I expected a lot more from a JW Marriott.

Hotel was beautiful but the parking was so expensive. They only have valet parking and it’s $70 we were at Disneyland all day. If we go again it wouldn’t make sense

I doubt I’ll book again. We have been to Anaheim many times and stayed at a variety of hotels. I wanted to stay at a “luxury” hotel this time around. Roughly 10 days before we went, i received a cancellation of a dinner reservation at the roof top bar I made in advance. I called and was informed the hotel had suddenly been sold. I was concerned this would affect the stay and called but was assured it would not. It did. Check in was polite but lacked even the most basic of information- elevator location, pool, wifi etc. Dining and room service options extremely limited. The “butterfly garden” was ok- however there was a convention the latter part of our stay abd the

Hotel staff were friendly and polite. They made a very welcoming experience for our young daughter who was celebrating her 6th birthday trip to Disney. Starbucks inside made for a wonderful morning coffee and breakfast was superb! Fresh, tasty and again staff were really helpful and pleasant throughout our stay. It took a while to decide on a hotel for our Disney trip and we are really glad we picked this hotel. The bus stop is just at the top of the street for straight transfer to the park. It’s easily walkable to the park from the hotel but we found using the bus and going through security this way saved time getting in to the park. Would highly recommend if you are on the fence with what to book for your Disney stay.

The staff at this hotel are all so friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay spectacular. A huge thank you to Sean for helping to make our stay so special and all the attentive valet and bell staff. I will definitely stsy at the JW Marriott again and recommend it to others.

Everything was good. The hotel seemed to be short stuffed at evening- considering its peak spring break season for a five star hotel. Should have done better. Our room lock ran out of battery during our stay and it took us 45 mins to get back in-numerous try. And I see it happened to our guests too.

Pros: - Nicely renovated room that wasn't big, but fine given we were mostly in Disneyland. - Our second room was very clean. - Good view out to the parks in the distance. - The hotel common areas are spacious, attractive, and stylish. - Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. - Good-sized well-appointed pool area. Cons: - Avoid the premium rooms on the 9th floor, or at least room 937. We had the executive lounge directly above us, and the scraping of chairs was awful. We moved rooms to a lower floor the next morning. No recognition of what we experienced was given until I specifically requested some sort of compensation. - There was only one staff member in the reception at peak check-in time, which meant for a slow process. At some other times there were two or three staff. - When I asked about the rooftop bar (Parkestry) at check-in, we were advised that it was closed. Long story short, we would have stayed at the Westin instead had we known. - At peaks times, it was impossible to get a guest services or room service person on the phone. - The pool is shaded in the afternoon. That may be fine in mid-summer, but made for a much less fun experience in April. - Mixed experience with staff. - The buffet breakfast was fairly good, but for the price, it should be more on par with international hotels. - Need more hooks/towel rails.

Everyone from house keeping to the valet service were very helpful and friendly.

Joy the manager greeted us and our 21 month old—ran and quickly brought a rose and was just out of this world. He spent 30 minutes explaining all the amenities We were just blown away. My wife said this was the best hotel we have ever stayed! And I agree.

The hotel food and beverage credit was helpful. The only negative is parking at the hotel is the most expensive in the area. We returned our car after one night, so we didn't have to pay for the full week. But they are upfront about it and suggested parking at the garden walk for half the price of we wanted. Lots of places to eat nearby as well! Walk for he parks is easy and around 12 min right to the front of security. Also you are able to take the toy story shuttle for free and walk about 6 min to the hotel from there. Very convenient. Overall we will return for sure our next visit. We love this hotel.

Overall the hotel was nice and we enjoyed our stay. We were there for 3 nights and came for Disneyland. Our room was a park view, at night you can see the fireworks which was great, but other than that our view was the parking lot of the Firehall. Great location to walk to Disneyland, it takes around 10 min to get to the front gates of Disney if you go out the back of the hotel beside the reception and through the mall. Hotel room was clean, our room was big enough for our family of 4 without feeling cramped. The hotel adds on a resort fee of around $40/day that includes a $20/day credit that you can’t carry over to the next day. We used it in the mornings before we headed out at the grab and go on the main floor that had a Starbucks. The only option for on site parking is valet, it’s $68 per day plus I saw there was another $10 parking tax per day. The valet said there was off site parking at the mall (which is right beside the hotel) for $35 or $40/day but no in and out allowed.

