Our stay at The Moxy was great! It was advertised as quirky and fun, and it certainly was. What a delight! Staff was super friendly and helpful. The food at Zombie Taco was good. The hotel's location was perfect, walking distance everywhere and to public transportation for areas farther away. We highly recommend The Moxy when visiting Chicago.

The atmosphere The double charged me after pre paying prior and upon check in was charged more than I paid for the room. Extremely frustrating and disappointing considering the amount deducted was over 600 dollars and we could have used that for our trip.

Lied to me

Boy, was that a mistake. My booking was denied, because, get this...the front desk couldn't process my card for incidentals. I won't bore you with the details of my corporate credit card, other than to say I carry a zero balance on it. The merchant service was at fault here, not my card. No matter. Right? Wrong. My booking was denied, without notice. I was subsequently charged for parking, that I did not use. So. I didn't stay here, and didn't park here. I was nonetheless charged $211 for the stay, and a refund has been refused by both the property AND Hotels.com. I will not stay at another Moxy and will avoid Marriott altogether going forward. I and many other business travelers don't have time for this nonsense. AVOID this place. Management has its collective head where the sun doesn't shine.

"Party in the lobby" themed hotel. Since I was traveling on business, it wasn't what I was looking for.. I mean really does anyone want to play foosball in the lobby of a hotel? The rooms are small but well designed for one person on business travel - huge windows that look right out onto the busy streets below. Overall good value and perfect for my needs that night.

The lobby, games, music, games, and the staff were all amazing! Our room was not very clean. The shower curtain was gross and had mold on it, the carpet in the hall was very dirty and coming apart, there was stuff stuck on our floor and nobody had cleaned behind the bed between the support and the window. Seeing others trash is not a good thing. The elevator was also dirty all weekend.

My stay was amazing! The complimentary Moxy cocktail was a great starter to a beautiful evening. The DJ set the mood very well, overall I would recommend this hotel 1,000 times over!

The was very clean, the ambiance of the lobby was great, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the ease of checking in and out of the hotel.

The breakfast, the bar, the room was very nice. The staff was super helpful. A regular sized garbage can. The small half bucket sized garbage can is a bit small. Or have a large trash can available in the hallway somewhere.

The property is in a great location! I love the lobby/bar area! We enjoyed playing games and listening to the DJ! It was nice drinking coffee in the morning lounging in the comfort of all the couches and large windows! It’s great for a short stay but without a closet to hang things up it would be inconvenient for a longer stay!

Love this hotel chain. I’ve stayed in a Moxy in almost every city I’ve ever visited. This hotel lived up to everything I loved about the Moxy. This should be a five star review but the ac/heat for some reason was set to a motion sensor. It’s January and I keep waking up out of my sleep because the room would get ultra cold. Idk who thought of that but it’s ridiculous.

me and my friend had the best time at moxys! staff was super welcoming and our room was super nice. i loved how alive it is on friday and saturdays, the dj and vibes are great! not far from main downtown and not too close which we loved. honestly perfect for two people and i would recommend!

My first time staying at Moxy and I would definitely visit again. The stunning view from my 5th floor corner room was absolutely amazing and unforgettable. Everyone there were so pleasant to talk with. If there were more stars, I would give them.

The elevator situation was a nightmare — it was down for most of the stay, which meant long, frustrating waits just to get to your room. For what we paid, it should have been at least $200 less per night. Between the maintenance issues, the stale air, and the lackluster comfort, I left wishing we’d stayed anywhere else.

Had a great stay in Chicago and at the Moxie. Only issues were that parking is offsite and the room was small. Loved the location and amenities.

Great hotel, has games, live Dj’s on the weekends , bar and taco spot inside of it. I love the vibe!!

I will say though that if you're a light sleeper, or have problem with noise, request a room away from the street, as well as bring ear plugs, because for 6 hours I had to hear the same groups of cars and motorcycles driving around the neighborhood revving their engines until 4am. The staff was willing to comp my breakfast but I refused because despite the noise I still had a good time and I hope to stay there again

Great vibe and excellent location. Corner room had a fabulous view. Room a bit on the small side; for a longer stay it might be inconvenient as there is little to no room to unpack.

