Terrible desk clerk eating Takis, wearing a sloppy tshirt, and scowling. Very rude and got nasty when confronted about it. No consideration for having a handicapped person in our party. She would not give her name BTW. There was a wonderful place down the street, so we didn't mind as much losing hundreds on whatever scam they had going on.

The property looked like other Tru properties where we’ve stayed and the room appeared the same but a closer look showed it’s an older property and the needs some updating. The bed linens were thin, dingy, the pillows smelled a bit and the bed was lumpy, hard and very uncomfortable and should be replaced. We got to the breakfast area at 9:40 but the juice and yogurt machine were both empty and the coffee was weak and that’s usually all we have. The food manager should do better. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place!

Gross not clean room. Super loud, couldn’t sleep at all due to the noise. Staff doesn’t help or care. Not pet friendly as there’s no grass for your dog to even try and use the restroom.

I normally do not write bad reviews but BEWARE of this TRU. Not in the best area and you could tell that this property has not been maintained very well. We stay at TRU quite often but this one was by far the worst experience we have had. Walking into the room it had a musty smell and was not clean at all. The floor around the AC was buckled and The AC WAS very loud when it cut on so loud it would wake you up at night. The TV remote was missing so I had to get one from the front desk. When taking a shower that night we had just enough soap for that night and no shampoo. Thank goodness I had packed some just in case. Not to mention 2 half rolls of toilet paper with no extra so we ran out. Keep in mind we are 2 day guests and TRU has an every other day room service so that was not an ideal situation. I don’t feel like I should have to ask for these items to be restocked for a 2 day stay. I know no fault in the hotel but there was some event in town and the other guest were very loud, up all night banging and up super early. We had the room next to the stairs so slamming doors along with the load AC made for miserable nights sleep. Over all just not a good experience, I definitely will think twice before I stay at another TRU by Hilton again.

We liked how close it was to the ballpark we were playing at. We liked the activities in the lobby for kids as well! Our check in was delayed two hours due to the room not being ready. Also, we let the attendant know about breakfast items needing replenishment and were ignored.

Place was nice and clean. I thought the breakfast was pretty good, pancake maker, sausage and eggs. I’d stay there again. Make sure to use the hilton honors app to pick your own room.

Some other parts that were not as good.....noisy neighbors next door who did not settle down until midnight (on a Tuesday evening). Breakfast was just "ok" so that was somewhat disappointing. Desk clerk was running around with other issues so check out was not as prompt as we would have liked. Other than that, everything went ok.

Average stay. The room was on the 1st floor and looked and felt like a room in a basement, gray and dark. I know the planks of wood on the walls was supposed to be decoration... but the should be painted or stained at least.

It was nice having free hot breakfast every morning, the staff was nice and friendly and I had a good night's sleep. The only downside was the first day that we were to have our room serviced, it didn't happen and I ended up changing my own linen. We informed management at the front desk and they did accommodate us with extra points for the inconvenience. Beyond that, the room was a little smaller than expected, but overall, we had a decent stay.

The staff was absolutely excellent. The decor was pretty and we were overall happy with the cleanliness. The bathroom had a few stray hairs and one of the knobs to hang stuff was broken but the staff said they would get it fixed. My dad had surgery and had to stay longer and they were so welcoming and helpful in us extending our stay and then having to cancel it. Overall best hotel experience I've ever had.

Decently clean, toilet paper needed to be changed both times we visited, very gross to leave used paper and not have a fresh roll. Ive never seen that at any hotel I’ve been to. Tissue was almost out both times as well. Bed Comforter was thin and cheap, felt only a touch heavier than a sheet or lightweight throw blanket. Only three thin/limp pillows per bed. It felt cheap. Staff was pleasant, food was decent. It was a meh stay. It was nothing I’d be looking forward to doing again or plan to do. You get what you pay for and I wouldn’t stay here again unless I had no other option.

Room needed a deep cleaning, bathroom wall made me feel sick, bathroom sink drain stopper not working. Hand soap dispenser was empty.Greasy fingerprints everywhere in the room. Hallway smelled like dirty carpet. No pancake mix for machine, juice machine juice was watered down, tables were all dirty, there was someone working there but he just watched us didn’t clean any tables when people were finished. Front desk left alone often. From 7 am to 7:15 this morning there was no one there. One left and the other one didn’t show up till 7:15. Management needs a replacement. We stayed in Sharonville yesterday and it was top notch….what a difference.

