Reviews
The hotel is praised for its location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. Many guests enjoyed the beach area and pools. However, some guests noted that the rooms could use a deep cleaning and updates, particularly in the bathrooms. A few guests also mentioned slow service at Sloppy Joes and noise issues.

Room was very clean and well maintained. The only issue we had was the hotel did not have any TV streaming and we were not able to connect to any of our own networks. Otherwise we were very happy!
- 4/5
Overall, great little getaway! It's an older property and has undergone Renovations since the hurricane and there are still little small Growing Pains but all in all the staff was extremely kind and helpful and the property is everything you would expect it to be for a classic Gulf Coast Florida beach getaway

Good
- 5/5
Great spot on the beach
- 5/5
Clean room and our room was walkout onto the sand. Beach chairs and towels included. Cookies in the afternoon too!!
- 4/5
Only issue was on checkout day. The shower did not have hot water and it was a Friday morning. Would go back❤️

The Beach.
- 5/5
The room was beautifully updated, the staff friendly, and the view impeccable. On site restaurant served delicious food too. I’ll go back!
- 2/5
Room was dirty, check-in was a disaster. Paid $200 for amenities that we barely used. It was quite a hike to the ocean. No complementary fruit water or candy in the lobby. No vending machines.
- 2/5
While the property is older, it needs legit repairs and not just bandaids on the problems. Parking was horrible for hotel guests one night because of a wedding on the property.
- 5/5
All Good. Excellent location and staff was terrific.

Great mother daughter trip.
- 2.5/5
Location Old hotel, door not closing all the way. Air conditioning from floor above dripping down on balcony.
- 5/5
What a gem. Everyone was really nice and helpful and it just felt like home. We will definitely be back!
- 5/5
This was our first time staying here and we loved it! We had a room with a beach view, 2 queen beds and a small kitchen area to wash our daughters bottles and cook if we chose to. The refrigerator didn’t have a freezer so I’m just glad we didn’t get anything frozen from the store but the room was still nice and clean and beds were comfortable! We had a good view to look at the beach and above the swimming pool. The beach was nice just ALOT of sand as in a little bit of a walking distance to the water so as long as you don’t mind that it was great as it gave so much more space to space out if it was crowded but luckily for us this time of year seems to be best with good weather and not a lot of schools are out so it’s not busy during the week! There are two outdoor pools and a small hot tub, both pools were very clean and nicely sized. They also had beach chairs and pool floats for babies, children and adults you could borrow which was nice because we usually end up having to bring our own. The sloppy joes restaurant was nice and my husband really enjoyed the beach bar as well. I would definitely recommend this stay.

Traveling alone for the first time, i wasnt expecting anything super nice as im only 18 and hotel options are limited. But the moment i arrived at Bilmar, the staff were very welcoming and gave my friend and i an amazing experience. They treated us as they would any other adult, and gave it their best effort to give us a 5 star experience. The hotel itself was very clean and well kept, our room was beautiful and neat, the entertainment and lounge areas were beautiful, the hotel had many attractions fit for various ages, and the beach was only a couple minutes away. If i could recommend any stay for younger adults, this would be the first place i recommend!

Carpet Needs to be replaced

Excelente atención,higiene y amabilidad de los empleados
- 5/5
The beach view from our room was perfect, rooms are a bit older but the room was very clean & everything worked. Beds were comfortable along with the pillows. We had good water pressure and it was always hot. Wi-Fi worked perfectly. The staff was super friendly & helpful. Sloppy Joes was decent, views from our table perfect, food was reasonably priced. Both pools were warm and clean. Parking included.
- 3/5
The light in our bathroom was out so we showered in complete darkness. There was no ceiling fan in the room.
- 1/5
While the facility itself is good, it is very highly priced and also comes with an added amenity fees. But the real problem for me was the way it was listed on Expedia. While I searched for Clearwater, this facility even though it is 45 minutes away (Treasure Island) is listed as Clearwater. For a tourist you don't know until you land. In this case I expect Expedia to take responsibility . While I am a long time user of Expedia this raises a serious question if I have still show loyalty in future.
- 5/5
This is by far our favorite place to stay. The beds are super comfortable! Rooms are always clean. The staff is very friendly.... I mean all the staff...including the cleaning crew and maintenance staff.Every one is always willing to stop and chat and to offer suggestions to find places to eat and things to do. The location is perfect.... You don't need a car. Access to the beach is right there. They have excellent entertainment on site. Our favorite staff our Ron Stansel...Patty and Justin at the front desk. We are always sad to leave. Nothing but the best vacation you could have for a family!!
- 4/5
The shower wasnt the best condition & the shampoo/conditioner/body wash was not high quality or full. We had to really pump to get any product. We were only here for a short weekend so it got the job done. Not bad enough to warrent a complaint. Walgreens is right acrossed the road so its super convenient to grab anything you need! I look forward to coming again and checking out more of what this beautiful area has to see!
- 4/5
It was nice!
- 5/5
The hot tub was great, and we spent a lot of time enjoying the beautiful views from the property. The bar downstairs is outstanding with a fun atmosphere, great drinks, and friendly service. We also loved having Sloppy Joe's right next door. The food was good, and the outdoor bar area was one of our favorite places to hang out and enjoy the beach vibe. The only negative thing I can mention is that the hot water in our room never got truly hot and was more warm than hot. Other than that, everything was wonderful. Live music across the street at Ricky T's was an added bonus. Their food is amazing!! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Bilmar Beach Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing beachfront getaway!
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 5/5
Good staff! Great experience!
- 4/5
There was a bunch of dead bugs in room upon checking in but I guess that’s to be expected with the beach right there and the sliding glass doors. Beach was awesome, spacious, nice firm sand. They give you chairs but not umbrellas, which would have been nice. Area was fine, Publix and Walgreens across street but did not find a good coffee shop within walking distance. The ice cream from across the street called sweet spot was excellent though.
- 5/5
Great view of beach clean room’s staff was very helpful was just a fine oiled machine there all was excellent
- 2/5
For the price you pay to stay place needs to be up to date is too old and it doesn’t have any amenities for nobody adults or kids. The beds are super old mattress terrible. Do NOT like it and a lot people staying there this weekend has the same opinions !
- 3/5
The amenities were almost nonexistent. The towels for the pool were only available at one end of the property. The other pool was at the other end of the property. If you didn’t want to traipse from one end to the other, you just went without. We got a beach front room but there were no chairs specifically for our room. It was just really disappointing.
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
The location was perfect. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially housekeeping. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the convenience of Sloppy Joe's and many other stores and restaurants right across the street. Dispite having the world's loudest, rudest toilet (lol) we would stay there again and again.
- 5/5
Perfect beach front property with 2 restaurants and two pools!
- 3/5
It’s ok

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Beach was relaxing and the water was refreshing! Would definitely recommend!
- 3.5/5
The room had a musty smell, on our first day the sheets and blankets were damp. We asked for a sheet change the second day and that help. The smell was at time overwhelming. Needed ventilation.

