Room smelled like animal pee. Room needs love and cleaning the walls. Dust everywhere. The bathroom was okay, the bed was okay.

We checked in after a very long travel day and the room was gross. Did not have a great smell, and we found bugs crawling on the bed! We checked out immediately and was told I wouldn’t be charged but I was and now having to deal with that.

Very hospitable staff. Room was clean, outside was well kept. Had a very restful night. Was quiet. Breakfast was great. Would recommend to friend.

The room was very nice- 2 full beds and a sitting area with a sofa. Looks like there have been many updates- new carpet, new flooring in bathroom, very clean. Some of the furniture wasn’t brand new but it was very comfortable. The staff was very nice.

The location is great There were roaches in the room that I stayed in. The room smelled funny as if it hadn't been cleaned properly. The linen needed to be updated.

I am giving this hotel a 1-star overall rating because my stay was extremely disappointing and honestly unacceptable. The biggest issue was the condition of our room. It felt very damp and had a strong mold and mildew smell the entire time we were there. It got so bad that my wife and I had to make a trip to Walmart just to buy DampRid and Lysol Air Sanitizer spray to make the room somewhat bearable. Shortly after staying there, my wife ended up getting very sick with a severe cold, and I truly believe the room conditions contributed to it. Another disappointment was the pool. It was supposed to be open during our stay, but it was closed most of the time. Even if it had been open, it was much smaller than expected anyway. The only positive part of this hotel was that they offered a free breakfast buffet and some of the staff members were friendly. Unfortunately, the breakfast itself was not good at all. There were barely any food options, the fruit was bruised and even moldy, the food tasted poorly cooked, and the drinks were extremely watery. To make matters worse, my niece ended up getting food poisoning after eating some of the breakfast that was served. Parking was also frustrating. While parking was technically free, there were barely any spaces available because most of them were constantly taken. I honestly do not understand how this hotel has so many guests with the conditions we experienced. Overall, I did not enjoy my stay whatsoever, and will never stay here again.

I didn't like that the sink in the bathroom looked like it had been previously torn from the wall and patched up badly. Also, we couldn't get the shower to come.

The room stinks! Smells like mildew, the bed is uncomfortable got my back hurting I’m supposed to be feeling refreshed! I’m mad at myself more than anything for staying but I was tired and ready for a shower!

We travel quite a bit and while there wasn’t anything terrible about the room or stay it was just “ok”. A place to sleep. There should be more towels in the room for guests especially if you aren’t coming in to make beds each day.

Room was large but was not the cleanest and had a damp smell which triggered my asthma. The staff was so very friendly. We stayed as part of a larger trip and this was close to the interstate.

The staff was very nice. The 1st room had a very strong moldy smell. You could see mold on the curtains and the wall by the air conditioner. We moved to another room. That room you could still smell mold in that room as well. I don't recommend

The hotel was fine and conveniently located. Our stay was for two days and the room was not cleaned, but apparently you must request that these days according to a sign that was posted in the room. For the money that travelers spend on hotels I don't agree with that policy.

I stayed for 3 nights. The first night was great for sleep but the pool didn't appear to be open which was a disappointment for my granddaughter. The second night I could hear the person snoring in the room next to me. I thought the rooms had firewalls on both sides. The way the rooms are set up is your bed is on the same wall as the room next to you. The breakfast bar is great with a lot of choices (hot and cold). Staff is friendly?

Front desk clerk seemed like she didn’t want to be there. Barely spoke to me while checking me in and didn’t even bother to let me know the accommodations nor the direction to the elevator. As for my room, I could have cleaned it better than they did. This is why I always travel with Lysol wipes and spray.

Good hotel for the price

Comfort Inn of Summerville, SC has always been very accommodating and clean. I love the beds and pillows. Very comfy! We have stayed here several times before and will be back.

When I got to the room there was still trash in the room . The sofa couch did not work . Mattress was ripped up and stained . The plugs didn’t work . Could not charge my phones . The sink did not work . The pool was dirty and nasty . The breakfast was ice cold .

