The room was clean and the bed sheets sparkling white. The mattress was very comfortable. Good hot water in the shower. Would be very usefull to have electric tea kettle in the room. The coffee maker that is in the room does not heat water properly, only makes it warm even if you have it on for 30 minutes. It was the same problem when i stayed here last time.
- 3/5
It was nice to have a room with carpet this time, but they should have some better chairs with a padded backrest. I used a seat cushion and one of the pillows on the back, which was more comfortable. The best way to keep the room warm is to leave the heater on because it does not remain that way the entire time. The staff was friendly, helpful, and understanding when the key card was not opening the door and I left it in the room. The smoke alarm was missing the battery and kept chirping, which I brought to the front desk when checking out to have it fixed or replaced.

I think the only cons are its a little rough around the edges, outdated exterior, but at least no rif-raf in the parking lot. The room wasnt "spotless" but clean enough for a general stay. Shower is VERY outdated, definitely early 80's vibes. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and probably would stay again if i was in the area.

So. If you're looking for the most basic of motels, literally just a bed for the night and maybe a television and a place to charge your phone, this is it. The room was small but clean, and very quiet! I didn't hear a peep from anyone in any other rooms, and nothing from the freeway (because it is literally right next to 101). The bed was actually fairly comfortable. Surprisingly the room had both a fridge (that actually kept things cold) and a microwave. Our room was the accessible room with the roll-in shower, and the shower had zero water pressure, so that was a definite drawback. The sink had great water pressure so I was hoping the shower would be the same, but alas, it was not to be.There was also no light in the shower, but enough light bled through from the rest of the bathroom that it wasn't too much of an issue.Denny's is right next door if you need food, and the Shell down the road is open 24 hours if you just need a soda or a candy bar in the middle of the night, Staff is friendly (kind of awkward, but all nice guys) and happy to provide extra towels or pillows if you need them,
- 4/5
This was a nice place to stay and more parking was available because there did not appear to be a lot of occupants on a weekday. I like any room with carpet. I always check to make sure there is hot water from the sink and shower, before using them. The chairs did not have a soft backrest, but using one of the pillows helped. Bring a pair of slippers, a box of napkins, and some liquid soap.
- 4/5
A room on the first floor is best and better with carpet. Parking is convenient without all the service trucks in the morning.

The location is great for travelers who appreciate convenience. Local gas stations, well known restaurants are walking distance. Staff is friendly and polite. The only complaint is the noise from outside and those staying next to you. Walls are so thin, you can hear everything. I would recommend getting a upstairs room nearest the end so you can negate the outside surrounding

The curtain didn’t close complete cause it was damaged at the very top. Someone else left their clothes folded in drawer (take that however way you want to…I see it as a customer not being thorough, rather than maid service .. whatever). Everything was pretty basic . There was a fridge and microwave. Fridge gets really cold. My boiled eggs froze but not my can sodas. Laundry room was closed but they had a washer and dryer outside the door. 2 bucks for either load. I would say the best thing was the dennys next door and the mini plazas (including lucky) a few blocks away. Fast food joints everywhere. You’re right next to a gas station too and there’s usually a taco truck there. All in all it was good. Basic with a few trimmings here and there.
- 4/5
Good place clean and nice
- 1/5
The bed was terrible. The bed had a sheet and a blanket that had a million cigarette holes in it. The bed cover was some cheap crap from who knows where. The bathroom had no fan, the faucet was dirty. The heater / air unit had 20 year dirt and dust on it. The room was cold.Everytime someone flushed a toilet you could hear it for 30 sec or more downstairs or on the upstairs floor.. For 76.00 it was a fkn slum. Stay away from the Vagabond hotel on Mathilda ave in S'vale ca.

Staff were nice, maid service was attentive once checked in and were friendly. However, room was not properly cleaned before arrival. Property is older, has been remodeled at some point but needs new interior paint and carpeting. Quiet stay, and decent value for money in a convenient area.

I that time the shower bench was not fixed, the toilet seat was still the wrong size, the bathroom door jamb was still loose, one chair was still missing a foot, the dresser was still torn up on the bottom. The floor was mopped, but we had roaches in the room, and we could not get an extra pillow.
- 3/5
Property is run down and needs a good cleaning and upgrade.

The place was nice and clean and reasonable price for staying on a Sunday. This place was close to where we were going that weekend.