- 3/5
We loved our stay at Bilmar except when our room was cleaned she did not clean the tub, floors, or table tops. We were in room 641 and the patio door was broke and we had to slam it several times to get it to close as well as the front door which took multiple tries to open. The staff was amazing, the amenities were great, and the location is amazing!
- 3/5
The rooms need updating but amenities were great
- 5/5
Everything was perfect to us ,staff very helpful and friendly, I had an amazing time ,so many things to do around like games, bikes ,beach toys, water bottles and chairs free ,We love the humble place ❤️
- 5/5
Beautiful resort the rooms very clean and beds really comfortable!!! Great location close to the beach , great amenities. Will most definitely come back again !!!
- 5/5
.
- 3/5
We loved the amenities and being able to use the beach chairs and access to pool towels to be used for the beach. Our room we initially booked was a bit dirty, and there was a rather large gap in the door frame which was letting bugs in. I went to crawl in bed, and there was a large crusty stain on the middle sheet. I did end up complaining and we got an upgraded room. Over all stay was okay. I'm not positive I would return.
- 4.5/5

Great location! Restaurant, Bars, Grocery store and Walgreens within walking distance.
- 5/5
Bilmar staff went above and beyond. The lock was damaged on our sliding door and maintenance was in our room in minutes to repair it. From the front desk staff to housekeeping, everyone was so helpful and responded to our needs and requests immediately. We would definitely choose to stay at Bilmar again.
- 5/5
The Room was exceptionally clean, Staff were warm and inviting and helpful with a smile! The view from my room was Awesome😃👍👍👍. I will be staying at The Bilmar again in the future!!!!❤️
- 5/5
Staff was incredible. Great location.
- 2/5
Our first room, my issue was the carpet. It was extremely nasty. My feet stuck to it as I walked from the front door to the patio. I went down to exchange my room. I had to complain quite a lot to get them to switch me rooms with no carpet once I did that the room that I went into the bed, you could tell as soon as you seen it half of it, the frame was broke as far as cleaning, I don’t think the floors have been mopped since the building has been built totally overpaid for this experience
- 5/5
Nice place
- 5/5
Everything was fantastic about my stay at the Bilmar! I've stayed there multiple times and always have a wonderful experience!
- 5/5
People working were friendly and attentive. Parking was fair with non guest parking
- 5/5
The value you get with this property is amazing. It's quite basic as far as accomodations go, but it's truly a one stop shop. The location is super convenient. Pools, beach, great food drink and entertainment plus shops are all right there. We love it!
- 4/5
Location in reference to the beach. Housing keeping was spotty. They did not come 2 days and to get someone to answer a phone call at 6pm did not happen either. Bands playing till midnight every night across the street got old.

Bilmar is great. Convenient to night life, restaurants, and shopping - all within walking distance. Every employee I’ve encountered was friendly and extremely helpful. They have coffee makers (and coffee) in the rooms, but also have coffee in the lobby every morning. Both pools are kept very clean and they keep an assortment of pool floaties for anyone to use. You can borrow bicycles to ride or a beach chair; both at no cost. Sorry, need to complain (a little) about the room. The bathroom was so dark it was comedic and the bath gel and shampoo were exactly the same thing. One bar of hand soap wasn’t enough for us. They should provide paper towels or dish rags for use. Neither were available.

Beautiful view and the kitchen was great!
- 5/5
Very pleased with the hotel, amenities and clean room with a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico. My only complaint would be the parking lot- hard to find a space if you go out to dinner and leave the property, tight spaces and sometimes congested. It all worked out and we had a wonderful time.
- 5/5
Everything was fantastic. We had a poolside room, right in front of the elevator so no good views. But the room was cleaned and stocked daily. The restaurants were great. Everything was 5- star except the extremely long trek to the water. That just wore us out.
- 5/5
Front desk was very helpful. Pool was great. Room was clean and quiet. Lots of places to eat. Right on the beach.
- 4/5
Stayed Ocean view studio room- 4 th floor. Staff was friendly, room was clean, appliances - stove and refrigerator did not work properly and looked rather beat up.- this was disappointing given the price paid to stay in this room. One side of Elevator was down which can be unsettling. Amenities were nice and location is great- but not if you like a quieter atmosphere- traffic and nearby clubs can be noisy. There are plenty of slight elevation changes in the walks that are not marked with caution markings so it you are prone to tripping or falling, this may not be a good place for you
- 5/5
The wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Bilmar. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was outstanding. The pools were outstanding as well. We loved eating next door at Sloppy Joe's. We've stayed here a few times and never regretted it. Had a great stay. Thank you.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay with no complaints
- 5/5
We will be going back! They had everything in one place. We loved the pool. They have pretty much anything guests need at the beach. Chairs, towels, toys. Rooms are spotless and seem to have all been recently updated.
- 5/5
Friendly staff!
- 4/5
Everything I wasn’t allowed to extend my stay in the same room
- 5/5
Courteous and helpful service, super clean and well equipped unit with kitchen. The location is on a wide beautiful beach. They provideed towels water bottles and a chair for us to use which was so nice! Outside by the beach there are fire pits and chairs to relax in with your friends and family. Nothing!
- 3.5/5
Exterior needs a major face lift
- 5/5
The location is within walking distance to everything. Beach, pool, bars, grocery stores...you name it. The view of the ocean and sunsets from our balcony was simply amazing. The walking and bike riding path between the resort and the beach was so convenient. One of the 2 elevators was broke 1/2 the time we were there.

