Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating its proximity to the airport, cleanliness, and affordability, but expressing dissatisfaction with the quality of customer service, lack of breakfast options, and issues with room amenities such as air conditioning and bathroom facilities.
- Proximity to the airport
- Cleanliness and affordability
- Poor customer service
- Lack of breakfast options and issues with room amenities
- 5/5
Clean rooms overall, helpful staff, great parking, genuinely just a straight forward hotel that gets the job done with no worries at all. 8/10👍
- 5/5
Staff remembers me and all are sweet
- 5/5
Older property, but well maintained. Close to airport. Convenient shuttle to and from airport. Clean rooms.
- 3.5/5
Convenient, friendly staff, view of SFO planes landing A little dated
- 2/5
Dirty room. Towels were dirty as well. Bed was super hard and uncomfortable.
- 2/5
The location is great and the view of the bay was beautiful but the room didn’t have AC and the dresser had a men’s urinal bottle inside the drawer which was gross.
- 3/5
Great location with a beautiful walkway nearby.
- 3/5
The hotel was conveniently located near the airport. However, the cleanliness of the room was not satisfactory. The floor was sticky, and there was a noticeable moldy odor.
- 5/5
Location was great for airport travel, it was nice to have a good trail to walk along the water. Could watch jets take off and land. Felt safe. The room was good for us and our dog, shower hot, bed was comfortable. Free parking was great and offset the dog fee. Man at the front desk was nice. We would stay again
- 5/5
Location near the airport, has free airport shuttle service. Comfortable bed, third floor is top floor. Very helpful staff.
- 5/5
Nice staff, great amenities, and the airport shuttle service made everything super convenient. Had a comfortable stay and would definitely come back! Unlike “luxury” hotels in Vegas, this business has both a fridge and a microwave, super convenient!!
- 5/5
Check in and out is a breeze. The staff is nice. The room was clean. Only complaint is the that ac didn’t work as well as it should. I only stayed 1 night and this place served its purpose. I would stay here again. Best price for the hotels around the area.
- 5/5
Really nice and convenient place to stay at
- 4/5
Parking was easy and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 2/5
Staff was not so friendly. Specially the day crew. Prepare yourself to be disappointed, specially if you travel a lot. Don’t set your bar too high. They try to set their price like other places minus the good customer service.
- 2/5
I selected this inn because of the high ratings and was shocked when i saw the condition of the hotel. During the week I was there, my normal hotel was $700 a night and i got this one for around $250 and thought it was a deal cause it was ocean view. The bathroom light nonstop flickered the whole time, the airport noise was so loud they left ear plugs on the night stand. Tried to turn on heat and it was louder than the jets taking off. No ac or heat without loud noises. If you are sensitive to noises and need ac or heat when its hot or cold, find another spot. If you are on a budget and just need a place to crash, this may be for you. View was beautiful!
- 5/5
Very Good option, Clean, neat, comfortable
- 4/5
Yes Parking was easy
- 5/5
This was a last minute booking after returning from Thailand for our honeymoon and we were very pleased with our entire stay! The airport shuttle was wonderful and convenient (make sure to tip the driver!) The Bay was directly out our patio door and we had incredible sunrises and sunsets each day. There’s a walk path behind the hotel and it is just a quick drive into San Fransisco. Loved the location! Lots of airplanes coming and going, but didn’t bother us at all. Unless you’re outside, you can’t hear them. Our room was clean and bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly. Would definitely stay again!
- 4/5
If you're looking for comfort, it does its job. It has shuttle service to/from SFO and if you use the local shuttle services, the stops are down or across the main street on Old Bayshore.
- 3.5/5
Good
- 3/5
