Best Western Plus Bloomington East Hotel

Very nice and affordable room. Rooms and property are very clean.We stayed 2 nights. We didn't use pool but saw staff cleaning it and it looked well maintained. Breakfast was well stocked and tasty. Housekeeping cleaned our room which we haven't seen much of at other hotels since the pandemic. Big plus was a complimentary charging station for our EV. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again with my family.

Room was clean and comfortable. That's all I needed on this trip.

The facility is aged. The tub and sink did not drain and water backed up. There was very little water pressure. Thankfully the toilet flushed.

Comfortable bed, plenty of towels, good size TV and alrm clock There was hallway light coming in from under the door. My room's window looked out onto a shopping center's very bright light. The curtain was broken and I couldn't close it to block out the light - which shined right across my head all night. Made me wake up like 4 times during the night

The rooms were very clean and comfortable for our one night stay.

Breakfast was fresh when I had it, and parking was good, too. The staff was friendly, and one of the housekeepers said goodbye when he saw I was about to check out.

The water was leaking outside the bath dub. Don't know if it was shower curtain was letting water out or something at the bottom of the tub was leaking. They just kept one spare tissue roll! bathroom is very small and bedroom area also very small

Clean room and excellent staff. Only reason not all 5 stars is because towel rack in bathroom was broken and body wash container in shower was empty. Would definitely stay there again. Convenient location!

Major things were fine. Comfortable beds, decent breakfast spread. Bathroom was lacking. No hand soap, about 6 pumps on the shower body wash, hair in tub from prior guest. Several other minor issues that contributed to poor rating.

When I was in the shower I found out there shampoo and soap was empty.

The check in was a little shaky. They gave my room to another guest also , who was trying to enter my room while I was in it. The breakfast was great. The room was clean. I would recommend this for a short stay. I only stayed 1 night, was there for a graduation.

It was clean. Coffee pots were empty when we came down for breakfast. There was no staff around to inform them the pots were empty. We also had to walk through the smell of cigarettes in the hall because someone was standing just outside one of the side doors.

Outside and parking lot was ran down. Lobby was clean and nice. Room was clean. But no hand soap provided, lotion, and body soap in shower was empty. Breakfast was below average. Staff was fine, but definitely understaffed. Overall, a decent stay. But for over a $200 stay you could expect more.

The room was just okay, nothing spectacular. I was quite disappointed that I paid extra for a suite with a whirlpool tub but after running 3 clean cycles trying to clean out the jets, there was still a lot of nasty gunk coming out so I ultimately decided against using it for bathing.

I dare you to wipe the entire counter, table, phone, etc. Also most of the linens I saw had stains or hairs on them despite getting new ones. If this lets me attach photos and videos I will, but the cleaning staff has bad eye sight at bare minimum bc they changed the pillows into dirty cases IN FRONT OF ME and didn’t completely clean up the sauce splatter I pointed out on the nightstand. It’s been a week with no email reply from the owner.

Dirty room. Gross bathroom shower and curtain was gross. Ac sounded broken and was shaking the floor. Part of the third floor was trapped off with fans going. Smelled terrible. Immediately checked out and did not stay.

We were visiting and the nite prior to our visit it was a bad storm and the hotel lost power when we reserved our room the next day 04/18/2026 our room was very cold that night and our heater wouldn’t com

Major storm came thru late evening and took down trees, fences, and the HVAC on the roof of the hotel, which then somehow ripped a gas line. Near 11:30pm, maintenance pounded on the door telling us to vacate our room and meet in the lobby. After we managed to find our way down stairs (no assistance) and waiting 20-30 minutes for some information, we were told that all was clear and we could return to our room... No power, heat, AC. Power was restored around 8:00am, but no hot water. Eventful night and a story to tell.

There were a few strange things. My room had a mirror mounted behind the TV and it felt like the furniture wasn't properly sized for the room. The hotel it's self seems like two buildings connected together. Overall, it was a good stay and i'd consider staying here again.

This was the worst experience we have had on our rt 66 journey. First it is on a service road with a difficult address. So my navigation couldn’t find it. So we tried to call for directions. It is a national chain so you get sent to their main national number without a person to talked to. I called hotels.com, where I booked it. I got a person, they called the hotel then called me back and gave me the number. That was the problem. The girl at the desk was indian and couldn’t speak english very well and couldn’t spell. She sent us on a long goose chase that resulted in us getting more upset. No one else was there to talk too. So finally someone else came to work that could speak better English. She gave me the exit number, the street in front of the service road and a mall close by. All that information helped us find it. So we arrived finally.

