I mean, I didn’t expect much but it was pretty grimy overall. The guy was nice, but that was about it. I didn’t complain, but there’s just no way I can rate this any higher. It’s just a complete rip off that the room was $350 during mom’s weekend. The full size fridge in the room was just so strange. I guess it was supposed to be a kitchenette, which wasn’t the room I reserved but literally could lay in bed while reaching the fridge.

It is a motel, so if you are looking for a 4* experience that's not for you. However, for motel standards it is excellent. Feels more like a 3* hotel.

There was a ROACH in my room. When we talked to the front desk to get a new room, the new room is a major downgrade. The original room was a suite with a Double and a King bed. It was spacious and had a vanity that lights up, and 2 TVs. Neither TV worked, but until the roach, we were okay. Now, this new room looks less clean, has two doubles, and is cramped, minimal walking space. The TV in this room is ALSO not working. They did offer to separate one member of our group of 3 girls to a different room for the King bed. I am SO not happy with this experience. I want a refund.

The staff was wonderful- very helpful and courteous! Other reviews mentioned that the property was being renovated, our rooms clearly hadn’t been. Dated and possibly dirty bathroom, very little area to get ready, could only see tv from one bed, seating consisted of an overused rolling office chair, beds made sound like cookie sheet warping in oven when you moved, paint may have been applied by a child or perhaps an adult in a large hurry, no coffeemaker in room. Plus side is we were well located for our events on UIUC campus!

The rooms were clean, the furniture was worn, and there were plaster splashes on the bathroom door and sill. The breakfast offered was pathetic. They had donuts that were so stale, that the sugar had lifted off of them, and the donuts were not soft, they literally crunched when you broke them.

Awful! Do not stay here. Dirty. Unsafe. Price gouging. Six times the regular rate For mom’s weekend. Bugs in the room. Dirty sheets. Its a motel not a hotel. All of the rooms have doors to the outside.

Beyond disgusting. Wish I had looked before I slept on it. Went to take a shower and all the towels were stained and smelled moldy. Skipped the shower.

This property is very old and needs an update urgently.

It was cheap and the bed was comfortable. The shower and sink were also nice and seemed to be updated. The doors, both bathroom and main, had issues closing which was slightly annoying. Breakfast was very limited and the food was stale. Staff was very friendly. Good experience for the cheap price overall. Met expectations.

Condition of property was very poor. Room was very sketchy. Lots of vehicle noise until late evening as it’s on a busy road. Bed was ok but had horrible small pillows. I have never seen anything like them.

Just terrible! Check in was a joke. Charged a deposit that was more than the cost of the room and was not brought to light before reserving the room or after. The man at the front desk was difficult to understand. There was no bedding for the pull out and there was mouse feces all over the pull out.Tried adding a photo but would not let me.

I wouldn’t recommend this property. The one plus was no carpeting, I’m not sure I have anything else particularly positive to say. The bed was fine and the linens seemed clean, but we called right after arrival asking for an extra blanket and some more towels, got a confirmation that the request was sent to housekeeping and never got either. They are clearly doing some updates but whoever they’re using to do them should be fired. I won’t go into detail about the shoddy work, but it was ridiculous. The other huge issue was that there was no hot water in the shower. None. Turned on the water, it got mildly luke warm then once in it went from there to cold. It was because the new shower control didn’t allow you to turn it past barely warm. We got a ‘family’ room and there is no door between the two rooms. The door to the bathroom hadn’t been painted, it was filthy, the door didn’t really fit so they shaved some off and it was so rough we’d catch our clothes on it because the space is so tight you have to be a contortionist to get around the toilet so you can shut the bathroom door. There was a huge, full sized refrigerator in the room and a tiny microwave that was sitting on the nightstand on the other side of the bed in the main room. No table to sit at to eat, no hangers or even a small closet. Whoever they hired to paint should refund them their money. It’s like they gave us a room that was BEING remodeled, badly, not one that was finished.

Disappointed in quality for price

The room was filthy and reeked of smoke. The carpet had stains and there were flies in the room. It was disgusting! There were several barking dogs in rooms next to our room. We were told the hotel is smoke free and pet free. We did not end up staying and were told we cannot get a refund. I never received a return call from the manager and I called several times. Perhaps Expedia can assist me with getting a refund.