The front door was not sealed well when closed. It had a significant gap between the door and frame at the bottom corner. Both lamps beside the bed would not stay like they should as they tend to turn upside down. The shower had sand in it and was not cleaned well. The bed was alright. Would not stay again
- 5/5
Awesome place , very quiet , super clean , real nice people
- 4/5
Super close to the airport, a gas station to refuel the rental car before return, several restaurants available within a short distance and decently priced. Also right on the water so if you stay, and plan ahead of time, ask for a room with an water view! Walking trail behind hotel and dog friendly. Only draw back was you could hear airplanes arriving you are so close to the airport. But it didn't impact our sleep!
- 1/5
Tried charging for 30min early check in
- 4/5
Reasonably timed shuttle to the airport. The room was clean but not spotless. I’ll stay again.
- 5/5
Good place i enjoyed the view
- 1/5
Wow, this is the noisiest most uncomfortable place I have ever stayed. Heard every step and movement from the upstairs room above us. The place has no sound proofing whatsoever, heard every child crying, every car door slamming in the parking lot most of the night.
- 4/5
Shuttle was convenient and easy.
- 4/5
Easy parking staff were nice there provided shampoo and conditioner were horrible
- 5/5
Yes
- 3/5
The smell im the room was terrible. Pretty shabby overall
- 5/5
Very easy thank you Vagabond
- 2/5
Overall, the cleanliness and upkeep were far below what I expected, and it made it hard to feel comfortable during my stay. The only positive thing I can say is that the staff was very friendly and polite.
- 5/5
Excellent service and rooms
- 3/5
Aging property with nice staff. I would not recommend for more than a one night stay. I was put off by the number of people loitering in the parking lot playing loud music. A female would find this concerning.
- 5/5
I have been a repeat customer at Vagabond Burlingame for about 2 years. The rooms are so clean and the staff is amazing. My stay last night and in February 2026 was so pleasant because of the excellent customer service provided by Jana, Gio, and Natalie. Excellent location and great views. I will always be a repeat customer to this establishment in Burlingame!
- 2/5
The lady at the front desk refused to give me a plastic spoon and insisted that I buy something from them in order to get it. So strange - one star on hospitality.
- 4/5
Good choice for a layover hotel. Free shuttle to SFO
- 3/5
It was good stay
- 4/5
Loved the views of the planes landing and taking off from SFO. 2 great restaurants right next to us with a lovely cafe called the apron just across the street. Really quiet area. Room was ok. Could use a little updating. Moving the screen door was a little tricky as it kept getting stuck. Key did not work the second day but helpful staff were right there. Love the staff!!!
- 4/5
We were surprised that anything to eat was expensive and not covered by our motel rate.
- 4/5
If you don’t put your do not disturb sign out cleaning staff will try to enter without knocking
- 5/5
Near the airport
- 2/5
The bathtub was very dirty, and had a rubber mat placed on top of the dirty bathtub surface. There was splatter on the wall behind the bathroom door - not sure if it was feces or blood. There were pee dribbles dried on the floor - when wiped up with damp TP, it was yellowish, so I'm not thinking it was a cleaning agent or water. A towel also had lipstick on it, so I couldn't even trust the linens. The uncleanliness grossed me out so I did not stay the second night of my reservation. I went elsewhere. On the second day during my stay, I took a picture before I left of my things. When I returned during lunch to get my luggage and my sandals (Merrill) were gone. So someone helped themselves to the only thing that wasn't locked inside of my suitcase. I regret staying here and would not recommend it. I wasn't looking for luxury at this price, but clean is a baseline expectation.
- 1/5
Poor house keeping Laundry room was not clean
- 5/5
Extremely efficient airport shuttle with a courteous driver
- 3/5
