We got in late. 12:30 am. Got checked in and were supposed to have a sea view room. Had a parking lot view. Went to desk and guy was great. Changed room for us but were charged an extra 111 bucks a day. I was fine with that but got bill and thought it would only be for 2 nights since we got there early am on Friday. Still a wonderful place to stay. Food and grocery store within walking distance. Oh and Starbucks too. Pool and beach chairs and staff were wonderful. Will be back. Maybe credit us $111 bucks for the sea view room. If not I will still be back. Thanks for everything.

Good location and on the beach Staff was not attentive, we ask for a microwave and never got it, and we had to throw away all of our food. When we left the front desk attendant said that the manager would contact us and no one ever contacted us about our issue. Did not like the customer service, nor the dishonesty.

Beautiful place, clean, quiet, and excellent view and access to the beach.

The staff were friendly. The location was good and is near to malls. The rooms were dated. The room was small and the cabinet has a moldy smell.

Arrival was confusing. There was no clear self-parking or staff outside (valet/bellhop). The lobby was empty, but a staff member came out from a back room to the cute, dark-wood paneled counter. They told us we could park anywhere—no valet mentioned. Check-in was standard, but we weren't given any orientation. Aside from the Wi-Fi password, it would’ve been nice to know restaurant hours or gym locations as first-time guests. The room was quiet, comfortable, and featured a huge walk-in closet, great AC, and plenty of hot water. However, I’m very particular about cleanliness. The baseboards between the nightstand and bed were extremely dusty, and the shower grout needed a good scrubbing. The medicine cabinet mirror was also corroding around the edges. The location is amazing. Having coffee overlooking the Atlantic was incredibly relaxing. The beach experience was great, with chairs set up and ready for us. The hotel kindly gave us a late checkout, too. While ocean air makes maintenance tough, some areas showed blatant disrepair, especially the poolside cabana roofs. It has great bones and a nostalgic aesthetic, but needs some deep cleaning and maintenance. Still, for the price and location, I'm satisfied.

What a great historic hotel in the heart of one of the better, peaceful beaches in Miami. The hotel is such a gem and has so many lovely vintage charms. This was my second visit and I look forward to more in the future and recommending it to anyone visiting this part of Miami Beach! Great comfortable rooms, stellar pool (up to 9 feet!), right on the beach side with fantastic beach path for walks and biking, set back from the main road with plenty of parking and an easy drop off area, super quiet, and very friendly and helpful staff. Also a great price given the area right across from the poshy Bal Harbour Shops. I very highly recommend this hotel!

Staff so nice. We will be back 100%.
- 5/5
I was amazed how many people are repeating customers, and now I know why. Definitely will be back!

We loved everything! Will stay here again soon!

When in Bal Harbour, this is one of the best hotel to stay, not only because of its location but because of its staff. Everybody is so attentive and the rooms are always super clean .

