This little boutique hotel is clean and just the best location in the Bal Harbor/ Surfside area. The rooms are big and the staff is so nice. We have used this hotel for years to visit family and it is consistently amazing.

The room was great - very spacious. It was also close to the beach and included beach chairs and umbrella that could be used. Lots of restaurants nearby. Really nice. We booked transportation through the hotel, but it would have been quicker just to take an Uber or a cab. It took over 20 minutes for the driver to come pick us up, and he asked what hotel we were going to when he arrived.

Needs to have some serrated knifes and at least one sharp knife. For cutting cheese and bread. Maybe 2-4 plastic tumbler size cups

That being said, the suite itself was equipped with a small kitchen, 2 full beds, one bathroom, a pull out sofa and a small dining area. The main areas of the hotel were clean but the rooms could be a bit cleaner (floors, dusting, pull out bed linens). The location is fantastic - one block from the beach, chairs, towels and umbrellas available to bring with to the beach. Lots of close restaurants, shops and groceries within walking distance. The beds are not very comfortable for a longer stay - we brought two kids and our host scolded our daughter for jumping on the bed (she weighs 45lbs). I understand it but it wasn’t very welcoming. The host also had my reservation confused multiple times and I had to prove my dates with my booking receipt for her to believe me. I felt rushed to leave at the end as it seemed the room was double booked. The cleaning staff were friendly and the pool was awesome.

Absolute best staff here! Very large and clean room, location is 10/10 and pool is beautiful! Beach chairs and towels provided for the beach as well! Will come again!

Highest praises... we were pleasant surprise upon arrival. The property, although not directly on the beach as advertise, is within a 2 minute walk. It is a small garden style property, full of charm and meticulously maintained. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet (and super clean). The onsite parking is a HUGE plus. I can't say enough good things about the staff; from the minute we arrived, we were greeded by our first names. Keeping this one on speed dial... 5 of out 5

Mommy Daughter getaway was perfect. Not all the hustle and bustle of a huge hotel. Private quiet and professional service from beginning to ending. We felt very welcomed.

Love it!! Vanessa was great! Showed us to our room, took us on a tour of the property and helped us with parking our truck too !🙌. Hotel is right across from a very nice beach, right by shopping and dining options, hotel only has 19 rooms, which is wonderful! Our suite was clean and large, bed was super comfortable along with the pillows. We highly recommend! Exclamation!❤️❤️❤️

Lovely big room a stone's throw from the beach. Very accommodating staff allowing me to arrive early and check out late which made everything soooo much easier for me. Water in the room would have been nice for the price but not a big deal

Gorgeous hotel, spacious and extremely clean rooms/bathrooms, staff went over and beyond to accommodate our late check in, 2mins from the beach. Far from Ocean Drive and not many restaurants/bars near by but closeness to the beach was more important to us.

The room and the outside area were nice and clean. Luis was very accommodating as we were to have a second floor room and he quickly gave us a first floor room when he saw that my wife would have a hard time going up the steps. He also gave us great recommendations on where to eat in the area. AAAA++++!!!!

Vanessa checked us in and gave a great tour of the Boutique Hotel and even generously upgraded our room to a suite. The hotel is excellently located just adjacent to a beautiful beach and an upscale shopping center. Rooms are well stocked and maintained with full kitchen and clean facilities. Only wish we could stay here longer.

Excellent location (right across the street from the beach). There were chairs and umbrellas to use and enjoy at the beach. The warm pool area on-site was so relaxing. Free parking was easy in - easy out. The little apartment was exactly what I expected and was pleased with the cleanliness of the entire facility. The managers were excellent and extremely professional and helpful. Will definitely book here again!

This place was such a gem of a find! We cooked, walked to the beach (they had beach chairs and umbrellas to borrow), went out to restaurants a couple of times, soaked in the heated pool, rented Citi bikes from a nearby kiosk. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Would 100% stay again and will recommend to others if they're visiting Miami. Thank you!

Sun Harbour is unique, in that it is a small two story hotel set among high rises. We stayed in a two bedroom (2 bath) unit with kitchen; lots of space. This was our fifth visit. The pool is never crowded (I don't think we ever shared it), there is no elevator to wait for, or valet to deal with. Because the hotel is small, every room is about 30 seconds from the main entrance or your parked car. The beach is right across the street, and the hotel provides towels, chairs, and umbrellas. It is far and away a better experience than all the 5 star high rises up and down the beach. It is also a 5 minute walk from dozens of good restaurants and shops. A car is completely unnecessary. On our last day, our flight was at 10pm, and the manager told us to check out as late as we liked and to just enjoy the day. That is amazing service.

