Reviews
The hotel has a great location and is generally clean, but it is often noisy due to the bar/club below and thin walls. The self check-in process and lack of front desk staff can be inconvenient for some guests.

The room was way smaller than expected and the set up of the room was awkward. To walk between the bed and bathroom, my partner and I had to let the other person pass. That’s how small it was. It got stuffy fast, but the AC did work okay. TV was to the side of a wall from the bed at an odd angle to be able to watch TV. Water did get hot and stayed hot but took awhile to get hot and you have to get wet to be able to turn it on due to the angle and size of the shower. Shower door wouldn’t close all the way so it stayed open. Called a few times and staff wouldn’t answer because it would only be one receptionist working at a time. Positives are the location, which is what we mainly got it for, and a cute bar attached to it open til midnight. They are also under construction right now so lobby is being worked on currently, but accessible. Overall my experience was okay, but I probably wouldn’t stay there again.

Make sure not to stay in front facing room, very noisy and bright.

Upon checking into the hotel, we learned that remodeling was taking place. My issue with this was the remodeling started at 7 am. As a guest on vacation, it was really disappointing to have paid a very large amount of money to stay at this hotel and have been woken up at 7 am. The remodeling was not disclosed at the time of booking or I would have chosen somewhere else to stay. I spoke with several other visitors staying at the hotel and some had moved rooms to try and avoid being woken up too early (which did not work out for them since remodeling was throughout the entire hotel) and others were trying to get a refund and find somewhere else to stay. The staff was nice. Most of the construction workers performing the remodeling were not. In my personal opinion, the hotel had no business charging what they did for a stay when it was LOUD early in the morning and ruined people wanting to sleep in on vacation. Partial refunds should be provided due to the inconvenience this caused.

Won't be staying here ever again. If the price was much lower than what we paid then it would have been fine, but there were noises ALL NIGHT LONG. Sounded like someone was shaking a pipe inside the wall. At $500/night it was absolutely ridiculous, talk about getting raked over the coals.
- 3/5
The hotel has great location and basic rooms but clean. Our main points of consideration for this hotel was its location and communal kitchen. Unfortunately, the hotel had maintenance work under way and the kitchen was closed. The construction work started early in the morning with drilling and hammering and staff talking loudly. It was quite disturbing. We ended up spending most time outside our hotel and had to make alternate plans for food since there was no access to the communal kitchen. I wish the hotel and Expedia were forth coming and transparent in their maintenance work prior to booking. The room charges did not justify the reduced amenities and constant maintenance noise.

Great location for getting around. There were multiple bus stops close and the L was nearby. There a Target and a McDonald’s within the block. Some evenings there was loud music from the attached restaurant/lounge.

The room was clean and security was good. There was no room refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, or ice container. The price and location made it a value.

They are renovating so there were a lot of construction materials and workers around. That’s temporary though and I appreciate their efforts. It was a good location for the price. The bathroom was just renovated and very nice. It is relatively small, so if there are two people it will be tight. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. I felt safe in my room and it was pretty quiet. Overall, a solid experience.

Very small room #220. No room to unpack your bags. Beat up furniture. Not even a chair to sit on, unless you count the toilet. No electricity in bath area for the hair dryer. View of mold out the window. This qualifies as only a flop house. Never again!

Place was clean, room was a little small but I know they are renovating .

My sister was admitted to the hospital for a week and once she was discharged we found the closest hotel to the hospital to stay at which was Hotel Chicago. Not only were there ants in all three of our rooms, but we had managers and housekeepers coming into our rooms unannounced well before check out time on multiple occasions. No type of accountability or remorse was shown by Abraham (Manager) and he even went as far as telling us to just go stay somewhere else if we were really so upset and told us it would be “best anyways [to go somewhere else] if your sister really was just discharged”. The housekeeper assigned to our room, had to be asked if she cleaned the room, which she confirmed. When we checked the bed, all she did was rotate the sheet, as there was still a spill stain , just in a different position. She also left the master key to all of the rooms on our nightstand, which we returned to the front desk. One of the other male staff members who supposedly lives on site, has a dog in his room. Which causes the whole first floor to smell. Tried to explain our situation to the staff and they could actually care less. Apparently everyone who works here is incompetent and lacks empathy and decorum. Considering the amount we paid for this janky hotel, we’re throughly irritated and wouldn’t wish this type of treatment on anyone.

Lovely Hotel. Good size room although it would be good to have a shelf or space for toiletries in the bathroom. Staff were very friendly. A renovation was going on so it was a little noisy. I didn’t stay long enough to get a feel for amenities and attractions in the neighbourhood but it was a nice walk to the river and cafe’s. I would stay again.

Friendly and helpful staff. The check-in process was smooth and the staff tried to assist us when we had an issue with the room. When we checked in, the air conditioning in our room was not working properly. The staff mentioned that they would provide a discount or compensation for the inconvenience, but we have not received it yet.” Write a short sentence to sum up your stay. “Overall, the stay was okay, but the unresolved air conditioning issue was disappointing.

The room was subpar, looks nothing like the photos. TV did not work at all. No maintenance on sight to fix it. Bathroom shower was disgusting. Dirt marks all over the tub.

