Best Whittier Inn

I was disappointed that talking to the Front Desk person was only through a Window as I had to stand outside it. There was no water hookup to the handheld shower and then I had to take a bath, I couldn't get electrical power to the hairdryer.

Room was empty, no towels, no soap, and found a cockroach in the room. Talk to staff and they said they could not do anything about it. Absolute worst stay.

To start off when I arrived police was there because someone had broken into a room to sleep in, secondly the room was extremely outdated and dirty. The bed sheets had a cigarette burn in the middle. The bed was as stiff as heck felt like I was sleeping on a box spring instead of a mattress. My back is still recovering. The restroom had graffiti tagging. Paint all over the room was falling off. The towels had an extreme chemical smell. But I mean you get what ya pay for. 1/10

The first room had a bedspread with stains and a funky smell the second room was dirty the bedspread was horrible I slept on top of bed didnt even climb under the covers. If i didnt have to wake at 3:30am to go work I would've stayed there!

Worst hotel. Don’t spend money at this dump. Dirty walls, smells like cigarettes, hole in the ceiling and bathroom door. Really run down and needs major upgrades. Owners care more about keeping money in their pockets instead of making the hotel nice for their guest.

Booked a room with one king bed, when I checked in I was told I was getting a room with 2 queens bed and that I was only allowed to touch one bed. It was just me so I didn’t need to use the 2nd bed but it was weird and rude and I assume the reason was they didn’t want to chase to change the bedding on both beds which makes me seriously question their housekeeping standards if they are in the habit of not changing bedding after a guest had stayed in a room.

The site was rundown, homeless people were at the back of the property. I felt unsafe. Safety locks were missing on interior doors. When I first checked in, the room I went to had a like of clothes inside. I got another room, the fire alarm batteries were missing and the alarm beeped periodically.

This was the absolute worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The room was disgusting, there was no shower head just the pipe coming out. There were no pillow cases on the pillow. The bed was very dirty like the prior guest left it dirty and they just made the bed. The bed felt like it had plywood underneath the sheet. The carpet was sticky. There were stains on the bed sham carpet, and the walls. Exterior was very disgusting homeless people hanging out.

It was nice and safe it's also close to the stores and buses. Management is very polite and mind there business. They don't micro-manage and very nice.

I wish I had fone done research before booking this place. The place itself was rundown old and dirty. The room smelled of cigarettes even though we were in a non smoking room. And I honestly did not feel safe, there were many unfavorable people in and around the property. Do yourself a favor and spend some more money for a decent room.

Excellent stay for my birthday

For 1 night my children and i had to endure people that smoked right outside our door the smoke filled our room 😑 thankfully i was accomodated and they moved us to a better room away from the smokers without hesitation very thankful for that 🙏 😊

We had a very nice stay. We love the big room, and bathroom. We always feel safe, it's always quite, and all the staff is very friendly.

The whole property had hazards laying around. I checked in at 3pm and someone was power washing parts of the building with a very loud gas power washer. The room looked alright until I discovered the refrigerator did not work. I told the manager and he changed my room to the one next door. The room was fine for one night but I wouldn't want to keep it any longer. It was a one night stay anyway. The power washer continued until at least 9pm. There was no microwave in either room. There was a I tried to get ice fromsmall microwave built into a small cage mounted on to the wall next to the check-in window in the pool area(empty). The microwave had lots of old food stuck to the glass plate.so I didn't use it. I tried to get ice from the ice machine but it broken also. What a lousy experience.

The staff is awesome, It very quite safe and the room are big and clean. There are a lot of things to do close by shopping, restaurants, and a bar on-site with pool tables and big sports TVs.

I stayed for over a week and it took a day or two to become comfortable, but overall it was a very comfortable stay. Daily room service was great with replenishing towels and cleaning out the shower drainage without asking. Parking was easy. Lots of shops on Whittier Blvd. It is a motel, of course, so expect some noise from neighbours. Would stay again and hope the pool will be open in future.

Well I paid for two nights and the desk worker was trying to tell me to leave and got rude when I said i paid for two nights. He said no only one. After I packed up went outside to get my receipt of paying two nights and looked it up and put me in same room

owners are very freindly and you feel invited. Not like all these other motels around whittier that make you like your not wanted. And at checkout we checked out at 11:30and it was no problem no one standing there waiting on us to get out. I would recommend checking out at 11 but the owners were very nice. Good job for the new owners.Would recommend to everybody.

I had a room reservation with a non refundable deposit and my car broke down. I finally got to the motel at 2am and they were still holding the room for me.,I was thinking they already rented out the room to someone else and I lost the payment bot no i was able to fall asleep in a warm bed after a very long bad day. Give them 5 stars, hip hip hooray

Absolutely worst experience. Check-in is in the back (no lobby) and you talk to someone thru plex-glass with a small slot underneath. Could barely hear a word they say. Bed was like laying on a sheet of plywood. Warm water only all times of the day. Dried mucus on the wall. Filthy walks and doors. Tatooed ex-con types walking about. Suspected prostitutes about. Asked to cancel after night 1 of 3 and they told me I'd have to go thru Expedia...even though they charged my credit card on site. Expedia tells me that the hotel should have refunded me because they charged my credit card. Expedia called the hotel and they said the manager was away. They called multiple times and the hotel stopped answering the phone. Pool was drained with all kinds of filth at the bottom. I turned in my room key and TV remote after one nights stay and spent the next 2 nights at The Vagabond Inn across the street. Much much better place! Do not stay at The Best Whittier Inn no matter what the cost may be.

The bed spread was dirty, the walls and tables we dirty and stained, there was no soap or washcloths. There was one yellow light and one red light in the room. There are people who actually live in some of the rooms. You could see daylight all around the door.

I don't really like the fact that the room is so dirty . There are blood stains on the wall and how do we know that person don't got something and it's never been cleaned up .. also I do like that there are options when it comes to dining

I had my 1 year old walking barefoot and there was broken glass on the floor the mini fridge was broken there was no screen on window and ac would turn off and on over all it was a very unpleasant experience the room looked over all dirty i let front desk know and they gave me a broom and a towel to clean it myself no accommodation with my children what so ever

On my third and last night...in addition to the smelly room they had a work crew remodeling the room next to mine. I slept very poorly, the work crew stopped at 8 am just as I was about to leave. disgusting, the rooms were very dirty, was able to hear everyone talking through the walls only good thing was the tv, the bed sheets were ripped, tagging in the bathroom, toilet seat was stained and had a weird dirt texture absolutely the worst place
