    I stay 1 week on this property. Day 1 I had a leaking toilet. Call front desk and they told me in 1-2 days it will be repair. It never got repaired in my 7 days stay. Day 2 I found a big black Bug in my bed. Call front desk to change rooms. No rooms available. Day 6 had an unknown man knocking at my door at night. I am a female. I called front desk for help or security …not their problem. No one came. Day 6 I pack my bags and went to the home of a female coworker ( I was there for work) to sleep. Day 7 I got in an airplane and left. Horrible experience. Summary: Leaking Toilets, Bugs, and Exterior rooms where unknown men knock in your door. Never Again ! Horrible Customer Service which indicate a Clueless Management Team.

    The room's vents or air freshener is horrible, the smell is over powering & very strong, the bottom bed sheet is flat so it did NOT stay on the mattress, the toilet leaked a bit behind it, the sink was missing the drain plug so anything small can fall down it, the wall by the sink was damaged, we had to ask for additional towels even though we booked it for 3 adults, at night we heard a few doors slamming. We did get a room with a mini fridge so that was helpful, had a microwave as well but didn't need it. I was hoping for a better stay but I guess I got what I paid for.

    Awful. Showed up for checking and I was issued a room that wasnt ready. When returning to the front desk, a new clerk was telling people checking in that they would have to wait as well for a clean room.

    Over the years, I have occasionally stayed at this property and never before found deplorable conditions. I know nothing about ownership/management, but I would wager that there have been changes. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

    The room was kept very clean for the appearance of the exterior. When I mentioned the exterior I dont mean it was bad in anyway. I just would not expect the cleanliness to be as up to par as it was. Not that I disliked anything. I would have preferred a fridge in the room to keep left over food from take out over night.

    bring your clean wipes or lysol spray lol. i had clean my table cause it wasnt even clean. AC dont really blow that cold. Kinda ok stay inn if your solo traveler for a day or two.

    Structurally all the Ibrams are rotting. All the welds look like begginer work. I know because I am a beginner and I would fail with those welds. Actually considering contacting the County Code Enforcent it's that bad.

    If I'm in the area I stay here. Pet friendly LGBT friendly and very close to the airport. It is however a massive property. Has a lot of people that live here, cuz it's cheap.

The room I got had such a bad condition with the tap not flowing and the room filled with smoke. It was so bad that I checked out 30 minutes after checking in because they would not change the room for me. This was at 2 am. The receptionist was so rude and would not listen to any concerns I had. Worst experience I ever had.

    Staff speaks hardly to no english was asking a staff member for additional toiletries for the room halfway through the conversation was told no English. We made the best of the 5 day stay the room was standard and clean, but would not stay at location again if it was more than a night or two.

    You definitely get what you paid for. Got an hour before check in time and was going to get charged $30 extra (waited until 3pm). Staff was not very friendly, room smelled moldy, dirty carpet, stairs are rusty. Ice bucket in the room was dusty, beds extremely uncomfortable ( felt like a waterbed) and small, no queen bed it was a full size bed. This company really needs to spend some money and make improvements in this hotel. Will not be staying here again. Do not recommend

    While I was looking for another hotel to stay at, they told me the lobby was closing and I would have to go outside.     2. Check In? Uneventful except that I was made to wait about 15 minutes to check in because the clerk was preoccupied watching another employee interact with police about something that was going on. The clerk literally sat there and watched the other employee speak with the police and ignored the fact that I was waiting. 3. The bed sheets were clean and, despite the fact that the room resembled a barracks more than a motel, it was convenient for a one night stopover. But - 4. The next morning I left my room to carry half my belongings to my car. It was just before 9:30 AM. Check out time - posted everywhere - is at 11 AM. After putting my things in the car I returned to the room. My key card wouldn't work! I had to walk to the office to get a new key card! When I asked why this happened the clerk tells me that this is how their system is set up. I asked what that means. He explained that the keys automatically cut off because "it's close to check out time." It was 9:30 - check out wasn't for 90 minutes yet! That is absolute nonsense. But, it gets better! 5. When I returned to my room the door was wide open, and the bed was stripped and my stuff was all over the place! I literally had to tell the employee that I wasn't finished with the room, remind her that check out wasn't till 11 to go inside, use the bathroom, brush my teeth, and finish packing.

    I have stayed here twice. Once in the summer of 2025 and again in the winter of 2026. It was a lot nicer in 2025. Upon my return trip the elevator was broken and the place also seemed to be in worse shape. I realized in the winter trip also that there was no thermostat in my room. It stayed in the lower 60s (while being quite cold outside). So it was fine, but I'm not sure I've stayed in a motel room where I didn't have control of the heat before.

    Disgusting. Elevator broken, room smelled like urine and cigarette smoke, human hair all over the bed, bathroom door broken off hinges and would not close. A flop house would be an overstatement. One of the most neglected and disgusting properties I have ever been in in my life. Left rather than stay there. Made it extremely difficult to receive a refund. Multiple hoops to jump through and still has not refunded. They should be ashamed of themselves and they should be ashamed to even call themselves a national chain. I would never even take a chance to stay at another Red roof inn again in my life.