Room was immaculately clean. Stayed overnight with a friend after a concert and this place was perfect!. The only thing that I didn't like was having to memorize a code to get into my room and also having to show my ID to an AI program to check in. Those were a pain in the pants.

I liked the communal kitchen. Convenient for breakfast each morning. Low-cost groceries were available nearby at Target or Aldi. My room was on fourth floor which meant less noise (noisy bar at ground level) and which meant better natural light. Bed was comfortable. Wifi seemed ok. The bedroom was small (maybe 125 sq ft) with bedside tables/lamps but no closet, dresser, desk or chair (used window ledge as a surface for my belongings). Cost seemed high but my reservation at another hotel (using a different booking platform) was canceled at the last minute & this was the best option I found for the first night on short notice. In retrospect, I could have saved a lot by moving to a different hotel after that first night. Minor: Location was ok but not as central (in this neighborhood) as most other hotels. No phone in room (could not ask questions without going to front desk).

i really liked the location of this hotel, we paid almost $300 for a room. we are an older couple and expect some value for the money that we pay for accommodations. we had several issues with the lodging-we had a random loud scraping noise that persisted ALL night long, so no one slept. The noise sounded like it was coming from inside the walls, not from an outside source. No phone in the room to call the front desk, and the phone company was telling me that the number of the hotel listed on their website was disconnected. we weren't given the wifi password, the tv did not function at all, the shower floor was dangerously slippery, and they provided extremely cheap tp. I really wanted to like this hotel, the lobby was nice, great location, plenty of hot water in the shower, but these were not enough to justify the high rate that we paid. Stay at this place if you can get it for under $110, otherwise pass.
- 4/5
Staff was amazing; I liked the passcode versus a key - for what you get in the room and amenities... I thought it could be a better deal versus what I paid...

When I got there night shift lady gives me a room there was someone else in the she give me. Day shift lady had to correct but the was not clean like it supposed to clean. It's had water bottle in the room so my overall experience on this hotel I give it a 3 star and the parking is really bad but ever where in Chicago parking is horrible.

Staff was very nice place was clean. It’s a little small.

Great location and very nice staff The AC wasn’t working but they gave us a fan and it wasn’t too terrible as the weather wasn’t very hot and our window could be opened

- 4/5
That being said the staff were all great and super helpful. The location is great and super walkable. If you are looking for a simple room where all you really need is a shower and bed at a very reasonable price, highly recommend staying here.
- 2/5
I was in room 309. AC was broken and when I mentioned that to the staff, they gave me a fan as a replacement. The bunk bed bottom is broken. Toilet seat has a crack. Shower door won't close properly. The property itself is nice and the concept of FOUND hotel is great and I strongly suggest the staff to take care of the property.
- 3/5
For the price, the place was wonderful. There was some noise at night, not from people, but more like a mechanical or utility sound. Otherwise, it was great!
- 4/5
Great location in River North; minimalist, but comfortable rooms with bunk bed layout; nice lounge and laundry facilities in the basement; guest kitchen had coffee/tea service; check in was smooth. The basement area needs a sign showing where the laundry/restrooms are.
- 4/5
Great location and it was very clean Nightstands were worn and beat up
- 3/5
I stayed in one of the queen rooms, which was very clean but small, with a queen size bed, and two small nightstands. There was a metal rack to hang clothes. Perhaps because of the unusual room configurations in converting a historic building, the bath area in my room was spacious compared to the room size. The air conditioning in my room did not work, and there were no other rooms available. The windows open a crack, and they provided a fan to circulate the air. However, my room remained at an uncomfortable temperature of 77°. To their credit, they offered a discount on my room rate because of the inoperable air conditioning. Although not rude, I wouldn’t describe my check-in experience as particularly welcoming, and offered a little information about the property. The two members of the housekeeping staff that I encountered were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I would describe the property as a poor value for the price paid. It’s overpriced by about 20–25%. For an additional $20-$25 a night, you can stay at some modest nearby properties which offer larger rooms, a desk and chair, and more storage space. And the nearby properties use key cards, so you don’t have to fumble with your cell phone, looking up a six digit front door code, and then fumbling at your room door using a different six digit code.
- 4/5
It was very comfortable and quiet the air conditioning was good. The place smell really good.
- 5/5
The staff during our stay was extremely helpful! The property was in a great location with nearby restaurants and transportation lines.
- 0.5/5
I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. My reservation was from April 11 to April 13, but when I arrived, the air conditioning in my room was not working at all. I reported the issue immediately at the front desk and requested a full refund, since staying in those conditions was not acceptable. As a result, I had to book another hotel in Chicago and move out on the same day. The staff informed me that I would just need to request the refund through Booking.com on Tuesday, which I did. However, it has now been several days and I have received no response or resolution from either the hotel or support. Overall, the lack of basic room conditions and the complete absence of follow-up or customer service made this a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend staying here Room was EXTREME desapoiting. Way diferent paiting from the pictures. Air conditionar was not working. I had to move out for another hotel, they promissed a full refund and now they don't even respond me anymore.

