Reviews
The hotel staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. The location is also a highlight, with many guests appreciating its proximity to downtown and local restaurants. However, noise is a common complaint, both from inside and outside the hotel. Some guests also express dissatisfaction with the cleanliness and condition of the rooms, particularly the bathrooms.

Great location. The hotel is an old-school style hotel that is well maintained. The rooms are basic, but clean. I did not use the pool area. The bar area is a nice touch for the evenings. They are going for a retro vibe, and do a good job pulling it off. It will remind you of the hotels/motels of the 1970’s/80’s because that is what it is. A great no-frills, clean, affordable option with a convenient downtown location. The staff was friendly and helpful to me. I would stay there again.
- 5/5
It's definitely a nice hotel to just chill and enjoy the area without breaking the bank
- 5/5
This hotel is amazing. I’ve traveled all over the world and this hotel rivals a 5 star I stayed in in Türkiye a few years ago. It’s laid out well and perfectly positioned in downtown Chattanooga to access all things fun there. The staff is incredible. I checked in during an emergency and the front desk clerk noticed my distress, asked me if I had been harmed, and what she could do to help me feel safe. I sobbed at the kindness of this stranger and she walked around the desk and asked if I needed a hug and I did! She made sure I knew she was available if I needed her or other staff. Also, the pool is perfect. By 3 pm the sun is low enough it becomes shaded so I would swim without sunscreen. Everything was super clean, everyone was super nice and I needed that hotel more than I realized! Even made an amazing memory with my 91 years old Mamaw cause she came to stay with me there.
- 5/5
We loved the retro vibe and helpful staff. The complementary Moon Pie & RC Cola, along with their story was a neat touch. Included breakfast was great. The room was very clean. This may seem trivial, but we found the bench seat with hooks to be the most practical piece of furniture in a hotel room.
- 5/5
Didn't take part in the breakfast. Stay was very enjoyable.
- 5/5
This is such a neat little spot! A retro redo to revitalize an older property. The staff is amazing! You can't beat the value for your room and parking. The location is extremely walkable to downtown attractions and restaurants. We love staying here when we are traveling in the area!

Great location, cute hotel, retro vibe, good muffins/coffee in the morning. Would definitely stay here again next time in Chattanooga
- 5/5
Nice and clean. Walking distance to downtown. Great muffins, fresh fruit and coffee for breakfast.

If my husband had not been with my son and I- I would have been uncomfortable.
- 5/5
We had a great short stay. It was a great location. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was refreshing. We enjoyed the small perks like a muffin on Saturday morning and lemon kiwi water and cookies of Friday. We were very happy with our stay.

Excellent location, comfortable modern decor room, firm bed, quiet. Friendly, helpful staff. Extra charges for parking
- 3.5/5
Didnt like the fact that there was “HIDDEN PARKING FEES” per night of stay. This hotel will charge a cancellation fee if cancel at last minute but will wait til last minute ( when u register in at the hotel) to have the person tell u about “PARKING FEE”! This is horrible that this hotel scam customers this way! Cant believe i had to pay to park at a hotel where i pay to stay. Just horrible!!!!
- 5/5
It was very convenient to downtown Chattanooga and surrounding attractions
- 5/5
The check in was easy & the lady at the desk was very friendly. The property & our room were very clean. It is not a fancy hotel. However if you need a safe, clean & comfortable place to stay this is it! The location was fantastic. It was easy to find & walking distance from lots of restaurants, bars & shopping. The pool is nice & I saw them clean it while I was there, it's maintained well. They had complimentary coffee, muffins & fruit in the lobby for breakfast. It's downtown so be prepared for city noise. ☺️
- 4/5
This is an interesting property. It’s an old 70’s roadside motel that’s been renovated and redesigned to make it look like a 70’s roadside motel. It’s definitely kitschy and cool, just understand what you’re booking before you do. It’s not the Ritz, but it’s not trying to be. It was very clean and the rooms are well appointed. The beds are comfortable and the property was generally quiet (it’s in a busy part of town, so some noise was expected). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Marquita at the front desk was a pleasure to deal with and made my initial impression of the hotel and the check-in process a good one. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and if I’m back in Chattanooga, I would certainly look to the Hotel Bo for another stay.
- 2.5/5
The location was excellent! It was right off the exit and an easy walk or short drive to key places downtown. Check-in staff was friendly. The whole place was attempting a cute retro vibe. This hotel was absolutely not worth the price we paid for it! We booked this place at the last second after the original hotel we booked was so filthy we asked for a refund and left. So already our standards were low coming in. On top of the $100+ for the room, we were charged an extra $12 for parking that we were not expecting (that was not reflected on the booking page). In all, with the cost of the room, taxes, fees, etc we paid over $130 for a low-rate motel room. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was how filthy looking the pool was. For some reason it almost looked black and there was definitely nobody in it. There were also a bunch of bikers hanging around outside smoking which was unpleasant to walk through. We walked into our room and were instantly met with a funky smell that never went away. There was hair on the sheets when I pulled the comforter back, grime on all the lamps, the shower room was disgusting with a ripped up curtain, cracks all over the walls, mold in the drain cover, and stains on the walls. Again, over $130 we paid for this dump. We went out for dinner and when we came back, there was a big pile of dog sh** outside our door. I know that's not technically the motel's fault, but it is a testament to the kind of people who stay there. Fortunately we only had to stay there for one night and will likely not ever be booking there again!