We loved it but the restaurant inside was disappointing
- 5/5
The staff was amazing and super accommodating with check in/out times. Can’t beat the location!
- 5/5
Fantastic helpful staff. Great location to walk on the beach and enjoy sunsets. Definitely dine at Sloppy Joe's.
- 4/5
Older hotel but nice and right on the beach. Staff is super friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
Great location. We loved the pools and the great beach righ
- 5/5
Beach view was great. Everything I needed was available to me.
- 3/5
The person at the front desk was very unhelpful. I had to get a manager involved who had the issue resolved in 309 minutes. This was NOT a manager needed situation shew was lazy and unhelpful. Other than that, I enjoyed the stay. I suggest you replace her she should NOT be the face of your business. There is no place for laziness or lack o0f effort. I booked a Premium room I expect and deserve more for $300 plus a night.
- 5/5
The hotel was nice. The staff was amazing! Went for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday, asked for a room upgrade and was granted with no problem. Appreciate the water bottles being provided at request. Appreciated the beach chairs and towels being provided.
- 5/5
Great location! Sloppy Joe’s restaurant is right on the property with great food and live music. I especially like that they provide beach chairs, beach towels and pool towels to their guests.
- 2/5
There is a $90 amenities fee that Expedia won’t tell you about but the hotel will charge you at check in. Very deceptive and scummy. The live music at the hotel restaurant needs to go. Gordon Ramsey would have a field day at this establishment.
- 4/5
Great place to stay with an excellent view
- 5/5
Stayed for my birthday and had the best time!! Great location everything is walkable, from free bike rides to morning walks on the beach that’s only a 2-5 minute walk, very clean, staff was on it every morning! I will be back! they even gave me free drink vouchers! overall wonderful stay!
- 4/5
The property is nice and well located by the beach. The food in the restaurant was very good and not pricey. The staff very helpful. The only thing as a resort they should provide their guests with umbrella and beach chairs in place not the guest having to carry it. because is a long way to carry all that to the beach and it gets heavy I always stayed in resorts that have everything set right in the beach.
- 5/5
Great seaview. Aircon unit to left of us was unsightly but didnt block view. Couldnt get any nearer to the beach. Room had all facilities you needed and was nice and clean.
- 5/5
Super staff. Great location
- 5/5
Good vibes!
- 5/5
We have stayed at the Bilmar several times . The area. nearby has much to offer. for restaurants an nightlife They offer beach towels and chairs that are easy to carry out to the beach
- 5/5
Friendly, easy access to food, drinks and the beach. Beautiful sunsets.
- 5/5
The room was very nice and had everything we needed! This property is beach front but it is a walk to the actual water. They give you beach chairs, bicycles, and watet free of charge! I would stay here again!
- 3/5
Beach was covered with setting up for some yearly event but other that that beautiful
- 5/5
Love this place ! looking forward to the next stay
- 5/5
Everything was great outside of poor bartender help from only one but zero personality to draw in his customers. As a HR director I analyze, which can be a positive or can be looked down on when it comes to metrically looking at a wholistic view. This tall individual worked at the connected Sloppy Joes.. Outside of that great experience…
- 5/5
Our double queen room with kitchenette and balcony was awesome: large, clean, great flow. We faced the ocean, which was huge. Great ocean breeze.
- 4/5
Everything was wonderful. We will be back again.
- 4/5
Nice view great walk to the beach! Room was cleaned daily and timely.
- 5/5
This hotel is the best in my opinion….location on the beach, close to restaurants, amenities including beach chairs & towels! The staff is very friendly also!! Highly recommend!!
- 5/5
Beautiful location fabulous amenities friendly helpful staff great for couples or for families
- 5/5
My stay was amazing. This beach vacation was truly paradise. Everything else melted away as I spent time on the beach , at the pool, and enjoying the nightly entertainment. Just please keep doing what you do.
- 3/5
NA
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, beautiful view, great amenities. Still has some of that old florida vibe. Will definitely stay here for future visits!
- 3/5
The staff was friendly, however our room was not cleaned while we were there.
- 5/5
Great view
- 4/5
Bilmar is an older hotel. Some of the rooms on first floor are undesirable
- 5/5
We will return!
- 2/5
Very unhappy that I paid for a beachfront view with a balcony and what I got was a third floor room on top of their sloppy joes restaurant. So from that balcony I saw two large roof top air conditioners, 30 feet of roof, then the beach in the background. Very disappointing. From a cleanliness perspective based him was not cleaned well.
- 5/5
I loved the location it was perfect walking distance to dunkin and nice Italian restaurant also really enjoyed the restaurant attached to the hotel as well . Very good food and views on our stay :)
- 5/5
Unobstructed beach view. Great access and good location to food and restaurants
- 5/5
Amazing room and kitchen was well supplied
- 3/5
Found a cockroach in drawer. Good news was it was dead. Beach area was not kept tidy. Chairs, trash strewn about like some teenagers had a party the night before. One lady would help clean and straighten up the beach, but not until well into the afternoon. Room felt damp and musty. Parking is limited and you have to park across the street when the lot is full. Sloppy Joes restaurant was good. Pools seemed nice. Good location - right on the beach. Staff was mostly helpful.
- 4/5
Wished there was an option for king bed. Rooms a bit outdated. Amazing staff and location. Appreciated beach chairs and towels!
- 5/5
The room was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. For a regular standard room it was above expectation. The beds were very comfortable. Loved that the hotel did not nickel and dime us for every amenity. Free bottled water, free beach chairs as well as beach towels. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, amazing views to beach
- 3/5
Cockroaches in our room, two of our four nights our room didnt get cleaned. Coffee pot did not work
- 2/5
Positives were the housekeeping and maintenance were prompt with their services and cleaning was done daily. Apart from that, lots of areas for improvement and isnt worth the cost.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Room needs more detailed cleaning and some insect and mosquito repellent
- 5/5
Would definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
Granted, it was Spring Break but it was incredibly noisy. The rooms are small and a bit outdated but overall, we would stay here again. Heather at the front desk was great. Staff was all 5 stars.
- 3/5
Room view was poor, roof top had continuous birds, and I couldn't see over it even if I were able to go outside, which I wasn't thanks to the rooftop tenants/birds who were very loud.
- 5/5
Amazing Hotel!
- 5/5
The Bilmar was great - excellent staff and amenities. Great to have options to go to the beach, ride a bike, or lay out by the pool. Workers were all very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
We had a wonderful time and staff was great. There are still updates that can be updated a little. Location was amazing with restaurants and beach. Great music at the hotel bar which faced the beach. It allowed us to just chill, which was so amazing. Big plus with the bicycles that we were able to use.
- 4/5
Room directly above restaurant -good view of beach but air handlers noisy. Front door closed at top but not at bottom so it had a large gap in door jamb. Staff very very friendly and helpful. Elevator had signs that key card was needed to access rooms but it did’t work. Would have felt safer if it was working.
- 5/5
Great room. Great location. Bar drinks were ok. Asked for a rum runner and got something different. Pina colada was good though
- 5/5
We had a beach view room but it did not have a balcony. It was clean and neat and everything worked as it should. Great location and the beach was absolutely beautiful.
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay here but the part of the hotel we stayed in was old. Dim lighting in the bathroom, I could see light coming from under our door which opened to the strip so noise was at premium, old carpet. But the beach view was great and it was a very convenient location within walking distance to grocery store and restaurants. Loved it that they let you take beach chairs and towels to the beach. I would stay here again but probably after they renovate the tower, where I stayed, which the manager said is coming up in the future.
- 5/5
Sure wish I was here all week! Only got to come for a night but loved every minute of it! The amenities are well worth it! Can’t wait until I get to come back! ❤️
- 5/5
I had a great time. Very recommended
- 4/5
Rooms were clean ,staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Excellent location . Great amenities .
- 2/5
This property , while decent, is not at a 4-star level. Basic is how I would describe it. The photos are quite miss leading. You can tell this is a very old property and it’s been tried to be dressed up a bit with some paint but that’s about it. The lobby is quite nice but that aesthetic stops there and doesn’t translate to the rooms. Our room had lots of fruit flies in it or some other little bugs flying around. The bathroom needs gutting as it seems it’s from the 80s with barely any light over the counter. If you are looking for basic this place is fine, but it’s not 4-star level.
- 3/5
Hotel has direct access to beach, they have foldable beach chairs for guests. Room was clean, furnishings gave it a modern flare but the hotel bones (foundation) is dated. Two restaurants on site, and two pools for guests to enjoy.
- 4/5
yes
- 5/5
Very happy with everything. Will definitely look into this place again if in the area.
- 3/5
Understaffed front desk on check in and it appeared to be like that our entire stay. Front was friendly but it’s hard to manage numerous people checking in when there is only one person working the front desk. Parking was very limited. We had to park in their lot space beside the Walgreens across the street which wouldn’t have bothered me if the first 4 rows of parking weren’t blocked off for valet for Sloppy Joe’s (Bilmar’s restaurant). It would be better to accommodate your guests to the closer parking across the street.
- 5/5
We had a great time!
- 2/5
Won't be back!! SAD
- 4/5
Room sink would not drain
- 2/5
Very poor sleep here.
- 5/5
Loved it there. Everything I needed on premises.
- 3/5
Hot tub was great, don’t think they cleaned our room in the 3 nights we were there. Definitely looks much better in the pictures than in person. Nice location to the beach, though there’s not many restaurants within walking distance.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
The pool's were clean and the area's to sit/lay around it. Our room was clean and comfortable. I was very Happy to see that our room had a ceiling fan. One pleased hot-flasher, ha. All ofthe staff, was truly very pleasant 10 out of 10!
- 2/5
If you stay here, don't stay in a room in the "tower" . that is the 8 story building. The rooms are very out dated. looks like no work has been done on them in years. Our room 647 had an AC so load that you couldn't sleep at night. The door to the room, did not seal properly. you can see light all around it, at night. Ricky-T's has live music at night until midnight. you could hear the music just like you were there. To get to your room, you had to haul all your luggage up a steep ramp, to get to one of two elavators
- 4/5
Views were fantastic. Staff was super nice. Very clean.
- 5/5
Pool was great. Breakfast was good. Door to our room had a gap in it. Music from across the street was too loud.
- 5/5
Room was very clean, Staff was friendly
- 5/5
The hole thing was awesome
- 5/5
Room was clean; staff was great; the fitness room was terrific and the pools and hot tub were wonderful. The location is excellent and the sunsets are incredible!

