Grand Inn

First time booking a room at the Gran Inn and last time. The outside of the property dont get me wrong its clean as well as the reception area. But the hallway to get to the rooms especially the hallway entrance on the back of the inn it has a smell. The hallway carpet dirty n stain. The room I stayed, which I have booked a smoking room, was not the best. The headboard on top was dusty you can tell the room service ladies never clean it. One of the bathroom door hinges was off. The bed sheets and blanket had cigar holes and stains. The bed had only two pillows provided, I had to go to reception to ask for two more pillows. I will definitely not stay at Gran Inn again.

Carpets were disgusting, burn holes in both blankets on bed, low quality and old bedding, hair dryer fell off wall when taking a shower, shower ran water out of spigot and shower head with no control of temp. Very sad old hotel that should be torn down.

The lobby has vending machines and the ice machine there is a food4less in walking distance. There is also a pizza place and a subway.

This was the only somewhat affordable option on a Saturday night, so I guess that's a plus. Not clean in general, but also had disturbing stains on the carpet and in the bathroom. I couldn't wait to leave. You're better off sleeping in your car.

Our room was spacious, very clean and organized, staff was nice at reception and at check out, place was quiet, peaceful and safe. TV was just very old.

Location, access, Darn "smoking" rooms are making the whole facility stinky. That central air, Seriously?? Awh boy,-too noisy, too cold. Toilet clogged. I've had no high expectations, but the place was definitely way below of it. That was a one time stay for me that is for sure. Hundred bucks for a night? WTF? Why cleanliness is some kind of luxury nowadays?? Well, I rather sleep in my car or under the bridge in a tent. :)

This place is a dive that needs to be demolished & rebuilt! Its filthy & outdated..The only good thing was it was super quiet

Hallway to room was very dated and we were in a lol smoking room but hallway around the corner was all smoking rooms it stunk and carpet was filthy, room was surprisingly nice smelled like Clorox bet and pillows were comfy tub looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years very filthy but room was decent for the price

I called the day before check in to ask for an early check in and the woman on the phone said yes. I called the day of early in the morning and the same woman said I could not have early check in cause checkout isn’t until 11 and I said well they said yesterday I could and she said no you can’t and hung up. A man called me 15 minutes later and said they couldn’t find my reservation at all and there was no trace of my name at all. I scrambled trying to make calls to the hotel and who i booked it through for about an hour until I finally got a hold of someone that said they had our reservation. We got there and Michael at the front desk was very nice and said he had our reservation the whole time. Our stay was great but it was a very rough start.

Very old, dirty horrible

This place smells absolutely atrocious, it is ridiculously hot, no AC. Checked in and checked out within 2 hours. Would not recommend, never going back.

Staff was friendly and helpful but housekeepers didn’t like to do their job. Complain mes because we swept dirt in a pile before leaving, saying we left a mess.

Staff was so accommodating and quick to respond to our requests.

With thin walls and loud neighbors, along with central air set to too low a temperature, I found it hard to get enough sleep.

There are a couple of big positives. The guy at the front desk was awesome. I bugged him a few times and he helped with a smile each time. He was great. Also, right across the street are good food places. We went to an Hawaiian place and we're still eating the leftovers three days later. But, this is a place of you get what you pay for. Not a bad place to stay.

I cant say anything bad about the stay. I was satisfied with what I got for the price i paid :) The gentleman who worked during the day at check out was soooooo kind. I had asked for a late checkout cause i woke up late, without hesitation he had no problem with me checking out a little passed 11. Also, I had paid my deposit in cash, half expecting a fight at check out for ut back. Nope, not at all. There was no fight what so ever. Easy peasy. I would definitely stay again :)

No no no.’ Never again, no A/C in room and the smell was unpleasant hits you as soon as you walk in! Almost walked back out, if only it wasn’t that late and the lack of availability that day I would have, no doubt.

room was right by the entrance by the stairs and there was so much traffic in and out all throughout the night you couldnt even sleep at all... cigarette burns on the bedspread ..the place is just old i get it but try and keep you place clean!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone... if i could get money back i would glady take it!!

The front counter employees were very nice and hospitable. They placed me on the second floor, right above the office. The parking from my room was extremely inconvenient and far. Not to mentioned a little concerning with people loitering in the parking lot. Interesting group of other guest the place had. The place is very run down with little to no housekeeping. The common area tile and carpet looked liked it had never seen a cleaning day. In the room, also run down and felt a tab uncomfortable to be relaxed with doing my own cleaning. I did see blood on the sheets which tell you they dont swap out the bedding. If you're in desperate need of a place... welcome home. Otherwise, spend a few extra dollars on something else nicer.

Cozy, quiet, clean and safe!

Classic 60s era roadside motel with vintage charm. Nice, big rooms. Comfy beds. Walls / floors a little thin, but I really liked this place and would stay there again.

Good location and value. You can tell it’s family run and their is care for the property.

It's like an outside jail

Check in was great, parking was easy. The room was old but it’s what you’re paying for. Got woken up at 4am by s*x noises until someone else yelled at them to be quiet.

Beautiful place to stay

Had a wedding nearby so I picked this hotel to stay at for the night. Gentleman at the front desk was polite, easy check in. Only issue is the room was warm and stuffy with no way to adjust the air condition

Needs more cleaning in the hallway area, it is very dirty and some rooms have a bad smell

What I didn't like: carpet in the hallways incredibly dirty and worn, no elevators, limited plug inside for devices, scratchy sheets, tiny towels, fridge door wouldn't stay closed, no in unit air conditioning, very thin walls - you can hear everything, cameras and rules posted everywhere like no smoking , no bare feet, etc., closets not cleaned -very dusty on top shelf and got my clothes dirty, lack of items in their vending machines, room was very dated and had stains on the doors/walls etc.

