DoubleTree by Hilton San Francisco Airport

Airport shuttle wait was 1 hour Asked for wake up call and did NOT get it. I am a flight attendant so this was important for me. Front desk never answered the phone 1 single time. I had to go down stairs to talk to them.

Airport shuttle service was very convenient.

Your staff is amazing from the ladies that clean the rooms to the maintenance guys, front desk and dining room staff truly AMAZING!!!!!

They don’t have curtains covering window. The curtains covers the wall. Window had a sheer curtain. Light from parking lot lit up the room all night. We had a horrible night sleep and the sunrise lit the room up even more by 5 am. We were exhausted and had a long day of travel ahead of us. We booked this room to be close to airport and to get more sleep. We got no sleep so we’ll stay home next time and drive to airport the day of travel. I’ll never stay at that doubletree Hilton again. It was awful and one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had traveling.

We arrived early and had a drink in the bar. It was pleasant. The room was clean and we had breakfast in the restaurant which was really good. We took the shuttle to and from the airport and it was very convenient. All in all it was a pleasant stay.

No instructions for exiting with car at gate. Had to go back to counter. Very good service from Jesus in restaurant...we had limited time and he hustled our food to us.

Parking was real issue, filled up with evening event. Overflow parking required walk and through poorly lit area to doors also poorly lit. Event parking should have been required to use overflow so guests could return to available spaces. Back of building parking needs lighting.

I like the 24 hour shuttle. That was the benefit. The room was clean and quiet. The bed comfortable. I got up for my flight at 4:30. A cup of coffee in the lobby would have been really nice. The prices for water and snacks were between 4 and six dollars. Outrageous.

The hotel was clean, exceptionally comfortable and had a great bar and restaurant to service it. The staff were amazing, friendly and polite - it really gave you that personal feel. Location was perfect, a free shuttle bus and on the bayside trail for walking, not to mention views of the airport runway. Nothing, it was a perfect stay.

My colleagues & I stayed here for 1 night after leaving a conference in downtown San Francisco & flying out the next day. Positives were its proximity to the airport, spacious room with comfortable bed, & bar (the bartender Miguel was very attentive).

Don’t stay in this hotel if you can help it. We only did bc it’s close to SFO for a morning flight. Our shower was broken to the point that the handle fell off and they had to come TWICE to fix it. The food in the restaurant was inedible.

Fine place to stay.

On this stay, we got a room on the other side of the hotel so the airport noise wasn’t as bad. We could still hear the aircraft taking off, but not as loud.

When you arrive at an airport hotel after along day of traveling, the only thing you want is a good nights sleep. Unfortunately, at this hotel that’s not going to happen. The extremely loud noise of the jets taking off was nonstop all night long. Most airport hotels that I’ve stayed at over the years have tried to mitigate the noise by using soundproofing or positioning the hotel properly. That’s not the case here. To add insult to injury, the hallway outside my room was full of incredibly loud with early morning traffic. Overall, it’s a very nice hotel. Just not for sleeping.

Breakfast choices were fine. The hotel is a "no cash" policy that makes it difficult to conduct minor transactions. Staff were having a hard time processing payment for coffee, they were unavailable most of the time at the coffee station.

It was a nice hotel to stay in. My family and I had a great time. It was clean and only a 25 min drive to the city. Only thing was: there is no pool. We were sad for that!

My only complaint is that the bathroom smelled of urine which finally dissipated during my stay.

having stayed in another different brand hotel not too far away just three weeks ago, I was absolutely amazed at the difference between that one and the Doubletree. The Doubletree was absolutely excellent all around. No problem whatsoever. The staff at the front desk and also in the restaurant were extremely good. The room was very clean and functional. It was such a pleasure after the other one.

I stayed at another hotel near SFO recently and this one was leagues better in every way. Simply put, think this hotel would be very difficult to beat on $ vs quality ratio.