This place is a dive. Its old, out dated and the music blaring across the street until midnight was not ideal. To top it off i needed to check out 15-20 minutes late because our breakfast was running late at their Sloppy Joes restaurant attached to the hotel and the woman on the phone told me i couldnt check out late. So rude. Im like so I have to get up right now to get my suitcases even though ive been waiting for my food in your restaurant? I would never recommend this place.
- 4/5
The location is very convenient to resturants and beach. The resort is somewhat dated and could use some updating on decor. We did not receive housekeeping services at all on day 1. I went to desk on Day 2 and requested housekeeping. Then on day 3, when I requested it, they only brought us clean towels and did not make our beds. Bathrooms are very dimly lit. The overall amenities as far as beach access and chairs for the beach were very good. I would return just keeping in mind it is an older resort.
- 5/5
Great view of the beach and water. The beds were comfortable. The pools were excellent. Great service at check-in and check-out. Justin was very informative with information for me at check-out. The pool house service was great for towels, beach chairs and water. It was great having Sloppy Joes as a restaurant. We had Melissa for breakfast and lunch on different occasions. She is very friendly and a great addition to the wait staff. It was a great week with the weather and the resort. Definitely want to return one day
- 3/5
We got a room directly above the restaurant. Never again! The fans on the roof of the restaurant were so loud we couldn’t enjoy sitting on our balcony. Not only that Ricky T‘s across the street had music playing so loud it made it even worse. We liked the room except for the low bathroom lighting and we loved the area and the walking path, but the noise was just too much. Also, $180 for amenities is ridiculous. Definitely not worth it. We paid a lot of money to stay there and it really wasn’t worth it. We also had the ice machine right outside our door with people getting ice at four and five in the morning. If you want to get a room here, make sure it’s not over the restaurant.
- 4/5
Yes
- 5/5
Clean, friendly and the beach was right out our back door.
- 5/5
The beach and the view from the room was magnificent. The beds and air conditioning were excellent.Nice little kitchenette and excellent coffee.
- 5/5
Only issue we had was the water pressure in the shower. It was not good.
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful, friendly and professional. The room was very clean. The beach view was beautiful. We visited Sloppy Joes restaurant and the hotel bar-lounge. Thank you.
- 5/5
Unobstructed beach view, wonderful. Amenities are great. Sloppy Joe’s is perfect.
- 3/5
The room. I could barely get that door open and the room was a bit stale scented. Could’ve aired it out or something.
- 4/5
Clean rooms, staffs
- 5/5
Wonderful. Staff was amazing.
- 5/5
The room was clean but the price was pretty high especially with the resort fees the noise came through the bottom of the door.
- 4/5
Great location!!
- 4/5
Location.
- 4/5
The hotel has a feel like you are in the 1960s. The hotel needs a lot of renovations. On the weekends, it can get really noisy if your room is facing Gulf Blvd. Cleaning staff were great and helped us whenever we needed anything
- 5/5
All
- 5/5
Staff is helpful. They are polite.
- 5/5
Great staff, clean room, great location, beautiful beach with easy access!
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable, I loved the tropical decor and feel, the beach, pool and hot tub were nice and the staff were very friendly!
- 4/5
The staff was extremely courteous and friendly.
- 4/5
The room was clean . Nice view of the beach. Staff were very friendly
- 3/5
Cons: very noisy front & back, construction everywhere, limited parking, ice machine & elevator OOO, dated room (343) & dated exterior (I know they suffered storm damage), terrible tub faucet (couldn't regulate temp, poor water pressure), weird closet with no doorknob, sliding mirror closet doors were a pain to operate, limited housekeeping daily but nothing was cleaned for a 5 night stay, heated pool was chilly, no hotel maps, you have to walk around & explore to understand the layout, they should promote the free beach taxi & do a better job of telling you about pool towels, beach chairs, construction noise & impacts, had a lady bang on our door at 1am, said sorry, the front desk must have given me the wrong room#, she proceeded to bang on other doors & wake everyone up (the elevator said you needed your room key but you didn't).
- 5/5
The room was clean, the beds and pillows were comfy and we had a great view of the beach! It was close to bars, shopping and restaurants. The pool and hot tub were clean and well take care of. The staff were super friendly. We would star here again!
- 2/5
I won’t return here.
- 4/5
The resort was clean and well taken care of. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Beautiful beach and ocean view. Easy access to all amenities, I.e., beach, pool, restaurants and shopping.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
Everything was as expected and satisfying Thank you
- 4/5
Staff was courteous. The room was clean. Good location on the beach.
- 3/5
Otherwise staff were friendly and room was clean.
- 5/5
The staff was very courteous and accommodating. The room was clean and the facilities were very nice. Unfortunately it was probably the coldest it’s been in Florida for quite some time so we didn’t get to use the pool, although it was open and maintained every day.
- 1/5
We arrived at night because that was what worked best for us, I was double charged and they couldn’t get the first charge off. We were moved up to our room and I noticed a few ants- the next day when we got back from our stuff, the entire room was covered in ants. The bathroom, the kitchen area, the side table by the bed i mean EVERYTHING. they switched our room to a smaller room and queen size bed because they didn’t have anything available. But the guy who was working did not know what he was talking about at all. There is two separate buildings and we had to go to the other building. The security guard Justin was probably the best person there, he was extremely helpful moving our stuff and super kind and very apologetic that all this was happening. They only refunded us our “upgrade” for one of the nights we had ants, even though we had to stay in the smaller room for the remainder of our time. I was just disappointed overall with almost everything there and the lack of communication between staff. The location decent though.
- 4/5
Yes, it was clean and staff were nice too.
- 3/5
Staff was very nice. Rooms could have been better upgraded and bathroom shower could be cleaner
- 5/5
We spent 5 nights here and loved it! The staff was attentive, friendly, welcoming and helpful in answering any questions we had about the resort and surrounding areas. We plan on staying again next time we come to Treasure Island.
- 5/5
The accommodations and staff were great!
- 5/5
Excellent location, great amenities, beautiful beach, and get a room with a balcony. If you go to sleep early you may be disturbed by bar across the street (Ricky's) as they play till 11 pm on Weekends. Nice restaurant next door called Sloppy Joe's. We borrowed their bikes as well. Recommend a nice place to get away and staff is great.
- 5/5
The room was very clean. It was helpful to have water available at all times. So many places are in walking distance.
- 4/5
I liked the location which was directly on the beach.
- 4/5
This hotel was perfect for the kite festival in January.
- 5/5
