Reviews
The hotel is highly praised for its spacious, apartment-style rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. Guests appreciate the central location and proximity to downtown attractions. However, some reviews mention issues with parking, thin walls, and lack of on-site food options.
- Spacious, apartment-style rooms with comfortable beds
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Parking can be an issue, with some guests having to use off-site parking
- Thin walls may result in noise disturbances from neighboring rooms
- 5/5
We loved everything about this hotel. From the spacious rooms, great location, fun lobby games to friendly front desk staff. We would definitely return when staying in Chattanooga again!
- 5/5
Love this place
- 5/5
Clean room and very attentive staff
- 4/5
Overall, good experience will revisit and book the property in the future. Especially good for families or if you were doing a big group event gaming lobby was a plus for me and my teen daughter.
- 4/5
Water pressure in both showers was really low. Ice in freezer drops and freezes to make a big clump. The ice maker made a loud knocking sound several times. We had to unplug fridge several times. Convenient parking! Nice room.
- 5/5
Our family loved this hotel! Great location, clean, and loved the cafe and games downstairs! Will definitely plan to stay here again. Staff was also friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
This is a great place for a large family. We spread out a three bedroom, had great beds, and we were able to play cards at the kitchen table. It was also an easy walk to the city diner, which we also highly recommend
- 5/5
Hotel Clemons, in the heart of downtown Chattanooga, was perfect in every way! Spacious, fully appointed apartments, with plenty of room to spread out or enjoy time together in the common spaces. Fully furnished kitchen and small appliances were great for coffee in the morning or a quick snack. The on-site restaurant/brewery has a small menu, but enough options to satisfy most. Also, the on-site coffee shop has a wonderful variety of coffees and teas, as well as an amazing assortment of pastry treats! Great value for the money and nearby parking in the city garage, including in/out privileges.
- 5/5
But after our first night everything was great! Spacious rooms, stocked kitchen. Definitely recommend and hope to come back again
- 5/5
Everything was exceptional! The only thing I would like to say is that in order to watch your streaming services on the 1 and only TV in the room is that you have to cast it to the TV. And I couldn't get that to cast. I've tried everything as far as restarting my phone, and tv but still didnt work. Granted you can still watch regular tv but just couldn't use the cast feature to watch your streaming services. I would still book here in the future, maybe it was just the tv in my room that didnt work the cast feature. Other than that, the room had all the essential needed to get you settled in! The hotel is also in a great location within walking distance to everything downtown!
- 5/5
Every thing about this place was wonderful!
- 5/5
This Hotel is Apartment style which makes it excellent for families or guests who require a larger space. Great location.
- 5/5
This was a great spot for our family of 6. Spacious rooms. The ping pong table and other table games were a hit. Brewery and coffee shop downstairs was definitely a plus. Walking distance to all the activities downtown. We will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The guest rooms were uniquely and nicely decorated. Parking was is a negative as it is available in a garage that requires a QR code for access and costs $20 a day.
- 5/5
Super cute and great location!
- 3/5
When booking on Expedia, it said there was parking and a washer and dryer included. There was no on site parking and no washer and dryer included.
- 5/5
We’ve stayed at this hotel several times and always get a good nights sleep. The only drawback is that we have to park across the street in a parking garage. Otherwise it’s comfy and cozy. The bedding is wonderful
- 5/5
Great stay. Thank you
- 5/5
Perfect place to stay!!!!!
- 5/5
Large, furnished rooms. Very clean and comfortable. Games in the lobby.
- 2/5
Staff were friendly and apartments are spacious. However, if you end up by the elevator you will literally hear the elevator through the walls. Also prepare to get no sleep because of the consistent traffic. The couch was peeling and leaving specks of it all over our clothes so we had to cover it with a sheet. The throw pillows and blankets were so dirty and had an odor. Outside of those things it is a nice place to stay if you are not looking for amenities, windows or tvs in the bedrooms.
- 3/5
The showers had very low water pressure. The TV didn't work and when we notified the desk, instead of sending someone to help, they suggested we unplug and reset the TV. It didn't work. The ice maker was poor and very loud. The parking was off site of the hotel.
- 4/5
Staff and location. Rooms are unique and comfortable. The first stay the hot water was limited. The air conditioning system was very loud when it was on.
- 5/5
Such a great time and hotel. Will stay here every time I come to chatt!
- 5/5
We always stay here when in Chattanooga. It is roomy, pleasant, and always clean.
- 5/5
Rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. Beds are so comfortable that you don't want to get up in the morning. There's the Chattanooga Brewery on-site for food, beverage and chill time. Parking in across the street in the parking garage for $25 per day...it's a deal. Great staff throughout the whole building. We'll definitely come back for a longer stay.

Location N/A
- 5/5
Love the location, the apartment style rooms and the size of the rooms. Every staff person we encountered was nice. We could easily walk to the river for the Ironman activities. Not a thing.
- 5/5
Ok
- 5/5
Awesome room with all amenities you could imagine and huge! Seriously comfy bed and extremely quiet surroundings. Not a better value with a boutique hotel in Chattanooga! 100%
- 4.5/5
Spacious! Excellent value and location.
- 5/5
We only grabbed drinks. The bartender was charming.
