Reviews
The hotel has a great location with easy access to restaurants, bars, and shopping. However, the rooms are outdated and could use some updates, and there are issues with noise and cleanliness. Some guests have also reported problems with parking and unhelpful staff.

CLEAN ROOM

It was fine. Kind of older than the pictures and there’s a bit of a smell. The room was clean and the bed was great. Slightly disappointed because of the overall cost.

- 1/5
Very bad customer service, old “hotel “ not clean
- 2.5/5
Shower made loud noise; people stomping above us; air conditioner very loud: elevator very small and musty smelling; for $400 a night I expected better.
- 3/5
The location was ok No refrigerator or microwave To r shower head was too high and couldn’t just it
- 3/5
Being 6’4 your toilets need to be updated Might as well be sitting on the floor and playing 52 dollars a night for parking is absolutely ridiculous.
- 5/5
Very nice staff, convient Bar/Restaurant connected to the building.
- 3/5
Their bathroom is clean and the terrace is nice. But the rooms are quite old. The lobby, the room and aisles smells a little off.
- 3/5
It was a good location with decent parking. It was old and small. The elevator was cramped. It was a weird layout and almost felt institutional.
- 3/5
The hotel needs a major cosmetic update. While the staff was friendly and the actual room was clean. Rest of the common areas like pool was not finished with some wires hanging everywhere.

From the moment I walked in the door I felt so welcomed. Wallace greeted me and helped me with my luggage. I had had a long train ride and the staff was so nice and got me checked in straight away. Special shout out to Wallace who helped on a daily basis! It would have been nice to have a microwave and fridge in the room. Also, all of the other Best Westerns I have stayed at breakfast was included, so that would have been a bonus for sure.
- 4/5
It was a little dated but clean enough, reasonable location walkable to the river walk and attractions - you get what you pay for and it was value for money - we were only there 1 night view
- 2/5
Very old properry
- 4/5
The staff was great. Wallace and the man that waited on us Saturday night in the restaurant portion of the hotel. Also, our air conditioner went out, but maintenance came and fixed the issue immediately. We didn't like how small the elevator was and no air ventilation in the hallways or elevator.
- 4/5
It is a good hotel with an excellent location, walking distance to the touristic sites. The pool is nice and the 24 hour tea and coffee availability is very convenient.

Upon arrival went to check in and the clerk at the desk said I didn’t have a reservation. I showed him my itinerary and where it said I paid in full prepaid and he still said I had no reservation about 30 minutes into it. He finally finds my reservation books a room for 536. We go to look for room 536. There is no room 536 had to go back down after getting stuck in the elevator in the elevator door closing on the person with me and I told the front desk person there’s no room 536. He says oh did I write it down wrong then he continues to rebook a room to 517 we got stuck in elevator #2 , 3 different times in two days. And the elevator door would keep closing on you.

Boss Man at the front desk. Very nice! Elevator not working correctly

Good central location, beds were comfortable. Nice rooftop and pool. Room was clean and housekeeping staff was helpful. Twenty minute walk to the blue line. Staff was hardly ever at the desk and not very helpful. Elevators are small and dirty they need to be updated. Very noisy area with homeless man bothering my family and I. Breakfast wasn't good at the restaurant downstairs. Refrigerator was not in room like promised.

The hallway smelled and was not the cleanest. Room kind of smelled as well. Had to go out to parking garage to get on the elevator to our floor. The elevator was the smallest elevator. Was tight with 4 people in it.

This stay was for one night but honestly this stay definitely impressed me , very easy to get to from the train station, staff was very friendly and welcoming, our room very spacious and the entire place was very clean, I would definitely recommend here for your stay if needed.

