The Westin San Francisco Airport

Very friendly staff. Inviting when I walked into the lobby. I wish I had more time to enjoy the dining room and amenities.

Nice property but older. However, consistent with Westin excellence. Did not do daily room cleaning. We asked for it to be done twice, and it was done neither time. Disappointing. Despite this, staff were generally helpful and friendly, especially the housekeeping staff. Wonder if our messages to front desk about room cleaning never got to them

Very nice location. Loved my room with the bay view. But disappointed with the bathroom because it was not very clean and also no soap in the dispenser for the body wash and someone was supposed to bring it to my room but unfortunately no one came by . Also the iron in the room was very old and not working. Paying 50$ for parking is ridiculous in my opinion. Also they offered 2 complementary glasses of wine when we don’t drink alcohol and plus I had my 11 year old daughter with me and upon asking the person who checked us in if we could get something instead she just apologized and said there’s nothing she can do.

I was only there five hours. It was a convenient hotel to the airport and an easy Uber. Can’t really rate it well because I went straight to the room in five hours later I left.

We love staying at the Westin SFO after returning from long international trips. We live several hours from SFO, so after 15-30 hours of flying/layover time, we're not ready to make the long drive home. The Westin SFO has the amazing Heavenly Bed and we wake refreshed. The Starbucks in the lobby lets us grab a coffee for the long drive home.

It had Starbucks in lobby. Close to the airport but far enough away you’re not in traffic. Hidden fees they charge to your credit card workout informing you- $28 destination fee! $50 to park but their parking lot is always full and you have to park far away.

I was really happy with this property. It is clean and modern, with excellent amenities. The location is very convenient for connections with SFO. The shuttle bus service is easy to use, with regular services. All the staff were lovely. I would definitely stay here again.

GPS had us enter by Aloft hotel and it took forever to navigate the parking lot to get to the hotel. There should be signage. Rooms are clean but completely dated and need to be updated.

A nice comfortable and clean hotel near airport. The pool is also fantastic. The pool water temperature was perfect and there's also a jacuzzi. A nice bonus after a long day. The food at Grill and Vine was excellent esp the korean bbq sliders.

Linda in the Grill & Vine was super friendly and helpful We arrived late and after checking in we ended up changing rooms as we had a few issues and James did help us out even though it was nearing midnight. However, the room we were given although the next class up , the cleaning staff must have miss understood their job description... the room was anything but clean, toe nails on the carpet, ketchup on the woodwork above the curtains, and the grubbiness of most of the touch points yuk As it was so late after moving from our previous room we seriously couldn't be bothered to do it again, bearing in mind we'd been travelling for many hours... We stayed put, slept a few hours and left. Glenn on Reception was again very helpful and he said he would take this up with the cleaning team. I only hope they can improve the cleaning, as we have stayed in numerous Westin Hotels and loved them all. Maybe this was a 1 off 🤔

Our room was very noisy overnight. Perhaps from the heating system or elevator shaft. Surprising given the cost of the room.

Great location for the airport. Very noisy rooms so very little sleep. They rent out the the rooms for children’s and teenagers parties and unfortunately we had two on our floor which were only shut down at 12:15am after we made several complaints about unsupervised children running through the corridors and knocking on doors of sleeping guests - us included.

I recently stayed at this hotel as part of a group booking, and overall the experience was positive in many ways. However, there is one important issue future guests should be aware of. The hotel charges a daily “Destination Fee” (in my case $25 per night per room), which is not clearly communicated at check-in and is not included in the visible room rate. Instead, guests are given vouchers (coffee, drinks, etc.) that appear optional or like complimentary perks. At no point was it clearly explained that this fee is mandatory and cannot be declined, even if the vouchers are not used. For a multi-room, multi-night stay, this resulted in a significant unexpected cost (hundreds of dollars). I would strongly encourage future guests to ask about all additional fees in advance, and I hope the hotel can improve transparency around this in the future.

Nicole greeted us upon arrival and assisted me with check-in, as well as setting up a member account. She was extremely helpful and made the entire experience seamless from start to finish. It was especially nice to have her assist us again during check-out, which made our departure just as smooth as our arrival. I truly appreciate her calm demeanor and cheerful attitude—it made our stay even more enjoyable.

Nice spacious room. Was provided a credit for dinner and that was great. Has indoor pool but we didn’t get a chance to use it. Bed and sheets are very comfortable too. Staff that worked at restaurant are very friendly, hardworking and engaging. Like the shuttle bus service and the bus driver was super friendly and helpful with our luggages when we arrived but we have a different bus driver the next day and he was okay. Check-out is slow. Only 1 staff and chatting away with small talks with the guest checking out causing a delay and there were other guests coming up too. Be professional and respect that there is a line and not everyone likes to hear small talk when we are in a hurry and wants to get checked out to make it in time for the shuttle. Other than that, everything was wonderful!

