Location was near the lake and Magnificent Mile. Breakfast was nice. It was easy and simple to be there. Parking was a pain as is all of downtown. ($48 for 24 hours).

Room was pretty clean but bit small for a family of 2 adults and a kid. but it was decent. Food option should be elaborated further. Not enough option for Vegetarians.

Parking was a nightmare with incorrect billing, having to pay twice and then get reimbursed. TV's didn't work in either room but maintenance was very good about fixing them. So a good basic room but multiple inconveniences.

Great customer service, clean, great location. The only issue was hearing people very clearly in room next door. They need to invest in thicker sound proof adjoining and hallway doors.

I heard the hotel recently underwent renovations, and it definitely showed – the place was very clean. The location was also convenient, making it easy to get around by bus. The room had a small refrigerator (no freezer compartment), and while there was no microwave in the room, I noticed there was one in the breakfast area where other guests were using it. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Hotel was in a great location downtown, blocks from grocery stores and restaurants. The staff was amazing and extremely helpful. The breakfast had a good selection, and the staff was on top of everything. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel staff and the location are great. The problem was that I booked the room for four people, but the largest room in the hotel only accommodates three. It has one queen bed and a single sofa bed. I had to request an inflatable mattress at the front desk in order to sleep.

The location is excellent. Walked to many things nearby such as restaurants and shopping. The staff were all very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be in a safe, clean area that is centrally located. I only lowered rating because sirens could be heard during the thunderstorm. I wish the walls were a little thicker as a sound barrier. Otherwise, great stay!

They do not even provide bottled water. The internet was also down during the days we stayed there, which is honestly a disaster in this day and age. Mobile signal coverage in that area is weak because of the tall buildings around it, so relying on cellular data is not really possible either. Overall, only the most basic amenities are provided.

Good helpful place where they don’t rip you off with additional charges on arrival unlike many other American hotels. They do block 20 dollars a day on card but this gets refunded if yiu don’t purchases additional goid etc. during stay. Spotless rooms with big tvs. Reall goid value…

Everything was good except that the room one floor above of our room was working on some construction. That was pretty noisy in morning but except that it was clean, kind service.

Every single staff member we encountered were extremely kind, polite and helpful. They never once treated us like we were an inconvenience to their day. They were all genuinely happy to be there and to assist. The lighting in our room could have been better and we could hear the people in the next room walking around in their high heels. Aside from that it was great. Within walking distance to the many shops and restaurants on Miracle Mile.

There were construction workers working right outside our window at 7am. Not a very comfortable stay and not a lot of rest was had due to how loud it was.

Room was not the cleanest and there was no warning about the loud construction that was going on and will be for the next couple of months. Also, key card machines on elevators were not working. Not sure if I’ll come back to this hotel because of this

The Fairfield was a great stay. The room was clean and nice. The breakfast was lovely with a large variety of choices. I especially liked that it was available from 6-10. Good for early birds and later risers. Helpful, friendly service and you could have your luggage held til later in the day. The location was also very good. Only about a block and a half off Michigan Avenue. Thanks for a great stay! A microwave would have been very nice, but not crucial. There was a small fridge.

I loved how my room was cornered off and I didn’t get any noise disturbances, and the tv had so many streaming options other than old cable so that was great as well! How I was almost charged twice the total price of my stay no matter how many times I tried to explain in a calm matter that I had already pre-payed my stay a week before it was time to actually check in.

The free breakfast delicious, and very fresh and very clean. the staff is really nice, but the building is going through a remodel and I was not informed by the third-party it was a miscommunication, between the hotel and the third-party but everything else was OK The heating system is outdated The property is going through a remodel, so maybe they’ll change it. For a better cozy room.

The hotel was nice for what we needed (family of 4). The bathroom didn't have a fan so it was very steamy and quiet. We like to run the fan for white noise while we sleep, so that was a bummer for us. Also, breakfast wasn't great. It's a super small space with limited options. There was one waffle maker and a long line for it. Both morning we grabbed fruit, bagels, and coffee then left. It was super crowded! Last little gripe is that the water fountains were off.

It was a great location to stay! My main complaint was the uncomfortable bed, which while it didn’t spoil my trip, it did add some unforeseen aches. Add comfortable beds and better pillows the place would be perfect !

Everything was great—location, room, and friendly staff. But we missed a t-shirt. My son's comfort shirt for sleeping was missing. I called the front desk but the housekeeping staff had already left for the day. I reported the next day but we left the hotel early in the morning housekeeping was not available yet.

The rooms are fine, if a bit dated. Lighting could be improved around the bathroom sink and in the main room. The breakfast was as I expected, nothing to be excited about, but at least kept me from being hungry for a little while.

The room seems recently refurbished and nice. The beds and pillows were amazing. Location great. Breakfast was mediocre, only went once and didn’t go back.

The Desk Staff was very helpful when we checked in and the breakfast buffet has many options.

