Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. The lake view is a highlight for many guests. However, some guests have complained about the breakfast, lack of amenities, and minor issues with the rooms.
- Clean and comfortable rooms
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Breakfast is not memorable or included
- Lack of amenities such as charging for bottled water and no bathroom in restaurant

The service was excellent and the staff very friendly; everything was great—a place I would undoubtedly return to.

This was my second time staying at the Century. It’s a beautiful hotel in a great location if you’re staying in Tualatin or want to explore Portland.
- 3/5
The front desk staff was friendly. My room was clean. The location was excellent, close to town and the freeway. The third level is the best; however, on the second and first levels, you can hear all the footsteps from guests above, which made it difficult for me to fall asleep. I might have just had a noisy guest above me. It’s not worth the $257 a night, but it’s still a charming older hotel. I loved the beautiful lake view and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor balcony overlooking the lake. Overall, I’d give it three stars, but I am leaning toward four because of the location and nearby activities. Parking is easy to find. I visited from Seattle while helping family in the area. It was nice to return to Tualatin, where I went to high school 15 years ago. I paid for five nights elsewhere near Fred Meyer and am having better luck there.

It would have been nice to have the double queens available on the lakeside and just not the parking lot view.
- 5/5
Great location! Rooms were very clean- bed as bedding very comfortable. All the staff were great! I just wished they had double queen beds that faced the lake.

The restaurant in the hotel is excellent and it was nice to walk around the lake. Would only stay again in a lake view room.
- 5/5
Would be nice if there was an entrance into the e restaurant from inside the hotel!

Beautiful views, comfortable beds and pillows. Staff is amazing. Rooms themselves are clean but the building is quite old and looks grungy.

It’s in a great location, we were able to walk to many restaurants, and stroll around the pond. The AM and the PM fellows behind the desk are always so very friendly and always make us feel welcome We really have no complaints

This is definitely one of my favorite hotels. Staff is wonderful. Great location. Upscale and comfortable. Loved it

Hotel was pretty and quiet. Almost no other people were there. Free coffee downstairs was cool too. Balcony facing the road seems silly

I paid a very high rate for this room because it had a fireplace. But the fireplace turns off every 15 min automatically and you have to get up and turn on the timer on the wall, and it makes a loud ticking sound the whole time its on. I never would have paid so much had they been transparent about the fireplace. The worst part was I paid such a high price with expedia (and no breakfast is even included) but the hotel was only charging much less in person for the same room. Both expedia AND the hotel refused to match my rate. I wont stay here ever again and I also wont use expedia ever again either.

I visited for the Pumpkin Regatta. It is always fun to watch from the lakeside balcony.
- 5/5
Didn’t go to the pool. The balcony has a great view of the man made lake. Beautiful fall colors around it. Good selection of places to eat.
- 5/5
was immaculate and the confort exceptional.

First time staying at this hotel - and in Tualatin: this property way exceeded my expectations. Very nice hotel, spacious rooms, many with balconies. And located in a wonderful, walkable area .. restaurants, shopping or just exercise (shout out to Tualatin on that.) 10/10 would stay again.

With a bit renovation and equipping rooms with some amenities rhe hotel can be standard 5 stars .

Taking shower was disastrous because red water coming out for few or maybe more miutes. Smell mold black spot in hot tub. My plan was to stay 3 nights but end up one nights.

Nothing
- 3/5
I didn’t hate this place or love it. But I def did not feel like I got a $300/night room. My room had an odd smell like my grandpa’s hair cream cabinet, the toilet didn’t flush that well, and just overall not very impressive considering the price. Kinda underwhelming.
- 5/5
Everything we were looking for.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing. Clean room and spacious.
- 5/5
The hotel is a very nice property with lots of nice places to go around. The staff is super nice, understanding, and helpful
- 5/5
Thank you for a wonderful stay! Beautiful!
- 5/5
Staff was perfect. Place is beautiful
- 5/5
We always stay here when visiting out daughter in Tualatin. This hotel is perfect for that. It's not a chain and I do recommend calling the hotel directly for reservations as booking though service does not get you they extra discounts they do have.
- 5/5
Multiple restaurants within walking distance the hotel was quiet and clean
- 5/5
Second stay and is wonderful and easy on off interstate. Lake side this time and very nice balcony for morning coffee. Attached restaurant is wonder for breakfast/brunch

It was great!
- 5/5
Staff very friendly. Small glitch after extending our stay by a day but it was handled quickly & efficiently. Large, comfortable room, very quiet & many pillow choices. Undergoing some renovations to ad a little grab-n-go market.

