the price. Also don't have to go all the way out the building to smoke as the rooms are located on balconies. 10/10 would recommend.

The room was spacious & the hot tub worked. Everything else was a disaster. The blankets on the bed were not clean and super thin. I have pictures to prove it. There was stains including blood stains on the pillows. I called to have the sheets replaced in the morning and when they did the replacement the new sheets were just stained. No blood stains this time, so i guess progress. The elevators didn’t work, there was cracks in the walls inside the room. There was black stains on the tv, and the view made it look like i was staying next to crackhouses. I feel like the room should have been 200 dollars less than what i paid for. The staff was courteous so thats why im giving one star.

If looking for downtown convenience in a basic hotel room, this is a decent option at this price point. Clean room, comfortable bed, shower with good pressure and plenty of hot water. Refrigerator and microwave a bonus. Dated building with little quirks of another era like no bedside outlets, but evidence of facility improvements underway. Main complaint is the WiFi is awful. Slow signal and service comes and goes. If internet is important to you for work or otherwise, you will find a stay here frustrating. If mainly coming to see the tourist sites, it is a convenient location for walking downtown with public transport links nearby. Worth considering for the price.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly. However, during my stay, there was no hot water (when I asked about this, staff said that this was being worked on). Also, it's an older building and like many motels from this time, I'm sure smoking was once allowed indoors. The room didn't overtly smell of smoke, but I'm sensitive to smoke and I could tell smoke had permeated the room (the drapes? the bedspread?) because of the severe headache that I had in the morning. In addition, possibly related to the hot water problem, water ran through the pipes loudly every 30 minutes or so, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. I am sympathetic to the owners/managers' efforts, but I would not recommend this facility.

Fantastic location!!! Walk to EVERYTHING downtown. Next to train tracks, you will hear every train. I like that and don’t wake for the night trains! You? Room newly but simple and basic reno, except not the bathroom yet. Room was spotless and functional and big. New owners are fantastic, but fixing up what had been a dilapidated hotel takes time and money so if you’re needing perfection stay elsewhere (& pay accordingly!). If you want an imperfect work in progress place to stay for a really good price with great management doing their best with the resources they have, stay here! In brief: quiet except the trains; fantastic location; great value for $$; functional and clean; bathroom in desperate need of paint, but everything works, including hot water; good management; raise issues and they’ll be resolved, if you don’t speak up, they’re too busy to imagine your problems and you won’t get them fixed. It’s a huge but worthwhile project, but the staff are humans, not Apollo…😁

Really great stay here. The manager/owner went above and beyond multiple times to make my time in Springfield pleasant and comfortable. Took a star off because it’s an older property that is in need of renovating (shower curtain rod was broken, bathroom walls were peeling, not enough outlets near bed), but there was evidence that they have started that process and the room seemed clean. Some noise from the train, but the AC fan drowned out most other noise. Walkable area that suited my needs with excellent service.

Location is excellent. A lot of parking space available. Staff welcoming and friendly. We were two couples and rented two rooms. One was absolutely fine, old-fashion decoration but clean. The other room had an unpleasant smell that I couldn't recognise. The vinyl flooring was poorly installed; water filtered down from mopping and it goes out again when walking around so the floor got quite messy very quickly. The building is quite abandoned. There was a box with naloxone in the hallway, makes me wonder what goes on in there. I wouldn't stay there again.

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. There was visible mold in the bathroom, the bed sheets were dirty, and the paint on the walls was peeling. The price was very economical. Front desk staff were very nice and kind! The room was not fancy but suitable for a nights stay for early morning procedure at a nearby hospital! Equipped with a frig, microwave, tv, roomy closet, and newer flooring. However there was a large hole in the arm on an overstuffed chair. The walkway, outside on the 2nd floor rooms were busted and could be a fall hazard for some ppl. We parked under an awning but there was a huge sign stating the facility was not responsible for damaged vehicles. We had no problems with our vehicle. Overall, an ok stay for what we needed but if I was visiting downtown Springfield for visiting for a few days while touring Lincoln sights, I would not stay there.

It was freezing in the room. They had the heat off and I blasted it all the way and even when by the time i checked out it still was freezing.

The lack of security and the concerning presence of unfamiliar individuals made it impossible to stay. Families should avoid this hotel if they value their peace of mind.

Almost froze to death. Heat barely worked in the room. All of the lamps were unplugged when I went into my room. So I had to get them plugged in before I could see anything. The phone in the room did not work. The secondary door latch was busted. Will not stay here again.

Between the train, the coming and going of a particular vehicle and the paper thin walls, there was nothing remotely quiet. The nearly sheer towels left so much lint it took the ancient blow dryer to get it off. The 'coffee maker' heats the water then shuts off so the coffee gets cold. Check in was slow and disorganized.