- 5/5
Nice & large space; good local brew pub at location
- 5/5
Very spacious and clean rooms; great location with many restaurants in walking distance; staff was amazing and helpful with local recommendations
- 5/5
Great place!
- 5/5
Clean and unique. Very Chattanooga.
- 5/5
Great room, clean and fun things to do
- 5/5
Loved how quiet it was and clean
- 5/5
Ok
- 5/5
Location was great, right in the centre of Chattanooga. Plenty of restaurants around, and a walk to the wonderful Aquarium and river. Staff were helpful. The full kitchen was useful to have and the room was very spacious and well equipped. Parking was over the road in a public block but was quite big and close to the hotel. $25 a night.
- 4.5/5
I had a wonderfull stay
- 5/5
Very clean and lots of room for the whole family. The location is perfect for exploring the city. We were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to visit. The main lobby closes around 11:00 pm.
- 3.5/5
It's more of a loft than a hotel. Concrete floors.
- 5/5
The room and staff were amazing. Only complaints are lack of storage, no pan for cooking in the kitchen, and the water ran cold rather quickly. Other than those few minor inconveniences, our stay was perfect!
- 5/5
Great stay at Clemons - great location for restaurants and river - love the apartment-like room
- 5/5
This hotel was so much more than we expected! Great location and easy street parking. The hotel has such a fun vibe and the cafe downstairs was an unexpected bonus. Our room was awesome - complete kitchen set up and a ping pong table. It was decorated very cute and felt more like our own apartment than a hotel. And the keyless entry was a bonus. Very clean too. We will definitely be back!
- 4.5/5
A (sharp cornered) portable raised wardrobe was situated so it stuck out in one bedroom. Ouch
- 4.5/5
The rooms are so spacious, and I love the vintage vibe. It’s far more like loft apartment than a hotel room. The front desk closes at 11 PM, so there is a side access door for guests after that. We did not need to use it, but my husband said when he tried to access it during the day it wasn’t working for
- 5/5
We absolutely loved staying here what a unique place great activities like pool table and shuffleboard and ping-pong in the entrance. Lively brewery and cute little coffee shop in the lobby as well. Each apartment is nicely appointed with all the amenities needed for a short or long-term stay
- 5/5
The hotel was in a great location, which was convenient to walk to both food and entertainment. The room exceeded our expectations as it was larger than expected and the rooms were also great. And the convenience of Chattanooga Brewery. and Peet's Coffee downstairs?? I'm already planning another trip back just to stay at Hotel Clemons.
- 5/5
We love staying here for our family of four. The kids have their own bunk bed, cool night lights, and drumroll their own bathroom! We love the living room furniture and high ceilings. Most of all the kitchen we were can make steak and lobster and port. We dance in the kitchen and play games. Always a memory maker when we come here! Can’t wait to come back!
- 3/5
Cleanliness left something to be desired. Seems easy enough to wipe down all surfaces in a room before arrival. Bed very clean, everything not clean.
- 5/5
Definitely not your typical hotel - felt like an upscale loft! Awesome!
- 5/5
Wonderful, modern space with tons of room for the kids to roam around. We loved everything about the space and kids room complete with a projector to shine stars and space up on the ceiling. We loved that our rooms had no windows so our kids slept so well. Lobby is great, complete with a pool table, foosball, coffee shop, and connected to a brewery. We would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Great place!
- 5/5
Best spot to stay in Chatt. Safe, family friendly, spacious, and a stone’s throw away from the best restaurants in the city!
- 5/5
We had to leave early due to an emergency but the room was very nice and clean and staff was great
- 3.5/5
Loved the location, downstairs area and the restaurant/bar. Room was large. No tv in the bedroom. Had to request a day in advance for someone to clean your room. Had to ask for new towels and wash cloths. Then had to wait 30+ min for them to be given to you only after you ask again.
- 4.5/5
Stylish hotel (artwork, furniture, rooms) Good facilities (pool table, table tennis, fussball), good bar attached, Good location (walkable to the river and shopping districts)
- 5/5
Large comfortable spaces
- 4/5
Check in was easy and the staff was very friendly. The room was so spacious and thoughtfully stocked. we loved the kitchen and the view of the city/courtyard from our room. The gameroom was the top attraction for the kids. Just a few notes on what would have made it better and heads up to those with younger kids- the floors are solid concrete and can be slick- the living room rug definitely needs rubber grips— two of our kids slipped on the rug and fell when walking through the living room because it ruffled up. Some of the dishes still had caked food on them from prior guests and some of the in room games were missing several key pieces that didn’t allow the kids to play. Not really anything you can do about this one but the walls are a little thin and you can hear all the delivery trucks in the area in the middle of the night and early morning. We also heard the music of the room next door which wasn’t a problem but there is such an echo it just sounded like it was in our room. Location was central to shopping, several restaurants and the local bus which is free and goes to some of the main tourist attractions (aquarium, Chattanooga choo choo, etc)
- 4.5/5
The rooms were spacious with a full kitchen which worked out well for us. The property location is very convenient with lots of restaurants and bars close by.
