Outstanding and supportive innkeepers! Wonderful Sunday breakfast buffet with fresh pastry from Rembrandts bakery and coffee shop.

Perfect stay, loved the historical setting and the location in the Arts District. Great experience at a B&B.
- 5/5
Beautiful room, great staff, fun area.
- 4/5
Very well decorated room. Great view of the Tennessee river from room. The bathtub/ shower and bed mattress needs to be updated or replace.
- 5/5
Really neat place to stay. Very friendly service and super comfortable room in a historic home overlooking thre Tennessee river.
- 5/5
Perfect accommodation in the historic arts district. Perched above the river, steps from the art museum and the pedestrian bridge across the river.
- 4/5
did not like the breakfast was served by a restaurant and not at the house. Not a homecooked meal and not even offered juice
- 5/5
A very quaint well managed property. A welcome change from corporate chain hotels with featureless rooms. A pleasant area of Chattanooga to stay in, enjoyed Tony’s for dinner one evening.
- 4/5
Beautiful location, unfortunately areas were closed off and couldn't be enjoyed. Room was layed out poorly, couldn't view the TV easily from any angle. Great views, lots of character.
- 5/5
It was impeccable. Felt like I was staying at a 5 star hotel.
- 5/5
Beautiful river view
- 4/5
Wonderful place. Lots of room. Easy to park. Cool enough to use the fireplaces. Easy walk to many places. Only downside was being here in the fall, they were blowing leaves before 7:00 a.m. Innkeeper was awesome!
- 5/5
Great location, coffee shop close by. Great views from the bluffs!
- 5/5
The innkeeper was amazing. She was friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. We loved everything about the house and art district.
- 5/5
Very lovely stay. Excellent view!! Very comfortable!! Will definitely stay again!!
- 5/5
Excellent accommodations. Friendly staff. Close to Chattanooga event locations. Breakfast was outstanding. Looking forward to our next visit and stay at the Inn.
- 5/5
The property was beautiful and quiet. The service was excellent. Will definitely return in the future.
- 5/5
The property could use some updates with peeling paint, etc. but was very nice and clean
- 5/5
No ice available lots of the time
- 5/5
This is a wonderful area of Chattanooga with a number of quaint shops and venues. From the continued information and warm welcome, to the food, everything was a fond experience.
- 4/5
For the price of room, expected a nice wine and cheese reception in afternoon.
- 3/5
Not really a bed and breakfast to our standard. Check in very impersonal-more like a hotel. No on site interaction or help. Breakfast was offsite at a small coffee shop. Extremely cold and impersonal overall. Room was nice but bathroom needed some updating. Overall disappointing for price and expectations for a B&B.
- 5/5
Beautiful property and gorgeous room. The fluffiest, most luxurious towels I’ve ever used. The staff was courteous and very helpful. Convenient location and delicious complimentary breakfast. Would definitely recommend to others. A

Tony's Italian restaurant was attached and excellent. Art museum, aquarium, riverside are all close and walkable. Lots of ambulance noise at night.
- 5/5
situated on the chattanooga river walk on a small bluff overlooking the tennessee river - it’s great to take stroll across the nearby pedestrian bridge to the north shore. the b&b is in one of several victorian (?) buildings which form the bluff view arts district comprising bakery coffee shop italian restaurant and art gallery. plenty of parking - really nice vibe just strolling in the area. very friendly and informative check in from georgia - the name of the lady! altogether a great stay. love chattanooga btw

The lodging was a classy and well maintained historic property. The staff was very responsive and friendly and knowledgeable. The included breakfast at their Rembrandt Café felt mass produced and the sausage and egg sandwich had a huge slab of spongy egg and flavorless meat. Had dinner at their Italian restaurant Tony’s which had the ambience of a college cafeteria with beat up wooden chairs and tables and there was a small pile of food and napkins on the floor next to our table from a previous patron that had not been noticed or cleaned up which I had to step over. The spaghetti and sausage I had tasted like the same sausage in the breakfast sausage sandwich which is to say nondescript. My wife’s fra diavolo had a total of 6 small shrimp. Thumbs up for a quaint and romantic inn with a nice art gallery on their “campus” and great scenic setting on a high bluff (hence the name) overlooking the wide Tennessee River. Thumbs down on the food. The free included coffee was decent.
- 5/5
I loved this neighborhood/building/room. It’s situated on a bluff over the Tennessee River, adjacent to the art museum and downtown.