Well first we had a dirty towel in our room. I told housekeeping. Second is the walls are super thin. You can hear every conversation next door. Room is very outdated and bed was ok. View was beautiful and a nice lobby. It was fun to walk over to top golf too. I was trying to pick a nice hotel but was disappointed. I just feel like for the price it should be at least updated.

The AC is in the room makes huge noice, you can’t sleep if it turned on due to the noice.. you can’t sleep if it turned off due to the lack of air circulation. Overall it’s sleepless time in this room

Although I only stayed one night I would definitely go stay again. It’s a little pricey for one night, but it was worth my stay.

The staff was incredibly courteous, kind, and helpful I did not see one person without a smile on their face. Instead of going into Burlingame for dinner, we stayed at the bar due to the fact that Michael was incredibly personable and attentive, he also assured us that the food would be beyond our expectations. I have been in the restaurant industry for 30+ years, he was spot on regarding the quality of the food served. The room was absolutely spotless, the beds incredibly comfortable. I am not a morning person and the fact that breakfast was served until 11 and check out was at noon, was beyond exceeding my expectations! Obviously the cookies made my heart sing and I Absolutely loved that instead of pushing bottled water for sale, you had the water stations!!! This is The Only Place we will stay, not only when flying out of SF, but also when attending Giants and Warriors games! Thank You for all of the attention to detail while at an affordable price!

The room overall was not cleaned very well; built up dust on many items such as nightstand lights, coffee tray and on dresser oily/greasy cleaner used which made it and feel disgusting! this hotel fitness room opens 24 hours .7days a week. My room is next door to it. For the two nights when I stayed ,every day someone was excised around 3 AM. If someone run on the treadmill will wake you up.you eventually might be able to fall back to sleep,the weight training stuff will keep you awake-when they drop,it’s loud and shaking plus irregular patterns.

They over booked the rooms so we did not receive the room we booked. Disappointed.

The room was just ok a bit outdated and the bathroom had a stain on the floor. The sink made a gurgling noise every time someone ran the water or flushed. I found the walls to be thin. The pillows were great and the view of the bay was nice! It was fine for our short trip.

Everything was great! We asked to be switched to another room due to sanitary reasons and that was no problem. New room was fantastic, only thing that we would suggest looking at is the shower head - when turning on the shower, the shower head expelled this high pitched noise the entire time while taking a shower. But im sure thats a quick fix.

Room smelled musty for 2 full days . I noticed the room had a loose window I did not notice til this morning so it was freezing all night. .I couldn’t get the heater to stay warm enough. I barely slept . I don’t typically complain about a stay and don’t think it’s the entire hotel as much as it was just a bad room .

Most of the outlets did not work, the shower gel was empty and had a few drops, no microwave in the room, the lobby one was so small that we had to heat things in small batches, was told parking will not be chaeged at checkout found I was charged. Checkout was at noon and the room service folks are knocking at the door at 9:00 even though the sign was on…I could go on

Front desk was wonderful; shuttle drivers talking loudly about 2:20 am woke us up; shuttle driver yelling at our uber driver as he loaded our luggage was very rude, telling us he had a schedule and Ubers aren’t allowed to park by the doors to pick us up. Shuttle driver then yelling-don’t talk to me like that- honestly the argument lasted longer than loading us to leave. No hand soap in bathroom- was told none delivered because of the Holiday?

She was a young white woman, and her behavior was clearly discriminatory towards Asians. She was talking to another woman behind her while serving me, and she definitely needs to learn customer service again. The suitcase tags were left lying on the desk, and she didn't even give me a copy of the ticket... I was furious about this incident, but since I was traveling with my family, I held back. If I had been alone, I would have called the manager and filed a complaint.

Very quiet room

Room was clean and beds were confortable. Jessica from the front desk was awesome! However, the bedside power sockets were loose and not functional. The carpet was too thick to roll spinner luggages. But the main pain point was parking. It was such a hassle finding a parking space. Not a good experience for car renters coming from a long flight and all you want is to lay your head down and rest.