beautiful grounds and pool area. nice rooms. location. pool closes at 5 pm, have never seen a pool close so early. restaurant did not have lighter meals for dinner time {sandwiches were only available at lunch}. plumbing in room did not work from when we arrived, was later fixed.
- 5/5
Great staff, clean hotel and great location
- 5/5
Really enjoyed the clean and wonderful maintained property. Staff was so nice.
- 3/5
The hotel is old but very clean and neat. Definitely over priced for food and drink's. Would have definitely been perfect if we didn’t have to go out or uber eat because of there prices in food/drinks. No wonder all those areas were empty. Please make it more reasonable for guests and maybe you will see it busy…Also the pool area closes to early…
- 5/5
Breakfast was delicious and the view was exceptional our room was perfect excellent bed and to sleep on it
- 5/5
Localización perfecta Personal perfecto Lo uníco malo le falta mucha renovación en los baños de las habitaciones Son limpios pero no modernos
- 4/5
We were in a room with a balcony facing the ocean. This was our second stay. Everything was fine, but for the cost of staying here, the exercise room is very much below par.
- 3/5
Didn’t eat there
- 3/5
I love the location, 70s nostalgic feel, and the room was a great size, but lacked amenities that are pretty tables stakes at hotels now, like water and shower gel. The balcony chairs were stained a gross brown, and the shower didn't drain properly, making it impossible to wash hair without the tub water quickly rising up to your mid calf. On Easter Sunday, the pool was taken over by employees hosting games for kids, and they required adults to exit the pool for the majority of the day, a massive disappointment, as was the constant smoking of other guests on the pool deck. The staff won't let you eat hotel fries on your pool chair, but the guests around you can pollute the air freely. I didn't get the benefit of what I paid for the stay being unable to use the pool on one of the days.
- 3/5
Just average old property. Nothing special.
- 5/5
Absolutely beautiful hotel and setting. Service was slow.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect. Access to the beach, wonderful walking/biking path, quiet, easy access to restaurants and shopping. The large pool is heated - how great is that? Clean rooms, friendly staff. This is the second time we visited and the hotel appears empty - very few guests. It's great for us but how do you stay in business?
- 4/5
Otherwise all good
- 5/5
Awesome stay as always!!!A++
- 5/5
Very clean room efficient staff
- 5/5
Everything was lovely, and I would return here in a trice. The young women at the desk were especially kind, friendly, and helpful.
- 5/5
Ac worked extremely well.
- 5/5
Right on the beach. Convenient to restaurants and top tier shopping right scross the street.
- 5/5
We had a great experience. Awesome staff and beautiful beach!
- 5/5
Lovely location to get the family together to relax. The coffee shop, the pool and the cabanas were highlights!
- 5/5
Beautiful place, well kept for the age of the building.
- 5/5
Beautiful ocean and pool view from my balcony. Pool was very well kept and warm. Pool bar had great drinks and the restaurant had excellent food along with quick service. All the staff was very kind and helpful. The beach was lovely. Would stay there again!
- 5/5
Great location - love the old world vibes - no need to become “slick” like big, commercial properties nearby….remain the “Grand Old Lady”
- 4/5
The room was spacious and clean. Very Nice staff. We didnt have an ocean view room.
- 5/5
It overlooked the ocean but not the beach. It

