Loews Chicago Hotel

This is the fourth time we have stayed at this location and will be our go-to when we travel to Chicago. The location downtown is very convenient to access all main tourist attractions, walking short distances around downtown, as well as getting out of the city to the nearby neighborhoods. All of the staff has always been very helpful and gracious. The restaurants are both great choices for any time of day dining, including in-room services. Getting delivery orders is easy as well. This visit our large group opted to spend an evening in the lobby lounge. We traveled for business as a party of 12. The bartenders and serving staff was attentive and we were comfortable watching the Stanley Cup finals on the large screen, had dinner and cocktails for many hours that evening, until the late hours. I enjoy the coffee shop in the mornings and grab-and-go options for breakfast and snacks on days we are off the property. Valet parking services adds to the conveniences available and the best option over finding parking in the city. Our vehicle has always been ready quickly and taken care of. Rideshare services navigate well also. The guest rooms are spacious, with very comfortable amenities and I have never been disappointed in the view (city or lake). We will continue to stay at this location.

Something that may be helpful for future guests: the Lake View Suite does not have a lake view unless you pay an extra $30/night+tax for a higher floor. This isn't advertised on the site, so make sure to factor it in when booking! If you need to make use of the sofa bed in that suite, the layout is such that you won't be able to access the fridge, living room drawers, or coffee machine while the bed is unfolded. Staff will absolutely refuse to move it to another location (the thing is quite heavy, although there is room in the suite for it to be placed elsewhere). We ended up just getting a rollaway bed instead, which was quite comfy but narrower. The staff who came to set it up was quite intent on doing just the bare minimum, as you can see from the photo. The lamp he had to move out of the way was left with its cord hanging in the middle of the room, with other chairs and bedding strewn about. Be prepared to do your own rearranging.

The pool is out and they don’t honestly know when it will be working again. This is a big deal for many families traveling and it is not clearly advertised anywhere on the website. They claimed it was when I called to better understand what was going on. Traveling with special needs kid who counts on a pool is a big deal, and they dismissed this completely except for “sorry.” They didn’t offer to do anything to make his stay better. It was a very ableist response and we will never stay at Loews again because of how they mishandled it. Otherwise it was a nice facility.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lowe’s hotel in Chicago. It was a beautiful, relaxing place to stay while we enjoyed our time in Chicago.

Room was clean, location was good. Booking.com had wrong information about them having a pool. No information was given on breakfast that was included… which wasn’t actually included it was just a credit of $30 per day. 2 people don’t actually get breakfast.

The Loews Chicago Hotel is in an ideal location, just steps from the Riverwalk and within walking distance to many of the city’s top spots. The staff were consistently attentive and made the stay seamless from start to finish. The rooms were well-appointed, clean, and comfortable, and I felt completely at ease throughout my stay. I would absolutely return.

Located in the Streeterville neighborhood, Lowe’s is within walking distance of Chicago’s iconic sights. Close by are Magnificent Mile, Riverwalk, Navy Pier, lots of dining options and of course shopping. Breakfast options in both the coffee shop and sit down restaurant. Public parking is across the street and very convenient. Save money on parking by using the Spot Hero app. You get unlimited in/out privileges at a fraction of the cost for hotel prices.

Modern property. Every employee we met from the moment we drove up, the front desk or bartender were very friendly and helpful.

Lastly, we valet parked for convenience. I'm all for tipping but when we came down, we tipped the guy who handed us the keys, and then another guy took the bags out and loaded the car instead of it being the same guy so had to tip him too. It felt like a way to pull another tip. Overall, great staff, pretty hotel, great location and nice rooms.

Very nice hotel in a great location. Stayed there for a conference and the staff was very kind. The price tag is on the higher side but it is well worth it if you can afford it. Quiet nights, good views of the city.

Staff was friendly and helpful which is reliable. The rooms are large and comfortable. A few things that are disappointing....a bottle of water is $9. At the store the same size and brand is $3.19. The hotel likely pays $1.50 so that mark up is inexcusable imo. For a high end hotel there are to many nicks, scrapes and blemishes. The carpet on my floor wasn't vacuumed during my 4 night stay.

My family and I stayed for New Years Eve and celebrated 2 of our daughters Birthdays 12/29 & 13/30. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Its was easy at 1,2 3, to check in which i always pay attention to that process because after a long drive i look to get in and relax. Clean rooms, great view the children were able to see us and the fireworks from the Hotel ( it was too cold for them to be out with us). We wave to them and they waved back very cool moment. Only complaints we had were the beds they are very small and very low to the ground.

Parking was safe and easy. Staff was very friendly, and the amenities were great. Traveled for a Blackhawk’s game with my wife and 2 kids aged 7 and 12. This property was perfect for our family!

Excellent hotel in a great location. Suites are large, modern, and spotless. Good lobby bar atmosphere. Booked 4 suites and one regular room for my entire family for Thanksgiving weekend (4 kids + spouses, plus 7 grandkids), and everything was perfect.

Friendly staff from the valet, front desk and room service. Breakfast was good. Perfect omelets. Location is ideal and next to the movies, walgreens. Parking is expensive but you have option for self or valet. The cocktails at the bar are nice. Exact pours tho. So i only had one round. The bar lounge area is inviting. The fire place is a nice touch and set a mood. The ambiance was great.

Room was clean and rollaway bed was also very clean, and comfortable. I appreciated the Uber/parking credit, as well as the room credit as part of their Amenities Fees, these were easy to redeem and were super convenient. We loved the location of this hotel, still feels like we’re part of the downtime, without the busyness of being in the main streets. Viewed were incredible - we loved the floor to ceiling windows. Though we throughly enjoyed this stay, our bathtub did drain quite slow, and the water pressure wasn’t as expected. Our sink handles had to be positioned in a particular way or else it would be dripping all night. All in all, very comfortable stay, would highly recommend!