Property was well kept. Front desk staff was so nice, helpful and knowledgeable. Room was very clean. We will definitely be back
- 4/5
Great beach area. Close to Publix. The front desk staff was nice. The resort fee offers bikes, towels, and chairs for the beach. There is restaraunt onsite. Understand that there is outdoor LIVE music, and that goes on until at least 9PM. The Friday night we were there, the local bar across the street had outdoor LIVE music 2x as loud til midnight. Just so you know. We had a lot of fun.
- 1/5
The main issue was there was no parking first off. Second the hotel room smelled like urine. The TV did not work correctly. The microwave did not release appropriately. Overall, we left a day early because we were completely dissatisfied with the service and with the hotel.
- 5/5
The staff was so gracious, courteous; couldnt have been more accommodating!
- 3/5
Be careful with additional amenities fee. Coffee is horrible they recommend going to restaurant for a cup
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 4/5
Room good. Staff very good.
- 1/5
Not clean and very thin walls, can hear everything!
- 5/5
Upon check-in I was upgraded to a first floor room with direct access to the beach. The room had been fully renovated following the devastating hurricanes of 2025. As such, the room looked fresh. We ate at Sloppy Joe's which is a hotel restaurant on premises and watched the sunset each day. Very enjoyable visit.
- 2/5
The room was dirty and the place was outdated like a hotel from the 90s. did not have a comb or brush if you forgot yours.
- 4/5
The staff seemed friendly, clean place and close to the beach. Thanks!
- 1/5
Our room had bugs all over the bathroom and bed area and we had to get another room which was not what we desired and they gave us a room with 2 twin beds indeed and my wife and I had two sleep in two separate beds the whole time and we didn’t get our balcony ocean view either.
- 5/5
Beach view was great. Great experience.
- 5/5
Beautiful location, friendly staff. Had a great one day stay. Will definitely come back.
- 4/5
Great view
- 5/5
Nice place Beautiful View!
- 5/5
Could use a little updated (due to the storm). Other then that. My husband and I enjoyed our stay, the convenience, the staff, and most of all the views. I even had a nap on the beach.
- 5/5
It wasn't a very relaxing, wonderful time. The rooms were really nice.Loved how comfortable the beds were. The beach access was wonderful and having the restaurant right there. It was really nice
- 5/5
Great stay! The front office staff was welcoming especially John. He was very nice and informative. The hotel is nice and clean and all amenities were available as described. The rooms were nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. Thanks Bilmar and staff for a great birthday weekend!
- 5/5
Great stay. Thank you!!
- 5/5
Room was brand new and super comfortable. All staff were so kind and helpful. We loved the beach chairs that were like backpacks that we were able to use to bring down to the amazing beach for our morning coffee and to watch the sunsets which were out of this world gorgeous!!
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 3/5
The motel is old with lots of upgrades needed. As soon as we walked into our room the musty smell hit us. we tried to air it out a bit by keeping the lanai door open but it really did not help. The reading lamps on both beds did not work. The beds were comfortable which made it all bearable.
- 5/5
Great restaraunts, beautiful beach view
- 5/5
Great spot
- 5/5
Love The Bilmar!
- 5/5
The Hotel, location and staff were amazing
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay at The Bilmar Beach Resort.
- 4/5
Patti at the front desk was great...very sweet and helpful... she even gave us a card to get discounts if we want to come back. Avi was so helpful with giving us pool towels and showing us where to go and how to get there.... housekeeping was alright. Our first day I had to call 3xs for them to come and straighten our room up. They didnt check the soap dispenser in the shower which was empty and didnt clean out the coffee pot....but all in all everything was really nice.
- 5/5
The room was wonderful and right on the beach!!
- 3/5
Great staff. The gulf is a long walk from the hotel.
- 5/5
Parking was easy
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly and eager to help you.
- 3/5
Although the staff was courteous and the room was clean, the overall experience was affected by how outdated the room was. There was a lot of rust in and outside of the shower, which made the stay less comfortable than expected. The hotel would benefit from immediate maintenance and updates.
- 5/5
Staff were great, especially the pool guy. Rooms were clean and location was great.
- 5/5
Great location...room as described looking out ovwr beach. A lot of activities...courteous staff. Had a great time
- 5/5
Second time staying here, great experience again.
- 5/5
Great experience, will be staying here again in the future.
- 4/5
It was a fine stay and price was good so i would stay again
- 3/5
After checkin, we were given directions to our room, where to enter the building from the parking lot. we grabed our stuff and proceded up the elevator to the 4th floor. go searching for the room number...Wrong bldg! come back down with all our stuff. go to the next bldg, second to the last room on the floor, overlooking the bar/restaurant. $200 a night for this view? looking at the rooftop air conditioners over the bar...Also when we finally got to the room. the phone did not work (wasn't even hooked up) & there was NO remote for the tv. plus the sliding glass door was open about an inch, I closed it and tried to secure the lock, locked it and shook the door a couple of times, then it came open. Wouldn't lock & stay locked! plus the screen door has no lock at all. that's unacceptable! Never Again! Your 4 star rating should be 2 maybe 2.5, definetly not a 4!
- 5/5
I had an amazing time. I always come back to a very clean room. Front desk is always helpful and the resort was great!
- 5/5
Location was great as well as helpful staff.
- 5/5
Super friendly. Very clean
- 5/5
clean room, great staff, great location
- 5/5
Great place and great people! They need more of the rental bikes or I need to wake up earlier on vacation lol!
- 4/5
Clean room with great view of the beach.
- 5/5
Great staff, beautiful rooms and view. Best part is the surrounding area has amazing food and entertainment options!
- 4/5
Great view..hotel was clean and location was great! I would use this hotel again.
- 5/5
Yes they were great
- 5/5
We’ve been coming to BILMAR for the past 10 years and I highly recommend it. The staff is friendly, everything is clean, and there’s a fantastic bar downstairs — Sloppy Joe’s. Beautiful views and amazing sunsets. The only issue for me is the mattresses — they seem a bit too worn out or too soft.
- 4/5
Cell service sucked! And, I had no choice but use it bc the phone in my room didn’t work. Dining room kept disconnecting so I had to run down order dinner in person and then go back down to pick it up through no fault of my own- they wouldn’t even deliver it to me!
- 5/5
Staff were very friendly and accomodating, even let us check in early. The views are stunning with sunsets right in front of you. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Pool was not extrordinary but plenty sufficient. Trolley stop right in front of hotel was very convenient. Sloppy Joe's had mixed reviews but we had very good luck with them. Cheap frozen drinks comparable to other places too!
- 4/5
Room was very clean. The hotel location was very good.
- 5/5
Parking was good , beach front ,staff was very nice and always bery helpfull
- 5/5
Everything wes great
- 5/5