Room is dated, furniture old and worn looking, not as pictured in advertisement. Airplane noise was really loud even with windows closed. Could not get air conditioner to work.
- 5/5
Everything was great except the heat in the room wasn’t working
- 3/5
The place need more care and better care
- 3/5
Property was a bit noisy. Lost wifi for about a day, so needed to work from an adjacent hotel and ultimately switched my flight to leave early. On the positive, staff were friendly, and walk along the water was nice to have access to.
- 4/5
Good shuttle service to airport. Basic no-frills hotel.
- 4/5
Clean, comfortable, basic room. Suited our one night stop. Helpful, efficient, friendly staff. If you don’t mind walking near busy roads (with pedestrian sidewalks and crossings) it’s approx 30 mins to walk to the Royal Donut Cafe in Burlingame- great donuts, coffee, freshly pressed orange juice and a wide range of breakfast choices. You can walk part of the way along a nice waterfront path.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms, all the conveniences needed to make the stay great!
- 4/5
Shuttle starts earlier than some others which is good if you have a very early flight.
- 4/5
It’s an older property but the try hard to make the stay as best as possible.
- 4/5
Thank you!
- 4/5
Small room
- 5/5
The property was nice. The staff was very friendly.
- 1/5
Shuttle bus was ok, 45 min waiting. The main thing was its very old building, the AC was terribly aloud, a lot more noisy than airport airliners. Last night the front desk personnel was pretty unfriendly too when I asked weather we could switch a room because we were being put the room right next to the front desk, a lot of traffic passing through, he answered in a very impolitely tone. However we would not come back this hotel again and not recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Got my Bay View room as requested. Restaurants near by. Five minute walk to nice bar at Marriott. You will probably need the ear plugs provided by hotel.
- 4/5
It would have been 5 star if the bed wasn’t worn-out and If the bathroom was constantly on throughout the night (motion sensor didn’t work).
- 5/5
Hospitality was great. The room was clean. Great place to stay. I will come back here again.
- 3/5
Pictures made it seem way better than it actually was.
- 1/5
Receptionist was very rude
- 5/5
Lived this place for couple of reasons. Was close to airport, free parking, pets only cost per $25 staff was very nice. Only issue was ac took a long time to work if at all. Other than that was fine
- 5/5
Great location for the airport
- 4/5
Clean and quiet.
- 5/5
Close to SF close to shops restaurant
- 4/5
Room was very clean, staff was helpful. I had an excellent experience and i will definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Yes
- 3/5
Barking dogs early in the morning woke us up. Will not stay in dog hotels again. Room and location was fine. The usual stink of weed permeates the ventilation system which is really annoying too.
- 5/5
Clean room, nice and quiet, love it
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
The area felt safe and quiet. Definitely I’d love to stay here again. I recommend this place. ❤️❤️
- 1/5
I stay at Vagabond Burlingame at least 2 times a month for the last 2-3 years. The staff there especially Gio is wonderful, but the Assistant Manager, Anna is horrible. She is never willing to make the extra effort to help customers. Never has she tried to tend to small requests. i never put a review but last night’s experience deserves one. I am the type of customer who makes the bed, sorts soiled towels, and takes perishable trash to the outside bins- checking out leaving rooms really clean. All Anna could say to a long time customer after making a request was, “I think you were banned here”. That would be impossible. This is an unfortunate experience.
- 1/5
Smelled like People smoked in the building it was disgusting
- 5/5
I booked a last minute trip with my two daughters for the weekend. Decent price, nice location, but most importantly... I felt safe. The room was clean, lots of towels and the view was great. Also, on those 2 days I was there, Friday and Saturday I met 3 of the nicest workers at the front desk. My only advice is bring your own pillows. lol But If I am ever in the area, I would book again. Many thanks!
