Clearwater Beach Marriott Resort on Sand Key

We stayed only for a night but our teens enjoyed the amenities. The atmosphere, view, and pool was wonderful. The staff extremely friendly and kind. We will be back.

Excellent stay I am handicapped on the left side of my body and all the staff was great, helpful to the point they got a wheelchair to help me. I will return next year!!

Unfortunately I wasn't able to use my balcony due to people out there painting. So $700 was definitely not worth it.

Every one was super helpful. The hotel was very clean and we enjoyed our stay! We Will definitely return. It was also nice that they are pet friendly. A plus if you want to bring your fur babies along.

Enjoyed everything about my visit. That Sunset Colda and those tacos were Delicious. Very clean and the staff were all friendly. Definitely recommend❤️

Great place to stay

The view

Check in was around 6 pm due to the holiday but they made it up for us with other perks. Nice view and great for families!

I do have to mention what was the best part of or stay and the were the Mike as well with the dinning staff were outstanding as well as the guys at the valet parking. I don’t know if I will stay there again… because of the cleaning staff.

Breakfast was not good. I ordered a mushroom omelette, it was cold and the cheese was placed on top not inside It became noisy too early because they were painting the outside railings.

This hotel was neat and clean and the staff was AMZINGINGLY nice.

We really thought the staff were amazing from the front desk to the outdoor servers! The bugs were annoying a few days at the pool.

We visited this hotel with our three boys under the age of ten. The views were amazing. It was set away from the busy downtown area which I loved. The staff was wonderful. Breakfast was great. Pool was perfect for the parents and the kids. Beach was easily accessible and just beautiful. We will absolutely be back!

It’s a very nice hotel and all of the staff is friendly. What I loved about it it the most is how close the beach is and they have their own beach buggy that takes you and brings you back to the beach. You avoid taking your car and paying for a parking that the beach

The property was really close to a really nice state Park beach as well as the downtown Clearwater area. The transportation provided via trolly made for an easy back and forth ride. The property is also very family friendly, which was amazing for us. We had this week where the pullout bed was near the front door. Unfortunately, there was a bright blue light that we had to cover up every night, and it still was pretty bright in that room, making an uncomfortable for our daughter.

The staff member at the check-in desk was also very helpful and friendly (I’m sorry I can’t remember their name!). The service, atmosphere, and overall experience were exceptional. We had such a wonderful time and are already looking forward to booking our stay again next year! Thank you to the entire staff for making our visit so memorable!!

Everything and every staff member was so wonderful. Breakfast buffet selection was okay. If you wanted cooked specials, it was an upgrade. Servers at breakfast were wonderful. Room on the 10th floor had a great view. Cleaning crew were very friendly. Loved just hanging out at the pool area. Jackson at the front desak was very accommodating and helpful. It was an excellent experience for a quiet vacay for a couple.

Very friendly staff and clean property. The onsite restaurants were excellent and service of staff fantastic. The trolley and golf cart pick ups to the Sand Key and Clearwater beach were so convenient and came right to lobby door. I definitely recommend this hotel!

We loved it. Remodeled hotel, friendly staff, heated pool, gorgeous ocean views. Resort fee includes bike rentals, beach chairs and umbrella, and kayak rentals. Highly recommended!

Wonderful resort! Great location. The staff were pleasant and accommodating, from the front desk, the valet, bartenders and housekeepers. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

The room was nice. We reserved a room with two double beds and ended up in a King suite but it worked out well as one of us slept on the sofa bed so essentially we each had our own “room”. When it was really windy the front door would not shut and whistled all night. We were offered some of the amenities but the weather was not great so we didn’t take advantage.

location was convenient it was advertised as a continental breakfast and buffet. there was no buffet for breakfast, when asked at the reception why there was no buffet they responded and i quote, its not very busy. i paid 250 dollar a day, how is that my problem that you are not busy. false advertisemnt

Amazing pool area and activities All good

This resort was incredibly accommodating to the needs of my autistic daughter, which meant so much to our family. The staff truly went above and beyond and were absolutely amazing throughout our stay. Everything felt welcoming and thoughtful. The only small downsides were that the beds weren’t the most comfortable and the middle side table in our room was slightly broken. Other than that, we had a great experience and would absolutely recommend this resort.

The accommodation was quiet and there were plenty of New Year's events, so it was a good place to stay. The sea view was so beautiful that I didn't want to leave the room. I also liked the proximity to the beach. It is equipped with a small sink, refrigerator, and coffee machine.