- 5/5
Everything about our stay was fantastic! We will definitely be back.
- 0.5/5
Nothing! Bad location and homeless people and just a sketchy feeling and felt very u safe! I didn’t even get out of my car! I left and went to a different hotel!!
- 5/5
Location ,cleanest room
- 1.5/5
Easy to get to and close to the attractions I planned on seeing There was no plug for the tub and when I woke in the night and turned on the light there was a cockroach on the floor
- 5/5
So kind and were amazing! Best hotel for your buck. They allow late check in too. I’m only staying here the next time I come back.
- 5/5
Funky vibe. Cool colors The interstate is fairly close and noisy.

- 4/5
Great location for access to tourist areas of Chattanooga and close to the US27 and I24 to get places. Very comfy beds and room features. Breakfast was free muffins and coffee in the reception area also which was useful. Quite a lot of noise from the outside with the main roads so kept being woken by emergency services going by but wouldn't put me off staying again.

- 4/5
Pool wasn't open. But the staff were super helpful and Barbara the GM was fantastic. I stayed in room 201 and it was very damp.
- 3/5
The patio breakfast area was GREAT! The parking was awful, very limited spaces and extremely tight parking spaces. Several cars did not have the dash parking pass that we were required to pay for with our hotel room.
- 5/5
Clean room, excellent staff great hospitality! Complimentary champagne and strawberries on arrival. A big plus, dog friendly!
- 4/5
Very friendly staff. Rooms could use a little work in the bathrooms. Overall good for the price.
- 5/5
Be prepared to pay for parking for your stay. Other than that its a great place to stay. Its our second year staying there
- 4/5
Very swanky motel. Cute bright colors and very eye catching .I was wiped out from driving and found the staff had left an RC cola and a delicious white Moon Pie in the room. That was a nice touch for the welcome. The bed was comfortable and had an ample amount of pillows. Cable TV with a nice assortment of channels. You do have to pay for parking in the lot or else you have to street park. That is the only drawback I could find. Breakfast was fruit and muffins and delicious coffee. I didn't use the pool. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
Free location was great. Just a short few minutes frim a charging station for my Tesla. Although everything was fine, I will actually it more a motel that a hotel but I had a good night sleep to continue with my journey to the northeast of the country.
- 5/5
Employees where pleasant, but wasn’t told that the breakfast in the building was going to be open to purchase breakfast in the morning. But overall it was nice
- 5/5
Clean fast and affordable. Staff was excellent, very friendly.
- 5/5
It was a bit old but very clean and friendly for an overnight stay
- 5/5
Very kind staff and clean rooms
- 5/5
Room maintainance and everything is good but breakfast is not provided. Everything is better.

- 5/5
The room was very clean, I appreciated there was no carpet in the room. And the parking was good.
- 5/5
Will staybhwre again !!
- 4/5
It's probably the best cost to proximity ratio you will get in Chattanooga. I actually had a sprained toe during this trip, but my wife and I still managed to walk just about everywhere we wanted to go. Even if you didn't want to, it's right next to a bus stop, making it really opportune for a really cheap price.
- 5/5
Great place with free shuttle on the doorstep, staff friendly and helpful eith a well drocked very reasonably priced bar. Small pool area not crowded in May and again well maintained and relaxed
- 5/5
Everything you need!
- 5/5
Restaurant was having mechanical issues with kitchen equipment so the food they served was not great.
- 4/5
It was clean, the pool looks a little dirty until you realize its because of the color of the lining. Pool was great! The oven was broken at the bar that's on property so I didnt get to try the food but the drinks were great! You cant beat happy hour! The bed was stiff. If you love harder beds you'll love them. Instead of full pillows it was multiple smaller square ones. They were heavy and stiff like the bed. Staff was very friendly, place was nice for the price. Great location. We went for the aquarium and it was just a short nice walk from the hotel, maybe 15 minutes. You do have to pay for parking at the hotel.
- 4/5
Convenient location and mid-century feel. Cool bar scene and yummy breakfast. Some street noise and limited parking were only negatives.
- 5/5
As always this property never disappoints! Convenient everywhere we wanted to go! I feel safe here!!! Rooms are super clean
- 5/5
Near downtown great room and bar is a added plus.I would stay there again
- 5/5
The hotel overall was very comfortable and clean. Each staff I met was very friendly and helpful and the front desk took real good care of me from Beginning to check out. Now the maids not so socialable no one ever spoke but my room was sparkling so at the end of day that is what matters. I will come back again
- 4/5
Room was clean, parking is very easy, and location is convenient and walking distance to downtown.
- 5/5
The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding. From the lobby to the rooms and common areas, everything was spotless, fresh, and very well maintained. It was clear that great attention is given to keeping the property clean and comfortable for guests. Parking was also very convenient, with easy access and plenty of space, which made coming and going stress-free. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Comfortable accommodations, amazing staff, excellent breakfast, top-notch cleanliness, and convenient parking made this an experience we will definitely remember. We highly recommend staying here and look forward to returning in the future!
- 5/5
All points of contact were super nice and helpful.....room was clean and tidy......
- 5/5
Great value. Centrally located. Great staff.
- 5/5
Clean room, very comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff
- 4/5
Very clean, basic place to stay in expensively. No real complaints, but nothing to get excited about either.