Beautiful lobby and room. Housekeeping was spectacular. Bar and rooftop restaurant were great overall. (Music is quite loud on the rooftop, difficult to talk for the volume.) We were pretty disappointed with the pool though. Due to the design of the property, the main tower of the hotel blocked sun nearly altogether by midafternoon (2:30-ish at the time of year I visited). Prior to that, there were very few loungers in the sun, and unfortunately, other guests had marked 10 (I counted) of the loungers as their own. (Personal towels, etc.) Frustratingly, they weren't physical present for about another hour. No one from the bar or restaurant approached me for an order. Worst of all is that there is no hot tub on the property, anywhere. Unfortunately, for as much as we liked everything else and obviously much of this can't be helped by the current staff, this part of our experience would keep us from coming back. Wish I could say otherwise. I had really high hopes when I initially booked.

This is a great hotel, clean, great restaurant near by, great coffee shop on the first floor, enjoyed the roof top sitting area for wine tasting, also great for viewing the fireworks.

Room almost never got cleaned . They always prioritize the room that need to receive new guest, I think not enough cleaning staff. Out of a week stay we maybe got our room done 3 times because they always used to come later afternoon when we were back for a nap with the kids, even though I requested with front desk for the room to be done prior to 12-1pm. Room service food is not great. It did not feel like JW except for the price I payed for the room + plus resort fee of 140$ which included things that were not beneficial to us. Also poor shampoo and conditioner quality. They never paid attention to refill the bottles on the odd time they did the room. Very dissapointed with this stay.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are extremely clean and well maintained. Cleaning staff have great attention to detail. Great location, close proximity to Disneyland and restaurants. Shower not working on arrival, fixed same day we reported to staff. Only thing my wife and I were not overly happy with was the bar/room service menu. Not many options and prices are decently high for what you get. On top of resort fees the prices seem to be a bit too much. Will stay here again!

Every day we had to try to explain that we had paid already for 4. They spoke to booking. Com but nothing was resolved from either side - breakfast itself was excellent! Having to pay $65 for hotel parking seemed very expensive

I am not one to leave reviews but this was a very disappointing stay. Checked in for "pool" view. Hotel quite full apparently so got room they typically don't use- tiny window dark room felt like dungeon. They did change room after 2 days but that should be discounted room or not used at all. It was terrible. Check out. Bill was wrong. double charged for valet parking on 3 of 4 nights ( 2x $69 plus tax per night). There is no option to not use valet. Delays at check out to sort this out. Told they will update bill and refund . Arrive home and review new bill one night of double parking has been removed and other 2 nights of double charge now combined into one charge on bill. Hotel location was good. Lobby was nice. Pool doesn’t get sun at all in the day. I would definitely choose another hotel. There are many choices in that area.

I travel with my daughter.Overall it was very cleaned and the valet guys super friendly. The only thing that was confused was the wifi. When I booked it said the wifi was free and when I try connecting it said I had to pay a fee daily. It was super annoying because I was try to changed my flight and I had to go outside to do it.

This was our third stay while visiting Disney and we’ll definitely be back! We love the property and how walkable it is. The staff are always so kind and helpful, we love it here!

The room was great. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff was very friendly. Valet is very expensive. They said it was $70 a night, but itis actually $80 with taxes. When I asked about a self-park option, the valet guy said there is a lot, but they charge by the hour. I found out that the lot charges $30 a day. I would have parked there if the valet had been honest. The bathroom tub is a MAJOR hazard. The level of the tub is 6-8 inches higher than the floor. Not realizing this, I slipped and fell while getting out of the bath and sustained a pretty serious injury. The breakfast at Tocca Ferro was very subpar and overpriced. The food was not good. The service was also not good on both days we dined there. I was overcharged by the restaurant and the valet on my final bill, so now I have to call and sort it out with accounting. Needless to say, I will not be staying here again.

