Property a tad beat up. Breakfast was great. The guy who checked me in was nice. For the price definitely not worth it. Its an OK hotel. The room was pretty basic. The mattress was sub par. If your going to pay alot for a room try somewhere else. One suggestion im starting to find out when was the hotel built. This will help

The rooms were clean. The breakfast was great! They are a little out dated. However even though some things are out dated it was clean. The beds where not as comfortable as other places I have stayed. For the hotel being very busy. It was still very quiet. The pool area could have been cleaned a little better and would have been amazing if hot tub was working.

I was double charged after paying through Expedia. Holiday Inn staff said they couldn’t see my payment through Expedia and they had to run my card. Turns out I paid for the room twice and no idea if I’ll get a refund or not. Time will tell

Breakfast was ok. Juice machine was out of order but there was a pitcher of orange juice. Coffee at least was excellent The couple of positive things were the friendly front desk woman and staff, the bed was comfortable and the linens felt fresh and clean. Surprised by condition under IHG ownership. We will not be staying there again.

Very clean hotel! Lobby, rooms, hall, all parts I saw, very clean! Comfy beds, good breakfast, quiet.

The upholstery on the couch was dirty. When we arrived Saturday evening there was a pile of dirty towels in the hallway, they were still there the next morning. We will not stay at this property again.

Everything was just OK. I wouldn't choose to stay again. Pool ceiling was partially falling down. Hot tub was drained and unavailable.

Because I was a local they wanted $200 in cash for a deposit! Seems outrageous. Plus who wants cash these days?? Seemed odd. Never even checked in. Went elsewhere.

The room was adequate, but the pool and hot tub areas were out of commission due to a ceiling tile issue.

Location, allows dogs Switched from cable to Roku, our Roku had a prior guest’s Netflix still signed on. Huge security risk. We will not use our accounts on hotel Roku. So only used free app reruns instead of main network TV, local news/weather or cable stations. Huge downgrade.

Breakfast was ok, hot tub out of order; room was ok but not the cleanest. The inside of bathroom door was very dusty and dirty, didn’t want to touch it and heat/air was noisy.

Breakfast menu was good. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The exterior grass around the hotel had much litter.

The room was very clean and staff members were frendly. The breakfast set up had a nice selection of choices.

Everything It’s was great

Room was clean, hot tub broken, vending machines were out of water and candy was old. Ice machine only on first floor.

Drywall above the pool has fallen at some point. Hot tub is empty and wrapped in caution tape. Beds are hard. And bathrooms are showing signs of age - rust spots, peeling paint. Worst for the kids - none of the TVs seemed to work correctly the nights we stayed there.

Stayed one night twice in a week, at the start and end of a trip. Easy parking. Good breakfast. Hot tub under repair/not open for either stay. Pool good, though large area of ceiling above damaged & in disrepair. Very nice and helpful staff both times. During second stay, carpeting in stairwells completely dirty and filled with debris. Offending odor upon entering hotel and in stairwells. Fridge in room not cold and very filthy, with food stains, dirty brown liquid inside on bottom, & food debris stuck to metal shelves inside. Hotel staff notified and offered use of lobby fridge. Tub in room dirty, with hardened, colored pieces of matter on bottom and side of tub able to be scraped off. Staff notified. Rest of room clean. Everything in room fine during first stay. Lobby and hallways appeared clean both stays. Highlights are friendly helpful staff, comfy beds, easy parking & access to freeway, good breakfast & coffee. Downers: cleanliness/housekeeping on second stay, pool area/hot tub.

We got stuck in the elevator for 45 minutes until the fire department got there. The service date on the elevator was out of date. It expired in September of 2025. The TV didn’t work in the room. The alarm clock went off every hour of the night and the pillow cases were dirty.

The room was old, the bed seemed old and creeky, cleanliness was missed and the faucet was dirty and there was a bit of something on the floor. Again, for over $200, we expected something a bit nicer. Guy checking us in was not very pleasant. Never said anything about the breakfast either.

The shower was clogged and filled with water my whole shower as well as my husband's. The toilet looked dirty. The bathroom itself needed cleaning / updating as some tiles were missing on the wall by the shower. The heating unit seemed like it would make the room too hot even at 55 degrees F. It felt stuffy inside. I got a severe cold after leaving. I'm not sure the filter had been changed or something. The breakfast was pretty good and the bed was comfortable, but the remote on the tv wasn't working.

Was nothing like hotels.com described hot tub broken for 9 months tape on windows front desk super nice but when asked for "free" roll away bed said there was a 40 dollar charge not what was on the hotel.com sight but he ended up giving it anyways just saying if you gonna book dont go thru Hotels.com

It was about as clean as your average hotel is. The toilet did not flush properly and every so often in the middle of the night the tank would need to fill. Their breakfast was a little bit above average.