- 5/5
Lovely spacious room with view of water.
- 5/5
Enjoyed brief stay.
- 5/5
Great stay! Met up with a friend to catch up and this was the perfect place-equal distances from our homes. There are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping places close to the hotel. We were treated well by staff and were able to check in two hours early. In the future this will be our meet up hotel. We are calling it “The Spot.”
- 5/5
Love the location, close to home but feels like you’re on vacation. Each stay has been wonderful.

Beautiful hotel, I love to support independently owned properties over chain hotels. Clean and safe, got a free room upgrade. Abundant coffee and tea. Gym is small but has enough to get a good sweat on. 10/10 will stay here again.

- 5/5
Kat was our favorite part of our stay. She was warm and so welcoming! The room was clean and extremely comfortable. This hotel is truly a hidden gem and we cannot wait to come back!
- 5/5
I spent a week here in a double queen. These rooms face the front area/ parking lot. The lake facing rooms are all kings and probably are a bit more upscale due to that view. My room was fine for 2 adults with 2 kids. The pool was great. Hot tub was relaxing and perfectly hot. Clean.
- 5/5
Overall perfect, , convenient, clean and nice space. Easy parking.

- 5/5
The elevator was down the last day of the visit, which was a little difficult.
- 5/5
Great place to stop by on a teip
- 3/5
It was nothing terrible or special. The property is quite dated. It is in a convenient location for my business needs. Price seems high for location.
- 3/5
Terrible internet service. Unusable. We’ve stayed here a number of times. The poor internet has driven us away. We will never stay here again.
- 5/5
Love the lake adjacent to the hotel which can be walked around. also, great food options including Brix tavern which is connected to the hotel.
- 5/5
Staff was engaging and supportive of parking a motorcycle close to the front.
- 4/5
The folks were very friendly and the room was immaculate. Our only complaint was a very noisy air conditioner. (It was so late when we realized the problem, we just turned it off which made our night uncomfortable.) But except for that issue it we were pleased with our stay.
- 4/5
Great location. Walkable to ma y restaurants.
- 5/5
Richard was great
- 5/5
The room and property was super clean. I also loved the lake, we really enjoyed watching the ducks and the activities around the lake.
- 5/5
Perfect little stop. Staff was nice and the resturant Brix was amazing
- 5/5
Great hotel right on the water. Older and the entire building is a bit dated but a comfortable and quiet stay nonetheless with great service and friendly front desk personnel. The Brix restaurant was really great as well.
- 4/5
We loved the facility and the restaurant close by but didn't like the fact that we are handicapped and our room was so far from the lobby! Really??
- 4/5
We stayed on the street side rather than lake side and it was very noisy due to racing traffic! Nice facility and we liked the suite.
- 5/5
The service was fabulous! The room was clean and comfortable. I especially appreciate the hotel staff's graciousness considering my many cancel flights and uncertainty, and additionally, my ADA-related needs. they went above and beyond to accommodate my situation. Thank you very much!
- 5/5
It's a very friendly place and the rooms are spacious and comfortable.
- 5/5
This has become our go-to hotel when we do wine tasting in Tualatin/Newberg. Clean, great service, easy to find.
- 4/5
It was in a cute area with some great dining options!
- 5/5
Very beautiful
- 5/5
Nicely appointed. I chose a small room just for myself and was impressed with how it was laid out and the decor. It was comfortable and cozy. It even had a small balcony. I would definitely stay there again.
- 1/5
Tu bad not good service I call not answer no Cary answer not good
- 3/5
The hotel needs an upgrade, the “lake” is not a lake it’s a large pond. Still a nice view and cute little area.I would give it 5.5 for the $215 I spent for a night. No free breakfast! Good food in surroundings areas.
- 5/5
Nice big rooms and comfortable beds. Good water pressure for showering and clean. Nice restaurants nearby on the little manmade lake - walkable.
- 5/5
The gentleman that checked me in was the friendliest person I have met in a very long time. Room was amazing and very clean.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, clean facilitys and room. Enjoyed the lake in back with enjoyable restaurants.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel with a balcony overlooking a small lake. Very relaxing and quiet. Great place to stay.
- 5/5
Great place, great location
- 2/5
