SureStay Hotel by Best Western Buena Park Anaheim

HAD A HORRIBLE STAY! The best part of our stay was the housekeeping staff. They were friendly & definitely overworked. But my stay was the worst. I'm handicapped and was given a 3rd floor room which normally would have been ok BUT . . . THE ELEVATOR BROKE 5 TIMES OUT OF OUR 6 NIGHTS STAY. Another guest even got stuck inside when it broke. No microwaves in the room. 1 very tiny trashcan for the bathroom & room combined. It had a very odd smell, not horrible but very distainful.

Location is in a great area.

The hotel room is so old they had yellow old mattress ox spring. no the brown wooden mattress box as pictures we could hear what people where talking and doing during the night. People fighting outside the hotel screaming to each other. As general not as described the counters were wiped for it look like an old cleaning rags.it smell horrible as well So disgusting… I almost left in the middle of the night.

Staff were excellent. Room was clean. Bed was not so comfy. Thin pillows and thin blankets. Breakfast was ok. Fresh fruit, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, toast. Grab and go style. They did have orange juice and apple juice as well. Wish they had a waffle machine and boiled eggs. Parking was good.

The room is not that clean and there’s consistent sound the whole night.

Booked same day, service was great, room was clean and spacious.

I was a little disappointed in their breakfast usually Best Westerns do a better job with their breakfast.

Very clean rooms! Staff is very helpful! Perfect for a beach vacation! Parking can be a little difficult but we did park on the property each and every night

The elevator did not work so we had to lug all our luggage upstairs. Also the breakfast was not really breakfast. The toilet wasn't working and my brother had to come fix it. Also the tub was leaking.

For the price, the facility was fine. Unfortunately the elevator was not working when we were there. Parking was fine, the staff was friendly, the room was very clean. The continental breakfast was very basic but adequate.

The room had a very strong bleach (Clorox) smell that didn’t go away even with windows open and AC on. It irritated our throats and made us feel sick. We reported it to the front desk, but they refused to cancel our 4-night stay. We had to find another hotel that night. Expedia only refunded 2 nights, even though we didn’t stay at all. A full refund would have been fair

very basic place. breakfast was a joke very small bite size items literally. hard bed- no daily service- no wash clothes- no microwave in rooms- No counter space in bathroom or way to hag up towels, parking lot very small- Elevator not working-

I like the area it was in. Needs to be a little more updated and the breakfast needs improvement.

Parking was terrible. More rooms than parking. Handicap was being used by anyone without placards. Breakfast was ok. There was a drunk guy next door causing problems and theowing glass bottles into the main street and parking lot, it wasn't handled accordingly. Room was clean and beds were super comfy.

The hotel did not have hot water, the bed was uncomfortable and I did not trust it enough to have a comfortable night sleep. The lighting is harsh; hence, no lamps, just bright recessed lights.

Do to the govt. shutdown of the airlines i was not able to make the trip and they would not refund my hotel.

Bed was not comfortable the Mattress was severely sunk in. Parking was terrible. There are not enough parking spaces for rooms.

Room was dirty. Noticeable stains on the bed. Debris all over the floors. Sketchy elevator. Pool is in the front by the street. Would not recommend.

Breakfast was at 7 am but I never even seen it. I called in for towels and toilet paper we had none and they said we had to wait in the morning. It was clean and quiet no issues there. Bed was comfortable.

The Room was clean and staff was friendly. The only negative thing was we were going to stay somewhere else becuse they had no hot tube so we stayed here and the hot tube was not hot at all could not get in. We talked to staff and said it don't get hot.

This quite literally the worst mf place I have ever stayed at. Some hooker was soliciting the lot and her pimp and her fighting then they look at ME I’m in fear for my life over here spent an hour here went over to the Hilton saved my mf life it’s cheap for a reason

No microwave in room to heat anything , no bathtub only shower , & no breakfast which I thought by staying at a Best Western owned hotel There would at least be a decent continental breakfast which they advertise But none provided , but a few 2 inch croissants Very disappointing!

Cleaning staff Parking , went to breakfast and it was a slice of bread and a mini muffin at 8:30, people smoking right next to the rooms. Overall I wouldn’t stay ever again

Most of the people working here! Couldn’t get room cleaned… housekeeper stalled all day two days ago I told her to clean yesterday, as I waited ALL DAY, I asked her to clean my room And bedding a plus! She’d just say in Spanish Which was in English, don’t know Don’t know Playing dumb! She was rude, after she cleaned my room, I had zero/no toilet paper, no soap- I complained to front desk! Not happily ever after!