- 5/5
Clean room, nice bar and cheap stay. Everything in the downtown area is in walking distance
- 3/5
Location is excellent but be prepared for very busy street so a lot of noise. The building seems have been rehab. The rooms are nice spacious pretty clean the hallways aren’t they need to be updated. They have enough stuff to get drinks and coffee and everything for a small hotel kind of a man the coffee pot didn’t work in nice clean house. Very good front desk staff.
- 3/5
The elevator, one of only two was inoperable for my entire stay. The fire stairs were poorly marked and cluttered. The cafe & bar staff were friendly, thoughtful & very professional.
- 5/5
The property provides easy access to the rooftop and pool areas, beside that lifeguard services are not available. Furthermore, self-parking is a viable alternative, and really good prices compare with other area.
- 4/5
Nice location
- 5/5
Everything was great except parking
- 4/5
Fine stay for a nice price
- 2/5
The experience was not very good; in the middle of the night, rain fell on the air conditioner, and the sound was extremely annoying—so much so that I was unable to sleep afterward.
- 5/5
Nice people
- 4/5
No breakfast
- 3/5
The rooms are clean. Staff was friendly. I would stay again due to the location and affordability.
- 5/5
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good facilities and very good location
- 4/5
Room was clean and breakfast wasn't something we indulged in.
- 5/5
It was nice. Just loud due to thin walls and it being downtown.
- 5/5
yes Breakfast was great . Bar Good

Room was okay, bed was extremely uncomfortable. Found some trash from previous people in our room. Also did not have a microwave like the listing stated

- 4/5
Clean room and good location
- 4/5
Staff was friendly. Perfect spot to lay your head and sleep. Don't expect a resort. Nicely located, cheaper parking, and a bed. If you're going to spend your days out and about all day it's nice. If you plan spend time in the room other than sleeping this is not the place. Hot coffee in the morning, free WiFi and beds.
- 3/5
Fueron 4 noches y no tuvimos servicio de aseo en el cuarto, la alberca estaba fuera de servicio
- 5/5
Great hotel overall. Staff was very friendly. Hotel is perfectly placed around everything you need or want to see. Great for family weekend
- 4/5
The pool was closed
- 3/5
Pool wasn't working
- 4/5
Property and location was great. Noise from street terrible.
- 1/5
The third and fourth floor smells like urine and the front desk staff/manager claimed they were unaware. Beds had stains on the mattresses. Outdated furniture.
- 4/5
The staff was amazing! The lower rating was for the property and quality
- 5/5
Overall experience was good. Everyone there was polite. Would go stay there again.
- 5/5
Very Clean!!
- 2/5
I felt so unsafe here there were multiple issues I would never recommend this hotel, especially for a solo girl travelling
- 4/5
Everything is great except for a minor inconvenience where the AC in the room was not properly functioning, so it was somewhat hot in the middle of the night for my friend and I.
- 5/5
Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Everything about the stay in the room was great. I couldn’t find the icemaker, but I also didn’t ask so that’s on me. I would stay again for sure.
- 5/5
Very clean staff was outstanding
- 3/5
We expected the pool to be open. I was told the pipe was broken. It was closed. I chose this hotel because of the pool and I need to need with my legs. Also, I was not offered the $10 breakfast which I have been offered before we had a difficulty with the heating unit, making all kinds of noise and we had to change a room the next night. Place was clean Steve helpful unusual events caused problems.
- 2/5
Staff was very friendly. But the rooms were nothing like the pictures and were quite dirty and smelly.
- 5/5
Everything was great for the price
- 1/5
The hotel is very old and outdated and smelled like smoke and had drunk people in and out of the place. There was a couple arguing and getting very loud and was physically fighting in the hallway.
- 2/5
The pool wasn’t working. Room smelled not cleaned.
- 4/5
Amazing cleaning staff! My only issue was I called the front desk twice for towels and toilet paper. They never brought any up.
- 4/5
Staff was nice room itself was clean
- 4/5
Wasn’t too big bt was decent I liked it. Only has 4 floors.
- 5/5
The room was spotless and the staff were incredible to me. I am handicap and they made every effort to help and make sure my stay was comfortable and I met all my needs.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
The manager Jordan was amazing, friendly and welcoming. Always done his best to meet our needs
- 1/5
I was charged 570.00 as a non smoker. I am less than pleased and I never received a cleaning when asked. The place was run down and they scam people. Don’t stay there.
- 1/5
staff rude & they lied on me
- 5/5
Clean room and location.
- 1/5
The room didn’t have a fridge or Microwave. Someone below us was playing loud music till 3am & we complained about it. Can hear everything with the thin walls. Would never come back.

