Everyone. There was so kind and check in was quick and easy. Check out with Toby was even quicker and even offered to make me coffee before I hit the road. This was perfect for traveling. The rooms are clean and the beds were even comfortable. We slept great.
- 5/5
Room was clean, amenities were standard, price was right!
- 5/5
This is not a pedestrian or low-performing motel. The room was completely clean and in order, and the staff was exceedingly smiley and professional. This place is absolutely recommended.

Bare bones - what you would expect from a motel. However, unlike many motels, this place was very clean. I especially liked the hardwood floors vs. carpeting. It was quiet, staff was super friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. Fridge was nice and cold. Bathroom was clean and shower had good water pressure. Bedding was all white and looked and smelled clean. I slept very comfortably and felt safe. The only (minor) complaint is that the carpeting in the halls were rather old and dingy, but I didnt really care about that - the room more than made up for it.
- 5/5
Stayed for graduation weekend. Clean rooms and hotel, very friendly staff, they had snacks and water in the lobby all the time and muffins and tea/coffee for breakfast. Nothing it was an enjoyable stay. Price was high but they are all high for graduation weekend.

For a weekend event at the University of Illinois, it definitely meets what you need. The rooms themselves are clean and neat with a better than solid shower. Not much in terms of amenities to rate, but will return due to cleanliness and staff friendliness in comparison to three other hotels we have used.

Very clean and affordable. Basic but you get what you pay for. Very clean. Family owned. Felt safe and would stay again.
- 4/5
We stayed during mom’s weekend because of the reasonable price. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was. Staff is friendly. Rooms were updated. Beds were comfortable. We would stay again
- 4/5
Easy parking. No frills, but fine. No carpet or Kleenex in the room.

No frills, but the staff was polite and the rooms were clean. It is close to the interstate and easy to get in and out of large parking lot. it is not close to campus, but it is an easy drive.

The room itself was clean. Zero amenities (no toiletries, no hair dryer). More water came out of bottom of the shower than the top. Tiny room - tiny sink outside of bathroom. The fan was incredibly loud. No lights in the room other than the entry. The outlet next to the bed did not work. Could hear every word from room next door and the hallways. Had to leave the window curtains open to see, but there's no privacy screen. Choice was get dressed in the dark or in public. Housekeeping came and replaced the towels and left one bed made. Ignored the other. Also charged a ridiculous amount ($250+ per night!) for a 1/2 star level motel, presumably because of Mom's day at UIUC. Would never stay here again. Complete rip off.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly, room was clean, hallways are a bit dated. Staff added some perks with complimentary snacks. Lobby and common areas could use some modernization to improve ratings. Perfect spot for visiting U of I.
- 4/5
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room did have a smell to it, but everything otherwise was clean and well maintained.
- 5/5
We went out to University of Illinois to visit our son for mom’s weekend. We went there just to sleep. It was more on the basic side but very clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Room was clean. Need to have a small coffee pot and a hair dryer. But everything else was pretty good
- 5/5
Very clean and friendly staff
- 5/5
Check in was fast and friendly. Our room was recently updated, roomy, clean and comfortable. Easy parking and well light at night. Plenty of hot water. No breakfast, but the price more than makes up for it. We will be planning on staying here again on our next visit to Urbana.
- 5/5
Was cancelled at another hotel at the last minute and needed to find another place to stay. I trusted the reviews which said it was clean and they were right! The room is nothing fancy but it was clean and had a great shower so it was a good experience.

