Reviews
The Line Hotel is a centrally located, unique property with spacious rooms and a lively bar area. Guests generally appreciate the hotel's design, cleanliness, and proximity to dining and entertainment options. However, there are consistent complaints about the hotel's amenity fees, noise levels, and inconsistent service quality.
- Central location with easy access to dining and entertainment
- Unique, spacious rooms with comfortable beds
- Unexpected amenity fees and parking charges
- Noise levels from surrounding bars and clubs

Arrived at hotel to find that the A/C was down in the whole hotel on a hot humid day. Toaled matters worse, they did not inform us of that until after we had checked-in.
- 1/5
Property all around was beautiful and clean. The gym was exceptional and something to talk about!!! Sadly, our room was another story and staff interactions were less than pleasant. Our room was 76 degrees while being set to 68 degrees all day. Tried to call, message, ask for a fan or a fix with no answer. There was also a large collection of mold in the bathroom due to water damage. So much potential but far from a 5 star experience.

The bar is fabulous, with really knowledgeable staff.

The historic location and excellent staff. Bar setting very nice

Front desk staff is great, but seems to be every overworked. Impossible to call down to the front desk and speak to someone. Fixtures and other room amenities were tired and need a total refresh, especially for the elevated hotel they market themself as. AC didn't work and "engineering" was no help. No fan to help with the heat. Rooftop bar is only open on Wednesdays. They overcharged us two separate times and still haven't resolved the issues.
- 5/5
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Front desk staff was always helpful when asked. The location is fantastic!!!! -several bus and metro options nearby

Shower stall leaked making the bathroom floor dangerously slippery. Bathroom counter space was non-existent. TV not a smart TV so couldn't use streaming services. Menu misidentified items as gluten which could have made my husband very sick. Hotel never responded to any of our concerns.

Great stay. Enjoyed the style and decor presented. Restaurant and bar was a great experience.
- 5/5
The staff was super friendly and helpful, valet was great & quick with bringing the car around. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Beautiful historic building with lots of room, natural light and views. We stayed in a studio and it was hands down the largest hotel room I have ever stayed in! Two bathrooms, a large bedroom with double closets, a large entry area and a living room/dining room on the opposite side. It was the only hotel room I've ever stayed in where I truly unpacked and had adequate space. I love the historical details in the room, such as the herringbone flooring and old brass fixtures. Would definitely stay at The Line again.

Everything was great great
- 5/5
They always know how to take care of you
- 3/5
The hotel is dated and needs new carpet. It is not near a Metro station and had to Uber everywhere, which ranged from $18 to $30 before tip.
- 2/5
There was a dance club playing very loud music until 2-3 am on Friday and Saturday nights. Literally blaring across the alley from all the rooms on my hall (I was in 409). I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and not had this problem. When I registered a complaint, I was told that they could offer me ear plugs and a drink coupon. They should not be charging $300+ a night for these rooms! It was like trying to sleep on a dance floor.

The bathroom sink space was a little small.

Perfect location! Very unique property that blended the old character of the building with the hotel functionality. The bathroom sink space was a little small.

I’ve stayed at the Line multiple times and it’s been my go to choice for stays in DC but this latest stay was the worst. I was called on the day I was to check in that my reservation for May that I made in January had been cancelled. When I asked why, they said because the hotel was overbooked and my card declined the hotel charge. Why would a hotel be charging random cards without authorization or notification not even an hour after check in? I had to work with Expedia to get this rectified but when I arrived at the hotel (a 5 hr drive later) the front desk staff still believed my reservation was cancelled. I, then, again had to show them that was not the case. The rooms are great because they are large but the quality has gone down, shower doors don’t close- we asked for extra blankets after our toddler got sick around 1030pm- and they weren’t able to give us anything until the morning. When you call room service or the front desk, you have to call multiple times to even get a response. The hotel is pricey but the service was not worth the price at all.