- 3/5
One of the highlights of my stay was the staff—they were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my visit. Their customer service definitely made a positive impression. Unfortunately, the breakfast was a major letdown. The setup was not appealing, and the selection was very limited. It didn’t feel inviting or satisfying, and it’s an area that really needs improvement. In summary, while the cleanliness and staff stood out in a good way, the condition of the room and the breakfast experience could be significantly improved.
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Bo. The staff are kind and helpful the pool was clean and they had a great little bar with outdoor seating. The rooms are very basic with very loud air conditioning and the sound proofing between rooms is non existent with only thin doors separating rooms.
- 5/5
We had a great weekend here. Staff and room were great!
- 5/5
This was our second stay at the BO and just like the first time, the room was clean and comfortable, the grounds were clean and well lit and the staff was great!
- 5/5
Clean room/ Friendly staff/ complimentary muffins and coffee/ conveniently located/ great rates
- 5/5
room was clean and bed was comfy. staff was so nice. thank u for a great stay
- 3/5
They charge you 12$ to park a car which is not disclosed on hotel’s website. Should be included because everyone is driving!
- 4/5
The staff was very attentive to our needs which was nice. I did see a few minor things that needed repair ,nothing crazy. I would not mind staying there again.
- 1/5
Do not recommend. Loud. Terrible staff.
- 4/5
Everything was pretty nice but I was bummed to see there was no soap provided in the room. There is the bodywash in the shower but id also like a bar wrapped and available for me to use at the sink area. Also my door would close but the bottom half of the frame left a bit of a sliver to the outside which I think made the sound from the pool area even louder, so better sealing on the doors would be great. Otherwise Staff were very nice and helpful and I liked the vibe of the place, would come back again and rate 5 star if these issues were addressed 👍
- 4/5
Yes
- 4/5
I like the location. The beds were comfortable. The web site was misleading. Tere clld have been some protein at breakfast like yogurt.
- 4/5
The staff at the front desk and the bar were very accommodating
- 4/5
We stay at this hotel every year when we come to Chattanooga for an event that is close by. The beds are comfortable and our rooms are always clean. The only issue that we have with this hotel is the parking. You pay for parking but if you get back late, you will not find a parking spot. I hope that the hotel can resolve this issue soon.
- 5/5
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and in good shape.
- 1/5
While the staff was friendly and the room was clean, the location by the highway and the doors located on the outside of the building was very unsettling. We actually left after an hour and didn’t return. We got another hotel where we felt safe.
- 4/5
Nice basic room. Great location and a great bar.
- 5/5
Great muffins and coffee
- 5/5
There was seating around the pool. It was to cold to enjoy it. The room was nice, bed was good. I disliked that there was an additional $12 parking fee.
- 5/5
Charming vintage style. Room was very clean and staff super nice.
- 4/5
Well located, staff was very pleasant, great price..I will use them again
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay. Front desk staff was helpful and nice and I’d stay here, again.
- 3/5
This is really a motel not a hotel. It’s old and the renovations are minimal. We had a hard time finding parking despite paying an extra fee for parking in their lot. The bed was uncomfortable and there was a lot of noise from the neighbors as well as the parking lot. Check in staff was very nice but the check out staff was not as friendly.
- 4/5
Great value for the money. Excellent location. Very friendly staff. Everything was clean, but the property is showing some wear and tear. Would certainly stay here again at the price paid.
- 5/5
Great location and friendly staff.
- 5/5
The front desk staff Marquita provided us with excellent service. She was patient and willing to help us find the room that best suited our needs. We will definitely book again.
- 4/5
Staff was excellent and helpful in every way. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Only problem we had was finding some place to eat nearby. Lots and f restraints but most were very pricey or did not have food to our liking. All in all we had a good stay in Chattanooga.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing. Location was eccentric. Room was clean.
- 5/5
Our trip would not have been so special if we had stayed somewhere else. Everyone there was so friendly and kind to my children and I. The guests that were staying with us were also so pleasant to be around. We'll be staying here again.
- 4/5
Good place
- 5/5
Love love love this place!!!!
- 5/5
It was a great place to stay close to downtown
- 3/5
Room was clean, however there was a crack under the door in which we tried to put a towel around. There are restaurants in walking distance, but several homeless people around the area.

- 3/5
Ridiculous to have a parking fee in the very own parking lot right in front of the building. Poor breakfast. Coffee was surprisingly good although they had crummy coffee mate with it. Staff was helpful.
- 3/5
Parking was a nightmare. Had to create parking spots and hope to not get towed. Beds were uncomfortable and tiny.
- 5/5
The staff was SO lovely and the vibe of the whole place is just excellent! Really cute and incredibly well located! The room was comfy (tho the walls felt a little thin) and very clean, and the a/c in there was great, which was nice because it was a sticky afternoon when we arrived. Their late check-out policy was a lifesaver and while parking was a little bit tight it was still very convenient.