- 5/5
Everything was excellent about the Motel 6 in Urbana, Illinois ! I've stayed here multiple times and it's all been good ! It's the cleanest Motel 6 I have ever stayed at !
- 4/5
Definitely no frills, but the place was clean, the staff was friendly, and you can't beat the price!
- 5/5
Very nice and clean, great price!
- 5/5
Clean room, courteous staff and budget friendly motel.
- 5/5
Clean rooms. Bare bones - no shampoo or hairdryer. But great service and a great price.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms.
- 3/5
THe service was good and the room and premises were clean the only issues was the lack of hot water for the shower and the herd of cattle that seemed to be occupying the room above. Walls and ceilings pretty thin.
- 2/5
Parking lot is too small as well with spaces leaving little room to open car doors.
- 5/5
Clean room, comfy bed & friendly staff.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Definitely worth the price. Affordable and rooms in good clean condition. Area was quite.
- 4/5
Parking lot was well lit for safety and security. The location has recently underwent a renovation with new painted walls, new vinyl plank flooring and baseboard trim in the room and hallways, new furniture and bedding. Our only negative comment was the mattress. I believe it is brand new and extremely firm/hard. Which made it difficult to get a uninterrupted night of sleep.
- 5/5
Convenient access to the highway and farm show
- 5/5
clean new owners
- 5/5
great property, clean
- 5/5
Everything was good, need hotter water for the shower.
- 2/5
It smelled like weed. The bathroom had stains all around tub and the towels had thin stands of thread. It was one night but couldn’t wait to leave.
- 5/5
Room and staff were great, only lukewarm hot water in the shower.
- 4/5
However, this is by far the most expensive Motel 6 I have ever stayed at (and I've stayed at many, all across the country). I did a quick check for their price at random times of the year, and it was generally 50% more than most other Motel 6. There were a couple of major local events the week I was there, and their price was more than triple the typical Motel 6 cost. A little increase because of increased demand is understandable, but $240/night for such a basic motel is unconscionable.
- 3/5
Just not good parking
- 4/5
Very convenient, close to campus, and easy access to high way.
- 4/5
Under renovation so my room was brand new. Work still being done so some extra noise and construction materials around but not a big issue. Staff is very friendly and accommodating
- 4/5
Excellent firm king size bed, one of the best I've ever had in a motel. Room was perfectly clean. Beyond that, the room and amenities were bare bones: minimal furniture, no decorations, no coffee maker, facial tissues, clock, but there was a fridge and microwave and TV and the price was right!
- 5/5
Super clean and comfy beds ✨️