The hotel was on a very, very busy main road. The traffic was loud, horns were honking most of the time. Loud cars and motorcycles stopping at the light right at the hotel day and night. It was so annoying I couldn’t sit out at the pool, which was also right by the main road. Not a very relaxing area. There was an alley with an ugly dumpster that we had to look at from the bedroom. And, a kids daycare next door also ruined the ambiance. The room appeared clean but once you got in, it was pretty dirty. I had to clean and dust the furniture since it didn’t look like they did that for a while. The floors and baseboards were also dusty. In general the room was surface cleaned but not completely clean. Finally, the room was dark even though it had windows. Just didn’t feel inviting. To get to the beach, you had to cross this very busy 4 lane main road with the loud cars, crazy drivers, horns honking, motorcycles, etc. I didn’t feel safe., which was stressful. I know the hotel can’t control the traffic, but at least tell people what to expect. Don’t tell them it’s a quiet boutique hotel when it’s not.

The staff was so welcoming, the unit itself was clean and spacious, and the surrounding area had everything you need from restaurants to boutiques and groceries. I will definitely be back with my family soon!

A small pool but warm and nice to get in , pools are rare in this area. Manager and staff were so friendly and could not do enough for us. Highly recommended and if we go back to Miami would book this hotel 100%. Thanks for making the end of our trip sp enjoyable Grahame & Joanne

There is an outdoor pool. Shopping malls and restaurants are just a few blocks away. The beach was about a five minute walk, and the hotel provided free towels and umbrellas for use. If you didn't want to drive into town, a bus stop is nearby. The property is a bit dated, but clean and conveniently located (although somewhat noisy because of street traffic). It is reasonably priced for this community.

Very spacious with a separate living area and kitchen

We stay there a lot because it is an excellent value for the location and size of our suite. Very suitable for our longer stays in miami. Bed was very comfortable, rooms were very clean. The furniture and bathroom were a bit tired, and the dining room chairs had stains on them. A few cosmetic upgrades would make a better impression on first time guests. If this isn't a problem for you you'll be very happy. Also, there are tall, steep outdoor steps to get to the upper suites. If you are older, or have kids with strollers, I highly recommend reserving a first floor suite.

Fantastic location, very welcoming staff, providing everything we needed or could possibly wish for! Pool turns into a spa, cozy atmosphere with rooms surrounding the courtyard. Tables for outdoor meals and chaise lounges for relaxing around the pool area. Spacious suites with everything provided to make our stay just perfect! Loved it all!

Excellent location for accessing the beach at Surfside (2min walk). Good choice of restaurants on the street behind the hotel and at the adjacent Bal Harbour shopping mall. Free use of beach chairs and umbrellas helped save on expensive rentals on the beach.

I had a lovely welcome at reception when I arrived & was escorted to my suite which was larger than I expected with kitchen, dining & living room. George was also on hand & took my 2 cases to my room & also drove my car to the parking area for me while I was shown around this fab hotel. I really enjoyed my stay at Sun Harbour. As recommended I went to Flanagan's restaurant around the corner for my evening meal & was not disappointed. The food was very good & I enjoyed my night. 1st time in Bal Harbour & I wish I had booked more than 1 night. If I go in that area again I would definitely book to go back.

The staff was unbelievable. My flight came in very late and they arranged for my room to be accessible and for me to park easily in the middle of the night. They also allowed me to leave my car in its parking spot for a few hours after check-out. Fantastic service and very very clean! Would definitely recommend.

One night stay since we were traveling on to Key West. This little hotel was great. Clean and conveniently located to restaurants and the beach. Check in was simple and super friendly. I even received a call the day prior to check on my arrival time so everything was ready. The pool is small but was clean, warm, and peaceful. Enjoyed our stay!

Excellent hotel in perfect location. Close to great dining, shops and beach! Service by Vanessa was excellent as she personally made check in a breeze and took us to the room to make sure we understood amenities and answered any questions. Poring rain when we arrived and Jorge met us when we arrived with umbrella in hand!

