The front desk staff was delightful. The room was big. The bed was a little bit squishy for my taste. The free breakfast was amazing! The variety of foods was incredible, including make your own waffles, bagels, hard-boiled eggs, oatmeal, eggs, and bacon, fresh vanilla yogurt, with toppings to make a parfait, variety of juices, and of course, coffee.

Clean, easy to find. Paper thin towels, poor water pressure in the shower.

Room was comfortable and clean. A/c was off when we arrived and took hours to copl down. Waffle batter had a bad aftertaste.

Mita at the front desk was great. He worked very hard at both the desk and in at complimentary breakfast. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel price gauging that goes on during graduation season is horrible. I will say that this Best Western had one of the better room rates, but it was still more than anyone should pay for a hotel room.

Staff goes in your room without permission. What’s the point of having a do not disturb sign if it is not respected?

Front desk is totally unprofessional. My wife was traveling alone and, upon check-in late at night and with at least one other male behind her in line, the front desk person proceeds to announce that she is on the ground floor, her room number, how to get to her room and that she is alone so only needs one key. What!? I travel for a living and this has t happened to me in many years. Hotels are not supposed to do this. This is a major safety concern for a female traveling alone. When I called hotels.com, they did contact this hotel and the hotel proceeded to deny this ever happened. When I had to pay $610 at a below average hotel due to the demand this particular weekend, I know I’m waaay overpaying for a hotel that is not good but I at least expect them to make the guests feel safe, which they failed to do quite spectacularly. Don’t stay here. Totally unprofessional as well as liars.

This location, while not on campus is right on a bus line that takes you straight there in 10 min. Walk to the next bus stop and it’s actually a free ride. Nice evening snacks and typical morning breakfast. It worked perfectly for us urbanites used to taking a bus and walking places. Maple and Yolk next door as a bonus.

Needed a quick stop on a 10 hour drive. This hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff were nice. The hotel was fine. A pretty standard hotel breakfast.

I contacted Expedia the following morning and the representative Daniela Kris called the hotel. The hotel lied about the whole situation and told Daniela that I asked for an upgrade to a room with jacuzzi and there for they couldn’t do anything for me. I wish customer service would come back once again. I didn’t think I asked anything that should’ve happened in the first place. Clean and fresh room. Booking with third party will get you maybe the best price but also the worst room. I packed and left.

I wasn't expecting much to be honest, just something clean for Dad's weekend. I was pleasantly surprised by the easy check-in process, comfortable bed, and mostly up-to-date room. The room/bathroom was small and the breakfast was mid but I wasn't planning to treat this like a resort. This is a clean and close to campus to put my head down and get some quality sleep. By those measures, it was a great stay.

Friendly staff & room was very comfortable

I was a little scared to leave my car unattended, but I had to enjoy my stay to the fullest. There was a little noise from the upstairs area when people were walking or jumping, but and I was a little concerned with the window as well, but the window was locked. I did hear someone outside of the window, but I didn’t see or hear anyone get in or try to rattle the window, but I did hear someone in the back where the window was.

Pleasant staff and very accommodating. Not the Ritz, but not paying for the Ritz. Good value for the money.

Needed to use the printer hooked to the computer provided by the hotel. Printer did not work and the staff could have cared less. Not sure they understood me. Said to email an address and give them the material to print out. Major security risk. I declined

Booked hotel for Illini Game overnight stay; hotel was just as you'd expect for an average Best Western. Rooms were fine, AC was good, check-in and out was non-incidental. Didn't try free breakfast, there is a very popular breakfast restaurant right across the street. They have ice water and coffee in the lobby 24/7 which was a nice touch. For those looking to swim, there was a reservation required where 5 rooms can swim at one time and no more than two hour blocks. This didn't matter to us as weren't planning to use the pool, but thought I would mention it to others as this was disclosed AFTER booking. Overall, would stay there again for another game.

I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels, but this one was overall clean safe and staff friendly. The breakfast was very nice and obtainable wasn’t overcrowded and they kept it stocked if you’d like continental breakfast the pool is nice and the staff gave us fresh towels when we requested them and generally very kind And welcoming. Highly recommend this place for you for work or 4family traveling five stars.

While right off the 74 freeway on Lincoln Ave. (excellent location), this motel gives off peaceful vibes as soon as you pull into the parking lot. A row of trees separate it from the highway, and the back is a pleasant green lawn. Rooms are a step nicer than budget minimal. Breakfast is fairly generous. My only negative comment is that the owner changes the Wi-Fi password very frequently, so you can lose connection the next day if you don't ask again.

Found a cockroach crawling on the walls in daylight. Air condition wasn't working properly.

We booked through hotels.com for 4 nights. We had to leave a day early. Since hotels.com is considered prepaid, we had to pay for the 4th night even tho we checked out early morning before and notified the hotel the day prior that we needed to leave early. No refunds. Will really consider whether to use hotels.com for multiple nights again

The guy working when we checked in was super nice and helpful. He even offered to make sure myself and the others traveling with me had our rooms close together. One issue was that the hotel ran out of wash cloths. The room was very clean, comfortable bed and plenty of room. The bathroom however is not ideal. Door does not open all the way for hitting the shower rod, when in the shower the curtain is too short and water gets in the floor, the door also barely misses the toilet so once in the bathroom you must close the door then slide to the toilet. Overall good stay, just not an ideal bathroom for more than one person.