- 5/5
This was our first trip to Chattanooga and the location was perfect, especially if you like to walk. While there were plenty of stops for the free electric shuttle to take you around town, we really enjoyed walking to the majority of the entertainment and dining options the area had to offer. We will absolutely be back on our next visit to Chattanooga and would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Clemons to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay. It truly set the tone for an incredible trip!
- 4/5
Parking is not at the property so we had to uber from a garage with our luggage and back… and no TVs in bedrooms… both are odd issues to encounter but otherwise, if there were TVs and valet, it’d be a 10
- 5/5
The front desk staff was very welcoming and extremely nice. Room was HUGE and beautifully decorated.
- 5/5
The hotel apartment was large, with any amenity available, from a full kitchen with 14 cup coffee maker and great tasting coffee, to high end linens and towels. Very well priced, too.
- 5/5
We loved it here and will be back! Restaurant has delicious food, the coffee shop has great coffee and my son loved the games in lobby! Very clean apt and comfy! You wont be disappointed <3
- 5/5
The room was spotless and well stocked with everything you'd need for a longer stay with kids. Loved the ping pong table in our room.
- 5/5
Cool place to stay with a family. Apartment style for the win!
- 5/5
Spacious, clean, amenities, location Parking
- 5/5
Location. Pool Table. Ping Pong Table. Peet’s Coffee. Looking out the window while sitting in very comfortable chairs. The room was like a mini apartment. Nothing
- 5/5
Great room. Pool and ping pong in the lobby.
- 4/5
The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. In that we had children with us, parking across the street, and being charged for it, and having to walk or drive for breakfast was an inconvenience and disappointing.
- 5/5
Huge accommodations and super fun lobby area. Perfect to stretch out
- 5/5
Our family of five had a great stay at Hotel Clemons. The room we stayed at was very spacious and clean. All the amenities in the room and all the things to do around the hotel were well worth the price we paid. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Love the property it was in a great location
- 5/5
One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed.
- 5/5
Yes, everything was perfect. The kids were entertained. We were nicely located close to events and the staff was on point for the entire stay.
- 5/5
A real gem in Chattanooga. Will definitely stay again
- 5/5
Very cool loft style design, great location and clean comfy rooms.
- 5/5
We loved our stay at Hotel Clemons and will definitely be returning! Thank you!
- 5/5
We loved staying at Hotel Clemons. Each of my kids get their own space and the common area was great for us to be together. The kitchen allowed us to still eat together and have the comforts of home. Having 2 bathrooms was amazing! The price was fantastic for the space we got. The parking garage arrangements made with the public parking across the street was perfect and affordable. The location of the hotel was perfect for walking around downtown to the Tennessee Aquarium and surrounding restaurants. We would definitely recommend and stay again.
- 5/5
Great space for a family to stay.
- 5/5
We fell in love with this place. We will be back.
- 5/5
We absolutely love staying here!
- 5/5
This is my go to place in Chattanooga. Love it here.
- 5/5
Games, coffee shop, and restaurant in hotel lobby. Great place for family to stay.
- 5/5
We had an overnight stay here due to visiting UT-Chattanooga and attending a basketball game at the school. We checked into the hotel late, but didn’t fully realize what kind of room we had as this was our first stay at this hotel. We were blown away by the amount of space we had, the cleanliness, the kitchen, etc. Not only was our room top tier, the hotel attendants were great! Checking in and checking out was a smooth process. We are already planning our next visit and will plan to stay longer. The only con I had about the stay was the hot water. We all took showers the next morning and we didn’t have enough hot water.
- 5/5
The room and the staff were great. The brewery on the first floor was a big plus.
- 5/5
Really enjoyed the full kitchen. I work nights and had a really erratic sleep schedule before arriving…my room had zero windows and I slept for 12 hrs the first night. Staff was friendly, parking abundant. Loved the little bar off the lobby and the restaurant across the street had an oyster happy hour. Great experience overall
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 5/5
love these apartments turned into a cool hotel
- 5/5
Cute eclectic hotel with lots of amenities and close to things in the heart of Chattanooga. We loved our stay.
- 5/5
This is our favorite place to stay in Chattanooga!
- 5/5
Simply incredible. Staff was great. Late checking was seamless. Room was PERFECT!
- 5/5
Incredible! Hotel Clemons is top notch for the massive size of the rooms, on site brewery and restaurant and the downtown location. Will stay here again and again when travels bring my family back through.
- 4/5
The staff is super responsive and helpful. The amenities and space in the room are more than you would expect at this price. We enjoy taking our family and friends to stay here. Feels like a second home.
- 4/5
The room that we were initially assigned was nice and clean but I did find bed bug eggs attached to the bedframe, near the head of the bed. I am a Certified Operator and I know how to perform a proper inspection. After I took the photos downstairs, the staff member was able to assign a different room for us. The hotel is very nice and is close to everything downtown. Thank you!
- 5/5
Fantastic room and great place overall!
- 5/5
Clean Room , Great Staff - Very Helpful -Room was Great - Right in the Perfect Place for Our Experience
- 5/5
We always love staying at the Clemons when we visit our daughter at UTC!
- 5/5
Best place we stayed on our trip. Would love to explore more. Helpful staff, great situation & area so clean
- 5/5
The hotel and staff were amazing!!! My family and I will definitely be coming back soon! Thank you all for making my birthday special.
