Motel 6 Chattanooga, TN - Downtown

Moldy shower curtains, faucet never stopped, the building smelled of smoke everywhere. But I will say the front desk staff was very nice.

The hotel was very reasonably priced. Should have been more description of what part of town it was in. Very ghetto. How shady the area was.

Found a bag of dope in the bed upon arrival with my 2 year old granddaughter. Checked back out and called police from parking lot. They came and got the drugs and searched the room for anything else. I'm still fighting with booking.com to get my refund.

The bed very comfortable. We had an accessible room. The bathroom was set up perfectly. My partner was able to do a full 360 while in the bathroom. Plenty of room to maneuver around the room. This is an older hotel. Smells stale which is normal. There is a light switch by the bed which would be nice but it's behind the pillows. We keep hitting it in out sleep and turning on the lights all night.

Smells like a combination of unwashed people, cigarette smoke, and despair.

It was a cheap price but thats the only good thing about this place. It was dirty. Bed had hair in it. It smelled even worse. Unsafe neighborhood!! We had to go find a different motel for the night.

Granted, at a Motel 6, I don’t expect luxury…however, I do expect a clean, safe room, and this establishment was not that. I personally feel like this Motel 6 needs to be condemned, because as soon as the sun starts to go down, you have all these roaches on everything, the walls, in the showers, etc. it’s disgusting and gross. The toilet wasn’t cleaned, and the window was missing a piece of glass (as if it had been punched out or hit with a ball), they also didn’t try to clean up that glass. I have had two horrible experiences with Motel 6 in a row, and will never be coming back.

The only good thing about this place was their employee Tiffany. She was friendly & very sweet & helpful. The listing & pictures are very deceptive! There was no coffee. I asked about coffee & was rudely told to go to the store down the road & get some. The room had no cold water in the bathroom sink, the mattress was absolutely terrible, two flat, old pillows, light switches are behind the pillows under the headboard. The lights above the the bed turned on every time you tried to lean back against the pillow. They have long term residents with highly visible sores all over their bodies, roaches, the air conditioner unit rattled so bad we could only use it for a couple minutes at a time. They provide you with two towels & two washcloths, two small bars of soap. If you need additional toiletries, you have to purchase them from the vending machine in the lobby. The drink vending machine doesn't cool so all the drinks were warm. The location is basically in the ghetto. You will be asked for money, food & cigarettes just walking to your car. I asked for a refund shortly after checking in & was told no. I've stayed in some bad motels in the past & this one has been one of the worst. Saturday morning, housekeeping came by banging on the door like the police. He got irritated when I told him I didn't need anything & shouted at me in a different language when I wouldn't open the door. I left shortly after that for the day. I got back to the room about 9 pm & my key card wouldn't work to let me in the room. I finally got in & noticed my clothes & toiletries had been gone through. The front desk claims no one went in there of course. I could say tons more but I won't. Don't stay here.

This place was gross and we didn’t even stay. We lost what we paid for the room, but it was completely warranted after entering this property.

More like an impoverished apartment complex. Tenants loud up until 1am, can hear what's going on in the next room. Filthy towels and shower. Roach infested, will NEVER stay there again. Terrible experience.

It was ok

Parking was easy! Very convenient! Had ice machine , vending machine for drinks snacks and hygiene products! Tried to charge 3.00 for one tampon but overall good stay for the price . I wish the rooms would have mini fridges and microwaves and a tad bit more storage space! The only thing I have to complain about is the roach problem. Definitely needs to sprayed and the hotel would be a perfect stay !

This is not the place expected... It's a good hotel for the homeless to hang out and trap. It's roach infested and probably bed bugs too,as I got up I was itching.they have no fridge or microwave in room . No blow dryer .the ac didn't work. It smelt so bad of black mold I had to burn incents and then the fire detector kept goin off. For $70 it should b condemned and remodeled cuz it damn sure ain't worth it...

The room had a Crack Pipe in it and pills behind the bed, no hot water and a Fowl Odor as well, this is Crazy.