The room was clean and roomy. The balcony view of the intercostal water way is breathtaking and combined with the view out the front across to the Gulf is also excellent! Staff friendly and responsive! An excellent experience!

Quiet property. Room was clean and stocked. Noises from electrical unit on pool deck made the balcony less than desirable for relaxing. Pool area was clean, lots of space and chairs. Trolley was very convenient to get to Clearwater Beach. as well as the hotel shuttle to Sand Key beach. Overall a great experience for a late October stay.

Wonderful stay! The front desk staff, Tara and Madison were all incredible! Room was perfect and the entire place was clean and beautiful! My only negative comment was resort fee AND a parking fee is just too much. Isn’t parking part of the resort?

Couple of negatives the hotel bar needs updating looks locked in the 80’s though the bar staff are superb they deserve better and the self laundry machines need replacing full of rust and some clothes come out with black streaks from the central spindle all I can live with for the beauty of this hotel not too big and not too burn and churn like the Clearwater beach hotels would I recommend absolutely i was sad when we checked out One more note be careful of the courtesy bikes you can easily fall off

I travel very often and I was amazed at the professionalism and kindness of the entire staff. Even though I was stuck in the elevator and fire department had to get us out through the emergency escape hatch, and we had to climb out the top . lol other than that fantastic. Thank you

The view was so beautiful from our room. A very dreamy vacation, with the palm trees and Gulf views. Clean and updated hotel rooms. We travelled with our toddler, and the area felt very safe. The pool was a lot of fun (great hours, as well!) Walking distance to renting jet skis, paddle boards, kayaks, boats, etc., and walking distance to a cute strip mall with small businesses - clothing stores and dining options. Will definitely be back!

The food at the hotel was very good, and there were also some nice restaurants nearby. The pool area is on the smaller side, but it was always clean and tidy, with activities running throughout the day to keep things lively. Overall, it’s a lovely hotel that made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. We’d definitely visit again.

Free trolly service to the entire strip and downtown Clearwater with the stay at this hotel. Real bonus because parking is not free anywhere or real tough to find if it is. Trolly runs most of the day and you’re free to get on and off any stop without paying but show your room keycard. Awesome place can’t wait to go back!

Awesome place by beach service is excellent and traveling was an easy hotel provided everything.

Well, beds were too small, there was no way for 2 adults to sleep on one bed. We are an average 5’10” 180 lb and 5’5” 160 lb and couldn’t fit in the bed. The AC is too loud to the level that you can’t sleep. The bed sheets were dirty too. Location is good and outdoor amenities were good too

Lots of families and tourists. Paid for the breakfast option for two but didn’t use it as it was a buffet but you needed to be seated and waited on and the wait was 40 min. Rooms were very clean, although the glass on the bottom of one of the full length doors to look outside was broken (they had it noted in their room log before). Walls between the rooms were thin and we could hear conversations next door although thankfully the family that was there was not loud. The restaurant and pool area looked better in the pictures. Bar closed early too.

Great stay! Dolphins jet skis great food

This property is unique in the way it is set up with open floors for fresh air and amazing views. The pool was always busy but never overcrowded and the staff taking pool side orders were friendly and attentive. A very special shoutout to the room service staff, they not only replenished the towels but made sure that there were no traces of the sand we dragged in from our numerous trips to the beach. The complimentary water and beach side chairs are a plus. With complimentary van service to and from the beach, this hotel has it all. Don't hesitate, especially if you are traveling with kids, this is a family friendly hotel.

We’ve all used the quote “You only get one time to make a first impression.” The valet staff set the standard very high upon our arrival. The customer service was excellent. Every employee had great customer service, from the valets, to the front desk, to the concierge, to house keeping. This property seems to operate at capacity 24/7 so they work very hard to keep the property clean for guest. Our room, pool area, gym, and other common areas were clean.

Looked to be running all the time. View from the balcony was also excellent. Staff super friendly. We drove through downtown Clearwater beach area where all the other hotels are located and I am so happy I picked to stay where we did. Close to everything but away from the overcrowded areas. My stay here was great. I have only one complaint. Our room was right over a huge fan which caused our allergies to trigger as soon as we open our patio door. It was terrible because I loved the view and couldn’t sit out to long without getting stuffy. But other than that we really enjoyed ourselves. So if you have allergies to dust don’t get room 426.

This hotel was wonderful! The service was some of the best I’ve ever had. Every single person I came into contact with was smiling and eager to help you in a genuine way.

Really liked the property. I wish the gym was bigger and had big open windows to see the pool / water. The kiddie pool needs some love, would be nice to have a little mini slide. Overall , my kids enjoyed the stay. The drinks by the pool weren’t as strong as they should’ve been , but the food was good.

