Quality Inn & Suites at Tropicana Field

Terrible! I promise you will regret staying here. The ONLY positive this property has is the very nice young lady at the front desk. Has NO water pressure to speak of. Could not brush my teeth at the sink. Woke up one morning and my bathroom floor was flooded. Entire place was really sketchy. Elevator felt and sounded like it was going to strand you. Dirty, nasty. Go ahead and stay there and see what you think.

The front-desk staff members were friendly and polite. Our beds were comfortable and clean. The property and rooms are very old. Breakfast was okay - not great and not terrible. Many working men stay here.

No staff used kiosk took 30 min to check in. Remote staff Internet kept crashing. Room is old and had old AC VERY HUMID😱.

I would like to begin with the staff was very helpful and allowed us to check in around 1 pm instead of 3 pm. First glance the room was spacious and mostly clean. No bad smells. After unpacking and settling in we only had 2 towels in the 2 bedroom suite that slept 6. Then the pull out didn't have a blanket or a pillow. The front desk employees were very nice and got us a blanket. The full kitchen only had 2 small plates and one plastic bowel. That was disappointing and the silverware was bent and or rusty. The pool area had no towels and was very dirty. People were rude and drinking and smoking in the pool. The smoking area was directly on the other side of a fence so all the cigarette and other smoke came directly to the shallow end of the pool. As we were headed to family reunion our door wouldn't lock they fixed it then it happened again Sunday morning. Lastly the the strip on the floor of the bathroom was not glued down and my fiance tripped landing on her knees. Again the employees were very nice for the most part but the rest of the stay was disappointment after disappointment.

The AC in room 117 is incredibly loud and on its last leg. Couldn’t sleep because it was so loud.

Good for the price. The room was decently clean, clean enough. The in-room coffee machine was missing apart so we couldn’t make coffee but they had coffee in the breakfast room so that’s not so bad. A light in the bathroom was flickering when we arrived but then went out. There was still a second light, so also not so terrible. We swam in the pool. Not too bad overall

I have requested a refund for my stay. The room was clean but unsafe. We had to leave because my spouse or myself felt quite unsafe there. There was gunfire in the middle of the night smoke bellowing into our rooms from whoever smoking next to us and the doors didn't even close completely to the point where we had to put a chair up against the door. The air conditioner sounded like a freight train in the middle of the room. The mattress is probably something out of the '50s. But the staff was friendly

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a dog. It was nothing like the pictures. I feel I should be paid for staying over night. NEVER AGAIN!

I booked this hotel because it was “at Tropicana Field.” I thought we would be able to walk to the stadium, but it was 3 miles away, and did not have a shuttle. I wouldn’t say the hotel is in the ghetto, but it’s not in the best area. The room we were placed in was in a corner by where they keep supplies. Since we were there for a week on vacation, we had hopes of sleeping in each day. We were abruptly woken up each morning before 9am, while the staff got their cleaning carts together. They were very loud every morning. The breakfast was lacking, only waffles, cereal, and mini bagels. The room was very outdated. We had a shower stall which was nice and big, but there were no shelves to place our soaps, etc. The room didn’t even have a box of tissues. The bed was awful. It had a metal base, and the mattress felt like we were sleeping directly on the box spring. It was the most uncomfortable week of sleeping in my almost 50 years. The aroma of marijuana was present throughout the property. Some of the guests were very sketchy. Definitely would not recommend this hotel.

The place is terrifying. The room smelled, was damp and musty. Crack under the door letting more light thru than the actual light fixtures in the room which is perfect for inviting FL critters inside. Bathroom was gross, the floor was gross, the entire room gave negative energy + bad vibes in general like unspeakable things have happened there. 2 towels for a 3 person stay. Bed was on a cheap metal frame than clanked / banged every time you rolled over or got your feet to close to it. Socks were filthy after walking from the bed to the bathroom. Plastic prison chairs. Could NOT WAIT to get out of there. Night-staff felt bothered we were there — high strung but also burdened.

But property and room were clean, pool was decent, staff were wonderful!