It was quite noisy at in the middle of the night.
- 5/5
The line has become our place to stay in Washington. We love the friendly staff, openness, and Amy ability and of course all the dogs so it's just a wonderful place and I don't think we'd ever seriously consider staying anywhere else.!!!!
- 5/5
Nice hotel, delicious breakfast.
- 5/5
Great location in a fun area. Second time staying here and always enjoy it. Very spacious rooms. Beautiful historic building nicely restored.
- 4/5
The furniture in the rooms is super pleasant and modern which is a nice contrast against the old building. The bar is awesome!
- 5/5
Great stay at a unique and wonderful venue! Very cool history. Interesting rooms, comfy beds, big shower with plenty hot water. Great cafe/restaurant/bar amenities and fabulous location!
- 1/5
We were forced to wait for two hours, tired and confused, while the staff ignored us—they didn’t even offer us a glass of water. Because of their lack of urgency and professionalism, we were late for my daughter's graduation dinner because we were waiting for the front desk to find us a room . At the end we left our suitcase at the hotel and rushed to our event. We didn’t even change clothes as we planned . Because we had no room!! When they finally "found" a room, it was a ground floor dark, loud room next to the kitchen with windows facing the AC machines. The manager never apologized, and the entire front desk team was incredibly rude. It is shocking that a hotel of this reputation hires people with zero customer service skills. They took no responsibility for their own overbooking and ruined what should have been a celebratory evening. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values basic respect and reliability.

I enjoyed my stay at this unique hotel in a historic building. Staff were great, room was clean and roomy, good value for the price. I look forward to returning.

Love the location and vibe
- 3/5
Our card keys got de-activiated during our stay and we needed to go back to the front desk to get them re-activated
- 5/5
Excellent staff
- 4/5
Walkable distance to restaurants and Safeway Groceries.
- 2/5
The hotel is nice but the staff needs some help in the customer service/hospitality area. Sighing, groaning, complaining. Annoyed at guests. Very bizarre for a hotel let alone an expensive one like this.
- 3/5
I arrived 15 minutes early, but was unable to check in, which is very rare in my experience. I was asked to wait while the front desk associate retrieved her manager. When the manager showed up, I watched as another couple checked in after me (still before check in time). Come check in time, the front desk associate completely ignored me. I reproached her after 3pm, and that same front desk associate said she had to get her manager again. After the front desk person left, a different associate (who was not the manager from before), was able to check me in. Mind you, I was in a King studio for $600/night. I should've requested a different room because of the "white noise" from the HVAC units outside. Because the room does not offer free water, I returned to the lobby to retrieve some from the tank next to the front desk. There were no cups. When I asked for one, the front desk associate asked me to wait while she checked in 3+ different guests/parties. I have a medical condition where I can pass out if I don't stay extremely hydrated, so I plopped myself down on the nearest baggage caddy, and waited for my lightheadedness to subside. I did not have the energy to be more assertive. After the guests cleared, I asked again. The associate had cups RIGHT there at her computer. I couldn't believe I was deprioritized when it would've taken seconds. At check out, I handed my key, and gave my last name to the front desk. An hour later, I get a call to confirm I had checked out?

Pretty rooms, interesting facility, restaurants and pub It was a bit dark in the lobby, the bar and restaurant closed at 2 on Sunday.

The Line is an excellent hotel in a wonderful area. Great customer service. Especially liked the happy hour and the cab service. It is a pet friendly hotel with great wifi in the lobby and comfortable seating. Our only complaint here is that dogs should NOT be allowed to sit/lay on the couches! Yuck.
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Very cool vibe and the Adams Morgan location has lots going on
- 4.5/5
The restaurant , bar and coffee corner were all very good- the service and food choices. We were made to feel at home. The desk needed more well trained people. The phone was rarely answered and so a trip to personally ask the question was a bummer- and then there was no one there most of the time.

great facility and location in the heart of AdamsMorgan! Love the spacious and comfy coffee shop, perfect for working or socializing! Staff were helpful and professional!
- 3/5
Some of the staff were helpful, others seemed overworked or generally put out. We had a major issue with no hot water for several hours which went uncompensated even though I explained I had to take a cold shower to get ready for my event. No attempt to get me to a space with a hot shower available. The nighttime door was locked and keys wouldn’t get us in, so another guest had to let a group of us in, no staff in sight. Made me nervous to go out later, so I stayed in. Pretty room, nice art, overall could be a luxury stay if the staff could keep up with the issues guests experienced.