Overall it was a good stay and the hotel is at a great location. Though expensive for the type of room. Our room did not have a good view as it was blocked by an old building. Maybe other rooms have better views.

Great location!!! Very walkable to Magnificent Mile shops, restaurants, Riverwalk, Navy Pier. Hotel is dated, furniture has obvious wear and tear. Chairs with in room and lobby with holes worn thru the fabric. Breakfast left much to be desired. If you're staying here for the free breakfast which was a big factor in me choosing this hotel...skip it. Doormen were very helpful, hospitable, and courteous. Other front desk staff...not so much. For the price paid per night, more updated/better options are available on this same street.

Great value in Streeterville. Better option than the HC.

The staff went beyond the call of duty to help me out. I had a computer connection issue. There was a guy a the desk who really help. Later, I bought a new laptop while there. Because of poor vision, I needed help setting it up. There was a young engineer on staff, Alex who stayed with me until we solved all the issues. I am truly grateful to have met such wonderful people!

Convenient located, with friendly staff, a clean room and clean common areas, overall, the hotel is a place to stay while in Chicago and I will recommend it to everyone I know. Breakfast was good, the staff very attentive to refill all less than half food. I missed in the end of the breakfast something sweet (pastries).Great.

This is a good hotel in a great location. Valet parking was easy but expensive. The other parking option is completely a joke--self parking with no in and out for the duration of your stay. Breakfast was Fairfield typical: waffles, egg sandwiches, oatmeal, yogurt, etc. The rooms are on the smaller side for a Fairfield, but that was to be expected. Very clean; great service.

Mid: No much public transportation for when I didn’t want to take car and breakfast. Negative: cold water went out in first night room 404 (front desk was prompt to move us so that was a +) the first night and neighbors in connected room were loud. The 2nd night/room was 1503. OMG…at 10:45 PM there was the loudest speaker noise or talking or something. I had to turn on the AC to drown out the sound. Very odd. It was like something out of a movie used to keep people from sleeping. The valet was expensive $55 for in/out. I would not stay here again but would still recommend.

My stay was pleasant. The inly problem I had was that the AC unit in my room was a little loud.

My room was spacious but the floor was dirty, smelled a bit like body odor when I first arrived, and the fitness center was roasting hot. The property has seen better days but is a convenient option near Mag Mile.

Also breakfast was very good! We will book there again and recommend it to family & friends!

Only complaint is that I thought the parking was included, otherwise it was a good trip.

We were able to walk to almost everywhere we anted to go. Beds were really comfortable!

It is in a great location. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful for us to find ways around. The only thing is our room's air condition works with a loud sound, especially the fan. Also our room is next to the ice machine. If we go again, we will ask a more quite room there. Overall we think it is great hotel to stay.

Overall the suite was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The only minor issues were that the shower rod to hold the sprayer in place was missing and lighting was very dim so watching a small tv in either room in the suite was difficult.

Staff were wonderful and made this a great visit. Thomas was gracious and helpful, as was Jasmine and all the staff serving breakfast. Location is great, with easy access to all the cool things downtown Chicago. It is right by a hospital, though. The hotel needs some updates but it’s overall pretty nice! Pillows were too soft for my taste. My biggest complaint was having disposable dishes for breakfast. I liked that they were compostable, alas, there was no compost bucket! You can do better, Marriott!

The staff were very nice and approachable. The bed itself was nice but the sofa was not comfortable at all. The room smelled like cigarette smoke even though it was a no smoking room. The temp was either cold or so stuffy that you couldn’t breath once it got warm.

It wasn't a very pleasant atmosphere. We were misinformed about parking. We never left with our car and was still charged $55. We couldve parked our own car for $42. Also, in the morning for checkout, our keys to a guy. Noone was in the lobby at first and, then others showed up after. For some reason we got our car 30 mins later after everyone else. The valet guy handed me the keys so rudely. It didnt feel warm and friendly. Celebrating for New Years Eve

Overall a great stay. They offer a free breakfast which was phenomenal. Beds were comfy. And the room was spacious. The only thing i can say that they could do better is install more garbage cans. Stayed last night and couldnt find 1 can on the 8th floor. But overall a great experience!!

It was a cute little suite with a kingsize bed. Looks like they had a flood recently and I could see the damaged wallpaper and spaces in the hardwood floor. Hotel has no parking ( big problem in this city) and we had to pay 50$ 200 meters away… my opinion 8.5 out of 10 for the property

We love how clean the room was. Most of the times that’s what we don’t like about staying at a hotel. There were small appliances we did not use, so I can’t say anything good or bad about them, it you have an iron, ironing board, small fridge, coffeemaker. They seemed sanitized to me.

I like Marriott hotels. This one in particular had hardwood floors love that. I think hotel carpet floors are gross. It was clean and service was great. I’d stay again.

We had a great stay. We used the valet parking that was available and had an overall good experience. The room and facility was clean and nice. The staff was friendly. There was an amazing selection of restaurants to choose from within walking distance.