The area can't be helped we wanted to be close to tropicana field. It was heavy traffic, loud, didn't sleep well the first night and drove back to daytona after the game the second night we decided not to stay. It's old, the area felt unsafe. When I asked for 0 balance for receipt, they said the towel is too dirty. I told them it was their floor in the bedroom that was too dirty since i was in barefoot. The front desk guy was charging me $15 for the towels. I said if you will not remove that charge give me the towel instead. I told them I got a lot to complain but I kept my mouth shut bec the price was cheaper. My husband found pubic hair on a clean towel! The shower area has rusts. The main door to the bedroom is slightly open at the bottom like someone kicked it in. I told them I will report them to corporate and I was talking to corporate already infront of the front desk and someone stepped in and waived the $15. I was gonna ask corporate to give me a free night instead if they don’t waive that towel.

Really loved the rooms and hotel staff. Very welcoming and surrounded by restaurants and other big businesses. Would definitely come back to stay if in Florida again.

I went to breakfast the morning of checkout off property and when I returned housekeeping had already entered my room and started resetting it before I checked out. That was a pretty big demerit in my book. The housekeepers were extremely apologetic and indicated that the front desk told them I checked out. The continental breakfast could definitely use some upgrades.

First of all I’m rating it a 1 because how are you going to just cancel a reservation when I had it weeks in advance, all cause you tried to bill me and couldn’t ? Instead of calling me you just canceled so when I got to Tampa after driving for 5 hours I was left with my 3 month old nephew with no room to sleep in ! Absolutely ridiculous, next time call before canceling. And if your reservation gets canceled go to Daysinn it’s down the block and it was probably better then here.

Staff was pleasant, however, we left an expensive full size memory foam pillow with a checkerboard pillowcase in the room. We were disappointed that housekeeping did not turn it in to the front office. The AC unit was somewhat noisy and the exterior door to the room had a visible crack under the bottom. Pool was nice.

There was a misleading pic revealing a one bedroom suite on hotels.com... This is what led me to purchase this stay over another stay. I would not have paid extra if Id have know it was a normal suite. I tried to look for it again, so I could complain to the manager, but I couldnt find it.

Our bathtub was dirty, I found a hair in it and we only had 2 hand towels and 2 washcloths, we didn’t have any towels to shower.

We would not recommend, or return.

Despite the Hotels.com site claiming there was a hot tub, it has not been operable “for years”, according to staff. This hotel is miles away from Tropicana Field. Beds are very comfortable but the floor was not very clean.

Pool was so dirty . The bathtub looked dirty, but I believe it’s just old. The room we stayed in was surprisingly big because I got two beds with sofa so plenty of space. They knew 4 people were staying but only had 2 towels and had to call for at least 2 more. Breakfast was better than nothing at all, so we made it work. It has potential I guess but for one night we worked with it. For a last minute idea, it was ok, not sure if I’d stay again or not. Check in staff was nice, in the morning.. soso

The room was pretty gross, bathroom floor was covered in hair and it was obvious it wasn’t swept or mopped. Hair in bathtub and sink. The bedding had yellow stains. Floor was sticky. Room was extremely humid and wet feeling even with AC cranked up high. Breakfast had no protein, carbs only. Waffles were good but that was your only option besides cold cereal and toast. No eggs or sausage or anything like that. The staff was nice and welcoming. Convenient location.

After a long day we got our showers completed. I went to pull back the bedding and noticed dirt and more I'm a sheets. I called the front desk and asked for a whole set of king size sheets to be brought up to our room. After approximately 15 minutes, it was apparent that no one was going to bring us bedding. I sent my husband down to the front desk a younger gentleman working that night got him what he thought we needed. Once we started taking the sheets off the bed the mattress pad was even more disgusting, down to the mattress. After a few trips down to the front desk we finally got all of the bedding we needed probably an hour later we climbed into bed. In the court area going down to the desk several times. Some fellow guests had been out smoking their pot. Air conditioner sucking it in bringing it into the room. We were not happy that night at all.

The room was okay. The advertised buffet breakfast was minimal. There was nothing available for anyone with any food alergies.

Stayed March 2026. Hotel is NOT what it shows on websites. Hotel is old, outdated and dirty. The floor in our room was filthy. The tub was dirty. Tile was dirty & broken. Hotel needs to be checked for bed bugs. Hotel is supposed to be non smoking but they allow smoking of all products in the parking lot near rooms & pool.