Needed an ice machine and a vending machine to purchase water or soft drinks. Coffee should be free at front desk.

Staff was the worst, rudest people I’ve ever encountered. Dried up contacts on bathroom floor. No housekeeping one day and apparently getting a water replaced in the mini bar, that I have to pay for, is a completely unreasonable request. I was told I could go the 7-11. Wow. Also had some random person knock on our door because the key security in the elevator wasn’t working and came home one night to police tape being taken down because of a murder suspect.

Nice location and good restaurant

Originally a church. Wonderfully incorporated church pews and artifacts in design. Great lobby, really good food Wish breakfast service started earlier

- 5/5
The room was lovely but they are severely understaffed. I had heard they were going through bankruptcy, but no one ever answered the front desk phone and valet parking didnt open until 7:00 a.m. As i said the hotel/rooms were beautiful.
- 4/5
The bed needed a fitted bottom sheet. It came undone each time I slept in it. The shower head needed adjustment - it sprayed the floor when I turned it on
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay at the LINE Hotel—great location, spacious room, and very clean. The only improvement I would suggest is ensuring that the shower water pressure is stronger.
- 5/5
Highly recommend this hotel. Housekeeping did a fantastic job keeping the room spotless and the restaurant and coffee shop staff were a delight. Will definitely be staying here again

Once settled upon arrival, I asked the front desk about the 10% Ward 1 discount - for those who live in the neighborhood. I was told by one clerk that because I booked through Expedia the discount could not be applied but she would check with her manager, even through I explained the extenuating circumstances. I checked again with the same clerk the following day and was given the same response.- would have to check with the manager. At the same time, when asking about replacing a room key, another front desk clerk SCOLDED me for not saying “good morning” to her. Upon checkout I inquired a third time about applying the discount and explained the extenuating circumstances of my booking. A manager finally came out and confirmed a third party booking precluded applying a discount. I serve the United States overseas and my referrals have generated thousands of dollars to this hotel, but no longer. Their lack of flexibility and poor customer service means I will actively dissuade others from booking here. For a nearly four figure two-night stay (yep, all those taxes and fees!), a 10% discount could have been a meaningful sign of support for a neighbor whose life was upended.

Great staff, large room, and interesting decor in a great neighborhood!
- 4/5
The room was clean and unique. Beds and room very comfy. Spacious room. Low water pressure, but the building is older and quirky. Cool architecture with nice touches. Staff was super helpful and nice. I would definitely stay here again.
- 2/5
The room was nice but the lobby and elevators had a very foul smell my woman and I almost fainted from the smell and for some reason they are not telling me they charged me an extra $200
- 5/5
cool, unique spot!
- 3/5
I LOVE this hotel and have been staying here since it opened. BUT, the food is not as good, I stayed 5 nights and only received one day of cleaning service. Coffee shop is great and Diamond is the best coffee making. I will still stay here BUT, clean up your act.
- 3/5
There was only hot water coming out of all the pipes. Even the toilet water was hot. Hard to brush teeth with hot water.
- 3/5
The room is decorated very nicely, and the beds were comfortable. Most of the staff was welcoming. I could only give it three stars because of the noise level in the middle of night. My room was on the sixth floor facing the monument. I constantly at night time heard noises which appear to be trash being thrown in the compactor but I’m not quite sure. It startled me several times in the middle of the night (1am-3am) and I’m not a light sleeper nor am I sensitive to noise as I live in the city. I’m not sure if my room was near a trash shoot. But it wasn’t just normal trash shoot noises.