- 3/5
Had a funny smell when entering.
- 4/5
Room was clean and. Lose to the airport.
- 5/5
I always sleep good here. Comfy pillows and is pretty quiet!
- 4/5
Yes room was cleaned. I appreciated tgat
- 3/5
The pillow need to be change they smell like sweat
- 3/5
The room was clean. The view was amazing! The place itself is REALLY OLD and it shows...and the room doesn't have a hair dryer, offer toothpaste (you can buy at front desk). The soap for showers is a gel that doesn't foam up really. Doesn't have a full length mirror in room. Elevator is TINY!!! Parking is very limited. And worst two things, were we put the AC on lowest it would go and the room never got cold. It was hot during night. BED IS HORRIBLY HARD. Pillows are super soft and fluffy. Sleeping was rough. You can hear the planes but that didn't bother us - its the bed that is WAY too hard. No bounce. We ended up leaving the balcony door open all night so we could get some cooler air in.
- 4/5
Rooms in need of a refresh, but are comfortable.
- 3/5
Staff can be more friendly and helping. Cannot turn off the light in the balcony whole night. In general ok experience thou.
- 1/5
Room did not have temperature controls . Room was dusty . Had to get new keys every time we returned to the room. It was not a good experience .
- 4/5
Given its proximity to SFO, San Francisco, the peninsula and silicon Valley, its a tremendous value. You will not find a balcony room just steps from the bay for this price, if one even exist. Now, if you get a Bayside room, you must be a lover of the roar of airplane engines on takeoff. If you aren't, don't book a bayside room. The rooms are dated, but serviced everyday. I would definitely book again and to management, please invest in updated furnishings and brighten the rooms.
- 5/5
Clean and friendly staff. Good coffee in the lobby. Nice view of the bay
- 5/5
Friendly, and honest
- 4/5
Clean room, comfortable bed and pillows, good tv channels. Nice bathroom amenities. Beautiful view. Enjoyed my stay.
- 5/5
Clean and friendly staff no complaints
- 4/5
location
- 1/5
The room was dirty when we got there we told the front desk and we didn’t feel comfortable staying there anymore. Unfortunately he didn’t do or offer anything to make it better but just changed us to a different room somewhere where we didn’t have what we requested at the beginning so we lost our money and left the hotel.
- 1/5
Upon arrival, I discovered small hairs throughout the bedding, as well as a yellow stain on the sheets, suggesting they had not been laundered. Additionally, there was hair and a dead insect on the floor. Due to these conditions, I felt extremely uncomfortable and was forced to use my own blankets and clean the bed myself just to stay the night. I have taken photographs of these issues and can provide them upon request. Given the lack of cleanliness and the discomfort this caused, I am requesting a full refund for my stay. I look forward to hearing from you soon regarding this matter.
- 4/5
Great location with beautiful views. Nice bay front walking trail behind the hotel. Several nice restaurants along the trail within 5 minute walking. The bathroom could be updated though.
- 4/5
Simple hotel, clean room, and decent for a short stay. Just be aware that you can hear the planes taking off and landing.
- 3/5
Ok
- 4/5
Ac unit in room was not working properly
- 1/5
The circuit breakers kept blowing. The central heating wasn’t working. It was cold. I couldn’t get no sleep because of the interruptions of the break is keep blowing three times. I asked for a refund or another nice free stay I never got a respond very disappointed in local management.
- 5/5
For the price, this is a great place, clean, with friendly and helpful staff.
- 3/5
Check in was easy and staff was friendly and pleasant. The temp of the room was difficult to control which made sleeping tough. The hotel is a bit older and definitely has some "character", but all we needed was a place to sleep and clean-up so it worked for us. The free airport shuttle was appreciated. We left SUPER early in the morning so if breakfast was available, I'm not able to comment on it.
- 5/5
Warm welcome, clean room.