Room was perfect. Beautiful hotel. And the hotel staff were great. Location was also superb. Lots of very good restaurants in the complex. and a 6 minute walk to the Toy Story bus which takes you into Disneyland.

I would especially like to thank Cynthia on the front desk who went above and beyond all expectations to make sure our stay was as amazing as possible. Rooms were lush and clean. The location is great, especially the access to the garden walk. Pool was heated, but missing a hot tub to relax in after a big day at the park. I would 100% stay here every time. Thanks again Cynthia and team.

Everything was excellent (beds were amazing) except for the restaurant - very very slow service. 2hrs for dinner and 15-20min waits to be seated for breakfast. I would book again but would not include breakfast or use the restaurant again.

There was a conference on at the hotel at the same time as our stay. We felt that the hotel prioritised the confererence over our stay. A lot of the areas such as the roof top bar and gardens were booked up. We wasn't informed about this by management. I wouldn't recommend this as a family hotel.

Beautiful, modern hotel with clean rooms and friendly staff. The atmosphere is relaxing and it’s a great place to unwind after a day at Disneyland. It’s a short walk to the park, but overall a very comfortable stay.

Bed was very comfy. I don’t always sleep well in hotels but both nights I slept great. I ubered to the hotel because it’s ridiculous that they charge $69 daily for MANDATORY valet. I do not regret staying here. Property is quiet. Lots of nice dining options and a Starbucks in the attached Garden Walk outdoor mall.

My only complaint is the water pressure in the shower was very low/weak.

I absolutely love this hotel. Their beauty rest mattress is so comfortable. I got two really good nights of sleep here. Everything was super clean and to the highest standards. And the bar is amazing. Great food there. I still miss the lobster roll.

Quiet and relaxing…fun rooftop for fireworks

The gym, while spacious, felt underutilized. Adding a cable station or a Smith Machine would elevate it into a truly top-tier fitness center. The pool, unfortunately, is positioned so that it falls into the shade shortly after noon, which really limits its appeal for guests who want to enjoy the sun. I was also surprised to find that there was no jacuzzi, which would have been a welcome amenity. My main concern, however, was with the service. When my wife checked in ahead of me, she experienced repeated flirtatious comments from a staff member, to the point that she felt uncomfortable moving around the hotel alone. This was deeply upsetting and unacceptable, and it left me extremely offended. In addition, service at the wine tasting event on the rooftop was not ready at the advertised 5 PM start time, leaving guests waiting about 15 minutes before it began. Finally, when we asked a simple question at the front desk, one staff member responded in a condescending way that did not reflect the level of professionalism I expect at a hotel of this caliber. While the hotel is beautiful and has qualities worth appreciating, the lack of professionalism and inappropriate behavior from staff overshadowed the positives. I stay at many hotels in the area, but will not return here.

JW Marriott in Anaheim is beautiful property. Our hotel room was clean and my family loved the location. We felt safe and were able to walk to Disney World, retail shops and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay, the staff was very professional and helpful. I would recommend it to everyone.

The property was the best maintained hotel I have ever stayed in. It was also close to Disneyland. I felt very safe at the hotel as they were aware of any persons coming and going. The rooms were clean, large and had great views.above all all the staff were truly amazing, warm, caring and hard working. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a true get away with a sense of distinction and elements of modern design.

When i left the room in the morning around 9am got back around 5pm my room wasn't cleaned up i had to call the front desk to get it cleaned, also in the morning i called the room service, house keeping and the front desk no one pick up for two hours i was trying to make a cup coffee but i needed a coffee cup

We had a great stay at this property. Lovely modern and clean. The only issue we had was a really loud wedding party on our last night which made it pretty hard for the kids to sleep.