- 3/5
The room was small and smelled like old cigarettes.
- 5/5
Always easy check-in here and never really any issues. Right next to a Mcdonald’s, Mag mile is only lik a 10-15min walk.
- 2/5
At the time of my stay, the bathroom was not fully clean and also the room smelled as if they did not clean past sent out the room or like someone came from the pool and whacked the carpet
- 3/5
Just confusing getting around
- 5/5
Kind staff, simple rooms but clean. Will stay again.
- 5/5
Jordan at the check in desk was Amazing!!! So friendly and great guest service!!!
- 4/5
Jordan at the front desk check in was amazing
- 2/5
It's not clean, it's very noisy, and the windows don't block out the noise from outside.
- 4/5
The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. Didnt really enjoy the pool as many children were there unsupervised. Room service was amazing.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, comfortable bed and quiet! Also super convenient location. Staff was so friendly and helpful
- 4/5
Really enjoyed this hotel great location price is good too! Staff very nice , but $100 each day for deposit is kinda crazy… besides that good.
- 5/5
room is good
- 5/5
It was a good space
- 1/5
Extremely disappointing stay, very confusing big building feels sort of sketchy, loud teenagers partying and dancing in the hallway right in front of my room, 4th floor reeked of marijuana so I asked to be moved just to get moved and my heat didn’t work def not worh almost $200 Expedia reviews made it seem way better.
- 4/5
It was a clean, comfortable place to stay while here for work, and the location was great! Close to fantastic restaurants, downtown & everything you need.
- 5/5
What made it an excellent stay was the timely food order from Ora pizza clean fresh smell nicely folded towels. Jordan was very understanding of my concern when checking out. I will stay again

Smokers on a nonsmoking building, the smell of marijuana and cigarette was horrible
- 3/5
Elevator 2 was out of service
- 3/5
Clean room, small beds.
- 1/5
The hallway smelt like cigarette smoke, the breakfast was not available and when we got late checkout a employee banged on our door and told us”bro check out was at 11, you need to get out”
- 5/5
Clean,easy check-in.
- 5/5
Very comfortable and everything is close
- 3/5
Staff were great. Room was fine, the in unit heater didn't work very well. Elevator smelled bad. You also have to walk through a parking garage after checking in to get to your room
- 3/5
The hotel is not a bad option and in a great location. However, there was a problem with the HVAC system and the elevator and the hallways were very hot during our visit. Other than that, it's nice walking distance to the river.
- 5/5
Loved it will be back.
- 1/5
staff was rude. called room at 1 am saying we aren’t supposed to be staying there after we gave them id 3 times and they saw i was under 21. we woke up to the call we were sleeping.