Nice hotel with big rooms
- 5/5
Friendly staff, great location and in hotel bar. Would definitely go back!
- 5/5
very cool!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel centrally located in a very hip area. Friendly staff. Will definitely return.
- 5/5
Great location, room size and general conveniences. Staff were friendly and helpful and check-in was easy. I would definitely consider staying again when in the DC area.
- 5/5
Room was clean and the staff were very nice and helpful
- 3/5
room was nice but we had a leak in the bathroom. The Hotel staff was very nice and immediately fixed the leak and gave us a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. Unfortunately hotel seemed short staffed during our stay and there was also a strange smell in the lobby bathroom. Also its a "cashless" hotel which was not ideal for our needs.
- 5/5
Room was very nice and comfortable.
- 5/5
Fantastic room, great service, excellent location.
- 5/5
Sandra at the front desk was amazing help, and we dined at the restaurant too with my family we were visiting. The front desk helped with the reservation and we have a very quick, comfortable, and easy stay. Can’t wait to come back.
- 5/5
Wonderful, great up keep
- 5/5
We had a great day at the Line. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable, the room was pristine and fantastic water pressure in the shower! Room service was fast and made sure they delivered exactly what we ordered. Cannot recommend this place more highly

Good food, comfy bed, nice staff….

Nice staff, clean rooms
- 5/5
All was great but I would change out the toiletries. They are harsh, very manly smell. Made me itchy and I’m pretty nonchalant about that sort of thing
- 5/5
Great bar and lounge area. Room lovely. A few pieces of furniture could use replacing. But I love older hotels. Do all good!
- 4/5
good location, great bar
- 5/5
Loved the hotel but was traveling with my elderly parent and my mom was not happy with the management staff responding to her compliant
- 3/5
Bar closed and we cant enjoy the complimentary drink ($28 silver benefit) we had been offered, but are still being charged a "resort" fee. Feels wrong.
- 3/5
Room was just okay. Mediocre stay. Location was fabulous.
- 5/5
Was what you’d expect
- 4/5
Bar was great. Had an issue w erroneous charges and some "less than pleasant" staff. Overall not bad.
- 3/5
Also, my daughter's room (329) was very sparsely decorated, and the TV did not work as the electricity was out for the entire wall in the room.
- 3/5
The room was clean. The bar staff was great. The room was so loud at night from the club that I couldn't sleep till well after 3am. We also had no hot water. When we tried calling the front desk no one would answer. For a supposedly high end hotel it was just average at best. Had I have known about the noise or hot water I would have considered booking elsewhere.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Rooms Manager especially helpful. Restaurant staff excellent service.
- 5/5
Kind staff
- 3/5
I had to call and inquire about when they would bring it up 4 different times. I had to leave and put the do not disturb sign on my door and they still entered into my room.
- 3/5
Hotel is grossly understaffed. Only one employee at anytime covering front desk AND management. Every encounter with front desk was frantic and not exactly courteous. Had to wait 30 mins for check in at 4:30pm, room was not ready. We were the only guests in the lobby at the time, no one else checking in.
- 4/5
The hotel was super cute with lots of interesting decor touches. The room was nice and spacious. The staff were super courteous and helpful. It was great that they had a restaurant and coffee on shop. The only issue was the bed. It has to be the hardest thing I have ever slept on and it aggravated my back pain so badly I woke up in the middle of the night and could not put myself through anymore sleep. If you have any kind of back issues BEWARE!
- 4/5