I really enjoyed the kindness of the staff, the cleanliness of the room, and how overall safe I felt in the new city. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! Breakfast was pretty good.

If you're looking for a top hotel, this is not it. My son and I came up for the Indy race weekend and just needed a place to lay our head each evening. This was good enough for that. Very close to the parking lot for the race and affordable price tag. Rooms are not the best, broken tiles dirty painted walls etc. Don't expect more than cereal, toast or waffles for breakfast. We only ate at the hotel one morning, the rest of our stay outside dining. We're use to camping so a toilet and shower is good enough for us. Staff was top notch, helping us out with everything we needed.

The place itself is not too bad, my biggest issues was the floors being really dirty, like socks bottom turning black and seeing roaches to the point we had to go out and buy raid and spray and the whole place down and seeing then running out from everywhere.. it needs a serious upgrade and exterminator. Said no smoking but curtains and vents reeked of smoke had to also purchase odorband, mop and lysol and did a deep cleaning.

yes been meaning to contact you for a refund, I only stayed 1 night. And checked out in the morning. the door would not close correctly, and was told no one there to fix. window taped up with duct tape. AC winding and howling noise. so i would appreciate my refund back.

The front desk guy that checked me in was pleasant and helpful. But the guy that was managing the breakfast area was rude and condescending. When I went to refill my OJ at 10:00 he simply barked CLOSED! in a very nasty tone. I was still eating for crying out loud! My room was located in a dark corner of the 2nd floor right next to the service area, and the constant thumping and loud voices of staff were an ongoing irritation. However, the place was bug-free, (a major consideration in Florida), and the bed reasonably comfortable. For a one night business flop it was acceptable.

The smoking area was right next to the pool, so relaxing by the pool was filled with the lovely smell of pot. Absolutely NASTY! The hotel locked us out of our room one of the nights and we needed to get two new keys. When I arrived one night, there was ZERO parking spots available. When I asked the front desk where I should park, he said, I dunno what to tell ya. It has been a mess of a day. Later, he told me to park on the grass where there was a sign posted that my rental car would be towed if I parked there. Worst hotel stay EVER!

I checked in, went to my room (221). It had a stell odor so I sprayed lysol and left for my 9am meeting. I returned after 1pm, checked the bathroom and found q-tips on the floor next to the tub and long hairs in the sink. I laid across the bed and tried to sleep but felt very uncomfortable so I let the front desk know what the issues were then checked out and got back on the road home and pulled into the first rest area and slept in my truck for a few hours before continuing home.

Breakfast wasn't good, only had 1 muffin out, 2 bagels and a couple kinds of crappy cereal. Had waffles which were good just a crappy breakfast considering I used to work for the company and know how it should be

Jay was the manager at the desk. My friend and I are 77 and 82 years old. Jay was WONDERFUL! He was like our personal assistant assuring everything was perfect and it was! He helped carry stuff. He rescued my still running car. He upgraded our room, which was immaculate. It was the best stay I've had anywhere in a really long time. The location was great for restaurants, stores and activities. ALL of the staff was welcoming, pleasant AND helpful. I will look forward to staying here again. Expedia didn’t refund the entire stay and they should have. We had to leave a day in to our vacation due to the site not having hot water and not knowing when it would be fixed. The fact that they were wearing the stairs back together when we showed up should have been our first sign.

Got a room on the south side, close to 34th st, so their was road noise but no worse than any other hotel on this street. Front desk was friendly even though they were having an Internet issue. Got my room quickly, Room was nice, bed clean and made . Bathroom was clean and stocked. Fridge and microwave were both clean. Nice TV that hooked right up to my laptop via HDMI. Wifi was adequate, as good as any other wifi I had in a hotel. Some of the other guests did get a little boisterous in the evening but nothing to touch. They all had fun . The pool was crystal clear. The buildings are in good shape overall

The front office staff was very nice and friendly. The dining options were great and in walking distance. Parking was easily accessible. The rooms were okay but very basic...no decor. The window air conditioner was noisy even though it cooled great. No T.V. guide you just had to search randomly. The breakfast was very limited.