- 5/5
I had a great stay at Hotel Clemons in Chattanooga. The customer service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The apartment style room was neat, clean, and very comfortable, making it feel more like a home than a typical hotel. I also loved the brewery located right on site. Such a fun and convenient bonus after a long day. Overall, a fantastic stay and I would definitely recommend Hotel Clemons to anyone visiting the area.
- 5/5
Hotel was very clean inviting and the rooms were spacious and well decorated. The amenities in the lobby really added to the experience. The hotel is in perfect walking distance of restaurants, the aquarium and the discovery museum. It is local to most attractions and dining but without the noise. It's very quiet even on the weekends.
- 5/5
staff was very nice
- 5/5
Room was perfectly functional, well appointed and the amenities at the hotel were top-notch.
- 4/5
Perfect in every way, but parking. Also, no vending machines or snacks accessible on the property outside of Peet's and the Chattanooga Brewery. Weird to have a hotel with no access to quick access items when arrival times vary.
- 5/5
Restaurant on site has affordable food & drink options, including the cafe. Only downside was the metal framed bunkbed. It moves & squeaks at the slightest movement. We opted for the large bean bag & couch as better options after the 1st night so if I stay here again I would choose regular beds and share them over the bunkbed option. It's suitable for very small children at best. Note that parking is pay only, but if you go through the hotel & use the Citipark deck you can get a QR Code pass to exit & reenter to reduce overall parking costs.
- 5/5
Room was great. Clean and comfy. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Eclectic decor, tall ceilings, stocked kitchen, clean rooms and bathrooms, comfy beds, friendly staff, and lobby amenities (ping pong, pool table, table shuffle board) made for a comfortable and welcoming stay!!! We loved that Peet's Coffee moved into their lobby. Another great "perk." Parking can make the stay a little more expensive - $25 per night in a garage down the street or metered street parking (free from 6 pm - 8 am). But this is the case with most city hotels.
- 4/5
Only a few Downsides... the shower pressure in the main bathroom was way too weak for my liking. Im not sure about the 2nd bathroom as i didn't use it. Other downside was the noise level on Sunday am this time. I was on the 5th floor and I was able to hear everything going on. I'm not sure if it was coming from a neighbor room or the lobby. Also coffee shop may need a little extra order as far as food for Sundays as they ran out of alot. Parking can be a challenge as they don't have their own lot but there is a city garage across the street. Just prepare for $20 per day. Other than that i would stay again.
- 5/5
This property was absolutely stunning. Basically it was an old warehouse and they turned it down to a hotel. Very nice highly recommend it was a two bedroom two bath studio feel highly recommend.
- 5/5
Awesome stay. Very clean and quiet. Close walking distance to plenty of restaurants and activities
- 5/5
Staff was outstanding, very helpful with our stay.
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly service. Loved the look and feel of the hotel. Great stay!
- 5/5
Everything was perfect!
- 5/5
Very spacious, and inviting. Kids had a ball. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Very nice location, great vibe! Any time I’m in Chattanooga, this will be my first choice.
- 3/5
BUT our room was not the cleanest. There was dirt in the corners of the floors especially in the bathrooms AND there was blood smeared on the bathroom wall. We told the girl at the front desk as she just said well we can get someone to come clean it?!?! That should have already been done. We have 2 small children and that was VERY unsanitary. We will be back to the area but maybe not this hotel because that reason.
- 5/5
This hotel was such a pleasant surprise! I decided to try something different from the typical chain hotel and it was the best decision! It has such a cool vibe... an open area with lots of games, books and a great cafe! The rooms are more like apartments. Two separate bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, eating area and living area. No complaints!!
- 5/5
They allowed us to check in early
- 5/5
Only issue is that parking, and paying for parking.
- 5/5
Loved having the kitchen & living area. Fun walking around downtown. Safe, modern, private. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
This place is top notch. We stay here when the High School state championships are in town . We love this place and will continue to stay here!!
- 5/5
Yes place was amazing so clean so nice everyone very friendly
- 5/5
Perfect spot.
- 5/5
Quaint, spacious, comfortable!! Great location and cool vibe. We loved it!
- 5/5
We love everything about Hotel Clemons! It is convenient, clean and trendy.
- 5/5
Didn’t use much but they had all the things you would need.
- 5/5
Great hotel for a long weekend. Large living room and full kitchen, refrigerator, stove and dishwasher. Lobby area is cool with games like ping pong and foosball. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants.
- 5/5
👍
- 5/5
Wonderful property. Full kitchen. They had items that we needed stocked like a large glass bowl and cutting boards. We brought lasagna for a dinner and had room to store it in the fridge and a nice oven to cook it in. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.
- 5/5
Great location, large comfortable rooms and baths, very nice beds and pillows and convenient parking which I could buy while checking in. We will definitely be back!
- 4/5
The only drawback is the parking… Cost $20 and you have to walk to a parking garage but you can unload in front of the hotel . Highly recommend. We enjoy going every year for a Friends Christmas Celebration!
- 5/5
Helpful staff, very nice rooms. More like an apartment. Extremely clean. So satisfied with my visit that any time I'm needing a hotel in Chattanooga, I'm definetly coming back here.