Love the property. Kyra & Bella provided excellent customer service. Upon arrival I wasn’t aware of a $137 destination fee I had to pay. Parking was $65 a night. The Westin had no destination fee and there parking is $35 a night. Both owned by Marriott.

Valet parking is quite expensive. When I arrived I was informed of a different cost to park the valet, so when checking out, I was very surprised at the final cost. Staff were very nice and understanding and got a manager to speak with me regarding the matter. The manager was able to help out with a bit of a discount which really helped, despite the cost still being quite high. Didn't really partake in the food options as we spent most of the time at the theme parks. The lobby cafe was great to grab on the go bites and drinks.

We visited the hotel with our kids for a Disney trip and really enjoyed it. The staff was great- friendly, helpful and very attentive. The rooms were clean and nice and we enjoyed the overall ambience of the hotel. It’s a fairly easy walk to Disney through the mall and across the street (we clocked .9 miles from door of our room to the Disney front gate). It’s also easy to uber from Downtown Disney or the front of Disneyland if you’re tired (about $10). We were able to see the fireworks from our room also. We used our daily resort credit at the café downstairs for Starbucks drinks and breakfast food which was convenient. The only cons are that only valet parking is available and it’s very expensive ( $~70/night), and they also charge $60 per night to guarantee connecting rooms, which we needed with kids, which we’ve never paid for at other hotels. But once we were there, it was a great experience.

Good overall stay. I stayed at Westin back in October. I'm not sure how the Westin is a 4 star hotel and JW is a 5 star. Only thing I can think of is the location.

What a great place to stay for you Anaheim visit. All you expect from a J.W. and a convenient 10 minute walk to Disney OR an $8 Uber. Great park views from room 942, and adjacent to restauranta galore.

Great stay for our visit for Disney. Perfect walking and dining options close by. The staff was also awesome.

To the hotel’s credit, management did follow up: Duncan reached out and offered us Executive Lounge access for the fireworks and complimentary breakfast (which we appreciated and used for two days). The director, Cindy, also invited us back to the rooftop bar, but we declined based on our initial experience. Valet service was excellent (although being $70 a day is ludicrous), and the front staff—including Seth and Joy—were kind and welcoming at first. That said, the hotel just doesn’t deliver a true 5-star experience, especially at nearly $400/night when you include daily parking and resort fees, There are other hotels nearby with similar amenities at a better value. One and done for us.

We’ve stayed here at least half a dozen times and it continues to offer a great combination of comfort, amenities and quiet. It is across the road from Toy Story parking lot busses, but also only a short walk to Disney parks. There are several good food options close by if you don’t want to eat in the park. The only negative is that the prices for food at the coffee shop on the first floor have gone up a lot over the years. If you are a light breakfast person, it is a better deal to grab a coffee only and then buy a breakfast sandwich or parfait in the park. For larger portions, the in-house restaurant is very good.

Stayed here for my son’s birthday and we booked a cabana by the pool. The staff was very welcoming all-around. Our room was clean and as pictured. We had a theme park view on the 9th floor. I’m not sure what was above us on the 10th floor, but we could frequently hear chairs being pushed around which was a little bothersome. Specifically, a server by the pool and in the hotel restaurant, Heidy was super helpful and kind. Would stay here again.

Our experience at the JW Marriott was like our Disneyland experience...lots of up and downs. The ups: welcome cocktail while we waited over 30min. in line to check in, nice warm clean pool and outdoor bar area, beautiful bathroom with lots of room to move about, great workout room, semi view of the amusement parks and fireworks, responsive maintenance man and helpful valet attendant. THE CONS: Check in area is actually on the second floor with no personnel on the main floor enterance to talk too, the lady that check us in seemed un easy or quick to assign us our room and send us on our way with little welcome or instructions, even though she spent at least 15-20 min.with prior guests, our room was nice but had a sewer smell so we asked to move on day 2 which they did and gave us a $50 credit for inconvenience 🤔 lastly when we check out i talked to the same lady that checked us in and requested an itemized receipt to be sent to my email. She completely faked like she was looking up my email so i asked what she had in the system, in which she mumbled some random combo

The hotel was very nice but what troubles me is that the 2 beds provided in the room were Full beds and not Queen sized. I actually measured the width of the mattress and it was 52 inches. We were not comfortable as s couple sleeping together. Is the property lying to it's customers and trying to save money!!!!