It is quiet and easy to check in. Not a lot of parking options.

Mold on the shower curtains. Something ground into the carpet. Refrigerator didn’t work. Air conditioning vent was broken just shot down to the floor.

I don't know if the waffle batter spout is clogged, or if it is a feature to save batter, but it (without exaggerating) takes longer to fill the batter cup than to cook a whole waffle.

Rooms are always clean and workers are polite.

The outside patio area is gorgeous and they are remodeling rooms. Seems like they are on the track to being a 5star location.

These are BASIC rooms. Very small. No place for families, groups to really gather inside as no drinks are allowed inside (what we were told). Would only go here again as a last resort.

Maybe we came at an inconvenient time. The hot water didn't work well -- it took at least 10 minutes of running water to get the water warm enough for shower. Eventually we got it, but a good amount of water was wasted.

The experience was horrible. The room that was reserved, looked like something from a horror movie. The floors were dirty and sunken in, the remodel was terrible the couches were filthy, room was an ice box, washroom looked creepy, the walls were patched poorly. We saw 2 more rooms and they were horrible too! The popcorn ceiling appears as if it was going to fall down any moment, along with the botched remodel, we lost out on our money since we didn’t stay. The pictures on the website were deceiving, they showed a different picture and view.

While the workers are very earnest, this is a very basic hotel that is in need of updates. The sheets and blankets had stains and cigarette burns and the room was dirty in the corners etc. the bed was made neatly but the blanket was very thin. The pillows were nice and there was a brand new refrigerator. The front desk workers were very courteous and prompt.

There were holes in the carpet in the room. The tub had massive chips & stretches all over. There was a hole in the back of the bathroom door. The carpet didn’t look like it had been vacuumed after the last person. There was left over used washcloth hanging on the shower rod but only found it when I went to shower. The shower head was caked with calcium build up, it legit hurt to shower due to the water pressure. The water temperature was all over the place, hot to cold to luke warm to hot to luke warm. The bedside lights did not work at all. The freezer in the mini fridge was not cleaned after the last stay, splatter food wasn’t cleaned up.

The overall maintenance of this facility was poor. The big problem was luke warm/cold water. When i complained the first time, the desk clerk said to run the hot ester for 10 minutes and it will be ok. We probably did that already, but i tried again and no improvement. When i told them the 10 minutes thing didn't work, it then appeared that the clerk i told this to gave instructions to another person to do something and then told me we will have hot water in 5 minutes. Indeed that did help but only for the first night. When we arrived back the second night the water out of the hot water side was cold. Holes in the carpet, sheets, and stains on the mattress rounded out the sleeping situation. Room numbers were taped on pices of paper. Luckily ours stayed on despite the substantial rain. Needless to say we wont be back.

This property was so nasty!!! Windows didn’t lock or the hotel room door!!! Mold , and bugs !!! Unmade stained beds and sheets !!! I wish I was able to share the photos..

There was no one at the front desk when we arrived. We waited 15 minutes, and someone finally walked in from outside to check us in. There were no washcloths in the room, and when we called the front desk, no one answered. Went to the front desk, and no one was there again. After waiting for 10 minutes, the clerk finally appeared again, but told us they did not have any washcloths. Overall, the room was dated but clean. Old mattresses were not very comfortable as they had "divots" in them from many sleepers. We would not stay here again.

I thought I had cancelled this property based through hotels.com; however, apparently there was a misunderstanding. I received a phone call from the property on Thursday and promptly returned the call. They were checking if we were going to arrive on Thursday instead of Wednesday. I explained that we were not going to make it and they OFFERED AND AGREED to not charge me for Thursday and Friday - only Wednesday (which I really didn't like but was trying to compromise). Next day entire cost of 3 night stay came across my bank account. NOT happy at all!!!

I thought it might be noisy but that was not the case. It was very convenient being just off the Interstate. The staff was courteous and efficient.

Our beds were fairly comfortable and the room was quiet. The place looked clean but didn’t feel very clean. The rooms and property in general felt in need of some maintenance and a thorough cleaning.