Best location ever when flying in and out of SFO

I’m an airline pilot, so staying in hotels a lot. This was my first stay at this Westin location. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. As always with Westin, the beds and pillows are the best. The price was outstanding too.

Yea the Westin was wonderful! We really liked the convenience of a restaurant in the hotel! The hospitality of the staff was excellent! We loved how comfortable the beds were too! Very luxurious as the sheets were high quality also! If we could have packed the beds in our suitcases we would have taken them home with us as they were that comfortable!! We will be back next year for sure!

The Westin is a really good option for staying by the airport. We appreciated their food credits, and the staff was helpful. Overall the checkin and checkout process as well as the shuttle to the airport worked well.

When I arrived I needed help with my suitcases and someone to help me take them up to the room. I had two big suitcases and a carry on. I have a back condition and I wear a brace on my wrist for an injury. I asked for help and they said that they do not have someone to take the suitcases up. I had to struggle with my luggage to the elevator, in and out of the elevator, then drag them one at a time to the door of the room. When I had everything in front of the room, I unlocked and dragged them one at a time inside. I did the same while leaving, to find that a guest had all their luggage in a wheeled cart and was transporting their luggage easily. Front desk did not offer that option and watched me drag my luggage. I expected better from a Mariott.

Comfortable king size bed for the night before our 5:50 am flight. We ate at the on site restaurant and it was very good and the complimentary glass of wine was a nice touch. The 4:05 am shuttle was right on time and a quick 5 minute ride to SFO terminal one.

This was my first time staying at this property, and it didn't disappoint. The hotel is large, and it's older, but many things have been updated, and they keep it sparkling clean. My room was a bay view, and I also had a huge picture window of San Francisco international airport. The floor I was on was quiet and clean, and the housekeeping staff was kind and helpful with any additional needs I had. The beds are soft, the linens and towels were very clean and smelled fresh. The tub wasn't draining well, so they sent a maintenance person to get it draining better. I ate at the restaurant several times, and all the food was delicious, and delivered to our table in a timely manner. I can't say enough about this property, and I will definitely be staying here next time I'm in SF.

It felt like they were doing construction or something outside. Could not sleep at all, then I realized the elevators were right behind my room. Terrible experience, will never stay there again. Not a 4 star hotel whatsoever.

It's an older hotel and I feel decorated to try and help but it's not helping. Bathrooms are old carpet is old and smells. Not for me moving forward I'll probably stay somewhere else

When I contacted the hotel, the manager told me the reservation was non-refundable and refused to help in any way. I explained that the situation was completely out of my control and that I couldn’t afford to lose the money. I simply asked if they could move the dates or offer a credit, but the response was cold, stern, and dismissive. It takes very little to show basic kindness and understanding. Compassion goes a long way, especially during unexpected emergencies. This hotel clearly values money over its guests. I strongly advise travelers to choose places that choose you—this one does not.

I lost my driver's license and had a temporary one from DMV that the manager would not accept because there was no picture. I had the reservation on my phone...showed him the settings page on my phone with my name and my picture and he still would not accept that it was me. Not only that but he was rude to my girlfriend and I saying (not) and telling my girlfriend to "stop talking now". I will NEVER go back to that property and considering dropping Marriott altogether.

The room was not properly cleaned upon arrival. The carpet had minor stains, and the bathtub appears worn and discolored, likely in need of replacement. The bathroom towels should also be replaced, as some were ripped or had a dingy appearance. I would probably stay here again, but there are some areas that need improvement.

The room really shows its age and definitely needs some updates. The location is good but a bit too close to the SFO runways. We could hear the plane takeoff/landing from our room. Another issue was the noise from other rooms due to the poor soundproofing.

We stayed one night at the Westin SFO and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel was sophisticated and well designed. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Check in was a breeze and the restaurant was so good! Special kudos to our server, Bismarck, who was very friendly, attentive and professional, even though we showed up late in the evening. All in all, our night at the Westin was great!

I paid way too much money to stay here. the room had a constant knocking noise, the pool is only open till 9am, and there is no provided breakfast. I think your spending way too much money for the value of this hotel, and i highly do not recommend. there are way better options in the area.