I enjoyed may stay at the LINE hotel. The location is very vibrant and Adams Morgan is an interesting part of DC with lots going on. Given some reviews regarding noise levels, I was very specific in my room request and called the hotel to ensure I was placed in the quietest room possible. I was on the top floor, on the "quiet side" of the building. I stayed on a Friday night and experience zero noise issues. If going to bed early or a quiet night sleep is important to you, be sure you proactively request this. I picked this hotel mostly for the gym. It's a fantastic gym if you enjoy free weights, deadlift/squat, functional training. They even have a sled with plenty of space to use it properly, rowing machines, ski-ergs, treadmills. I you like weight machines this is not the gym for you. The coffee shop, bar, restaurant, are all great. I booked this through a special VIP rate on Expedia, and I still thought it was a big expensive for what the hotel was. This is priced at an entry-level luxury hotel, but it's really not. The building is old, is a bit-run down, and I would describe it a grungy or funky. It's a cool vibe, but if you're expecting a luxury hotel this really does not hit the mark. That being said, I would probably stay here again for the right price.
- 4/5
Great location with a great bar and restaurant
- 5/5
Clean with spacious rooms. Great bar and restaurant. Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Absolutely perfect!
- 3/5
No light switch at the door. Had to walk in the dark to the switch near the bed.
- 5/5
Unique and gorgeous hotel!
- 1/5
This was the worse experience I’ve been emailing management about refund and no one responded. Will hotels do something about my stay
- 5/5
Love the vibe and staff very clean and unique
- 4/5
Older property, but well maintained and clean. Very walkable area.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff
- 5/5
Great food in the lounge
- 5/5
Loved our stay here. The hotel decor was so unique. Looking forward to going back when I can spend more time!
- 1/5
The Hotel was quite nice. However, was awakened from a deep sleep by loud music from adjacent bar which kept me up until 2 am. Asked to be moved to a seperate room and was refused. Don't stay here if they put you in a room adjacent to the night club!!!!
- 5/5
Great service, clean and quiet rooms!
- 4/5
Welcoming staff. Bathroom shower leaked and water pressure for shower great but from sink super low. Did not like bathroom but the room is well decorated and comfortable.
- 3/5
Very unfriendly front desk staff. They acted like they were annoyed checking you in. When asked questions about restaurants or hair salons they refused to give any referrals. The check in process was very uncomfortable
- 3/5
I found the front desk staff to be pretty unfriendly. The valet staff was awesome though so it made up for it.
- 5/5
A very nice experience.
- 5/5
Nice stay, staff very friendly
- 1/5
AC didn't work in the room, it was dirty when we got in. Staff was not particularly helpful, lost some of our items. Pretty bad all around (beautiful property though).
- 3/5
The overall room was good. The bathroom was not good. The door frame was rotten from water leaking and the door handle to get into the room almost fell off.
- 2/5
My room was along the back of the hotel, away from Columbia Ave. The music from the nightclub next to the hotel was EXTREMELY LOUD and lasted until 3AM on Friday and Saturday nights. It was impossible to sleep; I really can’t recommend staying here on a weekend night due to the sonic assault. This really needs to be addressed, or at least a warning to guests about the noise. It’s a nice hotel, and a very pretty building, but it could benefit from some minor updates/refresh to justify the rates being charged.
- 5/5
One night only business stay and really enjoyed this hotel was the only one within walking distance of the event in Adams Morgan. Far from the touristy area, the building is fascinating, with a lively bar scene (I skipped). Room clean and comfy, the mini-bar not too overpriced, and strong Wifi. Only one complaint: the lighting in the lobby was really dim, I thought they might be hiding something but apparently it was for an art display. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay! Very relaxing!
- 3/5
Gave it a try likely won’t be back. Too many other options.
- 1/5
The property itself is absolutely beautiful. As it always has been. But the stay was miserable, although we had to extend for a few days - as a long time hospitality professional, owner and operator, it was sad to see such a decline in professionalism + service.
