The pool looked like it hadn't been open for years. There were bricks in the bottom with no water. We arrived about 1:00 and she did let us check in use til 3:00. When leaving the parking lot the road was so busy that you had to wait forever before you could make a right turn. You couldn't turn left from there because of the center median. There was no way to use the chain lock on the door. The curtains could have been wider. The couch was filthy. The bed is hard.

Location of the hotel is nice. Really close to the TYS airport. Staff are decent. Had amenities like toiletries and overall decent value for money suited for short stay. Small roaches in a cabinet. I discovered some before checkout. The room and toilet looked clean other than that. Discovering them kind of upset me but I had a short stay and was looking to save some money so gave it a try.

The room was disgusting and dirty. Sheets had blood spots, pillows were yellow. The mattress pad was so dirty we didn’t sleep in the bed. Even the second room we were given had dirty sheets, mattress pad stained all over. No one available at time of returning the key. I had to leave the key with a note . I wouldn't remember this hotel to my worst enemy. The Manager was professional however, no comments when i showed pictures of the disgusting bed sheets. We were given a new room but it was not much better then the first one. We stayed for 6 hours didn't go to sleep. Just stayed in the room and watched TV until our airline delay was ready to board.

I get to my room and I am instantly not impressed. But I am retired military, so I have had worse accommodations. I was already running late, so I just showered and headed out to my event. Afterwards I get back and decide to kick back before I got ready for bed. That is where the biggest problem arose. The sheets were disgusting, they were stained, smelled, had body hair all over them, and the comforter was ripped and just as dirty. That was when I made the decision to go ahead and check out. I would rather drive 3 1/2 hours home in the middle of the night, than sleep in that bed. Along with everything else, the floors looked like they hadn’t been swept or mopped in quite a while. The ceiling was moldy and falling in one spot from what appeared to be a leak. The furniture looks like it came from an 80’s garage sale. All in all, I would not recommend staying here unless you are completely desperate.

The young man who handles the front desk was rude and condescending. I asked for a closer room due to the fact my husband had surgery and he can barely give a woot. So we dealt with it. The room was gross, blood in the blankets and mattress. Room smelled of mildew and the floors were dirty with strains that we couldn’t take off our shoes. In the bathroom the toilet was already running (that should have been my clue) and the outlets were so outdated I got shock plugging my iPhone charger. Husband needed to rest it was 7pm, so we had no choice to stay the next day we inquire for airport service and the guy mention call an uber it’s not my problem. Mind you it’s 9 mins away the service is offer only if you leave your vehicle but, it’s in the discretion of the front desk person. He then disregarded me and told me oh well your problem. We decided to check out early and he refused to give us a print out bill of us leaving. He said you signed the paper I can charge you whatever I want. My husband was so pissed off he told him give us our receipt (mind you he is struggling to walk due to surgery with his walker). Manager showed up gave us our print out and pretty much told us to leave.

$5 key deposit! Never heard of such a thing and I stay over 100 nights a year in hotels. The lady at the desk asked if I wanted to pay with cash or card and I just handed her $5 bill. No big deal I thought. Well this morning, I go to bring my key back and the lady looks at me and says they don't have any cash. She was rather rude and told me I shouldn't have given cash and I told her then they shouldn't have offered to take my cash last night. Finally I did get my cash back but I had to go to a secondary office. The room was okay. It appeared fairly clean but as I walked around barefoot after getting out of the shower all kinds of stuff was sticking to the bottom of my feet. Bed wasn't very comfortable but it was workable. TV remote did not work well. I had to go up and hit the buttons to turn it on and off. Good luck if you want ice. The motel does not have an ice machine.

No wash cloths on first night, and had to ask for more towels and wash cloths on the second day. For what I paid, it wasn't a disaster though.

Granted the price was good, but when I arrived, the check in lobby was illuminated with so many light it looked like a check cashing lobby. The receptionist was talking to a customer at length and I finally got my turn after about 20 minutes. She was nice enough. I got my key and went to the room where the key didn’t work. I went back to lobby but receptionist was gone. I waited about 10 minutes and eventually got another key for another room “the key does that sometimes” was her response. I went into the room and had difficulty finding a light to turn on- but that’s ok because the 1/2 curtain that never closed completely let enough light in to see my way around. I tried to turn off the ac but couldn’t see the controls so I cohabited the bed with my daughter in order to keep warm. The beds were made with a flat sheet on bottom,- top sheet on top and a blanket right next the the sleeper. I have never slept without a tip sheet protecting me from the blanket that has had questionable laundering. My daughter and I had to take turns trying to charge our phones on the one outlet. The charger was falling out of the socket.. The bathtub was so dirty I had to place a towel in order to feel safe enough to step in shower. The nozzle had a good water stream but the ceiling and walls had obvious water damage. I suggest the owners spend one night in hotel to see what a real customer needs.