My group and I had to sleep in the car. The fact that my reservation got cancelled and I wasn’t told is unbelievable. The man at the front desk lied to my face and did not have any sort of good customer service. There was no effort in getting helped.

I liked that my room was changed after finding a roaches in room 221 I didn't like that there was roaches in the suite

The room smelled like there had been a water leak and had developed a strong smell of mold, caused me to have an allergic reaction and had to leave the room after only one hour.

Sizzler restaurant across the street. Other food options within walking distance. Clean room and very spacious. Family friendly . Beds were very comfortable for me with a bad back. 9 minutes from Knotts Berry Farm, 5 minutes from Medieval Times. Very close to freeway on-ramp. 3 story with elevator and lots of parking. Very friendly check in and out. Recommended.

There was ejaculation all over the chair along with other mystery stains. Rat droppings on the sheets. Everything was sticky. Remote was slimy.

Property was overall okay. It seemed like the room wasn’t entirely cleaned. A good sweep and mop would’ve been nice. I didn’t like having to wipe my feet off before I got into bed. The bathtub had stains and looked like it was recently repaired. There were stains on the bathroom walls, bedroom wood backdrop(frame) and wall behind the tv that could’ve easily been wiped down. The sink didn’t drain all the way, the towel rack literally came off the wall when I removed the towel and the bed wasn’t too comfy. I had asked for more towels and never received them, and when we came back to our room at 11:30pm our keys didn’t work. For the price it was okay but the room is definitely in need of a deep clean. Friendly staffed and easy to find with eating options all the way around. Would stay again if I needed to but overall just okay.

Blankets were torn and the parking lot was full, the breakfast is in the same lobby. The room are outdated. I mean to sleep and shower it was ok but definitely not staying here again. The elevators were broken, if you need a microwave or anything you have to go to the lobby to use it in front of guest. The pool is right in front of the lobby everyone who drives in can see you there was no privacy.

The room looked just like the picture. My family and I were super close to Knott's Berry Farm. Our stay was lovely. The only negative was the continental breakfast wasn’t really all that. Besides that, everything was great.

Check in time was 3pm, room wasn't ready. Finally got our room around 430pm and the room was still gross.

The hotel is in a great location close to an outdoor mall and eateries. There is just pastries, yogurt and fruit for breakfast. The rooms do not have a microwave but do have fridges and a desk.

There was an overpowering bleach smell when we first walked in our room. Tried to use the pool but it was dirty, we did use the jacuzzi but it was not hot, room temperature at best. Stayed in it for 2 hours and consistently turned on the jets but it would still not heat up. I did like the quality of the body wash and shampoo and conditioner.

The staff in the lobby had no idea how to do his job, The hotel was dirty, the floor felt grimy and dusty when I got the room, the bedsheets were already stained, and overall it just wasn’t a pleasant hotel to stay at.

The location was pretty safe, lots of restaurants, market. Very convenient.

The heater was not working and I asked the front desk for extra blankets and they didn’t have any extras. They don’t provide toothpaste or toothbrush. Also breakfast is very limited. I don’t recommend this hotel.

Clean, quit and close to restaurants. Only wish there was softer towels and washcloths offered. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

No hot water for a while to shower

Cheap hotel, we had 2 nights booked after returning from Knotts berry farm our key cards didn’t work and had to get 2 new ones.

Check in person was very nice and quick. The bed was very comfortable. The shower curtain had some stains on it and 3 long black hairs on it. When I asked for extra pillows at the front desk they said housekeeping was gone and they could not get any pillows. The breakfast is just mini muffins, toast and 2 bland cereals. The juice machine was broken. They did not have a trash can in the eating area. Overall just OK.

We got three rooms all smelled bad. One smelled worse, we had to ask for another room because we could not take it. Pool was dirty. Desk chairs were super dirty.

Needing a copy of payment wasnt giving they charged the room and not the deposit on the right card please help

Breakfast was weak, there were no drinks and all they had was cereal and bread and some yogurt and apples. The room was decent but there was some noise outside.