- 2/5
Overpriced, hairdryer does not work, dark rooms , lighting terrible, can’t hardly see to put make up on requested mirror they have certain number and were out !
- 5/5
Staff were super nice and provided anything we asked for promptly. Rooms were well sized for the area and the renovated look is great.
- 5/5
The sheets and linens where the cleanest and most fresh of any hotel I have stayed at!
- 5/5
Great place with very nice people
- 2/5
This hotel is old dated property and they will charge you an amenity fee on top of the rent with full disclosure at the time of booking. There may be fraudulent charge for using mini bar when you have not used the mini bar. The mattress was sagging, uncomfortable and carpet in hallway is well past due for replacement. The light fixtures are old and the night stand was really trash.
- 3/5
Comfortable and cute hotel. However not sure why they chnarge for someone to brong ice up to the room.
- 5/5
Very lovely hotel, unique venue and friendly staff.
- 5/5
We loved our stay!
- 3/5
Room wasn’t very nice, the bathroom flooded everytime we took a shower since there was nothing but a shower curtain that was a foot off the floor. Not super clean either.
- 5/5
This hotel was such a sweet surprise. Super neighborhood friendly and dog friendly. We will stay here anytime we come to DC
- 5/5
Great hotel, huge and comfortable rooms
- 5/5
I love the line hotel I go there all the time. It’s always consistent. The staff is always awesome. The valet is always awesome. The rooms are always clean. We stay there all the time and will continue to do so.
- 4/5
The Line has a beautiful aesthetic. The dining area, bar and lounge was comfortable and welcoming. The bartenders had a wealth of knowledge about the local area. They made a few recommendations for restaurants in the area and the ones we tried were amazing.
- 2/5
Friendly staff. That is all.
- 4/5
The facility itself was beautiful. The rroom was fantastic, very clean and comfortable. Just know that it's location in Adams Morgan is great for walking, but VERY LOUD at night. During my specific stay, there was a problem with HVAC on 6th floor where I was staying, and all they said was "we are working on it, IT WAS VERY VERY HOT. No freebies or partial refund etc.... Again great overall....
- 4/5
Breakfast buffet needed
- 2/5
The next day our ac sent working and we were told someone would come to our room, which they never did. During our stay, these issues were not acknowledged or addressed.
- 4/5
Didn’t sleep well on mattress
- 5/5
The hotel is beautiful, the restaurant is delicious. Staff in both the hotel and restaurant were so kind and helpful. Super walkable location. Great value for the area.
- 5/5
Super cute room and amazing service! It was clean, convenient, and comfortable throughout my week long stay. The desk staff are really friendly and always there to resolve an issue or welcome you back. I'll definitely stay here again
- 5/5
wonderful service
- 4/5
Large clean rooms, funky atmosphere, nice staff, would stay here again. A top choice in DC.
- 4/5
Hip hotel with a great restaurant and in site cafe. Wasn’t my personal favorite, but I’d still recommend it especially if you’re into staying in fun neighborhoods and multi-amenity locations. The breakfast delivery marketing was genius
- 2/5
Certain stuff should not be on walls. Just needed a bed not a bad art lesson. Someone there told me how they don’t see how conservatives probably don’t read bibles. Did she mean proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before a fall or 2 Timothy 3:2 for people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, PROUD, arrogant…
- 2/5
Both women at the front desk were incredibly rude, nothing but attitude every interaction. Should not be the first impression when walking into an expensive hotel.
- 4/5
There was a lot of noise in our room this visit. A wedding was below us and a business next door was power washing at 2:00 am
- 3/5
Beautiful building
- 5/5
A wonderful place to stay!
- 5/5
Manager was incredibly kind. Hotel was nice, clean with some solid amenities (especially the hotel gym). Will be back when in DC.