The room was clean, and while the building itself was older, it was well maintained and I was very comfortable staying there. I would stay again!

Sink wouldn't drain correctly and we had to hold the lever down on the toilet for it to flush. House keeping didn't knock nor announce themselves and just opened the door at 10:30am when check out is 11am, thank goodness we had the top lock on and it stopped them bc my daughter was in the middle of getting dressed!!! Will not return.

Need updates

Our room had a weird smell, like a stinky guest was in the room before us. The mattresses were unbelievably hard and so uncomfortable.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The remodel is very nice.

Worked from the hotel while the fam was at a hockey tournament. Perfect place to set up.

Breakfast was okay, otherwise excellent people and room condition.

Staff was good. Toilet in room would not flush entirely and the front desk did give me a plunger to plunge the toilet. After a few minutes of trying to get toilet to flush properly, I went back to front desk and they did relocate my wife and me to another room

The room is very clean. The people were extremely nice. The only thing that I didn’t care for was the floor plan and I don’t think that they can avoid it but between the bed and the wall wall wall and what’s up against the wall, there’s not much walk room it was fine for me, but I am a slender woman my son who is a little bit bigger had a little bit difficulty.

The great ratings were not accurate in my opinion. Place was really run down and we were the only car in the large parking lot at 6:00 pm on a Friday night . We checked out and went elsewhere. Lost $131 bucks but was worth it.

Not happy w our stay. Our room was not made up after first night. Asked for clean towels next morning, and they were never received. Breakfast was only fair, soggy biscuits. Lock on outside door in back was not secure. Toilet did not flush properly, had to hold the handle down til finished. Problems w TV.Just not a good stay.

very nice and clean property. beds were very comfy. parking, a breeze. check-in was quick and easy; employee was friendly and welcoming. the gentleman that works the breakfast area was very pleasant and helpful - he went above and beyond...i asked if there was ice in their service area, and he said no but offered to go get me some...we don't see that kind of service anymore. would def return and recommend.

The room itself was ok, but we changed rooms 3 times until we found a bathroom with toilet that flushed instead of constantly running without a full flush.

Room felt very humid and had a musty odor. Ceiling had multiple poorly patched holes. Curtains on the windows would not close.

Our room was quite comfortable although a little on the small side. I chose the hotel because it had a no pets policy (I have allergies) and thus was willing to go to a hotel further off the highway. But the location proved to be good, as there were lots of restaurants to choose from in the immediate vicinity. Service and parking were fine.

I work a contract at the hospital. And this hotel has been nothing short of amazing for me. Especially considering my work schedule, the staff at the desk goes above and beyond to accommodate. The hotel is VERY clean and comfortable. It doesn’t smell like mildew, cigarette smoke or anything else offensive. My only minor issue is that I work overnights, and sleep during the day. I’m assuming they are doing more updating because I heard a lot more construction sounding work next door, above me and right out the door. But other than that this place is the ONLY place I plan to stay at these last 6 weeks

The fan on my heating unit was loud and woke me up about every 20 minutes all night

We enjoyed our stay here. The bed was very comfortable, and the location very convenient. Nice kuerig type coffee maker in the room.

Overall, property condition was good, location was acceptable. House Cleaning personnel friendly. Breakfast selection and offering was at best mediocre. Oatmeal was watered down and cold. It served its purpose for our stay, but we would not stay at this location in the future.

The room reeked of smoke. Housekeeping left our door propped open all day. Would not stay here again.

The desk staff was amazing! She put us in a quiet spot on the 3rd floor!! We were beyond exhausted when we arrived so we appreciated her finding us the perfect spot. However, the bathroom had probably not been cleaned before and the sink drain was plugged up. Took 10 min or so to drain. Breakfast was ok.

Our first room smelled very bad. We switched room. The second room has a moldy very smelly shower curtain. Also the towel holder was barely hanging on the wall. Just did not feel clean.

No lights at the pool, outside doors about ready to fall off. Bathroom floor was sticky when we got to our room. They did mop it when went left to eat.

Stayed in Suite with Jetted Tub. Jets felt great on lower back until you try to sleep in the really firm bed. Could use updates but overall worth trying.

Room was clean and taken care of. Room was very small, had a double queen , if someone sat at table there was no way to move to the other side of room. Rest of property was lacking. No laundry facilities, what they had was broken. Only one working elevator that the inside was always dirty.

I was supposed to have a working refrigerator, but after multiple requests, and promises, I never got one. All you get told is, "I'm sorry.", and there no real resolution. Lots of smoking squatters at this hotel, and breakfast was less than desirable.