- 5/5
It was very cool decor & the room was like a full apartment with a full kitchen. I loved it & will return.
- 5/5
Amazing rooms, service and location!
- 5/5
Super cool hotel, loved that we could get a 2 bedroom, beds were comfortable, bedrooms didn’t have windows which we loved because it was dark. Kitchen was well stocked, would stay here again
- 5/5
We loved this hotel—its great location offers plenty of options for enjoying food and drink. I'm sure there's more, but we only stayed for a night. The two-bedroom / two-bath was well laid out. Plenty of room to relax. Loved the decor. Small things like a couple of bottles of water and the ice maker full were icing on the cake. Will definitely stay again for a longer visit. Front desk folks were helpful and friendly. Worth the stay.
- 5/5
Clean room, very
- 5/5
We love this place. I come once or twice a year with my two kids for long weekends. Everyone enjoys their space the game tables on the 1st floor are great
- 5/5
Clean room, great lobby staff. Cool brewery and coffee shop in hotel lobby! Definitely coming back.
- 5/5
What a great experience!
- 5/5
We loved everything about this property! Great location and super comfy for our family.
- 5/5
the room was perfect
- 5/5
Very clean and great location. Walked to restaurants and the aquarium.
- 5/5
Me and my family really enjoyed ourselves we will be returning again we extended stay as well
- 2/5
Room wasn’t ready till 5
- 5/5
This is our second time staying here, and it was great as usual. The staff was friendly, the location is safe and convenient, and the hotel is a gem. I considered trying another location, but you get more bang for your buck here. Comparably priced hotels leave you with a cramped, dated room, but Hotel Clemons gave me a two-bedroom apartment for the same price. This will be our go-to location when staying in Chattanooga in the future.
- 5/5
Favorite place to stay in Chattanooga. Always perfect!
- 5/5
This hotel was awesome! It really felt more like an apartment. My husband and I stayed with our kids, and they thought it was the coolest place ever. They had their own rooms and plenty of space to hang out in the living area. And we all enjoyed the coffee bar downstairs as well as the foosball table. The staff were very kind and accommodating and the beds were the most comfortable I’ve stayed in! Definitely worth the money for the experience. 10/10!
- 5/5
Always nice
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel in convenient area.
- 4/5
The hotel is great. It’s the parking that is awful. They do not offer parking for guests. To have to pay for a room but then pay to park over night as well?! Why don’t they offer to validate or vallet? We are from out of town, we had no idea where to park. We pulled into a lot across the street…the only option was “more than 3 hours” for $13. We paid, got our receipt, and it said expires at 3:58am! What?! Once we got inside, the guy told us to park in the garage across the street for $20. This is enough to not stay at Hotel Clemons again. The hotel is great as long as you do not have a car.
- 5/5
The bed was actually soooo comfortable
- 5/5
Great stay! Comfortable beds, great location, fun vibe! Thoroughly enjoyed staying at Hotel Clemons!
- 5/5
It was good
- 5/5
I really liked the vibe of the hotel. The room was nice and large (2 bedroom/2bathroom). Great space, cute kitchen with everything you need. And the staff was fun.
- 5/5
Clean, Spacious and very convenient
- 5/5
Excellent location. Clean, and convenient and a great vibe and amenities. Coffee shop and bar downstairs..
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly, helpful, and amazing. Though you pay for parking it was just across the street and super accessible. There are dining options within the hotel and surrounding it. This location is perfect access to other areas of the city, and we couldn't have asked for a better stay.
- 5/5
Loved our room and the whole hotel. Our visit was short and I wish it was longer, I could have stayed in the room for weeks. Fully equipped and super spacious. Staff at the bar on the main floor was so friendly too.
- 5/5
A really great boutique hotel located in a wonderful area with parking, restaurants, shops all within walking distance. The rooms are unique and the staff is very attentive. A special shout out to Gary, Chloe, and Daniel for great service
- 4/5
Such a fun decor and vibe. Super clean and spacious
- 5/5
Fun and well run operation, loved it!
- 5/5
Best hotel stay I had in over 20 yrs. The only issue was that you have to pay to park and it is off premises. The property was easy to find, convenient to Downtown and all the fun. The room was better than expected. Had a full kitchen, living room, closet! Its basically a 1 bedroom apartment. Super quiet. I didn"t hear cleaning carts, people's door slamming, or voices. I heard some dog bark for a few minutes but it was manageable. Gorgeously decorated
- 5/5
Loved the three bedroom apartment we had and the downtown location was perfect for getting around easy
- 5/5
Friendly staff, nice room—more like an apartment.
- 5/5
Perfect little place to stay, wish we were here more than just one night.
- 5/5
It was a nice setup, large living area.
- 5/5
The hotel is in a converted concrete building, which gives it a cool industrial vibe with high ceilings and exposed pipes. However, the insulation isn’t the best, so if you’re sensitive to noise or temperature changes, keep that in mind. There’s no dedicated parking lot, but the hotel partners with a parking garage right across the street that charges $20 per night. You’ll get a QR code from the front desk for unlimited in-and-out access during your stay. Just note that the garage has a low ceiling—larger vehicles or those with roof racks may not fit. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely come back again!

