Our favorite place to stay on campus, although the breakfast could have more choices.

Immaculate bathroom, comfortable mattress, perfect temperature and humidity control in the room. Always an amazing place to stay. Worth every penny.

The hotel was pretty wonderful. The bed was cozy. The only reason for the four stars was the air. We couldn’t get the air cool enough in our room and woke up a few times sweating. It said the room was 68, but there was no way.

Like everything about it, clean room, breakfast, staff, and parking. Balance not to far and not too close to the main area we’re headed to.

Surprisingly good breakfast. Breakfast wraps, sausage and egg or veggie, boiled eggs, hot oatmeal, pastries, bagels... It was a bit overly crowded at the buffet, but the options were refilled quickly and there was plenty of seating. Overall we enjoyed our stay. If we need a hotel in that area again, we would stay there.

It was not communicated prior to reserving the room that everyone must be above the age of 21, so even though my husband (who reserved the room) was 21, since I was 20 the staff were rude and claimed that I apparently had to have “parents consent to stay” even though I am legally married. The staff were rude to my friends also who were in the same situation but instead of trying to work with us they often rolled their eyes and were short with us which wasn’t a good first impression. Once getting to the room after an hour check in, my husband noticed blood spots on the comforter, sheets, and pillow cases. The room was clean other than that. Fast forward to the morning, when my friends were trying to get their “complementary breakfast” the dishes and silverware were dirty with dried food on them. The stay itself was good but the staff (other than the young guy who finally got us checked in) were rude and inconsiderate.

Very close to the State Farm arena and very helpful/ friendly staff. I didn’t like how thin the walls were. You could hear everything from the rooms all around.

Best hotel experience I’ve had in a long time. The hotel was clean, staff friendly and welcoming, breakfast was delicious and convenient, bathrobes soft and toiletries nice. I generally hate hotels but would come back here for a getaway anytime!

I did not realize when I booked that the restaurant was closed on Sunday evenings. Breakfast did not start until 7:00 am by which time I had to leave. I did not see a gym.

The room and the whole place is clean and very well maintained. It’s a relaxing and cozy place to stay and we definitely plan to go back in the future. Some staff are great some are not. Breakfast is good but Fairfield and Illini Inn and Suites have better selections. But the comfort at I Hotel is excellent and is not comparable to the two places mentioned with better breakfast. So if possible I would definitely still choose I Hotel for our future stays in Champaign.

This is our go-to Hotel in Champaign. No other local accommodation compares to it.

The location was great for watching the marathon. Room is clean, comfortable bed, good included breakfast, and reasonably priced.

Breakfast menu is perfect, fresh and the right amount for breakfast, I always think about how hotels waste money in keeping several items and not focus on the quality of the items. I hotel And Illinois Conference Center deserves the credit for keeping minimal items with the decent quality.

Rooms are clean and updated. Parking is so easy. Staff is professional.

But please note that even though the hotel has "extended parking on-site" and a "24hr free roundtrip airport shuttle," it is not a "park-stay-fly" hotel. When I checked in, I asked about the extended parking, which was confirmed by the front desk. I also asked about the airport shuttle, specifically taking me to the airport the next morning and picking me up from the airport 5 days later. All of that was confirmed, including my flight details and my departure and arrival dates. It was only the next morning that the manager repeatedly informed me that they would tow my car away if they saw it in the lot at the same spot for a few days. I now understand that the "extended parking" only applies if you are also staying at the hotel for an extended period, and the shuttle is intended for guests who do not have a car, not as a convenience for guests who stay and park at the hotel. The manager was gracious enough to let me pass this one time, but I won't plan on this in the future. Too bad, as it soured my experience at the hotel. Side note, to quell the hotel management's concerns, I am clearly not a college student bound for a spring break destination. I am a 60-year-old senior executive, traveling to visit my 87-year-old mother. I truly hope my car is still in the "extended on-site parking" lot when I return.

I Hotel is like an Oasis

Our first stay at this hotel and will stay there again instead of our usual hotel when we’re in town. Exceptionally clean and amenities were very good, a definite hotel to stay at if you are looking for a hotel.