Wonderful stay at Downtown Chicago Loews! A big thank you to assistant manager, Luis O., for getting my multiple reservations straightened out since there was a mix up. Luis was very patient and took time to sort it all out. The lobby was a great space for our family memento meet up and enjoy time together. The location was terrific. We spent a day at Navy Pier and there were many wonderful restaurants nearby. And the cookies for us who participated in the Chicago Marathon was a nice surprise.

The location was perfect for us, close to Riverwalk and Navy Pier. The area was quiet and felt safe. All the staff friendly and polite. We plan on using Loews for all our stays in Chicago.

Loews Chicago is an excellent place to stay. The service was outstanding, and every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The hotel feels clean, modern, and well taken care of. Rooms are comfortable with a fresh, new feel. The location can’t be beat — you’re within walking distance of the Riverwalk, Navy Pier, and just about every other tourist spot you’d want to see in the city. Perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and great service.

The young lady ,Sabrina was so welcoming, however it was short-lived when we got to the room and spoiled food was in the refrigerator with a bad odor of course. The view and room was dismal. This was a room that should have been deep cleaned for allergies of one of the guest.

Some review I read stated that the hotel was showing its age. There may be a few things here and there, but over all the room was clean & well maintained. The entire property was well kept. Thank you for a great experience, we will definitely stay here again.

We stayed for our wedding. The service was perfect everyone was so nice and friendly. I wasn’t feeling well and they directed me to the closest stores. The rooms were spacious clean. We had our baby and to have toiletries and a play pen for her was top tier and it even being so small was so appreciated.

Unfortunately, the bar/food area was short staffed. There was 7 of us dining and we had to wait almost an hour for our food. The 1 worker did as best he could but it was very inconvenient as we were on a schedule.

This is my third time staying at a Loews, but my second at the Chicago location. Each time I’ve stayed the service has been impeccable. The front desk staff are friendly and efficient, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and each location I’ve stayed at always has such beautiful views. I also want to acknowledge Luis and Ashley, they were amazing!

This place is just perfect for my baby dogs , they can stay in the room and us at the bar with any problem , they are really pet friendly

We enjoyed breakfast as well in the hotel and again great service and great food. The staff was so sweet and made us feel very special and were very helpful with things we needed. We even left an item behind and they so graciously sent it to us. Walking was doable to Navy pier and to the waterfront for the architecture boat tour. So we feel this was a great location to stay at with our plans.

So glad we stayed here. Exceptional staff. Great room and bed. Food for breakfast was also deliciod. We did not go in but the pool looked nice.

Overall, a solid place to stay in a central location. Facilities are nice with a welcoming lobby/bar area and Terrace bar on the second or third level. The downside I guess would be that for the price you have to pay, the rooms are very basic with tub showers, etc. Unless you pay double or triple for legit upgrades. But it is downtown Chicago!

Our Premium Corner Room was excellent! Glass from roof to floor around the whole corner Room with automatic Blackout blinds and also sheering curtains! Beautiful views to the lake, to the river, to the skyscrapers! The bed was very comfy too!! My husband loved the living room with a desk where he could work and enjoy the views! Awesome stay!

The staff are great, but I felt like everything I needed they charged me for like a $25 per day for a microwave. The pool closed at 9pm, which I think is early for a Chicago pool. Please beware when you book the room that sleeps 5, you have to ask for a rollaway bed for the 5th person. They even said they should charge me for it, but they can give it to me complimentary. If they advertised that the room sleeps 5, then tell me that……it was just frustrating. The staff was super nice and the rollaway bed was extremely comfortable and nice, so in the end we did have a nice stay.

Hotel and rooms are great. Very comfortable and everything we need. To park our car at the hotel cost us $112 for one night! So I guess my room wasn't $300/night it was $412! What a rip off to park my car for the night.

Rooms are nice and clean. I felt extremely comfortable in the space. Bathroom was very clean. My only issue was checking in. But I won’t complain about that because the room was so nice. I’m definitely a Loews girl!!

Self-parking can be a bit of a hassle—you have to walk a bit, and finding a spot isn't always easy. But honestly, that's the only downside.

No communication to guests about changes; didn’t receive the Uber discount that they said they were sending me; ice machine was sooooo difficult to find- not marked; keys didn’t work in the elevator; extremely high for one night; $27!fee is ridiculous; bathroom sliding door was broken

The staff was amazing. Greeted with smiles, friendly, with impeccable hospitality. The hotel was very conveniently located, easily able to walk to the Riverwalk and Navy Pier. Plenty of shopping, dinning, and amenities near by. Only problem is valet needs a better service, the text service in which they use is extremely slow. You're better off going down directly and give Valet your ticket.

The ice coffee at the coffee shop was spot on they made my coffee just the way I like it! I would definitely book again and again!

We told them my daughter got sick and we couldn't go but they decided to go ahead and make us pay the $900 anyway. Definitely do not recommend.

The stay was average, the only accommodations we asked for was to extend our stay for one more night, after two different long phone calls I was told it cannot happen and I needed to book another night through Expedia which I did but I thought I had to go through a lot for a simple request.

This was another great weekend. I have stayed at this hotel several times and won’t stay anywhere else! The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Had a window view of the lake front. The hotel is near shopping, theaters and entertainment. The restaurants around the hotel are excellent. This hotel employees are friendly and knowledgeable about area.