The location is very convenient in terms of restaurants, shops, and transportation. We were able to walk or take the CTA anywhere we wanted to go, including the airport. When my husband and I travel, hotel location is a top priority, as is value, and we enthusiastically agree that this hotel has both. Also, the hotel uses a texting system for updates about check-in and check-out, so you rarely need to interact with the front desk, and if needed, you can write with a question at any time. Definitely recommend!

- 4.5/5
The location is great, and it is a good option for work trips for solo travelers. I made myself coffee every morning in the shared kitchen, which brought me back to my youthful traveling days. This is not directly about the hotel, but if you have a car, the nearby, recommended lot for overnight parking is US$30 per night (in 2026) and there is limited space. I stayed 4 nights, so the parking situation was not the best. But that is downtown Chicago for you!
- 3/5
Room was mostly clean. The bedding was mismatched polyester and cotton which wasn’t the most comfortable. Our room was loud at night and on night 2 someone next to us smoked cigarettes, leaving the room smelly all night. Unfortunately didn’t sleep well but it was a bed for the night. I liked the kitchen area and the lobby was nice. Staff was friendly, just unfortunately had bad neighbors and bedding.
- 2/5
Staff couldn’t be bothered. The property is GROSSLY over priced
- 4/5
The location is super convenient! Our room was very clean. Small, but clean. Great option for a quick trip in Chicago. Only complaint is that the walls are a bit thin and could hear a lot of guests in other rooms. Other than that, we had a great stay.

Great location great staff great hotel!

The room had no heat and then when I brought it to the clerks attention the response was “ oh that room yea it doesn’t work” and then proceeded to hand me a space heater no room change no refund conversation just a Walgreens space heater on my wife’s birthday was crazy so we just calmly packed our things and drove back to Michigan
- 5/5
Clean room, lovely staff, would come again.
- 3/5
However, there were several downsides. Parking was nearby, but getting there was very frustrating. What should have been a short 0.2-mile drive took about 20 minutes due to heavy traffic in the area. It was also difficult to find a spot to briefly park and unload luggage. Access to the building could also be inconvenient. The door code system was inconsistent and sometimes required entering the code multiple times before it worked. The biggest issue was the noise. There is a bar on the ground floor with loud music, and the surrounding area is quite busy. Throughout the night, there was constant noise from people outside, traffic, and even garbage trucks. I woke up multiple times because of it. Overall, while the staff and cleanliness were great, the noise and parking challenges made the stay less comfortable than expected.
- 4/5
The heater in the room was not working.
- 3/5
3/5 stars, mainly because the air conditioning did not work in our room, but staff did provide a fan. The seal on the shower was broken and led to the floor getting very wet, but not a huge concern. Some dust and crumbs left on surfaces, but nothing of major concern. Overall a pleasant stay, just wish the AC would've worked.
- 4.5/5
Location to anything you need was perfect. We checked in late so needed to use a keycode. Did not receive before checkout but quickly got a response when calling. Rooms were very quiet as you could hear nothing outside of it. The only complaint of the room was the sturdiness of the bed. While "having fun" it constantly seemed like the bed was going to collapse on us. The shower was also missing its bottle of body wash. However none of this diminished from the overall quality.

I was given a room with single bunk beds which I did not select. The room was micro sized w/o a desk & chair. Bathroom was normal sized and the best feature of room. A low price and 1 night stay mitigated most shortcommings.

Room wasn’t ready which is fine but, the staff didn’t seem to know who was supposed to do what. Also room that was giving still had maintenance working on the arc which was not fixed. Room was hot and the system didn’t work till morning of check out.
- 2/5
Arriving at the hotel to check in and was told the room was ready. Went upstairs to third floor and saw our room door was open and in a mess. Went back downstairs to ask for a different room and the lady at the desk was unhelpful yelling what room at us. Finally got a new room and they told us the WiFi was down that someone had cut the wires. Later that night noticed the Air Conditioner did not work. Cleaning crew was banging on doors early in the morning as well.
- 4/5
The only downside was that the air conditioner didn’t work during my stay, which made the room a bit uncomfortable at times. Aside from that issue, everything else was wonderful. I would definitely consider staying here again!

Great stay overall! The service was excellent, the bar was a nice place to relax and chat, and the towel service was convenient. Free ice downstairs was a plus, and the kitchen was usually empty and easy to use. The room was small but cozy, and the price was great for the value.

The number one thing I would be aware of, is to make sure you know where the parking garages are. There are a few within an easy walk to found. The second thing, if you come in during the evening, you're going to have to get the attention of the person at the desk to let you in because you won't have a room code by that time. The third thing, there's plenty of stores and food within walking distance. This was actually my second time to a microtel, and it was very adorable. I had the bunk beds with a friend, it was just enough room to stay and do what we needed to do which is exactly what we needed. If you happen to be staying more days bring a pan or something to cook but clean up after yourself. It's a nice place and I would totally visit again.

