Affordable price, clean environment, and nice staffs.

The air conditioning was perfect

Room smelled bad of cigarette smoke especially in the bathroom. For the price the room is very outdated.
- 4/5
daily cleaning, most of the staff was friendly, room amenities, parking etc was good.

I went up to the front desk to see how we could resolve this and I ended up being yelled at by both the front desk lady and the cleaning lady, I was trying to let them know I really didn’t want to cause trouble but I ended up leaving because I am not confrontational and it was two ladies yelling at me they made me feel like a child and it’s their fault but pointed the finger at me. After I went back to my room we received a call saying we could switch rooms to a clean one, which I don’t understand why they didn’t just do that in the first place. It was grad weekend at Urbana so there were no other hotels we could really go to because they were all triple the price. Please be careful with this place!!

Did not get breakfast because of the loud employee throwing bananas into the bowl while dropping f-bombs for some unknown reason. All furniture in our room was scraped, chipped, worn out - I’ve seen better furniture in frat houses. The bed was adequate. Also, did I mention the loud employee throwing bananas into the bowl while dropping f-bombs for some unknown reason?

We arrived much earlier than the check in time. When I reached out to the property via booking, I was advised to call the morning of the reservation. I called first thing and was offered a check in time of 1:30, rather than the standard 3pm. There was no extra charge. The bed was comfortable and the linens and towels were clean, and the shower had good pressure. Coffee and hot water are available 24/7. There is a great breakfast and lunch restaurant around the corner from the property - Maple and Yolk, and there is also a Circle K within walking distance for any convenience store needs. Staff were nice and helpful as much as they were allowed within the property's guidelines. Our bathroom smelled strongly of cigarette and marijuana smoke. We had to keep the fan on continuously to help with the smell. There is a sign on the door that there is NO SMOKING of cigarettes or marijuana in the rooms or bathrooms. I let the person at the front desk know that it wasn't us! She said the building is old and the smell is in the vents. It smelled pretty fresh to me. There is no holding of luggage, so we had to wait in the small lobby with our luggage until we could check in - for about 1.5 hours. We would have rather stored our luggage and go exploring around the campus.