Breakfast was terrific. I was surprised at the variety as well as how it cooked. The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. I will return to this hotel in the future

Black mold all over air conditioner vents. We left early for feast of being sick. Bathroom floor and base board was disgusting.

I thought it was great for the price and a good breakfast but a few things that were irritating. There was a portable closet almost in front of the AC so it didn't cool as well as it should. The satellite gave out when watching something way to often. It may seem strange but the toilet was super low I'm not that tall average height but it was low. Would I stay again probably but not in that room and would look at other options before I decided to come back.

The location was great, stayed here while doing an ISU move in. The hotel is decent but has kind of an odd layout. If you have a room that starts in the low numbers you have to walk all the way down the hall from the front desk to get to an elevator to go up and then walk all the way back over to your room. There is a stair case you can walk down instead but that leads you to the parking lot. Also, the a/c did not get very cold and the curtain was broken.

Staff didn't clean my room as I requested seven hours earlier. Shower curtain had mole spores and was not replaced. Staff expected me to change the shower curtain. I was enraged. Don't think I will return !!!

Hotel is under renovation. Check in was timely, Room arrangement could use some attention, furniture was too close to door opening. Otherwise room was well equipped and was able to operate TV with minimal fuss.

The room service was very accommodating and courteous. Did a good job cleaning. However, there was only one small bar of bath soap and insufficient shampoo for a room that accommodates 4 people.

When we arrived we found out that the elevator was out of service. The attendant at the counter explained the situation and was extremely apologetic. I appreciated the way the situation was handled and she was quite kind. Job well done.

Our Tv did not work the whole 2nd and 3rd day. The front desk did not offer to help. I slipped and fell in the pool because the ladder was very slick and did not have tread on the steps for grip. Hit my shin and because very swollen and painful. The front desk person offered a band aide, it was not bleeding, just very swollen.

The hotel was very clean and welcoming staff. But in the middle of the night our TV stations went out and didn't work for the rest of the stay.. But I would recommend the hotel and book again.

Stayed 3 nights at this hotel. Staff was very accommodating when they extended my two night stay to three nights. However, our two queen bed room was very small, our refrigerator didn’t work, and the TV service kept dropping out. We would not stay at this property again.

The property was removed and is a day night transfer. Fronted staff very accommodating and knowledgeable.

My shower curtain was covered in mold. Asked for it to be replacrd while we were gone for the day. It was not. Asked for it again when I got back. I was handed a new curtain and had to ask for them to wait for me to remove the molded one to take with them.

The shower was dirty when we arrived. The hallways were dirty. Room is much smaller than is pictured for the price. The breakfast was cold (oatmeal and bacon), everything else at the breakfast bar was fine. Way too expensive for condition of hotel.

We were greeted by "V" and "Z" very friendly young ladies at the front desk! This was a very last minute passing by reservation to just get some rest after a lond day of traveling. We were not disappointed at all, everything is very clean and comfortable! The room fit our families needs perfectly. Great experience we will definitely stay here again if we are passing through!

Overall environment was very nice and customer service courteous. The breakfast buffet was fresh and had different items for guests to choose from. Check out is quick...the room card can be dropped in sealed boxes on the ground floor! 'Just checked my album, my photos are not so focused...I'll try better next time!

Limited handicap rooms and they gave us a room a long way from the lobby. We didn't like how the hallways were made with upward and downward slopes. This wasn't ideal for someone with mobility issues. My daughter fell in the hallway when trying to walk to our room.

Overall this Hotel met all of our needs....the breakfast was great. The room was a little cramped and hard to walk between the bed and additional furniture. The second floor had something sticky on it that extended from the elevator down the hallway. No major complaints.

My husband and I stopped here to sleep on our road trip. The price was really good. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The layout was different to get to the room. The breakfast was good coffee very average. One serving at a time. I would definitely stay again. Very good price for the property.

The hotel was very nice, safe and well kept. HUGE KUDDOS TO THE STAFF! The breakfast was amazing and fully stocked. The staff were very nice and the room was clean. Only down side was no microwave in the room. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Just needed a night stay in a clean comfortable room. Hot breakfast was included but I can only give it about a 7/10 because the eggs were watery and nothing had any salt. Wasn't a big deal.

The nozzle to the tub was very loose and moved when I touched it. There was a moldy bagel in the bagel holder for free breakfast. The front desk was very friendly.

I would probably not ever reuse this hotel. Our room was super musty and my guess is that is because there is no ventilation in the bathroom. The outside was not cleaned up and the parking felt a bit unsafe, as you had to park all the way around the back. It served a purpose, but I would not return unless I had to.