The room needs to be remodeled, and all the furniture was in bad condition conditions

Location, staff Noisy, needs a makeover
- 5/5
excellent experience
- 5/5
Convinced
- 5/5
Check in was smooth. The man that handled the check in did a great job.
- 2/5
Room was over 80 degrees and no way to turn off the heat. Amazingly bad nights sleep. The units have no dedicated AC or Heat just a 1950s style thermostat on wall which has no bearing on the temp in the room. Avoid if you want a decent nights sleep.
- 3/5
Needs a grab handle in the shower
- 1/5
Room, staff, amenities, everything. The worst hotel EVER. I will never book a hotel with Expedia again. You rated them very high (4.8 I think) and I feel like it’s your rating system that’s the bigger problem than the hotel itself.
- 2/5
Filthy dirty chair in the room, peeling wallpaper, smelly, not good. Only stayed here as a last resort.

Hotel and room are super dated, including popcorn ceiling.

- 5/5
Literally as close to the water as you can be without being in it. Good price, kind staff and amazing view
- 5/5
AC didnt seem to work but everuth
- 5/5
Beautiful view ! Clean and cozy
- 1/5
Peeling wall paper. Stains on walls. Rock hard beds dirty floor. Not what expect on 2.5 star property
- 3.5/5
Close to the Airport. Broken office chair and no air conditioning. Needs an upgrade.
- 3/5
Person checking us was not pleasant or nice. Just asked for name, id, and credit card. Gave us our keys and room number. And that was all of the interaction. Place is okay for a 1 night stay. Outside noise from other people was loud into midnight. Some came from the coffee room next to us where people sat to talk. Best thing about the place is the mattress is good and it is clean.
- 1/5
Dirty and outdated.
- 5/5
It was everything and more than I could have ever expected!! Scrupulously clean and tidy with evryrhing I required plus a shuttle service to and from the airport. The hugest happy thanks to the management team. I will DEFINITELY be booking in at Vagabond Inn next time I visit San Francisco - it was not only affordable but it had everything I needed for a business trip. A 100% happy guest :l Debi Jones (South Africa) There was nothing not to like
- 3/5
No luggage storage and clerk was rude.
- 1/5
Water pressure in shower is terrible. Windows and floors are dirty. All around shows age needs a good remodel
- 3/5
Air conditioning was not working. And they force you to buy something just for a plastic fork.
- 3.5/5
Comfortable bed, close to SFO, clean Toilet issues, could not turn on light next to the bed
- 2/5
The windows couldn't block out the noise of aircraft revving their engines before takeoff from SFO. I suppose the other side of the hotel would have been quieter, but I reserved one of their pricier rooms. They should indicate that room is very noisy. In addition, lights shining on the building illuminated the room unless the curtains were completely closed so there was no chance to at least sleep with the window open (since it didn't block the noise anyway.
- 3/5
We were in town for a funeral with family members. Cockroaches were spotted in 2 of the 4 rooms rented. Pretty bad gor an affluent town like Burlingame
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
Our stay at Vagabond Inn was easy and restful. We had just enough space for the two of us, the room was comfy and well-equipped. We LOVED the bay view out our window with a patio - especially for viewing the sunrise. Thanks for a great stay!
- 5/5
Balcony view was amazing! The shuttle was very convenient and the driver was amazing!
- 2/5
Photos showed rooms with balconies and view of the bay; we were given a ground floor room facing the parking lot. The hotel has seen better days, curtains, furniture old and worn out.
- 5/5
Second stay at this location to rebook the balcony overseeing SFO. Clean room and hotel. Would recommend.
- 1.5/5
Poor
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 4/5
Perfect easy stay near the airport with a surprisingly pretty view of the water nearby the next morning. I didn't catch his name, but the man at the front desk was very kind and helpful explaining my transportation options. The free shuttle service was great!
- 3/5
Pleasant
- 1/5
Nothing that I like. The room is outdated
- 4/5
Next to airport
- 2/5
Bedding had a funky odor Whole room had a musty smell. Tv didn’t work , it was fixed quickly by a nice lady. Paper thin walls I could hear the couple in the next room talking almost all night . Close to the airport and staff was polite.
- 4/5
Comfortable stay for 1 day. Great shuttle service to and fro airport. Free coffee.
- 5/5
Work very well for our short stay and transportation to airport
- 3/5
Very basic with few amenities
- 4/5
Room was clean, housekeeping was great. Check-in and check-out was quick. Was pretty quiet.
- 4/5
It was a convenient place to stay near the airport. The shuttle service was great and the staff very nice.
- 1/5
worse management
- 2/5
I couldn’t sleep at night because of huge noise of airplane because hotel is very close to Airport, but hotel was clean and had good views
- 5/5
Good stuff
- 3/5
Very noisy restroom exhaust fan which did not stop running all the time.
- 5/5
Clean room. Great staff. Friendly and resourceful. Would stay a second time.