This place is the worst motel i have ever stayed at. The pictures must have been a huge photoshop job to make this place look decent and boy was i shocked when i showed up. There were no bed skirts covering the very yellow box springs. The party that we were with had torn and taped plastic covering their box springs. We had a long black gnarly hair in the room. The water never got hot and took 15 minutes to even warm up then somehow didn't even last through my 15 minute shower. The unmounted air conditioning made it feel like somebody already had broken in and we were next. There was laughing, smoking, screaming and partying til 4am in the parking lot that we could hear as if there was no wall separating us. Seeing a lady leaving the motel property with an ankle monitor and no shoes was the perfect visual for how this place felt. They make you pay in advance then when we left after the first night due to the horrible experience we had I was denied the reimbursement on the rest of the days. Do not stay here ever!

There was no hot water on site, we had to shower using cold water, there was no heater in the rooms (only an old and defective unit). Dirty rooms, not even a single pillow, we asked for pillows and blankets and I can tell you my dog sleeps better, we were provided with $2 dollar disposable pillows. We decided we could not stay with no hot water on site for the second day and the manager rejected to refund us the second night because she said that not having hot water was not an issue for cancelling a reserve, go figure. Anyway we moved to a different hotel on the second night even if that meant losing money as this place is unbereable. Avoid this place at all cost.

The only issue was that there was no iron and there was no shampoo or body wash in the bathroom, the bottles were empty, I had to shower with hand soap

The room is filthy. They did not have cover for the box springs. It looks very yellow. They don’t change bed sheets. We asked for another blanket and they stated that we can only use the blanket that comes with the bed. They only change trash bags and I purposely put the towel on the floor and we came back to the room that night from Disneyland and they hung the same towel that was on the floor. They never change towels. Very disgusting. You can hear everyone talking, laughing. And as far as for Breakfast, they have very limited food. Just muffins, oatmeal in the packet, coffee and that was it. Most of the time, no one’s in the front desk to ask for more condiments. Please book somewhere else and save yourself a hassle.

I was allowed to pay the deposit with Apple Pay the last two times I was here, but they changed the policy on me. I wouldn’t have booked if I had known.

It took 30 minutes for the person to check me in. De mentioned that Hotels.com had not deposited the money according to their computer. The receptionist told me that they were not able to retrieve the funds from Hotels.com so they were not able to let me into the room until that was done. I was a bit frustrated since it was late after a Disney trip and it was 10 o’clock at night I will not be staying here.

Staff was really nice and very accommodating but the only thing is I requested for a make up room service wasn’t clean enough.

Overall was close to the location that we needed to go to. Other than that not many positives. The staff was friendly but did not help at all when I requested for them to contact the room above to quiet down. The walls and floors are super thin so be prepared to hear some noises, couldn’t sleep at all.

This room was ok, but I didn’t like that it says that they provide breakfast and they only had coffee and tiny muffins. Cereal with no milk. So basically they don’t have breakfast.

Hotel gave someone unregistered a key to my room while I was gone

Check in was easy and informative. The room smelled and looked clean but I noticed the pillows were off to the side of the bed and with no pillowcase ls. Upon further inspection 1 of the 4 pillows was clean and had the pillow case under it. The other 3 had yellow stains on them and in had cigarette holes. I called front desk and told hey came right away to replace them but I almost considered leaving but it was already late for me. The room walls had some graffiti on it and the furniture piece that was under the TV was cracked in the corner and and I just hope i do not get charged for it.

Very unsafe

Dude the mattresses didn't even fit the bed. There was no microwave. USB charging ports in the outlets didn't work. $138? Never again.

Check in was horrible! We got there at 5pm and they didn’t have a room available(check in was at 3pm). They didn’t offer a discount or coupons for local eateries or anything for the inconvenience. All of the employees barely speak English, so it’s hard to get anything accomplished. The room was okay, the office chairs were broken, so you couldn’t sit on them (those were the only chairs in the room). The towel rack in the bathroom was broken and one of the pillows had a blood stain on the actual pillow, not the pillow case. The free breakfast was a joke, it was literally sliced bread, mini muffins, and packets of oatmeal(but no water to make it). Their juice machine was broken and the coffee was disgusting. I would not stay here again.

It was close to shops and restaurants

The place was clean and we only stayed for one night. But, we didn’t expect the 100 hold fee which threw us off. We should’ve researched it before booking but other than, it was a good stay for one night.

Don’t like at all

Terrible service we expected better quality and care specially for the price. When we walked in we noticed the blankets were so thin like sleeping with a sheet called the office and asked for Sri blankets because it was freezing he told me no we don't have any he also described the breakfast that would be provided it was nowhere near what he had described. There was Footprints of shoes in the bathtub and hair it was disgusting I do not recommend

The rooms were very clean and the check in people were very kind! Everything went well, there is just very limited breakfast options.