Staff was efficient and friendly
- 4/5
Everything there was perfect, in my opinions. Nice stay for a short getaways
- 5/5
Rooms were clean Would definitely recommend
- 5/5
Great location. Our room had an incredible view. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Wonderful
- 5/5
We have stayed at the Bilmar every year and it never disappoints us. Great beach is easy to access. Great restaurants and sights to see. Love this area to visit especially in the fall.
- 2/5
Comfortable bed. Long slanting hole all the way from the door knob to the floor from 1/2 to 1 inch wide in the door to room. Ants in room no snacks to purchase in office or elsewhere. Uncomfortable furniture. Will not return
- 5/5
The Bilmar is located in the perfect spot - convenient for all leisure activities and dining in the Treasure Island area. The rooms are tired but I understand they plan to renovate them soon. Missy, at the front desk, is outstanding.
- 5/5
Very clean very friendly
- 5/5
Great time
- 3/5
Staff was very nice. The location was perfect. The room wasn’t the best. It smelled old like mold. The carpet in the room needs to be replaced and the fan in the a/c unit rattled all night making it hard to sleep. 💤 A
- 5/5
Nice trip
- 5/5
Had such a good time at the Bilmar Beach Resort on Treasure Island last week. Even with the renovation happening it was lovely. Everyone that works there is so kind and patient. We felt very safe and happy to be on the face of the Earth. Thank you so much! We will be back.
- 5/5
Excelente
- 5/5
Fun place to stay. Definitely under construction.
- 5/5
Staff and workers getting location back to pre Hurricane condition. My wife and I had a wonderful week.
- 5/5
All the employees of this facility were above and beyond. Very accommodating very professional. Sloppy Joe’s was a wonderful place to eat, and the waitresses were amazing. We would definitely come back.
- 5/5
The resort is updated and has beautiful grounds, the beachfront is awesome..the room is super nice with a kitchenette....I will definitely come back....
- 5/5
All of the above... Staff were super friendly and having Sloppy Joe's right there was a huge asset as well. Aaron was awesome.. we loved him!
- 4/5
Still under construction, but we had a wonderful stay
- 5/5
Great people great time good room privacy was able to book longer day-to-day waiting to go on a closing for my new home thank you so much billmar
- 5/5
Love this place. Love Turbo and LiLi with the umbrellas and beach loungers. They keep us coming back. All around a great place A+++++
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 3/5
Parking was horrible , nice location still working on building from hurricane lot of people in and out works and events
- 5/5
Room was nice. Beds very comfortable. Pool with Sloppy Joes right there was good. Food decent and service great. Plus, there's the sunsets, WOW!!
- 4/5
The beach
- 4/5
Beautiful view, staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
I wish they offered paper towel or napkins in the kitchen.
- 5/5
Great stay! Room was updated and nice. Balcony was great to sit out on. Ours overlooked the pool. Beds were comfortable. Very convenient with the restaurant attached. Check in was good. One person who was trying to take several calls and check us in but we were early and lucky a room was ready. Came down later and the lobby was packed but there were several people to check them in at that point. Pool looked nice but we didn’t go. You can check out chairs and towels for the beach for free. They are the backpack kind you have to carry with you. I did see a company with chairs and umbrellas you could probably rent from if don’t want to carry anything. Bikes you could ride down the boardwalk. Our favorite part was probably the view, the quietness (we went on a Friday and I think school was starting Monday so most tourists may have been gone), and the restaurant for drinks.
- 1/5
No
- 3/5
The front desk staff was not very pleasant or friendly. I would not return to this resort or tell any friends or family to visit there either.
- 5/5
The only negative was the firm bed. Everything else was great!
- 1/5
Housekeeping not doing a good job cleaning the room. Everything it’s old in the hotel standing water in the balcony dripping water from the ceiling
- 5/5
The beds were very comfortable and clean. Food was good overall experience was great. The staff very friendly and helpful.will stay here again, also family friendly.
- 5/5
The Bilmar is our favorite place to stay in Treasure Island! Already starting to plan our next stay!
- 3/5
Old school, but being renovated. Nice room over-looking gulf, but also pool with lots of kids. Gym non- existing when asked where it was (-apparently still under renovation). Top reviews for staff at the restaurant/ bar!!!! They made the stay enjoyable
- 5/5
Great property. Dated but very clean. Friendly staff, great food and drink options onsite. Free beach gear is a plus….
- 4/5
Great location. Lots of amenities that they are working out from some hurricane damage. Great for kids
- 5/5
Great experience, nice people
- 5/5
For a property that’s still trying to recover from the Hurricane, I have no complaints. My 3rd time staying here, I will continue to support them. The location is great, almost anything is walkable.
- 4/5
Sunsets every night were to die for!
- 4/5
Beds were very comfortable. Convent to a restaurant. Long walk to the beach and only normal portable beach chairs.
- 3/5
I asked for housekeeping because they missed my room and we did not get the towels and wash clothes that we needed for the next day the phone had no cord for what I paid for the room it wasn't what I expected
- 4/5
The hotel was on the beach with beach chairs available to use for free. That was a perk since we flew in and were able to bring our own. Beach was clean and not crowded. Property is still being renovated from hurricane damage but was still a great place to stay. Washers and dryers were also available. Sloppy Joes restaurant that is attached to the hotel had a great menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- 5/5
Great location, clean, friendly staff!
- 2/5
The positive is the beach and location for that which was a main reason for selecting. But the property itself is in very worn condition, from the elevators to the appearance and definitely the rooms. Very smelly from ridiculously old and filthy carpet, floors that were not carpet were dirty and the cabinets inside and out dirty- the bathroom from the floors to sink and tub shower combo were dirty and barely functioning. In fact the tub would take hours to drain the water out and all kinds of nasty stuff came up the drain. Would never recommend.
- 5/5
They are remodeling and the elevator was not working and I was on the 3er floor, other than that it was good.
- 4/5
Nice for the money.
- 4/5
Loved that the hotel is right on the beach with easy access for hotel guests! I wish I researched more and read a review that talked about the noise from Ricky T’s, the restaurant across the street. Each night of the weekend we were there they had live music or karaoke that went on until midnight. The restaurant on site, sloppy joes, was not great. Not really worth the money…if you can drive somewhere else you will have much better options! The rooms were pretty decent. Comfortable beds and nice beach view from the room.
- 3/5
Front desk staff was amazing and kind. Issues with the room primarily focused on the age of the furnishing. This is not a fancy hotel! Stopper in the bathroom sink was not operable and got stuck multiple times. The showerhead did not provide the water pressure due to build up. There was a 1 inch crack beneath the front door leading directly to the outside elements. The bathroom door did not easily close due to expansion of the wood.