I will say that I slept like a bucket of snow and the view of the bay with landing planes was nice.
- 5/5
Great
- 3.5/5
Good
- 4/5
Nice staff
- 3/5
The stay in general was ok, the photos on here probably oversell the place. It wasn’t exactly as I expected, but saying that I would stay again. Having a room with balcony was the best part and the saving grace for the stay, as could sit outside looking out across the bay, ok the airport is out there, but there was no noise. The room in general was clean and bed comfortable. The bathroom was adequate, needed some updating and cleaning, but ok for a 1 night stay.
- 1/5
If you want to stay in a room with a mosquito infestation then you found the right hotel. There were 40-50 mosquitos flying around the room all night. I killed 20 but they still kept coming up. Im allergic to bug bites. When i told front desk they told me, “we will let maintenance know”. No apology, no type if refund, nothing. They were all over the room, beds, bathroom toilet. Stay away from this place. It is disgusting.
- 3/5
Shuttle was convenient
- 5/5
Good location
- 2/5
Plus i didn't know that we have to make a deposit of $150. Hope they return it. Bad experience, bad costumer service.
- 3/5
It was very nice to have the bay front walking path steps away. It was nice seeing the wildlife and watching the planes as SFO!!
- 2/5
Also not sure if the offered breakfast oranything because the girl that checked me in made no mention or anything the hotel had to offer. I did see coffee carafes there though but who knows what they were for.
- 5/5
Close to the airport, clean rooms, very convenient.
- 5/5
Easy and smooth check-in. Friendly front desk staff. Great experience!
- 5/5
Convenient, convenient, convenient. No thrills, quickly accessiblr, affordable hotel near SFO airport. Very nice plane spotting views for those who like it.
- 2/5
Worst hotel bed I've ever slept in. Mattress was hard and seemed very, very old, and pillows were lumpy. And you can't even plug a FireStick into the TV! Would not recommend.
- 3/5
Cc
- 4/5
It’s an old hotel that has been upgraded a bit. This is not a resort, but it’s a good value if you need to be near the airport.
- 5/5
It has a patio and you can see the bay. It’s clean and comfortable and it also has a microwave a mini fridge and a small coffee machine and a small desktop and chair to work. The bed is a king and it has a couch
- 5/5
Very quiet place to spend the night...pet friendly and staff were friendly
- 5/5
I staye at a room facing the bay, really nice view and you could see the planes landing. Cleaning lady woke me up first thing in the morning wanting to come and clean. Could not go back to sleep after that. Maybe they do that so people check out sooner?
- 3/5
Cheap alternative to HyattSFO convenient location, clean room, ok bed, but lady upstairs paced around her room all night
- 5/5
Natali
- 2/5
When I first got there it was the front desk was closed then I got there she seemed nice but they didn't tell me about the $100 deposit but I put it anyways deposit did come back fast on my bank as soon as I checked out. It was clean the front floor ice thing was not working there was no bag for ice and when I called and asked if the ice machine was working she said there's an ice machine on the top and on the bottom and yes they're both working I told her no not the one on the bottom she said is there anything else to help you with. The beds were not that comfortable I kept feeling like I was leaning overall The view outside was amazing and the air conditioning was not working so it continued getting stuffy as I had to open the door as people walk by I guess if you're only staying there for one night to sleep to get on the plane it would be okay but for a family not sure.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Had a great stay. Thanks
- 5/5
The man on reception was most helpful and informative. He allowed us to store our bags before check in whilst we explored San Francisco. The only slight problem was at the airport. It was difficult to hear the person speaking at the hotel on the phone at the bus stop. Over all it was a great experience.

There is a continous (24 hour) noise emanating from the bathroom fan. To remedy the situation, they have earplugs in rooms. My room with a patio did not have a phone. The products are labeled with wrong prices.

They booked us a room that already had someone staying in there. The person in there threaten us because we went inside when he was sleeping. He woke up as we where opening the door and told us to "get the f... out or we are dead!" It was a scary experience.

Clean, safe, updated room and respectable overall facilities. Great value for a reasonable price. Will stay again.

This property has potential. They need a handy person to sand and stain the furniture. Rhe handy person needs to do repairs as well. The place is super clean. House keeping is amazing.

It was an old porperty. Motel look like. It was clean but smelled old. The furniture old. We wonder how old were the matrix. We over paid for this property. Despite of being clean, close to the airport. I will never stay there again. I didn't feel safe and you could hear the kids running in the room Upstairs.

I had the second floor view but it was less than appealing. The screen door was jammed, the ac short circuit and filled the hallways with smoke, there's no phone to call front desk

The place was clean wiyh friendly and helpful staff. Nice view from our window of the bay and the airport.

Close to airport and we were able to check in late at night after a flight mess with United. Average overall but perfectly adequate and better than spending the night in that damned airport.

Very nice one night stay close to the airport. Very clean, awesome front desk staff, and timely airport shuttle. Could use some updating.

From checking in to checking out overall great.

Also the front desk person was very rude - got angry at me for the card keys not working. When I asked her name - she said Ana - not sure if that was the truth.

Great service, the balcony and patio views of the bay and of San Francisco Airport are awesome. would recommend 100% for Airplane spotters.

It’s not the four seasons, but the views were nice, the bed was comfortable, it was close to the airport and their customer service was top-notch.

Front office was nice..convenient

The hotel was in a good location and the shuttle to and from the airport was very convenient. The room was clean and I really appreciated the attention to detail from the housekeeping staff—especially how they folded the toilet paper and towels into beautiful fan shapes. It was such a thoughtful and elegant touch that made the room feel extra special! It could get a tad bit loud at times throughout the night, but they provided ear plugs.