The standout features of my stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton were the prompt and friendly customer service, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the beautifully decorated lobby. I also appreciated the variety of movie channels available for entertainment, and the experience was perfectly topped off with the amazing chocolate and walnut cookie.

Bathroom door would not close for privacy. Shower was not working properly.

Hotel was good overall. Front desk staff were very helpful. Easy for guests to misread booking so Hilton needs to make it clear that there are two Hilton Hotels within 500 yards. One is a Double Tree Hilton but easy to make a mistake when taking the airport shuttle. Breakfast buffet was not good value for money, scrambled eggs, link sausages and potatoes were not kept warm. Simple reason, they use deep pans so food on top gets cold quickly. Obviously very convenient to SFO with reliable frequent shuttle.

This is for only 37 North - the hotel restaurant. They don't answer the phone, they advertise room service which isn't available, their recorded message when calling states they are accepting reservations for thanksgiving - it was dec 15th, their menu is deceptive at best - Listing Impossible Burger $26. It's not an Impossible Burger - it was an inexpensive frozen patty. They get around this complaint by adding quotes around Impossioble

Hotel staff was wonderful and accommodating. The made up for the not so wonderful restaurant and falsely advertised room service option. They were consummate professionals who understand hospitality service standards and I appreciate all their efforts in providing the best service they could.

Couldn't get out of the parking lot

I'll be honest: I had a pretty bad stay here. As a Hilton Honors member, I'm kind of shocked it was such a dismal experience. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is that the staff did everything in their power to make it better. Upon check-in I was told the room I reserved weeks prior had been given away, so I was upgraded to a suite. That "suite" was a huge corporate meeting/bedroom combo, which was right above the gym. At 4:30 AM, the someone was dropping weights and didn't stop until the sun came up. Then, as I was checking out the toilet flooded all on its own. Luckily, Edwin at the restaurant took care of me at breakfast, Corey addressed all my concerns upon checkout, and Khanh followed up with a text to see if there was anything DoubleTree could do to make it right. That's service. Would I stay here again? Probably not. However, the staff made it right and that's service you hardly get anywhere these days.

I had to wait for the airport shuttle for 35 mins, it was supposed to be running every 15 minutes. Waited outside in the cold, then arrived at the room, and the room was 50 degrees. It took 2,5 hours for the AC to bring the room temperature to 72. I got sick...

They were out of parking due to an event, it was disappointing but they had parking at top golf.

A crazy person was yelling at 3 am in the morning outside my room on the 3rd floor and banging in someone’s door , I called the front desk no answer, this lasted over 20 min I couldn’t go back to bed and felt the security in this hotel really is lacking , no keys access any floor , no security guard . No one at the front desk answered ! This hotel needs renovation asap and upgrade in every level !!!!

This is the best hotel we've stayed at near SFO, and we've tried a lot of them. Comfortable bed, lots of activity downstairs and a fun vibe. Starbucks in center of huge lobby that is a nice place to hang out. Best ever breakfast with friendly service.

I loved the convenience of the airport shuffle, it’s a perfect stay for a business trip. Plenty of seating options in the lobby and ease to and from the airport. Downside was my fridge, lamps, and tv were connected to a power strip that seemed to have a shortage and when I called to get it looked at, they moved it from one plug to another (in the same outlet) but the TV still didn’t work. Thankfully I was only there for one night and didn’t NEED the tv.

It took around an hour to check at the hotel standing at the front desk because of some issues between Double Tree and Hotels.com. I never received an adequate explanation for the issue or a sincere apology from the hotel who just blamed Hotels.com, and I certainly never heard from Hotels.com. the room itself was fine and had no issues but the service was not what i would have expected from a Doubletree.