Great location. Clean room.
- 3/5
Clean property. We appreciated the cooler of drinks and baskets of snacks. Rooms were really expensive because it was mom’s weekend.
- 4/5
Breakfast isn't that good. Otherwise, pretty happy with it.
- 1.5/5
White bread, high sugar only cereal, unhealthy breakfast NO shower bars in the shower!!! This is really bad as our nation ages. Woman at check in made confusing statements. Like'You didn't pay us-you paid a third party, we need to take your charge card again" WHAT-scared me. She should have said "welcome, please swipe your card in case any additional charges." Not friendly.
- 2/5
The health certificate in the breakfast area expired in 2020
- 5/5
very quiet establishment was very clean. I was very happy to be there.
- 3.5/5
Clean, Quiet and friendly staff Very limited breakfast options. The breakfast included only couple of cereal options , bread butter & jam. Seemed very few..
- 5/5
Clean room, heat worked, room had a funny smell
- 3/5
Traveling so this hotel fit the bill. I had basically two sentences spoken upon checking in and another two sentences checking out with staff. This was an old hotel that needs a facelift. Beyond the domestics however the beds were comfortable and the room was ok. Although close to highway it as quiet.
- 1/5
The lady at the front desk was very nice. The foyer smelled horribly of weed. Mouse poop on the bed under the pillow. The entrance of our serving room smelled like cat urine. Every single time someone went in or out of a room, the doors would SLAM. The place was in complete disrepair. It sounded like wild horses galloping above us. And even better - listening to the couple having sex in the room next to us. At 8am the next morning, hearing people YELLING down the hall was ridiculous. The fact that I am a person that tries not to complain, and give the benefit of the doubt, tested every part of my being at this hotel.
- 2.5/5
Very noisy. Paper thin walls.
- 2.5/5
Convince Run down feeling.
- 4/5
The AC worked great, the shared door between rooms didn’t keep the sound out from the other room. Thankfully it wasn’t to bad. Staff was friendly and overall I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Very good stay! Very nice workers
- 4.5/5
We had an easy time checking in, the room was clean and very comfortable . I felt there could have been a little more to the breakfast that was offered for example pastries. It was white bread, mini bagels, and cereal. There was coffee and juice. Some places actually serve eggs, sausage, bacon, and have a waffle machine. The breakfast was alittle skimpy.
- 4/5
The fact that it says handicap accessible yet there was no electric handicapped button or buzzer to reach the front desk from the main entrance, to open the door. Breakfast options were iffy, cereal was for fat people & 5-year-olds, filled with sugar. Oatmeal was available but a foam bowl doesn't microwave well... instead of eating I was cleaning up a melted bowl and microwave tray after following the cooking directions on the packet.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was nice!
- 5/5
No tv view from hot tub. Pool.is down
- 5/5
IV stayed at a handful of motels and hotels in the area and I'd recommend any body that wants a clean lobby staff rooms and bathrooms to come stay here if I ever need to get another one again this is my place to go from here on out most definitely I'm not going to any other place even if it's 20 minutes further or whatever I'm still coming here because the staff was friendly very helpful clean rooms clean restroom you just can't beat thinking about if the room's clean or not but I'm telling you this place is awesome Kind of the only thing was the highway noise is kind of loud but it dies down after a certain time about 7:00 at night the heaters are set on a system to where if you said it at a certain temp and you leave for the day and you come back you have to wait for it to be back up to that temp it doesn't just stay at that temp when you leave to preserve energy
- 5/5
Great clean room and nice staff
- 5/5
The price.
- 4/5
I liked that we were able to have a later check out. They have us more towels when needed. Maybe providing conditioner and body wash other than that it was great!
- 4/5
Very good breakfast during UIUC graduation period. None
- 5/5
Very good for the price
- 3.5/5
I missed breakfast at this time but I had the chance to have it during an earlier stay at the Rodeway INN (May 2025). Nothing fancy but it was appropriate for my needs. Contacting the property at the contact phone number listed by Booking.com did no work at the time I called (8-9 pm). I used another number I found under their Rodeway INN website and the person who answered gave me misleading information by stating that he could not see my Booking reservation and that probably I did not have a reservation. But when I checked in (ca 10:30pm) there was another front desk person who quickly and efficiently checked me in!
- 4/5
Clean room, friendly staff. Fair price!
- 4/5
Not many amenities but basically a decent room. Only had shampoo but no body wash or conditioner
- 5/5
Parking was easy. Room clean
- 5/5
Clean rooms, quick checking in and out, quiet, polite stuff.
- 3/5
I barely interacted with the staff. My room was organized, but the furniture looked quite old and the comforter of my bed did not look very clean. I would qualify my room in the border between modest and dingy. They had complementary breakfast, and free snacks in the lobby. It was ok for me since I was traveling alone. I would not stay there with my wife or my family.
- 5/5
Staff was nice and helpful room was clean as well
- 4/5
Clean basic room. Only issue was loud Halloween partyers!
- 3/5
The room was old and had a musty old cigarette smell to it. Linens weee clean but not soft. Breakfast was disappointing. Toast and cereal
- 5/5
Staff is great, housekeeping is great, most guests are quiet and respectful. Maple and Yolk has decent food and is a stone’s throw away. If you ride transit, the bus runs daily about every 12-20 minutes. Upper management is great, all the way up to ownership. Great off the grid spot!
- 4/5
Everything was good
- 3/5
The hotel room smelled like weed and cigarettes as soon as we walked in, was fairly clean but not 100%
- 4/5
TV was a little blurry but many channels to choose from. Breakfast selection was minimal.

This was our 2nd stay in a month. We had 2nd floor room which was so much quieter. The rooms are large, clean, have TVs, fridges, & microwaves. The hotel is at the end of an industrial park and secluded. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. There is a small continental breakfast of cereal, bagels, juice, tea, coffee & water. The only negatives are these: the tubs have about a 2 ft side to climb over (I’m 5’2” and the sides come to my knee), the lobby smells like pot in the evenings, and the AC/heat is motion sensitive. So at nite when lites are out and you’re not moving it goes off. When you leave the room during the day, it shuts off. So you walk into a hot room, wake up early in the morning to hot room, etc. The only way we kept it going was by leaving a light on & had a fan going.