Beautiful property. Will definitely stay here again.

I was kidnapped, beaten, and raped inside my hotel room. No one there to call for help. Then a week later a police report was filed by some staff member I've never met against me. This place is incredibly unsafe and has despicable staff. I will likely be taking legal action against them for the severe damages and trauma I've suffered. Rape, beaten, and held against my will for 12 hours.
- 5/5
We had a great stay! The accommodations were perfect and the location could not be best. We enjoyed the games in the lobby and overall highly recommend. We will be back for sure.
- 5/5
Amazing 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit. I could easily live there permanently. Full kitchen. No free parking however. No breakfast. But great value for the price.
- 5/5
This place was amazing. The food, the activities, the art, the rooms… just everything. Pool table, ping pong, foosball, shuffle board in the lobby. I stg if you get the chance, stay here.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and perfect accommodations for family travel. Keep us coming back :)

You can’t the location of Hotel Clemons—it’s right in the heart of the downtown. We walked everywhere to the river, to Southside, the museums and the farmer’s market. The building was once a residence condos in an old, well preserved building. We stayed a week. The apartments are spacious with a loft-like vibe. We stayed in the two bedroom with a king and queen beds and two baths. The open space, airy and bright, included a living room, spacious kitchen with a table that sits 6 and a beautiful wood ping pong table and yes, we played everyday. The kitchen was sparsely equipped. For example, there was 4 plates, 4 glasses and so on. I wished they would add more utensils, dishes, glassware, kitchen towels, pots, pans etc. There is a lot of cabinet space with little in them. The bathroom was probably my biggest gripe—very basic and plain Jane, not luxe at all. They did have body wash, shampoo and conditioner (great smell). The bedrooms were a little dark but the mattress was comfortable and the linens were clean and soft. There’s plenty of storage space for clothes, though no drawers. I liked coming back at the end of day to “my apartment in Chattanooga.” The lobby is spacious and includes a coffee shop with tables, chairs and sofas. I found the desk staff super helpful and courteous. While there are other options nearby, I would stay at Hotel Clemons again.

Large Comfortable Rooms
- 5/5
Awesome place!! Will be back
- 5/5
We stayed here for 3 nights in a 2-bedroom suite with our young kids and it was great. The suite is really a 2 BR 2 full bathroom apartment and it had everything we needed. The hotel is also conveniently walkable to everything you’d want to do in downtown Chattanooga. We will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Loved it all
- 4/5
rooms are very spacious. perfect if you're traveling with a group. lobby has free games such as table tennis and billiards. very convenient to shopping and dining
- 5/5
Amazing place to stay ! Loved the games in the lobby and the kitchens in the rooms.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay. The kids liked their own rooms and ping pong table and games. Easily walkable to many downtown areas. Clean facility and food options on site. Helpful staff.
- 5/5
We loved the spaciousness, atmosphere and ambience of the rooms and the property. The hotel is in a great neighborhood with a variety of restaurants and shops. It’s also easy walking distance to the riverfront activities. Would DEFINITELY stay here again. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
We love staying at Hotel Clemons when we see our son at UTC. Great location and always so lovely!
- 5/5
Ideal spot within walking distance of many things. Huge, well-furnished and clean room. Activities in the lobby for when you have a little downtime. We really enjoyed our stay!
- 5/5
Convenient location, room nice and clean. Easy check in. Would definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
Floor was wet when we got to room. Had to kill a roach right off the bat. Walls seem thick but you can hear everything people say in the next room. If your dog makes noise, you are subject to an extra charge.
- 4/5
It was spacious but a little run down. It showed its age. The bathrooms were clean. Overall we liked it and would stay there again.
- 5/5
Enjoyed the large room and games in the lobby!
- 5/5
We stayed in a three bedroom apartment for 3 nights. Conveniently located near the 3 Sisters Festival. Pricing was very good for the location and space offered. Plus dogs are ok! Thank you.
- 5/5
I was in town with my parents to run the Ironman, this location was perfect. I picked it because it has separate bedrooms. The rooms were very big with a kitchen and separate bathrooms. I would highly recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Keep the current soaps and lotions, they smell heavenly!
- 5/5
The staff were very kind and accommodating. Our room was very clean and the beds were so comfortable!
- 4/5
Unique urban/industrial boutique hotel. We enjoyed our stay here very much. Clean and well equipped with a full kitchen.
- 5/5
Beautiful establishment. Friendly staff. Amazing, well designed, comfortable apartment. It was pretty perfect. Only thing was the bunk bed squeaked and should probably just be for kiddo's 😀 overall great experience
- 5/5
Everything was amazing! The hotel was top notch as far as amenties, cleanliness, convenience, extras, updated everything, and comfort. Literally the only thing I would change is the water pressure in the bathrooms was lacking and the shower heads put out minimal water. But they still got the job done. We WILL be back soon!
- 5/5
The rooms inside are big & feel like an apartment. Very spacious with full kitchen & living room.
- 4/5
Overall the place was great. The only few things that bothered me were 1) the water pressure. In both bathrooms the shower water pressure was terrible that every shower was double the time I normally would take. As a woman, washing out long hair, that was a nightmare. 2) noise, the space is very open with hard flooring and walls. Every door you open, flush a toilet, etc was like a train passing by. We had to be extra cautious at night as to not wake my daughter.
