Best place I’ve been to in a while. Sad it closing down

It was amazing. The bed was comfortable. The decoration was beautiful. The breakfast was delicious. I wish they were not excepting reservations after August 15, 2025.

Love the overall feel and esthetics. Victorian style/The Shinning vibes. Rooms were clean. Great breakfast.

Great stay

The room was beautiful and very spacious. Complimentary buffet breakfast was ok, staff is excellent, my only complaint would be that the lobby is literally freezing, cold as can be!

Lovely affordable hotel extremely convenient for us

The area felt safe, our room was large, clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly. There were take-out eateries within walking distance and downtown Campbell with nicer restaurants was a quick 10-minute drive away. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Need to work on breakfast. Eggs with velveeta cheese were pretty bad. Nice to have yogurt and fresh fruit— sad to say supply was not replenished during our stay. Good coffee though.

Friendly staff and spacious room

Room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. Staff were courteous and competent.

The only drawback was the breakfast buffet. They were out of coffee the 1st morning & there was no place to sit. I came back 20 minutes later & they were still out of coffee. It was a busy Fathers Day weekend, but even though they had 2 ladies working they ran out of eggs.

Rooms are clean & spacious, breakfast was more than what I expected, free parking was nice to have. Will definitely stay here again! A++

Locked out of our room after midnight both nights of our stay. No front desk assistance for 30min+ despite being told there is 24/7 concierge. Staff mentioned door was broken.

The hotel was super cute, charming, welcoming, warm and clean. The staff were kind and accommodating. The room was fantastic! I had a good night sleep. the breakfast was simple and good with a big window of serving time.

Absolutely LOVE this hotel. Such a great staff, so welcoming and helpful. Adore the old world charm, it’s like staying in a fabulous art gallery. Lovely breakfast to start the day. We will always make it a priority to stay at The Bristol Hotel when visiting the area. Thank you.

This is our "go to" place when visiting the San Jose area (where we lived for 35 years before retiring and moving to Sonoma county 17 years ago.

Nice place

While The Bristol Hotel is budget-friendly, its charm is overshadowed by a few key shortcomings. The property has an eccentric vibe and vintage decor, which could have been endearing if better maintained. Unfortunately, the lack of cleanliness and attention to detail made the stay less enjoyable. With some improvements in upkeep and service, this hotel could better live up to its potential.

Nice decor, but everything else is below standard, rooms are outdated, with questionable cleanliness. Breakfast was simple. Definitely overrated on the reviews. Price was fair.

This hotel is very weird, decor-wise, but the staff couldn’t possibly be nicer. Especially the warm Hawaiian lady at the front desk. It’s a rare five star from me.

The place could be amazing. We have stayed there a few times but each time the rooms went down in quality (e.g., cleanliness). It's convenient and not horribly priced but could use love.

We have used this hotel many times when we travel to the San Jose area. It’s convenient to freeways, but in a quiet neighborhood, close to amenities and always clean and comfortable.

Entrance can use some more light, make it more visible

I took many of the disgusting room! This hotel looks lovely when you arrive BUT evil lurks within! The room had old pizza boxes, bags of left over chips, trash un-emptied, light bulbs out, hair dryer literarily caught on fire when I started it- bath tub/ shower didn’t drain, no safe as advertised in the room, NO room service!! Nobody cleaned our room!! We talked to the front desk and complained but NOTHING happened!! When we left all pizza boxes and other trash remained! Seriously, shut the place down! DO NOT STAY!

I liked the room and the hotel’s ambience. It was difficult to enter the driveway driving east on South Bascomb. I am unfamiliar with the area and had to drive around several blocks to enter from the opposite direction.

A one-night stay at my favorite hotel near my family as I visit in Los Gatos. Perhaps old-school in decor, I never hear any noise, even from neighboring rooms - noise of any kind! Want quiet and comfort? Bristol is the best.

We came for a family visit. It was very convenient and really was a pleasure to stay there. Breakfast was a nice touch. Near to restaurants and shopping yet a quiet location. Would definitely be our first choice to stay again the next time we visit.

The Bristol is a hidden gem. The rooms are large, clean, and quiet. The staff is cheerful and helpful. Decor makes you feel like you’re in Europe. Decent breakfast. Easy free parking. Convenient to freeway.

Immediate surrounding area doesn’t mirror the elegance of the interior but the hotel is conveniently situated in such a way as to access many dining and shopping options, and other experiences in less than a 15 minute drive.

I only stay for one night but this place has to be one of the best spots I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms were pretty big and the walls were thick. My room was close to the dining around they have and I couldn’t really hear anyone. So I was very happy about that since I’m a light sleeper. The whole vibe and atmosphere of the hotel was amazing. I loved the antique feel it had with a small modern touch.

Very convenient location. Friendly staff. Overall the appearance and the amenities are somewhat dated. But all the practical comforts are there, modern coffee maker, fridge, very nice bathroom and a decent breakfast.

Very clean, unique and lovely property. My room felt huge, the bed was comfy and overall it was a great stay. I was there for a full business week and was amazed how quiet the room was. Very peaceful!

This boutique hotel is very clean and elegant. The staff is friendly, helpful and professional. It is very convenient for people who are getting treatments at the Cancer Center just down the street. The breakfast was also very good.