Well Not a ideal for a people who wants a nice room but definitely for someone to crash in when they dont find any room. But based on the price this place is dope. With excellent customer service and little kitchen. Its good just the room was kinda not suitable to have a good sleep but thats fine cheapest and maybe the nice one in downtown since I stayed during weekdays.
- 5/5
Staff very friendly. This hotel is perfect for a quick stay if you’re traveling, the rooms are small but clean and more than enough. If your intention i

newly renovated place - uses a code system to access front doors and rooms, so make sure you know your codes. staff was very flexible and helpful with my storing bags over the weekend between two separate stays. price is right and location is right in the middle of everything you could want or need. short walk to lake and museums, etc.

Photos were deceiving and the room was much smaller in reality (bunk beds), but the beds were very comfortable! Overall the place was clean and the staff were great. The shared kitchen was nice.
- 5/5
Comfy room. The kitchen is nice to have. Amazingly convenient location.
- 5/5
Cozy, sparse, clean, functional. Beds are comfortable if you like medium to firm. AC unit can be loud when it runs, but helps drown out city noise. Else ear plugs suggested.
- 1/5
I was not satisfied with your hotel at all, your room was not clean, the interior of the room was like ice and the sheets were wet, I was really not satisfied at all, I had to leave the hotel in the middle of the night, I was so cold that it was really irresponsible in a hotel Your air conditioner wasn't working so it wasn't heating and it was really like ice inside the room it wasn't clean at all
- 5/5
Great customer experience. Please keep it up

Clean hotel, nice staff

Well, there was no hot water on the shower

Good place, good location, friendly staff and a great bar!
- 5/5
I was surprised that the front desk IS staffed 24/7. I used this hotel to attend a concert nearby - even coming back at 3:30 am, I felt safe. The room was exactly what we needed for 1 night. If you're staying longer, the communal kitchen would be useful. There is also complementary coffee, teas, and filtered water available, and a nice lobby and work cubicle (rooms, actually) nearby. An adjoining bar is nice & cozy & tasteful (they also serve food, I heard). Overall, a great experience if you need accommodation in this part of Chicago. Loads of restaurants w/in easy walking distance, too. GO!
- 5/5
this hotel was in a great area, pretty close to all the tourist attractions. everything was very nice and clean. rooms are a little small which is perfect for small groups. friendly staff.
- 5/5
The staff was great. The heaters were not working on our floor but they provided oil type radiator heaters. I would stay at Found again
- 2/5
First room I had was right above an open nightclub ..so damn loud you would of thought my bed was next to the bar and on top of that my t.V did no work... They put me in a new room, but the room they put me in, had no working heat, and I was in Chicago in the winter.
- 5/5
In spirit of whatever has been going on the staffs trying to assure safety of each guess including Wynel
- 5/5
All around a great place to stay, it's small but it's perfect if all you are doing is simply needing a bed to sleep in for the night. So clean, everything was clean and neat looking. Only negative thing I can say is there was no heating or air conditioning in my room, the thermostat on the wall wasn't working so neither was the actual unit. Staff had placed a small space heater in the room prior to our arrival and it was so hot in our room, I unplugged the heater and never had to plug it back in my entire stay. I would however consider staying here again. I recommend

My original room the heating didn't work, the bathroom was freezing, the sheets were dirty... I could go on. This is very basic, but fine.
- 4/5
not the four seasons but has all the amenities you need
- 5/5
My room was small, but it had everything I needed and it was VERY clean. The water pressure was great, as were the common areas, and the overall stay was a 10/10.
- 5/5
Service was great. Room was clean and cheap. The value for this place is unbelievable that I couldn’t help but wonder why this place is so cheap. Also, it’s a very convenient area and I felt pretty safe walking around. Wonderful experience!
- 3/5
Out side noise is very high

- 5/5
The staff were amazing. They were helpful, polite and kind. The whole hotel looked amazing and had everything you would need. Everything was clean and tidy. The location is great. Close to many things so it’s easy to walk around. Would definitely recommend
- 5/5
I was glad to know that the found hotel was concerned about my stay and accommodating too my checking into my room
- 4/5
I stayed 2 nights in room 306. Smaller room, clean and there's plenty to do within walking distance. Don't forget to do all the check-ins online for a smoother experience. I would stay again if in town.
- 5/5
Nice staff, great location!
- 5/5
Clean room! Chic design, located next door to a Dave's Hot Chicken. Cool neighborhood short walk to Museums/Art. Nice C.O. Bigelow hand wash, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Seemless check in (just make sure to upload your ID and photo).
- 5/5
Got checked in at my arrivals (5 hours earlier than the normal check in time of 3pm). Helpful staff and smooth check in process
- 5/5
love this place definitely coming back !
- 4/5
Nice room, couldn't adjust the AC. Need to check in with the weird web tool. Overall positive.
- 5/5
This was a very unique hotel experience, with an amazing full kitchen on the Lobby level. Make sure to pay attention to your check-in text, as you get a code for access to the main building!
- 4/5
The place was nice & clean with friendly staff. Access to the kitchen was very nice! The only thing that wasn’t great was that my shower stall was grubby.
- 5/5
We loved our stay at the Found Hotel. Room was clean, bed and pillows very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, there was a place for our luggage after checking out so we could still roam the city without the hassle of our bags. Thank you for a perfect stay.