This was my second time staying at this property and it was excellent. Such friendly staff. Very clean space. A nice and safe walk to and from Disneyland .The rooftop bar is so fun! A wonderful spot all around.

Such a great place to stay. The breakfast buffet was great and a lovely way to start the day. The proximity to Disneyland is walking distance which makes it great and convenient. There are also shuttles available if one prefers to take the shuttle to Disneyland. My family and I would definitely stay again.

They gave me a room with a toilet that did not flush. When I called the front desk at 12 am no one answered. I had to call Marriott 1800 to get assistance!

Do not let the photos fool you. The carpeting is old and outdated. We felt like we traveled back to the 1980s. Everyone in our group got bad allergies as soon as we return to the hotel. The check in staff never greeted us. He acted like we weren't there. The bellhops guys saw my wife pushing the cart with 3 large suitcases and never offered to help. The water pressure in the shower is so bad and weak. The housekeeper didn't bother to take out one of the trash bins. We even tipped them $10 daily. This is the worst 4.5 star hotel we had stayed at. The carpet is old and smelly and the staff doesn't care about you at all. Horrible horrible horrible hotel. DO NOT stay here if you want cleanliness and friendly, helpful staff.

Close walking to Disneyland Park Excellent

Incredible, attentive staff. Thank you Bri, Max, Hutchinson, Reuben, and many more whose names I can't remember. Great location next to GardenWalk and across the street from Toy Story 20 shuttle to Disney. Many food options and rental cars next door. Breakfast was good. Parkestry was a great place to see Disney fireworks. Outdoor gardens were nice. Pool was nice (fyi there is only direct sun in the morning).

This was our third stay at this property. We always have a wonderful time. Staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is located adjacent to many shops and popular restaurants. It is also located a short walk from the Disney theme parks. The pool area is inviting and clean. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable. I would and have recommended this hotel.

I was so disappointed I don’t have words to qualify it. It was a pure waste of money for my family and me. We took a suite and the service was below anything imaginable.

I went to Disneyland with my family and stayed here. It was awesome. It's like 15 min walk or 5 min uber ride to the amusement park and all the restaurants. if you want to stay in a luxury hotel that's not too expensive. This is the place

My stay at this hotel was delightful. I spent the day at Disney to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. While we were at the park, the staff set a birthday surprise for a birthday celebration. She absolutely loved it. I highly recommend this hotel for special occasions.

Great location and shopping and facilities

Good location

It was a pleasant experience overall and an issue that appeared with valley parking was professionally resolved by Victor, hotel manager.

JW Marriott is supposedly the flagship brand for Bonvoy/Marriott group. This hotel is average at best. Carpet in room frayed, vanity mirror in bathroom about to fall off of the wall, shades for wall of glass windows in poor repair & difficult to hoist (I chose that word carefully, I had to wrap the chain around my hand and pull for all I was worth - I’m a 6’1” 190 lb guy in reasonable shape). Every other JW I’ve stayed at has 24 hour in-room dining, not here - ends at 11:30pm.

The hotel and our room were very clean. The beds were comfortable for both us and our kids. The staff were helpful in delivering our bags and loading our bags from room to car. Will definitely stay again.

Plain, amazing spot!

Very nice hotel on par with other Marriotts. We were there for Disney and the staff was very friendly and helpful with tips. Free park shuttle across the street is very convenient. Not crazy about the $30/day resort fee that forces you to spend at their restaurant/bar and the expensive parking. Beds are a little stiff. Overall a nice stay.

The city walk was right next to the place. It was very lively. Great stay!

This is a great hotel, so many choices of restaurants, Disney, Downtown Disney all in walking distance. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.