Got Bed Bugs from my stay. It was terrible.
- 3/5
Beds were hard, only good thing was I just had a spot to sleep.
- 5/5
good place for the price
- 2/5
This property is normally $50-$60 a night. They charged us $450 a night because it was graduation weekend. no hairdryer no iron no ironing board no coffee in the room. That said the people were lovely and the room was clean.
- 3/5
Based on other options this one was good for the money you pay
- 4/5
Easy access to I74
- 1/5
Hotel was mediocre at best. Ran out of pillows on day we checked in. Towels were scratchy. Walls were thin.
- 2/5
Overall it was unclean, and your clothing would get a disgusting odor even if you just expose them to the motel air.
- 3/5
Look nothing like the picture it was posted with it was under renovation really dated, but the staff was friendly
- 3/5
WIFI doesn’t work. The rooms are remodeled and clean, the amenities there are good. Great beds and no carpet rooms. I wish they offer a good coffee bar. There was coffee but is not even appealing to check it out 😔
- 2/5
Shower took forever to get barely warm, hair on bathroom wall, yellow gunk on room walls. The most I've paid for a Motel 6 and the worst stay out of all.
- 3/5
The owners worked really hard to make the hotel nice but the building was not great. Old and simple.
- 5/5
We were just in town for the night for a concert. The hotel is clean and the bed isn’t bad. The pillows are awful, small and soft. The room temp was ok. Water pressure was really terrible and it took awhile for the water to warm up. It was Mom’s weekend at the university here so it cost $300 for the room. It was definitely not worth that but it was cheaper than most other places. It served the purpose.
- 5/5
Motel 6 is a place where I can go and be comfortable and I think is the only motel left to where you still are able to smoke. The staff is very nice considerate and they remember their customers no matter how long it's been since you've visited.
- 1/5
One morning a man who I could not understand was yelling through the door for me to open the door. It made me want to call the police because I didn't understand him and was unaware he worked at the hotel. When I said I din't understand him, he lost his mind and started screaming for me to open the door. It was intimidating and wildly innapropriate for an employee of the hotel to do.
- 4/5
No carpeting in room
- 3/5
I went to check out after my one-night stay. At that time the receptionist at the desk told me that she had to go inspect the room. I had no problem with that but I was patiently waiting for my deposit money of $50. She returned to the lobby and told me that another floor attendant was going to inspect the room. That person then calls to tell her there was some type of thing on the sheets and she asked me did I spill something or did I have some coffee. I had to tell her that personally I passed gas and the stain that was on the sheets was from an accidental bowel movement. It was a little bit embarrassing to have to explain something when I don't drink coffee but that was personal of what happened and to assure her that what it was several times and it will come out when it's washed. I've never had an experience like that and all the days and years that I have stayed at hotels around the world. I feel humiliated when I had to explain something of an accident to that magnitude.
- 4/5
Clean & cheap!
- 4/5
Friendly front desk rep
- 3/5
As expected for this property.
- 5/5
They had bananas, bars, coffee, & water for breakfast, completely unexpected!
- 1/5
There was a roach that came from the bathtub drain. Left immediately.
- 5/5
Absolutely. Amazing hotel highly rated the staff and the owner were amazing people.
- 1/5
Musty, cigarette smoke, cleaning products. Room appeared clean, but could not tolerate the smells. Staff was very kind though
- 5/5
Good bed good pillows hot water A/C worked and clean. And well lit parking lot.
- 5/5
Great stay, great price, clean
- 3/5
Very basic if you need a place to stay for an overnight trip. Super thin walls and floors. Can hear everything from next door and constant foot steps from above.
- 5/5
It looks a little faded on the outside (I think the blue paint has faded, but maybe that's just Motel 6's shade of blue), and the front entrance pillars have been clipped by cars. On the inside, everything is clean, fresh, and well-maintained. The front desk people (over the course of my week's stay, I think I dealt with 3-4 different people there) were all very friendly and helpful. My room (and bathroom) were large, clean, and well-maintained. The location is not scenic - it's at a busy Interstate intersection - but it is convenient for travelers and traveling. Overall - it's a basic / budget motel, but it's very well done.
- 4/5
Rooms were really clean
- 4/5
Guy with a loud air compressor at 6 this morning outside my window was annoying. Area not the best. Have to put down a $50 deposit for damages and they refund account. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Pleasant service.
- 5/5
Much nicer than we expected from a Motel 6.
- 1/5
Walking into the hotel it smelled like weed and there is a sign in the lobby that tells you how to prevent sex trafficking. The lobby was boarded up with ply wood. There were people coming in and out at all times of the night. Did not feel safe
- 4/5
Good stay, room was clean and comfortable for a good rate. Would stay again.