- 5/5
Pool was great heated did not eat all they had were like muffins
- 5/5
Great little retro place only half a mile down from our concert. We'll stay here again
- 5/5
They do charge 15.00 for parking which I really don't understand because we pay to stay there🤔 Nice little restaurant on premise but a little high in price, pillows are super thick and I'm a flatter pillow person but I will stay here again
- 5/5
Liked everything
- 5/5
Amazing staff/front desk receptionist, Ashley, was very helpful before I arrived. She made it a wonderful experience. The room was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
I gave it a high rating and that is influenced by great value for the price. We usually stay in suites but since we were literally in the hotel just to sleep, we went with this place. This place has the vibes of a supet nice 1960s hotel/motel with the cleanliness of a high end hotel. Retro feels, modern bedding and amenities. There wasnt one grain of dirt anywhere, not even under the furniture. Most high end places could never boast that. Good sized tv, fridge. Doors open to an open patio with a view of the city. Plenty of storage. The staff was super pleasant and added to the vacation vibes. They should ditch the uniforms and go with badges for a more professional while casual look. 17 minute walk to the aquarium or you could take the shuttle thats just next door.
- 5/5
Great room and hotel for the price.
- 1/5
This property is atrocious. It should be a Motel 6. It was filthy, there were homeless people fighting in the parking lot, someone was throwing bricks over the side at the parked cars. My grandson and I booked this hotel based of the the previous ratings. We were too scared to walk to our room. We left and booked a room at the Westin.
- 3/5
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Had to pay to park nightly and pay for breakfast, not free or included. Bed was comfortable.
- 3/5
Old days inn, paper thin walls.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean hotel and room. Heated pool. Next to the free bus/trilly stop. Walking distance within all things downtown. Great price.
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff
- 5/5
Great staff & clean room
- 4/5
Good atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff. Great location - close to restaurants and attractions. I’ll definitely stay there again👍
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly. The hotel was clean and had everything we needed.
- 4/5
Cute, convenient, budget friendly, comfortable bed. There was a huge group checking in ahead of me, so that took much longer than expected, but otherwise it was a good stay.
- 5/5
The lady who checked us in last night was very kind and polite
- 5/5
Love d it
- 3/5
The property was okay. We felt like we could not get good sleep. The walls are extremely thin you can hear the next room and upstairs. You can also hear everyone by the pool and workers early.
- 3/5
Yes there was shops
- 3/5
The property staff friendly but some of the guest were so very disrespectful. We chose to stay on pool side but the guest decided to party at the pool and were extremely loud and was unable to get a good night sleep. They did not stop till wee hours in the morning. sounded like they beat the door with something a few times.
- 5/5
The location was great for local food and shopping.
- 5/5
Always clean and reliable. Chattanooga is a great city.
- 5/5
Arrived Early, but they let me check in and gave a very nice. Room his a remodeled Days Inn, but it's super close to everything Downtown and easy parking (but not free)! Also Tiffany at the front desk is super sweet and happy to help.
- 3/5
not a microwave in room. Not a lot of places to eat
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly and helpful. With great suggestions for dinners and things to do. Room and grounds were clean and nice. We loved our stay!
- 1/5
I didn’t stay I was booked at this hotel by mistake I stayed in hickory I couldn’t possibly stay in two places at the same time I’m being charged for Chattanooga Tennessee by mistake
- 4/5
Convenient and staff was helpful
- 5/5
Well located hotel, close to Choo Choo and downtown area, with a free shuttle in between. Request a room facing inside, it feels "safer," event though the area is pretty safe. $12 daily parking rate, which is way less than any hotel in the area. Room was basic, but spotless, comfortable, water pressure was good.

No hot water at all. When we got to the hotel to check in, I noticed the water pressure was low in the bathroom of the lobby. I asked the lady at the front desk before I checked in, was this gonna be a problem? She said no they were working on it as we speak. After eating and visiting around downtown Chattanooga, we went back to the hotel to shower and get ready for the next day and it was absolutely no hot water. We are a family of our my youngest being 9 years old. I went to the lobby told the guy and it was absolutely nothing he could do, just kept saying sorry. We came to Chattanooga to enjoy a day for my birth month. I normally don’t do motels, but I thought we’re only gonna be here for a day. It’s in a great location. The ratings were wonderful and boy were we wrong. Not to mention the homelessness that was hanging out across from the hotel and people being loud in the parking lot late through the night. The room also had an off smell, which I asked the front desk if the hotels were non-smoking, and he assured that it was.We couldn’t even hang our coats on the rack because the whole rack was badly rusted. No apology, no compensation, no anything for the disgrace of the room. We will most definitely not be back visiting that motel.
- 3/5
Hot water wasn’t working. Went to front desk and was told maintenance was on the way. Had to leave. Asked for something for my trouble and was offered nothing.
- 5/5
Great little place to stay and close to everything. Lots of charm. The restaurant was not great but everything else was.
- 4/5
Room was great, clean.
- 5/5
The room were remodeled from the last time I stayed. The staff and amenities are still under construction but overall stay was very nice Very centrally located to downtown not to busy but can walk or ride the free shuttle to get around
- 4/5
The front desk and bartender were really nice
- 3/5
The beds were great. The bathroom could use some work. The property seemed in decline
- 5/5
Everything was excellent as before. I loved staying here; it’s convenient to the convention center and has good breakfast!
- 5/5
Very polite staff, especially the bartender
- 5/5
The hotel is clean and conveniently located. It’s nothing fancy. But is has good rooms for a good price
- 4/5
The room was clean. The only complaint was the hot water. The sink hot water was really hot but the shower was barely warm.
- 5/5
Very clean. Amazing staff. Everything was awesome. Planning on coming back next year - will definitely book again
- 4/5
Clean room, friendly staff,
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable. Don't love having to pay for parking in addition to the hotel room. No breakfast provided. The adjoining restaurant wasn't open the day I was there.