This property is a gem! Very clean well appointed room. Very impressed with the amenities. Hello fully equipped gym! Definitely will stay here on my next stay.

Older hotel. Maid came at 4pm the first day and 3pm the second. Front desk could not figure out how to get my boarding passes to print. Staff was not rude but not overly friendly or helpful.

It was great. Staff was wonderful

Staff friendly efficient

Wonderful interior . Did not like check-in area. It's on the side street and doesn't design wise mesh with the rooms interiors . It's dark and the furniture just looks thrown together. I actually thought I booked the wrong hotel when we pulled in because the front of the hotel is so exceptional . The check in's furniture just looks thrown together. On a positive the lady who checked us in was lovely and the bar staff were great as were the restaurant staff. I highly recommend the old fashion ! The rooms are well designed and we had a great view of the monument.

Staff were very kind and helpful. Parking was not including in price of room and an expensive extra cost to trip. We were only told that parking was available but not at the price of the $55.00/night surcharge.
- 4/5
This is likely a reason I may not stay there again.

Love this hotel! Great vibe. Dog friendly!
- 5/5
Great property in a central location. Courteous staff. Nice amenities make for a relaxing stay.
- 5/5
Love it there stay there all the time when I’m in DC
- 5/5
Hip area. Service can't be beat! Staff went above and beyond helping retrieve an item left in the room after checkout.
- 5/5
I love this hotel. It’s got style without being presumptuous. Moises, at the front desk, is a gem. The only constructive criticism I have is that they should monitor who is hanging out very close to the hotel. Didn’t feel dangerous, but certainly not what the hotel would want.

Wonderful hotel.

I have stayed here many times and always have enjoyed wonderful guest services. But this time--I'm sad to say--staff did not live up to their usual excellence. Hopefully, they get back to their stellar service. Fingers crossed.

The Line is a little worse for the wear, serviceable but no longer the happening place. No full service for breakfast any longer, just a coffee bar with limited menu.
- 3/5
Very average. A bit rundown. Restaurant and bar shut down on arrival with little offer for major inconvenience. Dead roaches on hallway. Basement entrance smelled like mold sewer spill. Very dark common areas and elevator. Felt safe but isolated from front desk or amenities. Can’t reach safe. 6’ tall TV off center and not available from anywhere but left side of bed. Crazy setup.

The valet driver was such a kind person, so helpful, and a very hard worker to say the least.

Great room, excellent vibe in hotel

Great option

The hotel was great for our business trip. Very nice lobby area to have coffee and work in if you need a change from your room. The location is walkable to good restaurants and shops. Also close to the main sights if you have time to venture out.

This hotel is very odd - not like the other Line I stayed in. They have taken the church theme too far and it actually feels a little creepy. The church pews and hymnal boards in the dark hallways just didn’t feel chic in the slightest. The beds were comfortable and the cleaning was fine. The bathroom vanity is made of wood, making me wonder how they can really get it clean?

Good location, room was nice and relaxing

The cons: Crummy customer service. I was charged an additional amenity fee at check out, which is apparently not included in the total room rate. I wasn't informed of this when I checked-in. I was only told that I pre-paid for the room on Expedia, and was all set. And when I called to ask about this amenity fee, which was charged to me by the day - I was told that it's not included in the room rate and that I should not book rooms via a 3rd party (Expedia). But the absolute most insane part of this was that someone at the hotel emailed me from the official hotel email address - and then reached out to me multiple times via WhatsApp - to request that I pay for the amenity fees (which were already charged to my card) by apple gift card (!!!) - and to send a copy of the gift card directly to the hotel (!!!!). I think they tried to call me about 10-15 times before I had to block the number.

A very enjoyable stay in a nice are in DC.

The hotel rooms are spacious and the bed comfortable. The noise from the nightclub on the west side was so loud be switched rooms during the night. The lobby and gym are dark and need some updating. Also check your room rates before travel if you booked a while ago. We basically paid twice the rate being offered this weekend as we booked our rooms a few months ago to attend a wedding. . Despite paying this rate for 3 rooms the hotel wanted to bill another $25 per room to check out an hour late ( and they were not full). So overall a good place for $200 a night but way overpriced for $400 a night

The property was not able to accommodate a linen change to hypoallergenic linens even after multiple conversations, all that was given was fresh pillows and two blankets. The shower in the room also had little to no water pressure and took a long time to heat up.