- 5/5
So original and interesting… and spotless and convenient too. We needed a place to get away and do some creative work, and wanted to be walkable to restaurants and attractions. Hotel Clemons provided all that and more. The location is ideal and we could get anywhere we needed by foot. The decor and amenities are refreshing. We took advantage of all the games and pool table in the lobby. The ‘rooms’ are more like apartments and having the living room and dining area gave us lots of room to spread out. A very fun and pleasant stay. Would recommend!
- 5/5
Great location and we enjoyed our stay in Chattanooga!
- 5/5
Great for a family trip, lots of space, kind of a bohemian feel. Our son loved the game tables in the lobby. Everything was comfortable and well maintained. The mattresses were on the soft side but were comfortable for our side sleeping family. There was occasional noise from the hallway but it was minimal.
- 5/5
I love this hotel. Spacious and so comfortable with all the amenities. Lots of things to do and eat nearby.
- 5/5
It's a very nice hotel.
- 5/5
Check in was quick and smooth. Door code instead of keeping up with a key. Books and board game in room. Pool table and table tennis in lobby
- 5/5
10/10
- 5/5
This was a unique hotel to stay in. It was like having a little apartment. It included the basic kitchen items we needed. Everything was very clean. The older gentleman at the front desk was very helpful when we checked in. The hotel was situated in a nice location. We would stay again.
- 5/5
Great place for a weekend away with the kiddos.
- 5/5
Exceptional location and spacious accommodation. The only problem is the metal bed frames have sharp corners that are treacherous. We both scraped our shins repeatedly.
- 5/5
I just loved everything about this place, planning my next trip to stay here. It’s an absolute vibe and very clean. Great find and great locations
- 5/5
Great location, plenty of room and great service.

Great coffee served downstairs!!! Love this place definitely returning in the future.

- 5/5
Great for families!
- 5/5
Amazing hotel great location
- 5/5
Very accommodating staff.
- 5/5
Gives the feel of having your own condo/apartment. Stayed here w 2 kids while dropping the third off at college. Very comfortable and with the full kitchen you can get groceries and make your own dinners. Definitely will stay here every time we visit Chattanooga and night recommend it.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Accommodations were fantastic and the people were great. Location is very convenient.
- 5/5
All around a great place to stay in Chatt!!
- 5/5
I am reluctant to review simply because it’s my favorite place to stay and i don’t want the world to know about this gem! But it’s perfect. For the same price as a dumpy chain hotel you get a well-located, super cute loft apartment. They added a Peet’s Coffee in the lobby which makes it 10/10.
- 5/5
We loved this place! The only downside is parking, but we dealt with it. The beds were so comfortable! The staff was super nice. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed. Will definitely go back!
- 5/5
This was our 2nd time to stay here. It’s very comfortable and roomy.
- 5/5
The beds were very comfortable. The suite was very asthetic and spacious. We had 6 people in an 3 bedroom suite, and everyone was very happy with this place. Would stay again!
- 5/5
Excellent location! Clean, spacious units. Very nice amenities. Several great restaurants within walking distance. We will stay again for sure!

The Hotel Clemons is such a fantastic place for a getaway! Unique and charming. I definitely recommend staying there!
- 5/5
Absolutely a dream weekend! Celebrated our 30th birthday this year and had the best time. Loved our space and the staff was awesome. The pet fee was reasonable and I’m happy our senior Frenchie could join!

Absolutely amazing, will visit again!!
- 5/5
Overall nice hotel. No complaints
- 5/5
The bed mattresses were too soft.
- 5/5
We've stayed here 3 times now and the property is unique from other "box" hotels. Its always clean and we love the space that the rooms provide. The downstairs brewery is delicious and is a great option if you don't want to get out, or if you're tired and just want to pick up and go back to your room.
- 5/5
Great Apartment Room style hotel with a funky vibe. Coffee shop in lobby is grest and food from Kitchen was tasty and reasonably priced. There is craft beer and cocktails bar attacued to lobby, and multiple games in lobby too. Grest for families with teenage kids.Good location,no parking at hotel but couple of great options really really close. Will be back next time I am in Chattanooga.
- 4/5
We really enjoyed our stay. Would stay again. The bed was so comfortable.
- 5/5
Was very different from the hotel norm. I loved at layout and atmosphere of Hotel Clemons. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Everything was exceptional, from check in to check out my family and I had amazing time short lived due to only three day vacation but i' one of the best. Many vacations i've ever had, if not the number one!!!
- 5/5
Incredible room that’s larger that our first apartment! Beautiful, simple, and modern elegance come to mind upon walking into the Two bedroom premium suite. I highly recommend this hotel for a family. The brewery on the main level is great for both drinks and delicious food. I was pleasantly surprised by the prices being so reasonable. Book this hotel and you’ll probably never stay anywhere else while in Chattanooga again.
- 5/5
Great place to stay with a family. So much room. Comfortable bed and very quiet. We will recommend Hotel Clemons to anyone we know coming to Chattanooga.
- 5/5
Always a great stay!