This place is fantastic! We were delayed and arrived very late but once we got the shuttle everything was great. It's all the little touches - fresh water bottles in the room. A proper handheld shower - like home. The bed was amazing with the perfect firmness and super comfortable pillows and quilt - wish i could stay here for a week. Thank you to all the hard working staff who obviously take pride in their jobs. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Efficient check in and nice hotel. But there were groundkeepers using loud equipment on a Sunday at 6am!

Primary issue was that I was in room 108 (first floor) and my window was right outside a walkway and missing a drape so I could not prevent others seeing directly into my room through the sheer curtain. This made me uncomfortable as a woman traveling alone. Put up the missing drape. Gratuity added to absolutely every service in the hotel including the "free breakfast."

This room was good, with a nice view of the bay. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed we’ve slept in, it would have been hard to get up, except there were soccer fields next to the hotel and there were children screaming from about 7:00 am on!

Stay was ok except people had large dogs in room few doors down barking all night and morning. Called front desk multiple times and yet barking continued. Experience was Excellent! Staff Phenomanol! Transportation Service to airport was a great for transporting family to Terminal! AND THE COOKIES!! Only thing preventing 5 stars was having to pay for parking at the Hotel.

The staff at check-in was wonderful, beds comfortable, and water pressure in the shower was great. Con: We had trouble getting off property several times as their gate was having internet issues.

All good except the $35/ day for parking and charging everyone for breakfast. Seems you can’t even get coffee for free without demanding it. Nice place but if you are sensitive to cost, you’ve been warned.

Complicated and long check in process after18 hours of travel with staff who did not seem to care except for Thanh.

I was given a room that had half the room taken up by gym equipment. I called down to the front desk to ask if by mistake the room was used as storage and was told it was a fitness room. Weird! I know no one that would request a fitness room. It was not disclosed that the room I booked was like this. It was past midnight when I checked in, so I didn't want to deal with a different room. Also the bathroom vanity had chipped, water damage. Buyer beware, Cheap rooms DO NOT come with breakfast. When I asked about it, the host looked up my room and said, it was not an option for me. Never heard of that one. Either the hotel offers continental or not. To do it as an added fee is weird. I booked with Amex too.

The room was not fully cleaned prior to me checking in. Had trash from food around the bed. The shower was not clean. They charged me twice for parking!

We got in late but we were able to eat at the restaurant in the hotel. Good food and great staff. Overall great experience here. And very easy to get to by car and then to the airport.

I had a nice stay: staff was friendly and helpful.. The room was good. I did not use the wifi or airport shuttle. Important to note they do chage for parking and the breakfestyou need to pay for it not free. They have a bar, and nice sitting area in the lounge

Thank you to front desk manager Phan, who quickly helped me check into the correct room after I went back down to inform front desk. Manager Phan helped me right away after noticing me wait in line after I just checked in.

Staffs are friendly and helpful

Front desk staff always welcomes guests with a smile on their face and that’s great! They are very helpful and accommodating. Hotel is clean and well located.

They put me in the noisiest room in the hotel. The shuttle drivers loaded and unloaded right in front of my window. I heard the roar of every jet taking off. I thought breakfast was complimentary but I was handed a bill for $35. I won’t be returning.

I had no hot water for my morning shower. I was in a rush to get an early morning flight so there was no one to complain to

Had a faulty mini fridge. Was checked within an hour and quickly changed out. The immediate area has a wonderful walking trail along the water with a couple restaurants within walking distance. A quick ride share away is a fun, bustling area with loads of shopping and restaurants.

Everything was great! Bed was comfortable and everything. The only struggle I had was the shuttle. I waited 30 min and I’ve seen other bus shuttles from other hotels come and go. Another issue I had was the bathroom sink’s faucet very little water came out. Barely any water. Other than that the service great. The gentleman who checked me in was very nice

Excellent in everything

I liked the area it was very quiet. The use of the Fitness area at no extra charge was a huge benefit. It was withing a short distance to had my friend pick me up to get to anywhere I wanted to go.