This hotel was terrible. When we got to the hotel I was ready to shower, but the bathroom had no wash clothes. I went to the front desk and worker said he would send some to the room. While i was waiting I realized that instead of a king size bed, it was only a full. There was no fitted sheet, just a flat sheet on a nasty looking mattress. After waiting a half hour for a wash cloth, I called Hotels.com. I told them about the situation and she called the hotel, and they said it would be made right but i couldn't get my money back because I had prepaid at a special rate. I waited another half hour, no one showed up to try to make things right. So we packed up our stuff and took the key card back to the front desk and told him we wouldn't be staying because the room was terrible and not what I payed for.

Well my stay at the m star hotel at Alcoa wasn’t the best. Now it was a last resort situation on a spur of the moment trip and I couldn’t find anything in pigeon forge or surrounding area they was all full or crazy over priced. So this was my only option, upon arrival at m star it look ran down and dull, the lady at the check out station was dressed very unprofessional and the check in room itself was dirty so from this moment I knew I was in for a terrible stay. The room itself was clean in a sense and when I say that I mean the bed was made that’s about it. The shower was dirty and the water barely worked. There was a smell of a dead rat that was in the trash can beside our room outside. The beds was so hard it literally felt as if I was sleeping on concrete and well I was they had cinder blocks under the bed holding up one mattress. The pool was stagnated and wasn’t operable. I can keep going and going but I guess you guys get the picture.

Phone wasn’t working to reach front desk so I had to go back up front. Blankets had holes in it, toilet was dirty. It was a unplanned and last minute reservation due to a flight cancellation and had to stay another night in Knoxville however I barely got to sleep, it was so noisy I will never book this place again if I have to stay another night in Knoxville

No soap of any kind in room or bathroom, 1 small, worn bath towel, np face or hand towel. When requested, nothing happened. Went to office for towels & soap. Clerk appeared to call someone, hung up & went to empty roomto get face towel. Not pleasant, appeated to be annoyed by request

Upon arrival, no sheets on bed nor any toilet paper in room. Front desk clerk simply responded, "housekeeping is gone, I'm not housekeeping."

Dirty. Should have realized thus before I went to the room. Nothing in the lobby to entice and return or friendly. Around the side of the wall it wad dirty, crusted dirt. Outside to rooms, it was passing the poverty section of Cairo, Egypt.

This had to be one of the worst actually,is the worst hotel if they want to call it that in the World. The older lady in the office wants to make sure that you know she is watching who comes in and out of the room. Very disrespectful. She rushed a 76 yr old. man out of his room because he wasn't finished packing his things at checkout. Bedbugs literally falling out of the ceiling. When advised the tenant about this she laughed and said that the Home Depot was 2 miles away from there they have bug spray on sale with the fleas ticks being serious. Horrendous is the only word that comes to mind when I hear the name M Star hotel, Alcoa Tennessee.

I stayed a total of 4 nights, since I was in town on business a few weeks, I was hoping to save a little cash, but , you really do get what you pay for. First room didn’t have any visible trash, but it looked like they just emptied the garbage, and changed the towels from the previous tenant and didn’t bother to wipe anything off, scrub the shower out or vacuum. Counters were pretty dirty, and I refused to take a bath until I had purchased my own cleaner and scrubbed the tub myself.I didn’t bother to use the hotels linens, they were quite worn out and needed to be retired years ago and covered with cigarette burns. Had a coffee pot, but no coffee or cups. I ended up switching to a different room on day 2 because there was slow trickle coming from the commode and onto the floor. The front desk folks were all really nice and moved me right away. Second room was slightly cleaner ( and the commode did not leak ) but still no coffee or other amenities besides plenty of towels. Didn’t have a garbage can though and I had to walk back to the front desk and borrow the key to my old room so I could take it to my new room. And the window only had one of the two drapes it was designed to have, which made it hard to assure privacy. No bed bugs or roaches noted, but some fleas in the 1st room. I left because they tried to raise the rate by 30$ due to a local event. Moved to days inn for a measly 5$ more per night and felt like I was in a 4 star hotel, wish I had moved sooner.

Simply should not be a hotel that should be associated with your enterprise. Poor on all levels!