Advertising as a five-star hotel charging for a five-star hotel and providing a One-Star hotel
- 4/5
Great location, pool had debris from the trees. Pool guys very nice. Lunch was delicious, drinking water warm no ice. Breakfast pancakes were too thick and not cooked all the way, coffee was week. Server very nice. Building is old but well maintained I would stay again.
- 4/5
The room was great, but the staff seemed generally disinterested in the patrons. The conceierge for example, barely spoke English and couldn't answer simple questions about the area. The pool needed to be cleaned more regularly and the guy running the cabana/towel stand disappeared on a regular basis.
- 2/5
Room was very hot, blow dryer did not work.
- 5/5
Everything
- 5/5
Awesome experience, bigger rooms! The laege heated pool is amazing with a path to the ocean! Onsite restaurant is recommend too! We will be back!
- 5/5
We had a great time. The breakfast was delicious and very nice ambiance. We were in the pool and beach and great service in both. You can really relax in this hotel
- 2/5
I can't believe that I paid over $900 for a two night stay at this hotel. The first room that I was given was old, old, old, particularly the bathroom. I asked to be given an updated room and was shown two, both on the first floor. The first overlooked the parking lot, the second a roof where, if I really looked hard, I could see the ocean. I chose the second. The bathroom, while updated, had a cracked tissue box holder, a chip in the bathtub, brown grout around the tub and, a sink faucet handle that hit the shelf above it. Doesn't anyone check these things? And, at over $300 a night for the room, could they spring for a Keurig and something other than powdered "creamer"? Overall, it was old and dreary. Maybe this hotel was in its heyday 50 years ago. Not now.
- 5/5
Beautiful stay
- 3/5
The room was nice, staff was friendly. The problem was, the pool closes at 5:00pm on a Saturday!
- 4/5
Pool and deck are nice Beach was great Very disappointed that Expedia did not notify us that there is construction on both sides of the deck in adjacent condo buildings under repair for years with incessant drilling noise and dust from Monday morning till Friday aftrrnoon!!!!
- 1/5
Construction happening on both sides of the building, oceanfront rooms are more “pool front” than ocean front. Building is short, overshadowed by each building on its sides. The hotel is very old, the other residents were rude, the pool guy threw a fit and yelled at me for taking towels off empty beach chairs, got in my face yelling and took the towels from me. I paid 800$ for one night
- 3/5
Staff was nice. Our room and hall area smelled musty. The towels were old and worn out. They definitely need new linens.
- 5/5
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the location of the hotel was great!
- 5/5
Room was very clean. Great location. Very nice staff.
- 5/5
housekeeping was darling and aiming to help. Overall I got the vacation and relaxation that I really needed. PS- there is some construction going on in other rooms or areas of the hotel, but no noise during the evening or early morning, so it did not bother us thankfully. the hotel seems old but kept up nicely. Kind of quaint. It felt clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, gave us a full refund due to flight cancelation. Clean room. They sent us an IT guy to help us pair our tablet to the tv screen. Will come again!
- 3/5
Thanks
- 5/5
nice room, pleasant staff, great warm pool. on the beach
- 4/5
Great pool and access to the beach!
- 5/5
Clean Room
- 5/5
In the room, as in all the rooms, there was a safe. One morning, I forgot to put my city bag back inside it - the one with my passport, all my cash (a lot of cash), my watches, and everything else. I want to sincerely thank and congratulate the housekeeping staff for not being tempted to take anything, even though it would have been easy. These people are truly honest.
- 4/5
Some rooms are a bit shabby. Those with carpets especially should be vacuumed daily.
- 5/5
Over all very pleasant experience.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
I love to stay the Sew view hotel members so nice specially manager, Mrs: Maria and Mrs. Luna Mr. Dante, very generous, very polite
- 3/5
A bit tired but a budget option in that area. Low level sea views leave a lot to be desired
- 4/5
The room was very clean and nice. The restaurant was very good, we ate Dinner, Lunch and one breakfast there. The beach and pool folks were nice. Parking for $25 a day was unnecessary.
- 3/5
The view that I paid $3000 for overlooked a tacky roof. The hotel next-door was doing construction. I was sick in my room for a week, listening to the banging. The only thing that saved my whole day were the employees with their kindness the room service checking in on us to make sure we were OK, but the amenities itself were not worth the money that I spent.
- 5/5
Property was well kept up. I like that fact that it is right on the beach. Clean and very helpful staff.
- 5/5
Amazing.
- 5/5
Great room service, friendly staff and stunning beach and bay view.
- 3/5
Not that nice for the money
- 3/5
The hotel is very old and outdated. The bathroom was very small.
- 5/5
The room smelled good.
- 4/5
The bayview was not what I expected, I thought it would have been closer, but it will not deter me from returning.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay! Old school hotel with a personality, charm and southern hospitality. My room was very clean, updated, pretty and had every single little thing you can think of. The mattress is comfortable, bedding and towels are crispy clean, personnel is top notch, and the location is superb. I was actually pleasantly surprised bc lately you don’t it often in one place and the price was right. They know what they are doing and I would definitely come back. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