No breakfast location perfect it was close to hospital Everything else. Dirty and smelly. Sheets has cigarette burns in the covers. Sheets were brown and dingy.

Not only do roaches scatter when you enter your room, they crawl across the desk, the floor in the closet and the honorable ones self eliminated in the toilet. The hotel had 2 other cars there, assume workers, but plenty of crackheads and homless coming in And out as it appears to be used as a hlafway house or a homleless shelter. This is a major risk to peoples safety, both personally and to thier belongings and vehicle. What an absolute disgusting nightmare.

When we went into the room assigned to us there were multiple bugs in the bathroom. When I inquired about a refund so we could stay somewhere else I was advised that I needed to go to the website I rented the room from and your website said no refunds so we ended uo spending 2 nights in a room with cockroaches in it. I killed about 6 between Friday and when we left Sunday morning

The place looks nothing like the pictures. Bed spread had burn holes even though it says no smoking, Mattress was shot and needs replacement. Bath tub was dirty. Bad repair work all over the entire place, got woke up at 3am due to loud people yelling in the hall way. Elevator was dirty where you did not want to touch the buttons. Will never do Motel 6 again because of this trip

Nothing Dangerous part of town. Husband and I were going to stay the night here on way to pigeon forge it was late in the night. When we got there we seen so so so manyyyyy cops! I don’t know what happened but we didn’t stay. Upon looking online we seen months eariler several homicides that happened. Do not stay it’s not safe

Our smoke detector was literally ripped out of the wall and missing, the blankets had what looked like cigarette burns all over them even though it was a non smoking room, the mini fridge REEKED of cleaning supplies, and the ceiling was literally falling apart. The pictures are a damn lie it looks nothing like that.

The shower was nasty. Like black nasty and hair every where. I'm blonde this was long and black so not mine. Some bleach could take care of the black dirt. The bed was like sleeping on the floor and that is what it is but when I woke to find cock roaches in bed with me it was a he'll no to no. I grabbed my 2 small grandson and was out like a light. I had 3 melt downs today thinking about them nasty things on or near me and the boys.????

Do not book reservations here. When I booked the reservation for a family emergency. I paid online and then when I arrived they insisted an additional 200 dollars per room per night.

I was never able to check in. I was told of some convoluted issue where I was going to need to cancel the reservation (which it was too late to do as it was past check in time) and then be charged several other charges. The clerk was never able to explain it to me and I left without ever checking in and still was charged for the room. I have also contact Hotels.com but still no response.

Dirty, Blood stains on the wall

The property was dirty and it was the most unsafe I’ve ever felt in a hotel. Bathroom was grimey and almost never cleaned. There were people passed out on drugs outside, there was a fight in the hallway and everything was disgusting. Totally unsafe, super gross I made a huge mistake.

The bed was smashed on one side. The people there were smoking and were making too much noice. It was not family oriented I was scared.

It is conveniently located nearby to Downtown Chattanooga and is pretty accessible for departure / entry.

I was sympathetic to them until they didn’t have coffee out at 6:30am as advertised. I waited 20 minutes and made myself late and still went without it. Got a sense they really don’t care.

Simply the worst hotel I’ve ever been, and I travelled to over 50 countries. It’s unbelievable how Motel 6 (a low bar by itself) can allow this franchisee to operate). Everything was dirty, smelly and disgusting. Bedsheets were used and stained. Bathroom dirty and broken. Towels looked like dirty rugs. The room smelled like old cigarettes and mold. Don’t stay there! You will regret it!

Driving up... I almost turned around and left... there were sketchy-looking people hanging around the front door entrance. The front desk clerk had no enthusiasm and offered no information. Thete was a gentleman standing next to her--staring at us! (Weird...) The lobby area had run down, soiled furniture and the only microwave was in the lobby. A man who appeated to come from outside, warmed up his food and left back out the door. Another one burned his popcorn and it could be smelled throughout the motel. Inside the room, was mold in the bathtub area. The bathroom sink was stained... Needless to say that we both slept on top of the sheets and checked out the next morning. Didn't feel safe at all, but was too tired to keep driving!