The customer service was great and the hotel is very clean and neat, it’s a very family friendly hotel that has lots of activities to do. They also provide services that take you to the beach and back and they lend you chairs, water, towels, and more if you need it.

Amazing place to stay

This was a weekend stay but we did extend one more night didn't want to leave. We had a king suite on the 8th floor and water views from both sides. The staff were all awesome very welcoming, friendly, and eager to assist you anyway they could. We valeted park so our car was also available promptly whenever we needed it. Accomodations were excellents clean, modern and very comfortable. The pool and outside bar with food to order poolside or on dining area are available with courteous servicers always ready to assist you. Anything you need there is shopping both on Sand Key and lots of tourist places to go on Clearwater Beach too. We lived in Clearwater since 1981 so have to say we know a lot about the area. We moved 2 hours away 8 years ago and I also worked in Clearwater and also the beach area for 7 years. The Clearwater Beach Marriott Resort on Sand Key has always had a wonderful reputation and I have to say it still does deliver! We will defintely be planning another stay there in the near future

Wonderful property with amazing staff members who went out of their way to make every day wonderful!

Pool is small for the size of the property. Every pool seat is covered with a towel or a toy by 8am while no one is at the pool and people come back to their chairs hours later. You only get 2 beach chairs per room so 2 people in our room were without chairs. Beach isn’t walking distance.

2 chairs at the beach. What they don’t tell is that for the 1000 Plus rooms they only have 30 sets of loungers and umbrella’s. Not nearly enough even if you get there by 9am. Very disappointing.

Great experience with the staff at Marriott resort. I had one bad experience with a server at the tiki bar. She walked right passed me with my drink and didn't acknowledge me as I said it was my drink. Then when she finally acknowledged me she said with an attitude "you should've said something". Everyone around me heard me say that was my drink and told her that he did say something. That was kinda awkward.

The rooms were fresh, spotlessly clean, and recently renovated—exactly what you hope for in a beach resort. You could tell a lot of thought went into the updates, from the modern touches to the cozy beds and quiet atmosphere that made it easy to relax after a fun day in the sun. This was the perfect family escape. The resort’s peaceful location on Sand Key gave us the best of both worlds—beautiful views and easy access to Clearwater Beach fun, but with a more laid-back, private vibe. We’ll definitely be back!

Great stay

The service staff was incredibly, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend their restaurant. I had the best pork chops ever, thanks to the recommendation of Kevin our waiter. He made us feel at home. In general everyone staff members was wonderful. I can’t wait to go back.

The Marriott was fantastic, the staff was so friendly and great with our family. Our room was clean and smelled fresh. Only downside was that we wished there was a kitchenette and the room is long a narrow, but overall, we will return! Loved our stay.

Our stay at the Marriott for spring break was great. Location was good, customer service from any and all employees was honestly fantastic - they were on point for everything and displayed the Marriott service the company is known for. The rooms were a nice size, having the extra space was really nice for a longer stay. The housekeeping was very good as well, very prompt etc. Only thing I would say is in the rooms themselves, the cabinets and storage were more “beat up” than I would have expected since the hotel was just remodeled. Also, out front of the hotel, on the walkway to the parking lot and in front of the spa area, is where everyone goes to smoke- so it smells. A good pressure wash a few times a week would probably improve this spot tenfold. All the other facilities were great.

This is our favorite hotel in Clearwater Beach! Great restaurants nearby! The water view from every room and the ocean across the street! Best of both! Free transportation if we want to go to Pier and that area!

The not so good: 1) The mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable; 2) This is not a beach front property - the description says that its a seven minute walk to the beach - maybe a little longer if you're older, we missed that so shame on us, the beach is a public beach and chairs/umbrellas are part of your resort fee; 3) Onsite parking is expensive IMO If we were to go to CWB again I think we'd stay at a property that was on the beach, even if it meant spending a bit more per room.

The entire hotel staff provides excellent customer service doing more than required to ensure you have a great stay! The property is in a good location with transportation available by trolley and if near by the property offers assistance by golf cart. The location is by stores, restaurants, and the beach. Our room had an L-shaped couch, a microwave, refrigerator, bar sink, King bed, 2 televisions, a large size bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the water with a great view at sunrise and sunset! There is an onsite restaurant providing breakfast through night dining. The pool has a gated activity area for the small kids, an area to play basketball, a waterfall, chaise loungers, bars, and ski boat rentals. The indoor bar has a good seating area, multiple televisions, and live bands with great music. I highly recommend this hotel and I will be returning!!