This is a great property with friendly staff, excellent bar and restaurant, and great beach front amenities. It’s a little more laid back than some of the nearby hotels and was exactly what is needed for a recharge.
- 5/5
The staff was very polite friendly and helpful with any questions I had.
- 5/5
The staff was wonderful - cabana men & restaurant staff, pool temp was just perfect and so clean, ocean was lovely to go swimming and the beach to go walking, great walking path too - probably my favorite. The lobby is so beautiful and the hotel is across the street from shops and restaurants!
- 5/5
This Hotel is Outstanding. It's old world charm and excellent service is best in all of Miami Beach
- 2/5
I don't appreciate paying the amount I paid for my stay (on top of all the extra charges) to be made to feel like I'm an inconvenience and less than somehow; or like I'm not good for payment. Finally, while the linens were nice and the room was very clean, the room was nothing like what was shown in the photos online. Let's be real, this was a standard double-bed room, with a balcony and very small bathroom. I am deeply disappointed with the staff and false advertising. We were in town for a funeral and could have done without this unnecessarily stressful experience.
- 1/5
Exterior photos were of another hotel. Would like a refund as well
- 5/5
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
- 1/5
The week before I came. I had called the hotel’s front desk. I asked them specifically if any construction was going on. And if they heard any noise. They assured me that there was no noise or construction going on. I was then connected to the Manager of the pool area. He told me that all that's going on is a little bit of painting and some small drilling, but you don't really hear any noise. I specifically took an ocean front balcony room so I would be able to sit out and enjoy the beautiful view and read my books. It was a total waste of money, because we could not sit out on the balcony at all. From 9:00 in the morning till 5:30 at night. The jackhammering and noise were so loud that it even came into the room. ee couldn't sit there because we were breathing in the spray paint that was being used to spray the building next to us. This was one of the worst trips I ever had. So basically, I only stayed in the hotel at night I was not able to use any of the amenities during the day. If the staff did not lie to me before I came. I would have made arrangements to go to another hotel. But this was intentional subterfuge. Hotel management is a disgrace to society.
- 3/5
Pool was closed, trued to charge me for a resort fee, did not see 1 housekeeper for 3 days, smelled like mildew view of rooftop
- 5/5
The beach view from my room was awesome!
- 5/5
Room is spotless, staff is friendly. I had a little bit of a toilet issue and I was promptly offered another room. The hotel is old but well maintained. It has a charm that I have enjoyed for many years
- 3/5
Overpriced
- 5/5
Great hotel. Old world charm.
- 3/5
yes//////all ok...but poor the restaurant
- 4/5
Pool was shutdown for routine maintenance. Was not disclosed. Asked for higher floor was told not available but staff said occupancy rate was less than 30 percent
- 5/5
Stunning hotel
- 4/5
Dated room but large and comfy, location great! Wait staff lovely Front desk great
- 3/5
Very dated. Pool was Broken , we were told checking in . Good food. Furniture on balcony very old. Needs an upgrade .
- 4/5
Close your eyes and book here. I didn't get to experience the pool as it was down but the rest of the place is wonderful. Order the Shrimp Martini. LoL
- 5/5
Great place and great bartenders and staff
- 5/5
Very friendly staff and hotel nearly empty allowing for solitude.
- 5/5
…
- 4/5
Very quiet hotel
- 5/5
Amazing property - very clean. Only problem was there was construction nexct door...not their fault .
- 4/5
Great price and location for a UM game. Only 12 miles from stadium but right on the beach. Great breakfast and pool/slash beach amenities. Hotel is a little worn but very clean. Bathrooms are small but rooms are spacious and comfortable.
- 5/5
We had direct access to the beach and the rooms were clean and provided everything that we needed
- 5/5
This is not our first time. OK, it may be dated for some but it has All the essentials! & they are functional. For us, foremost spacious beachfront, spacious pool & pool deck , pool bar restaurant, well outfitted gym, though the equipment is a previous generation it all works , spacious rooms with a spacious balcony , inside bar lounge, classic art deco building, interior classic midtown Manhattan style, friendly service orientated staff, all away from the craziness of Sourh beach in upscale Bar Harbor,
- 5/5
This lovely historic hotel is situated right on the beach with pristine white sand and a dedicated cabana beach person. The hotel has beautiful details including marble floors on the 1st floor, crown molding in the rooms etc. The staff were attentive and friendly. Well situated with ready access to Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Lovely stay!
- 3/5
Ok
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and eager to make our stay enjoyable
- 5/5