- 5/5
The rooms were very clean.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Clean, and close to the Convention Center
- 5/5
Very cute location. Every room I have stayed in has been good. I’ve been four times and have stayed on all 3 floors. They have an elevator in the lobby and stairs line both ends of the building. Vintage decor highlighting moon pie cakes and RC colas. It’s our go to spot in Chattanooga. Close to all attractions
- 5/5
The muffins were great but that was all not even any tea
- 3/5
Building shows some signs of wear, but the room was clean and the area very walkable.
- 4/5
Every morning free coffee and muffins.
- 3/5
Muffins were good but it was noisy and the pillows were not good
- 4/5
Great vibe, staff, and amenities!
- 5/5
We stay here all the time with our dog when we visit the east coast and we absolutely love staying here. Husband loves the moon pie and rc cola in the room. Room is clean, staff is WONDERFUL and we love the location.
- 5/5
and room is clean and there is good bar!
- 4/5
Location was great for downtown
- 5/5
Great location and friendly staff!
- 1/5
Very noisy, Door had gaps, Bathroom wasn't the cleanest. Felt very unsafe
- 5/5
Clean rooms
- 4/5
Tge room was spotless and staff was kind.
- 4/5
There was no breakfast. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable but the draft coming from around the door was cold. We put a towel on the floor to stop the bottom draft but we didn’t have any way of stopping the draft down the side.
- 3/5
The room was ok, staff was good.
- 4/5
The corridors are outdoors. You can hear traffic. There is a respectable bar on premises that plays music until 11 or midnight. There is breakfast. For the price, and downtown location, you decide.
- 2/5
It’s was awful . The rooms with bugs . Not safe with children
- 5/5
Good place
- 5/5
Also the room was very clean
- 3/5
This is a clean and convenient hotel with easy parking. There are several good eateries and bars nearby. I felt safe walking.
- 4/5
Quick, easy check in. Room was spotless. Needing nice. We’ve stayed here 2-3 times when visiting our daughter in college. It’s not a Hilton, but for the diff in price, a safe bargain. Close to everything! $10 parking was a surprise. Why? This is no resort.
- 3/5
It was ok. Nothing special. They were making changes at the restaurant/bar. Not much food available.
- 5/5
Staff were friendly and helpful. Super clean and comfortable rooms and the beds were amazing!
- 4/5

- 5/5
This has been my second stay at Hotel Bo. I will continue staying at this hotel for any future visits to Chattanooga!
- 5/5
Great place to say, but sure why I had to pay for parking though.

Everything was great! The only thing…the battery was removed from the smoke detector and not replaced. Everything else was great. Comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower, cute bar by the pool and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
I ADORE this hotel! Not only is the retro theming on the next level, but the service, ease of check in and out, and comfort are also next level!
- 5/5
Great value and convenient location
- 5/5
Pleasant staff, large clean room. Short walk to Sailors & Soldiers Auditorium for concert.
- 4/5
Staff was very nice. I did not like the pillows. Too small. Amenities need to include a microwave in the room.
- 4/5
Great staff and coffee in the foyer was excellent too.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Staff was great. Air condition is loud.
- 3/5
Older motel that has been updated with paint and furniture. Bed had some kind of a spring system in the mattress that made it squeak every time someone moved. Gap around the outside door. Basic accommodation..
- 3/5
We stayed for two nights. The bed was very comfortable. Location is great. For a remodeled motel, it’s not bad at all. A bit of cosmetic upgrades in the bathroom would go a long way. BUT - the cleanliness is top notch! And the staff are great!
- 5/5
It's kitchy
- 5/5
Great staff, great room, great location
- 5/5
The parking was easy, right up against the building. If it is full there is street parking in front. There is a fee but I don’t even care because that’s how worth it this hotel was. Right of the bat, the lobby is an important impression, right? The employees were so kind and thoughtful. My family and I had a rough experience at a hotel we stayed before coming here. So to be thought of in such a carrying way really meant a lot. Bonus, the elevator works! We picked a city view on the third floor. The room is just adorable. Clean, love the decor, modern, well maintained. My kids took a dip in the heated outdoor pool allowing my husband and I to relax in the room or visit the bar area. The bar area is visible from the pool so that was reassuring. The lobby associate was so kind to my kids too. One of them asked for towels and they got beach towels! A lot of things are in walking distance which I loved. We are from a big city so to be able to do that here in Chattanooga was important to us. Now so fine details. Everything in the room worked. Tv, great water pressure in the shower, plenty of towels. We did not try the extra items like the iron or hair dryer so I can’t speak on that. Knowing how lovingly we were treated though, I bet if it didn’t work we could have gotten replacements. This hotel was pampering on a level I had never received from a hotel before. So thank you!
- 5/5
Great experience!
- 5/5
The cutest boutique motel ever. Great location. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The lobby bar was fun and poppin. I will def be back and would recommend to anyone.
- 3/5
This hotel is fine. But for the price, I expected a lot more. It's a nice two star hotel. But for the price and the great reviews, I was expecting much more. This is just an old hotel, nothing fancy. Unless you need to be close to this area, drive a few miles out and pay less. Also, to be charged and additional $10 per day for parking was sort of ridiculous. Clean enough, just old and overpriced.
- 5/5
We absolutely loved it here the staff was wonderful!! Beautiful place very clean!