- 5/5
It was a great experience the only suffering that room service come too early and didn’t speak English at all, I told her when the room was ready but she ignored me, otherwise everything was great
- 5/5
It was a great place. It was under construction but all good. Once it is all done we will be back to see the place .. we had a great time. Great service
- 3/5
I liked that it was on the beach and easy access. To much noise in the morning with construction happening in the building. They can do better with the restaurant, food wasn’t that good and My wife got sick the last day we ate there, it was something she ate from the restaurant Sloppy Joe’s. The room was clean and nice and the best part was close to beach.
- 5/5
Great mini vacation with the grandkids
- 5/5
And beach right there!!
- 2/5
This property is under reconstruction & renovations due to hurricane damage! It was not told that the parking will need to be at the Walgreens parking lot which was across the street & no way near the hotel, this only occurs due to place being at full capacity. The check-in wasn't good, all near the Sloppy Joe's restaurant which caused confusion for line up. Place not that clean around the restaurant or the pool area which was attached next to restaurant with massive people drinking at pool area being intoxicated & unable to swim properly. The 2nd pool area was better & pleasant. The staff should monitor people in the water drunk near bar area! Not safe! The positive is this beach resort has the beautiful beach which guests have all the amenities to be at beach! Beach was great! I will not go back until this place is fully restored back to normal! Location of beach was beautiful thats about it!
- 4/5
The staff at fromt desk could have ben a little more pleasant , the lady with the glasses is not so welcoming , i asked her if she can hold my balloons to set up the room for our 50th birthday celebration and she's like I don't have anywhere to put them but then all the sudden she said she could put them in the office that just wasn't very nice when I called previously ahead of time and they said they were set up them in the room for me... also asked for a later check out and they said no, i also asked for early check in and they said no .wasnt ready ....i loved thenarea ,but need a friendlier staff at front desk ....our room was nice .i woukd of prefereed a room not all the way in tje corner next to a wall blocking the view ...
- 4/5
I would not have gone there if I would have known they were renovation going on. The elevator broke down and I had to walk up 4 flights of stairs. I have trouble with my leg, which makes it hard to walk. I really had a hard time doing that. The air conditioner leaked in my room wetting the carpet. Orher than all that, the people who worked there were very nice and helpful.
- 3/5
trees…it was a 3.
- 4/5
Basic gulf coast resort, still renovating from the hurricane. Some things were not opened and they definitely need to update dates of opening on website. Cool staff and can’t beat the views.
- 4/5
-Excellent location, right on the beach -Friendly, helpful staff -Good, in-house restaurant and bar -Free parking (rarity around this area) Cons: -It is an older hotel, some of the fit and finish is noticeable. -The water pressure in the shower is poor, although the sink is fine. -TV had a vertical line running down the middle of it. Other: -Some of the amenities are not open, despite showing on the website (2nd pool, lobby, workout area, hot tub, etc...) This is due to the hurricane damage. If this matters, I would check to see if they are open. Summary: -We enjoyed our stay immensely. The staff is great and there is no better spot on Treasure Island. It is close to everything and a small drive to others. Just a few tweaks and this place would be top of the heap. 100% would stay again.
- 5/5
Clean, beautiful, perfect location!
- 5/5
Room was a little dirty on places but very comfortable.
- 4/5
under construction lights were bright
- 5/5
Overall
- 5/5
Wonderful staff 2pools close to every thing beautiful views and easy walking to the gulf
- 5/5
I loved how they gave you towels, water, chairs for the beach, bicycles to ride.
- 5/5
Julie was great with reservation etc. all the ladies at the front desk.
- 5/5
Great property
- 3/5
The Bilma hotel was a nice experience, very pleasant staff , nice location with many food options near. Only complains are the hotel needs too undergo some renovations like some more shower areas, outside to rinse off sand. Also the rooms were a little dirty especially the carpet needs to be cleaned very well as it was the dirtiest in the room Overall nice ambiance.
- 5/5
The room was clean and refreshing. Located right in the Gulf. Two nice swimming pools and a great restaurant.
- 5/5
Well I can't speak for the entirety of the property, the rooms that I had reserved were pretty damned awesome. Hard to beat a kitchenette and a balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Sloppy joes on the beach, the restaurant attached to the hotel, is very good for what it is. I'll be going back just to spend an occasional weekend.
- 5/5
The staff let us get into our room at 9:00 am! We were able to then enjoy 2 full days .
- 3/5
Overall a good stay. Clean and staff helpful. They were doing construction so it got a little noisy but we were told this before booking.
- 5/5
Beautiful room with all the amenities ❤
- 4/5
Great beachfront place, unfortunately, the website said nothing about being in the process of repairing hurricane damage. Would definitely consider staying here again, if not undergoing repairs.
- 4/5
Quaint, clean rooms; kitchenette was nice to have; balconies facing the ocean was awesome!! Great access to beach/pool, great location. Cons: limited parking, breakfast not included. Shower not very hot. Noisy concert across the street the first night of our stay penetrated our room til 11 p.m. Good place to stay for a certain crowd: younger, hipper, maybe.
- 2/5
Run down, rude staff, nice beach. Expensive. Sloppy joes food was poor bartenders were rude. If your expectation is a quality hotel, this is not the one
- 3/5
Under construction
- 4/5
Even though it is still under some refurbished. Still was a great place to stay
- 5/5
Fantastic stay and hotel. So how they are back open and we will be back
- 3/5
Great area to vacation in , Friendly and helpful people, Room was noise , Ice maker out side our door people filling cooler at all hours of the night, caterers wheeling food carts late at night.
- 3/5
Nice location, nice beach and access, comfortable room. Sloppy Joe’s average food and drink quality and service. Convenient restaurant. Ongoing construction was inconvenient and partially disrupting. Parking troublesome. Better stay previously.
- 3/5
We were there for 2 nights and our room was not made up or cleaned. The closet doors were off the track. The restaurant attached to the resort had terrible service, took 35 minutes to get even our drinks served. Food was served cold in several cases. The gentleman who managed the beach chairs and umbrellas was awesome!
- 2/5
DD d x d
- 3/5
It was a good stay. They are still recovering from the hurricane. I am not sure if it's the best value.
- 5/5
Love the staff how nice they are and how close to the beach
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful and the room was nice.
- 3/5
We’ll see there before it was wonderful. I realize hurricanes happen but would’ve been nice to know that they were so affected and the property wasn’t in as good as condition. I felt like we’re all cramped into one pool. The other one was like going through a war zone to get to And it just lacked some of the magic that it had before.