The Grand Dame of Bal Harbour! This 80 year old beauty was one of the first resorts in Bal Harbour. Nestled between The Ritz and The St. Regis, the location is perfect. My room was huge and clean. Dated of course, but I slept so well. The maids come daily and were so sweet. I ate on property and it was delicious. Excellent service and well priced. The shower was strong enough, the towels were nice, the sheets were crisp. Every staff member went above and beyond. Sea View is a rare find. I’ll be back!
- 5/5
Love it here. Staff is very friendly. Always stay here several times a year.
- 5/5
Service, spotless, home away from home
- 5/5
It was very upscale.
- 5/5
Great access to beach. Nice pool. Building is slightly dated but is well maintained and housekeeping was very diligent and overall was a great experience. Stayed 7 days.
- 5/5
Beach front
- 1/5
Old
- 5/5
I will definitely go back !!!
- 5/5
Beautiful older hotel. The staff is exceptional. The food was very good. Loved the cabana!! Bobby is the best! Pool is lovely and beach access was great. Will definitely be returning.
- 2/5
The building is outdated and definitely needs some upgrades. The staff were somewhat friendly, but not especially welcoming or helpful. One of the biggest issues was the number of hidden fees. Parking costs $26 per night, and there’s a $26 resort fee for each night as well. Even the continental breakfast isn’t included it’s an additional $20–$30 per person. For what I ended up spending in extra fees, I could have booked a nicer hotel with better amenities and more transparency upfront. The pool is a nice size, and the beach is conveniently close. The sand was clean, but the water had a lot of seaweed, so it wasn’t ideal for swimming. On top of that, there was a large construction project going on next door, which made it noisy and less relaxing. In the end, the location is a plus, but between the outdated facilities, hidden charges, and noise, I wouldn’t stay here again. If you're considering this hotel, just be aware that the “base price” is far from what you’ll actually pay.
- 4/5
I chose a "bay view" balcony room but found balconycactually faced hotel under construction and lots of construction guys. Otherwise, Sea View was nice, quiet and the staff were outstanding, especially the restaurant and pool/beach staff!
- 5/5
Awesome
- 3/5
Construction workers cat calling my wife and gawking
- 5/5
Pool and beach beautiful Good food
- 5/5
Amazing hotel fantastic staff
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Everything was great other than construction Noise all day right next door, over the fence, guys were grinding away the facade and balconies, it was driving me crazy… but the view and everything else was great, great people working there.
- 4/5
July 4 weekend pretty nice and quiet enjoyed ocean view balcony room, pool and restaurant
- 5/5
Every thing was perfect I recommend this hotel 100 %
- 5/5
Love the pool, beach, our balcony , and the staff. All lovely and a nice gem.
- 4/5
Great hotel that shoots above price point
- 5/5
The building is old, but location is the best, personnel is very friendly, amazing pool, the beach is great, the bal harbour mall and food options there - all just great. The Bal Harbour is the best neighborhood in Miami Beach in our opinion and the SeaView hotel has the best price/value ratio from the beach line hotels.
- 5/5
Beautiful peaceful
- 2/5
We stayed only for 1 night. We drove over from Naples with the family for a summer vacation kick-off. If we had booked for longer, we would have changed hotels. This hotel is old which we have no problem with. It's a beautiful old building. But, the carpet was smelly and dirty. The bed mattresses were saggy. There is no vanity in the bathroom to put your things. We a late lunch in the restaurant. The service was excellent. The food was good quality. They should have warned us about the construction on the building next door right next to the pool. We could not sit outside to eat or swim, it was so loud. My daughters were covering their ears. And, it's just not a relaxing experience.
- 5/5
Guest services/front desk are amazing. Housekeeping is amazing! Used laundry service for this visit and it was excellent! I have found my spot. Will be back again!
- 2/5
Checked in and was told I had to pay all these extra fees. The hotel itself is definitely not a 4 star. It’s outdated and the shower wouldn’t even drain. Would not recommend staying here.
- 5/5
My recent stay at the Sea View Hotel in Bal Harbour was truly delightful. The hotel’s prime beachfront location offers stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, and its classic European-style charm adds a unique touch to the experience. The rooms are impressively spacious and well-appointed, featuring comfortable beds, ample walk-in closets, and modern amenities. I particularly enjoyed the private balcony, which provided a serene spot to relax and take in the ocean breeze. The staff at Sea View Hotel were exceptional—friendly, professional, and always ready to assist. From the front desk to housekeeping, everyone contributed to making my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel’s amenities are top-notch. The Olympic-sized heated pool and the well-maintained private beach area were perfect for unwinding. I also appreciated the on-site dining options; the Terrace Restaurant offered delicious meals with a beautiful ocean view, and the Sea View Coffee Shop was great for a quick bite. Additionally, the hotel’s proximity to Bal Harbour Shops made it convenient for shopping and dining. The surrounding area is peaceful and upscale, providing a relaxing atmosphere throughout my stay. Overall, Sea View Hotel exceeded my expectations. Its combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and prime location makes it a standout choice in Bal Harbour. I look forward to returning on my next visit.