The tourist fee was written as 8 Dollars when I booked on Expedia, I got to the property and they charged me 25 dollars. Nobody ever replied to my messsages I sent which is really disappointing

Well everything seemed okay at first they even gave me comp for parking which was $41 a night I stayed for two day Fri-sun but when I got back home Monday afternoon I checked my credit card balance and noticed they charged me $57 for something called a discovery destination now I’m not really stressing off the $57 but it’s how they implemented this into my stay so they comped my room and yes I went through a third party bookings app to book my room but never did it state anything of destination fee the manager who I have to admit was nice and professional gave me these coupons which was $12 coupon to eat at the restaurant and a glass of wine whenever I felt the need to drink.well I’m now a drinker and I only used these coupons for food when I checked out for breakfast so basically I paid $57 for $12 coupons for the restaurant when I explained that I never asked of this fee they told me it’s on the app that I booked if they didn’t want this I should’ve checked no so even tho nice and professional I feel I got stung and left feeling unhappy I went there to relax for a getaway if I knew I was going to get suckered into extra charges I could’ve just stayed at motel 6 where you pay for what you truly want. So when I looked at it I paid $460 two days for room $84 for parking and $57 for the destination fee which the food was mediocre would’ve been better food going to IHOP SO FOR TWO DAYS and one order of salty chorizo and burned eggs turned to me paying $610 not worth it

Thecin room coffee was beyond bad. The suttle driver only stopped at terminal one and two on the drop off. I left pit of terminal3. Access was availble through 2 but the wait, check in and walking distance was far longer than a quick stop at Terminal 3. They get big downgrade for that. So much so, I may stay somewhere else next time.

Parking was very nice and easy when you first get there. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They even gave us a little card for money towards dining in. The pool was amazing the kids had a blast, and overall an amazing atmosphere we will definitely be back!

Overall very good stay. Front desk staff needs some training with receiving guests with a smile and positive attitude. The restaurant was very good and their team both friendly and efficient, especially Rez. Location is close to SFO with plenty of nearby interest (you’ll need transportation). We’ve stayed here a number of times and continue to enjoy this hotel.

The hotel added more than $50 dollars in additional undisclosed charges to the cost of the room. Expedia and he hotel should have indicated these extra costs in listing the room

Third floor seems to be the guests with children floor. Woken up several times from crying babies. Really strained our stay.

Very nice hotel, very nice large pool and pool area. Room amenities such as furniture and bath items are above par compared to most other hotel chains. I was very impressed how quiet the room was, being basically next door to the San Francisco airport. Restaurant food quality was excellent for a hotel. Unfortunately, the HVAC had trouble keeping the room cool, and the lighting needs attention-the room was very dark even with all the available lighting turned on. Those two things are what dropped the overall rating from excellent to good.

Watch out for the BS destination fee being added to your bill without warning or explanation. This is interesting, even though you get free Wi-Fi based on your membership, and there is no room service.

If you attend the San Francisco Pen show, this is the place you want to stay! From the free shuttle service from and to the airport to the ease of getting to your room for a break from the “penzy”, I really enjoy my experience. Please note that if you’re traveling alone without a car, access to restaurants is limited, beside the restaurant at the hotel, which is excellent by the way.

Everything great but we had a broken iron in our room that almost destroyed my top, and for me an iron is a priority every time I travel.

Stayed here for 1 night as my family and I had early flights the next day. It just seem like a ripoff they would charge you $38 per person for what looked like a low end continental + breakfast. plus specially after we paid $300 for a room. We weren’t even told about the $38 pp until we got the bill. Should have not trusted them. If we knew we would have gone to the Starbucks right there in the lobby for ‘acceptable’ coffee. Just ridiculously over priced for my state. So they offered us free wine coupon, to which we dont drink!?? plus they offered a $13 dollar food or drink coupon but it was just for 1 person, we were 3 adults.Skip this place, or at least ask questions about pricing and research the place better than we did.

This is my go to airport when in San Francisco when I overnight before I move onto destinations unknown. The staff is amazing, the hotel is clean and well staffed, a great pool, and the views are outstanding if you like to watch planes, takeoff and land.

The staff was not very friendly

The fridge in the room was not cleaned out, so it had leftovers from the previous guests when we checked into the room.

Parking was horrible, multiple parking, lots full. Service at the front desk was very unfriendly. Zero interaction.

Great place to stay if you have an early or late night flight out of SFO.

Our 2nd visit to this property . Really convenient to SFO . It is due for redecoration but its still a great option for a comfortable nights sleep with a friendly welcome

I wasn’t aware that this place wouldn’t be as upscale as all of the other westins I’ve stayed in over the years. There was nothing wrong with. It but i wouldn’t have paid Westin prices if i had know I wouldn’t be getting Westin luxury. Very clean room, but very small w very average bathroom unlike all other westins

It is a great place with a decent restaurant/bar and a free shuttle to the airport, where you can jump on BART to get into the city

The room was very clean, and the bed was comfy. The gym was a very nice facility with well maintained equipment. I did have some issues with wifi but the staff at the desk were helpful to fix this issue. Overall the staff were very nice and the service was exceptional. There was also a complementary airport shuttle running every 15 minutes, which was very helpful. Great experience. I would definitely book here again!