The parking lot was like an ice rink. Go across the street and get salt. The ice was horrendous. Also, pay a few bucks and get curtains without holes, and print the 4x8 sheet to list the tv channels since the cards you have are so warm out you can't read them.

The room and building were shabby. The hall smelled like a toilet. The bathtub had suspicious stains in it. I wish I’d chosen one of the other hotels at the same exit. I chose this one because it was a chain but it was more expensive and unimpressive for the price.

The staff were friendly and professional. However the bathroom really needs updating and the mattress was terrible! It was lumpy and old! Breakfast was fair; none of the items seemed to be fresh or cooked properly. The room was spacious.

Could use some updates. Tv was old , old microwave, the bed was hard uncomfortable. It smelled like sewer and wet dog. Staff was very nice. But for the price I expected more.

The property needs a remodel asap. The staff is excellent and they do what they can with whats there, but the rooms definitely need to be updated especially when you consider the price we paid. There was rust spots all over the tub floor. Just ekk.

The property was ok but no where to walk dogs. Our room was not clean. Big pile of hair in shower and on floor. Sofa was all stained. Tables a little greasy. The decor was relatively new. Breakfast ok but not very hot (eggs).

Our room didn’t get cleaned, had to ask for towels and other things for the room since it wasn’t cleaned. The pool was awful because of the chlorine smell and it burned our eyes just sitting there watches kids swimming and gave us a really bad headache. The staff was very polite.

The beds were not very comfortable in my or my child’s opinion. We tried to swim but the water was too cold for the kids to enjoy it. The hot tub was out of commission due to maintenance. That happens. We were also disappointed by not being able to have pancakes in the morning. Moreso bc the pancake machine was why we chose this hotel. I know, silly, but it means a lot to the kids. We were the first people for bfast at 6am and tried to figure it out but didn’t have any luck. The people after us wanted to use the toaster but that also wasn’t working. We were pretty sure there was no power to these, but couldn’t find anyone to ask. We even returned to the room to call the front desk with no luck. Someone did arrive to the desk once we were getting close to finishing, but he didn’t know why these didn’t have power to function. Overall, we did feel safe and that is very important to us.

Clean room with modern feel

Over all fine but the room was dusty, the mirrors hadn’t been cleaned and the bathroom grout and caulking needs major attention. Made it feel grimy. The toilet didn’t flush well either. Beds were clean and comfortable.

Unclean and not worth the money.

We have been stopping here on our way to Florida for a few years, it’s convenient right off the highway and there’s a QT and Walmart 5 mins away. BUT with that being said it could REALLY use some upgrades!! Carpet is bubbled in the halls, definite trip hazard! And even though rooms are clean those could use some updating as well, our shower enclosure didn’t even fit in correctly-there’s was a big hole and the caulking was all cracked around the shower. Breakfast was good!

I booked this hotel based off of the other holiday inns I stayed in before this one and it was not the same. The mattress was definitely stiff. Sat in the hot tub and noticed little bugs in the water floating around. I was on the second floor and it was SO LOUD as soon as you got off the elevator because they have one of their electrical room doors wide open and all the equipment was just sitting open to the public. Breakfast was okay. Looking at a heavy equipment yard out the window was not the view I’d like to look at or get woken up to every day.

Best pool hours 7 am-11 pm. Makes it possible to make full use on arrival and departure date. Holiday inn express has consistent breakfast

Hotel was quiet, safe, clean and affordable.

Traveling and this was a night stay on our trip. Very comfortable and good breakfast!

Room was clean and quiet (could not hear the elevator traffic (room was located on other side of the elevator hallway). The shower head dripped endlessly. The bathroom door was difficult to open/shut . It made a lot of noise. TV channel selection was good. Easy access to the elevator. Not located within walking distance to many restaurants. It was walkable to the WalMart.

Quick overnight stay

We were wanting to book Holiday Inn in Bloomington MN and I was booked in at Holiday Inn Bloomington Illinois. We arrived late and learned of this error, We could not get a hold of anyone at Hotels.com so lost out on a nights stay and then had to book with another hotel.

My check in experience was a disaster

This hotel is in desperate need of updating. My air conditioning wasn’t working, the hairdryer in the room didn’t work, the exercise equipment in the gym looks like it’s from the 70s.

The hotel was great! Conveniently located to our festival! Great pool, jacuzzi! Breakfast was great and well kept refueled. The front desk personnel were awesome, especially Naomi! She took excellent care of us!

Cons - shower curtain was moldy, grass was very long which was a problem for our little dog, lots of people sitting in the hotel parking lot in and outside of cars which was a bit odd and unsettling

Only stayed for about 10 hours to sleep while traveling back home from vacation. Bed was comfortable and my room was clean. Standard breakfast in the morning.