We had the best person at the front desk. We were traveling with our daughter who was staying in a separate room. The woman made sure we had adjoining rooms without us even asking. She was very nice, she also pointed out the schedule for the shuttle to the airport. The hotel is older, but has character and is situated in a great location. It has a great feel about it. In the morning I shared the elevator with a pilot, so you know if folks from the airlines are staying there it’s a fine establishment. Overall we had a great time. We would stay again.

We didn’t get room service, but we found the laundry room and scored some fresh towels. That was about it for amenities. There were some dead bugs, patched-up walls, and you could see daylight through the door. The “occupied” sign kept falling off, which felt metaphorical. A hot breakfast was advertised, but nope. We had to buy overpriced microwave meals from the snack bar (more expensive than airport food), and when we asked for utensils, we were told to buy more food. So yeah—utensils are rare treasure here. We walked 45 minutes to the nearest grocery store. The fridge and microwave worked (freezer was too frosty), and the heater was loud but effective. Thankfully, earplugs were provided since the walls were thin and we were next to the lot. We were charged $20/night for my husband’s service dog, but the room was never cleaned. We were gone from 12–5 daily, so time wasn’t the issue. Front desk was phone-absorbed, but the laundry staff was kind and helpful. Grateful for the view and earplugs, but we’ll pass next time.

After a long bit of traveling and being around a lot of people, I wanted some solitude. It was a plus to be near the water. I didn't need much and this was just right. I had a ride to SFO in the morning. There was free coffee. The room looked and smelled clean. I enjoyed having a place to walk while the sun went down and when it came up again the next day.

If you just want to stay for sleep, they are excellent place. The hotel just cross from the airport. So you will hear airplane sound late night to early morning.
- 3/5
This is a place to stay the night. You can hear everything going on outside your room. Luckily they provide ear plugs. They do have a free shuttle to the airport, so that was a plus.

Stay was fine. I received the worst customer service I’ve ever seen in my life during checkout!! Rude, sarcastic, and argumentative. Why would you hire someone like that to represent your business!
- 4/5
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the place itself. In fact, you get a good stay for a low price. However, I quickly learned why it's so cheap; the airport is right across the bay. I heard the planes taking off all night. This is not the hotel's fault at all, it's just something to be aware of.

Very spacious room, comfortable bed

It’s quite an old motel and would greatly benefit from some updating including double glazing. But it was very clean and comfortable and the staff are helpful and pleasant.

Area around the hotel was not pleasent to sight. Hotel room was nice and I liked that they provided for a late check out time.

Wish I had chosen differently and spent more $ to stay somewhere else.

Nice location. Nice staff...older hotel but well maintained. Very close to SFO.
- 3/5
Clean hotel, service was good. A little run down. $250/night seemed like a lot for what we got but neighboring hotels were much higher. Airport shuttle was the much appreciated.
- 4/5
We were lucky to have room 116, which opens up to a sea wall and the ocean. Bust airport traffic but a nice view. While it may appear a little dated, the essentials were there. It was clean and bed was comfortable. Drive to food and amenities.

There’s no breakfast and the guilty it’s the COVID measure’s. Every restaurant in the city is open so this excuse isn’t plausible. The morning guy at the desk was rude, unprofessional. The other guy, already in the middle of morning was polite as the manager who attends me when I arrived. Above

It was right by the water. Close to where we had to be. Wish we had booked king size beds. Our 3 kids barely fit on the queen. Wished, when asked what floor, I had said top floor. Whomever was above us, their kids were running around yelling until 4:30 in the morning. Then the guy was violently throwing up. It was not pleasant at all!
- 4.5/5
Clean and close to SFO A bit noisy due to the proximity to the airport but earplugs were in the room but really not needed.
- 3/5
The bed was very comfortable and the duvet cover was nice, even though it was the cheap kind with prickly duck feathers. The air conditioning and bathroom fan were sorely lacking. The A/C was centrally controlled throughout the hotel and you could only switch it on or off, but not really control the temperature or output. The bathroom fan was on permanently, meaning it kept going and going and going - which severely affected my ability to sleep. When I called to complain, the staff didn't care and just said, "this is the way it is". And "what do you want me to do about it?" I responded by saying, I want someone to turn it off, so I can go to sleep. Her response was, why don't you wear earplugs? I said, I shouldn't have to! She finally said she'd send maintenance over in the morning. No one ever showed up and I spent 2 nights there. Nobody cared!