I had a problem with tub, the water was stuck and had dirty water.

Overnight stay was pleasant and room was fantastic. There was Starbucks for purchase next to the lobby and a restaurant that served delicious food. Staff was friendly & approachable.

Only minor complaint is the shower should be upgraded.

I love the ability to walk across the street to the Bayfront, and walk to great restaurants near the airport/Bayfront/Westin.The Salmon Egg White Omelette and Fruits & Berries were delicious in the hotel restaurant! Provided me with 2 complimentary promotional coupons for the hotel restaurant. Great service from staff.

It is a safe very clean large rooms its one of tthe top class hotel

Very slow check in. Waited in line too long. The room is old and dated and just not presentable. The furniture is chipped. Just looks tacky. Bathroom is super basic and looks old.

We had a late, after midnight, arrival. The front desk staff (Roy), was quick and efficient and pleasant.

Super convenient location and the shuttle was great. Staff at check-in was super friend and went quickly. Room was clean, bed was somewhat comfy & nice to have a few bottles of water.

The hallway smells, the pool water is dirty, there's bubbles floating on top, we called it the "forever bubbles" because those bubbles was floating around for the entire duration of our stay. The bathtube was yellow, the AC stopped working, and to top it off, parking is $48 per day, not including the resort fee.

Hotel definitely needs a refresh and clean. The carpeting in our room was filthy, there was dried blood on the bathroom door. Thankfully we were only there for about five hours since we had an early flight.

Thank you. Only one issue, I think the pool and hot tub need to be monitored better by staff, kids were running and racing in the pool, eating in the pool area and in the hot tub without a parent in the hot tub with them.

Staff was friendly and check in and out quick. The restaurant staff was friendly, the food was quite good and we received a free glass of wine per person and $13 food voucher which was a very pleasant surprise.

Convenient with airport shuttle from the airport.

I was deeply disappointed with the Westin. My husband is a Titanium lifetime member…as we checked out, I noticed that there was a mistake with the bill. The hotel did not deduct the 3 coupons I handed to the server at the restaurant for 2 free drinks (house wine) and a $13 food credit. When I raised the issue before checking out, the front desk rep checked with the F&B manager and he claimed that they only received the $13 food credit coupon and not the other two. I explained that I did hand all three coupons. I even explained that I would not cheat the hotel for $27. Although the rep said she would look into it further, I do not believe her. I even told her that we stay at the Westin all the time. In fact, we were at a Westin in Boston last week. If they can treat their Titanium members this way, how would they treat others? This is just poor customer service. So disappointed.

Late flight arrival at SFO this was an easy transfer with the shuttle. Continental breakfast was lovely and fresh and we had a good morning walk along the shore to get fresh air and sunshine.

Updated airport hotel. Good value; appreciate Noon checkout. Lots of lobby seating for quick meetings. Full Starbucks in lobby is a huge plus!

The Westin SFO is a stellar property with an amazing staff. I have always been treated well and recognized for my Titanium status. The property is well maintained and centrally located to SFO.

I would stay here again. Close to airport. Efficient shuttle. Clean. Friendly staff.

Nice property. Rooms are adequate. Nothing fancy. Indoor pool is nice. Parking fee a bit steep for non valet. A lot of airport traffic right in front of hotel.

When I have a long layover in San Francisco I choose to stay at the Westin. It's not that expensive, and it's close to the airport.

While we loved our stay there were some unexpected hidden charges. We were charged a couple of extra taxes that were not mentioned in the reservation. As well there was a $48 charge to park our car which is absolutely disgusting.

I chose The Westin because of its close distance to SFO plus their shuttle service. It's slightly dated but kept very clean and in a good condition. They really met my needs and I can't complain about anything!

The room is spacious and clean. The hotel has a nice gym and a decent swimming pool. Dining is also at reasonable price with large portions. Happy with the stay.

I rated "Good" because I don't understand why this hotel added a destination fee. Did not use the 1 complimentary wine or the $13 food credit inside the hotel restaurant since it is expensive. I think this destination fee should have been an option

Although it was very convenient to stay so close to the airport the hotel was showing its age and the room was mediocre at best. The bed was very comfortable and there were lots of unexplained creaking and noises in our room throughout the night. Way overpriced!!!