Clean room
- 5/5
Awesome!!!
- 5/5
The ladies in the front were super sweet and helpful! I had to book last minute due to the unfortunate circumstances with Sonder and Marriott and they made everything so much better. Felt safe and helpful. Totally recommend
- 5/5
Room was great, staff were chill.
- 5/5
Clean room, helpfu staff
- 5/5
Friendly staff!
- 5/5
Attended a concert and decided to stay in chicago due to snow storm, hotel was very accomodating and clean. Rooms were simple with just a bed and shower and TV. Didnt need much else, however there is a full kitchen in the lobby do buy/store/cook groceries and also had complimentary coffee and tea. Although we found a last minute hotel, we were very pleased and would stay here again many times!
- 5/5
The room was very nice and spacious and the bathrooms were also large and clean. The staff was extremely accommodating. I will be staying there again if we travel through Chicago again.
- 5/5
very clean and modern, staff was very friendly
- 4/5
Very clean, perfect for a quick overnight no fuss place in downtown
- 5/5
Great location, small rooms but that’s the deal…great service…
- 4/5
Nice staff, clean room but a little noisy
- 5/5
Super clean, super quiet, great lobby and location, and helpful staff there for most of the day making it feel like a HOTEL This place is head and shoulders above Sonder - SONDER SUCKS. This FOUND experience unlike Sonder was EASY - check-in, getting access, all without the deep identity violations of Sonder. Found was originally owned by Sonder (have I mentioned Sonder sucks?), now transitioning to management by Marriott. You could eat off the shower floor, bed was comfortable, sheets were nice. Immaculate community kitchen and modern lobby.
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay at this small hotel. The staff was great. The room in public spaces were spotless. And the location can’t be beat for the price. I would highly recommend this property to all my friends or anyone who may ask.
- 4/5
Nice price point for what you’re getting. It would have been nice to have moved rooms or had a discount due to the A/C not working and the fan making little difference. Otherwise a wonderful experience for my first time in the city.
- 5/5
The room was beautiful and immaculate clean. I want to book again definitely.
- 5/5
Absolutely loved staying here! Close to everything I’ll be back!
- 5/5
It’s basic and small but it’s all I needed: clean room, large bathroom, comfortable bed.
- 5/5
Great place to stay and quick uber to United Center. Will stay again.
- 4/5
The roon was clean except under the bed. There was plenty of trash left behind and that area had not been swept in a while. The staff was always curteous.
- 5/5
Staff was very nice and room was cozy and comfortable
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was really friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
I left the tag on my door twice within my stay to get my room cleaned and it was never cleaned.. Besides that I guess it was a decent place to stay

Very friendly and attentive staff. Good location. Stayed in the room with the bunk beds — it was decent, but rather small with poor ventilation. Overall nice experience.

Perfect location and hotel to stay in for a quick getaway weekend. He has everything and then some for all of your pleasure and needs. Exceptionally friendly staff. The rooms are small but all you do is shower there and sleep. Bathroom and shower were big for the size of the room and the bed was very comfortable. I have not one complaint!
- 2/5
The room definitely look bigger online than they really are. I really disliked the fact that there wasn’t a mini fridge in the room. The hotel felt like someone converted old apartments into a hotel. Wouldn’t recommend my friends to stay here. Gave me a weird vibe.
- 4/5
Wonderfully clean room! My only difficulty was with checking out when there was no one at the desk. I tried texting and had to leave before anyone appeared or answered my text — this was at 7am, so not too early, I wouldn’t think
- 5/5
Staff was kind and helpful, check in/out was easy and quick, room was clean.

I never stayed in the hotel, but I canceled my booking due to changed schedule but still they charged my card without me showing up in the premises.

Great cost benefit hotel

Friendly service, easy check in, the room was spacious, bright and clean. Very close to train access and walkable to city sites. Plenty of local bars in walking distance. I will definitely stay here again.