Rooms were spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly. The lobby had small continental breakfast and water. Downside was you can hear everything from the hallway, including ice machine and lobby smelled of pot smoke every evening only. There were always people in the parking lot (usually men) hanging out in the evenings and road leading to hotel was unkept with long grass.
- 5/5
It was a good place to stay while AudioFeed was going on. Bed was comfortable.
- 1/5
We left and went elsewhere as there was no air and were supposed to get new room but staff member never came back to help.
- 5/5
This was absolutely an amazing stay, the atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff accommodated for my sick dog that we came to Urbana to get treatment for. They made this the easiest part of our trip , especially Trisha and Beau, they are so sweet ! Trisha went out of her way to check the cameras making sure our food delivery wasn’t stolen, this made me feel so comfortable and safe. I know i can trust these people with my life if i ever stay again ! Thank you to everyone who contributed to this amazing stay. If i am in town again i will definitely be spending my night here !
- 5/5
Beautiful, clean and spaciuos rooms
- 5/5
Clean and quiet.
- 4/5
Rooms close to the door are difficult due to people coming in at all hours of the night and the door slamming shut.
- 3/5
Rooms were not kept up. Pillows were flat, bathroom needed to be redone - obvious water damage. Crazy overcharge for graduation weekend.
- 3/5
Quite, comfortable room
- 4/5
Went for spring explosion derby so didn’t stay in room much just to sleep and shower. It was clean and comfortable. And perfect for our needs.
- 3/5
About what expect for the cost. Building a bit dated but management does good job at keeping up. Breakfast consisted of some muffins and donuts and bananas.
- 2/5
The place was very dingy. Our bath tub had major cracks in it and our toilet barely worked. You had to push the handle multiple times before the toilet would even flush. The sheets were all stained and I’m pretty sure we’re not changed from the last guest. When I pulled back the blanket there were crumbs in the bed.

Good, easy check in,

very clean

Best hotel for the money

Cigarette smoke and shower was kinda broken

- 3/5
Room was decent. There was some damage to the walls that was patched up and most of the wall outlets did not work. Beds were clean and room overall was okay.
- 5/5
Love this hotel when I come into town. Champaign-Urban is my hometown, so I come here a lot. The hotel is always clean and also quiet so you can rest and relax. The best hotel in town for the price.
- 2/5
The hotel staff did an incomplete job checking me in. Never reported that i paid cash. Upon checkout i left the hotel, where immediately they started trying to hit my card on file for the stay. Upon returning to the hotel they acted as if i had not paid cash. They required a manager from another hotel come watch the security footage of me checking in. This took forever, only to see that i indeed paid cash. In this day and age, no hotel lets you check in without paying. This was a scam imo!
- 4/5
Good place
- 5/5
Excelent service
- 1/5
Would not stay here again. Heard doors slamming all night. Pillows are tiny. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. Room smelled. What money I saved staying at this dump will be spent at the chiropractor. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else
- 3/5
Staff was nice.
- 5/5
This is a pretty basic hotel. Its was clean and comfortable. Service was okay. I missed breakfast cuz it ended at 9am. Was never told about the breakfast at check in.
- 4/5
Hotel was a bit dated, but very clean and very well operated. They had lots of snacks, cookies, freshbfruit and soft drinks for FREE! My back hurt for a couple of days because the mattress was a bit soft, but I slept well both nights. Overall a very good stay!!
- 4/5
Good stay. Pretty clean and cozy. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
the staff was really nice and understanding
- 5/5
The main desk should understand or at least mention the MTD as a way around. I found out from a waitress at a restaurant that instead of paying $20 to $70 for parking, I took the bus for $1 and the stop was a five minute walk from the motel. By the way, the staff should be aware of where the bus stop is.
- 5/5
Reasonable rates

급하게 제일 남은 싼 옵션 중 잡았는데 정말 괜찮았습니다.
- 1/5
The ac unit would not stay on and room smelled awful
- 4/5
Facility was relatively clean but furniture was outdated and not in the best of condition. Overall experience was very pleasant and the staff was phenomenal.
- 4/5
Felt like home
- 4/5
Got the job done as expected. Room was exactly as pictured and suited my needs for 4 night stay. Nothing glamorous but Desiree at the desk was helpful and had no issues during the stay. Would stay again for the price and ease of access.
- 1/5
Smelled bad and beds are uncomfortable
- 3/5
Very nice property although there was a bit of an odor entering the room
- 5/5
Desirae at the front desk went out her way to help me and our family she’s great staff
- 3/5
Main concern was the room had a musty odor.
- 4/5
Good bedding and towels. excellent value for the price.
- 4/5
They didn't clean around the parking lot
- 4/5
Easy and convenient location.
- 5/5
Small but well kept room. Very nice place for a cheap stay.
- 2/5
Grounds not properly maintained. Looked overgrown. Wifi was very unreliable.
- 3/5
The room was clean but the carpet was so old it looked dirty or past cleaning It needs to be updated with new furniture and carpets and even room doors Everything is old, scratched in need of repairs and paint