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and were taken care of everyday. Fresh sheets and towels were always taken care of as well. Overall a great stay.
- 5/5
Nice hotel for the price. Slightly dated but to be expected for the very reasonable cost per night. Everything worked and was in good condition, the bed was comfortable, no complaints
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and accommodating.
- 4/5
Very clean. Good customer service.
- 4/5
The room was very spacious. I was surprised that the floor wasn't carpeted (not that I minded). The bathroom seemed brand new.
- 5/5
We were there for graduation. The staff was So friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Very close to campus. Front desk staff were very pleasant. Very clean room.
- 5/5
Customer service was excellent…
- 4/5
Stayed a night, room is remodeled and clean. But the bed was old and noise when you turned around. Toilet did not flush.
- 5/5
Nice friendly staff. Clean!!
- 5/5
CLEAN hotel close to campus. Super easy checkin, great staff and welcome water/snacks provided ! 😍
- 4/5
It was a nice place to stay. Nothing more.
- 5/5
The room was clean.
- 3/5
Very aberage
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable, I will be staying here again in May
- 5/5
Extremely friendly hotel staff. Seems family run. Exceptionally clean. Seems recently updated. Pet friendly. Love laminate flooring instead of carpeting in rooms, which makes it much cleaner and no stink like carpets can have. Nothing fancy but it's high value. Great strong coffee.
- 5/5
For the great price, very clean, nice staff, coffee/water/bananas in the morning. Only lacking kleenex and shampoo...i brought my own.
- 5/5
Stayed for two nights. It is an older motel. They have remodeled the rooms and got the most bang for the buck. They take two pets for no extra fees! The outside is a bit plain but it is in a safe area just off I 74. Good for money.
- 4/5
Very friendly staff, but a dated location. Our room didn't have a working power outlet to charge phones. Luckily we had a travel battery pack. The floor was loud, but the price point was right and was clean enough.
- 5/5
Nicest Motel 6 I have stayed in.
- 5/5
Very clean and nice and staff was very helpful and nice
- 4/5
no frills hotel, stayed for 1 night, met our needs but would not recommend for a long term stay..noise from room above us was quite loud due to lack of insulation between floors..would I stay here again? yes but only for a night or 2.
- 5/5
Clean and efficient.
- 3/5
Clean room, friendly front desk. Only downside was weak hot water for showers.
- 4/5
Easy location from freeway. Clean room- really dated though. Sink was cracked and the tile in the shower needs replaced .
- 5/5
This is a superb value. It is one of the two best Motel 6's at which we have stayed.
- 3/5
Need cleaning and manage the property properly. There are lots of unruly guests talking in the hallway. You can smell what they are smoking from your room. Hopefully it’s quiet after midnight.
- 4/5
Perfect for what needed. A cheaper rate hotel for me on dads weekend
- 1/5
The nice young man at desk was the high point. The property is crumbling apart. Beds are awful, downright awful. Towels aren’t even good enough to wipe dirt off of a pair of boots. Pillows smell and are smaller than accent pillows on a couch. No way the rating in Expedia is legit. Something is corrupt.
- 5/5
It was nice an quiet an u enjoyed my stay
- 4/5
Clean room, good desk service.
- 1/5
Thermostat was set at 64 degrees and could not be changed. Light in ceiling above sink burned out. Shower almost unusable due to shower head. Towels thin and worn.
- 1/5
Way overpriced for no amenities
- 4/5
The room was clean. The painting in bathroom was not complete. Staff were helpful. Bath towels could be a lot softer.
- 4/5
Not bad but the bath towels were small and could be a bit more absorbent--they were more like foot towels. We asked for extra body towels at the front desk.
- 5/5
Nice and clean
- 5/5
clean room.friendly
- 3/5
My overall rating for the stay would have been higher had a couple of the rooms occupied by college kids not have been so loud as late as 4 am.
- 3/5
Not enough hot water on shower
- 1/5
Terrible place to stay will not be returning
- 5/5
Spent a quiet night in a clean room. All I needed without paying a bunch for extras.
- 3/5
The room itself was clean. But the corridors smelled, carpet was old, probably there are several smoking rooms.
- 1/5
The beds are uncomfortable and if you book online they charge you more when you get there and they don’t really speak much English highly unrecommended
- 5/5
The customer service was awesome
- 1/5
Place was flat out nasty. Carpets are stained. Furniture is damaged or stained. Bed was comfortable but was floating on something that made awful noise every time you sat or laid on it. This is the third Motel Six I’ve been too. Never again
- 5/5
We were pleasantly surprised at how clean and updated our room was. Looks like it is family run with people who care. They were very friendly, offering to open the lobby door when I had two cups of coffee to take out.
- 4/5
Everything was great 👍
- 2/5
Poorly kept rooms. Almost total lack of breakfast choices
- 5/5
This is far above your average Motel 6. We travel with a dog so we stay at them a lot, and this one is cleaner with rooms in better shape than most. We've stayed at this one multiple times and have always been pleased.