No AC for the first night, and no room for relocating. Very small room with a 2’ round table and a chair, no access card to room. No concierge during night and lock entrance door at night ( opening through a code). I can call it 1 or may 2 star motel not hotel.
- 5/5
Loved this place if you want something affordable and nice!
- 5/5
Our room was clean. The shared kitchen space was well stocked and clean. Though the room was on the smaller side, it was sufficient as we spent most of our days exploring Chicago. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful little boutique hotel within walking distance of many things.
- 5/5
Lots near by, great stay.
- 2/5
Woke up at 8am to drilling. No warning or anything from the staff. The A/C unit was broken in several of the rooms. Also take out a $150 security deposit for a room that is extremely minimalistic. Won’t be coming back.
- 5/5
There was a loud buzzing noise coming from the vent the whole stay. Without the bathroom door closed easily loud.
- 1/5
Property is situated in nice area. However, my room did not have AC. And in general it was very stuffy. Very uncomfortable
- 5/5
Economical, clean, pleasant helpful staff.
- 5/5
This hotel was great! There were a lot of mixed reviews, so I was nervous. The staff were very helpful and the room was clean and spacious. This was also a great central location. Would definitely recommend!
- 5/5
The property was immaculate. Everything was clean and quiet.
- 4/5
the hotel staff was friendly and accommodating but the area was extremly noisey, they didnt lock the door to the lobby after 6pm like they promised but otherwise great people. The bathroom was poorly engineered but not awful.
- 4/5
I had to book a bunk bed room because it was the only type available. Everything was nice, pleasant, and clean for no frills hotel experience. My only complaint is that the bunk bed rooms need a chair. There was no place to be in the room except standing or lying down even though a simple chair would fit next to the bed. The outlets are also very inaccessible and plugs fall out of them.
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff were very accommodating. I came an hour before my check-in time, and my room was ready. I was immediately checked in. Staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The room is a bit small, but I just needed a clean, quiet place to lay my head. I also didn't like that there weren't many outlets in my room. I should've brought my own extension cord. The hotel is situated in a bustling neighborhood, with numerous restaurants, bars, and lounges nearby. There's a bar next door to the hotel that serves excellent cocktails and food. The hotel is very secure. You must enter a code to gain entrance to the building. I also like the shared kitchen space and the beautiful lobby area, which features co-working booths for meetings. I highly recommend.
- 1/5
My problem with this hotel is the check in procedure. Normally you give your ID at the front desk. This place refuses to accept that and requires a phone to check in. Okay, fine, but you have to use your phone to take a picture a govt issued ID and then upload it to some random webpage. That doesn't work. Then they force you to text it to a random number?!? The level of incompetence here is stunning. They had someone at the front desk and refused to look at my ID even though I repeatedly told them I was uncomfortable texting it to a random number and did not feel like my information was protected properly. Please don't stay here if you believe customers should have any sort of privacy protections!
- 5/5
Very nice staff
- 5/5
This was a great choice for me. I was within walking distance of my office. Also within walking distance of Navy Pier
- 3/5
It was good but it had some things here and there. Elevator was more scary. Very convenient for transportation and visiting Chicago.
- 5/5
Felt like I was emerged in the city, staff was great!
- 5/5
Lovely hotel.
- 1/5
There was a noise when I was sleeping because of the pipes, I couldn’t sleep
- 5/5
A good hostel adjacent accommodation