We were in town for a campus tour. This property worked out well being near the athletic facilities and walking distance to the various dorms and campus buildings. The rooms were quite parking was ample, the rooms were nice, the lobby was warm and inviting, and the attached restaurant (Houlihans) was well-kept and acts as the location for the complimentary breakfast. This is were the hotel fails guests. The breakfast food was subpar and minimal. We have found in our travels that Drury Inn and Suites along with Holiday Inn Express tend to offer a pretty decent complimentary breakfast. There are other hotels with similar offerings, but those 2 have been pretty consistent in our many travels across the country. I Hotel fell short in that department.

I was awakened at 2 am by loud bangs in the parking lot, which sounded like dumpsters being emptied I to a garbage truck. Also, there were two small lights near the ceiling that flashed all night. Other than these small inconveniences, everything was great. The room was exceptionally clean and the staff were perfect. Will stay again.

I enjoyed staying in iHotel during the NCAA conference championships. Friendly staff, free wifi, and breakfast were all great. I had a great rest in the comfortable and clean bed. I highly recommend. I should have made an appointment for the massage!

This was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, and thoughtful touches like complimentary bottled water made a difference. I also appreciated the convenient kiosk with snacks and drinks available for purchase. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was the fitness center, and it absolutely delivered — well-equipped, spacious, and more than adequate for a solid workout while traveling. The location is unbeatable if you’re attending an event at the State Farm Center. It’s so close that I didn’t have to worry about parking at all — just a quick, easy walk across the lot. Highly recommend. I would absolutely stay here again.

The hotel is lovely, especially the common area. It has a nice breakfast in the morning. The rooms are fine but look a little dated. The front desk people are nice.

Room was fine other than the numerous stains on carpet in room 420. We were first assigned to room 218 but asked for a new room because it stank like it was over deodorized maybe because someone smoked in there maybe? Just the same the smell made my throat itchy almost instantly.

The entryway and common areas are updated and fresh looking. Our room was clean and the staff were all pleasant. The gym is decent and we appreciated the complimentary bottled water found there and around the hotel. The complimentary breakfast is good, however it would be better if they could vary the menu. It was exactly the same 2 years ago when we stayed here last. Overall our experience was very positive and I would definitely come back.

The location is perfect

Walking in the lobby area encountered a rude manager. Short older man with glasses I presume was the manager. Our paths crossed and instead of stepping to the side he and an employee basically bumped into me without a pardon me or sorry. Clearly a sing of someone that doesn’t know anything about customer service.

There were no safety concerns, elevators were quick and staff were friendly. Was not impressed with the onsite Restaurant (Houlihan's) , and the complimentary breakfast, while appreciative of the convenience it was pretty minimal. The Starbucks coffee was the only good thing about it in my opinion. We would stay here again.

We took the Train up from Carbondale to Champaign and stayed here. Glad we chose this hotel. Everything has been great. Rooms are nice and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast had several good options along with Starbucks coffee. Easily accessible public transit stop right in front of the hotel to get around town. They also offer a free shuttle to and from the Amtrak stop. There are several good dining options within a mile of the hotel that are easily walkable. Thank you for a great stay!

The connectivity to the conference center where we attended an event was great especially in the cold wintry weather we experienced.

The room was clean as well as the towels and bedding. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The mini frig could have been colder and no microwave. The breakfast was very good, no cold scrambled eggs or breakfast meat. The egg burrito was great as well as the fresh fruit. The lobby was spacious, clean, and inviting. We would stay here again. The price was very reasonable.

Very nice hotel and nice rooms. But I just don’t understand the need to charge 100 dollars for the pet fee. I’ve been traveling with her for four years and never paid more than 50, usually 25. The couple extra minutes that housekeeping will spend on vacuuming some hair she shed doesn’t warrant $100

The room was very clean. The bed is just the right firmness with very soft pillows. They have 2 robes to use, complimentary bottled water and coffee. The hair blower, iron and shoe mitt comes very handy for last minute tidying up.