1st room 220 heat didn’t work. It was cold outside so needed heat. They apologized and moved us to another room. Lobby was beautifully decorated. Staff very friendly and efficient. Have stayed before and will again.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. But, unlike previous Tru experiences, we did not sleep well. The ac/heat unit was EXTREMELY , noisy! Almost every time it kicked on it woke both of us up. Also, now to self, never take a room next to the elevators. We heard people on and off the elevator very late into the night. Room 219. Maybe it was the construction of the hotel but we could easily hear normal conversations in the next room and in the hallway.

The room was very clean and breakfast was great. The location was great. I had stayed at this location last year as I was passing through Chattanooga on my way to a funeral. I liked the hotel so much last year that I chose to stay at this location for my weekend get away. It did not disappoint.

Overall pleased with our stay. Thin walls could hear the next room. Typical hotel breakfast bar. Staff was very friendly. Trash containers could be emptied more often. Small area for walking your dog.

Everything was great, from friendly and accommodating staff at check-in, to a clean and spotless room, a decent and delicious morning breakfast with good coffee and all the staff that I interacted with were friendly, attentive and professional! I’d definitely recommend this hotel and I’d stay here next time I’m in Chattanooga!

Automatic pancake maker was cool. And sliced kielbasa sausage was a fun alternative for breakfast. Room was good but not outstanding. The Halloween decorations were over-the-top imo. Felt like I was entering a carnival instead of a Hilton hotel.

For starters in the lobby and elevator, there is a terrible odor that smells almost musty. In our room, the AC unit was so loud that I could hardly hear my wife when I was speaking to her. We spent our first day checking out Rock City but needed to come back to the hotel to prepare for a wedding. When I asked if I could get new towels, I was told I couldn't because they were still washing them.. It was almost 2pm. I just walked into the laundry room and received them. While this hotel is fairly inexpensive for a Hilton property, it needs a TON of updates and I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you absolutely have to.

Close to friends and family

Bathroom sink was clogged and my TV didn’t work. The floors and baseboards could be cleaner. Only needed a place to sleep so I just dealt with it. I did tell the front desk when checking out and they said they will get maintenance to take care of it

I did feel unsafe to park my car there. The area is not very good, and if you park in the front lot next to the street, there are sketchy characters walking by, and if you park in the side lot, it's backed up against an equally sketchy-looking Red Roof Inn. It was fine for just a single night stay while on the road, but I wouldn't stay longer and I probably wouldn't go back.

Staff was helpful and kind. Hotel is in good shape as of 8/30/25. Rooms were clean, bathrooms clean. Beds are not great. Happy with my choice to stay here for the night.

No issues

The hotel is next to a Red Roof Inn that looks kinda sketchy during night time. I was uneasy about leaving our u-haul truck by it over night. Everything was fine in the morning, so no worries there! The rest of the area around the hotel looked and felt safe. We were able to find plenty of open parking spots in the back of the hotel to park our 26’ U-haul. The staff were super nice. The beds were unbelievably comfortable and the pillows were amazing. The hotel was very quiet and super clean. The price was decent for a 1 night stay in a 2 Queen bedroom. The breakfast was decent and I would 10/10 recommend the Tru By Hilton Chattanooga Hamilton Place!

Everything was very nice

Love the Hilton self check in and electronic key. We arrived about 12:30 am and had already checked in, had a room number and electronic key on my phone. Staff and room were great. Only hitch was when I went to enter my room the door was already open and there was a dirty hand towel on the sink. I think maybe someone was making a repair in the room and didn't go back to check it. Called the desk to confirm it was my room, the attendant apologized for whatever had happened and all was fine. I will make it a point to stay at more Tru hotels while traveling.

So far all my stays at Tru have been awesome. Clean comfortable.

Made a reservation on while in transit arrived and checked in with no issues. The room was clean a little cold for my taste bt easily fixed. The bed was comfortable and slept thru the night. The breakfast was the typical and very good. I was driving thru Chattanooga but will return and stay here again.

Room was clean and nice. Could not adjust temp- only hi or low. This made the room too cold. No water bottles at front desk for sale, yet had a whole table of water for "special guests ". We would have paid for a bottle of water.

Had a very pleasant stay for business. My first room I went into the air conditioner did not work and they promptly got me into another one other room. Fantastic stay and tasty breakfast options.

This was a great place to stay but the only thing that was disappointing was the beds. They were horrible, ended up switching rooms but both rooms the beds were not comfortable. Besides that it was convenient with plenty of options for food,shopping and attractions.

This was fine for a quick overnight stay. The hotel itself was nice and clean. The room was fine but very small though for a longer trip. Breakfast was pretty sad though. They were out of most items and had a limited set up for what I’ve come to expect from the Hilton line-up.