This property is in awful condition. Shouldn't have guests until renovations are absolutely complete. We had 2 rooms. 210,my nieces room,had cockroaches running all over. She threw away her toothbrush because so many bugs in the bathroom

The “quality” of this Quality Inn is questionable. It appears to have been quite a few decades since it was last updated. Ok if you just need a night’s rest and move on.

Very clean good size rooms. Breakfast was good, property had a fitness room and a guest laundry. Very peaceful even though it was easy access on a main road.

The room was very clean. Air was super cold, which we love. The only complaint I have would be that the beds are hard (which I like) but it looked like they were put on futon beds. All the other staff we came in contact with us were all very polite. If we are ever back in St Petersburg we will be staying again.

The rooms are clean and reasonably quiet. The beds are brutal to the point that we left a day early because my back just couldn't face another night in that horrible bed. The bathrooms are clean and spacious but you won't get service daily, they do them every 3 days. We didn't have a problem with that because we tend to tidy up after ourselves. The front desk was a mix of trying to be friendly and rather snotty. This was our second year staying at this location and I'm sad to say we won't be back.

A lot of riff raff coming and going at all hours. Stayed 5 nights and only one time did room service come. If you want more than a waffle or stale bagel skip the Continental breakfast. Hot water wasn't hot in the shower. Price wasn't too bad so it's a you get what you pay for kinda place.

The room was deplorable, very very dirty and everything was broken, rusty and dilapidated. The bathroom was disgusting and the floor was sticky and gross. We did not feel safe in this environment travelling with our family. This hotel should NOT carry the Quality Inn name, such a poor representation of the brand. Horrible value and pictures online were extremely deceiving.

While the staff was very helpful, the room itself needed a lot of help. Our particular room looks like it might be in the middle of a remodel. The original bathroom door has been"closed" with some poorly painted plywood. The bathroom has a pedestal sink with no counter. There is no toilet paper holder. Other than a bar of soap, no bathroom toiletries were available (shampoo, etc). The shower looks very old and in desperate need of some upkeep. There is no place in the shower to place soap or any items. The door to the room has a gap completely around it. There was a fabricated metal plate over the non-functioning light switch by the door which was shaved down to fit the space. The lid to the ice bucket was drilled into and covered in dirt/mold. There was no mandatory exit/emergency paperwork on the door. This room should never have been rented out!!

I’ve never stayed at such a nasty hotel for the amount we paid to stay there. On top of that the 2nd night we stayed we got locked out of our room and had to go to dinner in our bathing suits. The staff was the only thing awesome about this place. The pics online do not match what they are selling!!!

The hotel is old so there is wear and tear such as steps etc. that need repair. The counter person Tyshon was excellent. His service standard made the stay pleasant. The area make sure car does not have belongings visible.

The lady checking us in was great. Parking was easy, check in and out was simple. Breakfast was lackluster, no fruit, mostly bagels, cereal and empty waffle batter. The room smelled like mildew or something and had questionable cleanliness. Will not return.

1st Room was damaged - loose toilet. Mold. Rust. Weed smell, smoke smell, damaged Sheetrock, lamp not working, gaps in the door, dirty shower, bed excessive noise, other rooms blasting music and HVAC unit full of debris. Talked manager and 2nd room even worse. Talked manager again and 3rd room even worse if possible even after a maintenance person pre checked it for us. Last room the desk assistant came with me and was the better of all — but I should’ve forced them to just refund !!! Stay was $290.00 and NOT worth it at all.

I accidentally booked a smoking room which is my fault, we asked to the see the room to see if we could handle our 2 night stay and after going inside we could not handle how thick the smoke smell was, and not to mention one of the beds was broken. We upgraded to what they called an apartment which had a full kitchen and 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. The bathroom ceiling was peeling and hanging, there was hair all over the vanity, the floor and shower walls. The cups in the kitchen had a lipstick stain. The sheets and pillows had hair and stains. One of the beds was broken in there also.

This property is catfish! It was ok for one night and the space I needed but it definitely needs some work and updating! You can tell there was damage from storm where roof was leaking! Tub was discolored! Toilet clogged. Had a smell in the room!

The outdated property was in poor condition, was very loud and people were just randomly sitting in their cars in the parking lot for extended periods of time. Aside from the creepy vibes I feel like I got slaughtered on the price. This was the worst value in my 10 years of experience with Expedia.