My boyfriend and I checked out early after seeing a roach in the bathroom. I also didn’t love how the room cleaning service skipped our room twice in a row. The rooms look good at first but if you inspect at all, they are dirty. As for the front desk service… the older man is a gentleman but the young man is not made for customer service.

The hotel was a big disappointment. It is supposed to be a smoke free facility however, as soon as you walk in, you can smell the scent of cigarettes. My room walls were dirty and I saw a roach on the wall while I was in the shower. This hotel requires thorough cleaning and renovation.

We had roaches in our bathroom- property had just exterminated and still had issues with water bugs/ roaches. Housekeeping issues as well. But by Thursday a new housekeeper assigned who did really well.

There’s peeling and rippling wallpaper and rusty metal trim pieces in the dining area on the first floor which leads me to believe that there is some time of moisture issue. The staff was friendly and it was easy enough to cancel the additional nights stay. I wouldn't risk my health to stay here until the issues have been resolved.

Stayed one night of our three nights stay got up to seeing roaches in early morning hours. Staff was nice and stated they would refund us.

Comfort Inn has become our go to place to stay in Summerville. The staff is amazing and the rooms clean and well stocked. Right off the hwy with restaurants and shopping close by.

The bed was like a trampoline - everytime my husband rolled over it would wake me up because the bed was shaking so much and vice versa. Cheap mattress. The bedding was clean and they brought us fresh towels the first morning without us asking which was nice. It just lacked basic cleanliness. Honestly, Would not stay here again. Would rather spend more money elsewhere. We were trying to save some money and this place looked nice by the rating and pictures but the room nothing like the pictures.

My overall stay was great

Traveled to see my grandkids, it was a great stay. Only thing any of us had a complaint about was the chlorine in the pool. It was very overwhelming while swimming. Everything else was great.

We found a few cockroaches in our bathroom, told the front desk & they were unconcerned. The remote control for the TV didn't work & told the front desk & they were unconcerned. Wallpaper was peeling in the hallways. Curtains in our room were dirty & torn. There were just 2 handicapped parking spaces close to the front entrance. The other close spaces were reserved for Comfort members. There were 2 other spaces farther from the front entrance not near the only ramp/

The customer service was outstanding. Everyone was extremely nice and polite answering all my questions and helping us out. Beds were comfy and the shower was perfect nice and hot and great water pressure.

the staff was great! i loved the noon checkout. liked the bathroom nite light and the bedside reading lights. the bed was ok, but not as comfy as in other hotels in the same class that i have stayed at recently. Room decor was very masculine, especially the rug and dark boxy wood headboard...as for a male business traveler...ie, not really inviting. my room was directly across from the elevator and restrooms on first floor so it was very noisy. but that is probably because it was an expedia booked room. although i have had great room placement before using same app.

The pictures online did not reflect the condition of the room. It seemed dated and smelled musty and like cigarettes in the lobby and everything felt sketchy. We found dirty hand prints and smudges on the walls. Unfortunately the bathroom was the nicest part but I could not sleep in there.

Was just a one night stay but we were more than happy with the location, ease of check in and cleanliness of the hotel. Only drawback was the bed which was a little softer than my wife and I both like, but that's just a personal preference. OH - One more thing, don't confuse it with the Comfort Suites which is right around the corner!

found a roach crawling out of the microwave and one crawling on the wall called front desk and they had no bug spray or another room to move me to. checked out next morning. took the bugs to the front desk in a platic bag

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. The price was good so perhaps my expectations were low. The front desk worker was very friendly and helpful. We came in so late that she was also there in the morning at breakfast. It's clear the hotel management takes pride in their property. It shows in the nice clean rooms, hallways and common areas. We would definitely stay there again. My only regret was that we stayed one night!

This was our second stay and it was completely different than the first. The carpet in the hallway needs to be replaced. There were several uneven patched holes in the bathroom and room closet area. Overall we will still return.