Excellent hotel!

They keep all of the doors locked at all hours. The staff are not especially interested in serving you. The bar seems never to be open any more. The rooms remain nice and all of this I would have forgiven except that they then added a random $62 "amenity charge" after I checked out (for two nights) that nobody told me about in advance. This place is dying. Let it die

Very cool place with great common space. Need some attention to maintenance. My bathroom light flickered like poltergeist. The wiring is faulty. If you have a courtyard facing room, make sure you get one up on the higher floors. The HVAC systems that are outside the window Grind and sound like an alarm going off all night. Other than that, very cool vibe, good wet, bar, and snacks in the room. Very convenient coffee shop and lunch space every day in the old church space.

Loved this place. Spent 4 days here for business travel. Staff are lovely, in a great neighborhood, the onsite restaurant/bar is awesome and it’s modern and fun. Will definitely stay again!

It has its quirks, but it’s all good once you figure them out.
- 5/5
Great place in the Adams Morgan area!! Close to tons of dining options and easy to get to by bus.
- 5/5
A great hotel, very comfy rooms and beautiful public spaces
- 3/5
The lobby restaurant offerings all closed at 4:00 on Sunday and left us to search out dinner without a reservation- ughhhh
- 5/5
Staff was super accommodating and service oriented. I had a Key issue with my door, not the elevator and after letting me in they( Turq) let me know they'd return with a working Key promptly so I could get on with my evening. Little things like that speak volumes about the staff and their professionalism.
- 4/5
Clean rooms, unique. Some of the furniture is very well lived in and needs to be replaced. The shower water pressure wasn't great. The valet parking members were great.
- 3/5
Location is great EXCEPT Friday&Saturday nights the music from the building next to where my room window faced had extremely loud music until 2am. Room was not available until 3:45.
- 4/5
The only issue was the lack of thermostat control, it was either on "heat or AC", despite maintenance checking it out. Bathroom could have used a place for toiletries for a family (i.e. sink drawers).
- 5/5
It’s a unique building. The area around the hotel is great. A lot of restaurants and bars/clubs.

Beautiful property. Kind staff. Clean and comfortable room.

Great place! Loved the mix of historic and contemporary interiors. The staff was super friendly. The Adams Morgan neighborhood is full of shops restaurants and nighttime activities. Highly recommend!

Was a really great location, for young couples and friends who want to go out.

Room and common areas are worn and need updating. The bed was wonderful and the sheets and pillows amazing. Bar and food also good.

This place is absolutely magical. It reminds me of Park Slope Brooklyn. It’s definitely got style and a great vibe!!! Bed is huge and room is spacious. Loving my stay so far.

There are some uniquely intriguing hotels around in Capitals around the world like e.g. the Palacio de Atocha in Madrid and the LINE DC belongs to this group. Super spacious rooms, great views, located in walking distance to a large variety of foods, friendly staff and reasonably priced room service for good and fresh food.

Very noisy at midnight
- 2/5
OUR ROOM WAS LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE HOTEL AND THAT EVENING THE MUSIC AND NOISE WENT ON TILL 2 AM. UNFORTUNATELY, THE NOISE JUST PENETRATED THE BUILDING WALLS AND WE COULD NOT GET TO SLEEP.
- 3/5
I came here for a trip with friends to celebrate a major life milestone. Great location, beds are comfortable, and the restaurant area is a really nice space. We were initially placed in a room right above a loud exhaust fan. When I asked to move, we were placed in a new room off the interior courtyard with some sort of heating/cooling unit (which still made noise) right in front of the window. The wifi information is inexplicably not written down anywhere, and when I asked at the front desk they dictated it to me verbally. Rooms were mostly tidy but our bathroom had hair in the shower and toothpaste on the sink, and there were dirty dishes outside the room when I first arrived. Room service came by and brought fresh towels but no new hand towels or washcloths. Would probably not stay again - trendy but did not deliver on quality.