Excellent location , old old hotel ,,, very poor and facility
- 1/5
Horrible Hotel .. Highly priced.. dirty and old
- 5/5
Very nice and relaxing, friendly and helpful staff. One of my favourite places to stay
- 5/5
Close to the beach and very quiet
- 5/5
very nice
- 2/5
There was a Wi-Fi hotspot in our room in the sleeping area. It lit up the room like a night light, but since it also blinked rapidly, it was impossible to sleep. I had to stand on a chair to cover it with a shirt. Also, you have to access the pool through a narrow basement tunnel and you can't use your room key to open the door...you have to push a button and wait for security to buzz you in. The pool closes at 5. You pay the resort fee to use the pool but it closes before you can use it on your check-in day. The bathroom was tiled by the lowest priced contractor in the early 90s. The restaurant staff was amazing.
- 5/5
As always everything was clean and perfect
- 5/5
Looking forward to going back.
- 3/5
Staff made things extremely inconvenient. Every little change made with the room was a massive up-charge.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, especially Armando and Jennifer at the coffee shop.
- 5/5
Wish it’s had a hot pool
- 4/5
Big hotel, a bit dated but has a massive pool and direct access to the beach!
- 5/5
We really liked our stay here. The room was nice, spacious and clean. The property itself was great with a large pool and sitting area around it, plus the beach was right behind it. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel right on the beach - it’s was wonderful!!!! Cleanliness was a 10!!! Staff was friendly too!!!
- 3/5
Not helpful in moving us away from noice.Paid for a balcony .Sand blasting building next door
- 4/5
Very happy!
- 3/5
Seemed somewhat short staffed, as phone calls for room service, housekeeping and restaurant weren’t answered or not followed through after request. Staff was very kind, however. Uber rides are expensive and traffic can be heavy if headed towards South Beach.
- 4/5
Great large pool with 9’ deep end. Vintage charm :)
- 4/5
Hotel could use an update
- 4/5
Nice job. Construction and the building next-door was a bit noisy, but that is not the hotel’s fault.
- 3/5
The staff was great. The property needs to be updated. After the 2nd day the bathroom mirror was growing mold and the room smelled musty.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Great beachfront hotel. Walking distance to Bal Harbour shops. Highly recommend, will stay again.
- 5/5
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. Our room was spacious, clean, and offered a breathtaking ocean view. The beach was just a short walk away, providing us with a peaceful and relaxing escape. We loved the convenience of nearby shops and restaurants, which offered a variety of options to explore. The hotel's on-site restaurant was also a highlight, serving delicious meals with excellent service. The breakfast buffet was a particular favorite. Overall, Seaview Hotel provided the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and hospitality. We left feeling refreshed and are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended for a stress-free family getaway!