Coffee machine was out of order. Orange juice out of order. Apple juice machine out of order. Muffins and breakfast in general was just horrible. A family was arguing/fighting in the room below us until 2 in the morning. Plus the traffic accidents/noise. Just a horrible experience.

It was ok. Seemed like it was a renovated old Motel 6, or something. Our stay was fine. You can see that they put a lot of money into it. Overall good.

The rooms are nice and very clean, but hotel front area is very ghetto. Elevator is super slow too and feels unsafe.

We have passes for Knotts Berry Farm so we are always looking for hotels close by. We did have to take a lift, but it was only six dollars each way to the park. This hotel is got exceptional, cleanliness and great guest service. The continental breakfast is somewhat limited, but served its purpose. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and the ease of checking in checking out and feeling that we were in a safe location for our family.

Just double check your room when you check in... i stayed 3 nights and found a thong that did not belong to me in between the mattress and headboard on the last day...

Space privacy customer service

The room wasn’t bad the lady at the check in was so rude which just made me feel unwelcome from the beginning!

The rooms are clean the mattress are old and the breakfast selection is horrible.

Good decent decent rooms

It was a short stay one night only and it was perfect just what I needed.

This hotel was super dirty. We checked our first room and the blankets and sheets and stains. There was a computer chair and he had a big stain on it. The mattresses were gross. It felt like an old rundown I felt just laying in the bed. Breakfast was not even good. They only had a couple of muffins and a little bit of cereal. Do not stay here

I didn't like that I had a room facing the street lots of street noise. The continental breakfast was not much too it. Did not care for that. The place was nice and clean, I liked that.

We liked how however tv remote didn’t work and some people kept slamming doors.

Becareful with the management here, i reserved 4 nights here. Upon trying to check in i was told that my guest was not allowed to stay there. Keep in mind i never actually checked in no security deposit. Spoke with the manager and she told me that they would give me a refund. Couple of days passed by and i called customer service regarding the refund, they called the hotel and told me that they were not going to refund me because i had check in already. Which was complete a lie.

This hotel was excellent all the way around. The place was clean as a whistle and the staff friendly and helpful even going out of their way to help on one occasion. About the only drawback I could see - and it didn't happen to us - was there could be a shortage of parking if the hotel was full. It even had a number of charging stations for EV's

The breakfast was, eh. The ev charging stations are not free and didn't even work for half my stay. The beds/pillows weren't very comfortable, and housekeeping could've made up the bed a little bit better. But the room was a good size, had a fridge and everything you need. The hottub outside was lukewarm though, but the pool was open. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. That was definitely the highlight of my stay! Overall, for the affordable price of this hotel, it was good! Location was close to food and freeway as well. I would stay here again.

We couldn’t sleep the A/C wasn’t working and to top it off it smelled like mold really bad smell. We always check for bed bugs before we settle in and we found the mattress stained with blood and other stains so we decided to checkout the next day ASAP.

Towels in the room were dirty and had hair stuck on there , no dresser just an old cabinet with the doors missing and some drawers inside. Breakfast is very limited , wake up early cause once it’s out they won’t refill anything. Tried going to the pool with my kids and the gate was locked went to the front desk to ask what time the pool opened which was 9am and the guy up front said I’ll be right out to open and we ended up waiting outside for 20 min and he never opened it up. We checked out 15 min before 11am and when we left the pool still had a lock on it .

Friendly staff. The room we were in was very nice…the paint job was fantastic. Not slapped on. It was nice cutting in around the door frame. Very nice place. Only gave 4 stars because I don’t give 5’s unless there was something special.

Some dirty items in the room.

The hotel itself was clean. The mattress we had in our room was lumpy and uncomfortable, made for a rough nights sleep. Thankfully, we only needed a one night stay. The front desk staff was really nice and parking was easy. We didn’t take advantage of the complimentary breakfast.

The staff is rude here, the fridge doesn't cool, there is no microwave in the room but we were told there would be. The bathtub is dirty, and the pool is only 4'6" deep. Overall this place was a big disappointment. As Knott's season pass holders we have plans of returning many times. But we Won't be booking here again.

They did the vary minimum for everything

The room was remodeled and fairly nice for the price. The pool was very cold. The staff didn’t provide extra towels.

Staffs never cared. They said “I will talk to the cleaners tomorrow”. I said “the cockroaches are now in my bathroom” Noisy. You can hear every stepping, dragging a chair, a luggage moving. The worst experience in my life!

Floor was dusty, and room had a weird smell.