Im grateful for coffee, some snacks and water at the lobby 24/7. The bed is very comfortable, better than other BW we have stayed. However, there’s very minimal protein selection for vegetarians on some days. The carpet feels somehow sticky in the room. I’m overall happy with the stay.

The ice machine was very noisy and being used to fill coolers. Perhaps management can put up a sign that instructs guests to use the ice machine on the 1st floor to fill coolers going forward.

Quick overnight stay. Booked online via Expedia and they were expecting my late arrival. Friendly staff at desk, even pointed out I was exactly 27 days older than his dad, LOL. Room was clean, price was decent, breakfast minimal but ok. Towels were clean and sufficient but some of the scratchiest towels I’ve ever encountered in a hotel. But good value, convenient on/off access from I-74 and would stay here again.

We had an alarm go off and a tapping sound in our room that was inconvenient. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The smoke alarm when off and stayed on for about 45 min waking me and my family up and the fire department ever came. We came to rest not be disturbed

The bathroom in our room was not very cleaned and there was only one soap for hand wash. No soap for showering! When we were paying $300+ for a night, this is a very bad experience. In addition, the air-conditioning unit was not working properly. It stopped producing cool air every now and then. I will not recommend or stay at hotel ever!

Our stay at this Best Western was a great experience. All of the hotel staff were very knowledgeable and pleasant. The hotel was very clean, and our room was very clean as well. No issues with anything in the room, the Wi-Fi worked great. It was refreshing to stay at a hotel that has a microwave and a refrigerator still in the room. The breakfasts were also great, there was eggs, sausage, oatmeal, a variety of different milks, hard boiled eggs, bagels, everything you could want for a good breakfast. The parking lot was well lit and very conveniently located off the highway. We would have no issue staying here again, especially for the great rates the hotel offered.

My only real complaint isn't something they can fix - it's the location. No real food or shopping in walking distance. But as long as you have a car, there are plenty of options nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

The fitness room wasn't very good at all. Old equipment crammed into a small room. Worked but not great. The biggest annoyance was that the lights would auto-shut off after 20 minutes so when I was on the treadmill, I was exercising in the dark. Breakfast was BAD. Not many options. The bagel I had was hard as a brick. Not sure the toaster worked very well. Nasty egg-looking things with some weird looking biscuits and gravy. There was yogurt but just plain with no fruit options. I just didn't eat breakfast there after the first day. Pretty mediocre attempt at a breakfast. Overall, felt like the hotel was just doing the bare minimum. Not going over and beyond. Just enough to be fine but not great at anything. Too bad because the service was very excellent. People were friendly and helpful!

In Champagne/Urbana for my son’s surgery at Carle Hospital. Last minute booking at Midwestern University Inn. I would definitely return, very clean, very courteous staff and the continental breakfast was very good. The mattress was so comfortable, I slept so good. Only complaint is the bathroom door doesn’t open all the way because it hits the toilet. Ha!

Their pay at property policy has a stipulation in it is not stated at the time of booking.. They try to charge your card the morning of your stay even before you check in.. When I book and it says "Pay at Property" that's what I should be able to do.. No other hotel does this.. Other than that it was a great room to stay in..

We had a very nice stay. Staff was very friendly.

The towels are like sandpaper. The bathroom door didn’t but open but a foot because the toilet is in the way. It smells musty, moldy. The floors upstairs creek and the beds so that’s all you hear all night . Walls must be paper thin. I could hear the person snoring upstairs or next to us. I wouldn’t stay here again especially at the jacked up rate for dad’s weekend.

I checked in really late at night -- 3 AM. And the woman at the front desk was helpful, polite, and even though she seemed slightly surprised to see me, got me checked in pretty quickly. The room could use a little bit of a face-lift. You can see some wear and tear on it, but nothing that was off-putting. I was somewhat curious about the large wooden "shelf" or "platform" in the room that didn't seem to serve any particular function other than taking up space. But again, overall this was an excellent experience and for the price, I absolutely can't complain. The staff was very courteous and friendly and I would definitely stay here again the next time I come through the Champaign area.

Loved this hotel. Modern & CLEAN

Very convenient to I74. Check-in was a breeze with Alexa at the desk. There is one family style restaurant across the street, but many other choices in Urbana city center approx. 2 miles away. This is an older BW but is still clean and comfortable. Above-average hot breakfast. Would stay again.

Biggest drawback was lower quality shampoo, room was great, nice that you only have to book one night on UIUC game days.

I am a 53 year old grown woman staying one night and the check-in staff felt the need to focus on and repeatedly tell me the rules and extra charges for having extra guests. Even charged me a $50 damage deposit. I confirmed it’s just me tonight. She still gave me 2 keys and repeated all the rules as if I was lying? Not the place to stay if you don’t want to be treated like an irresponsible child. Made me concerned about loudness and parties but it was quiet.