The only complaint I have is when I checked in, using Expedia, the front clerk couldn’t find my reservation. He gave me a number to call them left to sit at table eating and on phone, Expedia tried calling to get problem fixed but he didn’t get up I tried giving him my phone to talk with the person from Expedia but he refused too and then called the person on phone a liar about calling. He was very rude!! The front desk at checkout was very friendly and helpful! Wish I had him at checkin. Other than this the hotel was very nice and clean!!

My husband and I love staying at a Tru By Hilton hotel. Consistently, they are clean, affordable and have very friendly staff. This particular hotel was in a lovely area with absolutely anything we wanted from restaurants to shopping nearby. We were traveling home from vacation and only stayed one night, but once again, we were very satisfied!!

Front desk staff was nowhere tp be seen for 15 mins upon checkin. Was extremely rude when theyvshowed up. Rooms are small and beds and pillows are uncomfortable to say the least.

The hotel is easy to get to from I-75. Many restaurants a short driving distance. Room was clean,sheets very soft, large T.V. Loved lotion and shampoo products. Breakfast typical hotel breakfast. Very good hotel for the cost.

This was our second time staying at this hotel. We had no issues with the first visit so we booked again in a two week period. The only issue is thatt the hotel allows pets in all the rooms. As a result, we were bothered by flea bites beginning in the night. I did point out the flea bites to the clerk when I checked out. They reassured me that they clean each room paying attention to issues we experienced. I doubt if I will stay in a hotel that allows pets going forward and I have pets of my own.

Room was cold; heat not working properly; I reserved a room with a King bed - I was given a room with two full beds so I was uncomfortable (I am not a small person). Room is too small too minimalized (claustrophobic)

While the actual stay at this hotel was great, it would have been greater if Travelocity had issued a proper virtual card to allow my room reservation to proceed smoothly. The very helpful Tru employee had to plead with them over the phone for 45 minutes before we could get into our room, so don't use Travelocity!.

The good: Our room was by the elevator and it was surprisingly quiet! The bed was also very comfortable. The AC was efficient and not super loud. Overall, I would probably choose a Holiday Inn Express (where we usually stay) over this hotel chain.

Property is good and location is safe. Very near to all of the places that I wanted to go. All the staff was very helpful. Rooms are nice, just the air conditioning system is very loud.

The lady in the breakfast area was very rude. Also decided to drag the metal trashcan on its side down the whole hallways textured tiled floor. Only 1 elevator worked, while a whole football team was staying there.

The room was terrific; clean and the bed comfortable. Only comment was the water pressure in the shower was very powerful. Probably don't need it so strong in order to save water.

The doors do not close, they SLAM shut. No one seems to be able to guide the door to close, they just let them slam. These doors slam so hard that the walls shake. This wasn't helped by having a high school football team on my hallway, boys who apparently went from room to room all night and ran up and down the hall from 3:30 to 4:00 a.m. I complained several times and was given "apologies" by the staff. I will never stay at a Tru property again.

Furthermore, when we checked in on Sunday evening, we were told by the young man that checked us in that breakfast was served until 09:30. We walked into the lobby at just a few minutes past 09:00 abd breakfast was already closed. We V spoke to the girl on duty at the desk and were informed that breakfast ended at 09:00 during the week. We ended up n going to McDonalds and spending just b a l ittle over $12.00 for our breakfast. This may not seem like much money, but it was enough to put us in a bind for our food budget yesterday and we were unable to eat a decent lunch. Last evening, when we arrived back at the inn after spending all day out we found tjat our keys to the facility did not work. We had to walk around to the front door and enter there. Agai. This may not seem like a long walk, but I am 100% disabled veteran with m p bility issues and poor lance due to nervous system idies directly attributable to my service to this nation anf it was difficult for me. T J e kid at the desk re-programmed our key cards and we thought that we were fine; until we got to the room. We V walked into the room to find that our room hadnt been touched anf there were no clean towels. My wife went back to the desk and l was told rather snippily that housekeeping was only every other day. We wouldnt have stayed here if we had known that. We wont be back to TRU.

Recently visited Chattanooga and chose this hotel just to spend one night in. Our stay started out not so great when we got to our room and there was a horrible smell, dirty floors, and hair in the fridge. The guy at the front desk was extremely kind and got us a new room immediately which was much better. Everything was better until breakfast the next morning where the lady who was working the breakfast area was extremely rude to everyone around her and rushed to clean up the breakfast area just so she could hurry up and go home. She even very loudly vocalized that she had stuff to do and was getting out of there. I work in healthcare so I understand being exhausted after a long shift but that’s no reason to be rude and rush to get important task done. All in all it wasn’t a horrible stay but I definitely would not spend more than one night here and probably will never use this hotel again.