This property was completely misrepresented on the website. Pictures were nothing like what we were led to believe. No heating in room, peeling paint, chipped/destroyed countertop. Unclean. Staff would not refund. Due to poor conditions we did not stay. Trying to have charges reversed 😡

Besides the decor being very outdated, the hair dryer was broken, the refrigerator froze my food and soda, the one and only blanket was paper thin, there was limited functioning TV channels, and the heat was inconsistent. Would never stay there again and would think twice before ever booking a Days Inn in the future.

This property is very unclean and poorly managed. The first room I was checked into had not been cleaned, there were towels on the floor, the bed was unmade etc. The second room smelled heavy of cigarette smoke and the bed and bathtub had stains. I checked out after staying in the room for twenty minutes. I do not recommend.

They are redoing the outside but the rooms need some attention. The furniture is very beat up and the room could use a good cleaning.

It was obvious that the hotel was going through a remodel. However, we were not prepared for that when we rented the room. Construction workers started very early and the room was half painted. I’m sure it will be nice once everything is completed. Just wish they would’ve prepared us for it before we paid what we did for the suite.

I understand you were going through renovations, but tearing up the entire outside of the hotel was unnecessary and ugly. You should have done this in sections. Also, $250 a night was extremely expensive for what was provided. I had outside noise coming into my room very early in the morning and late at night. I would not come back to this property

The whole place is not fit for visitors. The room’s carpet did not have one area where there wasn’t a stain. It also was not vacuumed at all. The bathroom is filled with mold and mildew that I felt dirtier coming out of the shower than when I went in. Not only was there mold in EVERY corner of the bathroom, here was a piece of tile missing therefore The grout was crumbling and creating a pile of dirt on the bathroom floor. This place is a health hazard and should be shut down. There are renovations happening to the outside of the building and until the inside is renovated, no one should be allowed to stay. I’m surprised they pass inspection.

The Days Inn in Champaign needs refreshing. The room carpet was frayed, furniture had broken off pieces, towels were very thin and sheets were so thin virtually transparent. Exterior needed painting. On the positive the staff were pleasant. I was charged and taxed for safe that didn’t work and I did report it right away. Lastly, the room rate was outrageous for the low quality of the room. The first night was one price the next two were 3 times higher. I would not have minded so much if the room was of some quality. I expected better of a property with the Wyndham name attached to it. Very disappointed with the poor quality of the place.

Staff very nice and nice breakfast but facility is very run down especially carpet. Very dirty looking and past ability to clean with vacuuming. Also safety issues. No bar in shower, very slippery and no bath mat or floor mat.

Sofa bed was disgusting, dirty sheets with pee stains and rat droppings. I have pictures as proof. Reserved place for 6 ppl but only 4 stayed due to couple not wanting to sleep on filthy Sofa Bed!

The star are friendly. But the room furniture and bed linen are old. The blanket has sticky spot. The refrigerator is noisy. The shower head is leaking and water is weak.

The property is extremely dirty, things are broken and missing such as toilet paper holders, shower curtain, tv remote. The towels when you use leaves a fuzz behind. The floors are sticky and slippery in the bathroom, the walls have holes and are unfinished with paint. There are cracks in the foundation every where. We paid over $300 a night. We were not expecting anything great but not this! This owner should be shutdown! This is just atrocious or fix everything to an acceptable quality!!

This place is so run down, dirty, etc. The vinyl wood floor had huge gaps and was falling apart, the drain did not have a plug, the toilet did not have covers on the back part and was rusted and filthy. We went and bought our own towels and wash cloths as theirs were not clean. I would not even try to eat their breakfast looking at how gross the rooms were. The blanket under the thin white one was from the 70's. The picture of the rooms is not at all what you will get. I did check for bed bugs. We tried to cancel when we pulled up and saw it but they would not let us. There is what appears to be mold on the walls, the ceiling looked like it would fall in on us. I get when all places are full you are in a bind but this was awful!

The property looked like it was falling apart. The walls were peeling, floors were filthy, the jets in the tub had mold coming out of them and we had to run the water for 15 minutes to get it hot. There was no way to adjust the air other than turning the unit off. Wyndham needs to knock it down and rebuild. The outside of the building was atrocious, the door jam separated from the door so who knows what’s living in the walls.