History and amenities
- 5/5
It’s a beautiful renevated old home. It’s in a great part of town, close to pedestrian bridge over to North Shore. It’s nice that you can walk to restaurants and a nice park by the river. We enjoyed some delicious ice cream by the river.. We loved it and would highly recommend.
- 5/5
Location on the river.
- 5/5
The Bluff View Inn is an amazing place to stay! Beautiful rooms with antiques. Kelly was amazing! She is friendly and gave us wonderful recommendations for dinner and for where to go for antiquing! The free breakfast in the morning is hearty and delicious. The Italian restaurant, Tony's, has great food. I can not say enough great things about this location. We will definitely be staying here again and recommending it to all of our friends.
- 4/5
Lovely property close to everything.
- 5/5
Lovely place. Great location!

Beautiful Inn and so convenient to restaurants and bike paths. Great view of the river.

Beautiful place in a wonderful part of Chattanooga. I had not been to this city before and this place makes me want to return for a longer stay.

- 5/5
I love the area and the rooms are beautiful.
- 5/5
Loved our stay at Bluff View. Great location to walk to downtown and the north shore.
- 4/5
Georgia was very helpful in giving instructions on how to access the place! It was clean, easy to access, quiet, close to everything I needed, and price was great!
- 5/5
Kelly was great and went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay.
- 5/5
We HIGHLY recommend the Bluff View Inn!! The property is basically a whole block with 3 inns and several eateries. We were able to get reservations at Tony’s Pasta and walk right in. This is in the Art District, so there are plenty of sculptures to view and being right by the river is great as well. There is a bike rental station on the block, so we parked our car and rode bikes anywhere we wanted to go the whole weekend. We stayed in the Maclellan Room of the Thompson House which is right next to 2 of the restaurants. At first we thought it was going to be noisy but we hardly heard anything from outside. We love Chattanooga and now the Bluff View property is just one more reason why!
- 5/5
We had a fantastic time at this facility. It was within walking distance of many attractions. The staff was incredibly accommodating. Our check in lady Kelly did an awesome job addressing all our needs. The cleanliness is only matched by the charm of this place.
- 5/5
The Inn was great. Perfect location within an arts district that was walking distance to everything including the aquarium. Our host Kelly was extremely accommodating and helpful. You certainly won't beat the views from The Bluffs anywhere in Chattanooga. 10/10
- 5/5
Everything was far beyond my expectations as a first time visitor to the cory. Kelley was an excellent proprietor and I look forward to returning to Bluff View Inn.
- 5/5
We loved the atmosphere of the whole area!
- 5/5
Renovated Historic area with excellent location. We stayed in what I would call a B&B.
- 5/5
Is magical here. Everything is perfect, nice historic feel.
- 5/5
The furniture and view was so unique
- 5/5
It's a beautiful, old house, with antiques, fireplace, thick woodwork, wood floors. It's perfectly located at the arts district with restaurants, art galleries, art museum, aquarium, walk to everything. The riverwalk, sculpture gardens, Walnut street bridge, and the view of the river from the patio in the back are perfect! Stay here!
- 5/5
This is a classic high quality Inn and it's in a unique location overlooking the river, just 30 yards from art galleries, a great coffee house, the Hunter Museum, all just a few blocks from downtown & the North shore district.
- 3/5
We got a call on our way in from Kentucky Derby wanted to know what time we would be here because the Inn Keeper wanted to go home by 6 pm. Never got a call before in all of the places we have stay prior. When we got to the in she proceed to explain they owned the entire block about 4 times and how only patrons of Inn were the only ones to eat in their restaurants clearly this was not the case. The entire parking lot was filled and right after closing only a hand full of cars were left. The beds are ok, pillows were bricks, cob webs in the bathroom, there are no black out curtains so you see and hear the road noise, the light into the room all night. The AC is controlled by you but only to 68 degrees and no fan to circulate the air. Would not stay here again although in a lovely part of town and the food at Tony's was amazing. Not allowed to take any pictures either unless you have a permit of the grounds!
- 5/5
Excellent location. Great restaurant on site. Easy walking area and pedestrian bridge across the river to more restaurants and shops.
- 5/5