Super good place for relaxing

Called reception and they quickly moved us to the 8th floor which has recently been refurbished (repainted) but the curtains still didn’t close properly so we were awoken in the morning. When we checked out we made our disappointment known to the desk staff who offered a very half hearted apology and nothing else to remediate the issue (a complaint will be following). Coffee in the rooms was rubbish with only 2 tiny milks and sugars to share as a couple - crazy.

The building was kind of loud at night. Great pool and view. Friendly and very clean staff. Breakfast is also good but it’s not included generally.

Heist the room attendant was very friendly, asking us if we needed extra towels or any issues with the room. Also Bob at the front door was outstanding, we had a few rooms and were 6 adults. Bob did not miss a beat offering us waters and offering to take us on the golf cart to the beach. The entire crew was 5 stars and more. We will certainly recommend to our friends and families to stay at this property.

We had a spectacular view from our room. The rooms are slightly outdated with no bathroom counter space and hideous carpet. Otherwise, we were comfortable and the staff was very pleasant.

The service we received at this hotel was top notch! The caper/bellman Austin went out of his way the entire weekend to make sure we were taken care of by unloading and holding our luggage until check in upon arrival and then bringing it to our room and coming back to pack it up and load it in our truck when we checked out. He was friendly and efficient and even recommended a great restaurant for supper. Tasha in the kitchen at breakfast was so nice and even went to the chef to get more information about the jelly/jam/preserves they provided when my husband was raving about how good it was and then gave us a recipe of how she uses it at home. We arrived a half hour before check in and the room we requested wasn’t ready so the lady at the frost desk (I don’t remember her name) gave us vouchers for a free beverage on site and then when our room was ready (15 minutes after check in) we referee breakfast vouchers for our weekend stay, which was a pleasant surprise. The resort and amenities were quite small but it was quaint. The pool was nice… until a child pooped in it and they shut it down for an hour. The pool restrooms are in need of updating. The tile was grimy and cracked and falling off the wall and the toilet was wobbly. The suite was very spacious and clean. My only recommendation would be to add table & chairs & update the coffee pot to a keurig for more functional use (we brought or own) & provide real coffee mugs rather than paper, but housekeeping brought me 2 cups.

It’s a wonderful place to stay. Only thing I have to say is just know it’s on the opposite side of the ocean and they have a golf cart with a sweet man that takes you to and from. I would have just preferred to be able to walk out and be on the beach! Other than that, it was fabulous!

Beautiful views and property

We loved staying here, rooms were nice and clean, very quiet, staff very friendly always willing to help with anything you need. You have shuttle that takes you from hotel to the beach and back, drivers even bring you water when they come pick you up from the beach. You have free water bottle that you can take anytime you need and as many as you want. They also provide beach towels. Overall, very nice stay.

It was the best my family vacation for the last many years. The best customer service , fantastic staff, very friendly environment , outstanding rooms, great pool, delicious restaurant . It was unbelievable vacation due to a super management and all workers. Special thanks to supervisor Tom S., who made extra efforts to make my vacation super fantastic .

Stay was great with both bay and gulf side views from room.

Third time visiting and it’s still one of the nicer places on Clearwater Beach but it’s fallen off a bit. The first issue is the complete disregard for the no smoking rules. People ripping darts right outside the exits was gross and never addressed. The was also rampant use of the devil’s lettuce. I don’t turn down a well rolled doobie in many situations but in and around a family hotel is a bit much. It’s probably because Florida…but there didn’t seem to be as much staff as in prior years, thus the pool and pool area weren’t as clean as in previous visits. No floating Mounds bars or anything but still not the usual standard. CWB itself is beginning to look a lot like most other East Coast beach towns - overrun with stores selling T-shirts with code words for wieners and hoo-hoos and thousands of people who wear those shirts. Staff was awesome, Marriot shareholders need to let go of a few bucks and hire more people and better compensate them.

Amazing stay! Staff is friendly and helpful, location is a must, pool and jacuzzi are great and suites are spacious. The only thing I thought was not that up to par was the carpet in the bedroom, it had stains which looked dirty. Other than that, I plan to come as often as I can!

As always we had Ann awesome time. The front desk workers was very snooty and uptight no matter who was on duty. However the bellhops were always happy and willing to help which is why I dropped them 20 each time I saw them. Little things like a smile go a far war.

The hotel was generally really nice with beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately the building works going on at 6am most mornings kind of ruined the experience. I understand that maintenance needs to take place some time but it should be done at a reasonable hour. Staff were completely unresponsive to the multiple complaints from guests.