First time staying at the Bilmar, would definitely stay again and recommend to others. They are still recovering from the hurricane but staff was most accommodating and provided great service. Our room was clean, comfortable, and enjoyed cocktails and sunsets on our balcony. Restaurants, shopping and Publix within easy walking distance. We specifically booked a kitchenette but ended up not needing the cooktop. Between the refrigerator, microwave and Publix steaming the shrimp, all was good! We had a relaxing trip, exactly what we were hoping for!

Stayed for three nights in June. First surprise at check-in: They charged us $120 "for amenities"- use of their pool towels and beach chairs! Really? The room: run-down and dirty. Cracked shower tiles. Carpet was worn threadbare and not vacuumed during our stay. Lanaii door took all my strength to open. Worst! Woke up Thur morning with 67 bed bug bites. Left message for manager three days ago! No return call offering refund or at least apology! Dennis Heckart - Venice, FL

Our stay was enjoyable but in reality when selecting the property the pictures & descriptions of the property were very misleading. This property is still recovering from the hurricane and was undergoing a major renovation that WAS NOT identified in any of the descriptions. This impacted parking and amenities. This is an average resort at best. Personally if you are interested in this area, look in Madeira Beach or St. Pete Beach seem to have more restaurants and stores

Had a great stay, would definitely consider coming back once all renovations are complete.

Property was great but they need to resolve their timing. Watched almost all customers arrive and rooms were not ready after 4:00 pm.

Wonderful place to stay. We will stay there again.

We were disappointed with Bilmar Beach Resort. Very nice staff but this is a motel not a resort and for us it did not live up to the reviews. Allowing for ongoing storm damage repairs, we found the overall look of the property (e.g., outdoor hallways, walkways, elevator) in need of updates. Outdoor seating at Sloppy Joe's was fine but the indoor ambiance was dark and unappealing. And the smell of beer permeates the restaurant (also the temporary reception area due to storm damage) right out the front doors. The woman’s washroom needs repair (e.g., cubicle door not closing properly, chipped counter) and updating. Our 2nd floor room & amenities were fine; a clean, basic but nicely done room, in good repair, with comfortable bed. However, the air conditioner was loud. We had a distant ocean view, but the immediate view was directly over the pool; a very loud location both for the music (stopped at a reasonable 6PM) and the guests who continued in full party mode. Although we had checked-in early and accessed the room on time - a requested change to a quieter room wasn't possible. Waiting for our room, the small pool deck was too crowded to use. Despite an extensive beach, there was only one small table & awning with 2 upright chairs. There should be lots of covered, quality seating to relax and enjoy the stunning waterfront rather than risk baking in the sun. Fortunately, a helpful staffer found us an extra umbrella. Our stay was not as hoped - we would not recommend booking.

Not a quiet place. Construction could not be helped, but cleaning carts rolling by our room was loud early in the morning. Our door was not sealed well, so we heard everything and did not get great sleep.

Didn’t like the fact that they have construction every day 8am to 5:30 pm … very loud all day long