    This place was awful. The heat didn't work in my room. I reserved a king size bed and I think I slept in a double. There was people in the next room that were up most of the night. I could hear them talking at 4am. The worst experience I've ever had and I've been all around the world from Bulgaria to Arizona, Canada to Dominican Republic. This place was the worst no comparison.

    I shared this with the lady who claimed to be the manager and she said she was going to return my charge and then less than an hour later tried to charge my card more money.     Dogs barking all night, puke at the bottom of the stairs, told a staff member about the puke. Three hours later it was still there. Caught a staff member peeing through the crack of my curtain about 9:30 am. Check out is at 11am. Stayed here two weekends in a row, not a good experience both times. I’m a man of cheap hotels but I think I’m done with this one.

    This hotel is so disgusting , toilets doesn’t flush. Had to pay to upgrade my room due to the toilet situation. Finally got another room after waiting an hour. Went out and come back in to flooded room all our stuff was soaked in toilet water, they refuse to do anything the guy at front desks said there’s nothing he can do but for us to sleep and wait until the morning to get maintenance. I would never recommend anyone to book at this hotel.

    The room and overall condition of the hotel is neglected. There are signs of renovations, flooring, paint and furniture but everything is damaged! Also a bit scary with signage in room door advising to double lock and dead bolt door and don’t open door if knocks are heard! Lighting on outside was good. Pillow had rips and stains. Damage to tub. Walls showing chips. Chair was dirty with spots and stains. I’m sorry to say such negative feedback but Ramada hotels are overall being poorly managed in America. It’s disappointing. Staff was polite.

    It got me when a fellow customer complained of having to change a room 4 times due to bed begs and roaches, may habe been flea not bed bugs, but nonetheless it had me itching all night. And it boggled my mind to see the total disregard by staff for the customers very valid concern!

    I usually love the hotel. Been staying at least once a month since April. Staff is excellent, room/bed comfortable, and quiet even withthe airport right there. However last night, wasn't my best experience. Last night after a long day and night, i get there and the room i reserved days in advance wasn't available. He said he was giving me an upgrade was horrible. I went from a King Size bed to a double bad. I am a big girl that is why i get the bigger bed. I also get the handicap accessible because i have a bad knew and the seat in the shower helps.So was disappointed i couldn't shower before laying down. Also,didn't sleep well because of a barking dog. But no complaints about any of other stays. I will continue to stay here because one bad night happens.

    Rude staff. Understaffed. My key card wasn’t activated and it took over 15 minutes for me to get it resolved because there was no one at the front desk. The front counter attendant was very unprofessional and rude. Room had dead bugs and smelled like cigarettes. Opened dresser drawer and the front came off. This was a terrible experience. On top of that, our neighbors were super loud the entire night and barely got any rest at all. 0/10 experience. Don’t book here.

    This place has an excellent location for travel I do between VT and PA. I've stayed at this place many times over the past 10 years and this was, by far, the worst I've ever seen the rooms and atmosphere around the place. I last stayed here in April and during these few months the place has gone downhill with cleanliness, repairs, fixtures, check-in, and overall feeling of security.

    The worst part though was that the bed smelled like dog. It wasn't a carpet, the floors were laminate. The smell wasn't coming the bedding or pillows. So it must have been coming from the mattress. A dog or dogs must have slept on the bed. Too bad, otherwise the stay was okay for what it cost.

    It’s been OVER A WEEK and I STILL have not received my $100 security deposit. I was told that I would have the $ back in my account within a week tops. Now I will have to spend more time and money to physically go back to the hotel and file a complaint! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!! The security deposit they’re holding cost more than the one night I stayed there!!! I was only there for roughly 5 hours and I left the room clean, there’s absolutely NO REASON for this!!!

    It was a quick stop to sleep on the way back home, but the place was filthy, garbage overflowing in all the containers, pizza slices dropped on the floor, some dunkin donuts and coffee leftovers on the stairs and i could go on.

    • The walls and ceilings had stains, cracks, and what looked like water damage and mold. • The furniture was filthy — the chair had huge stains that made me not even want to touch it. • The bathroom was gross, with mold around the tub, broken shelving, and grime everywhere. • The entire room smelled like mildew, and to make it worse, the stench of marijuana from other rooms was overwhelming. I didn’t even spend the night because it was that bad. When I went to the front desk, they refused to give me a refund. That tells you everything you need to know about how little they care about guests. This place should be shut down. Save yourself the nightmare and stay literally anywhere else.

    This is the worst establishment I’ve been to, I would not recommend this to anyone. My flight was delayed from Scottsville, Arizona and I arrived at 3 AM had a prepaid reservation and they told me they couldn’t accept me because they had no availability but it was already prepaid, I had a sleep in my vehicle until 11 AM when the next shift came on to get a room. Later in the day there were human feces in the breezeway right by the stairs that everyone has to use to get to the first level. On top of that, room service is horrible and not a normal hotel staff, it’s an Indian family that owns this place that literally has an entire wing of the hotel and their whole family lives there. they walk around all day long and you have zero privacy. The front desk help is the rudest at any red roof and I’ve ever seen.