Perfect for people who are here only to seep and rest. For that reason is worth it.
- 5/5
Everything was fine I just couldn’t stand the air conditioning noise it’s very loud and hard for me to sleep over it at first but no complaints on this stay the staff is nice and the person in the front desk was very helpful.
- 4/5
This was a minimalist property. Mostly clea
- 2/5
Room was somewhat dirty. Air conditioner was broke.
- 5/5
Great location. Friendly staff. Huge bonus for allowing early check in. No complaints on the room.
- 5/5
The property offers alternative to more expensive hotels. Beds comfortable and sheets soft and clean.
- 5/5
Everything was nearby. The property was well kept and clean.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel, very kind staff. I had a good time.
- 5/5
Clean, easy and affordable. Perfect for a one night stay.
- 5/5
All good
- 5/5
Very good, clean and good condition. Room a little small for 4 people with suitcases but made it work. Good facilities - kitchen and lounge area in basement.
- 5/5
Tamisha was a gem and her assistance made our check-in a breeze! Loved the unique vibe of this property! Bed super-comfy!
- 5/5
Brian at the front desk was the perfect help during my stay, he assisted with the many bags i came in with, helped my when my reservation wasn’t correct & provided the best hospitality for me. it made my stay so much more easeful, i can’t overstate my gratitude.
- 2/5
This is a great example of “you get what you pay for.” I spent a lot of time searching for a hotel in downtown Chicago that was walking distance to a lot of the tourist spots. Not surprisingly, many of them were $300+/night. We went with Found because the pictures looked nice, great location, and was the most reasonably priced. What we got was less than ideal. The clerk gave us our room number and a 6 digit code to open the door. It didn’t work so I had to go back down and ask for help. The manager met us at the room and he couldn’t open it either. After several minutes he was able to get it open but the code still wasn’t working. So we went to dinner and they fixed it while we were gone and gave us a new code. The room was spartan. Not even a chair to sit in. The TV only works if you subscribe to a streaming service and log into your account on their TV. We couldn’t find any free channels. No coffee machine in the room. the room was barely big enough for the bed, which was comfortable. There is no phone in the room to call the front desk. The bathroom was poorly designed. The shower stall was small and to turn on the hot water you have to open the door into the shower. So you turn on the shower while standing outside of it and wait a couple of minutes until the hot water arrives and then to get in the shower you open the door inwards and the shower is spraying on the outside part of the door until you get in and close it, but by now the floor outside the shower is wet.
- 4/5
The room was relatively small, but it was okay for one person on a quick business trip. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. The hotel provided a lot of communication (via text) before and after arrival. Very reasonable rates and felt safe. Had Roku TV, so I was able to log into the streaming service to watch a show at the end of the day. It took me a while to find parking, but I managed to find some nearby in an uncovered lot, within a block of the hotel. The only downfall was that the walls were thin, allowing me to hear the neighbors coughing and talking, as well as the folks upstairs thumping around. A big box fan was provided in the room, drowning out the noise. Overall good experience.
- 5/5
Great place
- 4/5
comfy bed. AC is noisy, & it would be helpful to have a cup in the bathroom.
- 5/5
Lovely place. Simple but not basic. Keypad entry to building and room worked great. There’s a nice, clean kitchen for coffee and for guests to cook at, should they want. Well done, overall.
- 5/5
Seriously such an amazing experience. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They held our luggage for us before our flight so we could go explore the city. We got back to the hotel and had time to kill before our flight but had already checked out of our hotel room, I went to the basement to use the public restroom to find an entire lounge area with couches, a tv, and a foosball table! We were able to get some work done before our flight and stay in the comfort of their lounge instead of the airport.
- 4/5
It was a very unique hotel experience. Everything that we needed was there and the bunk beds were convenient for me and my friend. Nice central location about 7 minutes from the Brown and Purple lines. Front desk workers were also very friendly and cheerful. My only slight complaint was how strong the air freshener was in the lobby, but that is more of a me problem than the hotel. I was out most of the day and only slept in the hotel at nice, but it was a nice experience overall!
- 5/5
Great experience clean environment
- 5/5
Love it, staff was very nice
- 2/5
the stay was interesting, its definitely a good location and a budget friendly option so if thats what you are prioritizing then its fine. but some issues: i got double charged for my stay, the floor of one of the rooms was constantly wet due to condensation from the ac (idk thats what they told me), there was no water provided, no room cleaning for the first few days of our stay until i asked,
- 3/5
It was very much what I paid for. I had to book last minute accommodation and found this hotel. I booked the bunk bed room, and for my short stay it served its purpose. I found the bathroom wasn't as clean as it could have been, I found hairs from other people and the floor hadn't been properly scrubbed in a minute, but the towels were clean and it was nothing egregious. Shower could use extra caulking. I hated the shower door. Extremely close to the toilet, and when you opened it, you either swung the door directly into the shower stream and got everything drenched, or you slammed it into the toilet itself. Also, no shelf in the bathroom, not even a hook for a washcloth. I understand they mounted the soap/shampoo/conditioner, but you need SOMETHING to hang your washcloth on. As for the room itself, my window was not properly sealed, and I could probably shove a folder in between it. Now, I did not tell the front desk, as I was literally only there for one full night, but I noticed that due to the rain outside, it let a lot of moisture in, and that ended up making me feel sick with the AC unit trying to combat it. As for the hallways, when the rain was going on, the entire hallway felt incredibly humid, as if there wasn't a way to regulate the humidity. I really did not appreciate that. The lobby area was fine, did not use the communal kitchen. I appreciate the security with the double doors. The area was absolutely fine, never felt unsafe.
- 5/5
Great location, simple room but very quiet and comfortable.
- 4/5
not bad
- 5/5
Only thing was that we wish room service hit our room while we were gone for the day however the overall experience was more than pleasant. We would definitely come back!
- 5/5
We appreciate the cleanliness and ability to be together. One room was too loud with the street noise of people gathering outside the building but the hotel was very nice and the staff was great
- 4/5
The concept is very nice.
- 2/5
Room cleanliness and amenities are at an all time low. The bed corners need to be vacuumed for extreme dust. We are allergic to dust. Ac needs to be cleaned, terrible loud sound when in use. Iron didn’t work. Blow dryer had an horrific smell when used. The best part was our bed being remade with the same stained sheets. Why enter our room to do that? Had to personally go to front desk and retrieve fresh bedding and towels. Bathroom towel for the floor had wet shoe prints. The other towels and rags were damp. The room was literally in use prior to our check in. Based on the hairs the person could have been a honey/dirty blonde. When changing the bed I realized the mattress covers weren’t changed hence more relic hairs on it. Amazing turn over. I blame the hotel for the allotted cleaning time these cleaners are given. The two draws in the room had the nerve to be broken. This place was used to shower and sleep sadly. Bed and pillows were like concrete. The saving grace was the dispensary across the street.