This is an affordable older hotel in good condition in a great area with a wonderful beach, pool, and it is convenient to Bal Harbour shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, the hotel immediately south of this property is under going major reconstruction and it is very noisy. I paid extra for a room with a balcony and view. Half the view was of the city, the other half of the unfinished hotel and the construction. I asked to be moved and they said they were nearly full, although there were very few other guests. I was offered the room next door with a view of the nearly empty parking lot. The pool area is nice but forget napping, the racket from next door from 8 am on made it impossible to relax. I would definitely return after the project next door is complete.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sea View very much. The only downside was the construction going on next door. We had a room with a balcony, but unfortunately it overlooked the construction debris- not a pretty sight. We had several meals at the restaurant by the pool, and the food and service were great.

Best value in that area, it’s quiet & calm, not the place if you want a party spot! Love the little diner with the server Jennifer, food is excellent for breakfast or lunch. Very enjoyable experience at the Sea View!

We come back every year and enjoy our stay. The place is across the beach, the seafront walk away is safe and clean. The rooms are clean and quiet. Overall seaview is affordable and nice.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff are so kind and helpful. The building although a tad older, is right on the beach. I like the aesthetic. The pool is also gorgeous. The area is walkable and safe. There is construction on a building next door but it did not negatively impact my stay. Highly recommend.

Construction at an adjacent hotel very noisy. I was not aware if this.

They have no water in rooms. Free or for purchase. No filtered water system on site to get water for the room or to fill your own bottle. It’s not quite the level of service you expect for Bal Harbour area. We did have an unexpected delight, Jennifer served us in the coffee shop and was exceptional. She was on her own and very busy. Had a great spirit and did a wonderful job! The hotel has an old world feel(built in the 40’s). With a little freaking up it could be spectacular.

Hotel is lovely! Built in 1948 with interesting history, but renovated nicely and not dumpy. Very clean. Amazing location. Quiet!

Very nice property right on the beach with a beautiful pool. I liked the order architecture and designs.

Most all employees are great, but even though we could see on the website that plenty of rooms were available, they placed us in an undesirable room. In this case, we were placed in a room with air conditioning issues throughout the visit (often couldn't get below 79 degrees) with the worst balcony view of all (just above entrance). When I requested a different room, I was told by the night clerk that no other rooms were available (even though the parking lot was only 10% full). They keep the site very clean, and based on our interaction with employees, I'm sure most have a great visit.

Excellent staff and great food!

Staff was great and facilities were nice . Didn’t like that they placed a 500 dollar charge/hold on my card without telling me.

My first room was a standard setup, featuring a bed, TV, and bathroom. While the air conditioning and heating worked fine, I encountered a significant issue with the shower—it had very low pressure, making it nearly impossible to take a proper shower. I reported this to the front desk, and maintenance promptly came to take a look. They provided a temporary fix, but it quickly became clear that it wouldn’t hold. To avoid further disruptions to my vacation, I requested a room change. The second room was an improvement in functionality, though it had a bit of a musty smell. Thankfully, there were no further issues, which allowed me to relax a bit more during my stay. Another downside was my experience at the bar. They seemed to lack a decent selection of standard beers, including Corona. I ended up settling for a Corona Light, but when I finished the bottle, I noticed it was expired by six months. I brought this to the bartender's attention, but to my surprise, he didn’t remove the other ten expired beers from the shelf. This lack of attention to detail was disappointing. Overall, while the Sea View Hotel has a prime location and some nostalgic charm, it definitely needs updates and better management. Given my experience, I would recommend staying at a differ