- 5/5
Amazing Hotel!!!! Absolutely gorgeous!!! The staff are top notch and the Hotel is stunning.
- 5/5
Great place! The building is not ordinary, but that made the stay even more special!
- 5/5
Very spacious great for a family
- 5/5
The hotel staff was so friendly. Everything was clean & very comfortable.
- 5/5
Room was massive which was so nice even tho it was for night. Hot showers, comfy beds, and everything was so clean
- 5/5
Trendy and clean. Big rooms and lots of space
- 5/5
Great hotel! Rooms are apartment style with a bedroom, kitchen, living space. Pictures are accurate. Loved my stay. Location is great
- 5/5
I’m glad I came across Hotel Clemons. The superior apartment has 3 bedrooms 2 baths & nice sized common areas. My family was able to stay together in one unit while still having privacy. Check-in was quick and easy. Parking is in a deck across the street ($20) but the walk isn’t bad at all or you can park on the street. This hotel has a restaurant, bar, coffee shop, & game area. Good, safe area and just steps away from attractions. I’d highly recommend.
- 5/5
The property was wonderful.
- 5/5
Great Hotel
- 5/5
Great location and great space with high ceilings and large windows
- 5/5
Check in was easy. We got a good night’s sleep bc the beds and bedding were very comfortable.
- 5/5
Everything was great - room, location - but Gary and the rest of the staff were outstanding. They were very, friendly, and professional. Not many folks pull that off.
- 4/5
Loved the full kitchen The bed was one of the most comfortable ive ever slept in plus the room was cool and dark, perfect for great night sleep! Great location! Wish the room would've had a washer & dryer hooked up. Also would've been nice to have easier access to streaming movies/shows on the tv without having to use a phone or other device... All that being said 4/5 rating for me.
- 5/5
Nice rooms. Perfect space for our family of 4.Enjoyed the games in the lobby.
- 5/5
Photos are on the second day - we already slept in the bed and used the room.
- 5/5
There was no parking and to park for one day they charge you for two days and you have to get up at 4am to put money on the meter. This is the city parking but hotel could get some parking
- 5/5
Safe
- 5/5
We loved this hotel so much. So inviting and close to everything.
- 5/5
We normally stay at the Moxie in Chattanooga. But for my girlfriend‘s birthday, I decided to do something different and we could not have been happier. The staff was amazing and it was so convenient, clean and so comfortable! Instead of having a pony hotel, this was a beautiful apartm
- 5/5
A former apartment building, having rooms and bathrooms, a kitchen and ping pong table was glorious.
- 5/5
Research the parking options. Staff was not that informed about alternative parking options.
- 5/5
We love this place. First time stayed with my wife, second time with the kids. Ideal walkable hotel from Chattanooga convention.
- 5/5
Fantastic place! Wow! It was incredibly spacious, super fun for kids/families, centrally located and great for a short or long stay. I can't recommend it more highly!
- 5/5
Everything was simply amazing. From the service to decor and beyond. My family and I will definitely be back.
- 5/5
nice place would stay again
- 5/5
Great stay, very unique with lots of amenities would absolutely stay again.
- 5/5
It was a great experience. Andrew, who worked at the front desk, was friendly and attentive. The hotel has a great location, allowing for easy walking to many restaurants and other establishments.
- 5/5
The **full kitchen** was a huge bonus — sleek, fully equipped, and perfect for preparing meals when we wanted a break from eating out. Both bathrooms were spotless and updated, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The hotel itself has a cool historic vibe with modern updates, and the location is perfect for exploring downtown Chattanooga. We were within walking distance of restaurants, attractions, and the riverfront. This suite would be ideal for families, friend groups, or anyone wanting more space and amenities than a typical hotel room. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back!
- 5/5
Such a fun atmosphere!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel in a nice location
- 5/5
Perfect location with plenty of restaurants very close and Riverwalk an easy 15 minutes! Andrew at the desk and the staff at the cafe were wonderful❤️
- 5/5
Great place and will definitely stay again when in the area. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Charming, fresh, and affordable! Love the spacious rooms, kitchen, comfortable beds, and pleasing decor. The location is great, staff was wonderful! Will definitely be booking again. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Great location for a downtown stay. Walking distance to the Aquarium. Several places to dine from family friendly to upscale also within walking distance. Our unit was a 2 bedroom 2 bath with kitchen and large sitting area for the cost of a traditional cramped 2 bed motel room. There isn't a pool but the lobby has ping pong, billiards, foos ball and air hockey which is great for the teenage guests. I would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
I always stay here when I am in Chattanooga. I’ve stayed in most of the downtown hotels and this one is the best one hands down! As a road warrior, I love the “not just another hotel room” feel. The Peet’s coffee shop was a nice addition.
- 5/5
Awesome place to stay
- 5/5
We stayed here on the way home from Florida and we wish we’d had stayed there on the way down as well! The rooms were so spacious and beds were very comfortable. Lots of dining options right out the front door. We will definitely return!
- 5/5
We’ve stayed at Hotel Clemons 4 times now & enjoyed it every time. Its location is great & the coffee bar & games area in the lobby is great. We’ll definitely stay again when we are next in Chattanooga
- 5/5