- 5/5
The guy at the desk was very helpful. Showed me and my husband how to get around downtown! Roos was clean. Will be booking here everytime we visit chicago. Great location as well. Close to magnificent mile !
- 1/5
room did not look as advertised on the pictures and the smell was unbearable. opened th door took one look and checked out and went to another hotel. do NOT book here.
- 3/5
Good
- 3/5
Staff was very courteous. The room was clean but the paint on the walls was very chipped. We were very disappointed that the pool eas closed. There was no notice the pool was closed if I had known I wouldn't have booked my stay here. One of the reasons i booked was because I was looking forward to using the pool. We asked for a discount and received nothing. We left didnt even stay the night. And still had to pay 50 dollars for parking on top of that for only a couple of hours. Not fair
- 3/5
from thin walls to highly edited pictures online to the pool being out of service to the smell in our room to the AWFUL view of a wall outside, this place was not was i expected at all it's in a good part of town for nightlife and food but if you care about where you're going to lay your head pick a different place.
- 3/5
Thei is a nice place. There is no reason for them to advertise a pool, be paid for a pool, and then have no pool.
- 3/5
Wasn’t the freshest property. Appeared used and run down.
- 5/5
The staff at check in
- 5/5
Manager MrJordyn - His customer care is so soooo great.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly
- 1/5
room was dirty and people were very rude to me and my guest very very unsatisfied
- 5/5
Nice and clean room! Nice pool area.
- 2/5
This hotel is so loud. You can hear the street and the walls are paper thin. I could hear someone’s alarm go off all morning. It is not accessible at all. Housekeeping shows up at 8 am. You can hear the person in the room next to you turn on their sink, flush their toilet, etc. mattress is so uncomfortable. Don’t waste ur money
- 4/5
Room was very clean and comfy. The toilet area was a little castrophic. Our service dog was comfortable as well.
- 3/5
The location is great, close to everything. The hotel is very dated, only the reception area is updated. The remainder of the hotel is old, stinks, floors in the hallway creak, and the walls in the rooms are paper thin. We could hear the people above us walking hard for about two hours late at night each night, to the point that I couldn’t sleep. I turned on the air conditioner fan and brown noise trying to block out the noise so my daughter and I could sleep. It was horrible. The staff was very nice and the amenities like the indoor pool and rooftop were very nice.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Great place located beautifully & had everything one needs. Definitely recommend
- 4/5
NO MINI FRIDGE IN ROOM, AND IF ITS RAINING BE CAREFUL WALKING BETWEEN THE BUILDINGS BECAUSE ITS SLIPPERY.

Room was very nice. Staff were great. Breakfast was OK but the location of the room above the parking garage was suboptimal and the noise at this location is next to unbearable.