Very upsetting because it took an hour and a half to get us in our room. The clerk had has try several different cards (12+ cards) with 4 different rooms!!! Then he continued to not check up on us sitting in the hallway with our children. We had to always approach the front desk & say it's still not working after he had told my husband and I that he would come back! I have 2 young children that were ready to relax, go swimming, and eat that had to wait a long time! We finally had them go swimming without our room. We finally got a room but on the 2nd floor which I had requested 1st floor. I would like some sort of discount rate due to our circumstances. Thank you.

However, Breakfast was very disappointing. Biscuits were cold, hard and dry;sausage and gravy were also cold. Single coffee dispenser was empty, no backup fresh pot. The convenience of a hot breakfast on site was a principal reason for booking at this price, not pleased with this poor service

What a fantastic place to stay! The front desk employees in the am and pm were so nice and accommodating. Breakfast was fantastic, there was cereal, biscuits & gravy, sausage, cheese omelets, yogurt, breads & bagels. Very clean, quiet & comfortable place to stay with a heated pool and a jacuzzi!

Understandably a busy weekend, it being Family weekend at ISU but the front desk staff was very unfriendly and made it seem that our check-in and check-out was a bother to them. The room was very comfortable but the shower curtain and tub had mold spots. Not sure I would stay here again.

I had booked a queen room and ended up with a double beds. I asked for 2 nd floor. The 1st room we were taken had a musty smell. I asked for a different room. That was a little better but had mold by the heating cooling unit. I called the front desk and I showed her the mold and I informed her my husband had mold allergies. She asked me if I wanted a different room😢. Of course I said yes. She then took me to a double bed room which was a little better and I just said okay but now I will ask to be charged for double beds not queen bed. However, the front desk lady was polite about it. For $150 and change per night, they can do better than that.

Room was clean but had a strange odor. Bathroom could have been cleaned better. Dove toiletries were empty. Hot tub was cooler temperature than pool. Pool room needed much attention, so much dirt and hair all around the area on the floor. The staff at check in and when we asked for a bar of soap (none in room) were very nice. Most efficient check-in I have ever had a hotel!

Expected a room with a two person jetted tub. And got a room with a regular tub. Room had holes in the door and pant peeling off of the wall by shower. No towels by the pool.

Very comfortable and clean hotel with breakfast. What we have come to expect from Holiday Inn.

Just ok. Good for one night, but not much else. No complaints but when you pay attention to the details you notice that the paint is chipping, the AC has aluminum tape holding it together, the breakfast was half empty, and there is dog hair in the rug. These details are not deal breakers, but they also make sense with the price, so once again, good for one night.

This was a mediocre stay, the hotel had a funny smell, our refrigerator didnt work and the bathroom door wasnt able to shut all the way because it wasnt the correct door. Hotel need some work and the parking lot sucks. 2.5 star hotel max. Overpriced rooms

Tub basin had rust stains, sink was missing the stopper and hair all in the drain area. Hallways had some stains. Room otherwise clean and breakfast was good. Just not what i was expecting based in other reviews. Hotel needs a little more attention to cleanliness and furniture updates.

Convenient for a quick trip

It wasn’t horrible. Overall the beds just aren’t like any other holiday inn express that I have stayed at in the past Holiday Inn express is the only place I stay so I was surprised at the beds in this facility.

Average cleanliness. Some updates, but looked like they did a quick makeover in bathroom. Hairdryer went out 3 minutes after turning on. When I reported my room number to front desk and hairdryer was out, the desk clerk didn’t seemed surprised at all. Hot tub out, definitely not the best experience.

Traveling - got a good nights sleep - good breakfast

Breakfasts were terrific. Loved the low cholesterol options. Room was very comfortable. Toilet was a little sluggish but nothing that could not be managed. One of the emergency doors did not properly close and probably should be repaired for the safety of occupants. I was at a dog show with my dog and there is plenty of space to walk dogs around the hotel. Staff were lovely. Less than a mile from the fairground—you could walk if you want to walk. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything was very good except the toilet. From the 1st time, it never really worked. Otherwise, the hotel was as we expected or even better.

Horrible property. Extremely run down and smells smoky,musty, and moldy. Pool was broken, received 2 towels for 2 people for a 2 night stay. All towels and sheets were frayed. Our team’s coach stayed in a room with two mice. Was moved to another room that was infested with ants and had to be moved a third time. There’s a menu of every item in the room and what the price is if you steal it which is horribly tacky. No smoking signs and fees posted everywhere but that didn’t stop their staff from smoking in the property. I would NEVER go back.

Staff not very friendly prices increased for ISU Graduation. Booked months in advance didn’t know pool was under maintenance until we got there. No discount given due to booking through a third party. Room was not what it was described as.

No where did it say the pool was closed for remolding. Kids wanted to swim, that's why I booked here. By the time we found out it was too late to cancel.