I drove 40 minutes out of the way to stay at this hotel, because their photos misled me into believing the time and money invested into the experience would be well spent. I paid for the opportunity to relax lakeside in a serene setting, eat a good meal, and get some work done. Bottom line: I felt the photos totally misrepresented the property and the hospitality experience was subpar - well below anything I've experienced in decades of travel. I tried to express these feelings shortly after checking in, but the front desk didn't care and just stonewalled. Frustrated (but always polite,) I asked to speak with a manager, but no one ever reached out; I never heard from anyone during my stay, and I haven't received a follow up call since. (It's been about 1 week.) I don't like seeing a business whose revenue is driven by hospitality do so poorly. It's bad for owners, employees, and customers.
- 5/5
Love the Century Hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. This is our home away from home when we are in Oregon.
- 5/5
Our flight got in early and the Hotel let us check in earlier than expected, they were kind and accommodating. We also needed to extend our stay for an extra night ans they made it happen for us. I habe stayed here before and loved it . This time was great as well. We will be back :-)
- 5/5
The room was very nice and comfortable. The staff were helpful. The only down side was the the demo going on below our room. All in all we will be staying there again on our next trip and will be recommending it to all our family and friends visiting there.
- 5/5
A little late night and early morning noise and early morning heavy stepper above. The cabinet outside the bathroom should be on the opposite wall. It’s a toe stubber in the middle of the night. Not impressed with the breakfast choices. Nice view of the lake.
- 1/5
They accused us of stealing an ironing board, pillow, and iron. They took 200 dollars out of my account for the missing items. I called Century hotel, trying to get my money back, and they said no. Never will I stay here again.
- 5/5
Lovely location, helpful staff. Clean, good value.
- 4/5
It’s an older hotel in a nice location. There is a lake that the property sits on. The bed was good, which is important. The breakfast was sparse, but they did have gluten free options, which was another plus.
- 5/5
Since I was working in Tigard, and didn't know the area, this seemed like a good bet. There were no noisy kids running in the halls at 10pm, nor traffic noises.
- 5/5
Beautiful view overlooking a little lake, calm and quiet. Good size room, great bed/clean/comfy.
- 5/5
A lovely older hotel, with views of the water. There are restaurants around the little lake all in walking distance. The staff was great. We will stay again when visiting the grandkids.
- 5/5
It was nice
- 5/5
Beautiful property. Very nice view, comfortable, spacious room. I recommend for sure.
- 5/5
They included a nice variety for breakfast as well. That, along with great service, would make me stay again! Really nice area to walk around in too.
- 4/5
Room nicely arranged
- 1/5
Construction noise very early in the morning. Unpleasant stay from beginning to end. Do not recommend.
- 5/5
This was a nice place with restaurants near by within walking distance along with banks and other amenities. Room was comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
The view on the lake is lovely.
- 5/5
The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful, they made me feel welcome. The room was very clean.
- 5/5
I was pleasantly surprised at how large even a regular room is. Most hotel rooms try and put everything in the room and you have to walk sideways to get around stuff. Not this one. Also the view of the lake in the morning with something very special.
- 4/5
Probably won't stay here again.
- 5/5
Lakeside and Hayden's
- 5/5
Extra large rooms with wonderful lake views, excellent service, very comfortable bed, quiet, easy parking. I enjoyed a 4 night stay as a solo traveler. The hotel is a little dated and not luxurious, but better than most in its category in my opinion.
- 5/5
hotel was great, just wish the restaurant would've been open
- 5/5
Hotel was perfect for a quick trip to the Portland area . Has a restaurant connected that has dinner and drinks . Hotel had early continental breakfast the days I stayed . Very quite .
- 5/5
The staff were all friendly and engaging from check-in to check-out!
- 4/5
Nice weather provided a great view of the lake .

- 5/5
Beautiful place to stay with wonderful staff! I wish I had another night or two to stay here, it was so wonderful and the bed was so comfy. The balcony was nice to have and the room was quite spacious.
- 4/5
Set on a small manmade lake with shopping and restaurants around walkable perimeter. Nice at night with lights. Property is nicely kept. Room was large, nice enough bath, good water pressure. Did not use continental breakfast. Staff was friendly, helpful. Restaurant in hotel. Outdoor dining available.
- 5/5
Very happy. Room was large and patio was nice. Liked the location.
- 4/5
Great hotel, perfect location, great shopping. Disappointed in breakfast options. The hotel pricing is back to pre Covid, but no longer includes a hot breakfast. It is a grab a go option. Pricing should reflect the lack of restaurant breakfast. Will reconsider this option in the future, if the restaurant continues to only be lunch and dinner.