The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable, and were very accommodating with my schedule and needs. The room was spacious and clean with a large amount of storage space.
- 5/5
Staff was courteous.
- 3/5
I did not like the mattress and box spring was on the floor did not have a base
- 4/5
Kind of dirty public areas. Room was clean.
- 2/5
Felt like the hotel version of “Los pollos hermanos”. Remarkable about its outdated look and tackiness. Hotel Personnel is super-nice though
- 5/5
Clean, friendly, close to everything!
- 3/5
The reservation for the weekend of the Chicago Marathon should have been highlighted at time of reservation as access by car between 6 am and 4 pm on Oct 12 was not allowed. Wallace, the door man, was a positive acquaintance.
- 4/5
Disappointed that we had to pay for daily parking.☹️
- 5/5
Room was clean, room was available before check in, perfect location for the money you pay
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
Everything was fine, and it was a good value my only suggestion that they improve the signage for where elevators are located on the floor. It wasn’t abundantly clear where to find the elevators, but I eventually figured out that if I walked towards the sign that says stairs, an elevator would be nearby.
- 1/5
Definitely outdated in the rooms and our bed was sitting on the floor. Great location to walk or uber.
- 3/5
Really should have more luxury for the price Room should have a refrigerator Bathroom toilet did not flush well at all - also outdated
- 5/5
Perfect for our weekend. Close to restaurants and shopping.
- 5/5
The king sized bed was so comfortable! Staff was awesome!
- 2/5
The only good thing was the shopping. Hotel was not worth the money. Halls smelled like a cannabis dispensary, toilet rarely flushed, food in the restaurant...well let's just say the salad was the best part. Excellent staff though.
- 4/5
Nice
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
Our room was noisy. With the windows closed and the air conditioning running loudly, the noise of traffic and car horns vibrated in the room. I think we managed to sleep for two hours.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
I'll be back again in April for the birthday weekend for sure I enjoyed my stay the front desk people were like family literally #BearDown y'all and I'll see y'all soon 💪💪
- 5/5
The Hotels location was perfect, also my son and we feel very safe, front desk services professional and friendly; for sure we will choose this hotel again. Thank you.
- 4/5
Good location and many restaurants nearby. Not too quiet, hear street noise. It seems old, but the condition is very good. The bathroom is a little small, and no refrigerator in the room.
- 5/5
Wonderful; will return in the future
- 4/5
Good location.
- 4/5
It was a great stay
- 5/5
Staff was friendly
- 5/5
Parking is super expensive
- 2/5
Definitely walkable, great location. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean but the bed wasn’t very comfortable to me, although my friend said her bed was. There’s no AC in the hallway or the elevator, which is very hot in July!! Also the elevator took forever!!
- 2/5
Had no service. Didn’t have extra towels, had to use the same towels. Trash was not taken out
- 4/5
Great value, especially over the holiday weekend. The exterior needs an upgrade, though, the rooms were clean and as advertised.
- 3/5
The hotel is a bit outdated but decent. The location is very good, easy access to many good areas around it.
- 5/5
It was conveniently located.
- 5/5
Craig thank you for making this stay enjoyable! We came down for a concert and he took care of us right away at check in and through our stay! We will be back for sure! :)
- 5/5
Convenient and clean
- 5/5
Its a really nice place ,very pleased.
- 2/5
Elevator was broke had to walk up five flights of stairs with all of our luggage when we got there and when we left. Also had to walk up and down every time we left and wanted to go somewhere. It was very inconvenient.
- 4/5
The location is fantastic, close to public transport and walkable to the River.
- 1/5
It was horrible , elevator barely worked had to take stairs , staff was NOT friendly , room and hotel was dirty and old , tried to get up to roof top elevators were broken . Horrible horrible experience. Pictures were very deceiving
- 3/5
At $50 per night parking is a bit dear. The pizzeria in the hotel is only okay. I doubt a true Chicagoan would say it's good deep dish. The shrimp fettucine was good.
- 5/5
Clean.
- 4/5
Elevator was a bit bad, everything else was good and just worked for me
- 5/5
My mom and i stayed for 3 nights, so so nice, pool and terrace are perfect relaxing options. workers are super friendly especially Wallis, he was so kind and very helpful and welcoming, he gave us advice and helped us if we needed it!! very nice restaurant too, yummy food and kind workers!
- 1/5
The terrace by the pool offered a beautiful view. The lobby where you check in was air conditioned and updated. Unfortunately, we weren’t in the lobby for our stay. The pictures the hotel provides were taken very strategically and misleading as a result. Our room was in a second building and we were directed to go back outside to enter that building through a different entrance; we found out later taking the elevator to 4th floor has bridge to that building. The building was run down and not air conditioned. As a result, the hallways and elevators were hot, humid, and very uncomfortable to walk through. The building itself was lacking routine maintenance which was reflected in chipped and peeling paint, with walls full of dings and scrapes. The hallways also smelled like urine, which also could be smelled in our individual room. The mattress needed replaced; it was a soft mattress on the platform which cause you to sink into it, providing no support. There was also no mini-fridge in the room so we were forced to waste our leftovers and had no place to keep drinks cold. The vending machine on our floor was out of service. The cup dispenser attached to the water dispenser in the “fitness room” was empty. I have to come to Chicago regularly for healthcare and will never choose this location again.