- 2/5
Bath tub had a ring around it, bathroom door fresh coat of pain, yet door in extreme bad shape. Basically, looked like a quick makeover had been done, slap paint on it, without the preparation work done and it showed. Was noisy! We both did not sleep well and used ear plugs.
- 4/5
Great location in Downtown Chattanooga, walking distance to restaurants, historic sites, etc. Front desk was amazing, helpful and pleasant. There was some street noise and the room I was in didn't have a microwave, but overall, it was a lovely stay, and I would stay again!
- 5/5
Room was clean & ready to go. The parking lot was full but they made room for our car. This is a good 2 star hotel to stay at.
- 5/5
updated motel-style place that was well maintained & very friendly staff. room was clean & comfortable. only complaint was limited breakfast w/only muffins & coffee but overall a nice place & i would stay again.
- 5/5
Pet friendly and clean room. Very friendly staff.
- 5/5
Outstanding customer service, friendly staff
- 5/5
Tiffany was amazing
- 3/5
Good for basic stay
- 5/5
The room was very clean. My kids loved the pool and especially the easy access.
- 5/5
Jody, who ran the lounge area, was very professional, friendly, and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel!
- 4/5
Clean! Easy to walk anywhere downtown Chattanooga The only recommendation I would give is when the hotel is not completely full, You shouldn’t put a couple alone next to a family with several children. It was loud and didn’t have to be.
- 4/5
Enjoyed our stay
- 4/5
Our only complaints were the lumpy pillows and after paying $20 for a late check out the house cleaning staff still harassed us all morning banging on the door demanding we check out.
- 5/5
Friendly Nice pool
- 5/5
Clean and comfy room. Fantastic staff. Great place to stay.
- 5/5
I was there to see a concert at the Soldiers and Sailers Auditorium and it was an easy 10 minute walk to the venue.
- 5/5
Comfortable and clean motel. Good sized room. Restaurant on site. Walking distance to bars/restaurants. Parking available
- 2/5
Good location. But no microwave in hotel rooms . Breakfast is not continental either, just coffee and muffins
- 5/5
Very clean
- 1/5
The staff was the best part other then that this was stinky cosmetic problems covered patchy had a not prepaid I would have walked away and stayed somewhere else
- 5/5
Lots of food nearbh
- 5/5
Front desk staff were super nice & helpful.
- 5/5
Have stayed there before and although didnt like beigh by the stairs it was great. Right near the convention center like we needed.
- 4/5
The entire downtown area is within walking distance of the hotel, and the staff was wonderful. You can tell the hotel is older with some renovations, but it serves it's purpose.
- 4/5
The rooms were clean. Staff friendly. Gym needs to be updated.
- 4/5
I selected this hotel because it was located nearby the convention center. I was attending an event and found the hotel conveniently located.
- 4/5
Feel safe
- 5/5
Very great spot
- 5/5
It's an older building, so there's some minor flaws, but it was clean and the staff was all very friendly. Right near downtown just off of the highway.
- 5/5
Not the regular Days Inn but more like a boutique hotel. happy yellow décor everywhere. Super nice staff
- 3/5
then we went to get coffee in the morning, and it also cost us $6. for two small cups of coffee. there was no microwave in the room either. not a happy camper.
- 5/5
Super cool place. Will be back.
- 5/5
Great location quick check in and out
- 5/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff and great location. Will stay at Hotel Bo again next time we are in Chattanooga.
- 5/5
Really love your staff the employees are always so eager to help. Love the ambiance my mother and I stay there at least twice a month on business everyone is always so professional and so accommodating love the retro feel of the place the RC and moon pie are such a cute little touch can't imagine not being able to stay at hotel bow it turns a business trip into a little mini vacation
- 5/5
Great hotel for the price, and friendly staff.
- 4/5
It was the perfect location. Room was very clean. Staff was excellent. My mold allergy was triggered and I got sick.
- 4/5
Bed was extremely comfortable
- 5/5
Very good location
- 5/5
Everyone is so super friendly I love the staff. The rooms are always clean and I love that retro feel
- 5/5
Hotel Bo is our choice whenever we go to Chattanooga to visit the grandkids. Hotel Bo is within walking distance of many Chattanooga attractions and restaurants. A bit disappointed that it is now charging extra ($10 per night) for parking. It's a motel! Of course people have to park there.
- 3/5
Mid.
- 5/5
Bendy cool retro hotel
- 4/5
convenience
- 5/5
Close to town and the parking was very easy to enter and exit. The bed was a little high, and difficult to get up and down, we were there 1night. The staff was so kind and helpful, so friendly, really made our stay.
- 5/5
the pool was very nice
- 5/5
The room was clean and everything worked as it should Customer service was amazing. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and kind.
- 5/5
Hotel Bo never disappoints, it’s close to all major attractions in the city , close to so many restaurants, the lady at the front desk was incredible and so nice , incredibly helpful and knowledgeable of the area ! The beds comfy and the room was clean !
- 2/5
This was a one night short stay and I did not feel safe. Was in a sketchy area and totally not worth the 160 I payed for the night. I didn’t leave my room. Has a weird smell that I can’t describe. Ordered in pizza from pizza bro’s which was the only nice thing about the stay.
- 5/5
Renovation
- 4/5
Plenty of parking for a motel downtown, but $10 additional for parking. Rooms were pleasantly accommodating, however double beds are only for very small adults. It was not a comfortable sleep. Adequate for a one night stay or if you love nostalgia.