There was a $50.00 security deposit. The rooms need home improvement as there are cracks in the room. There are washing machines in am outside room where you would have to monitor because anyone (especially the homeless who can open the washer and dryers). The light switches are not good. The bathtub/shower is dirty looking, old 1970s and needs to be improved. The toilet they put in flushed like bidet . In order to turn on the heater I had to step on a chair as the heater is located near the ceiling. The remote control for the air conditioner/heater does not indicate settings for heat.

Well staying over Thanksgiving is always a challenge. High prices low availability. This was not true where I stayed. I even had to book an extra night and the front office helped me with that. The room was clean and had fresh towels.

It’s what you would expect from a cheaper hotel. It’s old and cramped and patched together for years. It was clean ish but the duvet covers on the beds both had burns in them. Beds and pillows were hard. The upstairs room made a ton of noise just walking around and when they flushed their toilet or showered it made an awful noise in our room. All in all it served its purpose of giving us a place to sleep for the night.
- 5/5

Nice and was just renovated. Like the hard wood floors. Only complaint, the mattress was old and worn out. Other than that, everything else was okay.
- 1/5
Suffice to say, the guy who checked us in was terse and didn’t say a word. Not even greeting us politely, he seemed bored. Then come last day, some lady corners me and says “you have pets?? You have to pay the fee. You should’ve read the sign and if you didn’t read it that’s your fault.” I understand a pet fee. What I don’t understand is why it wasn’t communicated. We didn’t try to hide anything. We didn’t know and lady puts the onus on us to read signs while they should’ve known our accommodation needs. Or at least asked for it. Now, while she charged for the pet fee , she didn’t charge a penalty which was fine. I just wish there was info communicated clearly between Expedia and the inn, because this was a surprise fee And for the place itself, I mean $89 a night, what you expect? Random figures hanging about all day staring. Holes in the shower curtain and bed sheets, sticky patches on the carpet, The shower was fine but when you pulled on the tab, water was still flushing out the faucet so it was a waste. The toilet had scratches on it and peeling, the flush buttons were basically loose, no tissues, some dirt in the drawers I mean I can go on, but yeah, it’s $89/ night so it’s fine for the price
- 5/5
It is closed to my job and when I am in town I always stay here.
- 3/5
Good location near the freeway for a short stay. Reasonable accommodations given the price. Some parts were lacking like there was no latch lock for the door, and some corners were not cleaned perfectly. There is a coffee maker in the room, in addition to a refrigerator and TV. The staff is professional and courteous.

Good value. I like how the room had a separate table and desk. Clean room and a good location. I didn't use the pool but it looks legit.
- 4/5
I paid for one day and decided to extend an extra three days but dont know why I had to pay more for the same room for my extended stay. Lady at the office at least offered to reduce 3 days extended stay but still $10 more. Room had certain issues. Could not use room phone to call office and office could not call the room as one of the phone keys was stuck down probably from previous room use. AC unit was blowing hot air so constantly had to open room door for cooler from outside so had no privacy as people walking around and restaurant guests could and would look in. Not a bad room overall. Could be better with some small fixes.
- 5/5
front desk was helpful and quick. great location close to the 101 highway.

You get what you pay for. Whilst they allowed us to check in super early, the place is almost falling apart.

Vagabond is a reasonably priced motel. Thw staff is couteous and accomodating. Good bfast place Hobees is next door. I stay here when I am in the South bay.
- 5/5
The staff is always friendly, the property is close enough to walk to any needed amenities. Plus they are always very sweet to animals!
- 5/5
quiet, great place to unwind and just be...
- 2/5
The internet was terrible....could not get to many sites, including my G-mail and Amazon! One note said the admin had blocked access. I called the desk, he just replied he had service (of course, the office!) I called the tech number and she led me through some steps, but determined in my room there was poor reception, not close enough to a router. Plenty of other motels in the area; stay somewhere else!
- 2/5
One of the grossest rooms I’ve ever stayed in, I almost left but didn’t want to waste the money I’d already spent. The tub is brown, there was spit in the sink, all the fixtures have stains and dust, the remotes are sticky…I’m sorry but this place has seen better days. I know this is on the more economical end of the price scale but a deep cleaning could help a ton. Will never stay here again

The staff and family who ran this place put every bit of love into that place! For sensory issues it was amazing. If you are low budget, it is clean safe quiet. If you think your 70 is going to get you cookie cutter Hilton, no. These people remember their clients, they don’t just hand a service down the nose they are truly kind and do care!

I had a bad experience, I had stayed before there but this last time it was yesterday I suffered bites of bedbugs which I immediately went to the hospital and to take a report to the public health of the state now I live with panic and anxiety I told the manager and he only returned my deposit and I did not take any action