- 4/5
There was no refrigerator.
- 3/5
Upon entry into the elevator it was hot slow dirty and very small. The hallways had an awful smell. I asked n paid for a city view and I got a view of some dirty old buildings. The room itself was clean but needs updating, beds were comfortable but did not have a fridge or microwave. We had a girls night out with a 7 yr old granddaughter and she says if we had no other choice we would stay again. I think it’s over priced and u have to pay extra for parking with not enough parking spots. The best was the roof top deck with a nice view but it closed at 10.
- 2/5
Upon arrival I was informed that our reservation was not in their system. I pulled it up on my account and then the hotel no longer had the rooms we requested available. We settled for two separate rooms. The rooms were also very outdated and the building was bordering on abandoned. The elevator barely worked. One of our rooms key readers battery died (?) so we were locked out. I had to go down to the lobby 3 times before someone actually came to fix it. The ac went out in one room on our last morning. Overall would rather go somewhere else next time. Wallace the kind man working was debatably the only redeeming quality of this place. He is a gem.
- 4/5
Liked the pool and rooftop lounge. Could have been more helpful about helping us find transportation and bus routes.
- 3/5
Great location
- 5/5
I like the location. I like the quiet. I like the hospitality.
- 1/5
I did like that the hotel has pretty good room service and pretty good prices. The rooftop terrace has a pretty decent view. But the room was ugly. The bed was on the floor. The pool is dirty and old pretty much a rundown place in a really nice area
- 4/5
Good budget hotel
- 5/5
You could walk all downtown 😍
- 4/5
All was good except for the extremely slow elevator that could use an update. Service and cleanliness were good. Bed was extremely comfortable.
- 3/5
The property needs some renovations
- 3/5
The staff was friendly and helpful during check in, but there was only one working elevator that was old, not air conditioned and only fit 2-3 people. The hallways and stairwells were not air conditioned and had a very musty and damp smell. They were also not very clean. The room was average and clean for the most part but it was dated and old, there was paint chipping all around in the bathroom. They offered just coffee, no waters, it was an overall average to below average stay for the price.
- 5/5
We had a great stay in Chicago. Main point to make is how friendly all the staff were at the hotel.
- 5/5
Overall a great stay. Beds were very comfortable and enjoyable. The pool was large and led right out to the rooftop terrace.
- 3/5
Lower level parking area had too low of a ceiling, very outdated rooms
- 3/5
Nice room but the hallway had a terrible smell
- 1/5
No air conditioning in building. Slow service. Building seemed dirty
- 2/5
The halls smelled of urine. The hotel room had a strange smell and stained carpet
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and gave great suggestions for dinner options, shopping and transportation. The staff was very attentive to our needs and made sure the rooms were neat, clean and stocked.
- 4/5
Convenient location. The only disappointment was not having a microwave or refrigerator in the room.
- 5/5
nice hotel and nice staff and close to everything
- 2/5
The hotel seemed to be older and outdated. The elevators were very confusing and the hallways and rooms had a very stuffy smell. The beds also weren’t comfortable at all. Absolutely wouldn’t book again.
- 5/5
Our room was comfortable and clean, but the best part was the restaurant next to the hotel! We ordered room service for breakfast, and it was super tasty. Great location overall.
- 1/5
Don’t waste your time or money, elevators are very small no A/C, hallways are smelly and dark beds are ok for one night but no more than that, a/c in the room is very loud and you have to request housekeeping or you won’t have made beds and clean towels.
- 5/5
comfy bed, spacious room
- 1/5
This place is horrible don’t go dirty sheets and craziness across the street at McDonald’s
- 2/5
Airconditioning loud. Old room.
- 5/5
It is always good . We stay there a lot. The bldg itself is outdated and could use a little updating but the location is amazing.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay. The staff very good especially front desk. The room was vice nice but small. i would go for one of their bigger rooms next week.
- 1/5
I live to leave reviews, especially good reviews but this time I have to share my experience. We booked this room based off the photos that were posted. When we got to our room the mattress and box spring was on the floor, sheets were dirty and hallways smelled like straight urine. Craig and Jesse were very dismissive and lied and said all rooms were not equipped with bed frames but several customers showed their rooms had bed frames. I was very disappointed in this place.
- 4/5
The staff is very helpful. Walking distance to sounds, sites and palate.Great place to visit.
- 2/5
I had my children with me and my daughters comforter had a blood stain that obviously was washed but didn’t come out.
- 4/5
Hotel was good, but pictures online make it look much better than reality.