Smells very badly. Need to keep window open all the night.
- 4/5
This offered what I needed at a reasonable price. The bed was comfortable and there was adequate room for clothes, a desk, internet, etc. (No way to make coffee in the room.) However, my room smelled like an ashtray.
- 4/5
Overall our stay was good
- 4/5
Nice and clean place. Unfortunately noisy at night - lots of traffic and train noise
- 5/5
We had such a great stay. The room was nice and clean. The staff was friendly. We stayed for mom’s weekend at U of I and the staff went above their normal to make all of the moms feel very welcome. A few extra treats and cold drinks to keep hydrated and always asking how they can help! We will be back next year.
- 1/5
The most uncomfortable bed ever. The building was smelly even though you had to leave a deposit they we wouldn’t smoke but it smelled like mararjuana. It was dirty and the ice machine right outside our room was extremely noisy.
- 3/5
A regular hotel with 5stars staff
- 4/5
Convenient stop along my trip
- 3/5
It smelled like cigarettes. The room, the sheets, everything. Ugh it gave us headaches and was awful. Other than that it was fairly comfortable for the price. The staff were SO kind, that was the one saving grace.
- 3/5
The only thing was no ironing so bring your own and no ice machine they don't clean our room we stay for two nights I don't know if you have to request that.
- 5/5
Good 👍👍👍👍
- 5/5
We were impressed with how clean the room as well as the lobby and grounds were. The staff was friendly and everything went very smoothly.

We love this hotel! Rooms are large and it’s quiet! We will be returning!

- 5/5
We were pleased with the property.
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful! They made coffee for me when I had to work night shift. Would bring a pillow because they’re not very fluffy. Overall nice, quiet, and comfortable stay
- 4/5
My wife did not like the stained sofa.
- 5/5
Clean and quiet
- 1/5
Police were here when we arrived so that was a bad sign. First room smelled so bad we decided to check out. The room also had burns on the sink countertop. Couldn’t get a refund but the desk lady gave us another room which was way better. Staff was nice but this place is brutal.

Was just what we needed
- 5/5
It's very clean, staff is nice and will hek6 the big
- 4/5
Smelled like cigarette smoke though property is smoke free. Carpets needs to be replaced. Friendly staff, no noise even though property is close to the highway, very basic breakfast
- 4/5
Hotel was clean, comfortable and welcoming. Staff was very friendly. Cookies, a welcome goodie bag and cold drinks were offered upon arrival. Pastries and coffee were readily available in the morning. Close proximity to UIUC. Nice stay for our family for parents weekend!
- 5/5
Great price for quality of room. Just respect the staff and they'll give the same back!
- 3/5
Generally fine, though the lobby smelled of smoke, and the room wasn't super fresh. Was surprised that breakfast ended at 9:00 am on a weekend.
- 3/5
Hotel smelled of smoke in the hallway. Carpet in the rooms was dirty, there were visible stains. Bedding was thin. Staff was nice.
- 2/5
The horrible smell of this hotel far outweighs anything decent about it. It is incredibly musty, so much so that the entire establishment had an air of disgust. I have never felt so unclean in and after a shower. It was also very noisy and seems to attract a crowd that is late to slumber. We couldn’t wait to leave in the morning, to breath the fresh air and sit on a surface that was not in tatters or suspiciously crusty. The guy who checked us in was pleasant.
- 3/5
a little rough but do able
- 4/5
For the price it was an above average stay. Clean rooms friendly staff quiet facility.
- 5/5
We were pleasantly surprised by the clean, comfortable, and quiet night we enjoyed at the Rodeway Inn. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and quiet. Will definitely return on our next trip to University of Illinois! Should also mention that this location is super close to the campus, and all the activities that you would need to enjoy while being at the University of Illinois in Champaign!
- 3/5
Lobby & room had an odd odor. Reception staff wasn't very friendly.
- 5/5
All in all has been a great experience so far, and the staff was great.
- 3/5
This place was generally an average hotel, except for the excessive cigarette smoke. From what we could tell from the clearly posted signs, the majority, if not all, of the hotel was a non-smoking accommodation. However, the building’s interior reeked of tobacco and cannabis smoke. The bathroom was the worst. It was as if the facilities were directly connected to a smoking lounge. This is not an ideal stay for non-smokers, those with sensitive lungs, or health enthusiasts.
- 5/5
The rooms were clean. I felt safe and it was quite and peaceful.
- 1/5
Someone has smoke Marijana in the room prior to our arrival.
- 4/5
My stay was good other than the smell of the hotel. it smelt older. we had a good experience and didn’t have any issues with dirty beds or anything
- 4/5
Quick check in. Friendly desk clerk. Well lit parking lot.
- 5/5
This is the perfect No Frills hotel you're looking for. Very reasonable pricing, relatively recent renovations - no funky smelling hallways!! Staff was exceptional and helpful at every opportunity. Don't pay any attention to "1 star" accommodations. The management made good business decisions when they invested in upgrades to this facility.