Terrible stay. The area was very noisy and it felt unsafe. Everything was dirty, the beds were uncomfortable, and my shower didn’t have a shower curtain. When I finally got one from the front desk, I stepped on a piece of broken glass that was in the shower. I went to the front desk to show them the piece of glass I had in my foot and to tell them that I had bled in the shower and towels. The front desk woman was more concerned about the security deposit. She said she’d relay it to her manager, but I never heard anything.

The property looked nothing like the pictures online, they also charge an additional $100.00 deposit that was not mentioned on the website. The mini fridge was outdated and smelled rotten and leaked water so we didn’t use it, needless to say won’t ever stay there again.

Location ok. Room had some issues and for the money I paid it was disappointing. Breakfast was disappointing also.

Decent hotel for price.

Barely looked like the pictures. We walked in our room and it immediately reeked of cigarettes and the air was thick. A frat house bathroom is comparable. The floors were sticky and dirty, the bottom of my socks were black. We had to check out after our first night because it was hard to breathe.

The one upholstered chair in the room was disgusting, didn't sit in it. The mattress was the biggest joke, laid in the bed 10 minutes and I got a backache. Had to sleep sideways at the end of the bed, sucked. Oh yeah, the no smoking room smelt like a bunch of drugs have been smoked in it. Don't understand, don't you people check out the places you have on your sight??

Check in was okay, new desk clerk, but she tried. Stool wouldn't flush in the room. Contacted Manager, he said he'd move us to another room. We waited. Finally, another guy came and "fixed" the toilet, so we stayed in that room, but could only flush the toilet every hour or so. Ice machine only gave out a few ice cubes. Breakfast was okay. They have semi-updated the hotel, but it's still tired and run down.

Supposed to have been non-smoking but had a distinct Smokey odor. Had to shorten stay due to health issues. Please send refund. Thank you.

Noisy. People were taking right outside our door late night. The neighborhood was really bad and unsafe.

Terrible; left early because i did not feel safe. There are prostitutes and drug dealers. Bathroom sink was falling. No toilet paper no hot water. Room smelled awful. They say “free breakfast”, there was no breakfast at all.

If you normally have certain standards for where you stay, don’t even consider this place.

Noisy, lots of suspicious looking characters hanging around, very limited breakfast with few items, old and run down and nowhere near Tropicana Field. Plus, my room had bedbugs. At least the water, TV, AC and wifi worked and there are lots of places to eat and shop nearby. Good in a pinch. Avoid if you have a choice.

This hotel was awful! The rom was filthy the people staying were extremely loud. There wer prostitues and drug dealers meandering around all night. Due to safety we checked out a day early.

It was the dirtiest hotel i ever stayed in the room smelt musty

This hotel was good value for the money. The parking lot was busy even after midnight and it seemed like someone was sleeping in their vehicle and I was woken at 3am by a car alarm.

I mostly enjoyed my stay but unfortunately this specific hotel made things difficult for me during my trip. I had an early morning flight from Pennsylvania to Florida for my friend’s wedding and I wanted to check in early. I was willing to pay money to do so. I arrived to the hotel around 10 am and the front desk had informed me that they were sold out the night before so no rooms were available yet. Check out for guests was at 11 am and they made it seem like I would have a room before 12 pm to get ready for my friend’s wedding which had started around 1 pm. There were multiple rooms checking out and housekeepers were present, yet I didn’t get a room at this time. I had to get ready for my friend’s wedding in a grocery store bathroom due to this inconvenience. If I worked at a hotel and knew someone had arrived from out of town and was trying to get ready for a special event, then I would have accommodated them as soon as possible by freeing up a room right when the first guest checked out. That’s why I rated this property only 3 stars. They need to work on professionalism.

I'm sorry to leave a poor review, but I have to be honest in hopes of conditioning some improvements in this facility. I stayed here before, maybe 2-3 years ago, and the room I stayed in previously was remarkably clean, functional, and impressive. This time, however, the bathroom barely worked. The toilet barely flushed, the water pressure in the sink and shower was pitiful, the bathroom fan didn't work, and the ceiling tiles were missing. The regular room was tolerable; I wouldn't complain, given the price, but there needs to be a functional bathroom, at the very least. We left after one night and got a different room.