The bed is comfortable and bathroom is clean. The room is quite small so it is ok for 1 or 2 people. It was quite noisy at night when someone used the bathroom and flushing. The room was controlled by central heat so it started to feel cold early in the morning (2-3am).

Really bad service

Hotel clerk continues to try to charge my card even after proof of first payment going thru… after giving me keys to the room and charging card he then tried to charge it again saying it didn’t show in his system yet I showed him proof of transaction on my statement but he still contested and ran card 6 times and still does even since I checced out

The room itself was horrible. The only lights were on either side of the bed, and I had to use a flashlight to unpack. I also had to use a flashlight to work my computer. There was no thermostat or other room air adjustment. The air conditioning was on full, probably to compensate for outside heat, and I had to sleep in a sweatshirt. It was too cold to take a shower. The bathroom had a pedestal sink with sloping sides. Nothing could be stored on it. There was only a very small 5 inch by 12 inch shelf which was inadequate to hold personal hygiene items. I stayed two nights only because I had prepaid and they refused to refund the advance for the second night. This place is truly horrible.

The room was a nice unfortunately it needs work. The walls were dirty and chipping. The ceiling in the bathroom was chipping paint. No AC but will charge $60 additional dollars for what? And the walls are super thin could hear everything. The floors have dips so be aware.

I had never stayed at a hotel that did not have an A/C unit in the room. It was sooo hot and I had to open the room and bathroom window and deal with all the noise from the street. I will never stay there again.

Overall a decent stay…property is definitely a bit dated and could use a refresh but as mainly a place just to sleep it was fine…staff was super friendly…homeless person sleeping in the laundry was a little off putting but that was really the only negative…

The hotel was decent nothing special. The bathroom was upgraded. I couldn’t find a thermostat to set the temperature of the room. I was cold so I wore 2 layers of clothing to bed. Walls seem very thin. Heard the neighbors talking and a child whining and crying till midnight. Although there was a walk-in closet I felt that was wasted space. No microwave. Carpets could do with some cleaning. It was a decent overnight stay but will probably not come back

Needs updating. No control of room temp. Chilly in the morning both days. Mentioned to desk first morn. No diff next morning. Otherwise acceptable. Served my purpose of being close to my destination. Get what you pay for. Reasonable price.

Check in was fine. The first room I was given was supposed to be non-smoking but smell like smoke. I got a second room that did not smell like smoke. There is no heater in the room. I had to call the front desk to ask if there was one and the man at the front desk just kept saying I’ll try and find your blanket I’ll try and find you a blanket and then showed up 15 minutes later what they space heater. It was about 50° outside and almost the same in the room. The room is basically clean but furnished with very old thrift stop type furniture. Overall it was clean and very old inside. Surprisingly the bed was very comfortable. The next room may have had permanent residence as they were a lot of kids in there very loud and playing around until late at night.

Everything was going just fine, the room is clean and i was very happy with it.. until the room next to us go so loud, talking loud and crying and arguing.. it made my stay very uncomfortable and couldnt even sleep.. i bamg on the wall a couple of time so they can keep it quiet.. overall we ended up sleeping for like 3 hours.. thats the only thing that ruined our stay..

The staff is EXCELLENT here. Customer care is the main reason why I have extended my staff mulitabe times. My room was nicely updated, beautiful UPGRADED bathroom. Price was reasonable. The only drawback I can say is the TV channels are limited.

Stayed here before and it was very very loud lots of undesirable people and this time I did not have that experience at all it was very quiet people were nice and the staff was very very attentive.

Hotel clerk flat out told me I had no reservation and that my app was lying to me. He was so rude I called customer service right in front of him of which they called him directly. Bottom line Hotels.com confirmed my credit card payment on my end but never charged it through and did not advise me that I would be paying at the Hotel. As result he called me a liar again and demanded that I leave the property. He even summoned the police to make sure I didn't cause any problems. I will probably never use this service again, as the humiliation is uncalled for.

Bugs all over had to leave. Slept in my car

Room was dusty. Floor was so dirty I was afraid to take my socks off. Entire floor smelled like pot.

Bathroom was decent. Pool was clean and nice. The water was cold. The cleaning lady was friendly. The staff was mostly friendly. Fridge was actually cold after a day. The parking lot was well paved and felt saved to park in.

I wish there was more than just the one roll of toilet paper provided in the bathroom. I did appreciate the mini fridge & the room itself looked decent. The hangers weren’t very good, they easily fell apart. I wish there were more plugs in the room too.

Customer service was good. However, the hotel was not clean. We found an old sock by one of the beds. We were placed in non smoking area but it still smelled like cigarettes and we had kids with us. The beds were so uncomfortable we couldn’t sleep. The worst hotel we ever stayed in.

You get what you pay for. The hotel is outdated and definitely needs to be remodeled but it was comfortable for me and my fiancé. It was a 5 min drive to downtown Fullerton and a 10 minute drive to Disneyland. The only thing I would say is that their showers need to be drained or something. The water would not go down, it was kind of gross. BUT all in all, the service was great! They were very accommodating.

Very laid back nice staff deposit was 40$ so that was better then having to use my card and put a hold on for 300 or 200. Sometimes they rip u off and keep your deposit. Overall great stay

We used this room for a good rest before traveling north, and it suited the purpose. It was comfortable, and moderately priced. The only drawback was no included breakfast.