- 5/5
Great location to utc
- 5/5
The whole staff was great. Dale was extra helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
I was there for an event at the convention center. It was only a 3 minute walk. Several restaurants within walking distance. Clean rooms.
- 2/5
It’s hard to imagine that a quarter of the 21st century has already passed, yet there are still hotels whose internet service doesn’t work.
- 5/5
I loved everything about this hotel! Walking distance to several restaurants, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It's a very cute, inviting place, and the service was very friendly. Whenever I'm back in Chattanooga I'll be staying here!
- 5/5
Cool vibes. Will visit again.
- 5/5
Great experience. Cool vibe, comfortable bed. Would definitely stay here again. Floor was laminate (not carpet) which I loved as a person with allergies.
- 5/5
Desk woman was super country and sweet. And helped recommended restaurants. Very helpful. Super quiet hotel. Very nice
- 5/5
Great location great property
- 5/5
The location is perfect right off the interstate. Our room was in the back corner closest to the interstate… It was unexpectedly quiet! Having a shuttle literally steps from our room that transported us to our destinations was fantastic! We will definitely be back!
- 5/5
Very cheerful, friendly and helpful!
- 5/5
This is a great location, many dining options within easy walking distance. As long as you are ok with room doors that lead directly outdoors, this is a great value. Beds adequate and rooms clean!
- 2/5
Staff was friendly and helpful and the location was convenient for tourism. But the hotel itself was rundown and outdated.
- 4/5
Unique stay at a retro-fashioned update of a classic 3 level motel. All downtown attractions are easily accessible by foot or free shuttle service. All features in the hotel are firmly "acceptable"; not great, but not bad. Updates to rooms and food service are mostly surface level; like a decent mattress atop an outdated frame, shower lining glue onto outdated tiling, etc. Better than plenty of options at this price point, but not as interesting as the advertising gimmicks want you to believe.
- 3/5
There was rarely a front desk person on duty. Once I waited to 5 or so minutes and called the hotel to get someone to come up front for service(A sign at the desk saying "I'll be right back" would be helpful). Elevator was broken, but there wasn't a sign on it. Myself & a couple just sat there waiting(And wasting out time.). Day 2 I came back from an early morning walk & my ac unit wasn't working and displayed "BR." Maintenance manager immediately came up and said it was a brown out(Maybe fuse related) and they might need to replace unit. I told him I would be leaving for most of the day, but when I retuned I would be showering, putting on a tux and going to an event across the street. I returned late afternoon and the unit was still not working and I had to change rooms. I would have liked a call or text letting me know I would need to change rooms so I would return a little earlier to accommodate this need. You could see light from outside around the bottom of the door(in both rooms) which can't be good for maintaining A/C and keeping bugs from entering. It has a cool looking facade, but felt like an old outdated Days Inn.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and helpful, the room and pool were clean, and the bar was nice with good drinks!!
- 2/5
The pool was very dirty and the stay was overpriced for what was offered.
- 5/5
We absolutely enjoyed this little gem! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was nice. It was a convenient location with the shuttle right outside the hotel. We highly recommend and will plan to stay again.
- 5/5
Very welcoming, easy, friendly check in and very clean and comfortable:-)
- 5/5
Great place !! Check in Lady very nice !!
- 5/5
Room was clean & staff was friendly.
- 4/5
Very easy to access and plenty of parking. Easy walk to the river area.
- 3/5
The staff was attentive and it was a very cute execution of an 1950s motorlodge. The room was clean but the parking lot and the stairs were lacking. The stairwell near my room was very sticky and there was food all around where I parked my car around 2:00pm, and it was still there the next morning. I also didn't sleep well due to the noise and a large gap around the door that let in a lot of light and I was worried about bugs crawling into the room. I would not stay here again.
- 4/5
-pool was warm and the area was clean. But, water was a little murky leaving us feeling a bit unsettled. I don’t have a pool. So, this may be normal for a heated pool. -We brought a LOUD fan due to some of the reviews…and I recommend. We were on the side of the facility with door opening to the Interstate. Road traffic was SOOOO loud all night long. Out of the hotel’s control, but it was annoying. -Reviews said they leave an RC cola and a Moon Pie in every room. We got our cola, but were missing our Moon Pie. Maybe housekeeping got hungry! ;) Overall, the place was comfortable. Water was hot, beds were comfy, aesthetic=pleasing. If you want all the creature comforts and high-end “stuff”, pay more and find a different place. If you want a comfy, clean place to shower and lay your head after an active, busy day, I def recommend!
- 5/5
rooms are super clean.
- 3/5
Beds small and hard
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay. It is in a good location, clean, and great staff. It is more your motel type with outside doors ect. They didn’t clean our room the first day but I told desk and they came right up. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
This was a great experience a throwback to the 50s and 60s definitely will stay again
- 4/5
Very clean
- 5/5
Nice staff, excellent location, easy to check in and check out.
- 5/5
xxxxxxx xxxxxxx xxxxxxx all very good... but I don't like you making me do a review . I am too rushed sometime, so, I end up not doing one, where if I could just rate the hotel without having to write anything, I would do it
- 3/5
The place had clearly been updated, which we appreciated. However, the bed squeaked really bad and the HVAC made a lot of noise. It is a much better price than most places in the area, so that was nice. I also found the staff to be warm and helpful.
- 2/5
A renovated “motor lodge” from the 50’s. Rooms clean and neat, but clearly a budget facility. It’s close to the conference center tho.