It was amazing! We stayed in the Art district and there was a shop with fresh chocolates, homemade breads and pastries, and a wonderful coffee shop. Tony’s Pasta was on site, an award winning restaurant, and we were able to reserve a table. The inn keeper was so nice and I will be returning soon! Everything was within walking distance-aquarium, museums, and cool places to sit down and have an ice-cream or you can walk along the river.
- 5/5
Just exceptional here...
- 5/5
It was in an historic arts district located on the bluffs. Incredible views of the river and north shore. The innkeeper allowed us to keep our bikes in the basement of the inn. It’s right on the path that goes along the Tennessee River.
- 5/5
Totally enjoyed our stay. Would definitely go back there again.
- 5/5
Each trip is a little better than the last one. So much to see & do.
- 5/5
Great find in the Chattanooga Art District. Quiet, quaint B&B, great service, great location and very nice room. Will definitely stay there again!
- 5/5
Wonderful building with scenic view. Staff was friendly and helpful. Facility was clean and well kept
- 5/5
Well appointed room in the heart of the art district. Very helpful front desk. Great area for walking.
- 5/5
It is always an adventure here. Each room is different with its own story to tell. Free parking, delicious food and an amazing view. You are walking distance to a multitude of attractions . Our third time here in five months. Great couples getaway.
- 4/5
Nice B&B in the art district. Beautiful view of river.
- 5/5
An amazing place to stay. You can travel back in time & enjoy the uniqueness of this beautiful historic inn on the river. The innkeeper makes you feel like royalty. Each room is so different. The food is fabulous as is the service. WE will return here whenever we can. You must try this place. You will keep going back!
- 5/5
The service from the staff (Georgia) was excellent. The only negative was the included breakfast -- the coffee shop is the only choice for this, and it is sort of self-serve. We did not even use it; after we saw it we went elsewhere.
- 5/5
We were able to leave our car parked and walked from the Inn everywhere we wanted to go. The Inn is absolutely beautiful! Our room was perfectly clean and spacious.
- 5/5
The Bluff View Inn was a charming B&B with comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff, and the dining options on-site were delicious! Had a wonderful weekend stay, and would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Perfect location for a Honeymoon or Anniversary Getaway.
- 5/5
Delightful stay...We’ll be back!
- 5/5
What a delightful Bed and Breakfast in a lovely walking area near shops and restaurants.
- 5/5
Our favorite place to stay in Chattanooga. We love it.
- 5/5
We loved the house we stayed in, the location and the staff were so very friendly. Dinner was marvelous at the Back inn. My only complaint was the pillow was very hard, but then I love "My Pillow" so I may be picky. Other than that it was fabulous and we would come again for sure!
- 5/5
Wonderful B&B location overlooking the river and steps from local destinations ( aquarium, art galleries, and museums). The BV Inn consisted of 3 historic, grand old houses serviced by the nicest folks and supplied with fresh baked pastries and fruits etc. at breakfast. The complex has 3 restaurants, coffee house and is convenient to access the 12 mile long river walk as well as pedestrian bridges to the opposite bank where shops, parks and art galleries provide wholesome family entertainment.
- 5/5
Beautifully restored and easily accessible from the road network and to the city with open views over the river. Very friendly and helpful staff.
- 5/5
The innkeepers were so very nice. Room was beautiful and comfortable. Houses were beautiful as well. Great location - easy to walk around town and safe area.
- 5/5
This was the highlight of our trip. It is the nicest bed and breakfast we've stayed in. The staff was very friendly. Everything was perfect. The only issue was having to walk to where breakfast was served but once we got there it was nice but not what I expected.
- 5/5
Great place for a couples getaway. Surrounded by excellent shops, restaurants and museums. Easy walk to the riverfront entertainment area. Glorious views of the river and mountains. Will stay here again for sure!
- 4/5
Breakfast in Bluff View Inn is only on Saturday & Sunday. Weekdays are given a very restrictive voucher for cafe across the street. One drink (coffee or juice, but not both). One main item and one side (bacon, sausage, or fruit, but can only choose one).
- 3/5
Very nice property with great staff. Only complaint was the bed was hard as a rock slab and the pillows harder than the bed.
- 4/5
It’s a very nice and clean place. It’s located right next to Tennessee River, beautiful view. The hotel has its own block which includes several buildings, restaurants and a bakery.