The staff was very friendly. Everything was clean. The hotel needs some love and repairs. The furniture was to large for the room. We were in a room right beside the ice, pop and snack machines. It was very loud. The room was right above the parking garage so that was loud as well. There was no view except for the garage and the other side of the building. The curtains would not close all the way so the light was coming through. The toilet did not want to flush very well. The staff was very friendly. The view from the pool deck was very nice. It does close at 10 pm so we just barely made it but glad we did. I thought it was a bit pricey for what it offered.

Great parking!

Parking was very tight here. Cars were way too close to each other. Stalls need to be wider.

It was in a good spot in river north and was reasonable

No ventilation in the washroom. Elevator was dirty and parking was expensive

Place was clean, couldn't ask for a better location, staff is great. We forgot an item and they were kind enough to ship it out to us. Couldn't ask for better service

Be prepared to add another $60 a night to the cost of your stay for parking. They have their own parking garage but DO NOT validate. The room we stayed in had cracked and peeling paint and the hallway it was down smelled like urine. Thankfully, we didn't spend much time at the hotel. But I have to give props for the rooftop terrace, it was nice and the view of the city was good. The location was good too... About 30 min walk to Millennium Park and Navy Pier.

Great location but a bit pricey once you add parking.

The hotel has no central air, leaving the hallways, elevators, and common areas uncomfortably hot. My room was average at best and, despite being advertised as including a refrigerator, had none. The front desk attendant was rude and dismissive, which only added to the frustration. Parking was a nightmare — half the lot was blocked off, the garage was so tight it was nearly impossible to navigate, and the only remaining spots were reserved for employees. It’s unacceptable that paying guests are left to scramble for parking with no clear solution provided. The only redeeming aspects were the pool and the upper deck view, but they weren’t enough to justify the high cost or make up for the poor experience. I would not stay here again or recommend it to others.

Staff was great!

Out dated. Don’t clean rooms daily or swap out used towels. Found staff to be going through the motions. Funky smell

Do NOT let the photos mislead you... This place is a dump, and you should avoid it. It reeked of smoke in the hallways, very little ventilation, and the rooms were dark and musty. I found a cheaper room at the Swissotel the same day and immediately checked out. I only took one photo and then left. Of course, they still charged me for one night, but there was no way I could stay there.

I didn’t enjoy my stay at all. Building was being worked on so there was a lot of noises starting at 8am. The water pipe line had burst in the wall next to my room so they made a lot of noise fixing it as well. The bed literally was on the ground. Burning plastic smell in the hallways. My ac unit sounded like it was going to blow up. Very unsatisfied

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The front desk staff are friendly and very helpful. The location of the hotel is walking distance to restaurants, the Big Bus and the Chicago River.

It was great experience there.

The hotel is very conveniently located. But the noise of the air conditioning and outside (the road) are not good.

Overall the stay was fine but kinda frustrating at first. When we arrived, they were going under renovation so their workers were taking beds and side tables up the elevators, which there was only one elevator to get to everyone’s room and it was hot. The lack of amenities kinda was disappointing, no fridge or microwave which was noted when reserved and could be requested but not automatically in the rooms. Was not expecting only 1 elevator to get to our room and having to go back into the main entrance to get onto the skydeck to see the view was inconvenient and elevators stopping at every floor before coming down, we ended up having to climb the stairs if we wanted to go up or wait forever for the elevator. Although I wasn’t planning on staying a lot in the hotel room, there wasn’t a lot of channels to pick from so we only used the bed, shower and bathroom the whole stay. Overall, I would give this hotel 6 out of 10. The best part of the whole stay was the Skydeck

The whole bilding has an odor. You didnt smell it as much in the rooms but you could still smell it. All through the hallways was horrible. There was mold starting in the bathroom above the tub behind and uptop of the bathroom door and in the tile grout where you hang your towel. Beds and pillows was not comfortable.

It was old and funky. The neighborhood had lots of sketchy night life and the security door to my tower didn’t lock well.

Okay

Nothing much to say. Easy parking. Convenient.

This is an older hotel but the price acknowledges that. It’s not upscale, but it’s nice and every staffer we came in contact with was friendly and courteous. Having a decent restaurant in house was really handy. Lots of places to eat all around but crowds/lines and lots of $$. We enjoyed the food right here then went on adventures!