The view from the corner room/city view was amazing! Room 810 to be exact. The room was clean and cozy and within walking distance to many of the downtown sights.

The atmosphere was fun and inviting. Not your typical hotel stay. From the first point of contact to the check out, a very good experience.

Stay was really good. The facility has lots of amenities and various forms of entertainment. The lobby is the place to be at all times of the day, chill during the day and socially tailored towards singles and couples in the evenings. Great liquor selection and finger food for purchase. Unfortunately, the rooms are small and encourages one to spend more time out the room than in. However, rooms are comfy when it time to rest and relax. My family and I stay here every year during the winter holiday for 3/4 nights. Location is excellent as it is within walking distance from most downtown destinations. Definitely coming back next year.

Love this vibe! Lobby was decorated for holidays and so fun. The rooms are pretty small, but that’s Chicago. No dressers or closets in the rooms, so I’d you like to unpack this may not be for toy. For me tbe vibe of the lobby made it worth it.

Moxy is always a good time

The hotel has a great location, with many restaraunts and public transit lines (red/blue) all super close walking distance. The lobby is cool/hip and and fun with a lot of space to hang out and with games. For me personally, the room was small, the shower is kind of in the main room, the bathroom sink as well is in the main space. Additionally, the room I had was a double bed, and there was a bunk bed single bed across the top... This was super annoying, as you couldn't sit up easy had to watch your head, also there's only a nightstand on one side of the bed. I get it, the personality of this hotel is hip/urban, maybe somewhat european in style, but the price is along the lines of other upscale hotels and I don't think the rooms match. The hotel was super clean, staff were wonderful, the only thing for me, was the room configuration wasn't ideal to my personal tastes.

If you’re looking for a fun, creative, high energy place to stay the Moxy is the place for you! It’s a really fun vibe with friendly staff. Zombie Tacos is in there as well which is super convenient. The rooms are compact for sure, but this trip we had no intention of hanging out in them too long. It was a Friday night so there was a DJ in the lobby/bar, fun games to play and great drinks too! We would definitely stay again!

Parking is convenient, with spots near the hotel and more options a short walk away. The unique check-in happens at the bar, setting a fun tone for the rest of the stay. Though the rooms are small, they’re well-designed, maximizing space, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The views of the city were incredible, and I was impressed with how walkable the location is, close to restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. The on-site restaurant, Zombie Tacos, serves great food with plenty of options. At night, the hotel comes alive with a DJ and lively bar scene. What made my stay truly exceptional was the service. After a red-eye flight, Cristal accommodated my early check-in, and Heather was incredibly helpful. Katee, the hotel manager, was hands-on, working in the lobby, ensuring everything ran smoothly. I give the Moxy Chicago an 11 out of 10. Having stayed in top hotels in major cities, it easily ranks in my top five.

Rooms are ok and the bed is fairly comfortable. My only real complaint is that the air conditioning in my room was very noisy and made a rattling noise when it would turn off and kick back in. It woke me up numerous times a night.

We loved the quirkiness of the Moxie! Fussball table in the lobby, LP's that could be played on a turntable, a great little food spot and great bar. The room was interesting, I wish there were more places to store clothes, the bath mat gets soaked if you put it near the shower curtain (in the disabled room, which we just happened to have gotten), an ironing station on the hallway instead of the room, and our friends said their room was the size of a prison cell. Overall we had a great time, the location is perfect, within walking distance to most so the popular spots. We'd return here if we make it to Chicago again.

We love The Moxy! My wife and I will always choose a Moxy if a city has one. They have the best atmosphere and arw always accommodating. Love the bar and the food options.

VERY loud guests both night. Came in late and were UTTERLY RUDE with loud voices in hallway. NO consideration for fellow guests. Also same at 8:00 Am... TACO Bar is a gimmick that is over rated. Lobby had dirty napkins, glasses sitting too long before staff cleaned. Furniture in lobby dirty and worn.

Overall stay was great. Location is great and the taco shop on the first floor was tasty. Only downside is there’s no fridge in the rooms to keep drinks cold and we had no view in our room.