Some type of continuous fan (not the heating-cooling) was on ALL the time. I checked the bathroom, heating/cooling, etc, but could tell that the continuous noise was coming from another place (outside the room). Could hardly sleep with that noise.

The hotel is very nice and the rooms are great. My only complaint is about the breakfast. It's worse than the ones I've had at lower-priced hotels. I've stayed at the hotel twice, and the only thing you serve is a mediocre breakfast burrito and cheap pastries. Houlihan’s can do better.

This is a fantastic hotel. However, I would think they would have had more of a selection of hot food for breakfast since it's hosted by a restaurant. Just breakfast wraps for the most part. Otherwise, a great hotel experience.

I would stay here anytime for any event that the university has to offer!

This is probably one of the cleanest properties I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve been in a lot of hotels! Every nook and cranny was impeccably clean. And every single staff member was friendly, greeted everyone, and asked if we needed any help. Rooms were spacious and linens were good.

The room and hotel lobby were new, clean and spacious. However, the hotel only provided toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers upon our request. Not all receptionists were friendly. They responded to our queries in a slightly straightforward and impatient manner.

We loved the convenience of being an easy drive to our concert at the Virginia Theater last night (a Monday) and still close to visit campus town. We plan to stay here again, possibly for Ebertfest.

The staff were great and the room was clean. I enjoyed my stay, the breakfast could have been better. The choices were limited. I suggest eggs and a meat side with some kind of potato, just a suggestion. Thanks for the great service.

Great experience- courteous staff, spacious rooms, overall clean. Morning breakfast gets crowded on the weekends, probably more during back to school days, can be better managed.

Nice hotel, convenient location, friendly service. My only complaint is that parking was a challenge-they need to have dedicated parking for hotel guests because with an event going on in the conference center the parking is very full.

The attendants for breakfast were great! Very nice.

Looks old and a bit worn-out, had the worse breakfast ever in a hotel. Better not to have any there and pay somewhere else to have it.

This trip was booked last min. because of a family emergency. Although hubby and I spent a lot of time at Carle. The overall stay at the hotel was great. This will always be our go-to when we visit family. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast was delicious. We rarely eat breakfast at the hotel. I was able to sit outside and listen to the calming waters when my mind began to race. Thank you for making this part of our trip very enjoyable.

I was disappointed in the complimentary breakfast. They had difficulty keeping it replenished. It was taking too long and people were waiting. Not many gluten free options. I do appeciate that it was complimentary. Otherwise, My stay was perfect, quiet, clean, safe, all the essentials were provided in the room.

Overall the hotel is good. Very well maintained. Clean and comfortable. Staff are excellent. Location wasn't perfect but close enough to campus if you're willing to walk.

This hotel is modern and clean. I have stayed here before and enjoyed my stay. Just a head up: the bath room doors slide to close but do NOT close 100%. There is like a half inch opening between the wall and doo when fully closed due to the carpet and tile on the wall. And the bathroom doors do NOT lock. Just things to keep in mind if you are coming with friends or a new partner. Not as big a deal for a married couple.

This will be my go-to hotel whenever I visit Champaign-Urbana. The complimentary breakfast is well stocked with a wide variety of food including breakfast wraps when I ate there, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, etc. I didn’t eat dinner in the restaurant but it looked good. I had a king bed room and it was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Slept like a baby in the comfy bed. Only complaint is wish there was room service. It’s pretty close to campus but a little bit of a walk. Overall an excellent stay.

Restaurant was just ok. Room was nice. Bed was comfortable. It seemed as though no one was really that good at their job

It was a beautiful stay. Great restaurant! Entertainment was good. The only issue was breakfast was served at 7- much later than other places.

I’ve done a lot of business and personal travels and this is by far the best hotel experience I’ve had at any price point. Facility is new and clean, best shower ever, parking is easy (and free), room is quiet. In-room AC is quiet (which a lot of hotels several times as expensive can’t do). WiFi is fast and hassle free to connect to. I can comfortably say you can’t find a better hotel at 5x the price point.

I love the complementary bottled water. Such a healthy option for guests!