    I've stayed at this hotel many times over the years and it was getting pretty run down. New owners have taken over and it seems to have really improved. Fresh paint, better lighting outside and no trash! Bed was comfortable and room was very clean

    It was advertised as a free shuttle to the airport. When called he said sure he would take me then tried to charge $ 20 for a mile and a half to the airport. Room didn’t look like the photos.

    Good place to stay overnight if you’re traveling on the road. It was clean enough for a lower grade hotel. The beds were comfortable, bathroom was small but everything was clean. They say smoke free, but there always is some sort of smell in the room even though it is a smoke free hotel. People do have their doors open and smoke outside, but still.

    The mattress was not comfortable. Also, I was happy that I brought my own sheet. When I first got in the room, I checked the sheets and bed cover and I realized that the bed cover was stained with what I don’t know. I felt like it was not washed. The worst of it all, is the restroom. The toilet was terrible. If you like clean places please stay away from there.

    Front desk staff was great, our flight was delayed and we didn’t arrive until 1am. They still greeted my husband and got us a key card within 15mins. Beds were comfortable and the room was as expected for a quick visit. For the price paid it met exactly what we needed, bathroom could use some improvement but nothing major. Everything was in working order and the location was near the airport perfect for our next day super early flight out.

    Complained to two employees who said I could switch rooms on the next day. Owner was at desk when I went to switch for a different room she stated no one told her of the problem. Then she tried to imply I didn’t let anyone know and she didn’t have any other rooms available. Her attitude was the issue with the room was my problem and was unwilling to try and resolve the issue. The bathroom has mold stains on the wall and ceiling that they have tried to mask with repainting instead of dealing with it properly. Otherwise it’s your average cheap accommodation. I would not recommend…

    It was a convenient location, AND there were EV charging stations! Very close to all kinds of shopping and eating, but it made it a little noisy. It was the cheapest I could find for 1 night, and it served me well.

    Left after one night - did not stay for second night of reservation. Hotel seems as if it may be used as short term housing for people, I checked the entire bed and area several times for bedbugs (none found). I booked it based on reviews that said it was clean and a a nice place to say. I do not agree!

    The room was cold enough and the bed was nice, but the toilet stopped up and they could not get it unstopped. The gentleman who worked on it said he would tell them to give me another room but 35 minutes later we had not been contacted and had to go down and get another room. The liquid soap and shampoo dispensers were empty. The worst thing was this; we found a dead bug in our bed, and there was lint from someone else’s feet/socks on the bed under the sheet which indicated to me that the bed had never been changed since the last occupant.

    Motel was acceptable, but lacked appropriate security. We had a young couple sitting outside our window at 1:30 in the morning drinking and talking in a loud voice and we couldn't get back to sleep for at least 90 minutes.

    The place upon arrival was extremely dirty! Bedding looked used, stains on carpet and bathtub was very dirty. I only stayed here overnight for five hours and still felt very disgusted in the room. This is my first time staying at a Red Roof and maybe that’s just how the franchise is but I was unaware

    My day was pretty good. I’d say everything is was a 10 out of 10. The only thing I had trouble with was the staff at the front one checking in she gave a little bit of attitude, but God bless her, and there were some problems with the shower head, the water wasn’t coming out correctly, but honestly, I Was just grateful that there was water coming out at least and on the bottom of the tub there is spots red spots. I’m guessing they are permanent, but that made me a little bit uneasy, Also, a lot of small face cloths but besides that everything else was cool.

    The property is dated and had such things as rust in the bathtub and no stopper in the bathtub. The water pressure was good and the temperature of the water was very good. The beds were comfortable, but the whole property could use a slight upgrade.

    It was fine! The room was clean, bed was comfortable. The only issue i had was the ice machine was broken and my room had no refrigerator so i to keep buying something cold to drink. Conveniently there was a gas station convenient store a short walk from the hotel so wasnt too bad as well as plenty place places to eat. The housekeeper was very friendly and helpful and so was the front desk staff.

    You get exactly what you pay for… but overall the room was clean but could have been cleaner. I had change rooms 3 times. The first there was blood on the sheets in which staff didn’t even seem concerned I get that it’s motel/INN but come on … the second room the water wasn’t working and the third room was doable …

    I can write about how comfortable and clean the room was (which it certainly was!), but I think more credit should be given to the great staff at the hotel. I had a little hiccup with a hotel reservation the day I arrived in Albany and had to find another place to stay. I didn't get the name of the person who was running the front desk that day, but they were incredibly friendly and helpful with setting up a last minute reservation and getting me settled. It certainly set the tone for my stay, and everyone else I spoke with was just as personable and good spirited. Would definitely stay again!

    The Red Roof Inn at Albany Airport is a lovely, cozy place to stay with family, friends, pets or solo. The staff is very kind and caring, and guests are friendly as well. The price point is reasonable for this era, and the rooms are well appointed with very comfortable beds, charming furnishings and beyond. I really enjoyed my stay there in Colonie, and recommend this hotel for those seeking a peaceful stay in a beautiful area with a lot to offer.