- 3/5
We have stayed several times at this property. During this visit, we were informed that parking wasn’t free anymore, the pool was closed and breakfast options reduced. Not a good option as it used to be.
- 5/5
Although the property is older and has been updated, the rooms were immaculate and well maintained. Front office staff Tiffany was welcoming and so pleasant to deal with. We will stay here again, much better than we were expecting.
- 5/5
Cleanliness and helpful service
- 3/5
Convenient location and friendly staff. Unfortunately the walls are paper thin and you hear people and cars late into the night.
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean My only complaints are paying for parking and you couldn't always find a spot near yoir room, the pool area felt like a sana cause there wasn't a way for wind to blow out there. The pool was nice.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
Hotel Bo is a great location to get to everything Chattanooga downtown has to offer. You can walk to most but there is also a free electric shuttle going by every 15 minutes so you don't have to deal with parking. I was staying for an event on the Riverfront and walked down both days.
- 4/5
IT WAS FINE FOR THE PURPOSE CLOSE TO CHILDRENS HOSPITAL
- 5/5
Quick and courteous chevk in.
- 5/5
Accommodations were clean, bed was comfy, team was friendly, location was convenient to convention center - will recommend this place and stay next time I'm in town!
- 3/5
Property was ok for a short two day stay. The only issue I had was the early morning noice from the housekeepers rolling cart passing the room each morning. Also since the hotel is located by the road you can hear the traffic which is very loud. Other then those things the hotel is ok for a short stay.
- 5/5
This is obviously an older, revamped building, but still in fairly good condition. The desk clerk, Tiffany, was friendly, quick and efficient.
- 3/5
The worst bed I ever tried to sleep in.
- 5/5
Hayden at front desk was such a help!
- 4/5
This is about the third or forth time I stayed at this particular hotel. It's not bad but could use some renovations. A fresh coat of paint and free parking for guest.
- 5/5
Great place to stay! Peaceful and safe. Very easy check in process. Bar and pool on site. We were able to walk most everywhere we wanted to go from here. Very cute decor and snack/drink items for purchase in lobby. Staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
Was a Coolbeans experience
- 4/5
Nice area and good staff and nice rooms.
- 5/5
I was pleasantly surprised with Hotel Bo! Love the retro vibe, but especially appreciated the the fact that it didn’t look old and run down at all! Two thumbs up!
- 3/5
Went there to use pool with 4 year old was closed the entire stay and muddy and closed
- 4/5
Overall it was a great experience, however there were a few items that needed attention. The toilet in our room didn't flush properly and there is pnly one very small elevator.
- 2/5
The hotel was very clean and the employees were some of the nicest I have ever dealt with but the owner was a dick. The first night I woke up to loud music. Since I didn’t check in until 1 am so I was trying to sleep. Then louder music started playing. I went to the front desk to address it. The owner came out so I told him about the music, the fact that the toilet is obnoxiously loud and that I could hear the couple in the room next to me having a conversation and that I could hear every word they said and that his housekeeping was hollering from one end to the other. He informed me that quiet hours were from 10pm-8am. He said I was welcome to go to another hotel if I wanted to but that he was willing to move me to a quieter room. I agreed to the new room. I was out for awhile so didn’t get back until late that day so that night I used the bathroom and the toilet didn’t flush. So they next morning I went back to the front desk and the employee told me they would send maintenance up. I then seen the owner in the parking lot and told him about the toilet. He said well at least you don’t have to hear the toilet. That was tacky especially being the owner. He never apologized or tried to make it right. I felt very unappreciated the music that was playing is played all day. Who wants to hear that while trying to relax? The other music was someone with a big speaker at the pool. Even though the hotel was clean the attitude of the owner would make me never stay there again
- 4/5
We weekend we stayed here, a few different events were going on and they ran out of parking spots. The room was nice but the walls aren’t too thick as we were woken up very early to our neighbors who were going on a bicycle race. We missed not having a microwave in the room, but there is one in the lobby. We didn’t get to check out the pool, but it was clean and pretty.
- 5/5
Definitely added to the overall joy of our vacation. Atmosphere was cool and laid back. Only negative is I don't understand why you charge guest a daily fee for parking when you have a large parking lot that would accommodate a full house.
- 5/5
great location in the city with a great price. Love all of the updates: looks great! Nice staff!
- 4/5
The outdoor pool was clean, nice size and heated . I just wish they didn’t do the swimming pool maintenance between 9 to 11 am on a Wednesday . Couldn’t use the pool then . Staff were friendly and helpful .
- 4/5
My one qualm is paying to stay in a hotel room. And then arriving and being told that I'm to pay another $10 to park my car in one of their parking spaces. I've had that happen at one other hotel recently. It's absolute bs to do that to your customers. Just include it in the cost. That's misleading and makes people angry. I passed up parking much closer to the venue, thinking I'd check into my room and walk to the show.
- 5/5
The staff were super friendly and helpful from Erica at check-in to Jody at the Downtowner, and the cleaning staff (sorry I don't have any specific names to shout out!). I loved how close everything was, pretty much all of downtown was within walking distance. We did drive down to the river front but it only took us about 5 minutes to get there. The pool was clean and heated which was perfect for our stay. It was a great experience!
- 5/5
Great Location and clean and affordable . Great friendly stall & service
- 4/5
Small equipment issue with door, but staff was able to help.