This hotel is AMAZING!!! The room/mini apartment was outstanding! My time there was great..though the plane crash on the bridge did cause a huge back up, so please take into account if there’s any accidents in the area u maybe stuck in traffic..I sat in traffic for an extra 20mins for a 5min drive sooo lol Just Walk. Regardless the hotel was very relaxing! We walked to the beach and to the mall plus many stores right behind the hotel. I LOVED THIS HOTEL!! I literally can’t get over it and for one night very cheap but worth it! Thank you Vanessa!!

Great stay! Louis the manager was beyond helpful. The apartment was well appointed and very clean. Easily enough space for a family of four. The free use of beach towels and chairs was a lovely touch. Lots of places to eat literally around the corner from the hotel. Amazing designer shops just on the doorstep. Felt like a very safe area. A short walk to the beach to catch a breathtaking sunrise. Louis was an unbelievable host and had many suggestions for our short stay. Everything you need is within walking distance.

Hands down best value for money in Miami beach. Wonderful villa resort , short walking distance to the beach, shopping, restaurants. Clean spacious accommodations are like a small condo that has everything you need. Our hosts, Louis and Vanessa went out of their way to help us with every need or question we had. We will be back!

Stayed there Labor Day and it was great. Small hotel with about 20 rooms (reminds me of Melrose place from the 90’s) small pool but quick access to the beach. They provide free parking, beach chairs, and umbrellas. We had a suite with two comfy queen beds!! Luis was amazing and very hospitable. About 20 mins away from south beach but we preferred it since it’s nice and quiet. You can’t find a better deal in Miami, but most importantly was the kindness of Luis. Definitely will be returning!!!!

Great property and wonderful location.

Luis and Theresa were exceptionally kind and welcoming. I would stay here again, it was very clean and like having a private condo more than a hotel.

The bed was soooo comfy also the view of the beachgoers on the street felt lively but not invasive.

This was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at in a long time. The apartment was super clean and beautifully decorated. Everything you could need while staying away from home was provided. The setting is a very warm Tuscan style. With nice outdoor seating and a cute pool. Property is located only a block from the beach and has a grocery store nearby as well as upscale shopping. The owners and staff a wonderful and very accommodating. They even called ahead to see when I would like to check in so they could get us in early.

Small not like the big hotel with a lot of people you have to cross paths with, especially during covid. Quaint, quiet, very clean, spacious living inside our suite 2 bds, right near stores and eateries plus very safe walking to them. Clean beach Surfside, very short walk from the hotel. Luis is excellent and very hospitable, explained and took me on a tour of everything I needed to know. Lovely peaceful boutique hotel tucked away. My new little happy place. I will be back.

Vanessa and Luis are phenomenal. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The hotel is a very short stroll to good restaurants, the beach, the Bal Harbour shops, and other “necessities”. Free parking is a bonus. You can not go wrong staying here.

The property was in a very safe area and right next to the beach. The people managing the property were very nice and always helped with anything. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The air conditioner worked good too so the room was never hot. They offer beach towels, umbrellas, and chairs to use. Parking is right under the building and easy to get to.

This property was amazing. We arrived in the morning and just wanted to be able to leave our luggage until our room was ready for check in in the afternoon. They did not hesitate, Vanessa said to give them a couple of hours and come back- well-we did and the room was ready and they upgraded us to a king bed and we didn't even ask...Louis and Vanessa are amazing and treat their customers like family.... We went to Miami for a wedding, but if we ever go back-Sun harbor Hotel would be our choice

Was very clean and just right for a one night stay the staff was pleasant and kind.

Our room was immaculate and had a well-supplied kitchen with all of the essentials. It was located directly across the street from the beach and was very accessible to a wonderful walking/running path. There were several restaurants, shops and grocery options within a short 2-block radius. Our hosts were very kind and made us feel welcome throughout our stay!

Luiz and Vanessa are so friendly and made sure we had a wonderful experience. The suite was clean and spacious. The hotel is walking distance from shopping, CVS, Starbucks, restaurants, and beach. This hotel is one of the few hotels that offer free parking. We will be back next year and plan to book again with Sun Harbor Boutique Hotel.

Very comfortable and well-appointed unit. Vanessa was extremely warm and hospitable when we checked in The location is convenient to the beach with many choices for dining easily walkable. The only drawback is the parking-access to the alley is difficult as it is a very busy intersection. We loved our stay and wished it was more than 2 days.