- 5/5
Amazing stay at a beautiful inn! It is the perfect location and the innskeepers were all amazing! Went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a great one. Delicious breakfast every morning at Rembrandts and top notch on-site restaurants. This location is the perfect place for walking around the city!
- 5/5
Everything was clean, staff was pleasant, helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
Beautiful historical home. Delicious breakfast, comfortable room and walkable to the downtown. We will definitely be back.
- 5/5
Felt like I was at home , and all the food options nearby
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, great location and yummy breakfast!
- 5/5
We have stayed at Bluff View Inn several times. Great view. Fantastic location. Great staff. One of our favorite places to stay.
- 5/5
Bluff view in was fabulous. Excellent location. Room was very comfortable and clean. Area around the inn is very interesting. Lots of art displays and a wonderful museum. Hadn't planned for them but managed to cram them into a very busy sightseeing schedule. A definite bonus. The coffee shop was one the best I've ever experienced. Dinner at Tony's was terrific. Only stayed for 2 nights but loved every minute of my visit to Chattanooga. Would definitely love to come back and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.
- 4/5
Quiet, good parking, beautiful scenery. Convenient to downtown.
- 5/5
Beautiful property in the old part of Chattonooga. Wonderful complex facilities, with staff that go that extra mile.
- 5/5
Although our stay was interrupted because of a water main break downtown, the staff at Bluff View were so helpful and accommodating. They helped us book a room with another local B & B, who honored Bluff View’s rate for us. What could have been disastrous was only a bump in the road! I would recommend Bluff View for anyone wanting the Bed & Breakfast experience while also staying close to attractions like the TN Aquarium and the Walnut Street Pedestrian Bridge. Lots of perks included!
- 5/5
We selected this for location (walkable to music fest in Coolidge park) and good ratings - very comfortable pretty area - right across from Hunter Art Museum - good breakfast on weekend - coffee shop vouchers on weekday that was fine (actually had great stuffed french toast). this is an old inn - so you hear some creakn of wood etc but thats fine - very nicely decorated, comfy king bed - they put coffee out in am for you and ice and soft drinks in afternoon. Chattanooga downtown has come a long way!
- 5/5
Bluff View Inn is a unique arts complex in a very special setting overlooking the Tennessee River, with amazing outdoor sculpture and excellent restaurants, and adjacent to a world class art museum. Our room had a lot of character and was comfortable. We would have loved to stay longer!
- 5/5
Great service, very nice. Mostly quiet with a little neighborhood noise. Free and adequate parking for guests. We didn’t need to move the car at all because coffee and restaurants and museum and shopping were all on the property. Easy walk down to the aquarium, and took a Lyft back up the hill. Don’t miss the tomato and artichoke soup at the Rembrandt coffee house.
- 5/5
Wonderful all around, only minor problem was no towels in the bathroom. Just a small mistake by a new housekeeper - other than that, it was perfect!
- 5/5
We like the location ,view, and restaurants in the Art district The room was very nice and the bed comfortable. .. We visited the art gallery store and ate at Paul's.
- 5/5
The inn was lovely and unique—my husband and I had a great anniversary weekend there. Our 3rd floor Gentry room had an amazing view of the Tennessee River. We would love to return!
- 5/5
Staff very helpful. Great location.
- 5/5
great all around. the location, the cleanliness and the place is awesome. the bed was not comfortable for me, but that was just for me.
- 5/5
Check-in was super fast and we were shown our rooms. We stayed on the third floor so we got some help taking up the luggage. The view of the river was super and the room was very nice. We were running late so didn't get to tour the property like we would have liked but they have a bakery nearby that served breakfast. I am gluten free and they understood the diet and had pastries which were safely made and displayed. The block is owned and operated by a family so I felt very safe and it seemed that everyone we met was helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
Great area...Nice walking areas and restaurants!!!
- 5/5
Wonderfully presented property that provided a restful experience in beautiful surrounds.
- 5/5
The stay was amazing. The views and the area were wonderful. Great Anniversary trip.