- 1/5
I wish I could give this place negative stars. I booked a premium queen room on Expedia and when I showed up, they said they only had a room with bunk beds (which did not work for me and my partner). The staff was not at all helpful and I spoke to another guest in the elevator who had to accept another room type other than the one they booked. Will never stay again
- 3/5
Small room and the code to open the door does like
- 5/5
great experience very likable staff
- 4/5
The staff was excellent. The lobby decor was beautiful. The room with the single bunkbeds was small, but the bathroom was good sized and lovely. A few more outlets in the room would have been helpful.
- 5/5
I had a great experience during my stay! The service was excellent overall, and the General Manager was especially kind and helpful. He truly went above and beyond to make sure I got to the airport on time, which I really appreciated. It’s rare to come across that level of care and dedication. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Cute, clean, and right downtown in River North! Would absolutely stay again!
- 4/5
Good for Money. Compact room. No electric coffee maker in room but there is a separate kitchen where all facilities including electric kittley, coffee maker , stove , freeze washing area, and oven etc were available. Water should carry yourself from here. Hotel entry before 6 AM and after 9 PM is self by using given password.
- 4/5
Stay was good. The hotel does not offer onsite parking. My vehicle was broken into and vandalized while parked in a nearby parking lot during my stay.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Great beds. Hot showers. Friendly staff. Good location.
- 4/5
Great area and friendly staff...also check in was extremely easy!
- 2/5
very unfriendly staff. the room felt not very clean and the bed was not made neatly
- 4/5
Service was so polite and accommodating, shout out to the bearded maintenance man that helped me with my room door and the woman who filled my tumbler cup with ice. If you're looking for a cheap room to get you into the center of the city within walking distance of all the fun attractions, this will do you and your wallet some good.
- 5/5
The rooms were small, but none the less the stay was great, location 10/10 and room service was good.
- 5/5
Really great place! The had check bag so it was great being able to leave our bags before our check in at 3. And they texted me my room was ready early as well! Cool place to stay and safe!
- 3/5
The keypad entry system for the building was a bit confusing and not the most user-friendly. Still, the unbeatable price for such a central location makes this hotel a solid choice for budget-conscious travelers.
- 5/5
Cool stay.
- 4/5
We had a couple of issues and Brian at the front desk took care of us very well! The location is perfect for wanting walkable to the restaurant night life scene but not in a hectic area! Good food nearby as well
- 5/5
Great hotel. Very reasonable.
- 4/5
The toiletries were one of my favorite! Thanks will stay again.
- 5/5
My teenage son and I had a wonderful stay at Found Chicago. Super kind and welcoming staff - shout out to Courtney and Brian. We loved the location and the clean, quiet room - super comfy bedding was much appreciated. The downstairs kitchen was awesome for storing yummy leftovers from Chicago’s incredible restaurants - also very well kept and clean. The modern design was also a bonus. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to Chicago!
- 4/5
Clean rooms. Codes for keys. Almost sterile rooms. No view. Some desk staff unfriendly-wanted to communicate completely thru emails and texts. No receptive to questions.
- 5/5
It’s similar to an upscale hostel. Not much on amenities, but perfect if you only use your room to sleep. Very convenient to restaurants.
- 5/5
It was family friendly and in great walking distance to so many awesome places!
- 4/5
Yes is clean
- 5/5
Brian (front desk team) made everything about our stay fantastic. He is friendly, professional, and attentive. The hotel is safe and spotless, highly recommend!
- 1/5
The room was way smaller than they advertised no refrigerator or microwave they took 150$ for a incidental fee and told me it would returned in the morning I tried calling both of the numbers and they were disconnected worse experience every a complete scam
- 5/5
Good experience
- 3/5
- 4/5
Staff was nice
- 3/5
Hotel room was very noisy. Between showers in other rooms , air conditioner humming and doors slamming
- 3/5
The rooms are very small which we are normally fine with but even placing a medium size suit case in the room was a problem. Need more storage areas in the room. Also adding safes to the room would be nice.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Extra Clean. Extra Quiet.....Excellent all around !!!! Bryan was Extra Great.... Da Bed & Pillows.. Cloud Status....my lil getaway... was Peaceful.. We will be back !!!!
- 4/5
Perfect for my weekly 1-night stays for work in Chicago. The room has no frills but if you just need a clean, small place to crash at a great price, this is for you. This is not a place you would want to work from your room or lounge around in. The bedroom is as big as the bathroom.
- 5/5
Very friendly. It’s small but nice for the price
- 4/5
Walkable distance to outdoor restaurant and convenience stores. Loud during the weekend since it is in Downtown which is understandable. A lot of ambulance and police and honking city noise but it’s the location not the property’s fault. If you stay just ask for a room not facing the Main Street. The staff are super helpful & friendly !
- 5/5
Convenient location, friendly helpful staff.
- 5/5
Good hotel
- 5/5
It was the perfect oasis for a 24 hour trip! The lobby was amazing. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly!
- 5/5
Simple (in a good way). Nice stay, staff was super and helpful
- 5/5
Would definitely stay again!
- 3/5
Overall a clean property but was disappointed that the bonfire was not ready/up to maintenance as well as when I asked about the home theather, I was told there wasn't one. We were looking forward to both things because we had chosen this hotel for those reasons and were sorely disappointed. The other problem was figuring out the tv/tv control, it was not easy, went down to ask how to select the option to stream from another device. Yet still wasn't able to use the tv. Regardless a good clean place.
- 5/5
You can hear neighbors pretty well but otherwise, good sleep/quiet and small and easy peasy to tidy back up.

The staff is excellent and I love the kitchen area!! I felt very safe here, and the beds were very comfortable. Walking distance to EVERYTHING! If you're staying here I recommend Bar Avec, a three minute walk with an AMAZING city view rooftop bar.

Great customer service. The rooms were nice. If you like shopping it was like a 12 min walk. Cuts cafes and restaurants near by. I would stay here again.

My six year old daughter and I stayed at FOUND for a quick Mothers Day weekend getaway. It was perfect. The bunk beds were super fun and comfortable too. The check in check out process by phone was much appreciated, especially when traveling with a little one, solo. Super convenient location. Would definitely return.

I “found” this hotel by chance when booking my ‘round the country Amtrak trip. It is in the River North area, and has very good restaurants nearby. The place is very cool, and staff are very nice. I would definitely stay again if in Chicago.

Good spot for a night out in River North with friends. Walking distance to all of the clubs and the bunk beds are great for everyone to have their own space.
